"At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation
I helped you."
(2 Corinthians 6:2)

The Daily Brief

1. Obama White House told GSA to 'stand-down' on Occupy protesters - Washington Examiner

Documents obtained by Judicial Watch confirm that somebody in the White House told officials with the General Services Administration (GSA) to "stand down" and not arrest Occupy Portland protestors who may have broken the law last year. Former GSA Public Buildings Service Commissioner Robert Peck told a senior Department of Homeland Security official that the federal housekeeping agency had been instructed by the Obama White House to go easy on the Occupy protestors.

The Obama White House denied on multiple occasions during the Occupy protests last year that anybody in the Obama administration had given aid or encouragement to the demonstrations, many of which erupted into public and private property destruction, arrests for drug dealing and prostitution and public health violations.

"We now have a new GSA scandal - one that involves the Obama White House," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "These documents clearly show that federal agencies colluded with the Obama White House to allow the Occupy Wall Street protestors to violate the law with impunity. These documents tell us that the GSA and DHS can't be relied upon to protect federal workers or property."

- Lord, we pray that the preferential breaking of the law by the White House on behalf of the Occupy movement will be fully prosecuted in plain truth before this nation. Open the eyes of the citizens of America to see the truth and desire Your precepts, in Jesus Name we pray!

- " He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord. " (Proverbs 17: 15) " So Jesus answered and said to [America], "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind - said to Him, "Rabboni, that [we] may receive [our] sight!" (Mark 10:51)

2. Missouri votes to fortify public prayer with amendment that critics call unnecessary - Fox News

Missouri voters approved an amendment to the state constitution Tuesday that proponents say will help ensure the right to pray in public.

The amendment was on a statewide ballot and had widespread support, though critics said the right to pray is already protected under the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. State GOP Rep. Mike McGhee and other supporters agreed, but they said Amendment 2 is really an effort to make the state constitution match the U.S. Constitution and protect Christianity, which they said is under attack.

McGhee, whose legislation led to the amendment proposal, told FoxNews.com about an incident in which a teacher told a kindergartner singing "Jesus Loves Me" while swinging on the playground to instead sing "mommy loves me."

Another part of the amendment sparking controversy is a section that reads "no student shall be compelled to perform or participate in academic assignments or educational presentations that violate his or her religious beliefs." McGhee confirmed the section is rooted in a 2006 case, in which a Christian student at Missouri State University was asked as part of a class project to write and sign a letter to the Missouri legislature in support of gay adoption.

- Dear Lord, we pray for the lasting success of this amendment. May its passage precipitate a powerful and widespread influence across the U.S.! In this day when even our Christian military Chaplains are forbidden to pray in the Name of Jesus, we wonder how anyone can not see the repeated attacks against Christians in America. Lord, give Your people favor, and great wisdom for victory as we stand as a light in the darkness through the power of Jesus Christ our Lord.

- " He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints." (Proverbs 2: 8,9)

3. Senator accuses Obama administration of giving safe harbor to some criminal illegals- Fox News

President Obama's new immigration plan will provide safe harbor to criminal illegal immigrants and will lead to a "capitulation to lawlessness" that could threaten public safety, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said.

FoxNews has obtained an internal document detailing how the Department of Homeland Security plans to implement what critics say amounts to an amnesty policy for what could be more than one million illegal immigrants. According to the documents, illegal immigrants convicted of felonies or misdemeanors under "state immigration laws" may be granted deferred action. Those who have repeatedly entered the United States illegally will also be eligible. And traffic violations would not be considered a misdemeanor. Sessions told Fox News that according to his understanding of the implementation documents, illegal immigrants who are using stolen or fraudulent Social Security numbers in order to gain employment will not be charged with a crime.

"It is a direct threat to the rule of law and to the demonstrated desire of the American people for a lawful system of immigration," Sessions said. "I believe this administration has utilized this policy to basically undermine and negate the ability of the law officers to do what they have been hired and paid to do.

- Dear Lord, Your Word tells us it is only because of a nation's iniquity that foreigners can invade a country - as America has been invaded by millions of people entering illegally. (Deuteronomy 28:43,52) So we come before You Lord, in deep repentance for the sins of our nation. We ask You for mercy and protection, for us and our families, from enemies without and within. Give us law abiding leadership that respects and protects this country. In Jesus' Name.

- " Our precious land has been given to outsiders, our homes to strangers." (Lamentations 5:2) (The Message)

4. Slow path to progress for U.S. immigrants - Washington Times

Immigrants lag behind native-born Americans on most measures of economic well-being -- even those who have been in the U.S. the longest, according to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies, which argues that full assimilation is a more complex task than overcoming language or cultural differences.

The study, based on 2010 and 2011 census data, found that 43 percent of immigrants who have been in the U.S. at least 20 years were using welfare benefits, a rate that is nearly twice as high as native-born Americans and nearly 50 percent higher than recent immigrants.

The report was released at a time when both major presidential candidates have backed policies that would make it easier to immigrate legally and would boost the numbers of people coming to the U.S.

- Lord, we pray for those who enter the United States legally. We ask that they be saved through the blood of Jesus in unprecedented numbers, and having found Christ, may prosper and be a blessing to America in all righteousness. We also ask You to direct the steps taken by lawmakers, so they will promote safe and healthy immigration practices for the good of this nation and its families. In Jesus' Name.

- "The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. " (Deuteronomy 28:9,10)

Yoke of bondage: A prophetic warning for America

Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." Throughout the Bible, we see examples of where unrighteous rulers brought devastation upon their people. We see that YHVH uses nations to judge Israel, and in their harshness and wickedness against Israel, YHVH then allows for the destruction of those nations. It is in these examples where the citizens of America must take great pause and repent because the vast majority of its leaders, irrespective of political party, behave unrighteously. These leaders also are enabling the enemies of Jerusalem to organize and unite under faux-democracy. It may be the perfect storm for America.

Galatians 4 speaks of how Christians are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. This is specifically dealing with those who follow the Messiah are not heirs of Ishmael, but are children of the promise--which is found in the line of Isaac, son of the "freewoman." Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith the Messiah has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." Aside from the outright depravity permeating our American society, which is no small thing, America's leaders are taking our country--physically and spiritually--toward Ishmael, who is the father of Islam. Our leaders have rushed headlong into alliance with the most antichrist system known to the world.

Our tax money, to the tune of billions, has supported the establishment of Islam. So-called "democracies" are being set-up with Sharia Law constitutions using the financial and political assistance of the United States. In every case, from deposing the Shah of Iran to the Palestinian Authority to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia, Turkey, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Yeman, and now Syria, your leaders and your money has been and is being used to institutionalize the very same nations named as coming against Jerusalem in the Day of the Lord. Zechariah 12:3 says, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces"

America's sinful nature combined with its leaders insistence of becoming "entangled" with the yoke of bondage through materially supporting the antichrist system of the bondwoman--Islam--can only result in destruction. Already, our economy is weak, our people are out of work, folks are losing their homes, families are broken, and the government is encroaching on every freedom. Judgment is upon America, brooding over her as a dark devouring cloud. How harsh it is with wicked leaders. How much more will it be because Americans, whose majority call themselves Christians, have been given the YHVH ordained right to choose their leaders? There is a fine line between freedom and bondage, and America is treading the micro-pixels of it.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

On the Campaign Trail

Iran's Ahmadinejad Endorsed Obama?

From Rush Limbaugh

Now the reporters are harassing Romney. They're trying to create gaffes. They're working on behalf of Barack Obama. They are attempting to carry forth the meme that Romney's foreign trip is a disaster, that it's one gaffe after another. They're trying to do this in the mainstream. And the fact of the matter is Romney is having a home run of a trip. He is having a grand slam. He is doing such a good job that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad actually came out, and for all intents and purposes, endorsed Obama yesterday. Romney's over in Israel and he makes an obvious truthful statement. He's been doing that a lot on this trip. Talked about the Palestinians versus the Israelis. Palestinian economy, Israeli economy. (paraphrasing) "Well, there's a cultural difference here. There's a clear reason why the Israeli economy is vastly superior. It's cultural."

All h- - - broke loose. A spokesman for the Palestinians: "That's racism. That is out and out racism." Mahmoud Ahmadinejad joins in, criticizing Romney. Didn't mention his name, but there was nobody else he could have been talking about. So effectively, the grand pooh-bah of Iran, working with the permission of the mullahs, has come out against Obama's opponent, Mitt Romney. So effectively a Barack Obama endorsement, which is nothing new. This all happened during 2008, all these foreign dictators supporting Obama, ripping into McCain and so forth. I mean, you couldn't tell the difference. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would criticize America. You listened to a Democrat criticize America. It sounded the same, word-for-word. . . Forecast for Lame Duck Session of Congress

Lame Session Set for Highest Workload

For once, the smell of pork on Capitol Hill had nothing to do with earmarks. Yesterday, before the August recess, Senate Democrats and Republicans celebrated one thing they do agree on: barbeque. Over slabs of ribs and brisket, the leaders managed to make nice before heading home to their states. Let's hope they got their fill, because lame duck seems to be the only thing on the menu later on.

Thanks to a quicker-than-usual agreement over the next budget resolution, both chambers are staring down a hectic November and December. On Tuesday, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that they'd struck a deal for funding the government after September 30. Like the other continuing resolutions, this one is another short-term fix that only keeps the agencies running for six months. And although conservatives wanted to clear the decks of a messy budget fight, it also clears the calendar for more votes after the election, when neither party is accountable.

Democrats have like the idea of kicking explosive issues into the winter months to keep tough votes from hurting their election chances. But that also sets the table for a busy end of year. And if past sessions are any indication (see: Don't Ask, Don't Tell and START Treaty), conservatives will be scrambling to block an onslaught of bad bills dealing with: Law of the Sea Treaty, U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, a national Internet sales tax, the end of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, higher death tax, online gambling, Defense cuts, the debt ceiling, and more. So while Republicans managed to take the threat of a government shutdown off the table, the deal has a definite downside. "It makes the final fight [over tax and spending cuts] in the post-election, lame-duck session a purer test of wills over whether either party can actually stomach tax increases and/or deep defense cuts in order to make their broader ideological points about the nation's fiscal policy," Roll Call writes.

Although the House did vote on Wednesday to extend the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts for everyone, it was a largely symbolic vote. The real test will come after the elections, when leaders from both chambers will have to duke it out over competing plans before the "taxmaggedon" January 1. Under Sen. Reid's plan, which passed the Senate last month, only Americans earning $250,000 or less qualify for the cuts. Others, like small business owners, would face the biggest tax hike in history.

Meanwhile, not everyone was anxious to leave D.C. as the Senate. In the House, members actually protested the summer recess by voting to stay in session. It was an unusual alliance between the liberal Democrats and most conservative Republicans, who both had different reasons for fighting adjournment. Rep. Nancy Pelosi's party wanted to leave the GOP leadership with a parting slap for not doing enough work, while our friends like Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), and Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) don't trust President Obama to honor his agreement on recess appointments. (And who can blame them?) Both sides will have to deal with the disappointment, though, because the House ultimately voted to leave. And considering the tough road ahead, they'll need all the rest they can get. Chinese Rubbish Collector Saves 30 Babies!

The truly inspiring story of the Chinese rubbish collector who saved and raised THIRTY babies abandoned at the roadside

A woman has been hailed a hero after details of her astonishing work with abandoned children has emerged.

Lou Xiaoying, now 88 and suffering from kidney failure, found and raised more than 30 abandoned Chinese babies from the streets of Jinhua, in the eastern Zhejiang province where she managed to make a living by recycling rubbish.

She and her late husband Li Zin, who died 17 years ago, kept four of the children and passed the others onto friends and family to start new lives.

Her youngest son Zhang Qilin - now aged just seven - was found in a dustbin by Lou when she was 82.

'Even though I was already getting old I could not simply ignore the baby and leave him to die in the trash. He looked so sweet and so needy. I had to take him home with me,' she said. 'I took him back to our home, which is a very small modest house in the countryside and nursed him to health. He is now a thriving little boy, who is happy and healthy.

'My older children all help look after Zhang Qilin, he is very special to all of us. I named him after the Chinese word for rare and precious.

'The whole thing started when I found the first baby, a little girl back in 1972 when I was out collecting rubbish. She was just lying amongst the junk on the street, abandoned. She would have died had we not rescued her and taken her in.

'Watching her grow and become stronger gave us such happiness and I realised I had a real love of caring for children. 'I realized if we had strength enough to collect garbage how could we not recycle something as important as human lives,' she explained.

'These children need love and care. They are all precious human lives. I do not understand how people can leave such a vulnerable baby on the streets.

Lou, who has one biological daughter, Zhang Caiying and now aged 49, devoted her life to looking after the abandoned babies.

Word of her kind-hearted gestures has now spread in China, where thousands of babies are abandoned on the streets by their poverty stricken parents. One fan explained: 'She is shaming to governments, schools and people who stand by and do nothing. She has no money or power but she saved children from death or worse.'

'In the local community she is well known and well respected for her work with the abandoned babies. She does her best. She is a local hero. But unfortunately there are far too many abandoned babies in China who have no hope of survival.

Only last week there was news of a baby lucky to be alive after having its throat cut and then put in a plastic bag and thrown in a dustbin at Anshan city, in northeast China's Liaoning province.

The baby - a girl - was thought to be a victim of the country's one child policy where parents restricted to only having a single child prefer boys and girls are unwanted and often discarded.

Infanticide of 'guilt children' is still a problem in rural areas but it is rare in cities, where children are usually abandoned but not killed.

The baby's fate has horrified China. The tot was spotted when a passerby went to throw some rubbish in the bin the and saw what he thought was a dead baby in the bag.

He told police that the child was purple and had not moved until he examined the bag more closely.

A resident who witnessed the girl being taken to hospital said: 'She was still breathing and had a heartbeat. Blood from the wound stained the whole body.' Doctors said that if the baby had been left in the bag a few minutes longer she would have died of suffocation and it had already been affected by the lack of oxygen hence the purple colour.

They said that the baby had been born premature and was probably between 32 and 34 weeks old and weighing just 1.4 kg.

A medic said that if the cut had been just a millimetre deep in the baby would have died. (Daily Mail UK) To read more and to see photos of Lou Xiaoying, go here
