1. Romney: Ahmadinejad is 'voice of unspeakable evil' - Times of Israel

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney spoke out against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday, calling the Iranian president a "voice of unspeakable evil."

His comment came a day after the Iranian president, in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, said Israel had "no roots" in the Middle East, and that the Israelis "represent minimal disturbances that come into the picture and are then eliminated," and following comments from senior Iranian military officers threatening war with Israel.

- Heavenly Father, we bind the spirit of anti-semitism, and all its hatred and violence coming from the mouth of this Iranian President. We are grieved at the lack of rebuke from the rest of the Muslim world. We pray supernatural protection over the valid nation of Israel against the extreme enemies they face daily. In Jesus' name!

2. House members push Obama to prevent Ahmadinejad UN speech
on Yom Kippur - The Hill

A bipartisan group of House members put forward a resolution that calls on the Obama administration to pressure the United Nations to prevent Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from addressing the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday (today), which is Yom Kippur.

" An outspoken, anti-Semitic Iranian leader should not be given the opportunity to criticize a Jewish person's right to freely practice religion or denounce Israel's right to exist on the largest international stage," reads the resolution, which was introduced by Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) and is co-sponsored by a bipartisan group of 14 House members.

While the resolution calls on the U.S. to try to prevent the speech, its main intent is to condemn Ahmadinejad and Iran's other leaders for addressing the U.N. on Yom Kippur. It says Iran's president has threatened both the U.S. and Israel, called for Israel to be "wiped off the map" and denied the Holocaust.

" It would not only be offensive, but insensitive for the United Nations to allow Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to address the General Assembly at all, let alone on the holiest of all Jewish holidays, Yom Kippur, after making such vicious statements towards world Jewry and the State of Israel," it reads.

- Lord, we ask Your blessing on the members of the House who made this public resolution. We pray those who stand with Israel will prosper, and make a difference in all Your eternal purposes, in Jesus name.

- " The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, 'Destroy!' Then Israel shall dwell in safety. " (Deuteronomy 33:27,28)

3. '60 Minutes' interview causes headache for White House - Fox News

President Obama, in agreeing to a lengthy interview with "60 Minutes," may have created his own "bump in the road." The president was facing heavy criticism from Republicans Monday for, in the course of that interview, referring to Middle East unrest as "bumps in the road," conceding "mistakes" in campaign ads and appearing to dismiss concern about Iran's nuclear program as "noise."

- Lord, we pray the American voters will see and understand the steadily revealed ideology of our president. We pray that our Commander in Chief's inaction - while acts of war continue against our Embassies and our Ambassador was tortured and assassinated - will be noted by America. Let America recall the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand that sparked WWII, so America may comprehend the vital seriousness of what is happening in the Middle East! God, give this nation wisdom and a spiritual awakening, in Jesus name!

4. NYC schools give out morning-after pills to students
-- without telling parents - NY Post

The Department of Education is giving morning-after pills and other birth-control drugs to students at 13 high schools, The Post has learned.

School nurse offices stocked with the contraceptives can dispense "Plan B" emergency contraception and other oral or injectable birth control to girls without telling their parents - unless parents opt out after getting a school informational letter about the new program. An average 1 to 2 percent of parents at each school have returned the opt-out sheets, said DOH spokeswoman Alexandra Waldhorn. (Other parents complain they never received an "opt out" sheet)

About 28 percent of city students entering ninth grade have already had sex, and more than half are sexually active before completing high school, according to city data.

"We can't give out a Tylenol without a doctor's order," said a school staffer. "Why should we give out hormonal preparations with far more serious possible side effects, such as blood clots and hypertension?"

- Lord, we repent over this sickening news! We pray that You will raise up powerful groups of parents - especially believers - to combat these horrible death-inducing policies which kill babies in the womb, threaten the well being of the students taking these drugs, and teach the young to by-pass the council and confidentiality of their own parents! We bind every official who promotes these ungodly policies in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray protection over the youth from those who prey upon them. May all such policies come to a speedy end in great disgrace, in Jesus' name!

5. Chick-fil-A CEO Denies Giving 'Concessions' to Open Chicago Restaurant - ABC

Chick fil-A has "made no concessions" regarding its support of groups that oppose gay marriage, company CEO Dan Cathy said in a statement that was posted online by Mike Huckabee, denying a statement by a Chicago alderman that the company said it would reevaluate its policies in the face of a move by city officials to bar Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant there.

"Chick-fil-A made no such concessions, and we remain true to who we are and who we have been," Cathy said in the statement. "There continues to be erroneous implications in the media that Chick-fil-A changed our practices and priorities in order to obtain permission for a new restaurant in Chicago. That is incorrect."

"Chick-fil-A supports programs and marriage retreats to help strengthen and enrich marriages. More than 4,000 couples benefit annually from these programs, including military personnel and sports coaches that received scholarships."

Previously the company's WinShape Foundation gave money to groups like the Family Research Council and the Alliance Defense Fund - donations that rekindled a firestorm among pro-gay groups. The Southern Poverty Law Center classifies the Family Research Council as a "hate group," as displayed on the group's "hate map." Moreno raised the stakes last month when he threatened to block the construction of a Chick -fil-A restaurant, a move that prompted Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to side with Moreno, declaring that "Chick-fil-A's values are not Chicago's values."

- Lord, we thank You for Chik-fil-A's public stand for Biblical marriage. We thank You for all those who supported Chik-fil-A last summer in order to affirm this company's policy. We pray that you give CEO Dan Cathy strength and wisdom against the brazen attacks against his Christian beliefs. We pray that You uniquely prosper all those companies that stand for righteousness, In Jesus' name!

1. Israel comes to a halt for Yom Kippur - Haaretz

Israel came to a virtual standstill at sundown Tuesday as Jews began observing the start of the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, the 25 hours of fasting and contemplation known as Yom Kippur. Israel's security establishment and emergency services have been put on high alert Tuesday ahead of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.

2. Syrian rebels bomb security building in Damascus - Yahoo

Syrian insurgents detonated bombs at a building occupied by pro-government militias in Damascus on Tuesday and France called for U.N. protection of rebel-held areas to help end Syria's bloodshed and rights abuses.

3. Egypt paper launches campaign against Prophet Muhammad cartoons - BBC

An Egyptian newspaper has launched a campaign against the obscene cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad published by the French magazine, Charlie Hebdo. Al-Watan, a secular daily, published 13 cartoons on Monday under the slogan "Fight cartoons with cartoons". One shows a pair of glasses through which the burning World Trade Center is seen, with the caption: "Western glasses for the Islamic world".

	Obama Declares Future

President Obama Declares The Future Must Not Belong to Practicing Christians

In his speech to the United Nations General Assembly today the President of the United States declared that the future does not belong to practicing Christians. Already, the media and the left are in full denial, probably based on their general lack of understanding of theology. This would have been a gaffe had Mitt Romney said it. But with Barack Obama, he's just speaking bold truths. His bold truth declares that the future does not belong to practicing Christians. Pay careful attention to what he says.

The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied. Let us condemn incitement against Sufi Muslims, and Shiite pilgrims. It is time to heed the words of Gandhi: "Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit." Together, we must work towards a world where we are strengthened by our differences, and not defined by them. That is what America embodies, and that is the vision we will support.
Now, that's the full paragraph so no one can claim I took him out of context.

But consider this.

It is an orthodox Christian belief that Mohammed is not a prophet. Actual Christians, as opposed to many of the supposed Christians put up by the mainstream media, believe that Christ is the only way to salvation. Believing that is slandering Mohammed. That's just a fact. If you don't believe me, you go into the MIddle East and proclaim Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and see what happens to your life.

Then Barack Obama went on to say "Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied." Note he says we cannot "slander the prophet of Islam" but it's only the image of Christ in the next sentence - not actually Christ himself desecrated. If this is so, why does Barack Obama's government continue funding the National Endowment for the Arts, which has dishonored Christ, and the Virgin Mary in their paintings.

Now, in point of fact, this is a major difference between Islam and Christianity. Christ came to this world as an enemy of the world and expected to be impugned. He also tells his followers that they should expect to be impugned. There is joy in being persecuted for following the Risen Lord. In Islam, if you impugn Mohammed, you get a fatwa on your backside.

And then there is the first amendment. The President of the United States tried to have it both ways in his speech.
I know there are some who ask why we don't just ban such a video. The answer is enshrined in our laws: our Constitution protects the right to practice free speech. Here in the United States, countless publications provoke offense. Like me, the majority of Americans are Christian, and yet we do not ban blasphemy against our most sacred beliefs. Moreover, as President of our country, and Commander-in-Chief of our military, I accept that people are going to call me awful things every day, and I will always defend their right to do so. Americans have fought and died around the globe to protect the right of all people to express their views - even views that we disagree with. We do so not because we support hateful speech, but because our Founders understood that without such protections, the capacity of each individual to express their own views, and practice their own faith, may be threatened. We do so because in a diverse society, efforts to restrict speech can become a tool to silence critics, or oppress minorities. We do so because given the power of faith in our lives, and the passion that religious differences can inflame, the strongest weapon against hateful speech is not repression, it is more speech - the voices of tolerance that rally against bigotry and blasphemy, and lift up the values of understanding and mutual respect. I know that not all countries in this body share this understanding of the protection of free speech. Yet in 2012, at a time when anyone with a cell phone can spread offensive views around the world with the click of a button, the notion that we can control the flow of information is obsolete. The question, then, is how we respond. And on this we must agree: there is no speech that justifies mindless violence.
Just words, Mr. President? You say "there is no speech that justifies mindless violence," but all last week you condemned a ridiculous video trailer for a movie that does not exist. Your government ran advertisements in Pakistan denouncing the video. What of free speech, Mr. President? Last week you were saying the violence was understandable given the offensive film and this week you are trying to claim it was mindless.(Redstate.com)

All you need to know about every swing state that matters

Forget national polls. The presidential race will be decided in a half dozen or so key swing states

Consider yourself lucky if you don't live in one of the seven or eight swing states that will decide the winner of the presidential election in six weeks. You can't turn on the TV or radio here in Virginia, for example, without being bombarded by ads from both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney accusing the other of stretching the truth or outright lying on (name of any issue here). It's hard to tell whether the ads are accurate, of course, and that's where the fact-checkers come in. Then there are fact-checkers checking the fact-checkers, and in the end, few are satisfied.
What's interesting is that despite this tsunami of ads, there is little evidence that it has changed many votes. Different polls bounce up and down, giving supporters on either side something to crow about about, but here's the big picture: The Real Clear Politics average of all polls has never - not once - shown Mitt Romney to be ahead of the president in 2012. They've been tied twice - both instances earlier this month - but the president has since opened up a 3.8-point lead.
The race has been so static, in fact, that the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, with whom I work closely, has kept its electoral college count practically intact for more than a year and a half: If the election were held today, President Obama could count on 237 solid or likely electoral votes, Gov. Romney 206. There has been just one change during all that time - the shifting of Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes from likely Obama to toss-up - but UVA's Kyle Kondik says it will likely shift back to leaning Obama this week. This means, with 42 days to go, Obama would be just 23 electoral votes short of a second term. Romney: 64. (The Week) Read more.

	A Movie Review

CBS Scot Paulsen on "2016: The Movie"

This past week, "2016: The Movie" about President Barack Obama opened in the Chicago area, and I chose to get more of an education about Obama by seeing the movie. After the inundation of canned hype for the movie on conservative talk shows across the Chicago radio dial that sounded more like commercials than honest endorsements of the movie, I was skeptical of what I was going to see.
While some talk show hosts sounded like they were genuinely impressed with the documentary and honestly endorsing the film, there were those who were obviously reading a commercial script which was not coming across as sincere to the regular listener - at least not to this often-skeptical listener. Perhaps, in future promotions of the film, it would be wise to have pre-recorded commercials done by the professional commercial-makers rather than having the likes of Mark Levin and Sean Hannity doing script after script to promote the movie. After all, the listeners aren't stupid and resent any attempt at being conned. After many reads by the talk show hosts, the readings of the commercial script were no more enthusiastic than another Life-Lock commercial read - another commercial that ought to be professionally done.
Yet, I'm glad I saw the hyped-film because it was more informative than I had thought it would be and included less propaganda than I had predicted. If anything, it was nearly too informative as there was an enormous amount of information condensed into the nearly one-hour-and-a-half documentary. Fact after fact is put forth which shows that President Obama definitely has many skeletons in the closet that have not been released prior to the nation's trust in him with the Oval Office.
To watch this movie and realize - or simply be reminded of - all that is unknown about President Obama is of concern. Much of the information has been ignored by the American media totally. When appropriately reminded as to what is still unknown about Obama to date, one has to ask: How can any logical-thinking person give a damn about Romney's taxes while not asking any questions regarding our current President's past? The man influences the entire globe, but liberal Americans want to know how much Mitt Romney paid in taxes in the past rather than learn about the man who they have entrusted with the country. Unbelievable.
The movie undeniably links Obama to persons of suspicious-interest due to their past actions and statements, such as former radical activist and Chicago educator Bill Ayers. While the media and blinded-liberals cast such facts aside, the movie does not. No, this portion of the movie is not propaganda - it is the display of factual information about relationships between people that cannot be denied. Yet, the "left" does deny the facts that are right in front of them.
Quite disturbing is the talk of the United States economy in the film. The current national debt which has increased two-fold during Obama's presidency and the horrendous economy is suggested to be part of the plan to strip the nation of democracy - reasonable cause to make citizens totally dependent on the government. The "left" is aghast at this suggestion of the current economy. They actually believe that Obama is unintelligent enough to let this economy just happen. Ironically, it's many of the people on the "right" who know Obama's not stupid, and much of what has happened to the United States in the past four years is part of Obama's plan.
How could one so-highly educated and intelligent as Obama not know what he was doing when he incurred such debt? I left the movie thinking more strongly than I had in the past that the current debt and this economy was part of Obama's plan all along. Increasingly making Americans dependent on the government is the plan. What's more, he knew his blind followers would believe it was not the plan and, of course, was all Bush's fault.
He must be laughing at his blind followers all the way to the "new America " they're allowing him to create. My belief is that Obama continues to prey on his die-hard followers' stupidity to accomplish his personal goals for America .

The most disturbing part of the film to me was the interview with President Obama's half-brother George Obama from Nairobi , Kenya . How can Obama claim to want to help people when he has done absolutely nothing for his own family? It makes me wonder if he really cares about anybody if he can't find it in his heart to help his own family.

As the closing credits started to role upward across the screen, the audience applauded. Me, I just walked out - reasonably upset.
Those who have already decided to vote for Obama will probably not even see the movie. It's sad but they probably don't want to know the truth when it is laid out so clearly for them in this documentary. The independents who are still deciding who they are going to vote for ought to see this film. I'm quite confident that any undecided voter who sees this film will know who to vote for after viewing this documentary. If you know you're not going to support the "left" in this coming election, see the film out of interest if you like. But, fair warning, it's disturbing - and quite frightening - to say the least.
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive an Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of Idiots such as those who made him their president."

AHMADINEJAD GIVES MOST DETAILED EXPLANATION OF TWELFTH IMAM

Tells U.N. leaders Mahdi will "soon" reign over whole world

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday called for the end of the "hegemonic" powers of the United States and Israel, whom he described as "the uncivilized Zionists." He said the world would "soon" see new "global management" by the Twelfth Imam, also known as the "Mahdi," and his deputy, Jesus Christ.

This was Ahmadinejad's eighth and likely final annual address to the opening fall session of the United Nations General Assembly. He is expected to finish his second term in office in June 2013. In each of his past U.N. speeches, he prayed for the soon coming of the so-called Islamic messiah. This time he went much further, offering his most detailed explanation to date of his Shia Islamic eschatology (End Times theology) and his understanding of the coming rule of the Twelfth Imam.

Ahmadinejad told the leaders of the world gathered in Manhattan that he had come this time "to voice the divine and humanitarian message...to you and to the whole world."
"God Almighty has promised us a man of kindness, a man who loves people and loves absolute justice, a man who is a perfect human being and is named Imam Al-Mahdi, a man who will come in the company of Jesus Christ, peace be upon Him, and the righteous," he said. Calling the Mahdi "the Ultimate Savior," Ahmadinejad said his arrival on earth "will mark a new beginning, a rebirth and a resurrection. It will be the beginning of peace, lasting security and genuine life."

Ahmadinejad said the coming reign of the Twelfth Imam on earth "will bring about an eternally bright future for mankind, not by force or waging wars but through thought awakening and developing kindness in everyone." The Iranian leader did not offer a specific timetable, but he did say the "sweet scent" of the Mahdi's global reign "will soon reach all the territories in Asia, Europe, Africa and the U.S."
Despite his insistence that the Twelfth Imam's reign would come without war, Shia eschatology experts say the opposite is true. Islamic theologians say Muslim political leaders today are supposed to set into motion the annihilation of Judeo-Christian civilization as we know it and create the conditions of chaos and carnage to hasten the arrival of the Twelfth Imam. Then the Mahdi is supposed to turn all these wars and killings to his advantage and establish justice and peace. As I have both described and documented in my books, it is this Shia End Times theology that is driving Iranian foreign policy today. This is why the mullahs in Tehran are working so hard to pursue nuclear weapons and the means to deliver the, to prepare the way for the rise of this Islamic kingdom or caliphate.
On Sunday upon arriving in New York City, in fact, Ahmadinejad wasted no time in announcing that Israel must be "eliminated" from the earth. He dismissed any concern about a possible Israeli preemptive military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. What's more, he also refused to distance himself from - much less disagree with - the statement of a senior Revolutionary Guard commander in Tehran who said earlier that day that for the first time Iran itself was actively considering a preemptive military strike against Israel and an attack on American military bases and personnel, and that a war with Israel could turn into "World War III."
Few world leaders are taking Ahmadinejad's eschatology seriously. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, however, understands it. I've discussed it with him personally. Indeed, it is why he and his senior advisors in Jerusalem are seriously contemplating preemptive military action, to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of Ahmadinejad and men like him who are members of an apocalyptic, genocidal death cult determined to bring about a nuclear holocaust and the End of Days.

Yom Kippur: Davids Tent Visitation!
"Light the lamps and pitch the tents--for this year I tabernacle with My people!"

With this word, God launched us into the great adventure of 2012. Thanks to Jesus and a dreamer named Jason Hershey, we are spending Yom Kippur before God's throne... under a tent at the White House ellipse!
This morning we experienced a visitation--quite literally. A rabbinic Jewish woman ventured into the tent. She had heard we were praying for Israel over Yom Kippur and wanted to see for herself. She honored us by praying to the God of Israel on our behalf. And she brought us to tears by presenting Jason with a Mezuzah, with a rabbinic blessing inscribed. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you! . . .
Just to help you understand this picture. While Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was addressing the UN, a Jewish woman came to Davids Tent. She blessed this work, and then we prayed together for Israel's protection, preservation and advancement!
She then shared something that furthered my stream of tears. This tent is in the very area of the Ellipse where the Jewish rabbis set up the National Menorah for Hanukkah. As our new friend helped us discover... a Lampstand has been set in place for Davids Tent. We didn't just choose the Lampstand. Instead, the Lampstand quite literally has chosen us!
Sobering Thoughts

Of all the places our new friend could visit on Yom Kippur, this Jewish woman came to Davids Tent. Specifically to compel us to pray for Israel. This mandate is your invitation as well.
