The Daily Brief

1. Russia vows to switch to other currencies over US sanctions threat - Glazyev - Voice of Russia

Russia can dodge any proposed US sanctions by switching to other currencies and creating its own payment system, Putin's economic advisor Sergei Glazyev said Tuesday.

- Lord, we are appalled at such pride, arrogance, and defiance displayed in these statements by Sergei Glazyev. May their threats of defaulting on U.S. bank loans, and profiting from the sanctions imposed on them, come to nothing. May all their plans fail, and may they find themselves isolated in the world. May they discover their dependence on You, and on others in the world. In Jesus Name.

- Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

2. Experts say sanctions will have little influence on Vladimir Putin - Washington Examiner

The White House on Monday trumpeted sanctions against senior Kremlin officials as the most extensive economic punishment imposed on Russia since the Cold War.

- Father, restore our reputation worldwide. Give us strong leadership to respond aggressively when necessary. When we don't make a strong stand, we look weak across the globe. Guide our leadership in this situation.

- I shall hear a word behind me, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever I turn to the right or the left. (Isaiah 30:21)

3. Report: Iran Killing More People than Ever - Washington Free Beacon

Iran is executing people in record-breaking numbers not seen for more than 15 years in the Islamic nation, with nearly 200 individuals having been executed in the first few months of this year alone, according to human rights activists.

- Father, we intercede over this situation, and pray protection over the citizens of Iran. We pray that other countries will speak out over the abuse of these executions, and appropriate action taken to stop the abuse. In Jesus Name.

- The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. (Psalms 11:5)

4. Bible controversy hits Air Force base - Fox News

For more than a decade new military recruits at Maxwell Air Force Base -- Gunter Annex in Alabama have received a Bible from Gideons International volunteers. But that tradition has come to an end after volunteers said they were told by the military that they would no longer be allowed to personally distribute the pocket-sized Bibles to recruits.

- Lord, forgive this action by the military to not allow distribution of Bibles to recruits. You warned us in Your Word that in the last days people will call evil good, and good evil. We do ask for a reversal of this decision. In Jesus Name.

- "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20)

3. Kerry pushes Abbas to make 'tough decisions' in talks - Times of Israel

Top US diplomat John Kerry urged Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday to work hard to narrow huge differences with the Israelis at a "pivotal" time for peace talks.

4. Obama to Abbas: Palestinians must take risks for peace - Times of Israel

US President Barack Obama on Monday told Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that he would have to make tough political decisions and take "risks" for peace, as would Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Abbas, for his part, reiterated his rejection of Israel's demand that its status as a Jewish state be enshrined in a future peace accord, asserting that previous Palestinian recognition of Israel was sufficient.

The Daily Jot (Part One)

Inept, deliberate or prophetic?

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

So many people write me each day expressing their views on the condition of our nation. There are many different viewpoints. Some say that we cannot be concerned about America because we are Christians and we belong to a higher kingdom. Others say that the nation is the daughter of Babylon and we are getting what is prophesied. Still others believe the nation is under judgment because of our collective actions against God--abortion, homosexuality, idolatry. Many believe that our nation is doomed because of the bankers and New World Order conspiracy. Others ask, "What can I do? I am just one person." Many demand, "What would you have us do?"

First, I would suggest intensive Bible study, in its context, about nations, kingdoms, prophecies concerning Babylon, and judgment. Don't stand on what others have taught or your belief shaped by them. Study it for yourself. This will bring extraordinary clarity to these suppositions. Second, there must be a firm belief that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible word of God. Teachers, preachers and modern day prophets, while many are well intended, are fallible and errant. Remember the Lord says in Isaiah 55:11, "So shall the word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing wherewith I sent it." Study it yourself.

Discernment in these times is key. Does a person's actions line up with his words? Further do they align with the word of God? When you see what is going on around you, ask yourself "how does that relate to the word of God?" Is America's leadership inept? Deliberate? Prophetic? Time will tell, but one thing for certain: most every action of this "president" has resulted in bad things for you, it is exposed as against the word of God, AND a lot of it has moved the prophecy clock forward. Remember, just because it moves prophecy forward, it doesn't necessarily mean good things--look at the judgments against nations in the Bible for their part in carrying out the prophecies of the Lord against Jerusalem.
This does not excuse a national people from their apathy and weariness in doing God's work, or from selecting Exodus 18:21 leaders "able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness." Yes, you are just one person. Just as one person can change a nation for worse, as we have seen with the occupant of the Oval Office, one person can change it for the good. Edmund Burke is credited with saying, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Further, the Lord said in Ezekiel 22:30, "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it:" The Lord is looking for YOU. Don't let the second part of the verse come about: "But I found none." Let us not be an inept people, but deliberate and prophetic.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

House Stenographer Releases a Video

House Stenographer, Dianne Reidy, Has Put out a Video

Was Dragged Off the House Floor During the "Shutdown Vote"
on October 15, 2013

Please note: this report includes only excerpts of the remarks of Dianne and Dan Reidy. The actual video is almost 40 minutes long.

To view her video, please go here.

This is a conversation between Dan and Dianne Reidy about the prophecy God had Dianne deliver on the floor of the House of Representatives on October 17, 2013.

The couple plays the video of her speaking, both on the House floor and in the hall as she is taken onto the elevator, and they note that the audio for what she said IN THE HALL was SUPERIMPOSED over what she actually said on the House floor, so that the original speech has been lost.

She herself has no memory of what she said when she first went up to the microphone on the House floor beyond "God will not be mocked" and "A house divided will not stand."

The husband then discusses that he and his wife are Bible believers, and discusses the gifts of prophecy by the Holy Spirit as discussed in the New Testament. Mentions that God brings a Word of correction BEFORE He brings a Word of punishment, and that God was using Diane to bring a word of correction to our country prior to sending His judgment.

2 Peter 1:20-21--husband quotes and says Diane was being "carried along" by God's Holy Spirit as she spoke that night, and that it did not come "from" her.

Discusses different types of Prophecy--"fore"telling and "forth"telling. Forthtelling to bring encouragement, edification, correction, rebuke---and categorizes what Diane shared as being in the second category. . .

They close with invitation to address any questions to them and they'll be "more than happy to answer them".
They note that etched in marble above the speaker's podium where she stood are the words, "In God We Trust." Husband notes: (quote) "What does that really mean? We have a government now that has crossed moral bounds, there's corruption . . . it's obviously not the leading of God, for God is for 'we the people', and not what is taking place in DC . . . I think the whole system is just so broken . . . God spoke this to the leadership of our county . . . the moral decline of our country starts at the top...the buck stops here . . . the laws of our country are moral laws . . . everything is in such a decline . . . God is a righteous, just, and loving Father and He will bring judgment, and this is a precursor of what we could see as a result.
Ever since this took place, there has been such a burden on my (husband's) heart to share something; ...not saying 'thus says the Lord' or any such thing, but I do want to say I feel heavily in my heart that this is from God, and I would direct this at our 3 branches of government, which is the executive, the legislative, and the judicial, and it concerns the 'In God We Trust' which is written on all of our courthouses and all of our buildings, and I believe God would say to you individuals who are leading our nation:
Either personally live by My laws, and legislate by My laws, or scratch My Name form your assembly halls.
In other words, don't mock God by saying that we believe in Him and we trust in Him, and sing 'God bless America', and then we just go in the opposite direction concerning how we live as a nation; I believe there is a groundswell of Christians in our nation...who voice the similar thing about the decline in our nation just in short lifetimes and say enough is enough, we need to take our country back as one nation under God. Not believing in God is a belief system as well, and that has been jammed down our throats long enough. I believe the heart of God is for out nation, the love of God is for our people--all people---all are sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God."
They end by putting up their email address so you can contact them, and share an interest in helping people learn more about their Father and their God. He ends by expressing pride in his wife for her courage in following God's leading in speaking to this groups, and her obedience to God at the cost of her "most wonderful job in the world", and compares it to being like her own "Gethsemane" experience. Says he and his wife are in God's hands and that's the best place to be. Praying God's blessings and the peace and joy of the Holy Spirit will be in listener's hearts.

The Daily Jot (Part Two)

Christian persecution, The Daily Jot, and you

Published on Monday, March 18, 2014

I have passed through Kano, Nigeria on many trips to Ghana, West Africa where there is an extension of The Daily Jot ministry headed by my friend of 22 years and brother in the Lord, William Agbeti. Kano is a remote village with a small jet port used for refueling air traffic from Europe. It also has a small Christian school and some surrounding villages. It is the focus of Islamic terrorists whose sport is to slaughter Christians. Just last Friday night, AP and FOX News report that Fulani Muslim herders attacked three Christian villages, killing over 100 men, women and children and raising the villages. This is becoming a normality rather than an exception in West Africa, and very few care about it.

When you support The Daily Jot ministry a small portion goes to the reporting and analyzing of the news from a Biblical worldview. A significant portion supports feeding and clothing the poor, and assisting pastors in establishing the light of Christ as an alternative to Islam in the rural areas of West Africa. This is very dangerous business. I have preached in some of these remote areas and the Islamists do everything they can to disrupt and harass--even during our services. In our absence, they use bribery and political leverage to steal our pastors' flock. Our pastors are threatened. They are pressured. And this is in addition to the challenges just to stay alive every day.

. . . Rarely do I ask for funding because I believe you should hear from the Lord on how to support Christian ministries. So far this year, our funding has been the lowest in many years. Times are difficult and I understand the condition of our nation--I write about it every day. The news of the Fulani in Nigeria gives me a sense of urgency about our Ghana ministry and we need your help. You may not be able to go there with me, but you might be able to support The Daily Jot so we can continue making a difference in people's lives, spreading the gospel and standing firm for the Lord in hostile Islamic areas. I feel compelled to write. There are many needs and very limited resources.
We are not a large ministry with offices and people working and running here and there. It is only myself and my wife working out of our small office in our home. We keep our overhead low so that the ministry can benefit. If the Lord lays it on your heart, please consider supporting The Daily Jot. You can do so by going here to make a secure online donation, or send one by mail to: The Daily Jot, 5257 Buckeystown Pike, #314, Frederick, Md. 21704. Thank you in advance for your heartfelt support.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

The March of Remembrance

The March of Remembrance

Saying "NEVER AGAIN" to the Holocaust!

The "March of Remembrance" will be held on APRIL 27, 2014 in cities everywhere across America in unison with "March of Life" in Austria & Hungary!

The March of Remembrance is a connecting point for people everywhere who wish to pray together and remember the Holocaust with a Memorial observance annually. We are organized as a Christian prayer walk held on Yom HaShoah (Day of Holocaust Remembrance) and seek to honor all who suffered in that time by breaking the silent indifference of our own time.

Our main purpose is to give a public platform for Shoah survivors and their descendants to give testimony while they are yet with us. We are closely related to the March of Life movement which has mobilized hundreds of Christian churches in cities of Germany, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, & Poland, going across Austria and Hungary in 2014.

Would you like to hold a March of Remembrance in your area? Talk with National Organizer Steve Wearp (info@marchofremembrance.org) and get started on the campaign today!

To learn more about the March of Remembrance, go here.
Please note:

This website includes a LONG list of cities that are already organizing these marches for April 27th. We encourage all of our readers to prayerfully consider participating in and/or organizing a march in your own city and state. Thank you!

UKRAINIAN JEWS IN CRISIS

UKRAINIAN JEWS IN CRISIS

An Urgent Notice from Bridges for Peace

As war looms between Russia and Ukraine, Jewish people are targeted. They are chased through the streets. "Death to Jews," said graffiti seen on a Jewish home. Anti-Semitic slogans and graffiti are everywhere. Violent attacks with stabbings and beatings have increased to the point where the Jewish people are afraid to leave their homes.

Jeremiah 16 says that the time of the fishers will be followed by the hunters. Our Christian workers feel a sense of urgency in their spirits. Now is the time for Jewish people to come home to Israel. Many of the Jewish people agree! Our Project Rescue office in Kiev is inundated with requests for help as the Jewish people want to escape anti-Semitism and come home to Israel. Please help today with a generous donation.

Georgia Lawmakers Approve Bill to Place Ten Commandments Monument
at State Capitol

"Knowing that we put 'In God We Trust' on our money, and we are a Judeo-Christian nation, and we are proud of those beliefs, wouldn't you further agree that if a private party wants to put a statue with private funds to honor God and His commandments that we as a legislature should support that?" -Senator John Albers

Atlanta, GA)-Georgia lawmakers have approved a bill to place a monument portraying the Ten Commandments at the state capitol. Governor Nathan Deal, a Baptist, is expected to sign it.
Senator John Albers told radio station WABE, "There will be no taxpayer funds that go with this. This will be raised by private parties. I believe this would be an excellent addition to our Capitol grounds."

"Knowing that we put 'In God We Trust' on our money," he added, "and we are a Judeo-Christian nation, and we are proud of those beliefs, wouldn't you further agree that if a private party wants to put a statue with private funds to honor God and His commandments that we as a legislature should support that?" Dubai's Burj Khalifa being "eaten by a storm"

Burj Khalifa, known as Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is the tallest man-made structure in the world, at 829.8 meters.

Yesterday, footage was taken of Dubai's Burj Khalifa being eaten by a storm.

That video can be found here.

(Note: This video is hard to see, but this news has also been reported in the press.)

"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
