The Daily Brief - Sunday, February 28, 2010

And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." (Isaiah 6:3)

PUBLISHING NOTE:

Tomorrow (Monday, March 1, 2010), we will publish another edition of the Daily Brief, instead of "On Capitol Hill This Week, " (the OCAP) as usual. Thank you.

Introduction

Dear Friends,

In our urgency to release the prayer request yesterday in advance of the tsunami that was headed to Hawaii, we neglected to post other items for prayer that were waiting in the bin . . .
We thank the Lord that He has blessed us with a forgiving group of Prayer Partners and that, fundamentally, all is well.

Here, then, is "the rest of the news" from that edition. Amen.
We also praise God for the answer to prayer for the safety of all who were in the path of that approaching tsunami, whose waves turned out to be minor, at best.

3. US not seeking "crippling sanctions" on Iranian people - ICEJ News

Iran insists Arab airlines must use term "Persian Gulf"

4. Iran's "resistance" axis holds trilateral meeting in Damascus - ICEJ News

Syrian President Bashar Assad hosted a dinner in Damascus on Thursday evening attended by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah and held mainly to discuss "the Zionist threat"

Earlier yesterday, (Friday) Ahmadinejad and Assad launched a blistering verbal attack on the "criminal" state of Israel. Ahmadinejad warned "if the Zionis t regime wants to repeat its past mistakes, this will constitute its demise and annihilation." He added that Arab nations will usher in a new Middle East "without Zionists and without colonialists."

5. American support for Israel on the rise - ICEJ News

According to a February Gallup poll of American attitudes regarding global issues, American support for Israel stands at 62%, the highest level since the 1991 Gulf War.

Health Care Summit:

"My Way or the Highway"

The president spent his closing remarks of the so-called bipartisan summit on health care belittling all ideas except his and his party's. He asked, somewhat rhetorically, "Is there enough serious effort that in a month's time, or a few weeks time, or six weeks time, we could actually resolve something? And if we can't, then I think we have got to go ahead and make some decisions. And then that's what elections are for." There is a lot in these 48 words. First, this is political jargon for telling those opposed to socialist health care that the man in the White House is saying, "It's my way or the highway."

And opposed, Americans are--a poll taken by oft liberally skewed Gallup says that 49% of Americans oppose the Democratic healthcare bill while only 42% support it. But by a 52% to 39% margin, Americans do not want health care shoved down their throats in a reconciliation bill. Fox News released a poll indicating 50 % of Americans want legislators to do nothing on health care. Interesting that by a margin of 59 to 34 percent, Americans want Congress to start over on health care reform if there was no bipartisan consensus reached at the health care summit. And 56% disapprove of the job Obama is doing on health care.

The American people are aligning against Congress and the White House on socialized health care. The Democratic Party is receiving signals from its boss that it should use its supermajority to ram the socialization of over 10 percent of the economy through Congress and into law. "And then, that's what elections are for." Well, elections are brewing right now. There are efforts in New Jersey and other states to recall senators who vote for such legislation--meaning that if the recall efforts are successful, senators who are not up for reelection would have to stand for reelection early. As these efforts mount, election day may come early for many who take the course set by the Oval Office.

Socialized health care was the big winner at the summit. There was not a mention that socialization of the health care industry is unconstitutional. There was not a statesman among them. They took the bait and debated not whether to have socialized health care, but what type of socialized health care to have. The White House is willing to risk all its political capital to sink socialist hooks into the world's largest free market economy. Perhaps Americans looked upon these leaders as the Lord looked upon Israel in Ezekiel 22:30, saying, And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Islamists Confront Rep. Myrick

Rep. Myrick, Muslims defend, debate in testy town hall meeting

In a testy two-hour town hall meeting, U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick argued Thursday night that the threat of homegrown Islamist terrorism is real and defended herself against charges by local Muslims that she was spreading fear about their religion. Using charts, maps, handouts and even a video slamming a Charlotte TV station, the Charlotte Republican told the crowd of about 175 people, most of them Muslims, that she has never condemned Islam or linked moderate Muslims with terrorism. "I'm talking about the sympathizers and supporters of a radical agenda," she said. "It's not that all Muslims are bad or all Muslims are trying to do this." Hoping to repair her relations with a Muslim community that has taken her comments over the years as inflaming hatred, Myrick said she agreed to the town hall meeting to "build bridges" with her Muslim constituents. She invited them to join her in opposing those who she said were "trying to hijack" Islam. (The Charlotte Observer) Read more

NY Judge Expands Review

Judge Expanded Review on Terrorism Suspect

When a federal judge in Manhattan ordered prosecutors to search Justice Department records concerning a terrorism suspect, he granted a broader review than the government wanted to undertake, a newly released court opinion shows. The case involves Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, who faces charges stemming from the 1998 bombings of two American Embassies in East Africa. He later worked for Osama bin Laden as a bodyguard and cook, the government has said. After his capture in 2004, he was held for nearly five years in the C.I.A.'s secret jails and later at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, before being moved into the civilian court system last year. He has pleaded not guilty. His lawyers have cited the delays in bringing him to court in a motion to dismiss charges on the ground that his constitutional right to a speedy trial was violated. The issue could arise again in a civilian trial of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the professed mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, if he is ever given one. (NT Times) Read more.

The 40-Day University Daniel Fast

Calling all of those whose hearts are stirred in colleges and universities across America to engage March 1st through April 9th in a 40-day Daniel fast (no meats, no sweets and limited intake) releasing one great cry, one dominating prayer, "Lord of the harvest thrust forth laborers into the harvest field. Give us a third great awakening in the universities of America!"

There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens. Great revolutions for good or for evil occur in the vacuum created by these openings. It is in these times that key men and women, and even entire generations, risk everything to become the hinge of history - the pivotal point that determines which way the door will swing. We believe that America is in such a moment of history.

The 40-Day Fast

Four years ago, a profound movement of 40 day fasting and prayer chains spontaneously erupted on university campuses across America. God was breathing prayer for university awakenings. At the same time, Lou Engle joined with the Justice House of Prayer in Boston for 40 days of prayer and fasting from March 1st to April 9th. Hundreds of young people gathered to pray and fast, day and night, for breakthrough at Harvard and for the Ivy League schools. . .

With this faith in our hearts, we are calling all of those whose hearts are stirred in colleges and universities across America to engage March 1st through April 9th in a 40-day Daniel fast (no meats, no sweets and limited intake) March 1st through April 9th releasing one great cry, one dominating prayer, "Lord of the harvest thrust forth laborers into the harvest field. Give us a third great awakening in the universities of America!"

40 years ago a great spiritual rebellion and revolution took place on the campuses of America and now we are reaping the fruit of that 40-year rebellion. But, 40 years are up and we are believing that a new generation will arise with the flaming tongue of the gospel and launch a spiritual revolution that could shake humanism and false ideologies through a mass harvest of souls coming to Christ. Shall we not dare to believe that giants were meant to fall and that God is greater than the boasting spiritual powers that dominate our universities today? Let us go up and possess the land for the sake of Christ.

Purim Celebrated This Weekend

Celebrated on the Hebrew month of Adar 14 and 15 (February 28-March 1, this year), Purim is a fun holiday to remember the events from the book of Esther. The book of Esther, called "megila" Esther, is read aloud in the synagogues. Every time the name Haman is read, the entire congregation makes loud noises to drown out the sound of his name. They boo, hiss, and shake noise-makers called "rashanim." Every time the name Mordechai is read, they cheer loudly.

Many costume parties are held, with outlandish costumes being the norm. In Israel, children (often religious) dress up in costumes not seen elsewhere, such as Torah (Gen.-Deut.) scrolls and high priests. The fast of Esther is observed by many. This year it was held early, on Thursday, February 25, so the fast would not land on Shabbat (Sabbath or Saturday).

Israel has had many "Hamans" to deal with throughout the generations since the time of Esther. Today, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who comes from the same general region of biblical Haman, seems to fulfill that role in the minds of many people, but he is not the only one who wishes to destroy Israel. Therefore, we still need "Esthers" who will intercede for Israel "for such a time as this." (By Bridges for Peace Staff)

- Pray for Israel's safety and hold up the shield of faith and God's covenant promises for Israel against all the enemies' plans and schemes. Praise God that His covenant with Israel is a "forever" covenant.

- "For a mere moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you. With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you," says the LORD, your Redeemer . . . "Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake." (Isaiah 54:7-8, 15)

Arab Islamist and terror chiefs called to Tehran for anti-Israel war planning

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has summoned all the terrorist groups Tehran sponsors - Islamist and radical Palestinian - for a broad gathering Saturday, Feb. 27, to finalize their roles in military operations against Israel in the event of a Middle East conflagration. This is reported by DEBKAfile's Iranian and intelligence sources. It will be the sequel to the preliminary discussions Ahmadinejad held with Syrian president Bashar Assad and heads of the Lebanese Hizballah and Palestinian Hamas Thursday, Feb. 25, during a brief visit to Damascus. The guests of honor at the Tehran parley will be Hamas leader politburo chief Khaled Meshaal and Hizballah deputy leader Naim Kassem.

The Lebanese Shiite group's secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah will not be there because he never leaves his Beirut bunker for fear Israeli assassins will catch up with him, especially since the high-profile Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was killed mysteriously in Dubai last month. And Nasrallah is not alone; some of his fellow terror chiefs hesitate to show their faces outside their strongholds - even in friendly Tehran - since the Dubai police disclosed that three of the suspects in the Mabhouh killing, carriers of Australian passports, departed Dubai for Iran. They were said to have travelled by sea ferry to Bandar Abbas, central headquarters of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, before flying out of Tehran international airport to unknown Far East destinations. The Arab terrorist chiefs infer that even the Iranian capital and Revolutionary Guards headquarters are no longer secure against penetration by the Hamas commander's assassins.

The Iranians have therefore decided that their official statement on the conference, due to end Monday, March 1, will name only a few of the participants; the presence of many other key figures will be kept secret.

According to DEBKAfile's Iranian sources, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, assisted by a large team of aides, will lead the proceedings and steer them toward conclusions and decisions in line with Iran's regional goals. The conference, called to pull together Iran and its allies' preparations for war with Israel, will be presented officially as an effort to reconcile the feuding Palestinian factions. Few will find this believable, especially when Hamas attends the conference on its own, except for several radical Palestinian splinter groups, and representatives of the rival Fatah and Palestinian Authority were not invited.

Presidential bureau personnel have performed most of the staff work on planning and the roles assigned the various organizations in any conflict with Israeli and/or Israeli forces. Senior members of the Revolutionary Guards and other sections of Iran's armed forces will be recruited to chair discussion panels and subcommittees aided by specialists in guerrilla and terror warfare. The Daily Brief - Thursday, February 25, 2010

And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." (Isaiah 6:3)

Today's Daily Brief

1. N. Korea Threatens 'Powerful' Attack Over U.S. Drills - AP

North Korea threatened a "powerful" attack if the U.S. and South Korea proceed with joint military drills next month, warning Thursday that it could even resort to nuclear means. The threat, routinely issued before South Korea and the U.S. embark on regularly scheduled military exercises, was made just hours after President Barack Obama's special envoy to North Korea arrived in Seoul to discuss the North.

- While this is a "routine" threat, those who do not know God can act foolishly without warning. Posturing generally hides a dangerous arrogance and ulterior motive. Pray against any rash actions of the North Korean regime.

- How long shall they utter and speak hard things and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? They break in pieces Thy people, O Lord, and afflict Thine heritage. (Psalm 94:4,5)

2. Haitian voodoo leader vows 'war' after attack on ceremony - AFP

Haiti's supreme voodoo leader vowed "war" on Wednesday after Evangelicals attacked a ceremony organized by his religion honoring those killed in last month's massive earthquake.

- Lord, as the nation of Haiti attempts to recover from the devastation of the earthquake, we pray that You will show Yourself mighty against the demonic forces of their nation. We also ask that Your people will show wisdom in the way they deal with Voodoo practitioners, that the Glory of the Living God will be revealed. We ask for Throne Room strategies for prayer!

- And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers. (Micah 5:12)

3. Russia says won't back 'crippling' Iran sanctions - Ynet News

Russia will not support "crippling" sanctions against Iran, including any that may be slapped on the Islamic Republic's banking or energy sectors, a senior Russian diplomat said on Wednesday.

- Lord, as the alliance between Russia and our enemies seems to solidify; we ask that Your promise of intervention against them also come to pass. Remember, Lord, Your people and Your protection over Israel!

- Thus will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 38:23)

4. GOP to Obama: 'Let's Start Over' on Health Care Reform - FOXNews.com

Republicans opened the highly anticipated White House summit Thursday by urging President Obama to "start over" on reforming the nation's health care system and to renounce an unusual move to sidestep a GOP filibuster. Democratic leaders argued back, saying it was too late to start over and claiming that most Americans want health care reform now. A new poll, however, shows that Americans are more concerned about the nearly 10 percent unemployment rate than they are about health care reform.

- Lord, as the hype and pressure over the administration's healthcare bill increases, we ask that You strengthen those who understand its implications and problems to stop it from passing. We pray that if today's "summit" is nothing more than a political move to blame those in opposition, You reveal it to the American people.

- For they speak not peace; but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. This Thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord be not far from me. (Psalm 35:20,22)

5. U.S. general hails historic day in Marjah - MSNBC

A U.S. general hailed "a very historical day, a new beginning" Thursday, as an Afghan flag was raised over the former Taliban stronghold of Marjah and troops began mopping up the last pockets of resistance.

- Thank You, Lord, for this step toward victory over the Taliban. We pray for wisdom and strength for our troops and the NATO forces involved. We ask that You hedge the city of Marjah against extremists, pour out Your Spirit over the people, and set them free of the past.

- O sing unto the Lord a new song; for He hath done marvelous things: His right hand and His holy arm, hath gotten Him the victory. (Psalm 98:1)

6. Maryland to recognize gay marriages from other places - Washington Post

Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler (D) declared Wednesday that Maryland will recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere and that its agencies should immediately begin affording gay married couples the same rights as heterosexual ones.

- Father, we have repented repeatedly for the sexual sins that plague our land. We ask that You do whatever it takes to bring holiness and righteousness back to America, from our nation's capitol and throughout the land.

- For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:20-21)

7. NCAA Yanks Focus On the Family Ad - AP

Weeks after scoring a publicity coup with a 30-second Super Bowl ad featuring Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, conservative Christian group Focus on the Family is at the center of another marketing tug-of-war -- this time involving the major governing body of college sports.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association removed a Focus on the Family banner ad from one of its Web sites this week, NCAA spokesman Bob Williams said Wednesday.

- Father, we pray for a legal action that will guarantee the right of speech for all Americans, and especially Your people. So many Christians are involved in Collegiate Sports, as well as professional sports, that we are grieved by the actions of the NCAA. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to the leaders of Collegiate Sports and show them truth.

- And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

3. Hamas founder's son worked for Shin Bet for years - Ha'aretz

Using Marxist Dialectic To Convince Business Leaders to Tolerate Socialism

Members of the Business Roundtable--a group of America's business leaders--received a clear object lesson in the Marxist Hegelian Dialectic from the man who occupies the Oval Office. Dialectic was perfected by communist Karl Marx to get people to accept communism. Hegelian Dialectic was perfected by Georg Hegel, a disciple of Marxism. Ideas are presented in three stages. The first stage is the thesis, which causes a reaction from the listener. The second stage is the antithesis, which creates confusion in the listener, and the third stage is synthesis, which presents the alternative, more logical resolution of tension between the thesis and antithesis. This method is also used in the public school system.

At the Business Roundtable, the thesis was that the man in the White House is not a socialist and does not support socialist policies. His antithesis is a post-modern recounting of a historic government role in establishing regulations, infrastructure and military protection so that Americans can have jobs and live freely. The synthesis is that the government must borrow money, take over the financial, auto and healthcare industries, provide jobs, limit executive salaries in private industry, and conduct the research to provide jobs in the future. In other words, he said he wasn't a socialist. He gave his version of government's historic role. He then made acceptance of socialism sound reasonable.

Here's how it went down: He first said, "Now, contrary to the claims of some of my critics and some of the editorial pages, I am an ardent believer in the free market." Then he said, "...we've arrived at a juncture in our politics where reasonable efforts to update our regulations, or make basic investments in our future, are too often greeted with cries of 'government takeover' or even 'socialism.'" And finally he rattled off his synthesis of socialism. He said the only way we are going to get through the challenges we face is "if we align the interests of workers and business and government around a common purpose."

He's got it backwards. Free market means the government interest is getting out of the way of workers and business by fostering regulated, but open competition. So the man who occupies the White House believes that socialism is the route to go. And he is trying to convince Americans to support his policies by saying that they are not socialism and that they are reasonable according to an American history twisted to suit his argument. James 1:8 says, "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." The Hegelian Dialectic is designed to take advantage of such double mindedness by creating a mental crisis and presenting a reasonable solution. Do not be deceived by a smooth tongue and eloquent reasoning.

Obama Ignores Abortion Issue Today at Health Care Summit

Hours into today's health care summit, House Minority Leader John Boehner finally brought up the issue pro-lifers were waiting to hear. "For 30 years we have had a federal law that says that we're not going to have taxpayer funding of abortions," Boehner said. "This bill, that we have before us, for the first time in 30 years allows for the taxpayer funding of abortions." While the president went on at great length about many other aspects of the bill -- he offered no response on abortion funding.

The subject did not come up again. Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., who offered the pro-life amendment in the House bill, was not invited.

However, the summit did offer a clear picture of the differences and similarities between Republican and Democrat proposals to solve the problems.

Obama began the day off with a stark assessment of how the debate has gone so far. "This became a very ideological battle," he said. "It became a very partisan battle and politics I think ended up trumping practical common sense."

Ashley Horne, federal issues analyst with Focus on the Family Action, said a debate is essential when facing such sweeping changes in federal policy.

"The plans offered by the Democrats and the president have been unpopular with the American public," she said, "because they contain provisions that raise the cost of health care for most Americans and fund abortion with federal dollars." (CitizenLink)

Snapshots of Health Summit

Comments by Senators John McCain, Lamar Alexander and Tom Coburn Noted

"Republicans will benefit the most as evidenced by the fact that the first two Republican speakers, Senator Lamar Alexander, a center-right senator from Tennessee, and Senator Tom Coburn, a medical doctor, gave opening remarks full of common sense solutions which will appeal to the American people.

As the Blair House summit proceeds throughout today, the Democrats will be shown to be the intransigent party, already seen by the fact that Obama, the speaker and the senate majority leader refused to denounce their intention to jam through a bill allowing the federal government to take over 1/6 of the American economy using the process of reconciliation. Had they been willing to do that, the Democrats would be seen as willing to compromise.

Because of the Democrats' determination to jam through their ObamaCare bill--even after the thousands of Tea Party events and the elections in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts--seen during today's Blair House summit, the minds of independents and others will indeed be changed and the poll numbers against ObamaCare will actually increase in the next few days. . .." BORDER PRAYER ALERT

Last night the militia belonging to one of the cartels, moved into our city of Miguel Aleman, across from Roma, Tx., attacked the city's police dept killing approx a half dozen of them and beheading them. Most of the policemen surrendered quickly and were handcuffed or tied up and kidnapped. Others are thought to have escaped across the river into the US. City Hall has been taken over by these pirates and all the elected officials are under house arrest. All 27 public schools are shut down as well as the private ones. I just came back across to Roma for the 2nd time today, but my experience on the streets of my city of Miguel Aleman has been erie to say the least. At this time the strong military presence in town is not moving and I was informed that they are awaiting a large military contingency with even aircraft cover, to take the city back and enforce the rule of law. The big fire-fight is yet in the making.

Prayer requests:

(1.) As an organization, we are being told by the Spirit to move quickly. I have spoken to the owner of the powerful, secular radio station in Miguel Aleman concerning daily time to minister the Gospel to the fearful and the needy. . . we are presently waiting for his response in the next several hours.

(2.) As soon as we get radio time, we sense that the Lord would have us begin a early evening evangelistic service at the Dream Center, 7 nights per week.

(3) Because there is tremendous physical hunger in the city, we will operate a soup kitchen at the Dream Center two meals per day, seven days per week.

(4.) that the Lord would supply every person, His holy gifts, to make all this happen on such short notice and that the Lord would provide for the resources to meet every need.

That the light of His love would shine so strongly and that the prophetic Word given numerous times that this would be a Storehouse of His Glory would now be birthed in the middle of chaos and destruction. Aleluya!!!!!!!!!

Join in Prayer for Israel on Friday

This coming Friday, there is a special time 10:00 am 2:00 pm, when many of the churches of Jerusalem are gathering to pray and fast against this spirit of prejudice, and injustice, a spirit of anti-Messiah. We invite you to join us. We pray the time change, while relevant, should not be the deciding factor in your participation, unity of purpose is most important. God will give grace if you are unable to do it exactly the same time as Israel. However we know He will also give untold blessing to those who are willing and can make the sacrifice.

I ask, if convicted, please pass this on to any friends, prayer chains or churches you feel would want to join this time of prayer . . .

Blessings of prosperity in the Lord for your servant s heart.

Australian Senate rejects gay marriage bill

February 26, 2010

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Below is a report from the website of The Age newspaper this morning Friday re the vote on the Marriage Equality Amendment Bill 2009 in the Senate early last night.

The vote was indeed overwhelmingly against the Bill 45 to 5. That means 26 senators didn't vote on the Bill, and probably for a whole range of reasons. I believe that Green's Senator Hanson-Young is indeed being presumptuous in saying that that was their only form of protest. I suspect many of them knew the bill was going to be defeated in a landslide and attended other meetings and commitments.

Praise God for the victory and give Him all the glory. Bless you all for praying and I pray that the Lord bless all the members of the Marriage Delegation.

I pray that such a bill intending to legalise same-sex marriage in Australia, under any guise, and in mockery of God and His word, never again darken the doors of our Federal Parliament.

With love in Christ Jesus,

Kris

Australian Senate rejects gay marriage bill

February 26, 2010

THE Senate has comprehensively defeated a bid to legalise gay marriage, although a third of the senators did not turn up for the vote.

Before the gay pride Mardi Gras in Sydney this weekend, the bill was rejected by 45 votes to five, with only the Greens voting to liberalise the marriage laws.

But some of the senators who were absent from the chamber are uncomfortable with their party's official policies opposing a move to let gay couples marry. Among the notable absentees were WA Labor senator Louise Pratt, and South Australian Liberal Simon Birmingham, who was at a meeting in the opposition leader's office.

All the senior ministers including Climate Change Minister Penny Wong were at a cabinet meeting. Because it was what the major parties term a ''Mickey'' - as in Mouse - where they vote together, senators who had a conscientious objection were not required to seek leave to miss the vote.

Senator Hanson-Young seized on the absentee rate to declare the major parties split. ''There may have been a group of senators voting to keep discrimination against same-sex couples being able to marry the one they love, but well over one-third of all senators were absent for the final vote, presumably the only form of protest open to them,'' she said.

The Greens have pledged to reintroduce the bill after the election.

A Vermont judge has ordered the arrest of a former lesbian turned Christian who's been in a long custody battle with her ex-partner.

- Father, may the excellency of the power of God surround this Christian mother and her child with the blood of Jesus. We ask for two heavenly warrior angels to stand toe-to-toe against this judge and the ex-partner and back them into a corner that they cannot move out against this mother and child. Bind the evil spirits in those who are causing this assault. In Jesus Name.

- "But the Lord your God, you shall fear; and He shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies." (II Kings 17:39)

- God, reach out to this boy with holy love and give him a heart of flesh and remove the evil spirits from his heart of stone. Go deep into his spirit and bring sincere repentance. Deal with him to forgive himself and run into the arms of Jesus where there is safety and salvation for his soul. In Jesus Name.

- "And Jesus took them up in His arms, put His hands upon them, and blessed them." (Mark 10:16)

3. Shoe prints, tapes link suspects to Texas church arsons - CNN

Shoe prints left behind at the scene of several church fires in east Texas, as well as surveillance tapes and witness accounts, led police to two men now charged in one blaze and suspected in a string of others, according to court documents.

- Father, we ask that all the churches be restored more beautiful than before, and fill the atmosphere within them with the presence of God. Lord, these men whose minds have been blinded that they cannot see the true depths of the evil they have committed, we ask that You bring deliverance to them by the blood of Jesus. Release them from the grips of darkness and destruction, Lord. Bring conviction to their souls and sorrow to their hearts that they repent and turn from their evil ways and find Jesus as Savior of their souls. In Jesus Name.

- "That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)

4. Fed to Get $200 Billion Boost - Wall Street Journal

The Treasury said it will borrow $200 billion and leave the cash proceeds on deposit with the Federal Reserve, reviving a program that will make it easier for the Fed to raise interest rates when the time comes.

- Father, we call forth righteous men and women who will rise up in God's power to take the reigns from those who juggle the financial market like a yo yo. Break the gross evil off our Treasury, the Federal Reserve and our banks. God, we ask that You rise up in Your holy wrath and take down this destructive power that wants to throw our country into the misery of a depression. Bind under the blood of Jesus the sordid minds of men and women who have devoted their very lives to steal, kill and destroy and love tearing down every semblance of good. We declare God is the Almighty and stands victorious above all. In Jesus Name.

- "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Your ways, King of saints. Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your Name? For You only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before You; for Your judgments are made manifest." (Revelation 15:3-4)

5. Iran nuclear offer falls short - Jerusalem Post

Iran has formally set out its terms for giving up most of its cache of enriched uranium in a confidential document seen by the Associated Press on Tuesday, and the conditions fall short of what has been demanded by the United States and other world powers.

- Father, deplete the supply of enriched uranium in Iran, to the point of being insufficient and without power. Lord, bring the treacherous leaders of Iran to their knees. By a miracle of God conform their ways to be pleasing to You. These people live in misery being bound by forces of darkness who torment them day and night. They give themselves to serve wickedness. May they soon be delivered from the evil snares of satan, the arch enemy, and come into the light of Jesus Christ, who is the Light of the world. In Jesus Name.

- "That you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." (I Peter 2:9)

- Father, surround all these Irish Republican splinter groups with the heavenly host of the Lord's army and hold them back that they cannot move. Lift the spirit of destruction out of their hearts and bring repentance to their souls. We declare a turnaround and return of peace to their land. In Jesus Name.

- "And all the people shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you." (Deuteronomy 13:11)

7. Iran Put Nuke Plant in Mountain Near Base in Case of Attack - Fox News

Iran's nuclear chief said Tuesday his country built its newly revealed uranium enrichment facility inside a mountain and next to a military site to ensure continuity of its nuclear activities in case of an attack.

- Father, though this enemy of Israel attempt to ensure itself against an attack, may it be known to the leaders of Iran that he who goes to war against Israel shall be defeated. This is God's Word. Any man or nation who moves against Israel invites the wrath of God. So Lord, we ask that You oversee every move that Iran is taking and weaken their force. Protect the people of God in Iran. Make them invisible from the eyes of the killer. Set up a wall of angels that will hold back a nuclear war. In the Name of Jesus.

- "But unto the place in Israel which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His Name there." (Deuteronomy 12:5)

The settlers, meanwhile, can smell Netanyahu's weakness and are undermining the authority of the state.

3. Syria slips Hizballah missiles for destroying Israeli cities - Debka

The secret transfer of the mobile surface-to-surface Syrian-made Fateh-110 (range 250km) missile to Hizballah sparked the prediction Friday, Feb. 5 from an unnamed US official that cross-border arms smuggling from Syria into Lebanon outside state control was "very dangerous" and paved the way to war similar to Israel-Hizballah conflict of 2006.

4. Iran using Hezbollah as diversion from nukes - Ha'aretz

Does a Christian Phalange leader in Lebanon know something that Israeli newspaper readers do not know? In a statement published in Lebanon, Dr. Samir Ja'ja claims that Hezbollah may involve his country in a war in the near future. He also warned that the Lebanese home front is far less prepared than its Israeli counterpart for war and therefore the civilian population in his country will bear the brunt of any future round of fighting.

Canada, America, and Socialized Medicine

Canada's Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams came to the United States for heart surgery because he wanted the best procedure which wasn't offered in Canada and because he didn't want to be perceived as "jumping in a line or a wait list." For all the leftist arguments that America should adopt a socialist health care program like that of Canada's, one of Canada's top officials has provided the two base arguments of why the United States should never go with socialist medical care -- the procedures are limited and the waiting list may preclude receiving timely treatment. As Williams earnestly said, "This was my heart, my choice, and my health."

Socialized medicine, no matter how you cut it, is socialism - Marxism, if you will. And only a socialist within the framework of a socialist party would want to implement it. Socialism is a form of humanism where government becomes the "god" of the people, who must seek the government for their very livelihood. In the case of socialized medicine, socialists inside the White House and the U.S. Congrress wish to take control of about 10 per cent of the U.S. economy and control the health decisions of every single American. As in Canada, what is considered the most "friendly" of socialist healh care systems, the government controls the types of procedures offered, and who receives them when.

Americans across the nation have protested the socialists in the Democratic Party who are forcing socialized medicine upon U.S. citizens. Movements have begun to recall Senators who voted for this unconstitutional and dangerous concept. The leadership of the socialist health care movement in both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives are facing tough re-election races. Many of them are behind the polls by double-digits. Yet the White House, led by a Marxist by all accounts, pushes this agenda forward at all costs. Obama knows if he is able to socialize health care, it will become the anchor of socialism that will re-make America as he has promised.

Socialism competes with God in that man, in the socialist system, plays god by making citizens bow to the government for their general welfare. Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, No man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Strong's Greek Dictionary says that "mammon" is "wealth personified or deified" So, which is your God: God or government? Will you support socialism, even though it is well marketed by socialists, or will you choose to serve God? In America, you have a choice of how you are governed. I choose to do as Joshua said, "as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Health Care Summit

Despite the American people's rejection of Obamacare, despite tea parties, town hall meetings, election reversals, Democrats leaving Congress in frustration, and the threat of electoral cataclysm in November, President Obama and some Congressional Democrats seem determined to push their vision for socialized medicine upon America. The President's new outline, published Monday, will be discussed at his pro forma "bipartisan" Health Care Summit tomorrow (2/25).

Democrats will reportedly use the "nuclear option" to try passing the health care boondoggle, attach their plan to a budget reconciliation bill, which requires only 51 Senate votes for passage (no filibuster). With a Senate majority, Democrats should be able to muster 51 votes. The President says the plan will not cover abortion, but experts say it will. Pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood will also benefit. Pro-lifers are staking their hopes on 64 House Democrats and 176 Republicans who voted for the pro-life Stupak-Pitts Amendment in the House - that they stand together again to prevent passage of any bill that includes abortion.

PRAYER REQUEST:

May abortion, about which Democratic leaders have repeatedly lied to persuade pro-lifers to support their plan, be addressed head-on tomorrow. May Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) and Joe Pitts' (R-Pa.) amendment become a deal killer for Republicans and Democrats. May God stir the American people to further reject Obamacare, and may the final bill be defeated by a huge majority!

- Accept this atonement for your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, O LORD, and do not hold your people guilty of the blood of an innocent man. And the bloodshed will be atoned for. So you will purge from yourselves the guilt of shedding innocent blood, since you have done what is right in the eyes of the LORD. (Dt. 21:8-9)

On the Shedding of Innocent Blood

God is personally pledged to avenge the shedding of innocent blood.

For He will avenge the blood of his servants.(Deuteronomy32:43) and for his law decrees the shedding of the killer's blood by other men: Whoever sheds man's blood, by man, his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God has God made man. (Genesis 9:6)

Prayer:

Father, in these dark days, when Satan has blinded men's souls to the TRUTH of Your Word, we stand in the gap and we cry out for mercy for our nation. We ask that You would provide any means of divine intervention necessary, so that our federal tax dollars NOT be used even one more day to slay the unborn babies in our land. We ask You to please stop this holocaust of the unborn, and to show us the way of escape. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Tomorrow's Summit

ObamaCare: The Latest Daytime Drama

Tomorrow the American people will be treated to new a daytime drama show. It s called "ObamaCare," and it will be broadcast live from Washington, D.C. Starring in the leading role of this drama is a new face on the political stage hailing from Chicago, Barack Obama. The supporting cast consists of numerous veterans of the political theater from both stage Right and stage Left.

I m sure it will be a gripping, action-packed event, keeping you on the edge of your seat as this cast of characters grapples with transformational change. Depending on how tomorrow s pilot program is received, ObamaCare may be coming to your town. The cost of admission is just $1 trillion.
I can joke about tomorrow s summit because no one seriously expects any major breakthroughs or compromises to be struck. Most observers feel this is just for show, setting the stage for Obama and congressional Democrats to go nuclear and change the rules, ramming socialized medicine through Congress using a complicated parliamentary maneuver. (By the way, Obama and Senate Democrats were vehemently against such moves before they were for them.) That said, Republicans must do a good job of getting their views across to the American people who are watching. They cannot allow the president to dominate the event, which is exactly what the White House intends.

Karl Rove recently reviewed the transcript of Obama's meeting with House Republicans in Baltimore. He was astonished by the number of statements Obama made that were demonstrably false. Rove warns House Republicans not to let the president get away with it again. It s not necessary to yell "You lie," but Republicans must respectfully call the president on every misstatement of the facts. The stakes are simply too high. (Gary Bauer; End-of-Day; 2-24-10)

The Good News Corner

Derek Prince: As the Church Goes, So Goes a Nation

[Note from the editor: Why is this "good news," you might be asking? Because, no matter what the problem that confronts us, the answer lies with us! The church. The Body of Christ.

We offer a short excerpt from this excellent article, written by Derek Prince. To read this document in its entirety, please go here to access the archives for Intercessors for America. Thank you.]
"What God will do in America de¬pends largely on what the church will do." (Derek Prince)

"Bend the church and bow the world." (Evan Roberts)

My theme is that in any nation where the church is established, God holds the church accountable for the condition of that nation. This is a sobering and far reaching thought.

Ultimately, what we want to do is reach and im¬pact America. If I had to reach America directly today, this gathering would be the wrong place for me because all or nearly all of you are commit¬ted believers. But, to effectively reach America, anyone concerned has to reach the church. It is through the church that God reaches and impacts a nation. God also judges the church in a nation partly by the condition of the nation for which he holds the church accountable.
So what is the church? The church, the Ecclesia is Christ's governing body on earth. We are responsible to heed His statutes, exercise "vice-regency," and administrate His government. You can see that this is a totally strange concept to the majority of churchgoers today. Yet, the Word of God is set¬tled, and therefore Christ holds us accountable for the way we do it, or do not do it.

What God will do in America de¬pends largely on what the church will do. Did you hear that? Should I say it again? What God will do in America depends largely on what the church will do.
I'll give you one familiar scripture which is the number one scripture for all intercessors, 2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people . . . I will heal their land. I've left out all of the middle, but what it means is that if God is to heal our land, His people will have to do something. If his people do not do it, He will not heal the land.

This is the bottom-line situation as I see it. I open and share this with you because if we want to change the nation, we have to start by praying for revival and changing the church.

In the Welsh revival, God used a man named Evan Roberts. He had a slogan, "Bend the church and bow the world." If the church will bend, the world will bow. If the church will not bend to the Lord, the world will not bow.

So in many ways, not in ev¬ery respect, the destiny of America is in the hands of the church, people like us. Do we realize our responsibility? It is a very solemn responsibility.

He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the full¬ness of Him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:22,23)

Worship With Us!

The Lord inhabits the praises of His people!!

It is written: But you are holy, O you that inhabit the praises of Israel. (Psalm 22:3)

Come worship wiith us now as, together, we enthrone our Might God, El Elyon, above the United States of America through our praise. Hallelujah!! He is LORD!

Here is the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples to pray, in song, singing . . . "Our Father, who art in Heaven . . . Hallowed be Thy Name . .."

Amen.

The Daily Brief - Tuesday, February 23, 2010

And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." (Isaiah 6:3)

Today's Daily Brief

1. Obama's 'New' Health Care Plan Would Use Tax Dollars to Pay for Abortions - CNS News

President Barack Obama unveiled his plan for health care reform on whitehouse.gov on Monday, but pro-life legislators and advocates said the "new" proposal mostly mirrors the Senate bill and, in particular, would allow for tax dollars to be used to fund health plans that cover abortion.

- The shedding of innocent blood brings a curse upon our land. Cry out for MERCY in the midst of JUDGMENT. Perhaps the LORD would yet turn the heart of this king from evil to good. May the scales fall off his eyes; and may Obama be set free to walk in truth -- not error -- all the days of his life on earth.

- And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized. (Acts 9:18)

2. CBO: Obama health 'plan' too vague to analyze - Washington Times

Obama said he would put out a full bill ahead of Thursday's highly touted bipartisan health summit, but what he released on Monday is so bare-bones that the Congressional Budget Office said there's not even enough detail to start working on a cost estimate.

- As this White House administration is in no way passing its test with the American public or the CBO, please pray that this huge mess will be torn up and that a true bipartisan effort will come forth at Thursday s summit. Intercede now, as we have been coerced, lied to, threatened, and misled quite enough over this hullabaloo approach to healthcare in our country.

- Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed. (Proverbs 15:22)

3. Democratic Jobs Bill Advances Despite GOP Filibuster - Fox News

A bipartisan jobs bill cleared a GOP filibuster on Monday with critical momentum provided by the Senate's newest Republican, Scott Brown of Massachusetts.

- Please pray as all the talks of men won't get us to the plans and decrees of the Lord. Ask the Lord to show up in the house and turn the tables over . . . Both parties are exhausted with the stealing and money funneling going on, and the American people have nothing to show for it.

- By Me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth. (Proverbs 8:16)

4. Bad economies in states to worsen: governors - Reuters

The already gloomy conditions of states' economies are set to worsen, according to preliminary survey findings from the National Governors Association released on Saturday.

- Please pray for more and more people to wake up to the Answer to these ever increasing financial challenges, locally and nationally. Intercede for the minds of men to be released to believe God, and prove Him, as opposed to "kicking the can" of debt further down the road of our future.

- That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, That I may fill their treasuries. (Proverbs 8:21)

5. Iran warning over 'Persian Gulf' - BBC

Iran has warned that airlines will be banned from flying into its airspace, unless they use the term "Persian Gulf" on their in-flight monitors.

- Please pray for a quick reply to any threats to air safety. Intercede that Iran will not be allowed to dictate to the world what it must say or do, and that we will not be pushed out of any airspace as the United States does not comply with threats from irritated madmen.

- Then they answered Joshua, "Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. (Joshua 1:16)

6. NEWS ALERT: Up To 6 Christians Killed In Iraq - ASSIST News

Up to six Christians have been killed in a new wave of anti-Christian violence rocking the northern city of Mosul and nearby areas, an advocacy group said.

- The blood of the martyr once again cries out from the ground of Iraq. And in that blood, there is victory for the advancement of the gospel of the Kingdom of God. Ask our Lord to comfort those who grieve today; and pray for supernatural protection for the saints on the land in Iraq. Thank God for these martyrs for Christ! Amen.

- And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Rev. 12:11)

7. Haiti Leader Says Quake Toll Could Reach 300,000 - ABC News

The president of Haiti said Sunday the death toll from his country's earthquake could reach 300,000 once all the bodies are recovered from wrecked buildings.

- As the numbers go up unimaginably, pray that the Lord's consolation will be with the families and friends of these victims. Ask that witnesses to the truth of the Gospel be released, and for Haiti to find itself under the protection of the Living God.

- Return to Me; And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, Then you shall not be moved. (Jer. 1:b NKJV)

Some 100 Palestinian protesters marched to the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Monday and clashed with Israel Defense Forces soldiers there, following the government's decision to include it on its list of protected Jewish holy sites.

2. Netanyahu: Immediate sanctions on Iran, even without UN approval - Ynet News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday reiterated the importance of placing immediate sanctions on Iran and said, "We are at a point where the international community needs to decide if it has serious intentions to stop the Iranian nuclear program."

3. Barak to U.S. to discuss Iran, peace talks with Palestinians - Ha'aretz

Defense Minister Ehud Barak leaves for the United States Tuesday to discuss Iran's nuclear program and the possible reviving of talks with the Palestinians. Barak decided to make the trip despite rising security tensions, especially on the northern border.

4. Goldstone Report back on UN agenda - Ynet News

5. Jerusalem city wall dates back to King Solomon - Jerusalem Post

Ancient stone fortifications that were recently uncovered outside the walls of Jerusalem's Old City date back some 3,000 years to the time of King Solomon and support the biblical narrative about the era, according to archeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar, who spoke to a group of reporters at the site on Monday.

Abortion Funding in Health Plan

"Been There, Shunned That"

Under the administration's "new" plan, this bill would be the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade--with a big chunk of the proposal tagged directly for groups like Planned Parenthood. Despite public opposition, President Obama reverted back to the Senate's language, which would force taxpayers to fund abortions even if their state opts-out of the coverage. Using a phony argument that the money would be segregated, the government would still draw from taxpayer pools to cover a procedure that Americans overwhelmingly reject. The President missed his opportunity to adopt the most popular piece of reform, Rep. Bart Stupak's (D-Mich.) outright ban on government-funded abortion.

To make matters worse, the White House is upping the ante on the Senate's abortion bailout, asking for $11 billion in "community health centers," which can easily be redirected to groups like Planned Parenthood. The President's package also includes Sen. Barbara Mikulski's (D-Md.) amendment, which would allow the administration to define abortions as "preventative health services" and force private insurers to cover them. As it's currently written, the $6 billion in grants for health co-ops doesn't include a single abortion restriction--nor does the Indian Health Services program. With the health care summit just days away, the onus is on Republicans. They can expose the President's credibility gap on abortion and kill the bill--or sit silent and risk the momentum that got them there. (Family Research Council)

Lawmakers Consider Repeal of "'Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

The top military brass will be questioned this week about the law that prevents homosexuals from serving openly as Congress considers the 2011 military budget. The hearings will be Tuesday and Wednesday. Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Head of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Mike Mullen have said they personally favor lifting the ban.

Elaine Donnelly, president with the Center for Military Readiness, said the law should remain. "The secretary of Defense is looking for ways to effectively suspend enforcement of the law," she said. "There is no excuse not to enforce this law, other than political considerations which are not a good enough reason." (CitizenLink)

The Daily Jot

The Science of Fraud and its Culture of Death and Tyranny

Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:4,Take heed that no man deceive you. Yet, Americans have been living in deception for generations. Think about it. The public school system has been teaching evolution since the 1960s. If evolution, in its most sincere sense were true, why are we not seeing apes turning into men these days? People become so angry over the mere question raised that they may not have come from apes. The movement is so intense that even Christians are trying to justify evolution while still maintaining some form of the Creation account in the Bible. Bottom line: evolution is just one of the avenues to humanism--it is "science" unproven, but taught as fact.

Global warming is now a discredited "science." The so-called scientists at Britain's University of East Anglia's Climate Research Union have admitted that they falsified data. The head of the unit has resigned in disgrace and said he thought about committing suicide. The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has been proven a fraud. Al Gore, the international spokesman on global warming, who, by the way, made millions proselytizing the global warming fraud, is no longer found in public. News reporters who were duped by these humanist socialists are now calling for someone to go to jail for conspiring in international fraud. The world was accepting global warming "science" as fact.

Or how about the idea that a "fetus" is a gathering of cells, but not a human life? This so-called science has led to the deaths of over 40 million American pre-born babies. There is no doubt in real "science" these days that a pre-born baby is a legitimate human being living inside its mother's womb. 4-D ultrasounds prove that a pre-born baby is human by giving undeniable visual confirmation of a pre-born baby's human features--lips, face, eyes, hands, feet--even down to emotional and sensory reactions to the environment within the womb. Yet pre-born "science" accepts the "fetus as tissue" definition as fact.

The scientific community has done wonders over the centuries. But there is great deception when humanist politics co-opts science to undermine the precepts of God. When scientists, who are predisposed to proving God wrong, turn away from their science to support political agendas, their true craft becomes the science of fraud. Then instead of saving lives and providing more freedom to mankind, they become instruments of death and tyranny. If you do not want to be deceived, read what the Bible says about these issues. The wise king Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 1:9, "There is no new thing under the sun." The more science tries to prove the Bible wrong, the more the Bible is proven true.

D.C. Stand4Marriage Rally Tomorrow at the Capitol

URGENT MESSAGE!!

Dear Pastors, Civic Leaders and Friends:

Greetings from Washington, DC!

As you already know, the Washington DC City Council has recently passed the " Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Equality Amendment Act of 2009. We have only a few days left to derail the bill - only Congress or our legal team can stop this wrong headed legislation from going into law.

You and I must fight back!

We are at a critical moment in the battle for marriage in our Nation's Capital. We only have a few days left to stop the madness! We have urged Congress to weigh in and stop this legislation. Their response has been good and two pieces of legislation have been introduced.

We must demonstrate an incredible show of force, strength, and influence. Will you please join us:

When: Wednesday, February 24, 2010
Time: 11:00am
What: Press Event/Rally
Where: U.S. Capitol Visitor Center - Room HC-8

We will urge Senators and Representatives to support and co-sponsor Senate Bill 2980 and HR-4430, respectively - to give DC residents the right to vote on this issue.

In order to be admitted to the rally, we need you to RSVP as soon as possible by calling Dee Powell or Tolu Adeniji at 240/845-0388

Time is of the essence and we need your help!

The proposed same-sex marriage bill poses an existential threat to our religious liberties and violates the spirit of the 1965 voting rights act. DC citizens have been denied the right to vote, despite the fact that the citizens want to have their say.

Folks on both sides of the issue agree that the citizens deserve the right to vote. Changing the definition of marriage has incredible long term consequences for their children and their families for generations. The matter demands a referendum---the right to be voted on.

We must stop this DC law now ! As you can imagine, this outrageous law will not be the end of the council's abuses of the City. In the future, we will see the political leaders of DC shifting any number of additional policies in the wrong direction. They want to re-create DC into an East Coast San Francisco or worse.

Importantly, the consequences of this law are not just local. From a national perspective, this law marks the beginning of an assault on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) which has allowed 31 states to vote to protect the definition of marriage. Radical gay marriage activists want to silence the voices of all those people as well - by lobbying elite legislators and pulling high powered legal maneuvers.

Because of our recent momentum, our advisors have requested a final press event and rally. To really make an impact we need representatives from around the nation.

Please contact just one friend and bring them along with you.

For the cause of Christ and Liberty; join us Wednesday, February 24, 2010 11:00 am on Capitol Hill!

Together we can make a difference!

Sincerely,
Bishop Harry Jackson
