Honoring Our Veterans:

A Word of Blessing from the National Day of Prayer

A word to our friends at CHPP:

Monday is a very special holiday: Veterans' Day. As we write this to you, our hearts are truly filled with gratitude to all those who have served so faithfully over the history of our nation, to secure our freedoms.

We honor you!

We are also blessed to share the following Veterans' Day tribute, published yesterday by our friends at the National Day of Prayer. Below please find their message, which is truly ours, too.

God bless you and keep you all,

Sara Ballenger and the team at:
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Please note too:

The next issue of the Daily Brief will be published on Tuesday morning, November 12th.

Honoring Our Veterans

Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. (Psalm 144:1-2)

On behalf of the entire National Day of Prayer Task Force, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our Veterans who have served the United States of America and have protected freedom and liberty around the world. You and your family's sacrifices are innumerable and often unnoticed, but please know it is the NDP heart to pray for you frequently as one of our "seven mountains of influence," therefore encouraging our nation to pray for you, not just on Veterans Day or the National Day of Prayer, but every day, throughout the year.
We often use and relate to military terms to describe the life and service of "Prayer Warriors" as we fight on the frontlines of spiritual warfare. These biblical terms only deepen our gratefulness for those who have chosen to serve in the branches of our military; Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard. You put your lives at risk, serve near and far, often missing special occasions and milestone events in the lives of your family and friends. You study, train and sacrifice physically, mentally, emotionally and often even financially as you willingly work in areas of service that would oftentimes bring a much larger paycheck home in the civilian workplace.

"Thank you" just does not seem to cover the esteem and gratitude due to you, but the truth is you do not serve from selfish ambition or recognition; you serve with a heart to defend freedom and protect your country. Sometimes we forget, but you never do, that you signed up to "serve," not to be served, and not for fame and riches. I pray that we never forget to say, "thank you," and to pray for you and yours.

I am thankful that I had the privledge of being a military "brat" and a military wife. No one fully knows the hurts, hardships and the honor of being in a military family unless you are one. I am so proud of my dad and my husband, as well as my grandfather, brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, and more. Please take some time to pray for our military and their families over the next few days as we approach Veterans Day on Monday November 11th and then continue to pray for them regularly. Pray for those who are serving now and for those who are still suffering from physical or emotional injuries they suffered due to their service. Pray that they will put on the full armor of God every day as they put on their uniform and that they will know God's strength as they march, fly or sail into service each day. They serve every day and need our prayers every day.
Let's begin by praying together: Lord Jesus we ask Your protection and provision for our military personnel. Please guide the decisions being made by our President and the commanding officers as they lead our military. Guard and protect our service members as they guard and defend freedom around the world; as they fight for the weak and defenseless, the hurting and helpless. Give them victory over evil and triumph over the enemy. Please protect their families at home who miss and pray fervently for them while taking care of every aspect of life on the home front as their spouses or children serve on the frontlines. Lord, as You created the earth, sky and sea we ask that you give wisdom, protection and favor over every military member training and serving in these. Let them know Your delight in their sacrifice and we pray they would all know You and honor You as their Savior and Lord. We pray that You are their fortress, their shield, and their refuge.
Serving Him with Gladness,

Kathy Branzell, President
National Day of Prayer

Epic WWII Battle Story Told in New Major Motion Picture

The director of the film "Independence Day," Roland Emmerich, brings the Battle of Midway to the big screen in the new movie, "Midway."

Grim Situation in the Pacific in 1942

The situation in the Pacific at the time was far worse than reported. Pearl Harbor was seen as the greatest intelligence failure in American history.

Six months later, key military leaders believe the Japanese are planning something even bigger than Pearl Harbor. They thought Japan would attack Midway Island, an atoll considered an important strategic island for Japan in the war. (Breaking Christian News) Read more here.

Personal note: My husband, Jim, and I went to see MIDWAY last night at a nearby theatre, and it was worth every minute. On this Veterans' Day weekend, we encourage each of you to do the same!

Update: Kentucky Election

Bevin seeks vote recanvass while Beshear starts transition

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Republican Gov. Matt Bevin asked Wednesday for a recanvass of Kentucky election results that showed him more than 5,000 votes behind Democrat Andy Beshear, who discounted the challenge and began preparing to take office.

Beshear, the state's attorney general, said he's confident in the election outcome, saying any review would show he won the hard-fought campaign.

"Whatever process that the governor chooses to go down, it's not going to change this overall number of votes," Beshear said at a news conference. "We are going to take the steps to move forward to make sure that we are ready ... on the day that we're inaugurated."

With 100% of precincts reporting, Beshear led by a little over 5,000 votes out of more than 1.4 million counted, or a margin of less than 0.4 percentage points. That's inside the margin that would trigger a recount in most states, and it's AP policy not to call races that could go to a recount. Although there is no mandatory recount law in Kentucky, the AP is applying that same standard here.

At a news conference late Wednesday in Frankfort, Bevin said he wanted to ensure integrity in the process even as he hinted without offering evidence that there had been irregularities in the voting.

"We're in the process of getting affidavits and other information that will help us to get a better understanding of what did or did not happen," he said.

Bevin said any information turned up won't be "followed through on" until after the recanvass - an indication he could seek further review of the election results.

Kentucky's secretary of state, Alison Lundergan Grimes, scheduled the recanvass for Nov. 14. A recanvass is a check of the vote count to ensure the results were added correctly.

Beshear's campaign responded with a statement repeating that he hopes Bevin honors the election results. The campaign noted that a recanvass has never led to a reversal of an election result in Kentucky.

The governor claimed Wednesday that thousands of absentee ballots may have been illegally counted. He suggested people may have improperly turned away from the polls, and said such claims need corroboration. (AP) Read more here.

- Father God, as Your intercessors, we sense that this "too close to call" election may be a precursor of many similar results in the many elections to be held in 2020: both the primary elections and the general election one year from now. Help us, O Lord, to remain steadfast at our posts, watching and praying and trusting YOU for a true count in every race to come. Amen.
- "This is what the Lord says to me: "Go, post a lookout and have him report what he sees." (Isaiah 21:6)

30 Years Ago Today: Berlin Wall Comes Down

30 Years Ago Today: Berlin Wall Comes Down

The Fall & Our Future

By Gary Bauer

Tomorrow (today) marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. I'll never forget the emotion I felt watching that stark symbol of communism come tumbling down.

Young Germans poured out of their homes and overwhelmed the security guarding the piece of concrete that physically and psychologically separated East and West Berlin. They quickly began demolishing it piece by piece.

The seeds of the wall's destruction were planted a couple of years earlier in 1987 when President Ronald Reagan delivered one of his most famous speeches.

Standing before the historic Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin, Reagan spoke directly to the leader of the Soviet Union and forcefully declared:

"General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

While reflecting on this anniversary, I couldn't help but think of a recent poll of millennials. It found that nearly 70% of millennials are willing to vote for a socialist candidate. Even more frightening, a third said they approve of communism.

How is that possible? How can the most highly educated generation of Americans, with Google literally at their fingertips, be so clueless about what life was like under communism?

This is beyond shocking. It's scandalous. It is a damning indictment of our modern educational establishment and the elected politicians who failed to prevent that establishment from becoming an indoctrination enterprise.

Either we haven't taught our children what the Berlin Wall was and why it came down or we have taught them a lie. Sadly, I fear it is the latter.

I suspect most young Americans are being indoctrinated to believe that capitalism and free markets are evil, that America is evil. So evil, that they're willing to embrace economic and political ideas that have resulted in tremendous death and suffering.

My friends, 30 years ago I thought America had won the Cold War. Apparently, the fight against communism still continues. Only today the battlefield isn't West Berlin. The fight is on our high school and college campuses.

The conspiracy and coup against you

President Donald Trump read a Fox News story to the crowd at a Louisiana political rally quoting a tweet from the lawyer of the anonymous whistleblower on the Ukraine red flag event: "#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion #impeachment will follow ultimately." Mark Zaid, one of the whistleblower's attorneys, tweeted this January 30, 2017 after the President fired Sally Yates, then Acting Attorney General holdover from the previous White House. While this is just one tweet from one person's viewpoint, it could be considered evidence of a long-game conspiracy to overthrow an elected president, especially since Zaid is representing the whistleblower at the center of the current impeachment inquiry.

The news media is angered that Donald Trump, Jr., the president's son, outed the whistleblower in a tweet. CNN and AFP, for example, refused to print his name and warned Trump that releasing his name would be against the law. Zaid and Andrew Bakaj represent the whistleblower. The two have a small law firm representing "multiple whistleblowers in connection to the underlying August 12, 2019, disclosure to the Intelligence Community Inspector General." According to Breitbart News, Zaid and others co-founded Whistleblower Aid, a non-profit actively recruiting whistleblowers against Trump by offering discounted legal aid in return for providing dirt on the Trump Administration. You see, this is a very organized attempt to remove the president and a self-admitted coup/rebellion.

The lawyers refuse to confirm or deny the whistleblower's name because they claim it will endanger him and his family. But investigative reporter Paul Sperry identified the whistleblower on October 3 as "a registered Democrat & CIA analyst who was detailed before the 2016 election to the Obama White House, where he worked on the NSC's Ukraine desk & met w anti-Trump Ukrainian officials before being sent packing by the Trump NSC & becoming disgruntled." Real Clear Politics went a step further saying the whistleblower is Eric Ciaramella, a CIA operative who was involved with Joe Biden in getting the prosecutor investigating Biden's son fired in exchange for a billion dollar loan guarantee, and played a role in the "Pee Dossier" paid for by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

There is so much more to this impeachment inquiry than the media is reporting. These revelations take digging through massive amounts of emails acquired under the Freedom of Information Act. They no doubt point to a conspiracy to overthrow this White House. The American people need to be informed and express their outrage at this organized crime syndicate being run by the deep state and the Democratic Party. It's like Ezekiel 8:8-9 where the Lord told the prophet, "dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here." Brothers and Sisters, some of us are digging behind the wall and informing you of what we find. Please do something with the information-tell your family, your friends, speak boldly as you ought to speak.

Trump Appoints 150th Federal Judge

'Truly Momentous Achievement': Trump Marks Major Milestone with Appointment of 150th Federal Judge

These lifetime appointments will impact the federal judiciary for decades to come on big issues like abortion to religious rights.

"A truly momentous achievement," Trump said. "They will uphold our Constitution as written. These distinguished men and women are some of the most gifted scholars, respected jurists, and finest legal minds ever placed on the federal bench."

Of the 179 positions on the circuit court, 43 are occupied by President Trump's nominees. Four seats are currently open with five more expected to become vacant soon.

In comparison, President Obama nominated 55 circuit judges during his entire 8 years in office.

"Percentage wise you'll never beat one man and you know who that is, George Washington, 100%," said Trump. "But in terms of, I would like to say quality and quantity, we are going to be just about number one by the time we finish."

But confirming these nominees hasn't always been easy.

Democrats and liberal groups have ramped up their opposition against conservatives, like Amy Coney Barrett who was criticized for her Catholic faith.

And most recently, Lawrence VanDyke was accused by the ABA of bias against LGBTQ people. "He's done work for groups like Alliance for Defending Freedom and that flags him as, oh, you must be someone who will be unfair for example to LGBT litigants before him, which he said they unfairly said that he wouldn't say he would be fair to all litigants and that's not true," Judicial Crisis Network Carrie Severino said. "(VanDyke said), 'I believe everyone is made in the image and likeness of God and they need to be treated equally'." (Breaking Christian News) Read more.
- Father God, we pause tonight and offer thanks for this historic landmark in the Trump Administration on behalf of our judicial system. Keep all protected, we pray, and keep Your eye upon them, in Your name, amen.

- "The God of Israel said,
The Rock of Israel spoke to me,
'He who rules over men righteously,
Who rules in the fear of God,
4 Is as the light of the morning when the sun rises,
A morning without clouds . . ."

(2 Samuel 23:23,24)

"Coup Has Started" . . .

'Coup Has Started,' Whistleblower's Attorney Said in 2017
"Mark Zaid, one of the attorneys representing the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the Democrats' ongoing impeachment inquiry, tweeted conspicuously in January 2017 that a 'coup has started' and that 'impeachment will follow ultimately,'" Gregg Re reports for Fox News.

Zaid also predicted via tweet that "CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president," and told his followers amid a flurry of impeachment-related posts that "'as one falls, two more will take their place,' apparently referring to Trump administration employees who defy the White House."

Amid a slew of impeachment-related posts, Zaid assured his Twitter followers that "as one falls, two more will take their place," apparently referring to Trump administration employees who defy the White House. Zaid promised that the "coup" would occur in "many steps."

The tweets, which came shortly after President Trump fired then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates for failing to defend federal laws in court, are likely to fuel Republican concerns that the anonymous whistleblower's complaint is tainted with partisanship. Trump's call with Ukraine's leader, which is the subject of the complaint, occurred in July 2019.

"The whistleblower's lawyer gave away the game," the Trump campaign's communications director, Tim Murtaugh, told Fox News. "It was always the Democrats' plan to stage a coup and impeach President Trump and all they ever needed was the right scheme. They whiffed on Mueller so now they've settled on the perfectly fine Ukraine phone call. This proves this was orchestrated from the beginning."
Added House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy: "We should take [Zaid] at his word that this is a coordinated, premeditated plot to overturn the election." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You that it is our own President who is the Chief Whistleblower in Washington. We ask for divine strength, anointing, empowerment, wisdom and courage as he continues to confront all the alligators still lurking in the swamp, one step at a time. Keep our President safe, dear Lord, under the shelter of Your wing. We ask this in Your name, amen.

- "See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To pluck up and to break down,
To destroy and to overthrow,
To build and to plant."
(Jeremiah 1:10)

Obama Implicated in Probe

Clapper Implicates Obama in Trump-Russia Probe

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said that the Department of Justice's investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe is "disconcerting" because he and his intelligence community colleagues had only "done what we were told to do by the president."

That president would be Barack Obama.

In an Oct. 7 interview, CNN's Jim Sciutto asked Clapper: "As you know, the President has members of this government, you have the Attorney General traveling the world now meeting with U.S. intelligence partners trying to find out, in his view, whether they participated in some sort of Obama administration led effort to undermine President Trump in the last election here. You also know that John Durham who is a prosecutor here, a senior justice department official, he's pursuing his own investigations on the origins of that probe. Are you concerned that Barr's or Durham's investigation will find wrongdoing and seek to punish former intelligence officials?
. . . Clapper: "It's kind of disconcerting now to be investigated for, you know, having done our duty and done what we were told to do by the president."

Clapper's revelation on Oct. 7, analysts say, is another major sign that the deep state is in panic mode as the DOJ investigates the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation.

Radio host Rush Limbaugh said: "Folks, can you say in any other time and place 'bombshell?' (World Tribune) Read more here.

BUNDLE UP!

A Quick Word to our Prayer Partners:

Next Week: BUNDLE UP!
Next week's Arctic blast will be so cold, forecasters expect it to break
170 records across US

This week's cold snap is only an appetizer compared with the main Arctic blast that's coming next week, meteorologists said. That freeze could be one for the record books.

"The National Weather Service is forecasting 170 potential daily record cold high temperatures Monday to Wednesday," tweeted Weather Channel meteorologist Jonathan Erdman. "A little taste of January in November."

The temperature nosedive will be a three-day process as a cold front charges across the central and eastern U.S. from Sunday into Tuesday.

The front will plunge quickly through the northern Plains and upper Midwest Sunday, into the southern Plains and Ohio Valley Monday, then through most of the East Coast and Deep South by Tuesday, the Weather Channel said.
In addition to the cold, a storm system may develop over the central USA, AccuWeather said, bringing icy conditions to the central Plains near the dividing line of warm and cold air next week.

Snow may be in the forecast for portions of the eastern and even southern USA as the storm is likely to track in that direction into the middle of the week.

Once each week, on Sunday mornings and for 24 hours, join with others in OPERATION RESTORATION . . .

"Operation Restoration"

This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!

"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.

It is written:

. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."

This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.

Abba so desires to hear our prayers . . . He is just waiting to heal us!

You can join us, any Sunday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST by calling:
712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#
Each week, our conference line for Operation Restoration will remain open until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.EST -- allowing for 24 hours of nonstop prayer before our King of Kings, that He might, indeed, "heal our land." Amen.
