The Daily Brief:

"Praying for All in Authority"

Wednesday, July 2, 2014

"Let me tell you what He has done for me."
(Psalm 66:16)
Anne Graham Lotz: Urgent Call to Prayer (7-7-7)

Prayer for Day Two:

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive all WEALTH

"God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed Heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds." -- Hebrews 1:1-2

We worship You, Lord Jesus Christ, as the Father's only begotten Son, the One to whom the Father has given everything. You are His Heir of all things. You made the world at Creation, You bought it at Calvary, and it's Your right to own and rule it . . . and us. You hold the world in the palm of Your hand, yet You are the same One who sees when a sparrow falls. The same One who clothes the lilies of the field. The same One who fed 5000 hungry men and their families with five loaves and two fish. You have promised to meet all our needs according to the riches of Your glory, because You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord Our Provider.

CHPP will publish special alerts on Friday (the 4th of July), Saturday and Sunday, so that you can read all of Anne Graham Lotz's prayers throughout this critical, seven-day period. Our Fourth of July edition will also honor our patriots, and those who came before . . .

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse . . ." (Rev. 19:1)
The Daily Brief

1. Congressman Bridenstine Denied Access to UAC Housing at Ft. Sill - AP

FORT SILL, Okla. (AP) - A Republican congressman from Oklahoma says he was denied access to a federal facility at Fort Sill that is housing hundreds of mostly teenage immigrant children from Central America.

Freshman U.S. Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Tulsa says he was visiting the Army post on Tuesday when he approached the facility and was told by security that he was not allowed to enter.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is overseeing the children's care, and Bridenstine says an agency official told him he could schedule a visit in three weeks. Bridenstine says there is "no excuse" for denying him access to the facility. A spokesman for HHS didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. Gov. Mary Fallin and U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe toured the facility two weeks ago. (Read more)

- Father, what is the federal government doing with these illegals, that a sitting US Congressman was denied access? We pray that more Congressmen will take the initiative and investigate what is taking place at these facilities.

- "Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face." (Psalm 5:8)

2. Medical staff warned: Keep your mouths shut about illegal immigrants or face arrest - Fox News

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.

In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution. [To read the horrific details recorded in a journal by a camp employee, go here.)

- Offer praise to the Lord that these courageous staff members are blowing the whistle on the conditions that are now rampant in these camps, so that hidden things are being revealed. Come against any backlash against any of them -- even protecting their lives in prayer -- and lift up a prayer that these children will receive the care that is needed. In His Name, amen.

- "He reveals mysteries from the darkness And brings the deep darkness into light." (Job 12:22)

3. Protests turn back buses carrying illegal immigrant children - Fox News

Homeland Security buses carrying illegal immigrant children and families were rerouted Tuesday to a facility in San Diego after American flag-waving protesters blocked the group from reaching a suburban processing center.

- Hooray, Lord, that people are beginning to wake up and take action. We ask that You move on the hearts of these people who have created this nightmare to stop it.

"The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the uprights shall flourish." (Proverbs 14:11)

4. Barack Obama Ready to Act on Immigration Alone (Video) - Worthy News

President Barack Obama announced he's ready to "act on his own" on immigration reform as he announced plans for using his executive power to make sweeping changes to the nation's immigration system.

- Father, we pray that the states will enforce the immigration laws we have now, and that the President will be stopped in his plans to go around Congress.

- " It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment." (Proverbs 18:5)

5. Louisiana Sheriff Stands Up for His Right to Pray - USA Today

Except for the voters who elected him, the sheriff of Bossier Parish said it's not anyone else's business when or where he prays, according to USA Today.

- Thank you, Lord, for this constitutional officer who knows that freedom of religion is part of America!

- "If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)

6. Federal Judge Strikes Down Kentucky's Marriage Amendment - Worthy News

A federal judge ruled that Kentucky's law that recognized marriage as being between one man and one woman violated the constitutional rights of same-sex couples, however he placed a stay on his own decision, in effect placing his ruling on hold until the conclusion of the appeal process.

- Lord, we are grieved because of the sin around us. We ask for mercy, grace at a time of "gross darkness," and  the ability to let Your light shine through us.

- "For behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His Glory shall be seen upon you." (Isaiah 60:2)

7. Report: Health law sign-ups dogged by data flaws - Washington Examiner

Over 3,000 Counties Examined: Obamacare Increased HealthCare by over 40%

In a study compiling data from 3,137 of a possible 3,144 counties in the United States, the underlying cost of individually-purchased health care jumped 41 percent in 2014, Forbes reported. (Read more)

- Lord, we have gone from good insurance, to ridiculously high cost insurance, and now to no insurance at all. Lord stop this travesty and bring fiscal responsibility and wisdom to our leaders!

- "Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases . . ." (Psalm 103:3)

8. Indictment of Benghazi Suspect Debunks White House Version of Events - Washington Times

The indictment of Ahmed Abu Khatallah, a suspect arrested in Libya earlier this month for the killing of a U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and thee other Americans, details a calculated attack on the U.S. Diplomatic mission and the CIA annex in Benghazi. This contradicts the Obama Administration's version of a 'spontaneous' riot took place on September 11 due to a anti-Muslim YouTube video. (Read more)

- Once again, the evidence seems to be mounting that the American people have not been told the whole truth about the reason that the tragic events occurred at Benghazi. We continue to lift up prayers that every hidden thing would be revealed and that justice would be done on behalf of those who perished at Benghazi on that fateful night.

- "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap." (Gal. 6:7)

9. Is the 'Digital Tattoo' a Precursor of Things to Come? - Worthy News
Last week, a company introduced 'digital tattoos' worn on the wrist to protect access your cell phone.

- Lord, we ask Your mighty protection under the Blood of Christ for all Your people as technology becomes prophetic.

- "And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death." (Rev 12:11)

10. Portman Bill to Commemorate FDR's D-Day Prayer at the WWII Memorial Signed Into Law - Press Release; Office of Congressman Rob Portman

Signing Comes Shortly After 70th D-Day Anniversary

Today, U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) announced that President Obama has signed into law his D-Day prayer bill, the World War II Memorial Prayer Act of 2013 (S.1044). The bipartisan legislation, authored by Portman and Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), directs the Secretary of the Interior to install a plaque or inscription at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. honoring the words that President Franklin D. Roosevelt prayed with the nation on June 6, 1944. (Please be inspired as you read the entire prayer, offered by President Roosevelt, here.)

- Father, we rejoice that, in the middle of these perilous times, we can still celebrate GOOD NEWS in our nation. We thank You for this good report, and we offer praise for the way that President Roosevelt honored You, knelt before You, and asked You for Your assistance in that great invasion. Thank you, Father, in Jesus' name, amen.

- "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." (Psalm 150:6)

The Middle East in Focus

The Middle East in Focus

This week, for all the headlines cited below, please join us in proclaiming THIS DECREE:

""I am YHWH, I change not. Therefore you sons of Jacob are not destroyed." (Malachi 3:6)

1. Palestinian teenager's body found in Jerusalem - BBC

Israeli police have found the body of a Palestinian teenager who was kidnapped overnight in East Jerusalem. Mohammed Abu Khdair, 17, was seen being forced into a car early on Wednesday. Within hours, his partly-burned corpse was discovered in a forest. Israeli police were unable to confirm the motive, but Palestinian sources said it appeared to be a revenge attack for the murder of three Israeli teens. (Read more)

2. Will Netanyahu use boys' rescue operation to finally thrash Hamas in Gaza too? - The Emet Report

Signs of an approaching IDF military operation against Hamas abounded this week as a possible outcome of the massive military-cum-intelligence effort to rescue the three Israeli boys Hamas is accused of abducting near Hebron on June 10.

Military strength constantly poured in to reinforce the siege around the Hebron, a West Bank city of 170,000 and is environs. Sunday night, June 15, Israeli forces surrounded and then stormed two houses for suspects, after detaining up to 100 Hamas operatives. During the day, a limited call-up of reserves was announced.

3. Freed Palestinian Terrorists Behind Kidnapping of Israeli Teens - The Emet Report

A senior Israel Defense Forces official is reported to have said that the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers late last week--one of whom is also a U.S. citizen--was planned by Palestinian terrorists who had recently been freed from Israeli prisons.

The report, from Israeli news source Arutz Sheva, did not indicate whether the IDF believed the perpetrators had been among those recently released at President Barack Obama's insistence.

4. Concern mounts ISIS threat could hit Lebanon - The Emet Report

Apprehension has risen significantly since the Sunni Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham, or ISIS, has blitzkrieged its way from eastern Syria into west and central Iraq. In a matter of days, ISIS, or the Dulat al-Islam fi al-Iraq or DAASH as it's also known, has swept through Iraq's predominantly Sunni provinces of Anbar, Daiyala, Karbala and Salah Ad Din heading toward Baghdad just inside Shia-dominated territory.

For all the articles listed below, please decree this verse from the Word of God: Psalm 68:1-3

"Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice."

1. Khamenei: Iraq War a Showdown Between Humanity and Barbarity - Reuters

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called the Iraq conflict a "showdown between humanity and barbarian savagery" and criticized Western media for portraying it as a war between Shi'ite and Sunni Muslims.

Outside powers have often exploited ethnic and religious divisions in Muslim states and "they dream of a war between Shi'ites and Sunnis" that would not happen, he said in Tehran, according to an official statement. (Read more)

2. Russian advisers ready Iraq to use 25 new combat aircraft - Bloomberg

Russian military advisers helped to prepare Iraq's air force to use five newly delivered combat planes in its campaign to recapture areas of the country's north that fell to an al-Qaeda breakaway.

The used Russian Sukhoi combat aircraft arrived in Iraq as government ground forces, backed by helicopter gunships, pressed their offensive to drive Sunni fighters of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant from the northern city of Tikrit. Al-Mada Press reported late yesterday that government forces recaptured Ouja village, Saddam Hussein's birthplace, south of Tikrit.

The Iraqi government turned to Russia to bolster its air capabilities, saying U.S. fighter jets were taking too long to be delivered. Russian advisers who arrived in Iraq are helping to put the "logistical procedures in place," and the aircraft will enter service within three to four days, air force commander General Anwar Ameen said yesterday on state-run Iraqiya TV. (Read more)

3. Russia Sends Sukhoi Jets to Iraq, Slams West Over Syria - The Moscow Times

As Iraq received its first shipment of Sukhoi fighter jets from Russia on Saturday to combat a radical insurgency seizing major cities, Moscow took a swipe at the West for "playing into the hands of terrorists" in the region. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki announced last week that the country had secured a deal with Russia and Belarus on the purchase of fighter jets to quell the spread of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant, a group of Sunni militants who have wreaked havoc in recent weeks using methods so brutal even al-Qaida has disavowed them. (Read more)

4. Sunnis, Kurds shun Iraq's new parliament - Reuters

Sunnis and Kurds walked out of the first session of Iraq's new parliament on Tuesday after Shi'ites failed to name a prime minister to replace Nuri al-Maliki, dimming any prospect of an early national unity government to save Iraq from collapse.

The United States, United Nations, Iran and Iraq's own Shi'ite clergy have pushed hard for politicians to come up with an inclusive government to hold the fragmenting country together as Sunni insurgents bear down on Baghdad. The leader of the al Qaeda offshoot spearheading the insurgency, the Islamic State, has declared a "caliphate" in the lands it has seized in Iraq and Syria. Its leader vowed on Tuesday to avenge what he said were wrongs committed against Muslims worldwide.

Despite the urgency, the Iraqi parliament's first session since its election in April collapsed when Sunnis and Kurds refused to return from a recess to the parliamentary chamber after Shi'ites failed to name a prime minister. (Read more)

The Daily Jot

The White House's prophetic Caliphate

In promoting all things Muslim--by supporting revolution and instability in the Middle East, by adopting the Muslim Brotherhood (and by association the Taliban, al Qaeda, Hamas and other offshoot military/terrorist arms) as a foreign policy partner, by releasing from prison the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria--now just called the Islamic State, and by training ISIS military in Jordan, the president will likely go down in history as the American leader who played a pivotal role in the rise of militant Islam worldwide. The world is watching a major event in history unfolding before its very eyes, and it may well be prophetic.

The Ottoman Empire was the last empire to rule over the Middle East. It was a Sunni-dominated Islamic Caliphate that ruled 624 years from 1299 to 1923, peaking at 35 million people in 1856 with Constantinople as its capitol. This vast empire extended from Iraq to Algeria from Hungary to Somalia, covering the Middle East, Northern Africa, Eastern Europe and Turkey. After World War I and weakened by various rebellions, the empire was replaced by the Republic of Turkey on October 29, 1923 and the caliphate was abolished on March 3, 1924. Many Bible scholars believe the Ottoman Empire more aptly fits the description in Revelation 17 and Daniel 2 and 7 than does the Roman Empire as the one that will revive and rise as the beast empire. It is a subject of fierce debate.
Notwithstanding, there are numerous verses which in context allude to the antichrist being Assyrian--Isaiah 10:5, 10:24, 14:25, 19:23, 30:31, 31:8, Micah 5:5-6, and Hosea 11:5. Ezekiel 38:17 refers to him as "he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel." It is quite possible that the antichrist/the Assyrian will arise from what is now Turkey. Jesus Christ identifies modern Turkey as the seat of Satan. In Revelation 2:12-13, Jesus says, "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write: These things says he which has the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is..."

In addition, no other religion on earth persecutes the saints as does Islam. Not the Roman Catholics, not the Hindus, not the Buddhists. The Roman Catholics, for all their political shenanigans and idolatry, still hold to a doctrine that Christ was crucified, rose from the dead, and was propitiation for our sin. Islam does not. Islam believes that Jesus was a great prophet, but was not the son of God. 2 John 7 says, "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." Traditional Islamic enemies of Israel, Russia, the Roman Catholic church all may well play a role in the end time return of Christ. This White House, however, has played a pivotal role as a catalyst of prophetic end time events.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

True the Vote Takes Action

TRUE THE VOTE FILES SUIT AGAINST MISSISSIPPI, STATE REPUBLICAN PARTY

REQUESTS IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO ELECTION RECORDS AHEAD OF CERTIFICATION DEADLINE

OXFORD, MS. -- July 1, 2014: True the Vote (TTV), the nation's leading voters' rights and election integrity organization, today filed suit in federal court against the Mississippi Secretary of State and the State Republican Party, asking the Court to immediately order that election records be shared to inspect for illegal votes ahead of certification for the June 24 U.S. Senate Primary Runoff Election (True the Vote, et. al v. State of Mississippi, et. al. (3:14cv144-MPM-SAA)).

True the Vote and associated plaintiffs argue that the defendants failed to properly abide by federal election record maintenance and open records provisions codified in the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA). Records made partially available to the plaintiffs indicated "double-voting" from Democratic to Republican primaries -- potentially diluting votes in violation of the Equal Protection Clause.

"All we are asking is that the MS State Republican Party follow the law; allow their designated county representatives to inspect the poll books and ballots, give them the review time they are permitted by law, and allow them to uphold their responsibility to MS voters," True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht said. "True the Vote has been inundated with reports from voters across Mississippi who are outraged to see the integrity of this election being undermined so that politicos can get back to business as usual. Enough is enough."

"This isn't about personality, party, or politics. Senators come and go," Engelbrecht continued. "What must withstand the test of time is the integrity of the process by which we elect our representatives and establish our government. No candidate or party should ever be allowed to twist election laws or subvert voters' rights in the interest of political ambition." (Read more here)

- Please agree with us in prayer that True the Vote will find favor in this Court of Appeals, and that they will win this lawsuit.

- "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

Open Borders Backlash

Open Borders Backlash

Monday Obama pledged to "go it alone" on immigration reform, and now left-wing Democrats are urging Obama to "go big." According to various reports, pro-amnesty advocates are calling on Obama to unilaterally rewrite the nation's immigration laws "to essentially legalize the millions of undocumented immigrants who would be eligible for work permits under the bill passed by the Senate last summer."

Nearly two-thirds of Americans already disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling immigration. Unilaterally granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants would be politically explosive.

We have suggested recently that civil disobedience would become more likely as left-wing elites in politics, media and big business aggressively continue their mad rush to "fundamentally transform" America. You can only push a patient and tolerant people so far.

Yesterday we saw the first signs of a possible backlash against Obama's open borders policy in the small community of Murrieta, California. The federal government has tried twice to relocate illegal immigrants to a processing facility in Murrieta, but backed down after objections from local officials.

When the federal government ignored the people and tried to bus in more than 100 illegal immigrants yesterday, flag-waving citizens of Murrieta blocked the roads. The buses were forced to turn around. There have been similar, if less dramatic, episodes around the country, even in predominantly liberal communities like Baltimore.

Randon Lane, a Murrietta City Council member, commented, "We have money to take them from Texas, fly them to San Diego, bus them up to Murrietta, and then turn around and ship them off to some other place -- we have the money to do that -- we just don't have the money to secure our borders? So, yes, it seems very odd."

Murrieta Mayor Alan Long wrote in a statement, "Murrieta expects our federal government to enforce our laws, including the deportation of illegal immigrants caught crossing our borders, not disperse them into local communities."

Millions of Americans share the outrage of Mayor Long and Councilman Lane. Unfortunately, Obama and his left-wing, pro-amnesty allies could care less, and the simmering frustration of the American people is beginning to boil over.

Civil disobedience tends to happen when government actions are seen as overbearing and unjust. There is often a second condition too: people engage in civil disobedience as a last resort when they see no countervailing power willing to confront the injustice.

People go to a town hall to yell about deficit spending when they fear their children's futures are being stolen and no one is stopping it. They stand with a rancher, march for marriage or block buses because they don't see a political party aggressively defending their rights, values and the sovereignty of their country.

Congressional Republicans would be better off if they stopped paying so much attention to D.C. lobbyists and the Chamber of Commerce, and paid more attention to their constituents back home! (Gary Bauer)

The Good News Corner

The Good News Corner:

Countries Enact Anti-Trafficking Legislation Following Report:

Make 180 Degree Turn

Since the Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report's inception, more than 120 countries have enacted anti-trafficking laws and many countries have taken other steps required to significantly raise their tier rankings-citing the TIP Report as a key factor in their increased anti-trafficking response.

(Washington, DC)-The latest country-by-country ratings about anti-human trafficking policies around the world-a report mandated by a law written by Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-04), the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA)-was released today by the U.S. State Department.
"Experts estimate that there is more slavery in the world today that at any previous time in human history. With the Trafficking in Persons (or TIP) report and tier rankings, the United States is ensuring more accountability and progress than ever before in the fight to rid the world of this enduring form of slavery," said Smith, co-chair of the House Human Trafficking Caucus. "The trafficking office evaluates just how hard governments around the world are combating human trafficking. Good or bad, the record is laid out for the world to see in a tier ranking system. This year's report shows progress, but marks the way forward to rid the world of this gross violation of human dignity."
TVPA created the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the State Department. Its annual TIP Report rates 195 nations. Rep. Smith chaired a special hearing in April of this year to evaluate the records of countries downgraded to the lowest tier in last year's TIP report, such as China, Russia, and Uzbekistan, as well as countries facing downgrade this year-Burma, Thailand, and Malaysia among others. "The importance of accurate Tier rankings and TIP Report country profiles cannot be overstated. Again and again, we have seen countries turn 180 degrees and begin the hard work of reaching the minimum standards after the TIP report accurately exposed-with a Tier 3 ranking and truthful country report-each country's failure to take significant action against human trafficking. By the same token, a premature boost to Tier 2 may not only undermine progress, but fail to inspire it among countries actually doing the hard work."
The TIP Report released today showed that Thailand and Malaysia had been downgraded to Tier 3, where they joined Uzbekistan and Russia. However, Burma was given a waiver despite the fact that their Rohingya policies are driving the trafficking in Thailand and Malaysia, and that the Burmese military reportedly traffics men, women, and children internally displaced by conflict. China was upgraded to the Tier 2 Watch List, the second lowest rating.
