4. Today's Prayer for the First One Hundred Days
January 26 - Revitalizing Business and the Economy

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" (Jeremiah 29:11; NIV)

The United States' economy continues to be one of the strongest in the world. However, it was shaken hard in 2007-2008 and it has not fully recovered yet-10 years later. Government statistics have been adjusted to make it appear that we have fully recovered and that the jobless rate is low, but that is not quite the truth. Many middle-aged workers were forced out of the job-market prematurely. Many young workers struggle to find any kind of meaningful employment, especially in the inner cities. American companies fled to foreign shores and America needs them back. Trade agreements have been entered into that benefit other nations over this nation. They need to be adjusted to benefit all parties without harming the domestic economy.

Prayer Points:

Pray for a full recovery of the economy of the United States of America.

Ask the Lord for His creativity to be poured out on the people He has placed across many industries. Ask Him to give them witty inventions and ideas. Pray that the government works with business, with just enough regulation to keep the public safe, while allowing maximum economic benefit from the release of these inventions.

Pray for supernatural answers to tough economic problems, such as how to end generational poverty and how to bring American factories back to our shores, putting American workers back to work.

Intercede for trade agreements to be quickly renegotiated in such a manner that every nation is a winner. Pray that the nations of the earth become partners with one another, as opposed to one nation lording over another, or stronger nations taking on a paternalistic role with another, limiting their ability to fully mature economically.

6. White House Press Briefings

[The following note was submitted by one of our Prayer Partners]
I have been overwhelmed with all the stuff that President Trump is getting done too, so to help keep it straight in my mind, I have been watching the White House press conference every day. The White House started a YouTube channel, so all President Trump's speeches and announcements plus the daily press conference are there.

The press conference, run by (the new Press Secretary), Sean Spicer, is pretty entertaining. He opens with a statement that tells everything the President is doing that day: which executive orders he signed, which heads of state he spoke with, what meetings were held that he attended, and other details. I like hearing a clear list of what's going on.

Next Spicer starts calling on reporters by looking at a list of who is there. Every day this week so far, he has called on several conservative news blogs before getting to the mainstream media (like AP or CNN) . . . There is so much happening that most of the reporters ask questions about the President's executive orders or other announcements.

To view each day's press conference, go here.

The videos of these press briefings appear below the video of Inauguration itself.

7. [Special feature] Did You Know?? - CHPP

Whenever a president wins an election, it is the policy of the Secret Service to give him a code name.

The code name for Barack Obama was "renegade." Now, the code name for our new President, Donald Trump is: (insert drum roll here . . .) MOGUL.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, the word "mogul" means: "an important person who has great wealth or power."

Wikipedia lists these synonyms for "mogul":

magnate, tycoon, VIP, notable, personage, baron, captain, king, lord.

- Father, we thank You that, apparently, even the Secret Service has taken note of the strength and the character demonstrated by President Trump. Lord God, we continue to commit to lift up our new "Mogul," President Trump, before Your Throne of Grace, that He might be led by Your Spirit in every action he takes while in office. Thank You, Lord, for allowing this good man to be installed as the new President of the United States. Amen.
A Psalm for Our President

1 The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord;
And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2 You have given him his heart's desire,
And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah
3 For You meet him with the blessings of goodness;
You set a crown of pure gold upon his head.
4 He asked life from You, and You gave it to him-
Length of days forever and ever.
5 His glory is great in Your salvation;
Honor and majesty You have placed upon him.
6 For You have made him most blessed forever;
You have made him exceedingly glad with Your presence.
7 For the king trusts in the Lord,
And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.

Germany on Wednesday issued a harsh condemnation of Israel's approval of thousands of new settlement homes in the West Bank, saying Jerusalem's actions cast doubt on Israel's commitment to a two-state solution.

German Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer said Tuesday's announcement of new construction went "beyond what we have seen . . . in the last few months both in terms of its scale and its political significance," Reuters reported. (Read more)

After landing on the moon, the spacecraft is expected to take photos and videos of the moon and broadcast them to Earth. The spacecraft is designed to travel 500 yards across the surface of the moon by hopping, instead of roving like other spacecraft in the competition. If all goes as planned, SpaceIL will meet the conditions of Google's XPRIZE competition and win $20 million. The team plans to use the prize money to promote science in Israel. (Read more)

1. Trump Prepares Orders Aiming at Global Funding and Treaties - New York Times

The Trump administration is preparing executive orders that would clear the way to drastically reduce the United States' role in the United Nations and other international organizations, as well as begin a process to review and potentially abrogate certain forms of multilateral treaties. The first of the two draft orders, titled "Auditing and Reducing U.S. Funding of International Organizations" and obtained by The New York Times, calls for terminating funding for any United Nations agency or other international body that meets any one of several criteria. (Read more)

Trump will block the entry of migrants from countries hosting Muslim jihadists, many of them looking to relocate to Western democracies in the wake of the Islamic State's loss of territory in Syria and Iraq. (Read more)

6. Alliance for Fair Coverage of Life Issues to News Networks: 'Cover the March for Life!' - CNSNews

The Alliance for Fair Coverage of Life Issues called on the news networks to cover this Friday's annual March for Life, which brings in hundreds of thousands of marchers, and to "cover it fairly" given the extensive coverage the media gave to the pro-abortion "Women's March on Washington" on Jan. 21.

"This Friday is a true test for the media," said Alliance member Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center. "They provided massive, and fawning coverage of the pro-abortion 'Women's March' just four days ago. The media's coverage of the 'March for Life' in two days, both in time and tone, will tell you everything you need to know about their support for abortion." (Read more)

Media reform and discerning the truth

The mainstream news media must be reformed otherwise our nation is in great peril. The media, using half-truths, "if-then" scenarios, and alarmist statements of fear mongering criticizes every move that President Trump makes. If only, we as Christian Americans would stand in solidarity on behalf of restoring the truth and stop reading, listening to, or watching the mainstream media, perhaps the drop in ratings and revenue would result in change. We also must call out the lies and interpretations of the news based on a Marxist worldview. Remember a little bit of truth makes a better lie. Many like the idea of turning off the media, but they, wishing to be informed, ask how they could do this and still be responsible citizens.

This comes down to two basic concepts: 1) no longer patronize the news media, and 2) discerning the truth. People ask how I do this. First and foremost, I pray and ask guidance from the Holy Spirit. I stopped watching the news about 10 years ago. I get my news through sources and by visiting a very small handful of websites, starting with The Drudge Report. Drudge is a news aggregator. It has the stories from all the major and many minor news outlets. It writes its own news very little. On this site, one can compare what the various news outlets are writing about a certain topic. When reading the stories, I also look for clues to go to the original source-If a speech is quoted, for example, I find the text. If a source is quoted, I go to that person's or organization's website and read all of what was said in its context.

There are assumptions that I make. If the story is written by a mainstream media outlet, I assume that it is lying and that there is an opposite point of view. Then I look to find what others have written or find the actual source of the story. It's easier than you think. If something is reported that is outlandish, it's probably not true. I avoid sites like Snopes because they are funded by George Soros or other leftists and only perpetrate lies. One has to be careful not to fall into "group think"-that is what you see when all the reporters are using the same words to describe something, as if they are using talking points. Judge every story as to what the angle is and try to boil it down to one fundamental statement.

For example, President Trump is ending the immigration policy of the previous Administration, including federal funding to sanctuary cities that harbor illegal aliens. The news media, however, reports that he is jack-booting immigration and stirs fear that families will be deported. These people, however, are here illegally. Laws are on the books to protect citizens. Illegals chose to break the law. This is part of boiling down the news to a fundamental statement. It is just an example. Discernment and truth are important and we need to know how to detect them before media reform can occur. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." It is your responsibility to judge properly and not be deceived. You can do a little journalistic work and be well informed each day in the same time you would normally watch the news.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Women's march powered by antiAmerican forces

Last Saturday, approximately half a million women marched on Washington, D.C. to protest losing the election, the new President Donald Trump, and the possibility of losing the right to kill their own babies in the womb. spoke volumes of what the media neglected to report. The sponsors included Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign, and the George Soros-funded The list of partners looked like a who's who of anti-American activists and included the Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America, Council on American Islamic Relations, Democratic Party groups, and the National Education Association (you know, the ones who teach our children in public schools).

The website says that in light of the election results, these groups are "hurt and scared." The website clothes these groups' anti-American actions in human rights, equity, and social justice. This was about all the groups who oppose traditional morality and justice by the law. Many of them openly advocate the overthrow of the Republic. Interesting that Muslim women, the most oppressed in the world by their own theocratic system, participated side by side with the very people their religion says to kill-homosexuals. The website says, "We support the advocacy and resistance movements that reflect our multiple and interesting identities"--In other words, rebellion against the US. They are united by their hate of America.
In the end, it's all about the possibility that the Trump administration will defund Planned Parenthood, overturn elements of the socialist health care law that fund abortion, and that a Trump-appointed Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade. A star-studded Hollywood cast of left wing communists adorned the stage shouting vulgarities about and sexually explicit insults at President Trump while the crowd cheered in agreement. It was hardly a lady's forum. Many were wearing hats that represented vaginas. The entire event showed a tremendous lack of respect-not only for our country, our incredible form of government, but for the women themselves. Quite frankly, it was an embarrassing travesty to see grown women behave in such a degrading fashion.
Many of these groups say they are against hate, but they are saying hateful things about those with whom they disagree. They say they are "hurt and scared." To them, this excuses their hateful ways. But this is a sad state of affairs. First, they are being used by those forces that seek to destroy America and her freedoms. But even more, they do not know the love of God. 1 John 4:18 says, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love." 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." There is no greater indication that these people are tormented and need the love of God than their actions at that women's march. Torment, fear, lack of a sound mind - may the Lord show us how to reach them.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Trump Supports March for Life

President Trump Calls Out Mainstream Media for Failing to Cover Upcoming March for Life

January 26, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) - During a Wednesday night interview with ABC, President Trump called out the media for covering a pro-abortion march but ignoring the March for Life.

ABC's David Muir asked Trump if he "could hear the voices from the women's march here in Washington?"

"I couldn't hear them, but the crowds were large," Trump responded. "You're gonna have a large crowd on Friday, too, which is mostly pro-life people. You're gonna have a lot of people coming on Friday, and I will say this, and I didn't realize this, but I was told, you will have a very large crowd of people. I don't know - as large or larger - some people say it's gonna be larger. Pro-life people. And they say the press doesn't cover them."
Muir quickly said he didn't want to compare crowd sizes.

"What they do say is that the press doesn't cover them," said Trump.

Friday's March for Life is the 44th annual gathering demanding human rights for the pre-born. It is the largest annual American civil rights demonstration.

A recent study by Katie Yoder of NewsBusters revealed that the networks covered the 2017 pro-abortion women's march 129 times more than the 2016 March for Life. (LifeSite News) Read more here.

Trump Takes Action on U.N.

Trump Executive Order Will Defund UN and All Agencies Recognizing Palestinian State

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order halting all US funding to United Nations agencies which recognize the Palestinian Authority (PA) or Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as a full member, the New York Times reported on Wednesday. Other international bodies and programs which recognize the Palestinians will also be targeted.

The order, entitled "Auditing and Reducing U.S. Funding of International Organizations", will create a committee tasked with investigating U.S. aid to all international programs and determining if the organizations meet the criteria for defunding. The review process will result in either a drastic reduction or complete cutting of monies to agencies which violate that criteria.

Along with giving full membership to the PA or PLO, agencies will also be defunded for supporting reproductive rights or engaging in activities which violate international sanctions against Iran or North Korea.

The order also calls for withdrawing funding from any organization that "is controlled or substantially influenced by any state that sponsors terrorism." (Breaking Israel News) Read more.

"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice." (Philippians 4:4)

Rejoice, the Lord is King! Your Lord and King adore; Mortals give thanks and sing, and triumph evermore; Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

Jesus, the Savior, reigns, the God of truth and love; When He had purged our stains He took His seat above; Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

Signs and Wonders

Astronomers Discover Galactic Cross

Astronomers have discovered an amazing object in the heavens. Some have dubbed it a "celestial cross."

The most majestic and beautiful objects in the universe are the galaxies.
Awe-inspiring photographs of them grace the pages of astronomical photo collections, boggling the mind with their endless variation. Around their edges, they usually feature an array of spiral arms, or a gaseous nebulosity that thins into a tenuous curtain that stretches across the vastness of space.

But at the center of virtually every galaxy is a brilliant spheroid of light, made up of hundreds of thousands of stars. At the galaxy's core, they are so closely spaced that they produced a uniform, powerful light that has the appearance of being solid. In reality, these myriad stars are gathered around an organizing framework. What structures lie within the impenetrable glare?

For many years, astronomers have conjectured that these close congregations of stars may conceal a sort of cosmic whirlpool, which has been dubbed a "black hole." In theory, such a monster would be created when a super-massive star or star cluster collapses of its own weight into a super-dense mass with such enormous gravitational force that nothing - not even light - can escape its gravitational grip.

Since the theory was developed, they have been looking for the telltale signs that would mark such an anomaly. But nothing of the sort has been visible.
. . . However, the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope spotted a peculiar formation in the center of the Whirlpool galaxy some 20 million light-years from earth. A startling photo was released during the second week of June 1992 and published in TIME magazine, in the June 22 edition.

The Hubble telescope, taking advantage of the fact that it doesn't have to peer through a distorting atmosphere, has been able to see farther with more clarity than any optical telescope ever built.

In this photograph a mammoth "X" is seen at the galaxy's center. According to TIME editors, "The scientists think one arm of the X is a massive, doughnut-shapped cloud of dust swirling around the hole. The doughnut is seen edge on, hiding the black hole from view, but two cone-shaped beams of light emitted by hot gas closer in can be seen escaping out the sides. As for the second arm, no one knows what it is."
. . . What is interesting is that the first time anyone has ever gotten a good, close look at a galactic center, it turns out to hold the sign that is of the greatest possible importance to humanity. In the Latin language, the word "crux" designates the cross. Planet earth came to the crossroads at the foot of the cross. Divine action designated this simple geometric shape as the symbol for decision. (Read more and view this amazing photo here.)

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea." (Luke 21:25)

"Audacious" U.S. Missionary Receives Award for Radically Changing Hearts of Revolutionaries: "I've Never Seen Anything Like This"
