Focus on Israel

1. Ousting Netanyahu: First petition filed in Israel's High Court to force PM out - World Israel News

A well-established government watchdog filed the first petition to Israel's High Court of Justice Sunday to force Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's resignation due to the indictments against him in three corruption cases.

The motion made by the Movement for Quality Government in Israel is based on two main factors. One is the fact that the charges of bribery, breach of trust and fraud are serious ones.

The other is that, in the words of the motion, "Netanyahu's severe impediment to his ministerial duties" will cause "a drop in public trust in government authorities, in the propriety of its operation and in its purity."

Netanyahu already must give up four other posts he currently holds in the caretaker government, as the petition notes that according to a Supreme Court ruling, ministers under indictment must relinquish their positions.

2. According to the Law: Netanyahu Can't Even be Indicted at this Time - Breaking Israel News

According to Israeli law, Israel's Attorney General, Avichai Mandleblit has no authority to indict the Prime Minister at this time. Conservative pundit Caroline Glick publicized the law relating to indicting members of Knesset on her Facebook page.

The law states that before the attorney general indicts a Member of Knesset such as Netanyahu, they must first submit a recommendation to the Knesset committee. The only problem is that during a transition government (as there is now), there is no Knesset committee which means that no indictment can be handed down.

The law also states that after the Knesset Committee receives the letter to recommend an indictment, the committee then has to take the time to discuss whether or not the suspect should enjoy immunity. These sessions can take months. And as long as there is no government, as is the case currently, these discussions can not even take place.

3. Israel's March Elections Fall on Purim: "The City of Shushan Was Dumbfounded" - Breaking Israel News

Once again, Israel is faced with a political impasse that will send Israelis to the ballot boxes. But this time, the timing of the elections, falling on Purim, points at a divine plan hidden behind political events.

Avigdor Liberman announced last Wednesday that he would only support a national unity government. Without the eight seats of his Yisrael Beiteinu party, Netanyahu cannot form a right-wing coalition nor can Benny Gantz form a left-wing coalition. Both have already tried and failed to cobble together coalitions. Neither is willing to make the compromises necessary to form a unity government and both have rejected the option of rotation of the position of prime minister.

According to Israeli election law, the Knesset will have 21 days, until December 11 at midnight, to find a new candidate for prime minister but at this point, it seems inevitable that Israeli citizens will be heading to the ballot boxes for the third time.

Should the Knesset fail to find a candidate for prime minister by the end of December 11, the law says an election should be held on the last Tuesday within 90 days. The 90th day after the Knesset's deadline is Tuesday, March 10, which is the holiday of Purim.

4. 106 House Democrats, Omar and Tlaib among them, slam Trump's shift on settlements - World Israel News

One hundred and six Democrats from the House of Representatives sent a letter on Friday attacking the Trump administration's shift in U.S. policy which declared that the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria were not illegal.

The letter was addressed to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Pompeo announced on Nov. 18 that a 1978 State Department legal opinion that found Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria were illegal was "inconsistent with international law."

The decision was greeted positively by Israel's right-wing and center-left.

5. If Elected, Elizabeth Warren Vows to Fight Israeli Politicians - Breaking Israel News

After it was announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be indicted on charges of bribery, breach of trust and fraud, Democratic 2020 candidate Elizabeth Warren took to Twitter vowing to fight corruption both at home and abroad.

After retweeting a CNN statement on the matter, the Massachusetts senator conflated Netanyahu's accusations with those of US President Donald Trump saying: "Netanyahu is accused of accepting bribes, trading government favors, and manipulating a free press. Like his pal Donald Trump, he'll stop at nothing to enrich himself and stay in power. This blatant corruption has no place in any democracy-I'll fight it at home and abroad."

Oddly, at the annual J-Street conference, Warren vowed to fund UNRWA despite the fact that the Jordan-based organization is embroiled in a corruption scandal involving sexual misconduct, nepotism, retaliation against whistleblowers.

The Daily Brief

1. Soros 'dark money' behind ads urging Republicans to impeach Trump - WND

A multi-million-dollar ad blitz that features military veterans urging vulnerable Republicans in swing districts to support the impeachment inquiry into President Trump is funded by a progressive "dark money" group backed by billionaire left-wing activist George Soros.

The ads were scheduled to air this week on "Fox and Friends," a favorite show of the president, in the Washington, D.C., market and in 13 Republican-held congressional districts, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported. The military veterans in the ads urge Republican representatives to "put country over politics" by holding Trump accountable for "abusing his office and risking national security for his own gain."

The Daily Caller said the ads disclose they're paid for by the group Defend American Democracy. But D.C. business registration documents reveal the group is one of the many projects of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a dark money nonprofit that received $4.5 million from Soros' Open Society Policy Center between 2012 and 2017, according to Open Secrets. (Read more)

- Father, we pray this plan for ads on Fox News against Trump will fail. Open the eyes of the American people to see the manipulation of these ads. We pray for a miracle that the Networks will fail to run them. In Jesus Name.

- Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.(Matthew 7:15)

2. Rep Nunes and Rep. Jordan insisting on whistle blowers testimony - WND

Rep. Devin Nunes, ranking member of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and Rep. Jim Jordan, ranking member of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, have written to Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who is running House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's impeachment agenda against Trump, insisting on the whistleblower's testimony.

And that's not all they want.

They also are insisting on all the details about the drafting and filing of that whistleblower complaint, all the details about Rosemont Seneca Bohai LLC and its affiliates, and Democratic National Committee communications with Ukrainian government officials. (Read more)

- Father, grant the requests of Nunes and Jordan. We pray these impeachment hearings will come to nothing. May the hearings go no further and whatever plans the Democrats put forth will fail and fall away.

- Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. (Ephesians 5:6)

3. Democrats changing vocabulary - WND

Republicans have accused House Democrats of running their impeachment investigation against President Trump for the sole purpose of damaging him in the 2020 election, knowing they haven't found an offense that will persuade the Senate to convict him.

Now the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has given Republicans fuel for their claim by conducting focus groups in key House battlegrounds in recent weeks to test "messages related to impeachment," according to the Washington Post. "Among the questions put to participants was whether 'quid pro quo,' 'extortion' or 'bribery' was a more compelling description of Trump's conduct." Citing two people familiar with the results, the Post said "the focus groups found 'bribery' to be most damning." (Read more)

- Almighty God, we know and declare that Your eyes see the righteous and the wicked and all their works. Father, we pray that You weaken the insidious ungodly acts of the House Democrats. Cut off the head of the snake that slithers in and out of the political arena. Dispatch holy angels to war against the works of evil. Let righteousness reign. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with us without a cause: but I will meditate in God's precepts." (Psalm 119:78)

4. Democratic Attorneys General Group Will Only Support Pro-Abortion Candidates - Free Beacon

The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) on Monday announced that it will only endorse candidates who publicly support "reproductive rights and access to abortion." The association said that candidates can expect financial contributions only if they share the association's pro-abortion views. "The committee will only financially support candidates who are publicly committed to protecting reproductive rights," the group said.

DAGA hopes the litmus test will "attract more diverse candidates and increase the number of women who run for the office," according to the New York Times. DAGA's announcement is part of a larger shift to the left on abortion among Democrats over the past several years. Each of the leading 2020 Democratic presidential candidates vocally supports abortion, refusing to explicitly back legal limits on the practice and collectively pushing a platform of aggressively pro-choice laws. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we ask that You withstand the DAGA group with all their diabolical agenda and totally defeat them from the roots up. Meet them at the door, Lord, and shut them all down, along with all their supporters. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"Declare God's glory among the heathen; His marvelous works among all nations. For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods." (I Chronicles 16:24-25)

5. Soros influence in VA judicial elections - IFA

Radical social justice activists will serve as the top prosecutors for three major Washington, D.C., suburbs-including the two wealthiest counties in the U.S.-after George Soros' political action committee poured $2.1 million into ordinarily sleepy local races.

In Virginia's Fairfax and Arlington counties, the "reformer" attorneys ran on platforms far to the left of the Democratic incumbents, beating them in primary races before ultimately winning the general elections.

In both cases, the incumbents expressed concern for public safety if the Soros-backed candidates took control. They also said that the activists were pushing a national platform about racism and over-incarceration that had no basis in reality in the affluent, liberal jurisdictions. (Read more)

-Almighty God, reveal Yourself to George Soros' heart to turn from his wicked ways. God, put in place a reverse reaction to all his financial influence in Virginia's judicial elections, so that the affect of his millions be valued as only paper. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"The just Lord is in the midst thereof; He will not do iniquity; every morning does He bring His judgment to light, He fails not; but the unjust knows no shame." (Zephaniah 3:5)

6. Justice and DHS reject state restrictions on ICE arrests at state courthouses - Washington Examiner

The Justice and Homeland Security departments are urging Oregon and Washington to reverse plans that bar immigration arrests in or around state courthouses, warning that the "misguided" sanctuary rules will only lead to more crime by illegal immigrants.

The letter, which includes examples of horrific crimes by illegal immigrants released in Oregon and Washington, comes after Oregon Supreme Court Chief Justice Martha Walters last week ordered the ban on arrests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Patrol.

"Given the clear public danger posed by these state laws and policies, we urge you not to adopt or enforce court rules that would make the situation worse by purporting to require ICE or CBP to obtain a judicial arrest warrant prior to making an administrative arrest for deportation," said the letter. (Read more)

-Father God, we ask that You bring order and allow immigration arrests in or around state courthouses. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"Thus says the Lord God, Let it suffice you, to remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice." (Ezekiel 45:9)

7. Bill Barr says he'd take fight to restart federal executions to Supreme Court if needed - Fox News

Attorney General William Barr revealed Thursday he'd be willing to take the administration's fight to restart federal executions to the Supreme Court if necessary.

Barr's comments to The Associated Press came after U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan ruled Thursday to postpone four of five scheduled executions for next month; the fifth already had been halted. The Trump administration appealed the decision.

If the government were to win the appeal, the executions could begin as soon as Dec. 9. Barr argued that the inmates in question were just five of 62 currently on death row. "There are people who would say these kinds of delays are not fair to the victims, so we can move forward with our first group," Barr said.

The inmates selected to face execution had exhausted their appeals, and the cases were forwarded to senior Justice Department officials who reviewed the cases and made recommendations to him, Barr added. (Read more)

-Father God, life and death are in Your hands and we submit all these cases before You to guide the decisions made by the administration. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." (Psalm 90:12)

8. Improper Medicaid Payments Top $75B - Restoring Liberty

$75 billion. That is not the cost of Medicaid. That is merely the cost of improper payments from the Medicaid program, accounting for roughly 20 percent of the total program tab, according Brian Blaze and Aaron Yelowitz writing in the Wall Street Journal.

Many people forget that most of Medicare and Medicaid are not purely "public." These programs are managed by "private" companies that line their pockets with unconstitutional government interventions and then use their status in the market to demand more subsidies lest they threaten higher prices.

In many respects, our system of venture socialism is worse than single-payer, because it combines socialism with some of the motives of capitalism, while government shields the private entities from market forces. It guarantees them an endless flow of public funds, consumer mandates, and regulatory favors (no antitrust laws, but onerous coverage burdens to keep out new competitors) to remove any need to innovate and compete. (Read more)

-Father God, we lift up to you this entire system under the heading of Medicaid payments. Reveal the inner sinful practices and bring judgment upon the deceptive practices of Medicaid. Put a guard up by restraining evil to continue. Expose and root out the bad and replace it with a godly system. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"For the Lord comes to judge the earth; with righteousness shall He judge the world, and the people with equity." (Psalm 98:9)

9. Pennsylvania governor vetoes bill outlawing abortions over Down syndrome - The Hill

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D) on Thursday vetoed a bill that would have banned abortions over a diagnosis that a fetus has Down syndrome. "This legislation is a restriction on women and medical professionals and interferes with women's health care and the crucial decision-making between patients and their physicians," Wolf wrote in an online statement. "Physicians and their patients must be able to make choices about medical procedures based on best practices and standards of care." He added that the bill's requirements were "not consistent with the fundamental rights" guaranteed by the Constitution's 14th Amendment. Wolf, an open supporter of abortion rights, vetoed the measure a day after it passed through the GOP-controlled state legislature, The Associated Press reports. The state allows women to get abortions for any reason, except to select a gender, up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. If the bill had passed, it would have prohibited abortion in the event that a fetus was diagnosed with Down syndrome, except in cases of rape, incest or a medical emergency, the AP notes.

-Almighty God, death and life are in your hands and we pray for justice regarding the lives of the unborn. Reveal to the parents and the medical staff their responsibility of taking lives into their own hands to live or die. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"That innocent blood be not shed in your land, which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance, and so blood be upon you." (Deuteronomy 19:10)

10. China and its treatment of Uyghur people - FRC

It's one of the most disturbing and elaborate cover-ups every attempted: millions of innocent people "vanishing" in the Chinese night. How do you explain to students coming home for a school break that they're parents are missing -- locked away in a Uyghur concentration camp, never to return? Simple. According to pages of leaked documents from deep within the Chinese communist state, you lie.

It was a "powder keg," Chinese officials worried. Countless students boarding planes and airplanes to come home to their families, only to find empty houses. "So," the New York Times explains, "they prepared." A top-secret, 400-page guide was distributed by authorities on how to "handle [students'] anguished questions, beginning with the most obvious -- 'Where is my family?'"

Louisa Greve, director of global advocacy for the Uyghur Human Rights Project, had a hard time reading through it all. "It's really very chilling," she told listeners of Monday's "Washington Watch." "There are detailed scripts because local officials would be facing distraught teenagers If they ask, did my parents commit any crime? The officials were told to say, 'No, However, they were infected with a religious disease and need to be re-educated.' And the scripts go much further. They basically threaten these young people. 'If you stay quiet, it will be better for your family.'" (Read more)

-Almighty God, we are witnessing Chinese insanity and unrestricted bludgeoners carrying on murders. We pray that the hand of God will come down upon these people and put a wall around them that they cannot get out. We ask that God's power will stand against them by unseen forces from heaven. Save the innocent. We pray the helpless will cry out to God to save their souls and they receive Jesus as Savior. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"Behold, it is written before God: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom." (Isaiah 65:6)

11. Beijing vs. Hong Kong - FRC

Around 100 protestors are still trapped inside Hong Kong Polytechnic University, after days of confronting the police surrounding the campus. The university has recently been the stage for some of the most dramatic events in the protests which have been going on for seven months. And as Gordon Chang told listeners on Washington Watch Tuesday, "I don't think that we're going to see an end to these protests for quite some time."

Students in the besieged university are desperate to avoid arrest, which the police have often carried out violently. The pro-democracy demonstrators have five demands (one of which was satisfied a few weeks ago). Among them are an investigation into police brutality and universal suffrage, which they currently don't have. Police violence has only fueled the demonstrations. Chang said, "the protesters who have managed to escape or who weren't on the inside in the first place are extremely angry... But we also can count on Beijing to do things which will anger people in Hong Kong." (Read more)

-Father God, miraculously free these who are held captive in Hong Kong. As You have miraculously intervened for others in the past, so bring release to these. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"Who is like unto You, O Lord, among the gods? who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders. You stretch out Your right hand, and the earth swallowed them." (Exodus 15:12)

12. Protest in Iran - WND

In a moment of startling defiance of the mullah-led regime, video from the growing Iranian protests shows a woman climbing a lamp post and tearing down a "down with USA" sign amid cheers from a crowd.

The protests, which began last Friday in response to the government's announcement of a spike in the price of gasoline, have now spread to more than 100 cities. At least 1,000 people have been arrested, according the estimates of analysts, and more than 100 protesters have been killed.

Videos on social media show banks, gas stations and government buildings on fire and protesters chanting "down with Khamenei," referring to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted to Iranian protesters on Saturday that "the United States is with you." And on Sunday, the White House condemned the regime's use of "lethal force and severe communications restrictions," criticizing a government that "abandons its people and embarks on a crusade for personal power and riches."

-Father God, we pray for the citizens of Iran who are held captive under tremendous control to be delivered and given a way of escape from the tyranny of Khamenei. God, remove him from power over the people of Iran and its government. We ask this in the Name of Jesus.

-"God delivers and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions." (Daniel 6:27)

The price of leadership

Leadership is a difficult thing. No matter how good a person is at serving others, leading by example, doing the right thing even when others think it is wrong, having good character, being a good decisionmaker, and so on, leadership has its price. The bigger the leader's responsibilities, the bigger the price. I've led a range of organizations and companies in my lifetime. From 4-H Clubs to sports teams to political campaigns to small and large companies to ministries, and all along the way there were enemies and detractors, no matter how good a job I did. There is always "that person" who finds offense and makes a big deal about it. The current leadership parallels between America and Israel are interesting.

In America, we are bombarded every day with impeachment news. The news media and politicians who oppose the President have been trying to remove him from office even before his transition team began its work in late 2016. Government progress has been obstructed at every turn. There is nothing more important to the opposition than the removal of America's elected leader. Everything he does is wrong as measured in their eyes. They use every opportunity to justify skewering him base on their own brand of logic and justice. This US President has been under attack from his enemies from day one. And there are no signs that it will let up.

Halfway across the world is another leader, the Prime Minister of Israel. He has been a good leader, a strong leader. But the very same spirit working here in America also is trying to take him out. Think back to the previous US president and all the efforts to defeat the Prime Minister of Israel that were even illegally funded with US dollars because the previous US president didn't want to deal with the Prime Minister's hard line policies against Islamic terrorists. Well, now the opposition in Israel has finally got their indictment against the Prime Minister-bribery, breach of trust, and fraud. All vehemently denied by the Prime Minister who says this is no less than a witch hunt. Others say it is a coup attempt.

See the parallel? Both leaders have different styles. Both have been successful in their lives. Both are serving the public. Both are not perfect. Yet their opposition paints them as the worst people on earth, that their every breath does harm to someone. It is amazing how the people clamor for better leadership, yet refuse to recognize good leadership when they see it. There is always the complainer. Good becomes evil and evil becomes good. The verses about leadership in the Bible require righteousness, skill, wisdom, fairness and justice. Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn." Some people mourn if they don't get their own selfish way-and many of them wail the loudest. Herein is the price of leadership.

About Ukraine

About Ukraine:

Ukraine in the News

- Father, as more and more information on the corruption of the Bidens with Burisma becomes evident, we ask that You change the hearts of the corrupt officials both here and in Ukraine. We ask that truth be revealed in a way that Your Light will shine forth so that all can see. We pray for their souls!

- "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." (1 Timothy 6:10)

1. Fiona Hill (and Dems) ignore the serious evidence of Ukrainian 2016 meddling - New York Post

In her testimony before the House impeachment inquiry, Fiona Hill, formerly of the National Security Council, took great pride in telling lawmakers she was a nonpartisan intelligence professional. She then labored mightily in service of a Democratic political narrative.

Specifically, Hill conflated two separate theories of Ukrainian collusion in the 2016 election. One of these is discredited, the other is quite viable. Hill helped the Democrats suggest that they have both been debunked. A Ukrainian court, in late 2018, concluded that two Ukrainian officials meddled in the election. And in 2018 House testimony, Nellie Ohr conceded that a pro-Clinton Ukrainian legislator was a Fusion informant.

When Republicans and most Trump supporters refer to evidence of Ukrainian collusion in the 2016 election, it is this collusion theory that they are speaking about. This theory is in no way mutually exclusive with the finding that Russia hacked the DNC accounts - it has nothing to do with the hacking. (Read more)

2. The Ukraine scandal timeline Democrats and their media allies don't want America to see - John Soloman

For weeks now, Democratic members of Congress, career State Department and National Security Council experts and their allies in the media suggest questions about Joe Biden and a Ukrainian gas company and Ukraine meddling in the 2016 election were nothing more than debunked conspiracy theories.

In reality, the facts on both these issues are clearly substantiated. And as I pointed out last week, many of the witnesses that House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff called during the impeachment proceedings confirmed concerns about both.

Here is a detailed timeline of key events in the Ukraine scandal, complete with the corroborating evidence. You make your own judgement as to what happened. (Read more)

3. Sen. Graham Seeks Documents on Joe Biden's Dealings With Ukraine - CNS News

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is requesting call records from the Trump State Department, as he launches an investigation into allegations that Joe Biden played a role in the firing of former Ukraine Prosecutor General Shokin in an effort to end the investigation of the company employing his (troubled) son.

On Feb. 4, 2016, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin's office announced the seizure of property from Mykola Zlochevksy, the founder of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas company. That seizure followed a Feb. 2 raid on Zlochevsky's home.

Graham, pointing to records obtained by media sources, said on Feb. 11, 18, and 19 of 2016, Joe Biden held a "series of phone calls" with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko regarding earlier demands to dismiss Shokin for alleged corruption. Another Biden-Porochenko phone call on March 22, 2016 happened just seven days before Shokin was removed from office. (Read more)

4. Biden conflict of interest - WND

Testifying before the House Intelligence Committee impeachment-investigation hearing on Friday, former U.S. ambassador to the Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch admitted that she was briefed by the Obama administration on Hunter Biden's position with the Ukrainian firm Burisma and agreed it had the appearance of a conflict of interest.

Yovanovitch confirmed to Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., that the Obama administration prepared her for her confirmation as ambassador with practice questions about Hunter Biden and his involvement in Ukraine. The son of Vice President Joe Biden was receiving more than $80,000 a month from Burisma while his father was Obama's point man for Ukraine policy. (Read more)

Impeachment Updates:

Four Articles to Note

1. Why Dems are so Worried After Latest Round of Impeachment Hearings - New York Post

"With signs that Americans are tuning out the impeachment hearings, the clock is ticking on Democrats' chance to make their case. Pelosi is clearly worried, telling fellow Dems it's a 'weak response' to 'let the election decide' whether President Trump should be removed," Michael Goodwin writes in the New York Post.

The letter seemed strange on Monday when Pelosi sent it to her colleagues, the editors write, "but Tuesday's hearing more than justified her fear and desperation."

2. Sen. Thom Tillis: Democrats deny Trump due process in impeachment push - Fox News

"While Democrats have spent the last three years practicing the politics of personal destruction, President Trump has been delivering results for the American people. Nearly 7 million jobs created. The lowest unemployment rate in 50 years. Transformative tax cuts for hardworking American families. More than 150 conservative judges confirmed"-and the list goes on, Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) writes in Fox News. (Read more)

3. Democrats still haven't delivered 'the goods' on Trump impeachment - Washington Examiner

"People are still waiting for Democrats to deliver on their impeachment 'scandal.' In week two of the impeachment investigation, the case is firmly closed - Democrats are trying to impeach President Trump for merely doing his job," Jenna Ellis writes in the Washington Examiner, listing three big things we learned from the hearings. (Read more)

- Father, we pray not only for full disclosure of the agenda and driving forces behind the impeachment hearings, but we take authority over the power behind them, bind it tightly, and command it to be torn down in the Name of Jesus and by His Blood.

Thank you!

Thank you!

In this week of THANKSGIVING . . . we give thanks for YOU!

One week ago, our finances were literally at the bottom of the barrel, and our Board of Directors were seeking our Lord about how to handle this challenge.
Then, our tech support specialist, Bill Lee, offered to step forward and write to all of you on our behalf.
YOUR RESPONSE HAS BEEN TREMENDOUS!

ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS!

Not only have you been generous in your giving, but ALSO by so many of you taking the extra time to WRITE TO US and to tell us how important this ministry has been in your own prayer lives!

To realize that our labor here has made such a positive impact for each one of you has brought tears of JOY to our eyes!

THANK YOU, LORD . . . AND THANK YOU, TEAM!
To be honest with you . . . tonight I almost did not write this letter to you, because this small, hissing VOICE kept insisting that, if I do so, YOU WILL STOP GIVING!

Well . . . to that I say: "GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN!" God's people WILL be faithful in their giving in the days ahead, and we rejoice at being able to share this testimony today! THIS IS HOW WE WILL WIN!

So, going forward, we entrust this ministry to all of you, once again, knowing full well that, when He speaks, you WILL obey -- not only in supporting this work, but that of others who are also plowing the fields of intercession in this end time.
So GOD BLESS YOU ALL, and . . .

TO GOD BE THE GLORY -- GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!

GIVE THANKS

"O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, because His mercy endureth forever." (Psalm 118:1)

Lyrics

O give thanks, give thanks unto the Lord,
For He is good, and His mercy endureth forever.
To Him which led His people through the wilderness,
For He is good, and His mercy endureth forever.

He turnèd the wilderness into a standing water,
And dry ground into water springs.
Strengthen ye the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees,
Say to them that are of a fearful heart,
Be strong, fear not,
Behold your God will come with a recompense.

Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened
And the ears of the deaf, of the deaf unstoppèd.
And a highway shall be there,
And it shall be callèd the way, the way of holiness.

The unclean shall not pass over it,
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But the redeemèd of the Lord shall walk therein;
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion,
To Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads,
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Strong winds in Northeast to disrupt Thanksgiving holiday plans

Strong winds are likely to add further headaches to Thanksgiving travelers hitting the roadways and taking to the sky across the Northeast around the middle of this week.

The winds will whip around a storm that will first unleash snow and possibly severe weather over portions of the central United States on Tuesday and Tuesday night.

As the storm swings eastward on Wednesday, the busiest travel day of the year, the gusty weather will charge on as well.

"Winds are forecast to increase around the eastern Great Lakes during Tuesday night and become strong and gusty over much of the Northeast from Wednesday afternoon into Thanksgiving Day," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said.

Winds are likely to reach 40-50 mph with locally higher gusts possible. "Increasing winds could end up being very disruptive to travel in the region," Sosnowski said.

Motorists, especially those of high-profile vehicles, will need to keep a firm grip on the steering wheel to avoid veering into other lanes on stretches of interstates 70, 77, 79, 80, 81, 86, 87, 90, 91 and 95. Rain accompanying the storm may add further travel difficulties by reducing visibility and creating a heightened risk of hydroplaning while traveling at highway speeds.
The windy weather will impact the major hubs of Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.

"During episodes of strong, gusty winds, officials must space out the arriving and departing aircraft," Sosnowski said. "This can cause flight delays and cancellations to increase exponentially during the heavy volume of holiday travelers."

At the very least, airline passengers will face more turbulent arrival and departure flights from these hubs.

- Father God, we ask that Your Hand of Mercy to rest upon our nation this week, to calm these storms and winds. We ask for journeying mercies for all who will be traveling this Thanksgiving weekend, amen.

'We Never Thought Twice':

Teacher Adopts Student with Down Syndrome after Mom Dies

"This past Wednesday, Jeanie Manning became a 'Queen Angel.' She fought a long, hard and often very unfair battle with cancer. We will love, protect and treasure Jake just as we promised. He will live with us forever and we will keep her memory, her love, her determination and her beautiful smile alive in his heart and ours every day! We love you 'Queen Angel Mom.' 'Our boy' will miss you terribly, but we've got this! Bremer, party of 6." -Kerry Bremer-Facebook post

A compassionate teacher has adopted her own student after his mom died of cancer.

The incredible story began four years ago with a brutally honest conversation between special-ed teacher Kerry Bremer and Jean Manning, a terminally ill mother.

Though the pair had only known each other for a matter of months, their conversation would prove to be life-altering both for Kerry and for Manning's son, Jake, who has Down Syndrome.

"I said, 'I may be overstepping here and forgive me if I am, but my family and I would like to offer guardianship for Jake if you need a backup plan,'" Bremer recalled to TODAY Parents (Faithwire.com) Read more here.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
