1. Ted Cruz refuses to endorse Trump, receives thunderous boos from RNC crowd - YnetNews

Undercutting calls for Republican unity, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz stubbornly refused to endorse Donald Trump Wednesday night as he addressed the GOP convention, igniting thunderous boos from furious delegates as he encouraged Americans to simply "vote your conscience" in November.

In a surreal moment, Trump unexpectedly walked into the arena just as Cruz was wrapping up his remarks. Delegates chanted Trump's name and implored Cruz to voice his support for the businessman, to no avail.

"Vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution," Cruz said. While he backed some of Trump's policy proposals, including building a wall along the US-Mexico border, he mentioned the GOP nominee by name only once. (Read more)

- Father, we ask You to bring healing and reconciliation between Senator Ted Cruz and the Republican candidate for President, Donald Trump. We ask You to raise up counselors, who walk in Your wisdom and who can help to bring this about. Abba Father God, we cancel and obliterate any plans that would create a "third party" in this election year, choosing to remain instead in the place of unity and in the bond of peace. In Your Name, amen.

- (Regarding third party plans) "Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us." (Isaiah 8:10)

2. Mike Pence bid for Republican unity marred by clashes on convention floor - The Guardian UK

Efforts to reboot a chaotic Republican convention by introducing vice-presidential candidate Mike Pence to American voters were undermined on Wednesday by an angry clash between Donald Trump supporters and those of his former rival Ted Cruz.

Pence insisted the party was coming together as he took to the stage at the end of the night to formally accept the party's nomination. "This week, with this united party, in November I know we will elect Donald Trump," he said.

"This team is ready, our party is ready," he concluded. "And when we elect Donald Trump the 45th president of the United States we will make America great again." (Read more)

3. Republicans rattled by fall of Roger Ailes, party's wizard behind the curtain - Financial Review

God seems to be toying with American conservatives. On the same day Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination, Roger Ailes, legendary creator of Fox News, was being ushered out of his role.

Mr Trump's rise might have taken the world by surprise but it is hard to imagine his message having taken root without Mr Ailes' groundwork.

Felled by sexual harassment allegations from a former Fox anchor, the news channel's departing creator is no household name. Yet Mr Ailes has played wizard behind the curtain to more than two generations of Republican presidential candidates, conservative pundits and intellectuals. He is the creator and destroyer of ambitions - the Shiva of US conservatism. Without Mr Ailes, Rupert Murdoch would have been a far less potent figure on the US scene. (Read more)

4. Trump could seek new law to purge government of Obama appointees - Reuters

If he wins the presidency, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would seek to purge the federal government of officials appointed by Democratic President Barack Obama and could ask Congress to pass legislation making it easier to fire public workers, Trump ally, Chris Christie, said on Tuesday.

Christie, who is governor of New Jersey and leads Trump's White House transition team, said the campaign was drawing up a list of federal government employees to fire if Trump defeats Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 presidential election.

Trump's transition advisers fear that Obama may convert these appointees to civil servants, who have more job security than officials who have been politically appointed. This would allow officials to keep their jobs in a new, possibly Republican, administration, Christie said.

"It's called burrowing," Christie said. "You take them from the political appointee side into the civil service side, in order to try to set up ... roadblocks for your successor, kind of like when all the Clinton people took all the Ws off the keyboard when George Bush was coming into the White House." 5. Trump calls Cruz non-endorsement 'no big deal,' senator defends decision - Fox News

Donald Trump mostly brushed off the furor over Ted Cruz's non-endorsement speech Wednesday night, calling the snub "no big deal" even as the senator himself doubled down - though the Republican standard-bearer used the dispute to warn voters that if Democrats win in November, their justices "will destroy us all."

Trump blasted out a pair of tweets responding to the Cruz speech backlash. (Read more)

6. Donald Trump Jr. Wows the Nation With Speech After His Father Wins GOP Nomination - Breaking Christian News (BCN)

The second night of the Republican National Convention started with the roll call of states casting their votes. Trumps name, of course, called out more than any other.

His own son, Donald Trump, Jr. put his dad over the top casting New York's 89 delegate votes for his father.

However, the house came alive when the younger Trump took the stage with a powerful speech endorsing his dad.

With strength and utter loyalty to his father Trump, Jr. paid tribute to his father and shared his accomplishments as a leader. (Read more)

1. Netanyahu fires back at Bennett - Israel National News

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday afternoon fired back at accusations by Jewish Home chairman and Education Minister Naftali Bennett, who on Tuesday expressed concern over freedom of the press in Israel, following the announcement of the postponement of the date when the new Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation will go on air, replacing the existing public broadcaster, the Israel Broadcasting Authority.

"There is a readily available and effective public broadcaster in the State of Israel. Somehow it ran into technical problems with plans that have not been implemented until now, but it will happen," said Netanyahu.

"With regards to those who talk about freedom of the press - it is not consistent with their efforts to shut down Israel Hayom at any price. It is not just about freedom of the press, they seem to be guided by other things," the Prime Minister charged. (Read more)

3. Israel's Former UN Ambassador Says Europe Should Learn From Jewish State's Counterterrorism 'Experience, Expertise' - Algemeiner

Where global terrorism in general - and its recent manifestations in particular - are concerned, the Jewish state "has experience and expertise to share," wrote Israel's former UN ambassador on Monday.

In an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Ron Prosor - who has also served as Israeli ambassador to the UK - said that "expressions of sympathy and solidarity" with the victims of the truck-ramming attack in Nice on Thursday night, which left at least 84 people dead and more than 300 wounded, and other such bloody incidents "aren't enough. As the terrorist threat evolves, so, too, must our response." (Read more)

A military court in Gaza on Tuesday sentenced three local residents to death after they were convicted of providing information to Israel's security services.

The Palestinian Interior Ministry, which is in charge of the security forces and which is controlled by Hamas in Gaza, said that the Supreme Military Court sentenced to death by strangling and shooting the three men, who according to the statement handed over information that harmed the public interest and the Palestinian national security.

The trial of the "spies" was held behind closed doors and without the presence of the media.

Hamas regularly claims to have captured "Israeli spies", and many times it tries them and sentences them to death. (Read more)

5. Israel trying to quash discussion of EU document blaming 'occupation' for terrorism - Jerusalem Post

Israel is trying to prevent an internal EU document blaming Palestinian terrorism on the "occupation" from coming up for discussion in EU institutions in Brussels, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

The paper, drafted late last year by all the EU countries with consulates in Jerusalem and embassies in Ramallah, stated that the wave of knifing attacks, car ramming and shootings since October is - as the EUobserver reported this week - "due, in large part, to Israel's occupation." (Read more)

1. Trump calls Cruz non-endorsement 'no big deal,' senator defends decision-Fox

Donald Trump had a simple answer for Republicans outraged by Ted Cruz's non-endorsement speech Wednesday night:
"No big deal."
Trump tweeted his response overnight, saying Cruz didn't honor his "pledge" to back the nominee, while brushing off the snub.

Cruz, meanwhile, defended his remarks Thursday morning at a breakfast with Texas delegates, during which he was pushed to admit he still held a grudge against Trump for "maligning" his wife and father.

Even as some in the audience Thursday morning chanted "Trump, Trump," Cruz doubled down, saying he still doesn't plan to endorse. He also said Trump never asked him to do so when he invited him to speak, and the campaign knew what he was going to say.

_Lord, no matter how angry Mr. Cruz is over the disparaging remarks from Mr. Trump, he must forgive according to Your Word. His holding of that grudge may cost him his political career. We pray that repentance will come to the entire nation, for we have lost our way.

2. Transgender teen sues Wisconsin school district over restroom use, alleged discrimination- Fox

A transgender student filed a lawsuit against a Wisconsin school district Tuesday, alleging that the district won't let him use the boys' restrooms and repeatedly uses his female birth name, violating federal anti-discrimination laws and the U.S. Constitution.

The Transgender Law Center and the civil rights law firm Relman, Dane and Colfax PLLC filed the federal lawsuit in Milwaukee against the Kenosha school district. The filing states Ashton Whitaker, a 16-year-old student at Tremper High School, was designated a girl on his birth certificate but began identifying as a boy in middle school.

4. Brazilian police arrest Isis-linked group over alleged Olympics attack plot- The Guardian

Brazilian police have arrested 10 people accused of pledging allegiance to the Islamic State terror group who are believed to have been discussing a possible attack on Rio de Janeiro during the Olympics.

The operation on Thursday morning, 15 days before the opening ceremony, was announced by the justice minister, Alexandre Moraes, at a press conference in Brasilia.

Moraes said that no specific target had been chosen for an attack.

"They were complete amateurs and ill-prepared" to actually launch an attack, he said. "A few days ago they said they should start practicing martial arts, for example."

The agency, once based in Columbia, also pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to commit money laundering and obstructing the administration of internal revenue laws.

6. Turkey says no return to past repression despite state of emergency- Reuters

Turkey tried to assure its citizens and the outside world on Thursday that there will be no return to the deep repression of the past even though President Tayyip Erdogan has imposed the first nationwide state of emergency since the 1980s.

With Erdogan cracking down on thousands of people in the judiciary, education, military and civil service after last weekend's failed military coup, a lawmaker from the main opposition party said the state of emergency created "a way of ruling that paves the way for abuse".

An international lawyers' group warned Turkey against using the state of emergency to subvert the rule of law and human rights, pointing to allegations of torture and ill-treatment of people held in the mass roundup.

Announcing the state of emergency late on Wednesday, Erdogan said it would last at least three months and allow his government to take swift measures against supporters of the coup, in which 246 people were killed and hundreds wounded.

7. In New Threat to West, Iran Official Calls for Plans to Build Uranium-Enrichment Plant- Algemeiner

Iranian officials issued new threats against the West on Wednesday, warning that failure to uphold the nuclear deal will result in harsh consequences, Iranian state media reported.

In an address to the country's parliament - the Majlis - Speaker Ali Larijani called on the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) to prepare plans to build a nuclear plant with the express purpose of enriching uranium, the semi-official state news agency Fars reported.

According to Larijani, "disruptive moves" by the UN and the US, coupled with what he claimed to be America's disloyalty to the year-old Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), are sufficient cause for Tehran to take defiant measures.

Also on Wednesday, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, announced that Iran will hold various war games across the country, which will last through the end of the year, Fars reported. The war games are intended to flex Iran's military muscles and test its advanced missile systems, the IRGC commander said.

Embracing the enemy

Four years ago (July 20, 2012), Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's aide Huma Abedin and the Muslim Brotherhood were in the news. Now as the Republican convention comes to a close, WorldNetDaily reports that one of Donald Trump's foreign policy advisors, Joseph Schmitz, thinks that bills in Congress to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization are a good idea. Egypt and the United Arab Emirates already have banned the Muslim Brotherhood, and Israel agrees that the MB is a terrorist organization. Notwithstanding, the current "president" and Hillary Clinton both see the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign policy partner and have staffers in high-level positions who are associated with it.

The current "president" and Clinton's record and reputation speak for themselves when it comes to foreign policy and national security. It is recorded in countless news stories that this "president" and his administration is actively in league with the Muslim Brotherhood in helping overthrow Arab countries in the name of "democracy." It has been proven and reported repeatedly that Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin's family is intimately connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. The overall connections of this Administration to the Muslim Brotherhood have led to a Congressional investigation whether there is influence by the terrorist group on US policy.

In 2012, Senator John McCain and House Speaker John Boehner along with many other Republicans condemned Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann who wrote letters to intelligence and national security agencies raising questions about the Muslim Brotherhood. The letters, signed by four other Congressmen, accused Abedin's deceased father and brother of being part of the Muslim Brotherhood, and her mother part of the Muslim Sisterhood. The Abedin family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood have been reported in both Arab and Western media. Bachmann was doing her job raising a concern for America's national security. Clinton, Democrats and many Republicans denounced her for it.

Either the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization or it is not. Its plan to destroy America was entered as evidence in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial that ended in convictions of those who were laundering money to fund another terrorist group, Hamas. Congressman Darrell Issa (R-Ca) told WND, "...clearly you have an administration who sided with the Muslim Brotherhood, and even when the evidence is that they are a terrorist organization..." Trump recognizes the enemy. Clinton embraces the enemy. Our national security depends on recognizing and dealing with our enemies. As citizens and Christians we must as Jesus warned in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Four years ago the Muslim Brotherhood was newsworthy as an enemy of America. Clinton supported it. Nothing has changed.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

This Iconic Restaurant Chain Just Blocked Porn on Its Wi-Fi: Now Starbucks is Considering Doing the Same

Customers across the nation learned this year that, when they go to the world's most popular fast food chain, pornography is no longer part of the combo.

"Parents can have peace of mind that, when they or their children go to McDonald's, they will have a safer and more friendly Wi-Fi experience, filtered from pornography" and "from potential sexual exploitation and predation."
