Dear Friends,
Many of you may recall that, over the past year, Capitol Hill Prayer Partners joined with several other ministries to present a Letter of Repentance to our Jewish friends, asking forgiveness for the crimes we have committed against them over the centuries in the name of "Christianity," but which actually went against the teachings of our faith.
This Letter also recognizes the covenant that we have as believers with the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and ends in bestowing the Aaronic Blessing upon our friends in Israel.
In the wonderful ways which only our God knows, this Letter has now gained the attention of key authorities in Israel, and will actually be presented during the "First Jerusalem Assembly" to be held in the Knesset next Wednesday, March 28th.
The Knesset's Christian Allies Caucus is the host of this two-day event (also held on March 27 at a site close by), and has graciously allowed us the opportunity to offer a formal presentation of the Letter of Repentance to the Jewish people as part of their program.
We especially wish to thank MK Benny Elon, in particular, for granting permission for the Letter of Repentance to be read at the Knesset, and we will remain eternally grateful to have had this opportunity.
HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED
There are two ways you can still be involved in this project:
First, if you are currently in Israel and would like to attend the First Jerusalem Assembly, registration is still open for the next few days. Please contact Pastor David Decker at: dekker@netvision.net.il for more information.
Second, for ALL OF YOU ON THIS LIST AND TO THE MANY, MANY OTHERS WHO WILL RECEIVE THIS NEWS VIA FORWARDING . . .
We invite your ministry to prayerfully consider becoming an endorser of the Letter of Repentance, too. If your ministry does not have a website, you can still be listed without one. Please note, however, that INDIVIDUAL NAMES cannot be listed as endorsers. Click here to visit the website for the Letter of Repentance.
We close with this blessing for you, out of Zion:
"Let us go to his dwelling place;
let us worship at his footstool
arise, O LORD, and come to your resting place,
you and the ark of your might.
May your priests be clothed with righteousness;
may your saints sing for joy."
(Psalm 132:7)
In His Amazing Grace,
Sara Ballenger, Founder and President
