The Daily Brief

1. Full Coverage: Illegal Immigration Leads to Border Crisis - Worthy News

The border crisis continues to escalate as illegal immigration protesters on both sides of the debate battle over the issue in a full-blown crisis. So far this year 0ver 50,000 illegal immigrant children have already entered the U.S. (Read more)

- Precious Lord, we know You love the little children and You love the USA as a country, so we humbly ask that You would cause events to happen to stem the flow of these children who are put in a dangerous position. Father, we ask You to reveal all evil actions involved in the encouragement of this flow. We ask for mercy for these children and mercy for our overloaded immigration system. Make the authorities aware that they will have to answer to You concerning how the children are treated.

- "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones that believes in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." (Matthew 18:6)

2. NSA Targets Ordinary Internet Users More Than Legally Targeted Foreigners - Washington Post

Ordinary Internet users, American and non-American alike, far outnumber legally targeted foreigners in the communications intercepted by the National Security Agency from U.S. digital networks, according to a four-month investigation by The Washington Post. (Read more)

- Oh, Father, we ask that You, by Your very special ways, would correct this abuse of power by this agency. In the name of Jesus, we declare that only those surveillances that are warranted will stand and that all others will come to naught. We bind up all wicked, evil, and unconstitutional use of this technology.

- "'For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,' says the Lord; 'I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.'" (Psalms 12:5)

3. One of Europe's Biggest Banks Collapses - Bloomberg

One of Europe's largest banks, Austria's largest bank by assets, will post a $2.2 billion loss this year. (Read more)

- Dear Lord, how uncertain the times are economically, but how firm a foundation we have in You! We know that no matter what happens in the natural, that You protect and provide for Your own. Thank you, Lord, for keeping Your people during these times. Give the authorities wisdom and banish greed and dishonesty during this time.

- "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." (Psalms 34:10)

4. Chinese hackers turned focus to U.S. experts on Iraq: security firm - Reuters

A sophisticated group of hackers believed to be associated with the Chinese government...suddenly began breaching computers belonging to experts on Iraq as the rebellion there escalated... CrowdStrike Inc said that the group is one of the most sophisticated of the 30 it tracks in China and that its operations are better hidden than many attributed to military and other government units.

- Father, give us wisdom and skill in protecting our systems from hackers. May the information they have obtained so far be lost, and not recovered. In Jesus Name.

- "In you they have taken bribes to shed blood; you have taken interest and profits, and you have injured your neighbors for gain by oppression, and you have forgotten Me," declares the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 22:12)

5. Newborn baby among three dead in earthquake in Guatemala and Mexico - Telegraph

A strong earthquake shook the border between Guatemala and Mexico on Monday, killing at least three people, including a newborn boy, damaging dozens of buildings and triggering landslides. Much of the damage from the 6.9-magnitude quake was reported in the Guatemalan border region of San Marcos, where it downed power lines, cracked buildings and triggered landslides that blocked roads.

- Father, we pray for this region that has been affected by the earthquake. We pray comfort for those who have lost loved ones. We pray recovery of all that was lost. We pray protection from the landslides. In Jesus Name.

- I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. (Psalm 91: 2-3)

6. Part-Time Nation - Front Page Mag

Last Thursday, Obama-centric mainstream media trumpeted the creation of 288,000 jobs and the reduction in the unemployment rate from 6.3 percent to 6.1 percent. Lost in the manufactured euphoria are the sobering details: America is well on its way to becoming a nation where millions of workers can only find part-time, lower-paying jobs.

- Father, have mercy on us! Empower businesses and citizens to profit in order to support their families with better paying jobs. Provide a leader of our nation who looks to You for answers.

- Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. (Isaiah 48:17)

1. Congressional Report: Muslim Terrorists Accompany Illegal Minors Across the Border - Hebrew Nation News

A congressional report has confirmed that Muslim terrorists are blending in with the illegal minors to cross the border. Obama's invitation for illegal minors to come into this country by the thousands has provided Muslim terrorists the perfect cover to enter our country. (Read more here)

1. Border crisis could provide cover to ISIS operatives, say experts - Fox News

The border crisis could be the perfect opportunity for Islamic terrorists looking to sneak sleeper cells into the U.S., say experts. Patrols on the Mexican border have been stretched to the breaking point in recent weeks by a tidal wave of immigrants from Central America. Among the estimated 60,000 people who have streamed across is a small percentage of what agents term "Special Interest Aliens," or SIAs. Terrorism experts say airport security is effective at keeping dangerous jihadists out, but the border breakdown could be America's Achilles heel - providing an entry point for groups like ISIS.

"It's impossible to say that ISIS will soon be active on our border, but some groups will be," said retired Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, a security and defense analyst and Fox News contributor. "The one thing that all of the squabbling jihadi groups in the Middle East and North Africa have in common is that they want to strike the U.S., both for what they view as vengeance and because, in terrorist circles, striking the U.S. is how you confirm that you're a major player." 2. Islamic State 'Caliph' Calls on All Muslims to 'Obey' him - Worthy News

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State, in his first public appearance as the self-appointed Caliph, said all Muslims owe their allegiance to the Caliphate.

3. Iraq's PM Rejects Pressure to Step Down - Reuters

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki refused on Friday to give up his quest for a third term in power, defying a chorus of critics demanding his replacement as the country faces an existential threat from Islamist insurgents.

Maliki has come under mounting pressure since militants of the group now calling itself the Islamic State rampaged through swathes of the country last month and declared a mediaeval-style caliphate on land they have captured in Iraq and neighboring Syria.

"I will never give up my candidacy for the post of prime minister," Maliki said in a statement read out on state television by an announcer. "I will remain a soldier, defending the interests of Iraq and its people," he added, in the face of what he called terrorists and their allies.(Read more)

The Daily Jot (Part One)

When lawlessness abounds

Monday, July 7, 2014

Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry took to the airwaves again this past weekend to berate the "president" for his negligence in enforcing border security. Perry said that the White House is either inept or doesn't care about border security. Perry said on ABC's This Week the "president" doesn't care "whether or not the border of the United States is secure." Many Americans following this border crisis have a difficult time suspending their disbelief that a president of the United States would knowingly allow the country to be invaded. It is time to call this what it is: This "president" is deliberately not enforcing border security laws. Irrespective of his reasons, he is breaking the law.

Contrast this with a Breitbart report that protesters in Murrieta, California who are blocking busses of illegals from being housed in their town will be met with federal forces in riot gear to force the citizens to accept the illegal aliens. Breitbart reports that federal agents plan to arrive in Murrieta to ensure that the next busload of aliens make it to the housing facility. USA Today reported that six protesters were arrested in Murrieta Friday for crossing "the yellow tape that blocked protesters from the Border Patrol station entrance."

Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner wrote an editorial published by CNN. He said that every member of Congress and the "president" swore an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. He wrote: "But too often over the past five years, the President has circumvented the American people and their elected representatives through executive action, changing and creating his own laws, and excusing himself from enforcing statutes he is sworn to uphold -- at times even boasting about his willingness to do it, as if daring the American people to stop him." So Boehner promises to bring legislation to sue the "president." Boehner doesn't mention that Congress already has the Constitutional authority and responsibility to bring action against the "president."
Illegals, including children, terrorists, and other malcontents, are crossing the border illegally at will. We have a "president" who is breaking the law by not enforcing it. By its inaction and lack of leadership, Congress is allowing the breaking of the law by the "president" and the illegals. The only ones getting arrested are the American citizens who are trying to prevent their town from being overrun by illegal aliens that the government, who is breaking the law, is trying to force on the citizens. Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn." God's solution is found in Leviticus 24:22: "Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God." Justice has fallen in the streets, who shall restore it?

The Daily Jot (Part Two)

The significant prophetic advance

On January 18, 2002, when I wrote the first Daily Jot, there were maybe one or two prophetic-related events per month. Over the years, these events increased to perhaps one a week. Then several a week. Then one a day. And, now, sometimes so many that it is difficult to pick which to write about. Irrespective of your eschatology, it is difficult to deny that we are living in an exciting prophetic time. Hardly dinner table conversation in 2002, today the conversation doesn't even have to drift to to the Biblical significance of the day's events at our dinner table with family or friends. It gets there naturally and sometimes very quickly. I believe beyond a doubt that we are watching Biblical prophecies take shape.

From the Caliphate in the Middle East to the US president as a catalyst to Islamic dominance, it is not difficult now to see how the epic end time battle of Ezekiel 38 takes shape and waits suspended for the LORD to set it in motion. World powers, such as the United States under the leadership of godless men and women, are shifting. They are abandoning traditional roles of standing in the breech for Israel and for holding the violent Islamic aggression at bay. Instead, they have taken the approach of engagement, aiding and abetting, tolerance and allowance of this aggression to be played out by the hands of brutal men who give new meaning to the contemporary definition of the word "terrorist."
The "church" is divided as much on doctrine as it is on who is Jesus Christ. Self indulgence, emotionalism, and extra-biblical, even non-biblical teaching, has replaced sound doctrine in much of the church. Discussions on doctrine and theology often are now argued in terms of who wrote what book that is currently popular, instead of the context of the word of God. This is 2 Timothy 4:3,4 playing out: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." This opens the door to great deception.

I cannot urge you enough to study the word of God on your own. Teachers, preachers, and others who self-proclaim their church offices will not stand in your place before the Lord on Judgement Day. It will be you, and you alone. You won't be able to quote passages from some so-called Bible teacher in your defense. It will be about your relationship with the LORD. With the exponential increase in events that can be related to prophecy and the desire of the masses to chase after the newest opinion on scripture, I now have a fuller understanding of what Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 2:12 to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Read the Word in its context. Get close to Jesus. We are living in prophetic times.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Immigration Insanity

The Left's Immigration Insanity

Barack Obama's open borders scandal continues to fester. Don't let anyone tell you our borders are secure. The New York Times reports that nearly 300,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the border "in recent months." Rather than being deported, they have been dispersed throughout the country by the government.

Many Americans, particularly those on the right, are justifiably upset by the Obama Administration's outrageous refusal to enforce our immigration laws and the chaos it has created. The political left is also angry over immigration. . . but its anger is aimed at Americans of all races who are saying, "We've had enough!"

Stunned by last week's popular uprising against the relocation of illegal immigrants to Murrieta, California, reports indicate that the Obama Administration is preparing to send in hundreds of federal agents in riot gear to break the resistance.

Over the Fourth of July holiday, I watched numerous liberal commentators and political figures express their anger not at the routine violation of our borders and immigration laws. . .

. . . not at the families sending their children alone on a dangerous trek across Central America. . .

. . . not at the pro-amnesty agitators who chanted, "Viva La Raza" and burned the American flag. . .

. . . but at Americans of all races, including blacks and Hispanics, who oppose flooding their communities with people who have clearly violated the law.

It was a stark reminder of how normalcy so infuriates the radical social engineers who control our government and manipulate our culture.

The most normal reaction imaginable to a massive influx of people entering our country, who access welfare and other taxpayer-funded programs, is to say, "Enough!" Overwhelmingly, these are men and women with little-to-no marketable skills, not the high-tech workers the president and the Chamber of Commerce insist we need.

The normal reaction of any nation is to be concerned about its sovereignty, language, culture, national identity and traditions. Yet as Americans express these completely normal views, they are labeled "racists" and "xenophobes."

Don't believe me? Just consider this column by a left-wing activist comparing the term "illegal immigrant" to the "N word." (Gary Bauer; excerpt)

A Call to "Rise Up"

Rise up against Obama's 'transformed' America

I have spent my life in service to my country. I love America. The principles upon which our nation was founded have served to make us, down through the years, the envy of the world.

But now I am grieved to see what is happening in Washington. As I write these words, we, as Americans, are confronting four key issues and your immediate response is needed.

1. The utter disregard for the rule of law on the part of the Obama administration is shocking. The notorious prisoner swap is only the latest example:

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl may have been a deserter, based on claims by the men in his platoon -- yet the White House negotiated for his release in exchange for five dangerous terrorists being held at Guantanamo Bay.

On top of the bad ethics of the decision, this prisoner exchange took place in complete contradiction to the law: the President is required to give Congress 30 days' notice prior to the release of any prisoners from Guantanamo. He gave them none at all.

2. The Obama administration has demonstrated contempt for our military across the board. To free five high-ranking enemy military leaders who are committed to undermining American interests -- known as the "Taliban dream team" -- terrorists captured at a terrible cost by our men and women in uniform -- demonstrates complete disrespect for the U.S. military. (One of the five was the equivalent of the Secretary of Defense.)

But here again, this is only the latest example of a long-established pattern. The President has an obvious disrespect for our traditions, for the religious heritage of our country, for the freedoms we hold dear -- especially the freedom to live out one's own personal religious values. Christians in the military are under tremendous pressure to keep their faith to themselves. Religious freedom in the military is becoming a thing of the past.

3. A complete transformation of America, a remaking of our country based on a government-centric socialist model, is the evident goal of this administration. The President and his radical-liberal friends will let nothing stand in the way of their achieving this goal -- unless we, the American people, rise up and say, "No more."

4. The scandal of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is even worse than most people realize.

This is one of the most extensive governmental scandals in U.S. history, with veterans dying for lack of access to VA hospital services, falsified wait-time records, bureaucrats paid bonuses for denying desperately needed care to the sick and injured, horrible conditions, bad doctors -- and the VA Secretary resigning in shame.

If you want to see what kind of treatment you can expect under ObamaCare, simply take a look at the government-managed health care afforded to our veterans: This is the direction we're headed in!

In a tragically ironic twist, the Obama administration has now lifted a longtime ban on funding for senior citizens to get sex-change surgery at taxpayer expense -- while completely neglecting the care of wounded veterans who lay dying for lack of medical care.

In fact, you get better health care in this country if you are an illegal immigrant or in prison -- if you're incarcerated for treason, for selling out your country -- than if you're a veteran.
It's an outrage.
I am writing you today to ask for your help. Please give a generous contribution of support to FRC Action today.

FRC Action is working long hours on Capitol Hill fighting the lawlessness of this administration and working to make things right for our veterans. Our team is working with leaders in the House of Representatives and ranking Republicans in the Senate, urging them to order a full-scale criminal investigation into VA operations as well as the illegal Bergdahl prisoner swap. FRC Action is also working to get rock-solid candidates elected to office -- true-blue candidates who will live out their values and boldly stand for what is right.

We need your strong support right now. Your generosity will enable FRC Action to continue its crucial work on your behalf on Capitol Hill. We are representing your values here. Through FRC Action, your voice is heard -- and you are making a difference.

Please let us hear from you quickly. Thank you. God bless you.

Yours for America,

Lt. Gen. (US Army-Ret.) William "Jerry" Boykin

The Good News Corner:

To "Thunderous Applause," The U.N. Reaffirms "Natural Family" AKA: "Traditional Family" as the Fundamental Unit of Society

A last ditch attempt to include the qualification of "various forms of the family" failed at the eleventh hour. The resolution passed by a comfortable margin, with 26 votes for, 14 against, and 6 abstentions. It was greeted by thunderous applause.

(New York, NY)-The United Nations put a damper on "gay pride" festivities last Thursday when it re-affirmed that the natural family is the fundamental unit of society.

The Human Rights Council adopted a resolution on "Protection of the Family" with a traditional definition of the family last Thursday, even as revelers readied themselves to celebrate gay pride weekend. It recognizes the importance of the family for society and individuals, and that countries must strengthen and protect the family.

The resolution not only echoes language from the U.N.'s Universal Declaration of Human Rights about the family as the "natural and fundamental unit of society," it also states that the family is the "natural environment" for the education and development of children.

The resolution does not sit well with countries that give cohabiting individuals of the same-sex similar rights as married couples, or allow persons of the same sex to marry.

Some countries, the United States among them, rejected that definition and claimed the resolution threatens the rights of individuals in families and tries to impose a single model of family.

LGBT groups and their supporters in the council fought to keep the resolution on the family from being considered. The resolution had been in the works for over a year but brought to the floor this year.

Their last ditch attempt to include the qualification of "various forms of the family" failed at the eleventh hour. The resolution passed by a comfortable margin, with 26 votes for, 14 against, and 6 abstentions. It was greeted by thunderous applause. (LifeSiteNews) Read more here.

4 dead in magnitude-6.9 earthquake in southern Mexico, Guatemala

TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, Mexico - A magnitude-6.9 earthquake on the Pacific Coast jolted a wide area of southern Mexico and Central America Monday, killing at least four people and damaging dozens of homes.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit at 6:23 a.m. (7:23 a.m. EDT) on the Pacific Coast 1 mile north-northeast of Puerto Madero, near the Guatemala border. It initially calculated the magnitude at 7.1 but later lowered the figure to 6.9.

Firefighters spokesman Raul Hernandez said at least two people died in their homes from collapsed walls in the Guatemalan town of Pati, in the border province of San Marcos. Another woman in Quetzaltenango died from a heart attack.

Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina spoke on radio Emisores Unidos of a fifth case, a newborn hit by a collapsing wall in a San Marcos hospital.

The civil defense office in the Mexican state of Chiapas reported on its Twitter account that one man had been killed in Huixtla by a collapsed wall.

"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
