1. A) Ben Nelson - Crucial 60th Senate Vote - Defects on Obama Plan - Newsmax
Democrats in the Senate may have a filibuster-proof 60-vote majority when healthcare reform comes up for a vote, but at least one Democrat is telling party leaders not to count on him to be the 60th vote.
B.) Obama Vows to Pass Healthcare Bill With or Without GOP -- Newsmax
President Barack Obama boldly declared that he will push massive healthcare legislation through Congress with or without the help of the Republican Party Wednesday night. While he urged lawmakers to set aside partisan differences, he said that "I am not the first president to take up this cause, but I am determined to be the last."
- Lord, we thank You for men and women in all the political parties who have enough integrity to say "no" to administration pressure on Healthcare. We pray that they will stand firm against intimidation and use wisdom in the voting process. We ask that You destroy this tactic of demanding legislation be forced through that is flawed and wrong for the American people.
- "And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. 'And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.' " (1 Peter 3:13,14)
2. Obama Uses Bad Math on Healthcare Costs - AP
President Barack Obama used only-in-Washington accounting Wednesday when he promised to overhaul the nation's health care system without adding "one dime" to the deficit. By conventional arithmetic, Democratic plans would drive up the deficit by billions of dollars.
The president's speech to Congress contained a variety of oversimplifications and omissions in laying out what he wants to do about health insurance.

- Father, we thank you that the truth is available to those who seek it. We pray that more Americans, as well as our leaders, will begin to seek Your Face, and investigate the claims of this administration. We seek the revelation of truth to the American people. We pray for a visitation of Your Holy Spirit to our leaders as well as the liberal media so that they will turn from their current path to one of integrity and truth in order to report facts without deception.

3. Obama to seal US-UN relationship - Financial Times
Barack Obama will cement the new co-operative relationship between the US and the United Nations this month when he becomes the first American president to chair its 15-member Security Council. The topic for the summit-level session of the council on September 24 is nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear disarmament - one of several global challenges that the US now wants to see addressed at a multinational level.
- Father, as we have noted a lack of understanding on the part of many of our leaders with regard to security issues, we pray that You will guard America from any plans, covenants, or proposals created at the UN Security Council that would endanger us any further.
- "For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness. You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked;" (Psalm 9:4,5a)
4. UN wants new global currency to replace dollar - Telegraph UK
The dollar should be replaced with a global currency, the United Nations has said, proposing the biggest overhaul of the world's monetary system since the Second World War.
- Lord, as we continue to witness the unfolding of prophecy in our time, we pray for Your mercy and protection for Your people. We ask that this proposed currency not be placed one moment before Your perfect timing.
- "My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me." (Psalm 31:15)
5. U.N. Deletes Holocaust From Gaza Textbooks After Protests -- AP
Gaza students won't learn about the Holocaust this year.
Angry protests by Palestinians have disrupted tentative plans to introduce information about the Nazi genocide of 6 million Jews into the curriculum in U.N. schools. The dispute touches on one of the largest psychological barriers dividing Arabs and Jews: Arabs see the Holocaust as an excuse for Israel's creation, and Jews see Arab Holocaust denial as a rejection of Israel's right to exist.
- Lord, we decry this action by the UN and pray that You will cause conviction to come to those who removed the Holocaust from Gaza textbooks. As You showed Asaph the end of those who hate You, we ask that You show these UN leaders the truth of what happened in the murder of Jews in WWII, even if it must be done in vivid dream or vision.
- "Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction, Oh, how they are brought to desolation as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors." (Psalm 73:18, 19)
6. Iran Nearing Ability to Build Atomic Bomb -- Fox News
The United States said Wednesday that Iran was moving closer to being able to produce a nuclear bomb by stockpiling enriched uranium and, along with European allies, urged Tehran to engage in talks over its atomic program.
- Lord, we ask that the nations and allies of the US would actually be willing to stop Iran from its nuclear armament program. We thank You for your protection over all the regions which could be affected by Iran's dangerous plans.
- "O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further his wicked scheme." (Psalm 140:7,8a)

1. Report: PM held secret talks in Russia - Ynet News
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper on Wednesday alleged that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Moscow earlier this week, where he is believed to have discussed new weapons deals between Russia and Iran.
2. Smokescreen continues to surround PM's 'mystery' trip - Jerusalem Post
The Prime Minister's Office, faced with reports Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made a clandestine trip to Russia on Monday, on Wednesday stuck to its original version of events: that he was visiting a "security installation" inside Israel during an inexplicable absence of more than 12 hours that day.
3. Ex-Mossad chief: Only military action can thwart Iran nukes - Ha'aretz
Only military action can stop Iran from achieving nuclear weapons capabilities, former Mossad chief Danny Yatom told Army Radio late Wednesday night, though he added that he doubted the United States would approve such a step.
4. Putin denies secret meeting with Netanyahu - Ha'aretz
Vladimir Putin did not meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week in Moscow, a spokesmen for the Russian prime minister said on Wednesday.

Of Congressmen, Presidents, Lies, and Truth
Finally an American Congressman who is telling the truth about the man who occupies the Oval Office and his quest to subvert the Constitution and establish socialism. Republican South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson apparently had all he could take of the half truths, misleading statements and, yes, lies, as OOO delivered his speech on socialized healthcare to a joint session of Congress. Wilson broke protocol and shouted out "You Lie!" And in telling the truth, just about every Congressman--Republican and Democrat-- has chastised Wilson for the breech of honor and decency and protocol in the reverent and hallowed chamber of the House of Representatives.
When the lights go on, the rats run. Wilson turned on the light with two words, and oh how the rats ran! Now they are all scheming up ways that he should be punished for the outburst. How about taking another approach? Let's investigate who actually was lying--the Congressman or the usurper. Why isn't there a Congressional investigation as to whether using healthcare to establish a socialist government is Constitutional? It's not. Maybe Congress ought to look into whether garnishing $3,500 from a citizen's bank account if they don't sign up for socialized medicine is Constitutional. It's not. Congress ought to investigate whether having health tribunals decide who gets healthcare is Constitutional. It's not.
But no, Congress and the White House will used this perfect opportunity to debate the real issue of who is lying as a means to divert attention away from what they are about to do--take away the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness from every man, woman and child who is a citizen of this nation--present and future. Tribunals will decide who gets healthcare. If you don't sign up for socialized medicine, the government will seize $3,500 from your bank account--if I had the extra $3,500, my family would have excellent healthcare from a private insurer. You see, this is not about healthcare at all. Its about socialism--the unConstitutional overthrow of the United States of America.
When elected to federal office, Congressmen are sworn in with a particular oath. That oath states: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God." Proverbs 15:33 says, "The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility." These men in their arrogance have abandoned both their honor and their fear of God in violating this oath to you, to "We the People."

Prayer Alert from Federal Intercessors

[Note: This alert was posted yesterday, but the call to pray for this president remains. Once again, we thank Mark Williamson, President, Federal Intercessors, for his impassioned plea, below.]
Dear Federal Intercessors,
Please be interceding regarding the President's speech tonight. Again, we must pray earnestly that this man (and his family) come into a genuine saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, AND that every piece of his Marxist agenda come to naught and be utterly defeated!
. . . This agenda is NOT of God, is not blessed of God, is not a desire of God, nor does it honor God in any way. Obama's claim that he and the government are "partnering" with God to bring about socialized health care is a blasphemous lie from a man who loves and defends the deaths of pre-born and POST-birth babies. What hypocrisy!
God loves this man and wants to see him saved. God also loves this nation and wants to see it redeemed to His original purposes. Pray that God passionately and relentlessly pursue His heart's desire and His mind's plans, purposes, and intentions for Obama, the Church, the Kingdom of God on the earth, and the redemption of this nation as a true light to the world - as a sign and wonder of the goodness of God expressed toward those who honor, love, and joyfully serve Him and His Son Jesus Christ!
Pray in faith, in ruthless trust, and joyful expectation to see God's power move on behalf of those who love and honor Him.

Was Hillary in Danger in Africa?
Report: Islamists 'plotted to kill Hillary Clinton in Nairobi hotel'
Radical Islamist al-Shabaab militants linked to al-Qa'ida and based in Somalia plotted to kill US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her trip to Africa last month, it was disclosed yesterday. A planned series of bomb attacks set to take place in Nairobi, the capital of neighbouring Kenya, while Mrs Clinton was there - one in the hotel where she was staying - was foiled at the last minute, media reports, citing senior security officials, said. "Al-Qa'ida wanted to strike at the heart of Nairobi (while Mrs Clinton was here)," the senior security official was quoted as saying, adding that Kenyan authorities intercepted communications between the plotters in war-ravaged Somalia and their operatives in Nairobi, which has a large emigre Somali population. Five suspected al-Shabaab terrorists were arrested, including a man believed to be a Somali carrying a Danish passport. The four other suspects seized, including a woman, had what appeared to be false Kenyan identity documents, according to the reports. (The Australian)

Central Asia Update - Persecution on the rise
The vast area called Central Asia is home for more than 100 million people. In the 1990s hundreds of believers made their way to Central Asia in order to live there and proclaim the Gospel in the region. However, in recent years most governments in the region have started to persecute believers. The majority of foreign believers who sought to proclaim Christ have been expelled from one country after another.
In 2008 Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan voted laws which significantly restrain religious liberty. Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan had already become very oppressive for individuals and whole communities of believers. Proclaiming the Good News, changing religion, spiritual education for children, holding meetings and creating new communities have been made illegal or have been severely restricted. One believer who knows the region well says that "the young assemblies of believers which have developed in the last 20 years will suffer but they have deep roots. They will survive!" We still need to pray. Probably 90%+ of people in the region have never heard the Good News of the Kingdom.
Prayer Starters:
- Lord, you have said, "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)
Lord, may you be proclaimed to all in the region (Matthew 24:14).
- Lord, strengthen your people (2 Corinthians 12:9). Many are in prison or will be in prison for their faith in the coming years (Hebrews 13:3; Acts 16:23-25).

Pro-Lifers to Spend Two Weeks Protesting Health Care Bill
Mounting concern over the possibility of taxpayer- funded abortions in health-care reform has prompted Christians to pray and protest in Washington, D.C.
The "Kill the Bill" protests will take place Sept. 9-23 on Capitol Hill. Pro-life advocates will pray and hand out leaflets to staffers. Others will lobby members of the House and Senate to oppose any bill that would include abortion.
Charmaine Yoest, president and chief executive officer of Americans United for Life, said some lawmakers claim the health care plan wouldn't cover.
"Unless they pass an explicit ban on abortion funding," she said, "then it's in there." (CitizenLink)
