"I am the LORD, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me." (Isaiah 45:5)
The Daily Brief
1. White House raises stakes in cybersecurity debate - The Hill
The White House on Thursday issued long-awaited legislative recommendations for fortifying U.S. computer networks in a proposal that notably omitted any talk of a "kill switch" for the Internet. No previous administration had ever released legislative guidance on cybersecurity, which has become a pressing issue now that computer networks have become an essential part of most industries, including transportation and communication.
- Father, we thank You for the wisdom given to the legislators involved in this legislative recommendation that avoids giving total control of the internet to any one individual. We ask that continued moderation and wisdom would be forthcoming for those involved in this debate.
- The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it. (Jer. 17:9)
2. Pakistan paramilitary Shabqadar base bombings 'kill 80' - BBC
80 Dead in Bin Laden "Revenge" Attack - Fox News
Twin bomb attacks on a paramilitary force academy in north-west Pakistan have killed 80 people, police say. At least 120 people were wounded in the blasts at the training centre for the Frontier Constabulary in Shabqadar, Charsadda district. After early suspicions that one of the bombs was planted, police said both blasts were suicide attacks. Taliban bombers kill at least 80 at a paramilitary training center in Pakistan, claiming the attack is the 'first revenge' for the U.S. raid that killed Usama bin Laden.
- Father, we ask that every plot of revenge against the Pakistanis would be brought to the light and exposed before implementation. Father, we ask that those in charge of the attacks would be apprehended. We ask that you would reveal Yourself to the many families affected, and comfort them in their grief.
- To me belongeth vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. (Deut. 32:35)
3. Shin Bet: Egypt turmoil helping arms smuggling to Gaza - Jerusalem Post
Smugglers of arms into the Gaza Strip are operating almost freely after a change of leadership in Egypt, a Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) report released Thursday said. The report said with Egypt's new leaders preoccupied with stabilizing their country, "governance in Sinai is not high and this allows smugglers to operate almost without hindrance.
- Father, we first ask for forgiveness for those so blinded by the enemy that they would work in opposition to You. We ask that you would give them revelation of what they are doing, and of who You and Yeshua truly are. We ask for protection of the land which you gave to Abraham and the people who dwell therein.
Arise, O LORD; save me (Israel), O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongeth to the LORD: thy blessing us upon thy people. Selah. (Ps. 3:7,8)
4. Japan's government approves Tepco compensation scheme - BBC
Japan's government has approved a plan to help Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco) compensate victims of the crisis at its tsunami-crippled nuclear plant. Payouts are expected to run into the tens of billions of dollars over the Fukushima nuclear plant breakdown. The assistance could help Tepco avoid bankruptcy, but the government insisted it was not meant as a bail-out.
- Father, we ask for mercy for the people of Japan and wisdom for those making decisions regarding the repair and rebuilding of the infrastructure of that nation. Precious Father, we also cry out for the hearts and souls of the people in Japan, that you would draw them to You by Your Spirit and that You and Your wisdom would rule in the island nation of Japan.
The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. (Ps. 24:1,2)
5. Syria: Opposition says Assad vows not to fire on rally - BBC
An adviser to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has promised government forces will not fire on protests planned for Friday, an opposition leader says. Louay al-Husein told the BBC he and other opposition leaders had been in talks with adviser Buthaina Shabaan to negotiate an end to the crisis. Reports say tanks and soldiers are already gathering in some cities.
- As of this writing, we do not have an update on this report. Please continue to pray for the safety of all citizens of Syria who are protesting Assad's brutal regime. Offer praise that our Lord's angels are fully equipped to do this task!
- " . . . if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

What is land worth to God?
In Genesis 12:2, 3, the LORD says to Abram, "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." This is the Abrahamic covenant that established the seed of Abraham, eventually to become the nation of Israel. And to this day, those nations that bless Israel receive blessing and those nations that curse Israel are cursed. America has been a nation that supports Israel from its very modern and prophetic establishment on May 14, 1948, but in recent years has fallen away from its traditional support.
The United States for most of its very existence has been a blessed nation. Our abundant freedom as a nation comprised mainly of Christians has led to tremendous advances in technology, food production, economic and military power and the gospel being preached around the world. In the past 10 years, however, America has found itself embroiled in many wars, the worst financial condition in history, devastated by natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornados and floods, and the Islamic war against everything American. These things began in ernest when American presidents such as George W Bush and the current occupier of the White House started talking about carving a Palestinian state out of Israel's land.
This Administration and Congress are the first to actually try to force Israel to divide its land into two pieces, allowing a so-called "Palestinian State." White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee meeting on May 5, 2009, "Israel now faces a moment of truth--it can either acquiesce to international demands and in return have its most serious threats dealt with, or maintain the status quo and have those threats persist." Emanuel was saying that the White House would ignore Iran's nuclear threat, if Israel did not buckle to demands over a Palestinian state. Since then, there has been nothing but extreme pressure placed on Israel to divide its land to terrorists.
The White House is continuing its pressure despite the recent developments where its Palestinian negotiation partner, Fatah, has untied with the terrorist group Hamas to establish a Palestinian state. So long as Americans allow their leaders to come against Israel, there will be increased financial and natural disasters cursing America. People ask what of the Islamic countries, they do not appear cursed. Try living under the bondage and poverty of Sharia law and then determine what is a curse. In Joel 3:2, the Lord says, "I will also gather all nations...and will pronounce sentence on them there for my people and my heritage Israel, whom they scattered among the nations, and divided my land." O how the deeds of men bring destruction to nations.

Israel on Alert (Part One)
Israel braces for 'Nakba Day
The Israeli Defense Forces is boosting up its forces as the nation is bracing for possible violence within and without the old Green Line. The army is preparing for various scenarios, including extreme violence, despite estimations that Palestinian security forces will aim to keep tensions low. "Several IDF regiments will be joining units already in place, in case Palestinian rallies turn violent and prompt dangerous friction with Israeli forces and settlers.
"Israel Police officials are also preparing for the possibility of Arab Israelis joining the protests and resorting to violence within the Green Line. Police officers fear that planned rallies and marches will turn into mass riots."
"As opposed to previous years, the Palestinians have been calling for civil disobedience both in the West Bank and outside Israel, in states sharing a border with the Jewish state. The trend got underway with the launch of a Face book page urging the Palestinians to embark on a third Intifada on May 15. Elsewhere online, several groups are organizing with the aims of reaching Israel's borders. One such initiative is being organized by the Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt with university students expected to depart from Cairo Friday en route to the Gaza Strip border."
"Tuesday evening, May 10th some 15,000 Arab Israelis took part in a 'Nakba Day rally in the western Galilee region. The event was attended by Arab Knesset members and senior Islamic Movement figures. "Participants held up Palestinian flags and signs with anti-occupation slogans. Cities within Israel's Green Line, including Kfar Saba, and Petach Tikva (one of the first cities to be founded in Israel on land bought legally from Arabs), just north of Tel Aviv, were also declared as "occupied." The rally also endorsed the recent Hamas-Fatah unity deal." (www.Ynetnews.com )
A call for Prayer
We as believers in the land are asking for your help. Please pray against the "old hatred" that threatens to consume this land once more. Be like the praisers that Jehoshaphat sent into battle. When they began to "sing and praise" the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab and mount Seir. This is an hour to ask God to "set ambushments against" those who would seek to mass against Israel's borders and do violence against its citizens
As we gathered to pray today, I saw the enemies of Israel, gathering their women together and using them as shields, to cross over the borders of this land. I saw "a terrible army of Islamic women" marching from Gaza city towards Israel, protecting their warrior men behind them. In such a case, the IDF would be extremely reluctant to stop unarmed women from crossing its borders. Pray the LORD would place a barrier in the spirit or in the natural to prevent such an outpouring (an angel with a sword in his hand halted Balaam's donkey: Num. 22:31)
Pray against the "nakba" spirit which threatens to consume the people of Palestine. Pray that the IDF exercises wisdom in stopping these demonstrations. Pray that any violence against Israel be quenched. Pray that the strategies and maneuvers of those planning these demonstrations be uncovered and stopped. Pray for the safety of those who live in Israel.
"Turn off the heat"
As we prayed I saw in my "spirit", a temperature dial on the face of an oven, then a hand reaching out to turn off the heat." Pray that the LORD God would quench the "heat" of this "nakba." Pray that the PA's and Hamas' fires of anger and violence would be stopped.
"Take a Minute"
I also saw a picture of a American revolutionary "minuteman." These early colonial militia were required to be ready for warfare in one minute. Be like these "minutemen" in your prayers for Israel. Take a minute during your day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pray one minute in each hour of your day if you can for Israel or when the Spirit directs. Remember the LORD's advice to Jehoshaphat be not afraid nor dismayed: "for the battle is not yours but God's" (II Chr.20:15).

ISRAEL ON ALERT:
Prayer Requests from Intercessors for Israel
Throughout the Arab/Islamic world, there is a call to hatred this weekend. May 15th is the anniversary of the birth of the modern State of Israel 63 years ago. Arabs call it the Nakhba, the Catastrophe. Sermons in mosques today are aimed to stir up anger and hate against Israel. And this Sunday is when hordes of Arabs are supposed to march on Israel's borders. This very serious situation could be a watershed weekend prophetically. We prayed into this in several ways.
A. Proclamations from God's Word concerning this nation and her end time resurrection.
"And the LORD said unto Abram . . . Lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are north, and south, east, and west, for all the land which you see, will I give to you and to your seed forever . . .Arise, walk through the land . . . for I will give it unto you. Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt . . . in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD."(Genesis 13:14-18)
" . . . when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between the pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates."(Genesis 15:17-18)
This verse is part of this Shabbat's Torah reading:
"The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me." (Leviticus 25:23)
"Abba, we proclaim that this is Your land that You have given to Your people - for Your glory!" (Ezekiel 36:23, 32; Malachi 1:5)
Jeremiah 32:41 is the only time in His Word where God says He will do something with all of His heart and His soul. It is written: "Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with My whole heart and with My whole soul."
Some other verses we read out and proclaimed were Jeremiah 31:10; Joel 3:1-2; and the two warnings of Isaiah 60:12 and Zechariah 12:9.
B. We asked God to turn the curse coming from the Spirit of Islam this weekend into a blessing. "Nevertheless the LORD your God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing unto you, because the LORD your God loved you."(Deuteronomy 23:5)
" . . . however our God turned the curse into a blessing." (Nehemiah 13:2)
Lord, since the curse will be that Israel has no right to this land, and since that is a lie, we declare that a curse without cause shall not have any effect. (Proverbs 26:2)
In obedience to Matthew 5:44, we bless the Moslems who will curse us. Abba, bless them with a revelation of the only One who truly loves them and died for them - the King of Israel!
Lord, somehow, discourage most Palestinians from joining any demonstrations.
May this Nakhba day be turned into a nakhba for those who desire Israel's demise (Psalm 38:8).
C. Obviously, this creates for Israel a security challenge of immense proportions.
Captain of the hosts of the Lord, please speak to all of the current Joshua's in the IDF on how to defend this nation during this weekend (Joshua 5:13-6:5)
Impart Your strategy and tactics. (2 Samuel 5:24-25) We trust You to defend that which You are doing in restoring this nation. (Psalm 121:4)
Give much wisdom, courage and encouragement to Israel's modern day warriors.
We bless You that there are more with us than with our enemies. Open up many eyes to see that truth. (2 Kings 6:16-17)
Block all press reports that will be distorted or outright lies.
Enable Israel to use unique and effective crowd control.
There is forecasted a wet, windy weekend. Abba, we remind You that You said, Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? Or have you seen the treasures of the hail, which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? (Job 38:22-23) Please release those treasures this weekend! Fewer Abortion Clinics Likely Means More Babies
Three abortion clinics in Philadelphia were shuttered last year over failed inspections. Two abortion clinics in Delaware that closed this year are likely to stay that way. And without government funding, Planned Parenthood of Indiana has said it may be forced to close 13 of its clinics. Life advocates are celebrating, because with fewer abortion clinics and fewer dollars going to Planned Parenthood, it's likely that fewer babies will be aborted.
The Pennsylvania House voted 148-43 on Wednesday to regulate abortion clinics as outpatient surgery centers. HB 574 now moves to the Senate, which is also controlled by Republicans.
The bill comes in response to the "House of Horrors," one of three Philadelphia abortion clinics that were shut down last year when the state began inspecting all of its abortion clinics -- something that hadn't been done in more than 15 years.
The "House of Horrors" owner, abortionist Kermit Gosnell, remains jailed on eight murder charges. Prosecutors say he killed babies who survived late-term abortions, and at least one woman. Two Delaware clinics tied to Gosnell also have closed.
Pennsylvania Rep. Margo Davidson, a pro-abortion Democrat, testified that her cousin died at the hands of Gosnell. "I've listened to the debate of House Bill 574, sometimes with tears in my eyes," she said. "Mr. Speaker, I respect the sanctity of life, and I respect the sanctity of life of women. I am supporting House Bill 574 on behalf of my cousin, who was killed at the Gosnell clinic."
Yet, Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union continue to fight the legislation.
"They don't want these kinds of safety regulations on abortion clinics because they want abortion to have special protections," said Michael Geer, president of the Pennsylvania Family Council. "That just exposes the upside-down world of Planned Parenthood, where they think that creating stronger health and safety regulations for abortion clinics somehow makes it more dangerous for women. "The dangerous thing is to allow groups like Planned Parenthood to continue to have free rein and get taxpayer dollars."
In Indiana, a 2-day-old law has stopped the flow of taxpayer money to the state's 28 Planned Parenthood clinics. An attorney for the nation's largest abortion seller said it may be forced to close 13 of those.
Gov. Mitch Daniels has reassured women that "non-abortion services, whether family planning or basic women's health, will remain readily available in every one of our 92 counties."
The state's Family and Social Services Administration has confirmed the governor's statement.

Hatikva at Bergen-Belsen
This weekend, as Moslems positioned all around the borders of Israel prepare to engage in a third intifada, we say NEVER AGAIN will there be another Holocaust of the Jewish people. Israel is a nation carved out by the very Hand of God, who Himself will fight for her existence!
In rare and moving footage dated to April 20th 1945, inmates at Bergen Belsen Concentration Camp sing the anthem of hope 'Hatikva.' -- now the national anthem of Israel. These precious survivors simply wanted the world to hear their voices, and as we hear their voices, it is difficult to hold back our tears.
Praise God for Israel, the apple of His eye! Pray for the PEACE of Jerusalem. Amen.

Amen.
