Focus on Israel

1. Saudi Cabinet reaffirms support for Palestine - Arab News

ALKHOBAR: The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by King Salman at Al-Aziziya Palace in Alkhobar, on Tuesday reiterated the Kingdom's stance on the Palestinian cause, stating that it would remain on top of the Kingdom's agenda.

It also reiterated its rejection of any action that would violate Syria's sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and the importance of reaching a political solution to the Syrian crisis.

The Cabinet was also briefed on the results of King Salman's official visit to Tunisia, his talks with President Beji Caid Essbsi on bilateral cooperation between the two nations, and the positive outcome of the 30th Arab "Summit of Determination and Solidarity."

2. Report: Progress towards agreement with Hamas - Israel National News

The Palestine Today website, which is affiliated with the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, reported on Tuesday that a meeting between Hamas leaders and representatives of the Egyptian security delegation held on Monday was positive, and that progress has been made in the understandings towards a truce agreement with Israel.

Palestinian Arab sources told the site that the UN and Qatar are expected to announce new development projects in the Gaza Strip soon, including in the field electricity.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said on Tuesday that the Egyptian delegation had received three demands regarding the security prisoners being held in Israeli jails.

3. Netanyahu to meet Putin in Moscow five days before elections - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to Moscow for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin later this week, his office announced on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister's Office did not provide further details about the meeting, which is set to take place Thursday in the Kremlin - five days before Israel's Knesset elections. Russia confirmed the meeting.

"An agreement has been reached that on April 4 Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will fly to Moscow for a brief working visit. On April 4 such brief working talks will be held and the sides will synchronize their watches," according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

4. Poll: Netanyahu's Likud Overtakes Gantz's Kahol Lavan; Labor Surges to 14 Seats - HAARETZ

A new poll published by Israel's Channel 13 Tuesday night predicted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party would overtake his rival Benny Gantz's Kahol Lavan.

According to the poll, Likud would get 29 Knesset seats if elections were held today, whereas the political alliance headed by Gantz would get 28 seats.

Another surprise revealed by the poll was the ascent of the Labor party, which is projected to receive 14 Knesset seats.

5. Likud To Be Investigated For 'Move To The Right' Campaign- Jerusalem Post

The chairman of the Elections Committee, Supreme Court Justice Hanan Meltzer, announced a criminal investigation against the Likud party to determine if its Move to the Right campaign broke any election laws. The ruling party of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces fines for the campaign that seeks to drum up support for not just their own party but other right-wing parties.

According to a report published by Maariv, the decision came after a petition by the left-wing Labor Party and Attorney Shahar Ben-Meir, who alleged that the Likud headquarters is being used to finance and run Move to the Right, which has published online videos and other material urging voters to vote for any of the parties considered right-wing, including Likud, the New Right, the Union of Right-Wing Parties and others.

Move to the Right, called "Zazim Yemina" in Hebrew is led by senior Likud activist Mordechai Benita, who argued Tuesday that all the activities and funding taking place at Likud headquarters were part of the Likud election campaign and broke no laws, Maariv explained.

1. Trump makes April First Step Act Month, aiming to boost prisoner rehabilitation efforts - FoxNews

President Trump designated April as First Step Act Month, which includes cutting prison sentences for thousands of federal inmates, at a ceremony Monday. He said he wanted to follow up on criminal justice reform with efforts helping federal inmates find jobs after they leave prison. "We're a nation that believes in redemption," the president said, noting Americans with criminal backgrounds are unemployed at rates up to five times the national average, which stood at 3.8 percent in February. "You're gonna have an incredible future," he added to the former inmates. He said a "Second Step Act" will focus on "successful re-entry and reduced unemployment for Americans with past criminal records." His goal is to cut that unemployment rate for ex-prisoners to single digits within five years. The White House said Trump's budget proposed over $500 million to help prisoners succeed after they're released. (Read more)

- Father, we pray each of these former inmates will embrace redemption and live out the bright future You have planned for them. Is it too much to ask, Lord, that revival in our nation will start with them?

- Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me. (Psalm 142:7)

2. 34 Percent of People at Trump's Michigan Rally Were Democrats - Epoch Times

More than a third of the crowd at President Donald Trump's recent campaign-style rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, consisted of Democrats, according to 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale. He said they were able to calculate data from the Michigan rally because they required all participants to register with their cell phone number, which they then linked to the voter file to "know exactly how they voted in the past." The Michigan rally was the first such event since special counsel Robert Mueller wrapped up his nearly two-year investigation. Trump's opening rally of the year in El Paso, Texas, drew an even higher percentage of Democrats, at 50 percent-more than any of the president's campaign events since the 2016 election. Trump's 2020 voter map is looking good, Parscale said. "I think Minnesota is in play, I think New Hampshire's in play, I think New Mexico's in play, I think Nevada is back in play," he said. "I think the president is in a very good position in 2020 to open up the map."(Read more)

- Thank-you Lord that both parties are competing for the votes of the people. We pray this increased activism will lead to a more accountable and responsive government.

- Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. (1 Corinthians 9:25)

3. Sanders hauls in eye-popping $18.2M in first quarter - The Hill

Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) presidential campaign raised $18.2 million in the first quarter of 2019, his advisers said Tuesday, a massive sum that is likely to put the progressive firebrand among the top fundraisers of the early 2020 Democratic primary season. The fundraising numbers put Sanders's total haul for the quarter at $32 million, including $14 million that the senator had in other accounts to start with. Shakir said that the campaign finished the first quarter of 2019 with $28 million in cash on hand. The first-quarter haul sets up Sanders's campaign to expand its operations in key early-voting states, said Jeff Weaver, a senior adviser to Sanders. He said that the campaign would add more staffers to its operation in Iowa and would begin staffing up in California in the coming weeks, as well. "These resources are going to allow us to compete on all levels in all of the Super Tuesday states," Weaver said in a conference call, referring to the day in 2020 when eight states hold primary contest. (Read more)

- Father, we pray whoever wins the Democrat primary will be the man or woman of Your choosing and for Your purposes.

- But I pray to you, Lord, in the time of your favor; in your great love, O God, answer me with your sure salvation. (Psalm 69:13)

4. NSA Whistleblower: Page FISA Warrant Likely a Gateway to Spy on Entire Trump Campaign - Breitbart

The Obama-era FISA warrant obtained to monitor the communications of Carter Page was most likely utilized as a gateway to spy on the rest of Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, contended William Binney, a former highly placed NSA official turned whistleblower. "That's why they want to hide the FISA request and all of the justification and affidavits that they filed to obtain it." The same warrant against Page technically could also have been used to legally justify collecting data on the Republican National Committee (RNC) or the leadership of the Republican Party, Binney said. Binney was an architect of the NSA's surveillance program. Stated Binney: "If you get a warrant on say Carter Page and for example he has a call or an email to the Republican National Committee or anybody in the Trump campaign, that warrant then allows them to go out two degrees from the RNC to everybody associated with the RNC and from anyone from the Trump campaign to anyone they are associated with." (Read more)

- Father, we pray everything related to this FISA warrant will be revealed to the public. We also ask You, Lord, to expose those areas of corruption that are currently hidden.

- Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. (Proverbs 26:26)

5. Democrats Demand Full Mueller Report without Redactions, Threatening Subpoenas - CBN News

On Wednesday, House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler and House Democrats plan to compel Attorney General William Barr to release documents after setting today as a deadline to see Robert Mueller's findings and evidence. "As I have made clear, Congress requires the full and complete Special Counsel report, without redactions, as well as access to the underlying evidence," Nadler said in a statement. The House Judiciary Committee is planning to authorize subpoenas to obtain the full and complete Robert Mueller report, along with all evidence gathered during the Russia-Trump investigation. Barr is insisting the committee and the public will only see a redacted version of the report before the middle of April. In addition to demanding the full Mueller report, House Democrats have opened a wide range of investigations into Trump's business dealings before winning the White House, his foreign financial interests, questions of whether he obstructed justice, and other aspects of his presidency. (Read more)
- Father God, we pray in agreement with the Democrats for the Mueller report to be released in its' entirety.

- Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

6. Federal appeals court rules prisoners have no right to sex reassignment surgery - Washington Times

A transgender prisoner says she'll pursue her fight to have Texas pay for gender reassignment surgery after suffering a loss at the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. A lawyer for Vanessa Lynn Gibson, born as Scott Lynn Gibson, says she'll ask the full 5th Circuit to rehear the case after a three-judge panel upheld the state's policy that denies funding for the reassignment surgery. The state will cover hormone and mental health care treatment. In a 2-1 ruling published Friday, the court said refusing to facilitate the surgery does not constitute cruel and unusual punishment as defined by the Eighth Amendment. "Under established precedent, it can be cruel and unusual punishment to deny essential medical care to an inmate. But that does not mean prisons must provide whatever care an inmate wants," wrote Judge James C. Ho, a Trump-appointee, in the 23-page opinion. Attorney General Ken Paxton said the ruling was a victory for Texas taxpayers. "Americans strongly believe in the legal and moral obligation to assure our criminal justice system imposes appropriate and humane penalties, but the 5th Circuit's faithful analysis of the Constitution makes clear that obligation does not give convicted criminals a constitutional right to a taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgery," Mr. Paxton said. (Read more)
- Father, thank You for this righteous ruling. We pray the women throughout our prison systems will be protected from biological males who claim to be female.

- Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. (Psalm 41:1)

7. GOP moves to force House vote on infanticide bill - Washington Examiner

Republican House leaders on Tuesday launched a petition to bypass Democratic leaders and force a floor vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which clarifies that doctors must provide medical care to babies that have survived abortions or else face criminal charges. Scalise hopes to collect at least 100 signatures on Tuesday but will need 218 signatures - a simple majority - to force a vote on the floor. The names of those who have signed onto the bill will be updated and posted online every day. "They cannot hide from anyone else, they have to take a position," said Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. He added that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders refused to bring the legislation to the floor even though Republicans had asked 25 times. (Read more)
- Father, we pray each House member will go on the record so that the voters will know where they truly stand on protecting full-term babies.

- They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has done this. (Psalm 22:31)

8. Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna Calls for Bipartisan Coalition to Work with Trump on Ending Foreign Wars: 'I Think We're All on the Same Team' As Americans - Breitbart

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), a progressive Democrat who is the co-chairman of the 2020 Democrat presidential campaign for Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview that he hopes a bipartisan coalition comes together to work with President Donald Trump to end a number of wars and U.S. military conflicts worldwide. Ro Khanna argued that if the United States stops its backing of Saudi Arabia in Yemen's civil war, finally ends the war in Afghanistan, withdraws troops from Syria once and for all, resists temptations by some to get militarily involved in Venezuela, and completes successful peace negotiations with North Korea, then the United States could better invest resources wasted abroad into rebuilding America's infrastructure. Instead of all the trillions of dollars that we have spent on these wars, imagine if we built our infrastructure, if we invested in our people, if we helped build our country to make sure that we win in the 21st century. I think that is a message that every American regardless of whether you voted for President Trump or whether you voted for a Democratic member of Congress can get behind because it's for the national purpose and when it comes to winning in the 21st century I think we're all on the same team. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for a functional government and more bipartisanship such as this outreach from Representative Khanna.

- Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. (James 3:18)

9. Woman arrested at Mar-a-Lago with Chinese passports, malware-infected thumb drive - Washington Examiner

A Chinese woman appeared in federal court Monday after being arrested over the weekend for trying to enter Mar-a-Lago carrying a thumb drive containing malware. Yujing Zhang, 32, was charged with making false statements to a federal officer and entering or remaining in a restricted building, according to a report from the Palm Beach Post. At around noon on Saturday, while President Trump was at the resort, Zhang allegedly approached a U.S. Secret Service checkpoint saying she wanted to use the Mar-a-Lago pool. Zhang produced two Chinese passports as proof of her identity and was let in by the manager who thought she was related to one of the resort's members. But after Zhang entered, her story changed. When she arrived at the reception desk, Zhang said she was at Mar-a-Lago to attend a "United Nations Chinese American Association Event." Federal agents were notified of her presence because no such event was planned. The Secret Service say they seized a laptop computer from Zhang in addition to four cell phones and the thumb drive, which was found to contain malicious malware. (Read more)
- Father, thank-You for alerting Federal agents before this woman could cause any harm. We pray You will reveal all plans to harm President Trump, his family, former Presidents and their families, and our national security.

- For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11)

10. U.S. [Muslim Brotherhood] Supporters Lobby Congress for Third Straight Year - IPT

Muslim Brotherhood supporters from the New York-New Jersey area lobbied members of Congress Monday to ask them to pressure Egypt about its execution of political opponents. The event piggybacked on a broader Muslim Advocacy Day organized by the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations. The USCMO is an umbrella organization that includes the major American Islamist organizations including the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslim American Society, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) among others. A delegation organized by Egyptian Americans for Freedom and Justice (EAFJ) visited the offices of New York Democrats Hakeem Jeffries, Paul Tonko, and Nita Lowey, along with Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Jan Shakowsky, D-Ill. and Rick Allen, R-Ga. They also visited the Democratic-controlled House Foreign Affairs Committee office. EAFJ was created by Muslim Brotherhood supporters in the United States following the Egyptian military's 2013 ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi. Its aim is to restore the Muslim Brotherhood to power in Egypt. EAFJ members present themselves as human rights supporters in public while privately supporting terrorist acts and concealing them in Arabic-language Facebook posts. (Read more)

- Father, we pray our leaders will be vigilant and informed regarding the motives behind these lobbying efforts from Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups.

- The enemy will not deceive him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
(Psalm 89:22)

Boston U study reveals gun ban lies

A study of gun control laws in the 50 states conducted by researchers at Harvard and Boston Universities indicated that neither assault weapons nor handguns owned by homeowners increase homicide rates. The study analyzed the relationship between 10 state firearm laws and total, age-adjusted (firearm) homicide and suicide rates from 1991-2016, which included 1,222 observations of homicide analysis. The author of the study, Michael Siegel, professor of community health sciences at Boston University, told futurity.org in an interview that "tight regulation of who has access to firearms, rather than the type of firearms that are allowed, differentiates states with the lowest rates of homicides."

The study indicated that that universal background checks were associated with a 14.9% reduction in overall homicide rates. Laws that prohibit violent crime convicts from possessing firearms showed an 18% reduction in homicide rates. Siegel told futurity.org, "What surprised us the most was that in states that enacted a combination of universal background-check laws, laws prohibiting the sale of guns to people with violent misdemeanors, and concealed carry permit laws, the homicide rates were 35 percent lower than in states with none of those three kinds of laws. The practice of keeping guns out of the hands of people who are at the greatest risk for violence-based on a history of violence-appears to be the most closely associated with decreased rates of firearm homicide."

Siegel said, "Laws regulating the sale of assault weapons are unlikely to have a large impact on homicide rates, because these weapons are used in only a very small proportion of homicides. The vast majority of firearm homicides in the United States are committed with handguns. About 99.9 percent of all [gun-related deaths] in the United States are either suicides, unintentional shootings, or non-mass shooting homicides-non of which will be eliminated by getting rid of assault weapons. In contrast, laws that restrict access to firearms among those people who are at the greatest risk for violence-namely, people with a history of violence-are intervening among a subpopulation of people who are likely to commit crimes."

This flies in the face of the neo-communist narrative that guns must be banned and the US population disarmed to stop mass murders and other homicides. Yet, they keep beating the drum of disarmament. For example, Breitbart News reports that Democratic presidential candidate Corey Booker (D-NJ) at a recent town hall meeting claimed that "We have in America, in the aggregate, a mass shooting every day, because dozens of people are shot and killed." Disarming America makes the communist coup easier, and that's why they lie about guns. The study shows that it is the character of the person using the gun, not the gun itself, who is the problem. As Christ said in Matthew 7:17, "Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit." Criminal character and lying politicians are both fruit of corrupt trees.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Lori Lightfoot wins Chicago mayoral race,
to become city's first black woman mayor

Former federal prosecutor Lori Lightfoot was elected Chicago mayor on Tuesday, becoming the first black woman and first openly gay person to lead the nation's third-largest city.

She emerged as the surprising leader in the first round of voting in February when 14 candidates were on the ballot to succeed Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who decided against running for a third term.
Lightfoot promised to rid City Hall of corruption and help low-income and working-class people she said had been "left behind and ignored" by Chicago's political ruling class. It was a message that resonated with voters weary of political scandal and insider deals, and who said the city's leaders for too long have invested in downtown at the expense of neighborhoods.

Chicago will become the largest U.S. city to elect a black woman as mayor when Lightfoot is sworn in May 20. She will join seven other black women currently serving as mayors in major U.S. cities, including Atlanta and New Orleans. (Fox News) Read more.

- Father God, Chicago needs prayer, and Chicago needs a blessing. She has fallen so far from her history as the home of the Moody Bible Institute and the home of great evangelists (like Charles Moody and Ira Sankey) who set the world ablaze for you many years ago.

We pray that this election will indeed signal a whole new beginning for this beleaguered city - an era free of corruption and crime. We take note, too, that Ms. Lightfoot is an openly gay (homosexual) woman. We pray for her soul, in Your name, amen.

"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (I Timothy 2:1-4)

Fifty Christians Burned Alive in Pastor's Home in Nigeria - The Christian Post

As the attacks on Nigeria's Christians continued in full force this past week, a particularly grisly attack saw fifty believers burned to death at their pastor's home, where they had fled for refuge from a terrorist attack.

Reports disclosed that over 100 people were killed by armed terrorists this past week, who went on a 12-village killing spree in Nigeria's Plateau state. Islamic extremist group Boko Haram has once again taken responsibility for the assaults.

"Fifty of our church members were killed in the church building where they had fled to take refuge. They were killed alongside the wife of the pastor and children," said the Rev. Dachollom Datiri, vice president of the Church of Christ in Nigeria, in a July 11 interview.

Officials from the church confirmed that over 100 members were killed through various villages in Nigeria, which included Maseh, Ninchah, Kakkuruk, Kuzen, Negon, Pwabiduk, Kai, Ngyo, Kura Falls, Dogo, Kufang, and Ruk.

"Nigeria is truly becoming the new killing field for Christians. Hundreds of Christians have already been brutally murdered - including women and children - by the Boko Haram," said Open Doors, USA spokesman Jerry Dykst. "The Boko Haram earlier this week said that all Christians need to turn to Islam or 'they would never know peace again.' Their goal is make all of Nigeria a country run and dominated by Shariah law."
Some Nigerian security officials have claimed that Muslim Fulani tribesmen, who populate the Plateau State, could have aided Boko Haram in their bid to get rid of Christians from the North and establish Islamic dominance over all of Nigeria.

"I don't think that Boko Haram could, out of nowhere, have raided these villages. They couldn't do that without local support and collaboration," said Nigerian criminal justice consultant Innocent Chukwuma.

"Attacks on Christian villages are not new in Plateau State, as Fulani tribesmen are known to have raided Christian communities in the past," further explained Heritage Foundation Africa analyst Morgan Roach. "Should Boko Haram be responsible, this would deviate from its past tactics, which have tended to be more sophisticated," he added. (Christian Post) Read more.
- Oh, Lord God! It is so hard for us in America to read of the suffering of these saints in Nigeria, and elsewhere throughout the world, over which we recoil in horror. Help us, O Lord, to know HOW to pray for the surviving remnant in Nigeria, that they may know Your peace, and be strengthened to STAND in this evil day.

Father God, we understand that an appeal has already been made to the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee for the U.S to officially declare Boko Haram a terrorist organization that the international community needs to battle against. We ask that the wind of the Spirit would now blow across that Committee, causing them to come to attention and do the work needed to protect our brothers and sisters in Nigeria. In Your Name, Abba, we pray, amen.

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Rev. 12:11)

Classic Hymns

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)

Lyrics

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He'll take and shield you;
You will find a solace there.
Blessèd Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded
There will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.

Signs and Wonders

APRIL IS THE BEST MONTH FOR ZODIACAL LIGHTS

Tonight, when the sun does down and the glow of sunset fades away, another glow may take its place--the Zodiacal Light. It stretches upward from the western horizon forming a pale luminous triangle visible from places with exceptionally dark skies. Satu Juvonen photographed the phenomenon from eastern Finland:
"I drove to the Russian border, an uninhabited region where there is a really dark sky," says Juvonen. "There I witnessed the brightest Zodiacal LIght I have ever seen."

When you see the Zodiacal Light, you've seen the backbone of our solar system. Zodiacal Light is sunlight reflected from interplanetary dust. The pale glow traces the dusty plane through which all planets orbit, known to astronomers as the ecliptic plane. April is a good month to see Zodiacal Light because the ecliptic plane juts over the evening horizon almost vertically.

Because Zodiacal Light is faint, moonlight easily overwhelms it. Nights around the New Moon favor their visibility. With the next New Moon due on April 5th, now is a great time to look.

Despite Threats from Hollywood, Georgia PASSES the Fetal Heartbeat Bill

[ChristianHeadlines.com] Last week, lawmakers in Georgia passed H.B. 481-one of the most restrictive abortion bills in the country-despite threats from Hollywood and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The bill bans abortions after a heartbeat is detected, which is typically around the 6th week of pregnancy.

As Christian Headlines previously reported, Hollywood was not supportive of the bill. "[H.B. 481] would make Georgia an inhospitable place for those in the film industry to work, including our members," a statement from the Writer's Guild of America explained. Nearly 50 TV and film stars also signed a letter to the governor, threatening to no longer work in the state should the bill pass. Several major movies and TV shows have been produced and filmed in Georgia. . .

. . .However, lawmakers were not deterred. The bill passed 92 to 78, according to CNN. Women were previously allowed to abort up until 20 weeks of their pregnancy
