1. Kerry Tells VOA He Hopes for No Russian Tension Spillover - VOA

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told VOA that the United States is prepared to impose additional sanctions on Russia for its annexation of Ukraine's Crimean peninsula. In an exclusive interview with VOA's Persian service, Kerry said Russia's actions run the risk of destabilizing Ukraine. "I don't think it's in anybody's interests to have this," he said. "First of all, it's in nobody's interests to have Ukraine made more dangerous by Russia moving troops in." As Russia consolidates its power over the Crimean region of Ukraine, President Barack Obama is heading to Europe for talks with allies in a bid to pressure Moscow. That Russia has succeeded in taking over Crimea appears for some to be a foregone conclusion, but Obama is not giving up efforts to end the crisis through sanctions and diplomacy.
- O Lord of the nations, we come to You on behalf of little Crimea, and the rest of Ukraine. We know that You are touched by our infirmities and hurts, and that You are the God of all comfort. We pray that You would be an "ever present help in trouble" to all the Ukrainians, especially the children. We ask for Your peace to be in their hearts, and in their circumstances. We ask You to push back the enemy,and give wisdom to the Ukrainian government leaders in their efforts to stem the tide of evil, we pray. Show Yourself strong on behalf of Your people. We ask You to protect the Jews in Ukraine, and bring them back safely to their homeland of Israel. In Jesus' name, Amen.

- "Remember the Covenant You made with us, because violence fills every dark corner of this land. Do not let Your suffering people be disgraced. Let the poor and helpless praise You. God, arise and defend Yourself. Remember the insults that come from those foolish people all day long. Don't forget what your enemies said; don't forget their roar as they rise against you always." 2. US, NATO Warn Russia Faces 'High Costs' Over Crimea - VOA

Russia is refusing to back down in the face of U.S. and European sanctions imposed over Moscow's annexation of Crimea. Russia's latest actions have touched off a new round of worry for Russia's Western-leaning neighbors and more warnings from Washington. As Ukrainian naval forces looked on, Russia moved in pro-Russian militias. They stormed the gates of Ukraine's naval headquarters and put new security in place.
- Lord, when the enemy rushes in, we ask You to raise up a standard against him. Defend the downtrodden, and those made homeless by this travesty of justice, this trampling of their rights and their sovereignty. We pray that You will use this whole scenario to encourage the people to put their trust in You and call out for Your salvation and deliverance. Even the rage of nations will praise You, in that You will take care of Your own, and spread Your wings over them. In Your Name, amen.

- "The armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and pure, were following Him on white horses. And out of His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down nations--'He will rule them with a staff or iron'. It is He who treads the winepress from which flows the wine of the furious rage of ADONAI, God of Heaven's armies. 3. S Korea, Japan leaders to meet at talks - BBC

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will meet South Korean President Park Geun-hye for the first time at a trilateral meeting with the US next week. The talks come amid severe tensions over history issues and territorial disputes between the two neighbors. The meeting will take place on the sidelines of a nuclear security conference in The Hague.
- Lord, we ask that as these leaders come together with our President, that there would be a spirit of co-operation between them, and that they are able to resolve their differences amicably. We ask that our President would actually be a catalyst for peace between these two nations as they discuss their territorial differences and historical issues. We ask for calmness and productive discussions to take place, and we bind up any spirits of confusion, or divisiveness, and ask for Your shalom. In Jesus' name, amen.

- "Where jealousy and selfishness are, there will be confusion and every kind of evil. But the wisdom that comes from God is first of all pure, then peaceful, gentle and easy to please. This wisdom is always ready to help those who are troubled and to do good for others. It is always fair and honest." (James 3:16,17)

4. US Suspends Syrian Embassy Operations - VOA

The United States has told the Syrian government to immediately suspend operations at its embassy in Washington and two honorary consulates. White House spokesman Jay Carney said Tuesday that Syrian diplomats who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents must leave the country.
- Abba, we thank You for this decision by our government to cut off relations with Syria, as they are continuing to torture and repress their own people, and hold contempt against us and Israel. We ask that only good will come as a result of this decision. We ask that You continue to protect Israel from this very violent, oppressive neighbor and that You will show Syria that there is a God in Israel, Who protects and defends His people and keeps His covenant with them. May they come to fear You alone, as You deal with the nations. Amen.

- "And he said, O Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping Covenant and showing mercy and loving-kindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart." (I Kings 8:23)

5. Once Again, Search Planes Looking for Malaysia Jet Find Nothing - Business Insider

Search planes sent to find objects in the south Indian Ocean that may be from the missing Malaysia Airlines jet began returning without success Friday, and an Australian official said the hunt would be extended again for another day.
- Father, we thank You that You know the fate of that airplane, and all the passengers and crew, and You know where it is. We thank You that all things are exposed to You and not even a sparrow falls to the ground without Your notice, much less a plane. We ask that You expose the nefarious scheme that was planned and executed by man, and that Your light would expose every dark corner of their deeds, and who the perpetrators are. We ask for comfort for the families of those people who were on that flight, and, if any of those passengers and crew are still alive, we pray for their safe return soon. We thank You for Your compassion for these who are innocent. In Your Name, Amen.

6. President Obama just gave himself the Authority to seize your assets. - Freedom Outpost

According to the president's recent Executive Order, "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Contributing to the Situation in Ukraine" (first reported by WND's Aaron Klein), the provisions for seizure of property extend to "any United States person." That means "any United States citizen, permanent resident alien, entity organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States (including foreign branches), or any person in the United States." - Father, we ask You again, to "rein in" this President, so that he cannot continue to side-step Congress and give himself dictatorial power. We bind up spirits of fear and intimidation from those who should hold him accountable to the Constitution and the people. We ask for courage for those who need to step forward and challenge this dictatorship. Have mercy on us, O Lord, we pray in Your name, Amen.

- "Obey these laws carefully, in order to show the other nations that you have wisdom and understanding. No other nation is as great as we are. Their gods do not come near them, but the Lord our God comes near when we pray to Him." (Deuteronomy 4:5,7)

7. Common Core Arose From the Moscow Declaration - Independent Sentinel

By adopting Common Core, the United States has adopted and is implementing UNESCO's global education. It's not a conspiracy, it simply is. It is being put into place in 45 states in grades K-12. There are Common Core standards for Pre-K and college to be implemented at a later date.It is a commitment to global education in a global society, an education that will erase the lines between U.S. sovereignty and individualism from everyone else in the world. Remember, there is no longer American Exceptionalism. President Obama said we are no more exceptional than anyone else. (Read more)
- Abba, it seems this "Common Core" educational model is mired in the "global agenda" that the UN and other nations are attempting to force upon us, violating our sovereignty and individualism. We pray that we, as a nation, will not be swallowed up by the globalist's enthusiasm, in a bid to neutralize any individuality. We thank You that many parents are voicing their dissent, and we pray that many more will do so, and push back these intrusive laws and standards. We thank You, Lord, that we are uniquely precious to You, and that You would protect us, and our children and grandchildren,we pray. Amen.

- "Only take heed, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart from your mind and heart all the days of your life. Teach them to your children and your children's children." (Deuteronomy 4:9)

1. Israeli official suggests Palestinians celebrating failure of peace talks - Jerusalem Post

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas returned from Washington on Thursday to a hero's welcome in Ramallah, where he pledged not to give up the Palestinians' rights or betray their trust.

2. Israel said to be budgeting billions for Iran strike - Times of Israel

Israel is still preparing for a strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, including a specific military budget running to NIS 10 billion ($2.89 billion), despite the developments in talks between world powers and Tehran.

3. Upon return from US, Abbas vows not to 'capitulate' - Times of Israel

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was met Thursday at his Ramallah compound by hundreds of cheering supporters during a ceremony marking his return from a trip to the United States, where he met with US President Barack Obama.

Prophesy, the antichrist, and the nations

It seems The Daily Jot about Russia's prophetic significance got people to thinking, which is a good thing. And when people think, they begin to ask questions. I might say that questions about prophecy are best answered with Bible study--not by studying what people teach or say about the Bible. You put a lot of effort into reading what people say about prophecy in the Bible, you may as well put that effort into finding out for yourself what the Bible says. Once you get started, you will not want to stop. There will be so many things you will find that have been taught as fact, but they are not what is in the Holy Scriptures. Remember, CONTEXT, CONTEXT, CONTEXT, and a few other little secrets are key.
There are primarily three methods of interpreting the names, peoples, and nations mentioned by the prophets in describing the coming empire of the antichrist. They are: The Ancestral-Migration Method--This method of tracking down and identifying the actual bloodlines of these ancient people is difficult. Many of these people have migrated, intermarried, or just disappeared. Because thousands of years have passed since the prophecies were made, tracking down most of the civilizations mentioned is almost impossible. However, some ancestral connections are fairly well established. The descendants of Ishmael, for example, are still identifiable as the Arab people in the Middle East.

The second is The Hyper Allegorical Method--Many conservative scholars over-compensate for the problem of the ancestral migration method by stating that those names and peoples mentioned by the prophets are simply references to general enemies of God's people. This approach makes allegorical the multitude of references throughout the prophets of names such as Moab, Edom, Assyria, or Lebanon to simply mean either every last nation on the entire earth or any end-time enemy of God's people. This approach overlooks the literal plain sense meaning of scripture. This hyper allegorical method is the most common among conservative commentators.

The third method is The Prophetic Literal Approach--This method identifies the location of the land or people at the time the prophesy was made, then looks at who inhabits the land today. This helps to avoid arbitrarily pointing to nations that have no real connection to the people or regions named by the prophets. Next is to emphasize the persistent violent enmity toward the people in the land of Israel. This is the most repeated basis for judgment of the enemies of God's people in the prophesies of the Day of the Lord which point primarily to the Middle East and Northern African nations.

The Prophetic Literal Approach, to me, is the most reasonable approach and that is the one I choose to follow. That's why I believe it is a reach for America to be mentioned in the prophecies--you just cannot find it anywhere. No doubt, I agree that America shapes the playing out of the prophecies (just as Russia is), but neither are mentioned players on the field.
As to the antichrist, a lot has been written about who he is and where he comes from. But the prophets are consistent. The "antichrist" is alluded to as the Assyrian in Isaiah 10:5,10:24,14:25, 19:23, 30:31, 31:8, Micah 5:5-6, and Hosea 11:5. Ezekiel 38:17 refers to him as "he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel." It is quite possible that the antichrist/the Assyrian will arise from what is now Turkey. Jesus Christ identifies modern Turkey as the seat of Satan. In Revelation 2:12-13, Jesus says, "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write: These things says he which has the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is . . ."
Remember as you study and discern, don't just pick out verses and build your own context around them as have many modern Bible teachers. Keep the verses in context. You will also find that the prophets are extremely consistent in what is written, especially about the end times. They are viewing The Day of the Lord event from several perspectives, but all are consistent. Why? Because it is God's word, not man's.

	Verizon FIOS Peddles Pornography

Verizon defends decision to offer incest and child themed porn
on video-on-demand

LOS ANGELES - Broadband and telecommunications giant Verizon is under fire for defending its decision to provide hard-core porn titles with child and incest themes. The company was included in the 2014 Dirty Dozen List of pornography's leading facilitators, compiled by Morality in Media (MIM), a national organization that opposes pornography.

According to MIM, lewd titles like "I Banged My Stepdad," "Mom, Daughter and Me," and "Pigtail Teens Pounded" are just some of the many offerings featured on Verizon's FIOS video on-demand service. In a letter to MIM, Verizon's Associate Director for Advertising and Content Standards John P. Artney defended the company's choice to provide the content, noting that "consumers today have extraordinary choice in and control over the content available to them across these networks."

"The explosion in choice is a tremendous benefit to consumers, but not all consumers want to have access to all content for themselves and their families all of the time," wrote Artney. "Not all content is desirable to or appropriate for all consumers, however, and Verizon is proud to provide our customers with myriad tools to control the types of content that they and their families have access to through our service."
Patrick Trueman, President and CEO of Morality in Media, thinks Verizon's defense is lacking. "Verizon needs to show some corporate responsibility. America is suffering a pandemic of harm from pornography and that harm falls particularly hard on children," he told FOX411. "We are coordinating with the members of our coalition, numbering 146 groups across the U. S., to alert the public to Verizon's pornography distribution. We have notified the board of Verizon through letters of our position on Verizon's distribution of pornography. We will publish responses from the board and will continue to press and shame the board if no action is taken."
Ari Zoldan, CEO of digital communications company Quantum Networks, added that "as Americans we believe in freedom of speech, but we also believe in protection of our children's welfare and well-being first and foremost."

But Leo Terrell, of CleartheCourt.com, says Verizon is simply acting like a business. "Verizon is handling this matter appropriately for its shareholders because it is making them a lot of money," Terrell said.
L.A-based pop culture expert Jenn Hoffman is also in Verizon's corner. "Shouldn't complaints be directed towards the millions of people paying for and enjoying this type of porn rather than a neutral party such as an internet provider?" she said. "It would be pretty impossible for Verizon to satisfy every different view of morality while actually serving consumer needs."

Verizon did not respond to a request for further comment. (Fox News)
- Pray that a huge groundswell of opposition to this policy will arise from the grassroots of our citizens, many of whom are Verizon customers. Whether this comes in the form(s) of a boycott, petitions, and/or letters to editors across the nation, we simply cannot afford to sit still and be quiet on this issue any longer, for the lives and the future of our children depend upon our actions.

Offer praise to our God that we live in a nation that allows us the right to protest in this fashion, and pray about what you can do to make your own voice heard to protest this corporate policy at Verizon.

Over these last few weeks, while Russia was violating international law, the leader of the free world did everything he could not to be "provocative." Obama responded to the invasion of a sovereign country with which we have treaty obligations by slapping sanctions on a list of Russian citizens. Obama's response amounted to: "You invade Crimea and we are going to make it impossible for Ivan Pavlov to come to Disney World!" I doubt Putin was impressed.

While the Obama Administration was telling us how important it was to avoid being provocative, Barack Obama was in possession of information regarding additional provocative actions by Putin. Fasten your seatbelts, folks. America's weakness is becoming so evident to our enemies that they are jockeying for position not just in their backyards, but in ours as well!
Consider this excerpt from The Hill:
"Away from the conflict in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin is quietly seeking a foothold in Latin America, military officials warn. To the alarm of lawmakers and Pentagon officials, Putin has begun sending navy ships and long-range bombers [to Latin America] for the first time in years. Russia's defense minister says the country is planning bases in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.

"Gen. James Kelly, commander of U.S. Southern Command said there has been a 'noticeable uptick in Russian power projection and security force personnel' in Latin America. 'It has been over three decades since we last saw this type of high-profile Russian military presence,' Kelly said."
But that's not all. The Hill adds, "Iran has opened up 11 additional embassies and 33 cultural centers in Latin America." Why would Iran want "cultural centers" throughout Latin America? To bolster what may be one of the most overlooked terrorist threats to America -- Hezbollah's growing influence in the region. (Gary Bauer)

PA President Mohammed Abbas has been in Washington this week and has met with American President Obama. More Palestinian prisoners are due for release by the end of the month. Many in Israel argue that since the negotiations are clearly leading nowhere and the Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, there is no reason to continue to release convicted murderers to return to their communities as heroes often to continue shedding Jewish blood. Pray:
- That the planned release of murderers would not take place.

- Lord, please forgive Israel for this corruption of justice.

- Harden the heart of Abbas that he would not moderate his demands but would only ask for more and more concessions.
- Cause Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry to come to a place of fearing God and the judgment which comes on those who divide up Your land.

- Give wisdom to Benyamin Netanyahu and the conviction that it is more important to have God on our side than the USA.
"I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land." (Joel 3:2)

Once more the world saw the situation in a nation change in one day, influencing a whole region. In the case of the Ukraine, Europe. There are new uprisings in the Venezuela, Turkey and others, as well. The UN Security Council and UN body will be called upon many times in the future and needs constant prayer covering. The decisions to be made are not easy, so for this reason let us take the word:

1Ti 2:1 "First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to God for all people; 2 for kings and all others who are in authority, that we may live a quiet and peaceful life with all reverence toward God and with proper conduct."

New Video brings Hope to Women Suffering after an Abortion

The Spanish-version received "many women (and some men) calling for more information, and to request help with post-abortion healing."
(Santiago, Chile)-A Latin American pro-life group dedicated to post-abortion healing has released a short, but touching, new video that it hopes will reach those who are suffering after abortion.

Proyecto Esperanza is headquartered in Santiago, Chile.

The organization hopes the video will reach as many people as possible and are encouraging concerned individuals, churches and organizations to promote it as widely as possible through email, Facebook and other social media.

Pro-life leader Dan Zeidler, who is facilitating the release, believes that the video, which is just over a minute long, will be "an effective way to spread the message that there is hope through the Love and Mercy of God for those suffering after abortion." Light on Saturn's large moon Titan likely waves, scientists say

Alien broadcast beacon? Rocket launch? Extra-terrestrial city?

A new analysis of a photograph taken by NASA's Cassini spacecraft reveals an unusually bright light amid the frozen seas of Saturn's giant moon Titan. But according to researchers from the University of Idaho in Moscow, the light -- just a few pixels in the overall image -- is no alien transmission or nuclear blast but a reflection of the planet's churning waters: It's the first time waves on the seas of the moon have been spotted.

"If correct this discovery represents the first sea-surface waves known outside of Earth," wrote Jason Barnes and colleagues in a paper presented at the 45th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference. (Fox News) Read more.
