1. Mullen: North Korean Attack Tied to Leadership Succession - Fox News

North Korea's attack on a South Korean island appears to be tied to the leadership succession, a top U.S. military official said Wednesday, as the elderly and frail Kim Jong Il prepares to hand control of his regime to his son. Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in an interview on "The View" that Kim is generating these kinds of high-profile and dangerous confrontations to coincide with the ascension of his 27-year-old son to power.

Mullen said the United States is working with its South Korean and Japanese allies and also looking to China to exert its influence. The State Department said Wednesday that the administration wants China to restrain the North from further provocative acts. Spokesman P.J. Crowley, calling China "pivotal," said U.S. diplomats sent the message to Chinese officials in Washington and Beijing that the country has to make clear to Pyongyang that its actions are not acceptable. Read more.

- We trust that all of our CHPP Prayer Warriors understand the dynamics of generational curses. Using the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and applying the Blood of the Lamb, sever the ties between "father and son" in North Korea, setting captives free.

- "But the LORD is righteous; he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked." (Psalm 129:4)

2. U.S. Sends Aircraft Carrier for Joint Exercises With South Korea After Deadly Attack - Fox News

A U.S. aircraft carrier strike group set off for Korean waters Wednesday after President Obama pledged America would stand "shoulder to shoulder" with South Korea and stage joint military exercises in response to what the White House branded a provocative, outrageous attack by North Korea on its neighbor.

Obama called South Korean President Lee Myung-bak Tuesday night, saying the U.S. would work with the international community to strongly condemn the attack that killed the two South Koreans and injured many more. The White House said the two presidents agreed to hold combined military exercises and enhanced training in the days ahead to continue the close security cooperation between the two countries.

The nuclear-powered USS George Washington carrier strike group, which carries 75 warplanes and has a crew of over 6,000, left a naval base south of Tokyo and will join exercises with South Korea from Sunday to the following Wednesday, U.S. officials in Seoul told Reuters. "This exercise is defensive in nature," U.S. Forces Korea said in a statement. "While planned well before yesterday's unprovoked artillery attack, it demonstrates the strength of the ROK (South Korea)-U.S. alliance and our commitment to regional stability through deterrence." Read more.

- Just as our nation is now joining our allies in South Korea in bringing together a "show of force" against the aggressive actions of North Korea, we, too, must demonstrate a true "show of force" where it really counts -- confronting and tearing down the principalities and the powers that are fomenting this evil work through the leaders of North Korea. Take up the Sword of the Spirit, bind the spirit of insanity that afflicts NK President Kim Jong Il, and ask God to set this captive free, in Jesus' name. His Word does not return void!

- "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds . . ." (2 Corinthians 10:4)

3. Key to Restraining North Korea? U.S. Officials Say it's China - CNN

Pressure from China would be key to getting North Korea to change its behavior, the top U.S. military official said Wednesday. "I believe that it's really important that Beijing lead here," Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in an interview to air Sunday on CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS." He added, "I've believed for some time that probably the country that can influence North Korea the most is clearly China."

China, Mullen said, has much at stake in stopping North Korea's leader Kim Jong Il from taking more provocative actions. "It destabilizes the region, and China has as much to lose as anybody in that region with the continuation of this kind of behavior and what the potential might be," he said. Read more.

- It seems to be a sad state of affairs when the United States, in attempting to stand "shoulder to shoulder" with our South Korean ally in this region, needs to turn to the largest Communist regime on earth to make this happen. Pray for great wisdom for all in the Obama administration as they seek to resolve this crisis. Pray that each one will "give up" on trying to figure this out for himself, but will instead yield to the One who holds All Authority in His Hand . . . and all wisdom, too.

- "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye." (Psalm 32:8)

4. World edgy on Korea, Russia sees "colossal danger" - Reuters

Major powers expressed concern or alarm at North Korea's shelling of a South Korean island on Monday.

- God, hold back the evil powers working in North Korea. May they never see victory but only defeat. Call out the people who will turn from their wicked way unto the living God and save them from destruction that is sure to come upon those who turn away from God to serve the forces of darkness. In Jesus Name.

- "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungobly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." (Jude 14-15)

5. N.Korea enrichment "worst nightmare" for U.S. intel - Reuters

North Korea's surprise disclosure of an ultra-modern uranium enrichment facility is raising fresh questions about the ability of U.S. intelligence to penetrate one of the world's most reclusive states.

- God, walk among those in the United States intelligence groups and impart divine strategies and wisdom that can come from You only. Bring the hidden out of the darkness that nothing go off the radar screen. Reveal what is going on. In Jesus Name.

- "For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He puts down one, and sets up another." (Psalm 75:6-7)

5. Obama's UN Officials Silent on Nine Anti-Israel Resolutions

1. US Intelligence Declares START Treaty Unverifiable - Washington Times

With Obama rushing to push through the START treaty before the Senate becomes decisively more Republican on January first, more and more information is leaking out showing the treaty as bad for the United States. Eli Lake of the Washington Times has discovered that Senator Christopher Bond of Missouri is now opposing ratification because of a classified intelligence report stating that Russian compliance with the treaty elements is unverifiable and that Moscow is manipulating the treaty to prevent the U.S. from expanding missile defenses. Read more.

- Father God, we speak death and utter defeat to this START Treaty. Nullify, cancel and scatter those who are attempting to push this forward. Break their grip that they cannot hold it together and cause it to fall from their hands as though trying to hold to a cloud. In Jesus Name.

- "Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine." (Job 17:5)

2. Americans want 'Israeli' airport security - Ynet News

A debate over just that issue has been running at full steam over the past few days due to profound public criticism of invasive security techniques which include a full body search and pat down in intimate areas.

- Father, give American security practices top-rated techniques that will do the most efficient job without being offensive. Impart to them godly wisdom today so it can be implemented speedily. In Jesus Name.

- "At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel." (Isaiah 17:7)

3. CALM IN THE STORM: Scanner Protest Fails to Take Off - Fox News

Lines move smoothly at airports around the country despite an Internet campaign to get Thanksgiving travelers to gum up the works on one of the busiest days of the year by refusing full-body scans.

- As time goes on, our people will probably find more effective ways to protest this sudden violation of our civil liberties, but in the meantime, let's offer our own prayer of Thanksgiving that, today, America's airports are calm. With 42 million travelers on the road and/or in the air today (or by train), please continue to intercede for journeying mercies for all.

- " . . . if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

4. India Hindu Militants Attack Punjab Church - Worthy News

A major evangelical group has urged the government of India's Punjab state to protect minority Christians after Hindu militants allegedly attacked a church and injured at least one Christian, Worthy News has learned.

- Father, call forth angels from heaven to stand guard over these Christians that they may become stronger and their testimony more powerful as the Word of God breaks the grip of Hinduism off the people in India's Punjab state. Save their souls that they see in vision the power of Jesus and repent of their sins and turn to God. In Jesus Name.

- "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (II Corinthians 3:17)

5. Obama's UN Officials Silent on Nine Anti-Israel Resolutions - Israel National News

The United Nations Human Rights Council this month adopted nine resolutions against Israel. The United States opposed nothing. The Council, engaged in a "universal periodic review" of human rights protection in Lebanon, was examining a report by that country which expressed its objections to "the establishment of the Zionist entity on Palestinian territory."

- God, all of this rhetoric is man's senseless words which have no influence or affect on Israel. The Lord God in heaven holds Israel in the hollow of His hands in complete safety and protection from the world views and any attempts to destroy Israel. May Israel bend their knees to God Almighty in repentance and turn to Him with all their heart, mind, soul, body and spirit. In Jesus Name.

- "And the God that has caused His Name to dwell in Jerusalem destroy all kings and people that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem." (Ezra 6:12)

2. Israel to PA: Reject 'findings' on claims to Kotel - Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's spokesman Mark Regev called on the Palestinian leadership Tuesday to publicly disassociate itself from the Palestinian Authority "study" denying Jewish claims to the Western Wall, saying "this is not the sort of statement to be expected from a partner in peace."

3. Netanyahu has no choice but to freeze East Jerusalem building - Ha'aretz

The Daily Jot

The Prophetic implications of the waking giant of militant China

On November 9 there was a mysterious contrail off the coast of California. The federal government denied that it was a missile contrail, but could not give any details as to what caused the inexplicable event that was caught on film. Since then, there are military experts who speculate that it was a missile launched from a stealth Chinese submarine intended to send the United States a message. Nobody in the government is refuting this theory. The silence is almost deafening. What is not being said is that America's foremost trading partner is an enemy. And the message is: America, we hold nearly a trillion dollars of your debt. Do not mistake our investments as acceptance of an ally.

Each year the Congress requires the Pentagon to give a military assessment of China. It is strongly evident that over the decade since the report is annually issued, there is a direct correlation between the US trade deficit with China and the Chinese military build up. For example, the US-Chinese trade deficit in 2006 was around $350 billion. The Chinese military expenditures estimated by the Pentagon in 2006 were around $125 billion. The Chinese could not build their military at such a pace without the US as a trading partner. The reports have become increasingly concerned with the technology advances China is making, especially for computer espionage and unmanned military drones.

The latest report of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission says missiles fired from the Chinese mainland could destroy five of the six major US air bases in the Far East, adding opposite Taiwan, China's missile force has reached 1,600. The report says that Beijing is also building rockets, submarines and surface fleets to extend her dominance out to the third chain of islands, enabling the People's Liberation Army to strike US carriers and bases as far away as Guam. China also has been at odds with the US over currency. China refuses to benchmark its currency off the world standards. Instead, China is warning that the US is causing a worldwide economic meltdown.

Revelation 9 speaks of the sixth trumpet which loosed the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates that would slay a third part of men. Verse 16 says, "And the number of the army of the horsemen where two hundred thousand thousand." That is 200 million. The drying up of the Euphrates would allow the assembly of armies from Iran, China, Russia, Turkey, Korea and all the places of the East. Standing armies in those places total about 18 million, but their populations could easily conscript 200 million. And today we have North Korea attacking South Korea and China mum on the subject while China is sending messages to America that she intends to contest the global currency and western military.

China, Russia quit dollar

Reported by China Daily

St. Petersburg, Russia - China and Russia have decided to renounce the US dollar and resort to using their own currencies for bilateral trade, Premier Wen Jiabao and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin announced late on Tuesday.

Chinese experts said the move reflected closer relations between Beijing and Moscow and is not aimed at challenging the dollar, but to protect their domestic economies.

"About trade settlement, we have decided to use our own currencies," Putin said at a joint news conference with Wen in St. Petersburg.

The two countries were accustomed to using other currencies, especially the dollar, for bilateral trade. Since the financial crisis, however, high-ranking officials on both sides began to explore other possibilities.

The yuan has now started trading against the Russian rouble in the Chinese interbank market, while the renminbi will soon be allowed to trade against the rouble in Russia, Putin said.

"That has forged an important step in bilateral trade and it is a result of the consolidated financial systems of world countries," Putin said.

- Are we within days or weeks or months of the full change over . . . our "Rubles" (our American dollars) worth nothing? If you have money to pay off your property or someone else's property, is now the time to move ahead immediately? Will it be after the "holiday shopping" ends?

Urgent in that light to know this . . . for yourself . . . only days left to get that paid off in dollars-- perhaps.

- Also in light of ths report today, ask the LORD to give you wisdom for your own household in the days ahead. He will be faithful to take you by the hand and to show you the way to go . . . Amen.

Another Pastor on Trial

Pastor on trial for witnessing to Moslems

A pastor in Wichita, Kansas, headed to court on Friday to defend himself against charges involving his efforts to witness for Christ outside a cult mosque.

Pastor Mark Holick says the incident in late August occurred as members of the Islamic Society of Wichita were marking the holy month of Ramadan. Police were called when Islamists witnessed Holick and 13 others handing out packets that included the Gospel of John, the Book of Romans in English and Arabic, and a DVD with testimonies of former Muslims who have converted to Christianity.

Holick claims he was basically ignored by the arresting officer. "I asked him, 'What am I being charged with?' -- and he wouldn't answer me," the pastor tells OneNewsNow. "And I asked him a second time and I asked him a third time . . . and neither time would he even respond to me."

The Kansas pastor, who was ultimately charged with loitering and failure to disperse, is no stranger to controversy. In 2009 he won a $10,000 judgment after the City of Wichita admitted it had violated his civil rights when he was arrested for witnessing on a public city sidewalk during a homosexual event at a nearby park.

"It's really good for Christians to see what has really happened to our court system," he shares, "because if you haven't gone through it before, you really have no idea what it has become. But I think it's going to be good at trial, regardless of the verdict."

Holick, pastor at Spirit One Christian Center, defended himself before the Sedgwick County Municipal Court. (OneNewsNow)

The Good News Corner

Healing Miracle in Racine, Wisconsin, this past week

[Note: This is a real story. It just happened in the Racine Assembly of God this past week. Submitted by one of our prayer partners in Racine.]

On Sunday Nov 14th the Pastor and congregation prayed for Sammy, 10 years old, who was scheduled to have open heart surgery the following Tuesday, Nov 16th.

The Doctors had said he would be in ICU for at least 3 days and in the hospital for 3 weeks, maybe longer. Sammy insisted that he needed to be baptized prior to the surgery.

Since the baptismal in the sanctuary is presently covered up with the Singing Christmas Tree pagaent props the Children's pastor did the next best thing.

She brought in a wading pool from her home and filled it to do the baptism on the platform of Childrens Church.

Both Sammy and his twin brother Benny were baptized.

As he came up out of the water Sammy told his mom later that "his heart felt hot".

When they went for the scans to make sure where to make the cuts for this complicated procedure the Doctors said "there is nothing wrong, it's like he has a new heart".

Sammy says he can breathe and move - it's like he has "a new life".

When the family came back in front of the congregation this past Sunday Nov 21 the we were wild with excitement to hear the news.

The mother further shared that when the twins were born there were complications and she was told they would not live more than 24 hours.

But God has a big plan for these brothers and this family. Giving God praise in Racine.

PRAISE THE LORD FOR THIS THANKSGIVING MIRACLE!!

George Washington's Proclamation

Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789

President George Washington

WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me "to recommend to the people of the United States a DAY OF PUBLIC THANKSGIVING and PRAYER, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:"

NOW THEREFORE, I do recommend and assign THURSDAY, the TWENTY-SIXTH DAY of NOVEMBER next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed;- for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish Constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted;- for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge;- and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also, that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; - to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness unto us); and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

GIVEN under my hand, at the city of New York, the third day of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine.

Thanksgiving Medley

Beautiful Thanksgiving Medley with lyrics.
We gather together
to ask the Lord's blessing,
He chastens and hastens
His will to make known.

The wicked oppressing
now cease from distressing
Sing praises to His Name
He forgets not His own

Beside us to guide us,
Our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining
His kingdom divine;

So from the beginning
The fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, wast at our side;
All glory be Thine!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
