" . . . the ruler of this world has been judged. " (John 16:11)
The Daily Brief
1. Rep. Michelle Bachman Proposes Plan to Help New Members of Congress - Ed Moore Report
One of the concerns conservatives and Tea Party types have expressed is the fear that newly elected Senators and Congressmen (and women) will be compromised by the status-quo pressures of the DC bubble-world. Such pressures would come from establishment leaders and powerful money interests who recently backed moderate GOP candidates over Tea Party winners. To counter this, Congresswomen Michele Bachmann, (who is now seeking a leadership role in the House) announced plans for the formation of a new Constitutional Conservative Caucus, which will seek to provide a welcoming orientation and solid information for new members of Congress.
Learn more.
• Everyone applaud Rep. Bachman (R-MN) for her concern that the new members know the Constitution and that they are able to withstand pressures from the status-quo and the rare air here in Washington's power. The enemy of man will try to gain control over innocence any way he can. Congressmen of faith in Jesus Christ have been known to lapse into his clutches. Praying for your Senators and Congressmen is so very important. Most of the new members will not realize that they each need a prayer shield around them as they move throughout each day. Please pray that Rep. Bachman's proposal is met with great favor and that it is established without obstacles. Pray for her protection and constant clarity of mind.
• "By Me, kings reign, and princes decree justice." (Proverbs 8:15)
2. Obama blames poor communication for elections rout - AP
In the wake of this week's Midterm elections in the United States, President Barack Obama acknowledged that he has not been able to successfully promote his economic-rescue message to anxious Americans. In an interview with CBS television, Obama said that he has not blamed his policies for the loss, but rather a lack of communication with the American people. The US president said that he has "stopped paying attention" to the leadership style he displayed during his run for the presidency.
• There is a difference between intelligence and wisdom, and our president seems to lack the latter. Americans do not like his policies and the ever-diminishing of liberties under his administration. Pray that he will look not in the mirror for his style of leadership but listen to the voice of the people. We heard his voice but rejected his thinking! Ask the Holy Spirit to awaken him to be able to grasp what Americans desire for our nation!
• " I exhort, therefore, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men. For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." ( Timothy 2:1,2)
3. The Food Crisis of 2011 - Forbes
Here's what's happened to some key farm commodities so far in 2010, * Corn: Up 63% * Wheat: Up 84% * Soybeans: Up 24% * Sugar: Up 55% What was a slow and steady increase much of the year has gone into overdrive since late summer. Blame it on two factors: many countries, including Russia with failed crops, especially wheat, and Depart. Of Agriculture cutting back on corm crops.
• The USA has been blessed for many years with outstanding crops, and a world-wide failure would mean that we would have to feed the world. Forbes recommends that we invest in food commodities. However, that move is between you and the Lord. Please pray over the nutritional virtue of our soil and the purity of our air and rain. Pray for the farmers so that they do not have to sell their land to any government. Those of you who live in farming areas may want to drive out to bless the land.
• "In all labor there is profit: but the talk of the lips tends only to penury." (Proverbs 14:23)
4. UN calls for higher taxes to fund climate warning fight - ABC News
A top UN panel has called for increased taxes on carbon emissions and air and sea transport to raise 100 billion dollars a year to combat climate change. The group led by the prime ministers of Norway and Ethiopia also proposed a tax on international financial transactions for a fund to help poorer nations counter the impact of the warming planet.
• Why is the UN calling for climate change tax when we know that the whole environment 'problem' is a fraud as revealed last summer? Don't people in Norway and Ethiopia read the news, or is this call for taxes another ploy to pull down the economy of the USA? That we are to be good stewards of the earth is clear in Genesis, but we are to use the earth - not abuse it. Pray against this proposal at the UN. Pray fervently for godly men to represent their countries at the UN. This call smacks of money for the 'new world order."
• "And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth" (Genesis 1:26)
5. Obama announces $10bn India deals - BBC News
Obama has announced $10bn in new trade deals with India. He was speaking in Mumbai at the start of a 10-day Asian tour designed to boost US exports and create jobs. Obama also announced an easing of US export controls and rejected caricatures of India as a nation of "call centers."
• We won't know the details of this agreement until it is published, but please pray that no hidden agendas are included that will be harmful to the USA and our economy. Continue to pray for the president's safety as he travels throughout Asia, and ask the Lord to keep him free from any attacks. Pray also for Michelle Obama's safety. The Indian people did not respond well to the arrogance of the British when they ruled India, and now our prayer needs to include supplication that no American arrogance will be a cause of offense, either.
• "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that can be ordained of God." (Romans 13:1)
6. US seeks to expand military presence in Asia - BBC News
US Defense Secretary Robert Gates has said the US wants a larger military presence in Asia. On his way to Australia for annual security talks, Mr Gates said closer ties with Australia would help the US expand its role in South East Asia. The US would focus on fighting piracy, improving counter-terrorism, disaster aid and cyber-security, he said.
• Secretary Gates may have a good idea, for Australia has always been a good friend with the USA and certainly holds our western values. The only caution is that the USA cannot have its forces spread so thinly throughout the world. Pray that these talks will reflect the wisdom of the Lord, not just the thinking of man, even the well-intentioned. Pray that the talks will be published by American media so that the citizenry here can know the facts.
• "For I, the Lord thy God, will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, 'Fear not; I will help thee." (Isaiah 41:11)
7.Pence waiting until New Year's for 2012 decision - The Hill
Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), a top GOP leader in the House, said he will decide after Jan. 1 whether to run for president. Pence announced last week he would not seek re-election as chairman of the House Republican Conference, prompting speculation he may be considering a run for president.
Asked on ABC's "This Week" whether he would run, Pence said: "Well, look, we've been very humbled by the encouragement we've received back in Indiana and around the country, and after the first of the year, we'll make a decision." In a straw poll at the socially conservative Values Voter Summit earlier this year, Pence came on top of a list of potential Republican nominees in 2012.
- Lift up this mighty man of God and legislator of integrity, that he will know the will of God for his future plans in the days ahead. The decisions that await Mike Pence are critical for his family, and for our nation. Praise God that, as he seeks Him, God will hear, and He will answer!
- "Then shall you call upon me, and you shall go and pray unto me, and I will hear you". (Jeremiah 29:11)

1. First US Targeted Assassination in Gaza Pre-Empts Next Al Qaeda Offensive - DEBKAfile
Missile struck Al Qaeda operative's car in Gaza. A missile fired from an American warship in the Mediterranean killed Muhammad Jamal A-Namnam, 27, in Gaza City Wednesday, Nov. 3, debkafile's exclusive counter-terror sources report. Namnam was an operational commander of the Army of Islam, Al-Qaeda's Palestinian cell in the Gaza Strip. He was on a mission for Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula - AQAP to plan, organize and execute the next wave of terrorist attacks on US targets after the air package bomb plot - in Sinai.

• Whoever gave the order to fire at the car did a good deed for America. We would rather see the man saved in Jesus Christ, but unfortunately he died in his sins, plotting the deaths of Americans. Please pray for his family to find Jesus and be comforted in their salvation. Pray that the citizens of Gaza will soon be freed from the bondage of al-Qaeda and Hamas. Surprisingly Christians are getting into Gaza to work with the people there. Pray for their protection. Pray also that people like Namnam see this killing as a warning.
• "When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell." (Psalm 27:2)
2. Islamic Extremists Murder Christians in Iraq - Revive Israel Update
Islamic terrorists connected to Al Qaida stormed a Catholic Church in Baghdad, killing 58 innocent people, included the vibrant youth pastor, Waseem. Another 80 people were injured. The group that claimed responsibility for the attack now dares that they will kill all Christians anywhere.
3. Church Building Set on Fire in Jerusalem - Revive Israel Update
By Jack Sarah (dear friend and pastor of East Jerusalem Alliance Church)
On Friday morning at 1:00 AM we reported a fire to the Jerusalem police and fire department, which erupted in our church property on Prophets Street 55. Ten persons visiting the Holy Land were sleeping in the church facilities at the time. Within 20 minutes emergency personnel arrived to fight the fire. . . After receiving timely medical care for smoke inhalation, the 10 visitors were released at 5:00 AM in reasonably good health. The police gave us no clue of who would be the persons behind the fire, but did confirm that it was arson.
4. UNESCO Declares Holy Sites in Israel to be Muslim - Revive Israel Update
The United Nations body in charge of preserving historical sites decided last week to redefine Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem and the Patriarchs Cave in Hebron as Palestinian mosques (Muslim). Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the decision, "an absurd attempt to cut Israel off from its heritage. If the places where the fathers and mothers of the Jewish nation (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Leah and Rachel) were buried some 4000 years ago are not part of the Jewish heritage, then what is?"
5. UNESCO Decision Foretold in Scripture - Revive Israel Update
Interestingly the UNESCO decision came during the week that religious Jews read the Torah portion where Abraham insists on paying full price for the Machpelah cave - 400 shekels (Genesis 23). I suppose the Holy Spirit knew ahead of time that the purchase would be contested, and so had it recorded in the Bible two to three thousand years before Islam began. In a similar passage, King David insisted in paying full price for the threshing floor of Ornan - 600 shekels (I Chronicles 21). There the Temple in Jerusalem was built. In yet another parallel passage, God demanded of Jeremiah to buy the field of Anathoth for full price, seal the documents and set witnesses (Jeremiah 32). That area is located in the disputed Judea-Samaria-West Bank territories. These three locations: Hebron, Jerusalem and the West Bank are the three most hotly disputed areas today in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and in International political-religious debate. The deeds and purchase of all three locations are recorded in the Bible; a fact which can only be explained by the sovereignty and foreknowledge of God. When those events took place thousands of years ago, He already knew what would happen today.
The Daily Jot
The sin of prideful leaders and its prophetic reproach to America
It took several days for the White House to respond to allegations that the president was spending some $200 million a day on his trip to India and Korea with his wife and daughters. The response by Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was: "I'm not going to go into how much it costs to protect the Obama. Costs are comparable to when President Clinton and when President Bush traveled abroad." He was questioned several more times on the cost, but would not go any further than to deny that the trip cost $200 million a day. I have been to Mumbai, and I know that the president is working hard. It would take a lot of hard work to spend $2 million a day in Mumbai let alone $200 million.
Press pictures show he and the first lady disco dancing at a high school and the first lady "showing off her Bollywood moves" as the press reported it at Mumbai University. The press is also showing a lot of tourist-type of shots in front of many of the post card venues in the ancient city. And like here in the United States, the president in India has resulted in a lot of unemployment. The UK Daily Mail reports that taxi drivers, fishermen and street vendors have been shut down for nearly a week. One taxi driver was quoted by the paper as saying, "First of all I was excited the American president was coming to my city, but now I request him to leave us as soon as possible so that we could earn our bread and butter."
Unemployment in the United States is about 10 percent. The national debt is $13.7 trillion. The share of the national debt for each man, woman and child in the United States is $44, 398. The American dream of owning a home is becoming a nightmare. Home ownership is at its lowest levels since 1999 and about three million fewer Americans own homes now compared to 2005 when home ownership peaked, according to the Census Bureau. According to CNN, one in every 139 homeowners received a foreclosure notice in July, August and September, reaching nearly a million foreclosure filings in the third quarter. These are levels never seen before in US history.
The point that I am making is that whether the president and his 3,000 person entourage is spending $20 million a day or $200 million a day on a trip to India and Korea, its too much and unnecessary. Even more disgusting is seeing pictures and news clips of the president and his wife whooping it up Bollywood-style when there is so much suffering going on in America, and in India for that matter. They are not king and queen of America. They are responsible to We the People. Proverbs 16:18 says, "Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Trouble is, we are all impacted by this arrogance in that Proverbs 14:13 says, "Righteousness exalts a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people."

Reports of Over 500 Lives Saved!
It's Day 40-and I have great news to share! As of right now, we know of 541 babies, and their mothers, that God has spared from abortion. That's at least 3,352 since the first coordinated 40 Days for Life campaign a mere three years ago. And who knows how many more that we'll never hear about?
"The Everett Planned Parenthood is closed again," wrote Ed, one of the local 40 Days for Life leaders in Everett, Washington. "It's the third Friday closed this campaign!"
"Abortion will truly be finished one day," said one spokesperson. "I pray it is very soon. The walls of deception are crumbling as we speak. The truth is spreading-one heart at a time-and all of you have played a part in getting that message out. Thank you all so very much!"
