1. Financial Crisis Tab Already In The Trillions - CNBC

Given the speed at which the federal government is throwing money at the financial crisis, the average taxpayer, never mind member of Congress, might not be faulted for losing track. Try $4.28 Trillion! Try $4.28 trillion dollars. That's $4,284,500,000,000 and more than what was spent on WW II, if adjusted for inflation, based on our computations from a variety of estimates and sources.

· As the economy continues to spiral downward, Lord, we pray that people will not panic and make foolish decisions. Give our leaders wisdom and a spirit of restraint when they make decisions that will impact our economy -- and our nation -- on a permanent basis.

· "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever." (Psalms 111:10)

2. A New Assertiveness on Economy - Wall Street Journal

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pledged Monday to press ahead with legislation giving government aid to Detroit's ailing auto makers, but prospects for passage before a new Congress arrives next year remained dim. The sweep of the evolving plans for government involvement in a range of sectors, from housing and banking to energy and autos, is raising questions about how far the U.S. should go in embracing an "industrial policy" to shape the national economy.

· As we enter the New year, Heavenly Father, we pray for those businesses that are struggling to make wise decisions in order to survive. We pray for government to help only when necessary.

· "For the Lord your God will bless you as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you." (Deuteronomy 15:6)

3. Americans feel religious values attacked - The Jerusalem Post

Among the main findings of the ADL survey, American Attitudes on Religion, Moral Values and Hollywood: 43% hold the view that Hollywood and the national media are waging an organized campaign to "weaken the influence of religious values in this country."

· As we begin the new Administration, we pray Lord, for religious values to be strengthened in our nation and for a fresh breath of the Holy Spirit to envelop all of our nation; especially in Hollywood and the media. Amen.

4. Admirals, generals: Let gays serve openly - MSNBC

More than 100 retired generals and admirals called Monday for repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy on gays so they can serve openly, according to a statement obtained by The Associated Press. Obama said he would instead work with military leaders to build consensus on removing the ban on openly gay service members.

· Lord, many in the service have expressed reservations about repealing the military rule that is now in place. We pray for military leaders to have Your mind and wisdom when establishing these important policy decisions.

5. Poll: Only 6% of Americans think U.S. should back Palestinians in peace talks - Haaretz.com

Despite "all the problems America now faces at home," 58 percent of those polled agreed more with the statement that "America needs to stand with Israel" than with "Israel needs to take care of itself." Of those polled, only 19 percent think "making peace between Israel and the Palestinians" should be among President-elect Barack Obama's top foreign policy priorities.

· Lord, we thank You for this Bush Administration that has continued our strong support of Israel. We pray that President-elect Obama will see the value of keeping that relationship with Israel strong.

IAEA chief says uranium is not 'sufficient evidence' The head of the UN's nuclear watchdog agency, Mohamed ElBaradei, confirmed on Monday that traces of uranium were found at the site of a suspected Syrian nuclear plant allegedly bombed by Israel last year.

5. Olmert promises to release 250 Palestinian prisoners - ICEJ News

In a meeting at his official Jerusalem residence on Monday, outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert promised Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas that he would release 250 Palestinian prisoners as a goodwill gesture to mark the upcoming Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha.

6. Israel to bring Holocaust education to the US - ICEJ News

'Witness Theater', an interactive, intergenerational Israeli educational program that brings high school students together with Holocaust survivors recently received a large financial donation in order to bring the program to the US. Created by Irit and Ezra Dagan, the 18-month program allows for students to actually get to know the survivors. The final presentation is a combined effort where the survivors tell their stories as the students reenact it on stage.

1. Obama nixes new New Deal - Washington Times

President-elect Barack Obama on Sunday said that the United States faces an economic situation worse than anything since the Great Depression and that his administration will do "whatever it takes" to address the problem, including more stimulus spending, increased help for homeowners and aid to automakers.

· Heavenly Father, we pray for President-elect Obama and the new Congress, Senate, and our citizens to choose to have restraint on spending. Give everyone a desire to be frugal in their spending.

2. An Obama Administration Marks "New Chapter" on Climate Change - Fox News

President-elect Obama made his third on-camera appearance in as many days when he submitted a short video to address the Global Climate Summit, a two-day event in Los Angeles to discuss the issue ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Poland next month. In the four minute video, the president elect pledged his administration marks a "new chapter in American leadership on climate change" and vowed that the lack of leadership on the issue "will change when I take office."

· Lord, we pray for wisdom that there will be balance in the government between what is helpful for the earth and what is helpful for people.

3. Eric Holder Being Vetted as Obama Attorney General - Fox News

Senate lawmakers are being questioned as to whether former President Bill Clinton's Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder would pass confirmation after his role in the 2001 Marc Rich pardon, sources say.

· May there be leaders in the Justice Department who look to You for justice and who will be faithful to the laws of this country.

4. The end of Don't Ask, Don't Tell? - CNN

The lead sponsor of a bill to overturn the controversial Don't Ask, Don't Tell law said the law could conceivably be passed in the first year of President- elect Obama's administration. President-elect Barack Obama has pledged to lift the ban on gays serving openly in the U.S. military.

· May the military be led by those who are aware of the problems that would arise from overturning "don't ask, don't tell."

Homosexuals Now Bashing Blacks

Not all is well on the Left. There are some strains developing in the Democrat coalition. Homosexual rights activists are furious that black Californians who turned out in large numbers on Election Day to vote for Barack Obama also voted overwhelmingly against same-sex "marriage" and for Proposition 8, California's marriage protection amendment. The radical gay rights movement has been trying for years to draw parallels to the black civil rights movement, but black Americans apparently disagree. Some press reports indicate that during street riots, angry gays have been regularly using the "N" word. Disgusting!

In September, one of the left's core groups, People for the American Way (PAW), saw the "problem" developing in the black community and decided to do in-depth focus groups of black churchgoers. Sure enough, they were against same-sex "marriage." And what did PAW conclude from its study? Kathryn Kolbert, president of People for the American Way, said that the black voters they interviewed "had difficulty sorting out the difference between civil marriage and marriage as a religious institution."

In other words, she concluded that the reason they opposed same-sex "marriage" was that they were DUMB! Now there's a great example of bigotry. Apparently Ms. Kolbert thinks that if blacks were just as smart as she is, they would think men "marrying" other men is a great idea. Her racist conclusion shows once again that the Left reeks with its own biases and prejudices while it masquerades as "tolerant" and "progressive." Black voters oppose same-sex "marriage" because they attend church at levels much higher than the rest of America and they understand that marriage is a God- created institution meant for a man and a woman. Any lack of understanding on this issue lies with the Left and the militant homosexual rights movement. (Gary Bauer; End-of-Day; Nov. 18, 2008)

In Schools, Gay Activists Increasingly Set the Agenda

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) wants to take control of school calendars, scheduling at least six "Days of Action" or other celebrations in public schools every year. The group is calling on students to recognize the "Transgender Day of Remembrance" on Nov. 20. A GLSEN guide encourages students to lobby for a "multi-gendered bathroom at your school" and "join or create a coalition with transgender advocacy groups in your community." TransAction - a recent addition to the gay-activism calendar - arrives Feb. 27. The cause for celebration? "Transgender and gender non- conforming people and experiences."

Candi Cushman, education analyst for Focus on the Family Action, said groups such as GLSEN are using students to promote an adult agenda. "Not only does this politicize classrooms, but it's an unnecessary distraction from academics at a time when schools are struggling to close achievement gaps and raise graduation rates," she said. "Parents need to be aware these groups are inappropriately sexualizing the school environment." (Focus on the Family; CitizenLink)

One-world Obama

Had the whole world been able to vote in the American elections, it would make the same choice made by Americans: Obama. Indeed, he has enjoyed record- breaking global support. In the past 60 years, the US elections have not featured a presidential candidate whom a majority of six billion people hoped would win. According to Ynet columnist Sever Plocker, the wave of excitement that swept through the streets of the world in the wake of Obama's victory reflects deep desire by current-day humanity for a social leader who would not only lead the world's greatest power but, also, the entire world.

Does Obama carry significance in Islamic prophecy? According to Daniel Pipes, he just might. Ali ibn Abi- Talib, the seventh-century figure central to Shiite Islam, is said to have predicted when the world will end. A "tall black man" commanding "the strongest army on earth" will take power "in the west." He will carry "a clear sign" from the third imam, Hussein. Ali says of the tall black man: "Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us." Barack Hussein in Arabic means "the blessing of Hussein." In Persian, Obama translates as "He with us."

But the Muslim reaction to Obama's victory is more mixed than one might expect. American Islamists are delighted, and terrorist groups like Hamas are happy. However, Iran insiders believe that enmity between the U.S. and Iran would have been better served with a McCain victory, and Taliban terrorists believe that resistance will continue.

In a Sunday address celebrating Obama, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Obama has a God-given capacity to handle any burdens he'll face as the nation's leader. Farrakhan added that Obama will only be able to make positive changes with help from "God and people of good will," and he urged the Chicago-based movement's followers to do their part. "Because if God is involved, and He is, then it is God who has laid on this young man this horrible burden at the worst time in the history of America and the world," he said. "But it was also God that has given this young man this tremendous capacity to handle what God has put on his shoulders." (AP)

1. CONGRESS RETURNS THIS WEEK

When Members return to town next week, there could actually be two Congresses at work simultaneously. Party leaders may call the 110th Congress back for a lame-duck session to take up an economic stimulus package. At the same time, House and Senate Members-elect of the 111th Congress are convening for "early organization" caucuses - mainly for party leadership elections and freshman orientation. The Senate convenes today (Monday, Nov. 17); and the House will convene on wednesday, Nov. 19th. (Intercessors for America; Capitol Hill Prayer Partners)

· Pray for these two meetings of Congress, especially that the lame-duck session of the 110th session will not be influenced by the meeting of the newly forming 111th Congress. Ask the Lord to oversee the meetings of the 110th Congress so that wisdom, grace, and divine strategies will be forthcoming. Let us turn to the Lord for the economic stimulus package.

· "That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate." (1 Timothy 6:18)

2. CONGRESS WELCOMES 60 NEW MEMBERS

60 new faces, the freshman class of the next Congress, converged on the Capitol Monday to catch a glimpse of the final moments of the current Congress, bickering to the bitter end. The 50-odd freshmen in the House, and eight in the Senate, were in Washington for sessions on the minutiae of being a member of Congress - how to hire a staff and set up an office, how to conform to ethics rules and what to do in a security situation. They will also get to vote on the new leadership, and the people who will head committees when the new Congress convenes and is sworn in during early January. People with experience "are trying to keep us from rushing into swinging doors," said Rep-elect Walt Minnick of Idaho, one of at least 32 freshmen Democrats. With several seats still undecided, Republicans will have at least 19 fresh faces in a new Congress, the 111th, where Democrats will enjoy an expanded majority. In the Senate, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid meets Monday with six Democrats who will take seats previously held by Republicans in Colorado, New Mexico, Virginia, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Oregon. Republican leader Mitch McConnell is meeting with future GOP senators Jim Risch of Idaho and Mike Johanns of Nebraska. (AP)

· Again, ask our Lord to grace each new member of the House and the Senate with His wisdom, anointing, and skill to be able to serve our people with excellence in the next session of Congress. Remember to pray for "all in authority," for many have asked for and are depending upon our prayers!

· "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (I Tim. 2:1-4)

3. PRAY FOR JUSTICE IN THE MINNESOTA SENATE RACE

The results in the Minnesota Senate race are changing by the day. Incumbent Republican Senator Norm Coleman faced a stiff challenge from comedian Al Franken but pulled out an extraordinarily close win on Election Night by just 725 votes. But in the days since November 4th, Senator Coleman has watched his lead steadily evaporate. Now he is ahead by just 206 votes, and the recount will not officially get underway until next week. How is this happening? Well, 32 absentee ballots just happened to be discovered in the trunk of one election official's car. In other cases, election officials are "correcting reporting errors" on Election Day.

Needless to say, there is a lot of scrutiny on Minnesota's elections officials, including its top officer, Democratic Secretary of State Mark Ritchie. Press reports indicate that Ritchie was supported in 2006 by a shadowy 527 organization called the "Secretary of State Project" or the "SOS Project." According to the Wall Street Journal, the group was founded by an operative from MoveOn.org and is reportedly affiliated with the Democracy Alliance, which is funded by George Soros.(End-of-day-report, Gary Bauer 11/12/08) · Truly amazing is the wickedness that the left can devise! Pray for Mr. Mark Ritchie so that accuracy can be accomplished in counting the ballots. Power truly does corrupt.

· "That we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil." (2 Thessalonians 3:2,4)

4. REGULATING TALK RADIO

With the new power they amassed on Nov. 4, some Democrats appear intent on regulating conservative speech. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated his support for "fair and balanced" talk radio, then equated conservative viewpoints with "pornography." The Fairness Doctrine, created by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 1967, requires broadcasters to air contrasting viewpoints on controversial issues. It was lifted in 1987 by the FCC. Henry Rivera, the man tapped to lead the Obama transition team for the Federal Communications Commission, is a leading advocate of the Fairness Doctrine, which many conservatives refer to as the "Censorship Doctrine."

Rivera is well-known for pushing a left-wing agenda, including the notion that "communications policy is a civil rights issue," and supporting affirmative action- style programs that would essentially mandate racial quotas in media ownership. An appointment to the FCC will open up next summer, allowing soon-to-be President Obama to create a 3-to-2 Democrat majority on the FCC, which many believe would attempt to reinstate the "Censorship Doctrine." · With a majority in the House and Senate, stopping this bill can be difficult, but the Lord can intervene so that the voice of conservative common sense can be proclaimed on talk radio. Ask the Lord to establish glitches in this bill so that it never sees the light of day in Congress. Pray that our president-elect succumb to every leftist idea presented in the Congress.

· "For with God, nothing shall be impossible." (Luke 1:37)

5. FREEDOM OF CHOICE ACT

The nation's premier pro-life legal organization has launched a new project aimed at stopping passage of the most radical pro-abortion legislation in the nation's history. With the full support of President- elect Barack Obama, congressional Democrats are poised to pass the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), a law that will make abortion a "fundamental right" much the same as the right to vote and the right to free speech. By doing so, this new federal law would automatically invalidate every federal, state and local law placing even the most common sense restrictions on abortion.

"Ninety-nine percent of the American public has no idea that this bill even exists and they certainly don't realize the grave import of what this will do," said Daniel McConchie, vice president of Americans United for Life, a pro-life legal organization that has launched Fightfoca.com to prevent passage of the bill. " 'Freedom of Choice' sounds so benign but people have simply no comprehension of what a radical piece of legislation this is," Mr. McConchie said. Not only would it enshrine the right to abortion-on- demand into American law, but FOCA specifically states that it must invalidate any other federal state or local law that would "deny or interfere with a woman's right to choose" abortion, or that would "discriminate against the exercise of the right . . . in the regulation or provision of benefits, facilities, services or information." Thus, every piece of legislation placing commonsense and protective restrictions on abortion, such as the ban on partial-birth abortion, parental and informed consent laws, abortion clinic regulations, restrictions on taxpayer funding, and the requirement only a doctor can perform an abortion, would all be nullified. If the bill passes, there will be only one recourse - vote the proponents out of office and elect pro-life legislators who are willing to overturn it. (Intercessors for America)

· Why were Americans' ears closed when they heard the president-elect proclaim his support of abortion? Shout the truth of this bill from the house tops, write to your Congressmen, write to your local newspapers, and speak to your pastors.. God's judgment is already lying heavily on America. What will the Lord do if we continue to add more babies to the list of 50 million slaughtered since 1972? "

· "For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips." (Proverbs 8:7)

6. MILITARY ATHEISTS WANT NEW RULES ON PRAYER

A coalition of atheists and agnostics wants the new White House to protect young military members from what they see as rampant religious discrimination in the services. The Secular Coalition for America held a news conference Monday urging new rules against proselytizing and more training for chaplains on how to handle nonreligious troops. "When they say 'there are no atheists in foxholes' it's slanderous," said Wayne Adkins, a former Army first lieutenant who served in Iraq in 2004 and 2005. "To deny their existence is to deny that they serve."

The coalition also wants President-elect Obama to develop a new directive for all chaplains and commanders that eliminates public prayers from any mandatory-attendance events for troops and ensures the Defense Department will not endorse any single religion, or even the idea of religion over non-religion. About one-fifth of current service members identify themselves as having no religious preference, according to Defense Department statistics. Only a small percentage of troops identify themselves as atheists or agnostics, but Torpy said that's because they fear retribution. Without new rules, he said, there isn't any guarantee they can avoid that kind of treatment. "We're as dedicated to the military as our Christian counterparts," he said. "We just want to serve our country, too." (Stars and Stripes)

· "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." These atheists and agnostics really are demonstrating much pride when they turn anger against Christianity as an excuse for lack of recognition or reason for lack of promotion. Their understanding is blinded. Please, everyone, pray that hearts which are now hardened against Jesus Christ are softened, so that these agnostics and atheists can see the truth and the joy of knowing Him.

· "How excellent is Thy loving kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Thy wing. For in Thee is the fountain of life: in Thy Light shall we see light." (Psalm 36:7,9)

7. OBAMA ANNOUNCES KEY WHITE HOUSE POSTS

President-Elect Barack Obama announced additional key White House staff on Sunday in the latest round of appointments as the Democrat's transition team works to fill out the senior ranks of his administration. Pete Rouse will serve as senior adviser to the president, and Mona Sutphen and Jim Messina will both serve as deputy chiefs of staff. These individuals are important additions to a team with the experience and ability to help our nation overcome pressing challenges at home and around the world," Obama said in a press release. Rouse -- Obama's chief of staff while in the U.S. Senate -- has worked for various members of Congress for more than 30 years, including former Democratic leader Tom Daschle, whom he served for 19 years. As Obama's chief of staff in the Senate, Rouse had a critical role in helping to launch Obama's 2008 presidential run. 8. TIME OF TRANSITION VULNERABLE TO ATTACKS ON U.S.

Faced with one of the most important transfers of presidential power in American history - amid wars on two fronts, the looming threat of terrorism at home, and a full-blown economic crisis - the outgoing Bush administration and the incoming Obama team have responded with nearly unprecedented cooperation on those issues, aides and outside experts say. Serious decisions, and potentially divisive ones, still remain for the politically and ideologically divided camps, such as access to classified information and, in particular, battles over the regulations and executive orders that will define the policy of the two administrations. President Bush's chief of staff, Joshua Bolten, said the White House is even preparing a "tabletop" exercise to simulate how Obama's national-security officials should respond in the event of a terrorist attack. "If a crisis hits on January 21, they're the ones that are going to have to deal with it," Bolten said in an interview taped for broadcast Sunday on C-SPAN. · Offer praise to the Lord that He has graced each of us to live in THIS nation -- one which is known for its careful, deliberate procedures that are designed to safeguard the livess of both its citizens and its leaders. As the current administration works to interface witih the incoming one, pray for a smooth transtion in all matters related to national security, and the swift resolution of any "policy differences" that remain. As we ask Him for wisdom, He WILL grant it!

9. THREATS AGAINST PRESIDENT-ELECT OBAMA INCREASE

Authorities have seen more potentially threatening writings, Internet postings and other activity against Barack Obama than any other previous president- elect, officials aware of the situation said. Here, Obama is accompanied by Secret Service agents as he heads to his vehicle in Chicago, Nov. 7. In the security world, anything "new" can trigger hostility, said Joseph Funk, a former Secret Service agent-turned security consultant who oversaw a private protection detail for Obama before the Secret Service began guarding the candidate in early 2007. The Secret Service also has cautioned the public not to assume that any threats against Obama are due to racism. The service investigates threats in a wide range. There are "stated threats" and equally dangerous or lesser incidents considered of "unusual interest" - such as people motivated by obsessions or infatuations or lower-level gestures such as effigies of a candidate or an elected president. The service has said it does not have the luxury of discounting anything until agents have investigated the potential danger.

· Pray for the safety of the life of the President-Elect, his wife, and his children.

10. CHPP ASKS SPEICAL PRAYER FOR PRESIDENT BUSH

While we are exhorted to intercede fervently for the life of the incoming Presient-elect, let us not forget to pray for the life of the President we have now: George W. Bush. Presdent Bush still has two more months in office, before President-Elect Obama takes over. As such the man in the Oval Office always deserves our prayers.

· Let us join with Intercessors for America in decreeing that every curse spoken in past years to the effect that one brought into office in a zero-year is BROKEN and of NO EFFECT. To read more about the history of this understanding, go here.

11. G20 CALLED "BRETTON WOODS II"

This weekend, a G-20 Leaders Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy iconvened in Washington D.C. The emergency summit was called two months ago by President George W. Bush to discuss the international financial crisis. Most of the discussions will take place behind closed doors, with much of the focus on reducing the economic influence of the United States and coerce the U.S. into new global financial alignments, similar to those of the "Bretton Woods System" established in 1944. (See below)

Leading up to the Summit, Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown said, "My message is that we must be: internationalist not protectionist; interventionist not neutral; progressive not reactive; and forward looking not frozen by events. We can seize the moment and in doing so build a truly global society." Brown wants to bring economic decisions into alignment with social needs around the world. French President Nicolas Sarkozy, after meeting with European leaders in Paris on October 4th, called for the global summit to implement "a real and complete reform of the international financial system." Sarkozy said, "We want a new world to come out of this."

The Bretton Woods system of monetary management established the rules for commercial and financial relations among the world's major industrial states. The Bretton Woods system was the first example of a fully negotiated monetary order intended to govern monetary relations among independent nation-states. Preparing to rebuild the international economic system as World War II was still raging, 730 delegates from all 44 Allied nations gathered at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, for the United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference. . . ..

Setting up a system of rules, institutions, and procedures to regulate the international monetary system, the planners at Bretton Woods established the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) (now one of five institutions in the World Bank Group) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). These organizations became operational in 1945 after a sufficient number of countries had ratified the agreement. It is important that we intercede about this meeting and ask the Holy Spirit to intervene on behalf of the sovereignty and Constitutional identity of the United States.

12. URGENT! PRAY OVER CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES

Hundreds of Homes Reduced to Ash in California Fires Since these fires first broke out last Thursday, 800 homes have been destroyed from coastal Santa Barbara to inland Riverside County, on the other side of the Los Angeles area. Smoke blanketed the nation's second-largest city Saturday, reducing the afternoon sun to a pale orange disk. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles and Orange and Riverside counties. Fire officials estimated that at its peak 26,000 people were under orders to evacuate. As of this writing, the winds have calmed down and the firefighters have been able to make gains in containing some of the fires. However, it is expected that it will take weeks before all the fires are out.

A Letter from a Friend re: Cabinet Appointments

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." Family and Friends, I will soon send you a few thoughts on the election, but in the meantime I implore you to KEEP PRAYING for what is happening right now. The choices Mr. Obama makes for cabinet seats and about 3000 other political positions within the federal government will have enormous ramifications for every American -- as well as for years to come. Who becomes Attorney General affects which federal laws will be enforced -- and how leniently or harshly.

Who becomes Secretary of State determines what messages we will send to our long-time allies in Britain, Australia, and Israel; our new allies in Poland, Czechoslovakia, and other former Soviet republics; and our enemies in Iran, Venezuela, and communist China. Those are just two of the most visible examples, but important posts and positions abound.

PLEASE PRAY: - That Mr. Obama and his team would know the fear of the Lord God, which is the beginning of wisdom, and that their decisions would be shaped and directed by that fear.

Remember: "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes." (Prov. 21:1) - That the Lord God will thwart the plans of anyone involved in the process who is bent on evil (regardless of how well-intentioned they may consider themselves or may actually be) and bring confusion in their camp. - That despite the plans of anyone bent on evil, the Lord God will place men and women committed to righteousness within every branch and office of the Obama administration. A brush fire that roared out of control in Santa Barbara County has damaged or destroyed nearly 150 homes, charred 1,500 acres and possibly contributed to at least one death, officials said Friday.

President Alexander Lukashenko is in talks with Moscow about placing in Belarus advanced Iskander missiles that could hit targets deep inside Europe.

Anti-Vietnam War activist William Ayers spoke out for the first time Friday, calling the Republican effort to tie him to President-elect Barack Obama during the election campaign a "dishonest narrative" with the intent of "demonizing" Ayers.

World Financial Summit Moves Prophecy Clock Forward

The leaders of some 20 countries are meeting in Washington, D.C. at the invite of President George W. Bush. They will discuss how your money is going to be used to bail out a global economy. This meeting, the first of its kind in recent history, is convened to determine a global response to the worldwide economic crisis. Hundreds of billions of dollars will be on the table as these world leaders divvy up how they will spend that money to ward off what they say will be a global recession. The real intention of the meeting, however, is to establish a one world order financial system and to begin laying the groundwork for a worldwide government.

Leading up to the meeting, Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown said, "My message is that we must be: internationalist not protectionist; interventionist not neutral; progressive not reactive; and forward looking not frozen by events. We can seize the moment and in doing so build a truly global society." Brown wants to bring economic decisions into alignment with social needs around the world. In announcing the summit in early October, Bush said, "We live in a globalized world. We want to make sure that we're effective at what we do. Once we made the decision that there is a role for the federal government to move to stabilize the markets we want to make sure that all of us move in the best coordinated way as possible." The President of the European Union agreed with Bush during an October 18th meeting at Camp David. Jose Manuel Barroso said, The international financial system -- its basic principles and regulations and its institutions need reform. We need a new global financial order." These leaders all have been very careful to emphasize that the new world order must be built on democracy and capitalism.

World leaders are relying on tax money from Europe and the United States to redistribute wealth and to recapitalize worldwide banks that have been making bad loans for decades-this is a lot of democracy, but hardly any capitalism. Suggested solutions center around using tax money to increase the coffers of large international banks, global governmental ownership of banks, and as Sarkozy puts it, an "end to the American rule" over the global financial system. Ultimately, this means that to utilize global money, one must be a global citizen. As Revelation 13:17 says, "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." You are watching prophecy unfold.

Global Financial Summit in Washington

Leaders of leading developing and advanced economies prepare to meet in Washington November 15 to discuss weakening conditions in the global economy.

President Bush is opposed to a single global regulator.

The summit of leaders of 20 major advanced and emerging economies this weekend faces stiff challenges to find a plan of attack to shore up the world banking system and avert future crises.

The European Union, led by the French, and some other members of the G20 want a new global financial order, as much as an entire remake of the 1944 Bretton Woods accord that set the basis for the world's financial system after World War II. But host Washington under outgoing President George W. Bush has favored more limited initiatives, and has opposed creating a powerful supranational regulator.

Complicating decisions made this weekend, President Bush will be replaced by President-elect Barack Obama and his Democratic administration, leaving the follow-through on summit initiatives in question.

The G20 encompasses the Group of Seven countries - - Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States -- and 12 other countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea and Turkey. The 27-nation EU is also a member. Leaders of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank will also participate. (VOA, AFP)

Prayer Request:
PLEASE pray about this meeting on Sat. It will determine whether we govern our nation or whether the IMF/World Bank governs our nation. With the former will be hardship and austerity. With the latter, destruction. Look at the history of the IMF/World Bank in Haiti, in Africa, in Central America, in Argentina; the list is long and the system is lethal.

Prayer is powerful because "He who sits in the heavens laughs . . ..and holds them in derision." God can empower Bush, Sarkozy, and the others who want to stop the destruction they have thus far accomplished in other nations, and most recently in ours through the economic manipulations. Prayer is His power through His people!

"Smoking Gun" Found in Syria Incident?

Has the UN Found the Smoking Gun in the Syrian "Nuclear" Incident ?

There are widespread reports in the international media that the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) inspectors found traces of weapons-grade uranium at a site in Syria, which Israel is believed to have destroyed in an air strike a year ago. The reports suggest the uranium was discovered in June, but the story has only just been leaked to the media. Confirmation is expected to come from the IAEA's head Muhammad Al-Barade'i when the United Nations' watchdog meets at the end of this month. Since the bombing, Syria has insisted the site was used for agricultural purposes, but media reports have persisted about North Korean involvement, as well as links to Iran's nuclear program.

Prayer Focus
Pray that these findings will establish the real intent of those who seek to "wipe Israel off the map." Pray that those who insist on peace talks will demand that such activities will be totally unacceptable.

Hizbullah Slams Interfaith Conference

The Lebanese Shiite Hizbullah organization is criticizing an interfaith conference in the United States this week, on the grounds that the conference legitimizes normalization with Israel. The three-day meeting is slated to begin on November 11 and will bring together representatives from most, if not all the UN's 192 member states at the United Nations headquarters in New York. "This is a warped way to impose normalization using a backdoor channel," a Hizbullah spokesman said. Israel, he said, will not be required to pay any price in exchange. "It has nothing to do with dialogue between the religions," the spokesman added, according to UPI.

Hizbullah is backed by Syria and Iran and was engaged in a 34-day war with Israel in 2006. Hizbullah accused Shimon Peres of committing war crimes against Lebanese and Palestinians, and said the Israeli president should be standing at the International Criminal Court and not at this event. The conference was initiated by Saudi King Abdallah Bin Abd Al-Aziz and sponsored by the UN. An invitation to Israeli President Shimon Peres to speak at the event is significant, given that Saudi Arabia and Israel have no diplomatic relations. Saudi officials are denying [that] the invitation came from Riyadh, and insist it was extended by the UN. Lebanon and Kuwait, which also do not have diplomatic relations with Israel, have confirmed their participation.

Pray against the stronghold that refuses to recognize Israel and its right to exist. Pray that the power of love will overcome.

1. Obama to Quit Senate - AP

President-elect Barack Obama will resign from the Senate effective Sunday, he announced in a statement Thursday. A Sunday resignation means Obama will not be a senator when and if the chamber convenes next week for a lame-duck session.

The decision to appoint Obama's replacement rests with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Those rumored to be under consideration are Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.; Rep. Luis Gutierrez; Rep. Jan Schakowsky; Tammy Duckworth, head of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs; Emil Jones, retiring president of the Illinois state Senate. Blagojevich can also name himself, but has said he's ruled out that option. Blagojevich's appointee would serve until the next national election in 2010.

· Begin to pray now, asking for God's perfect will to be done in the seating of the next Senator from the State of Illinois. May this man or woman be one who is after God's own heart, amen.

· " . . . if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." (Matt. 18:19)

2. Palin Urges Republican Governors to Stick to GOP's Bedrock Values - Fox News

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Thursday the Republican Governors Association is committed to returning to the bedrock values of the party after a battering in the Nov. 4 election left Republicans in a weakened state across the nation.
"Let us resolve not to become the negative party, too eager to find fault or unwilling to help in this time of crisis and war," she told the gathering Thursday. "Losing an election does not have to mean losing our way, and for governors, the way forward leads through our own state capitals in reforms we will carry on or begin anew."

· We praise the Lord for the strong spirit He has placed within this wonderful woman of God! May Governor Palin's voice continue to echo across our nation, calling us to the values and the standards upon which we have stood since our beginning. Agree with God for the destiny He has designed for Governor Palin to be fulfilled. Amen.

3. MSNBC Retracts False Palin Story; Others Duped - Fox News

Network runs correction on air after reporting an adviser to John McCain had identified himself as the source of an embarrassing story about Sarah Palin, information stemming from a hoax.

· Lord we cry out to You for justice. So many stories about all the candidates were found to be hoaxes, yet only a very small percentage of the media carried the retractions for the Conservative side. Father we ask in Jesus' mighty name that You would bring truth and justice to our political system, and media, and shake out the false witness and lies that permeate the whole structure.

5. Jobless Claims Surge to 516,000; Average Trends Higher - AP

The labor market showed signs of further softening Thursday, with jobless claims surging above 500,000 and remaining well above historic recessionary levels.

· Pray for those who seek jobs in order to feed their families. Unemployment can create other difficult situations, such as increased crime rates and domestic problems. May the Lord have mercy on those who have been hurt by the economic crisis, and may He be their provider and strength.

6. Treasury may Bail Out Credit Card, Other Loan Industries, Paulson Says - CNSnews.com

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson on Wednesday announced that the federal government no longer plans to buy troubled mortgage-related assets from private banks but will expand the scope of its Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) to include non-bank financial and credit institutions.

· Lord, as the Treasury Department seems to have difficulty deciding how to spend their $700 billion, we pray for wisdom directly from You to invade their leadership. We bind confusion and greed; we loose Your Holy Spirit to blow through this situation to bring solid solutions.

7. U.S. Begins Moves to Start Offshore Drilling - Reuters

The U.S. Minerals Management Service said on Wednesday it has started the process to consider selling leases to drill for oil and natural gas off the coast of Virginia. The agency planned to issue a notice today requesting public comments and evaluating the possible environmental impacts of drilling offshore Virginia. Although the service has started gathering information, it said no official decision has been made to actually hold a lease sale. If the agency decides to allow drilling, the first lease sale for the area is proposed for 2011.

· Lord we are keenly aware that the new administration has made it clear that drilling is not in their agenda. We pray that this failure to become self sufficient in energy will be overturned, and that our energy supplies will grow and become prosperous without the need for foreign oil. Pray for wisdom for the new administration.

8. Iran, Qatar, and Russia Take Cartel Plan to Second Stage - World Tribune

Iran, Qatar, and Russia have reconvened their talks on the formation of a natural gas cartel. The three countries, the top gas producers in the world, began an energy summit on Nov. 12 in the Qatari capital of Doha. Officials said the key issue was an examination of the technical details required for the formation of a gas cartel modeled on OPEC.

· While Qatar has been relatively friendly by Arabic State standards, an alliance of any kind with both Iran and Russia would pressure them to work against the interests of the US. Pray that the Lord will intervene in any plan that would further squeeze American oil flow from the region.

9. Bin Laden Plans New Attacks Bigger Than 9/11- Newsmax

Fugitive terrorist Osama bin Laden is planning new attacks against the U.S. that will "outdo by far" the attacks of 9/11, according to a report in a London- based Arabic newspaper.

The paper, Al-Quds Al-Arabi, quotes a former senior Yemeni Al-Qaida official saying the terror group is now in a "positive phase," of staffing and rebuilding training camps around the globe. The action will lead to the next "wave of action" against the U.S., the paper reported.

"This will be shown by the fact that we now control a major part of the south of Somalia," the Yemeni source told the paper. According to the report, bin Laden is personally involved in the preparations and is looking to "change the face of world politics and economics."

Marching As to War

Facing the most pro-abortion administration in U.S. history, the Catholic Church is mobilizing to respond. In a meeting yesterday (Tuesday), 220 Catholic bishops drafted an official statement, warning Capitol Hill and President-elect Obama that passing the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would be viewed as a direct attack on religion. Back in July of 2007, Barack Obama announced at a Planned Parenthood banquet that signing FOCA was his first priority: "Well, the first thing I'd do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. ...On this fundamental issue, I will not yield and Planned Parenthood will not yield." With almost full control of Congress, Obama will be expected to live up to his promise as payback for the abortion community's support. If successful, the newly expanded majority would abolish over 300 pro-life laws and restrictions -- even reinstating partial-birth abortion.

Although the Catholic bishops have offered to work with the administration on a number of issues, the defense of life is non-negotiable. "This is not a matter of political compromise," said Bishop Daniel Conlon of Steubenville, Ohio. "It's a matter of absolutes." For some leaders, the church's forceful opposition to FOCA could be the excuse Catholic Democrats need to vote the legislation down.

If not for their conscience, members should be wary of the Bishops' warning for the mere fact that Catholics are a powerful player in the U.S. health care system. As Ed Morrissey points out, Catholics run more than 550 hospitals and 415 clinics in America, spending billions out of pocket to help the disadvantaged get the care they need. Under FOCA, religious providers would have two options: either comply with the abortion mandate or end their services completely. Is Congress so intent on appeasing Planned Parenthood that it would jeopardize the health care of 90 million Americans? We'll see.

Gay Violence Hits Churches

Intolerance: Coming Soon to a Church near You?

Barack Obama said, "I am absolutely convinced that culture wars are so nineties; their days are growing dark." One year later, the culture wars are not only here -- they're raging. In their blind fury over Proposition 8, homosexual activists are doing more to hurt their cause than help. Groups like BashBack are storming churches, stomping on crosses, vandalizing buildings, and assailing Christians. On Sunday, the protests, which are spilling into every corner of America, arrived unexpectedly on the steps of Mount Hope Church in Lansing, Michigan. About two dozen homosexuals set off fire alarms during services, rushed the pulpit, and accosted worshippers. The police didn't make any arrests, but this was far from an isolated incident. Other marches are being planned near churches as we speak.

Make no mistake; this violence is calculated. These extremists are doing everything they can to invite a new "Stonewall," hoping that a response by law enforcement will go too far and create a backlash of sympathy for the gay movement. The slightest provocation by police or Christians would be disastrous. As difficult as it is, refuse to be intimidated. As Matthew 5 reminds us, "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven."

Urgent Prayer: G20 Meeting on November 14-15 , 2008

On Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15, 2008, there will be a G-20 Leaders Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy in Washington D.C. The emergency summit was called two months ago by President George Bush to discuss the international financial crisis. Most of the discussions will take place behind closed doors, with much of the focus on the United States.

It is important that we intercede about this meeting and ask the Holy Spirit to intervene on behalf of the United States. I am in Thailand currently and preparing to speak, but felt such an urgency to pray and protect our nation at this time. I know that this meeting is one of those "hinges" of history concerning our nation.

To prepare for this time of intercession, study about the Bretton Woods conference. This weekend's G-20 meeting is being referred to as "Bretton Woods II". Martha Lucia had pulled together a report for us on the Bretton Woods System several months ago. Click here to access that report.

Shariah Finance: Update

U.S. Interest in Shariah Finance Opens Dangerous Doors

Shariah-compliant banking, sometimes called Islamic banking, is growing in popularity in the Western and Islamic worlds. But critics say American interest in the system at a time of economic crisis is opening the door to increased Islamic influence in the American banking system. Worse yet, some fear the banks may be helping to finance international terrorism.

Just two days after the election, the Bush Administration's Treasury Department is treated members of Congress, the staff of U.S. banking regulatory agencies, the Department of Treasury, and others in the White House to a high-profile forum on Islamic or Shariah Finance. The purpose of the meeting is, according to Treasury, "to help inform the policy community about Islamic financial services, which are an increasingly important part of the global financial industry. The Department of the Treasury, working with Harvard University's Islamic Finance Project, will host speakers from academia and industry to share information on the development of Islamic finance, both in the United States and globally."

Please continue to intercede for the U.S. and global economic systems.

I don't know about all of you, but I have a strong sense that we are truly living in the final moments of human history as I've been watching the events of the last week unfold. Between the outcome of the elections, these world leaders gathering to meet together, discussion of adopting a Shariah-law compliant banking system and Iran testing a missle to strike Israel, it is evident that this is a time for us to be sober, watchful and vigilant.

May God grace each of us with the ability to be bright lights in the midst of the thick darkness that is quickly covering the earth as we continue to rest our hope and trust completely in Him.

1. Federal Stake in Big 3? - AP

Congressional Democrats are pushing legislation to send $25 billion in emergency loans to the beleaguered auto industry in exchange for a government ownership stake in the Big Three car companies. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., hope for quick passage of the auto bailout during a postelection session that begins Monday.

Legislation being drafted by Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, would dip into the $700 billion Wall Street rescue money, approved by Congress last month, for the auto aid. President Bush is cool to that idea. But the White House says he is open to helping the industry, which is buckling under poor sales, tight credit and a sputtering economy.

· Ask our Lord to grant His wisdom to those who are struggling to find answers to this difficult problem.

· "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

2. Nancy Pelosi: House to Reconvene Next Week - Market Watch

Senate Already Scheduled to Return on Monday

Congress is likely to convene for a busy post-election session next week, with aid to U.S. automakers atop Democratic lawmakers' list of priorities as the industry struggles with a dramatic downturn.

With financial markets still shaky and shares of big U.S. auto companies being battered, the Senate is scheduled to reconvene Monday. The House of Representatives isn't yet officially scheduled to hold a lame-duck session but on Tuesday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for a bill to help automakers, and a leading House Democrat is working on a $25 billion loan for the companies. Pelosi said the House will convene next week.

· A lame duck session of Congress is not unusual. Ask the Lord to direct the members of the House and the Senate to consider wisely all decisions they will face during the rest of this year.

3. Georgia runoff called 2010 preview - Washington Times

"It's being billed as the 'first race of the 2010 election cycle,' and the national Democratic and Republican parties are furiously pouring money and manpower into the rematch."

"First-term Republican incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss of Georgia is trying to hold off Democratic challenger Jim Martin in a runoff vote to be held Dec. 2, which will help determine whether the Democrats can build a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and may provide an early clue to the clout and coattails of President-elect Barack Obama."

"Mr. Chambliss told reporters in Georgia Monday that the contest represented 'the first race of the 2010 election cycle.' A Martin win would put Democrats tantalizingly close to a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and complete dominance of the executive and legislative branches."

· Pray that all efforts to steal these elections will be exposed and confounded; and pray For a just and fair runoff vote.

Advisers, scholars promote controversial Shariah funding.

The Treasury Department has announced it will teach "Islamic finance" to U.S. banking regulatory agencies, Congress and other parts of the executive branch today in Washington, D.C. - but critics say it is opening a door to American funding of Islamic extremism. Read more.

· Pray that this seminar is so poorly attended that it is cancelled. However, Americans need to know about this type of conference and the foolishness of Americans even thinking about following Sharia law for the purpose of making money on Wall Street. Call for Christians to enter the world of finances and then pray for their protection from the lure of Mammon.

· "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God: for it is written, "He taketh the wise in their own craftiness." (1 Corinthians 3:19)

5.World has 100 days to fix crisis: EU leaders - Economic Times

European Union leaders backed a 100-day deadline by which the world's leading economies should decide urgent global finance reforms, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Friday. · Ask the Lord why 100 days is the limit for improving the world economies and why French President Sarkozy has the authority to make such a statement. If Americans repent and turn to the Lord for His solutions, then we can receive His blessings on our economy. What happens if the 100-day limit is not met?

· "O, fear the Lord, ye His saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him." (Psalm 34:9)

6. Bush, other leaders to promote interfaith dialogue at UN - Christian Science Monitor

The global effort to build a "culture of peace" among Christians and Muslims and other faiths is gaining some momentum this month, both symbolically and substantively.

After a groundbreaking meeting between Roman Catholic and Muslim religious leaders last week, world political leaders this week are meeting to heighten the visibility and broaden the commitment to interfaith dialogue. On Nov. 12 and 13 at the United Nations, President Bush gathers with a dozen heads of state and other leaders to lend political backing to interfaith initiatives. The prime minister of Britain, leaders of several Muslim nations, and the presidents of Israel, Lebanon, and Palestine are among those participating.

· Scripture indicates that, in the latter days, there will be a one-world religion, with a leader that all mankind will bow down to. Once again, the headlines are telling the news foretold centuries ago by the prophets of old. Scripture is true and cannot lie; there is only one way to the Father, and that is through the Cross. Pray for those who are involved in this meeting, and those who will behold it on television, asking our Lord to draw them to Himself, the one true God, unto salvation. Time is short!

· "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

7. Ads for buses for those who do not believe in God - Fox News

Ads proclaiming, "Why believe in a god? Just be good for goodness' sake," will appear on Washington, D.C., buses starting next week and running through December. The American Humanist Association unveiled the provocative $40,000 holiday ad campaign Tuesday. In lifting lyrics from "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," the Washington-based group is wading into what has become a perennial debate over commercialism, religion in the public square and the meaning of Christmas.

· Since the ad has already been accepted for the D.C. buses, pray that Christians will use any discussion to evangelize and to reach out for those seeking to know the truth. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would put the words into our mouths when we had the opportunity to speak.

The nation's Roman Catholic bishops vowed Tuesday to forcefully confront the Obama administration over its support for abortion rights, saying the church and religious freedom could be under attack in the new presidential administration.
In an impassioned discussion on Catholics in public life, several bishops said they would accept no compromise on abortion policy. Many condemned Catholics who had argued it was morally acceptable to back President-elect Obama because he pledged to reduce abortion rates.

· Pray for continued strength and conviction for Catholic bishops in their determination to convince President- elect Obama of the evils of abortion. Pray for your personal pastor to make a strong stand against abortion if that discussion is absent from the pulpit. Implore the Lord to convict the pastors in your community to stand for life, refusing to let death run rampant in our nation.

· "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (Galatians 6:9)

3. Audit of Obama Fundraising Unlikely - NewsMax

The Federal Election Commission is not likely to conduct a potentially embarrassing audit of Barack Obama's record-breaking fundraising campaign despite allegations of questionable donations and accounting.

· Ask the Lord to intervene in this issue, moving on the FEC to investigate the sources of much of the campaign funds, some of monies alleged to come from foreign sources, especially Arab, a source that is illegal for American. Ask the Lord to expose any wrong doing if any occurred.

4. Update: Obama to use executive orders for immediate impact - AP

Bush used his executive power to limit federal spending on embryonic stem cell research, a position championed by opponents of abortion rights who argue that destroying embryos is akin to killing a fetus. Obama has supported the research in an effort to find cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's. Many moderate Republicans also support the research, giving it the stamp of bipartisanship.

On drilling, the federal Bureau of Land Management is opening about 360,000 acres of public land in Utah to oil and gas drilling. Bush administration officials argue that the drilling will not harm sensitive areas; environmentalists oppose it. "They want to have oil and gas drilling in some of the most sensitive, fragile lands in Utah," Podesta said. "I think that's a mistake."

Two top House Republicans said there is a willingness to try to work with Obama to get things done. But they said to expect Republicans to serve as a check against the power held by Obama and Democratic leaders in Congress. "It's going to be a cheerful opposition," said Rep. Mike Pence, R- Ind. "We're going to carry those timeless principles of limited government, a strong defense, traditional values, to the American people." Pence, of Indiana, is expected to take over the No. 3 leadership post among House Republicans.

· Pray for a wise use of Executive orders after Mr. Obama takes office. If he is misled by his Democratic leaders, pray that the Lord will block any orders that mock the Lord's Word. Cover Mr. Pence with strength, wisdom, and determination to do what is right in the House.

Hamas held a meeting in the Gaza Strip several months ago with aides to President-elect Barack Obama, but the terror group was asked to keep the contacts secret until after last week's elections, according to a senior Hamas official. Ahmed Yousef, Hamas' chief political adviser in Gaza, told the leading Al-Hayat Arabic-language newspaper Hamas has maintained regular communication with Obama aides that even continued during the past week.

"We were in contact with a number of Obama's aides through the Internet, and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to come out with any statements, as they may have a negative effect on his election campaign and be used by Republican candidate John McCain (to attack Obama)," Yousuf told Al-Hayat. Two specific Scriptures come to mind regarding what is coming for this nation if we continue to turn against Israel. Perhaps the financial judgment we now are experiencing will look like Disneyland in the near future if our nation continues on this course. Pray for mercy and pray for the new administration!

Storms blew the Pilgrims too far north to be under Jamestown's government, so they created their own - the Mayflower Compact.
It was the first constitution written in America.

It began:

"In ye name of God, Amen. We whose names are underwritten, the loyall subjects of our dread soveraigne Lord, King James, by ye grace of God, of Great Britaine, France, & Ireland king, defender of ye faith, etc., having undertaken, for ye glorie of God, and advancemente of ye Christian faith, and honour of our king & countrie, a voyage to plant ye first colonie in ye Northerne parts of Virginia . . .."

The Mayflower Compact continued: "Doe by these presents solemnly & mutually in ye presence of God, and one of another, covenant & combine our selves togeather into a civill body politick, for our better ordering & preservation & furtherance of ye ends aforesaid;

and . . . to enacte . . .such just & equall lawes . . .as shall be thought most meete & convenient for ye generall good of ye Colonie, unto which we promise all due submission and obedience."

The Mayflower Compact ended:

"In witnes wherof we have hereunder subscribed our names at Cap-Codd ye 11 of NOVEMBER, Ano:Dom. 1620."
