"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10)

1. Iranian Intel chief: Israel's Mossad plotting to undermine stability in Iran - Jerusalem Post

Iran's intelligence minister warned Monday of plots by western spy agencies, including Israel's Mossad, to undermine stability in the Islamic Republic.

"The intelligence services of the US, Israel, Mossad, MI6 and certain regional states are making attempts to challenge the Islamic Republic's security," Iran's Fars news agency quoted Seyed Mahmoud Alavi as saying in a television interview.

Alavi said that the efforts by Israeli and other spy agencies would fail to disturb Iran, "an island of security."(Read more)

2. Israel says Iran is sponsoring rocket attacks - Politico

Israel says Iran was behind rocket attacks into its territory from Syria last week, raising new questions about Tehran's regional aggression in the wake of last month's nuclear agreement. Following the rocket attacks, which Israel says were coordinated by an Iranian military commander, Israeli diplomats have filed a formal complaint with the U.S. and its partners in the July 14 nuclear accord charging Iran with "an indiscriminate and premeditated terrorist attack against Israeli territory without any provocation." 3. IDF 'more ready than ever' to strike Iran, security official says - Times of Israel

The Israeli military is readier now than it ever has been to carry out a strike on Iran's nuclear facilities should it be instructed to do so, a senior security official told Walla news Monday.

"Every year that passes, the IDF improves," the unnamed official said. "We never stand still. The professional level increases. In the coming year we will receive another submarine, F-35 fighter jets and other platforms. Intelligence is improving as well," he said. (Read more)

4. J'lem Municipality denies demolition order for mosque - Jerusalem Post

The Jerusalem Municipality on Monday denied reports in the Arab media that an illegally built mosque in the flashpoint east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan has been cited for demolition.

Last week, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan and Ma'an News Agency claimed that demolition orders were delivered by municipal officials on Friday for the three-year-old al-Qaaqaa Mosque, which was built without a permit. (Read more)

5. Assad: Fighting 'Terrorists' More Important than Fighting Israel - Israel National News

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad said on Monday that fighting the "terrorists" in his country takes precedence to fighting Israel. "Terrorists" is the term the Syrian president routinely uses to describe the anti-regime rebels trying to topple him.

Speaking in an interview with Hezbollah's Al Manar television, Assad hinted that Syria would not retaliate for last week's Israeli airstrikes in Syria, which came after rockets from Syrian territory were fired onto the Israeli side of the Golan Heights.

"There are Syrian groups that work with the enemy - Israel and other enemies, and call on it to intervene in Syria," Assad told the network, according to a translation on the Hebrew-language Walla! news website.

"Therefore, the tools used by Israel (to intervene in Syria), which are more important that the latest aggression, are the terrorists in the country," he continued. (Read more)

6. West Bank Israeli Settlements Petition High Court Over EU-Funded 'Illegal' Structures for Bedouin - Algemeiner

Three Jewish settlements in the West Bank in the narrow corridor between Jerusalem and the Dead Sea have asked the High Court of Justice to demand that the state demolish 15 structures they claim were built illegally with the assistance of the European Union on the communities' territories, Israel Radio reported on Monday.

The petitioners argued that the 15 structures were built using EU funds for Bedouin families as part of a larger plan to undermine Israeli sovereignty in these territories, which were captured by Israel during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. The settlements themselves are not recognized under international law, though Israel disputes these claims. (Read more)

7. ISIS Document Reveals Vision of Armageddon - Breaking Israel News

A 32-page ISIS document calling for open warfare against non-Muslims has been uncovered in Pakistan and authenticated by retired US Defense Intelligence Agency Director General Michael Flynn and other intelligence officials. The document has been compared to Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf", the political manifesto in which the Nazi leader outlined his plan for the future of Germany and its Jews.

The ISIS document places the blame for the appearance of jihadi organizations like ISIS on the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. The document declares, "No sooner had the British government relinquished control of Israel, Ben-Gurion, the leader of the Jews, declared the independence of the State of Israel, triggering a global migration of Jews to the Jewish State, and launching the systematic persecution of Palestinian Muslims who had to abandon their homes and migrate."

The document, titled A Brief History of the Islamic State Caliphate (ISC): The Caliphate According to the Prophet, contains a six stage plan for the development of the Islamic State and for conquering the entire world. (Read more)

1. Dow closes at 15,666.44 - Bloomberg

A rebound that took the Dow Jones Industrial Average up more than 440 points disappeared in the final hours of trading, with investors giving in to trepidation over what will happen overnight in China amid the most volatile equity markets in four years.

"People are nervous about the potential volatility that could erupt or resurface in the market," said Stephen Carl, principal and head equity trader at Williams Capital Group LP. "They're not sure what's going to happen overseas, and that uncertainty is winning out." (Read more)

- Abba Father, we thank You that You are our Provider. It does not matter what the stock market does or does not do because in the end You watch over us. Thank You. In His Name we pray, Amen.

- Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

"So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
(Matthew 6:27-29)

2. 'Israel should be annihilated,' senior Iran aide says - Times of Israel

A senior Iranian official on Tuesday said Israel "should be annihilated," and that the thawing relations with the West would not translate into a shift in Tehran's position concerning the Jewish state.

Hussein Sheikholeslam, a foreign affairs adviser to parliament speaker Ali Larijani, told Iranian media that contrary to remarks by British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, "Our positions against the usurper Zionist regime have not changed at all; Israel should be annihilated and this is our ultimate slogan."

Hammond was in Iran on Monday for the reopening of the UK embassy in Tehran, and said that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had indicated a "more nuanced approach" to Israel's existence. Hammond said Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's "revolutionary sloganizing" should be distinguished from "what Iran actually does in the conduct of its foreign policy."

"We've got to, as we do with quite a number of countries, distinguish the internal political consumption rhetoric from the reality of the way they conduct their foreign policy," the Guardian quoted Hammond saying. (Read more)

- Abba Father, Forgive us. We repent of agreeing with Iran on a Nuclear Agreement that in the end could cause Iran to use nuclear weapons on Israel, the apple of Your eye. Abba we ask that You would send Your angels to continue to protect Israel from all fallout from this Nuclear Agreement with Iran. In His Name we pray, Amen.

- "This day the LORD will deliver you up into my hands, and I will strike you down and remove your head from you. And I will give the dead bodies of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel." ( I Samuel 17:46 )

3. Obama has power to circumvent Congress on Iran nuclear deal - The Washington Times

Even strong bipartisan disapproval by Congress of the Iranian nuclear deal won't stop President Obama from implementing the agreement, so the vote next month is shaping up as a warning to Europe against resuming business with Tehran before the next U.S. president is elected.

On his Senate website though, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid on Sunday became the highest-profile Democrat to endorse the deal and added that he would attempt to sway other members of his party. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we stand in the gap and repent for our Congress for being so blind.President Obama issued a signing statement on Section 1245 of the National Defense Authorization Act as nonbinding because it would interfere with his constitutional authority to conduct foreign relations. This now allows President Obama to override any legislation that Congress passes to stop the Iran Nuclear Agreement. Abba Father have mercy on us. If this agreement is not Your will, do not allow it to pass nonbinding or not! In His Name we pray, Amen.

- " . . . but the people who know their God will display strength and take action." (Daniel 10:32b)

4. Obama unveils compensation package for Israel after Iran deal - Jerusalem Post

The New York Times on Friday revealed the details of a compensation package Israel is set to receive from the United States after world powers and Iran agreed to a historic nuclear agreement in early July.

Laid out in a letter dated August 19 to US Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), the president promised to increase American military aid for Israel in developing new anti-missile systems and tunnel detection technologies.

"Our governments should identify ways to accelerate the ongoing collaborative research and development for tunnel detection and mapping technologies to provide Israel new capabilities to detect and destroy tunnels because they could be used to threaten Israeli civilians," Obama stated in writing. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we stand in the gap and ask forgiveness for President Obama for his hypocritical military aid for Israel. This package will help Israel, but it will also buy votes for passage of the Iran Nuclear Agreement. This is an underhanded way to get his agreement passed no matter what. Have mercy on us Abba. Stop this agreement if it is not Your will. In His Name we pray, Amen.

- "For it isnot an enemy who reproaches me, Then I could bear it; Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me, Then I could hide myself from him. But it is you, a man my equal, My companion and my familiar friend. . . "
(Psalm 55:12-13)

5. US, Turkey to launch anti-IS air operation - The International News

ANKARA: Turkey and the United States will soon launch "comprehensive" air operations to flush Islamic State fighters from a zone in northern Syria bordering Turkey, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told Reuters on Monday.

Detailed talks between Washington and Ankara on the plans were completed on Sunday, and regional allies including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan, as well as Britain and France may also take part, Cavusoglu said in an interview. "The technical talks have been concluded, yesterday, and soon we will start this operation, comprehensive operations, against Daesh (Islamic State)," he said.

The United States and Turkey plan to provide air cover for what Washington judges to be moderate Syrian rebels as part of the operations, which aim to flush Islamic State from a rectangle of border territory roughly 80-km long, officials familiar with the plans have said. Diplomats say cutting Islamic State's access to the Turkish border, across which it has been able to bring foreign fighters and supplies, could be a game-changer. US jets have already begun air strikes from Turkish bases in advance of the campaign. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we ask that You would oversee this operation. We ask that Your hand of protection be over the Kurds who have aligned themselves with the USA. We ask that Your angels not only protect our jet fighters, but also the Kurds. We pray that ISIS will be defeated and no longer terrorize Iraq. In His Name, we pray. Amen.

- "The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be [a]defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways." (Deuteronomy 28:7)

6. Denver City Council halts Chick-fil-A's airport operation because its owners believe the Bible - Canada Free Press

Forcing you to bake a gay wedding cake is just the start. The gay marriage fascists are pretty resourceful when it comes to using the power of government to enforce their orthodoxy. And by the way, this is one of the less-discussed problems with the perpetual expansion of government into everything.

It makes no difference if all you do is sell chicken sandwiches, which has nothing to do with homosexuality. If you're like Chick-fil-A, and your owners have made it clear they believe the Bible, you're not running concessions at the DIA: Chick-fil-A's reputation as an opponent of same-sex marriage has imperiled the fast-food chain's potential return to Denver International Airport, with several City Council members this week passionately questioning a proposed concession agreement. (Read more)

- Abba Father, once again we repent for legalizing sodomy in the USA. We ask that righteous voices raise up a cry in Denver, CO insisting that Chick-Fil-A's contract be approved at the Denver International Airport. We also ask that the Congress of the United States passes legislation to protect Christian business owners who object to providing services for homosexual unions. Lord, we ask that the 1st Amendment which provides religious freedom have as many proponents as the 2nd Amendment. Abba, we ask for a groundswell of citizens to rise up for our 1st Amendment rights. In His Name we pray, Amen.

- "Now the men of Sodom were wicked [d]exceedingly and sinners against the LORD." (Genesis 13:13)

Judgment or Consequences

The crash of the stock market against the backdrop of Planned Parenthood selling baby parts, the Iran nuclear deal, and the redefinition of marriage has caused many to believe that America is under God's judgment. The recent Daily Jots have tried to explain the difference between judgment and self-inflicted consequences. This has prompted legitimate questions such as: "So you think anything that happens to America from now until the fire falls during the Tribulation is not God's judgment? What about ancient Israel, the destruction of the Temple, their going into exile? That was all due to their disobedience, but did not God orchestrate it all?" Short answer: Israel is an example, but America is not the same as Israel in God's eyes.

My study of the Bible indicates that God went into covenant with Israel. There was a covenant relationship. His prophets warned Israel and Judah of the coming judgments if they did not follow his precepts. And the Lord, as always, was/is true to his word. God has not entered into covenant with America. While my ancestors on the Mayflower, and those at Jamestown, proclaimed covenant with the Lord about this land, it is not the same as God establishing covenant. God's covenants are everlasting. Man's are not. Notwithstanding, 2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." The laws of God are for all mankind.

America's Founders knew "the laws of nature and of nature's God." The laws of our nation are derived from the precepts set forth by God as recorded in the Bible. There is established law as given by God and it began with the Ten Commandments and culminated in what we see in books like Deuteronomy where the statutes and their consequences are given. Now to the question of God's judgment. When we go against God's law as individuals or as nations, there are "just" consequences. Your reap what you sow. If we walk in front of a speeding train, we are going to get hit. Is that God's judgment? While we did not walk circumspectly as God's word tells us, this is not judgment, but consequence of action.

The stock market crash is the consequence of breaking the natural law of stewardship. Murder, covetousness, abominations all have their consequences. God knows the beginning and the end, but gives us free will to choose our way. So between the beginning and the end, we have a lot of headway to decide what happens to us. God does intervene-I have experienced it through prayer, repentance and even seeing His hand of protection--but for the most part, we live our lives-either in obedience or in disobedience; with the appropriate consequences. Ultimately, He judges us righteously. God judges the world/nations in the Day of the Lord and people as in Hebrews 9:27, "...it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." Modern prophetic declarations of judgment make for good storylines, but are not necessarily accurate.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Chinese President Coming to DC

Chinese President Coming to DC:

Cancel The Dinner

Chinese President Xi Jinping is coming to Washington next month for a state visit. Part of that trip will involve an official state dinner at the White House.

If we had a president who understood that the world's thugs are constantly taking the measure of America's strength, or lack thereof, he would either cancel the invitation or send a very clear message about how he handled the visit.

For example, Obama could bring the Chinese leader in through the back door, past the White House trash, the same way he did to the Dali Lama. He could not provide a state dinner, leave Xi and go upstairs to have dinner with his family like he reportedly did to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. He could cancel the state visit entirely.
Obama could and should do these things because China is pressing us on multiple fronts. Beijing is responsible for massive cyberattacks against the government. China is constantly probing industrial centers and the computers running our infrastructure.

China is aggressively expanding its territory in the South China Sea, threatening other Asian nations and doing next to nothing to rein in its Stalinist ally, North Korea. A formal state visit under these circumstances sends all the wrong messages to China and to our allies. (Gary Bauer)

Sharing the Burden for the Lost

Sharing the Burden for the Lost:

A One-Hour Seminar, repeated twice next week for the Glory of God

Dear Friends,

As each day draws us nearer to the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, the burden to reach the lost for Him is becoming more and more intense.

As we have sought the Lord to respond to this call, we have felt led to offer a brief presentation, led by one of our own Prayer Partners, who has gained insight in recent months that will give us specific tools for evangelism.
Our presenter is a homeschooling grandmother from Texas, Patti Kelleher, who has gained wisdom from our Lord in reaching the lost for Christ. She will share her insights with us in two, one-hour sessions next week. These sessions will be repeated (the same teaching both times) with the time and conference number given below. Time will be provided for questions and answers at the end of each teaching.

Come join us as we discover together ways to engage this lost generation - so caught up now with the lies of secular humanism - in a meaningful dialogue . . . leading them to Christ!

Dates of this seminar:

[One seminar . . . repeated twice . . .]

Tuesday, September 1st at 8:00 p.m. (evening session)

Friday, September 4th, at 2:00 p.m. (daytime session)
Conference Number:
(712) - 432 - 0075

Access Code:
412850#

We welcome all of you to join us for this one-hour presentation and we encourage you all to welcome others to join us on these calls.

Our Grandmothers' Songs

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER!

"I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened." (Revelation 20:12)

We offer this hymn again today in tribute to the citizens of Dexter, Georgia, and their Laurens High School Marching Band. In defiance of a court ruling, they moved to play "Amazing Grace," instead of "How Great Thou Art." The entire audience in the stadium also recited The Lord's Prayer together.

We quote now from an article on Fox News, reporting on this news . . . which is also being published by Breaking Christian News:

If Americans United wants to ban "Amazing Grace"-so be it. There are plenty more songs in the hymnal-songs like "All Hail the Power of Jesus Name" and "When the Roll is Called up Yonder I'll be There."

Finally, a word of advice to the. . . hymn-hating culprit who caused this kerfuffle. I sincerely doubt that our Lord appreciates you picking on a bunch of teenagers. So knock it off. Otherwise, when the roll is called up yonder-you may not be there.
AMEN!

Lyrics

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.

Refrain

When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there.

About the Author:

Words & Music: James M. Black, 1893

About the Hymn:

Black, a Methodist Sunday school teacher in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was calling roll one day for a youth meeting. Young Bessie, daughter of a drunkard, did not show up, and he was disappointed at her failure to appear. Black made a comment to the effect, "Well, I trust when the roll is called up yonder, she'll be there." He tried to respond with an appropriate song, but could not find one in his song book:

This lack of a fitting song caused me both sorrow and disappointment. An inner voice seemed to say, "Why don't you write one?" I put away the thought. As I opened the gate on my way home, the same thought came again so strongly that tears filled my eyes. I entered the house and sat down at the piano. The words came to me effortlessly. The tune came the same way-I dared not change a single note or word.
This song was sung in the Academy award winning movie Sergeant York (1941).

A Spectacular Display of Auroras over the South Pole

Even without the impact of a CME, Earth's magnetic field was unsettled enough on Aug. 24th to create a spectacular display of auroras over the south pole. Liu Yang sends this picture from the China's Zhongshan Station in Antarctica.

"A giant green spiral expanded from north to south, which is always seen at the polar boundary of the auroral belt," says Yang. "It was a strong display."

The source of the display was a solar wind stream, which has been buffeting Earth's magnetic field ahead of the incoming CMEs. (SpaceWeather.com)

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea." (Luke 21:25)

Jerusalem Discovery: Wealthy Ancient Homes That May Have Housed Temple Priests in Jesus' Day

(Israel)-An archaeological team from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte has "dug up pay dirt" as they've finished their 2015 excavations of ancient Jerusalem on Mount Zion.

"The early remains that we thought were badly preserved turned out to be extremely well preserved," said archaeologist Shimon Gibson, "with houses, palatial houses dating back 2,000 years."

As reported in Popular Archaeology, along with other discoveries in their dig-including a plastered cistern, a stepped and plastered ritual bathing pool, a barrel-vaulted ceiling, a chamber containing three bread ovens, Early Roman pottery, lamps, stone vessels, murex shells, coins, Roman Tenth Legion stamped roof tiles, and what appeared to be a relatively rare and well-preserved, plastered bathtub-archaeologists Gibson and James Tabor suggest that what they have found was once a very wealthy neighborhood.

Given the site's proximity to the location of the Herodian-built Second Temple known from the time of Jesus, they add that it could possibly have belonged to a community that included priests who served at the Temple.
