More Electronic Voting Machines Changing Romney Votes to Obama:

We Looked Into It and Here's What a Vendor Told Us

Last week, TheBlaze brought you a story from a North Carolina voting precinct using electronic voting machines that was already experiencing issues where votes for GOP candidate Mitt Romney were being changed to Democratic candidate Barack Obama. Now, it's allegedly happening again, this time in both Kansas and Ohio - and we talked to a vendor supporting the machines about the issue.

Nancy from Topeka, Kan., who asked that her last name not be used for reasons pertaining to her husband's work, told TheBlaze she fears if voters aren't double checking their selections, they'll be "robbed of their vote." Nancy explained that while her husband was casting a vote for Romney, the touchscreen highlighted Obama.

"He played around with the field a little and realized that in order to vote for Romney, his finger had to be exactly on the mark," Nancy wrote in an email. She said "the invisible Obama field came down about 1/4 [of an inch]" into what should technically have been the Romney area. In a phone interview with TheBlaze, she explained further that her husband said he felt the area on the touchscreen that could be pushed to vote for Obama was larger than that for Romney. Nancy and her husband called the Kansas Secretary of State to report the problem and were informed that it was most likely a calibration issue. "My concern is, is this intentional?" Nancy said. Posing this question to the Secretary of State's office, Nancy told us they said it is unlikely that voter fraud would be occurring in Kansas, as it's not a highly contested state.
The Marion Star also reported Wednesday that Ohio resident Joan Stevens experienced a similar case. She alerted a board of elections member at the voting location about the problem, who then called in the vendor providing support for the machines to check for calibration issues.

Sophia Rogers, director of the Marion County Board of Elections, told TheBlaze the Marion Star "got it wrong." She said when techs came out to review the machine, they found everything was calibrated correctly. The Marion Star reported Rogers saying the machine seemed to have been working fine for her and other voters as well. Still, the local newspaper did note Stevens saying that board of elections member Jackie Smith mentioned to her that the machine had been experiencing issues all day. Smith did not issue a comment to the Marion Star.

Regardless if there was issue or not, the fact remains that direct-recording electronic voting machines can experience calibration issues. It's something that happens every election, and when voters come across a machine not recording their vote correctly, they should report it. With such seemingly inevitable issues, which to be fair do not occur with every machine, TheBlaze decided to look into who was responsible for making sure the machines was calibrated in the first place; how calibration issues occur; and how the problems are fixed.
In Marion, for example, Rogers told TheBlaze it is standard procedure to call in a technician from the vendor to tend to the machine in question. She referred us to the vendor of their touch-screen machines Dominion Voting. Spokesman for Dominion Chris Riggall told TheBlaze that many of the machines in the field - which he says are "legacy machines" not manufactured by Dominion but by companies that Dominion now owns - are up to 10 years old. "They have been in the field many years and through many election cycles," Riggall said. "It is certainly possible [for them to get] out of calibration."
As when you purchase any electronic, you can sign up for a warranty or added customer support. The same concept applies to voting machine technology. Riggall said he believes the Marion jurisdiction does receive support from Dominion for its machines, meaning it could be called in to check and fix calibration issues. He said there is a calibration test built into the machine's software and that the machine can also be tested through a sample ballot, which of course would not be cast as an actual vote. "It is not uncommon to put a unit back into service when [officials] are 100 percent confident it is registering correctly," Riggall said. Although Marion may have vendors helping in such situations, Riggall said tech support provided for machines is jurisdiction dependent. It is up to the states or jurisdictions to decide how often machines will be checked for accuracy, and who will perform this check and fix problems when they occur. (The Blaze)
- Father, we take authority over this voting fraud in the Name of Jesus and by the power of His Blood. We pray for the release of Your angelic host to put a stop to any and all attempts to sway this election out of the hands of the people of America.

Round 2? Forecasters predict nor'easter may hit East Coast election day

Another messy -- and wintry -- storm may cause post-Election Day problems for an already weather-weary East Coast, forecasters say.

But meteorologists add that it's (three) days out, so that's rather early to get too worried. The forecast could change before it hits late next week.

The National Weather Service's forecast center in College Park, Maryland, which watches winter storms, put out a long-range notice on Thursday saying a nor'easter was possible for mid-Atlantic and New England states by Election Day through next Thursday.
Forecaster Bruce Sullivan said it wouldn't be as bad as Superstorm Sandy and isn't tropical. But it could include snow in interior New England and New York, beach erosion and high winds for areas hit by Sandy and moderate or heavier rainfall. Winds could be about 30 mph to 40 mph.

"I wouldn't get too alarmed yet," Sullivan said. "But it's something we're going to be watching over the next few days and fine-tuning. Anything that could hamper clean-up efforts is something that could be watched."

The same European computer model that first noticed and correctly called Superstorm Sandy a week in advance has forecast this potential nor'easter to come along the East Coast and then hit, Sullivan said. Another computer model also said the same thing, but then lessened that chance, he said. (Fox News) Read more.

- Thank our Lord for His power, and for the Wind of the Spirit that can and will move storms away, if we but ask. Ask Him now to move upon our entire nation, so that no inclement weather will be permitted to have an adverse effect upon our nation. In His Name, we ask, amen.

- "The disciples were amazed. 'Who is this man?' they asked. 'Even the winds and waves obey him!' (Matthew 8:27)

Sandy Impacts the Election

Sandy Impacts the Election:

NJ to use US military vehicles as polling places
With less than a week to go until the presidential elections, state officials in New Jersey are moving ahead with an ambitious plan to let voters in that state have their say on Nov. 6.

State election officials will use military trucks and vehicles as makeshift polling stations for the upcoming presidential election, as the state and the rest of the Eastern Seaboard recover from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Nearly 6,700 Guard and Reserve forces were initially sent into New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Maryland late Monday night, as the brunt of the storm hammered the East Coast, according to the Pentagon.

That number has swelled to 7,400 as area communities continue to assess the millions in damage left in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

- As we share this news with you, we have no reports from any other states impacted by Sandy and who are now trying to help the election proceed as planned. With 3.2 million customers still without power today, pray for a miracle so that each one can reach the polls, the polls WILL be open, and each voted counted, in truth. Pray for a miracle . . . pray!
- "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." (Jer. 32:17)

Ralph Reed: 17 Million Evangelical Votes Can Lead to Obama's Defeat

Some 17 million Evangelicals failed to vote in 2008 when Democrat Barack Obama beat the GOP's John McCain - and now the fight is on to get them there this November, Faith and Freedom Coalition founder Ralph Reed says.

"We had, in 2008, about 17 million self-identified Evangelicals who didn't go to polls either because they weren't registered to vote or because they were registered but they didn't bother," Reed said.
"And we don't know if we can get all 17 million of them to go to the polls, but we can get millions of them registered to vote and turned out. So . . . we're going to be talking to them about the basic blocking and tackling of registering people to vote, making sure they're educated on where the candidates stand and getting them out to the polls on election day."
"The other thing we're going to do is we're going to work double overtime to make sure that the Evangelical vote, which has historically been between 20 and 23 percent of the electorate, turns out in the largest numbers ever seen in a presidential election." (Newsmax) Read more.

Chuck Norris Warns the Public

Chuck Norris Video: Obama Reelection Will Bring '1,000 Years Of Darkness'

Chuck Norris has offered a dire warning to America, claiming that U.S. citizens face "1,000 years of darkness" if President Obama is reelected for a second term in November.

In a two-minute video posted on his official YouTube channel . . . Norris and his wife Gena warn of a "growing concern" that the America we know can be lost forever if Obama is reelected.

"If we look to history, our great country and freedom are under attack," Norris says. "We're at a tipping point and, quite possibly, our country as we know it may be lost forever if we don't change the course in which our country is headed."
Gena then cites the statistic that in 2008 more than 30 million Evangelical Christians stayed home on Voting Day and Obama won (by ten million votes). (Bretibart) Read more.

- Saints, please enter into DEEP TRAVAIL over this very serious matter regarding next week's election. We who live in this nation enjoy the blessings of being able to exercise our right to vote, and we -- no one else -- choose who our next President will be.

The responsibility is ours . . . it is up to us . . . VOTE!!!!!!!!

- "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"

A Word from Mrs. Shirley Dobson

A Word from Mrs. Shirley Dobson

Warm greetings from Colorado Springs! With the elections close at hand, I want to encourage you help us rally citizens to come before the Lord on behalf of our nation and ask Him to place men and women of integrity in positions of leadership. We also are strongly urging individuals to exercise the privilege of voting that they have been given by our republic.

This is a crucial time for our country - decisions are being made every day at the city, state, and national levels that have the potential to greatly alter the moral and spiritual direction of our society. In light of the dedication shown by you and those in your ministry to upholding God's truth, we trust that you share our deep concern over the cultural erosion that is taking place. Therefore, we appeal to you to join our initiative as we seek to fulfill the command of I Timothy 2:1-4 and pray with humble hearts for those who will be elected to positions of authority on November 6th.

We have designated Sunday, November 4th as a nationwide day of prayer and fasting, and urge you to consider taking the following steps in preparation for this observance and the upcoming election:
- Call on your constituency to participate in this time of intercession for our country. Request that individuals pray personally and corporately for our nation's needs and leadership, and fast if so led.
- Exhort each person to vote on November 6th. Also, challenge everyone to ask two friends who may not be planning to vote to commit to going to the polls. In turn, each friend should be encouraged to ask two additional people to vote and involve others. This "domino effect" can increase voter turnout significantly! The Lord has ordained government as an institution, and we have an opportunity - and obligation - to uphold righteousness and to serve as "salt and light" by exercising our duty as citizens.

- We have become increasingly convinced that the prayers of God's people offer the ultimate hope for our nation. Please join us in lifting this land and its leaders before His throne at this pivotal juncture. We can make a difference! Abundant blessings to you and your entire staff in the days ahead.
Sincerely,

Mrs. Shirley Dobson

Take Your Polls for Christ!

Take Your Polls for Christ!

We trust that just about all of you out there understand what it is to engage in prayer walking, and to go forth and to take the land for Christ.

Now is the time to do exactly that for every polling place in America!
Let's all consider our own polling place in our own precinct, for it is there that we have authority to take the land for our Lord. We encourage each one of you -- all 4,018 of you -- to "go forth" to your own site and bless those gates, THE NIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION.

As we do this, let's remember that we have an enemy who is also at work, and his words and his curses must be canceled by the Blood of the Lamb.

As we confront this enemy, decree with the Lord (as He gazed upon His enemy): "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

And then, please ask our Lord to do a work in each heart, leading each one to repentance, salvation and NEW LIFE in Him!

As you pray, be encouraged by this promise from the Word of God:

"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." (I Peter 3:12)

Key Topics for 24 Hours of Prayer

Key Topics for 24 Hours of Prayer

During our 24 hours of prayer, you will hear 24 leaders of intercessory ministries, lifting up prayers for one topic, each. As a participant, you are invited to listen in as a panel of prayer warriors addresses each topic, hour by hour.

Some of the key topics will include:

-- Praying in the vote over each state in each time zone, as the polls open in those states, creating a "wave of intercession across the nation" to usher in the vote in prayer!

-- And again, we will pray over each time zone, hour by hour, as workers prepare to close the polls, too. [These prayers will be lifted up two hours ahead of the close, allowing us ample opportunity to "call forth" those who have yet to vote in those states, and to lift up the workers that they be strengthened until their work is done.]
-- We will be asking our Lord to cause the hearts of the voters to be turned to Him, in righteousness, so that candidates who stand for traditional values will be elected into office! This will include candidates who are both pro-life and who stand for traditional marriage.
-- And, we will lift up the nation of ISRAEL, asking our Lord to bring us candidates who honor our covenant with the land of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and with the government of Israel.
To see a list of all topics to be addressed, and the schedule for intercession, please go here.

Whether you are able to join us on this call, or simply remain in prayer in your own home or in your churches, we do thank you for taking the time to lift up the United States of America before the Throne of Grace for His will to be done in this national election. Amen.

Oh, Lord, what a Rock You are, Tsoor Mah-oz. How I thank You for Your strength in my life. Be my strong rock, my Rock of the Ages.

You are the defense of my life; how I praise You for that. Help me to live today with the calm assurance and peace of knowing that You are my strong fortress!
