The Daily Brief

1. Iran will likely retain nuke breakout ability, warns ex-defense minister - Times of Israel

Former defense minister and Kadima MK Shaul Mofaz on Thursday said that any agreement reached between world powers and Iran would likely keep Iran's uranium enrichment infrastructure intact, and therefore guarantee Tehran's ability to kickstart development of nuclear weapons.

- Father, we pray these talks with Iran will be met with caution. The motive during the nuclear talks appears to be more financial, rather than prevention of Tehran acquiring nuclear weapons. The lifting of the sanctions would increase oil supply and reduce prices in Western markets. Bring light to any hidden agenda when these world powers meet again in November to form a plan of action.

- For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers. (Proverbs 11:14)

2. Networks blamed shutdown on GOP in 41 stories --- 0 for Dems - Washington Examiner

Republicans never expected to get a fair shake in the Big Three networks' coverage of the 16-day government shutdown, but the final tally of stories blaming the GOP is stunning: 41 stories blamed Republicans and zero blamed Democrats.

- Father, we pray the American people have ears to hear and understand the bias of the media. Let us study and research for our own benefit, and not be fed by the major networks.

- Then he said, "Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand."(Mark 4:9)

3. Obama to Supreme Court: Don't Take NSA Cyber-Snoop Case - NewsMax

President Barack Obama's administration is urging the Supreme Court not to take up the first case it has received on controversial National Security Agency cybersnooping.

- Lord, we pray the court does take this case. There needs to be accountability with this administration. We pray protection over the privacy of American citizens.

- Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

4. Hours after deal is signed, budget negotiators start work to avoid the next showdown - Washington Examiner

Just 90 days away from the next budget showdown, congressional lawmakers were back at work early Thursday, initiating talks on a long-term budget deal they hope will end the gridlock and their crisis-driven management of the federal budget.

- Father, give strategies to our lawmakers to find a common ground for a budget agreement. Give them a plan that will grow our economy and get people back to work. In Jesus Name.

- Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness and his upper rooms without justice, who uses his neighbor's services without pay and does not give him his wages. (Jeremiah 22:13)

1. IDF concerned: 'Increased motivation to carry out terror attacks' - Ynet News

"There is an atmosphere that creates motivation to carry out terror attacks." The IDF is continuing to investigate Thursday evening's attempted terror attack, during which a Palestinian rammed a tractor into an IDF base and tried to run over soldiers until he was shot dead. Following the incident, which took place between Jerusalem and Ramallah, army officials expressed fear that the terror attacks in the West Bank will continue.

2. Israeli Strike Coming? - Washington Times

The clearest indicator of growing Israeli concerns, according to defense officials, is the recent large-scale Israeli air force drill Tuesday in the northern part of the country. The exercises along the northern border and over the Mediterranean were considered unusually large.

3. Turkey deliberately blows cover of up to 10 Iranians working for Mossad - Times of Israel

Seven times worse

The Lord tells us in Matthew 12:43-45, "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through the dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished. Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation." There is a story before us as a nation where the unclean spirits were on their way out and had been shut down for a time, yet even before they were purged, the spirit was allowed to return, now even stronger.

The common sense minority tried to cast out the spirit of socialism in our nation. They fasted the beast it occupied for even 16 days. The people moaned over their lack and pointed fingers and cried for revenge and demanded recompense, for the substance of their ease was fading away, causing them to think thoughts of having to exert themselves for their sustenance. The spirit blamed the minority for causing pain on the people. The spirit threw a tantrum and refused the people even their freedoms to enjoy their land. The spirit told his minions to make it as difficult on the people as possible so as to place the blame on the minority. In the end, the minority could not hold and the spirit prevailed and returned.
Now the spirit is emboldened and he has brought with him more spirits to inhabit and feed the beast. In fact, he even fed the minority to get some of its members to forget about the unclean spirit. They now have more food and resources than other members of the minority because they gave in to the spirit and helped save the beast. And the spirit now is setting his agenda to bring in millions of more kindred spirits--ones who like him are not of the nation, but of the beast. The spirit is flexing his new found strength and plotting to make more and more of the nation dependent on the beast and the spirit who feeds it. The state of the beast is far worse than before. The spirit is stronger than before.
The occupant of the Oval Office will now focus his attention on implementing his socialist agenda, including allowing those here illegally to become citizens and voters--of course for his longstanding socialist agenda. He will pay back all those who stuck with him by allowing them billions in taxpayer paid projects in their districts. In the end, it came down to money over principle. People got paid off. The result will be that you will be taxed more; spied on more; demeaned more if you disagree with the beast. In their failure, the Republicans and conservatives have destroyed themselves and let America down in the process. As Christ said, ". . . Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation." Obamacare's $600 Million Disaster

Obamacare's $600 Million Disaster

Barack Obama recently compared Obamacare to Apple's iPhone, and suggested the glitches in Obamacare would eventually be worked out. Well, here's something Obama didn't tell you: Apple spent roughly $150 million developing the iPhone. Obamacare's website, produced under a no-bid contract, has cost at least twice as much and maybe four times as much -- $600 million -- of your tax money.

Meanwhile it continues to be a colossal failure. Government memos obtained by the Associated Press indicate that the Obama Administration expected nearly half a million people would sign up for Obamacare through the exchanges by the end of the month. Good luck.

Only one person has successfully signed up in Delaware. Granted, Delaware is a small state. But officials in Michigan can't confirm if anyone there has signed up at all!

It gets worse. The Wall Street Journal reports today that those lucky enough to get through the system from start to finish may not be getting signed up for anything. Much of the data health insurance companies are receiving from the Obamacare website is apparently unreliable.

According to the Journal, "Emerging errors include duplicate enrollments, spouses reported as children, missing data fields and suspect eligibility determinations." In one case, an individual in Ohio was mistakenly signed up for three plans!

Not surprisingly, the report adds, "Health-department officials have pressured insurers to refrain from commenting publicly about the problems, according to executives at four health plans."

The fight to stop Obamacare has not been lost, and it is not over. The problems with Obamacare go well beyond "glitches." In an editorial today, former Senator Jim DeMint, who now leads the Heritage Foundation, explains why "delaying implementation by withholding funds from a law that is proven to be unfair, unworkable and unaffordable is a reasonable and necessary fight." The Oath Keepers

The Oath Keepers

Who are the Oath Keepers?

Stewart Rhodes's Oath Keepers is an organization of veterans, active duty military, law enforcement and all others who have sworn to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic", an oath which never expires. Members on military active duty are encouraged to remain anonymous, part of what prompts the Southern Poverty Law Center to denounce the organization as "a particularly worrisome example of the Patriot revival". Worrisome is precisely what they want to be of course. Such condemnation by the SPLC goes a long way in establishing their bona fides with rational people. Somewhat similar outfits include Mike Vanderboegh's Three Percenters and Larry Bailey's Gathering of Eagles.

Oath Keepers foresee martial law in the near future and pledge to disobey any order which violates the Constitution. It's a call to stand down, not to rise up, and lists these ten specific examples:

Oath Keepers: orders we will not obey:

1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.

2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people.

3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as "unlawful enemy combatants" or to subject them to military tribunal.

4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a "state of emergency" on a state.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to "keep the peace" or to "maintain control."

9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.

10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

Recently, Stewart Rhodes also said: "Actually, even if you have never served, you may join as an "associate member" and we really welcome and value the participation of any American who is dedicated to defending the Constitution and preserving Western Civilization. Many hands make light work! So, by all means join us as an associate and lend a hand. Some of the most competent warriors I know have never served in the military, but are nonetheless ready, willing, and able to step up."

The Good News Corner:

Christmas Carols Restored

A Wisconsin school district reversed its decision to limit Christmas music in December.

Fifteen elementary schools in the Wausau School District recently cancelled all holiday concerts. And Wausau West High School decided not to perform its traditional Christmas concert. These schools were responding to a district directive aimed at silencing religious music.

"Schools should not have to think twice about whether they can allow students to sing Christmas carols in a holiday production," said Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) Litigation Counsel Rory Gray. "Courts have unanimously upheld their inclusion - even when songs deal with Christian themes that are naturally a part of the holiday." (CitizenLink) Read more.
