Intercessors for America Helps Us Take Action!

Dear Friends,

Last Friday (November 1st), Intercessors for America (IFA) welcomed a speaker on their monthly conference call who is an elections expert, Cleta Mitchell.

Ms. Mitchell served as Congresswoman from Oklahoma for 8 years, and has more than 40 years of experience in law, politics and public policy. Ms. Mitchell practices before the Federal Election Commission, the ethics committees of the US House and Senate and similar state and local enforcement bodies and agencies.

As IFA's listeners prayed with, and learned from this well-regarded elections expert, they learned valuable insight about the 2020 election, and were given strategies for both prayer and action to pursue.

If you missed the call, you can call the replay line: (712)775-7431, access code 2452#.

Below please find several points that were noted during this call, which was held on Friday, November 1st.

1. The action taken last week in the House of Representatives simply approved an inquiry that may lead to drafting Articles of Impeachment against President Trump.

2. (Direct quotes) What can we do about the impeachment? We need to call both Representatives and Senators telling them to stop this madness and not allow the Articles of Impeachment to proceed

3. The Senators must know that this impeachment (inquiry) is not a real process. Call them once a week until they stop this. Contact both of your state's senators and your own congress until it stops.
4. Where we are now: The normal impeachment process is when there are representatives of both parties as well as the President, there asking questions, seeing documents, etc. it all being very transparent. Yesterday (Halloween) the vote that passed was only in response to the public outcry. There was no change except it eliminated the presence of the House Oversight Committee rep. They have not yet voted on the Articles of Impeachment.
5. Cleta prayed: "Let them understand how important this is to our country. Stop the process Let them desire to do what is just and right. Remove the blindness. Pour out blessings on them so they will choose to do rightly."

6. Cleta also addressed the darkness involved with re-districting that will affect us all.

You can learn more about the Articles of Impeachment by going to Wikipedia here.
or here:
WHAT TO DO IF YOU CANNOT GET THROUGH TO YOUR MEMBER OF CONGRESS OR SENATORS
Here are the steps you can take to reach your member of Congress or Senators to voice your concern re: blocking any attempt to draft Articles of Impeachment against President Trump.
1. First things first: Google the member's name; then go to the website shown.

2. This will take you to his or her main page. On that page, look carefully on the menu. At the bottom of the page, you will see a section heading titled (usually): Contact Us.

3. Hit that section with your cursor. Another page will be displayed, showing the member's phone number in Washington, D.C., and in several district offices back home.

4. You may want to skip trying to reach the D.C. office, and simply call any of the local offices listed on that page. Those staffers will be happy to take your call, and to then relay your message on to your member.

5. Even at the local level, if you can't get through, keep trying! (A "hot" issue like this one will generate a high volume of calls; you will get through in time.)

Suggested Script:

"Hello. I am calling to ask (Senator/Congressman) xxx to not allow the Articles of Impeachment to proceed. If this comes to a vote, vote NO. Thank you."

And . . . thank YOU!

2. Gantz hits Netanyahu as missiles rain from Gaza: 'In government I will form, we'll know how to fight'- World Israel News

"We will restore deterrence and we will know how to fight," Blue and White leader Benny Gantz said on Saturday night at a rally in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv attended by 30,000 to honor the memory of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated on Nov. 4, 1995.

"In the government that I will form, we will restore deterrence, by any means available to us. Hamas leaders will be held personally responsible. Hamas headquarters will be destroyed and the time of showing restraint will come to an end if there is not complete quiet in the south," Gantz said.

Hoping to fill Rabin's shoes as a tough leader who will work for peace, Gantz, a former IDF chief of staff, as was Rabin, made his remarks in the light of a recent rocket barrage from Gaza

The incident occurred late Friday when terrorists launched two barrages of 10 rockets into southern Israel within minutes.

3. Bennett: I release Netanyahu of any commitment to me; we just need a government - Times Of Israel

New Right chairman Naftali Bennett said Saturday that he would be okay with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu breaking up the bloc of right-wing parties and would be prepared to sit in the opposition as a result, if that meant a coalition could be formed that would prevent a costly third election inside a year.

Implying support for a potential Likud-Blue and White unity government, Bennett told Channel 12: "If I am an obstacle to forming a government, I release Netanyahu from any commitment to me and to the New Right and am ready to sit in the opposition. The main thing is to get a government established."

The remarks appeared to represent the first signs of willingness among Netanyahu's political allies to break up the bloc of right wing and ultra-Orthodox parties formed after September's election that Blue and White leaders have claimed is preventing them from forming a government. Netanyahu has insisted on negotiating on behalf of all 55 MKs; Blue and White, led by Benny Gantz, have said the stance is a transparent ruse to ensure Gantz cannot form a government, dooming Israel to yet another election.

4. IDF preparing for resumption of rocket fire - Israel National News

The IDF has made adjustments in the layout of the Iron Dome anti-missile system over the past 24 hours and prepared for the possibility that the rocket fire from Gaza would resume.

The Palestinian Arab newspaper Al-Quds reported, citing Palestinian sources, that the Islamic Jihad terrorist attack is behind the rocket fire during Shabbat.

The Political-Security Cabinet will meet on Sunday afternoon in wake of the escalation in the security situation in the south.

The Israel Air Force attacked between 13 and 15 targets throughout Gaza, including targets belonging to the military wing of Hamas, in retaliation for Friday's rocket fire which hit a home in Sderot. No injuries were reported in most of the attacks.

Among the targets of the IDF attack: a military compound of the Hamas air defense system, a military compound used by the organization's naval force, underground infrastructure and a weapons production site.

Meanwhile, in addition to the rocket fire from Gaza, an explosive device booby trapped inside a book was located on Saturday afternoon by hikers in Nahal Re'im.

5. ISIS in Sinai, sitting on Israel's doorstep, swears allegiance to new Islamic State leader - World Israel News

The ISIS affiliate in Sinai swore allegiance to the new leader named by the group following the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, it announced on the messaging app Telegram on Saturday.

The ISIS branch in Sinai posted pictures of about two dozen fighters standing among trees, with a caption saying they were pledging allegiance to the new leader.

Abu Ibrahim al-Hashemi al-Quraishi was named head of ISIS after al-Baghdadi was killed in a raid by U.S. special forces in northern Syria, where he was hiding out in a compound close to the Turkish border. A Thursday audio message announced Quraishi would lead ISIS and confirmed Baghdadi's death. It also vowed revenge against the U.S.

The ISIS Sinai branch is a threat to both Israel and Egypt. ISIS has tried to attack Israel from Sinai but has failed due to Israel's intelligence capabilities.

The Daily Brief

1. October Jobs Report Smashes Expectations as Wages Also Move Upward - Western Journal

The Trump economy defied expectations in October, adding 128,000 jobs despite the effects of a since-settled General Motors strike. In announcing the robust job creation numbers for October, the Bureau of Labor Statistics recalculated some past months, showing even stronger economic growth than had been reported earlier. The report showed that in August, the economy added 219,000 jobs, instead of the 168,000 initially reported. In September, the economy added 180,000 jobs, not 136,000 as initially announced.

President Donald Trump was quick to share the economic good news with his Twitter followers. "Wow, a blowout JOBS number just out, adjusted for revisions and the General Motors strike, 303,000. This is far greater than expectations. USA ROCKS!" Trump tweeted . . . (Read more)

3. Haley Recalls Serving With Some Who Tried to Undermine Trump; 'What's At Stake is the Constitution - CNSNews.com

Officials serving in the administration are not free to push their "personal agenda" if they do not like President Trump, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said this week, arguing that "we have one president at a time, and that president attained his office by the choice of the American people."

Haley recalled serving in the Trump administration "alongside colleagues who believed that the best thing to do for America was to undermine and obstruct the president." "Some wrote about it anonymously in The New York Times," she said, evidently referring to the provocative September 2018 op-ed entitled "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration." "Others just did it," Haley added. "They sincerely believed they were doing the right thing. I sincerely believed they weren't," she said.

". . . if you serve in the administration, you are not free to push your personal agenda. What's at stake is not President Trump's policies. What's at stake is the Constitution." (Read more)

We pray in Jesus' Name.

- "Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding." (Proverbs 9:6)

4. Whistleblower's attorneys circle the wagons as identity revealed - WND

Attorneys for the whistleblower who submitted the complaint that triggered the Democrats' impeachment inquiry declined to confirm or deny that their client was CIA analyst Eric Ciaramella, reported the Washington Examiner. RealClearInvestigations reported Wednesday that Ciaramella was the whistleblower, calling his identity "an open secret inside the Beltway."

Attorneys Mark Zaid and Andrew Bakaj told the Examiner in a statement: "We neither confirm nor deny the identity of the Intelligence Community Whistleblower." Zaid and Bakaj said their client "is legally entitled to anonymity. Disclosure of the name of any person who may be suspected to be the whistleblower places that individual and their family in great physical danger," they wrote. "Any physical harm the individual and/or their family suffers as a result of disclosure means that the individuals and publications reporting such names will be personally liable for that harm. Such behavior is at the pinnacle of irresponsibility and is intentionally reckless."

RealClearInvestigations reporter Paul Sperry said federal documents reveal that the 33-year-old Ciaramella is a registered Democrat "held over from the Obama White House" who previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan. Only the Intelligence Community inspector general is legally bound to maintain the whistleblower's confidentiality. But Sperry made a case for the disclosure, arguing for the "public's interest in learning details of an effort to remove a sitting president from office."

Ciaramella was Ukraine director on the National Security Council at the end of the Obama administration and through the early months of the Trump administration, when he briefly was acting senior director for European and Russian affairs. Further, Sperry said, Ciaramella left his NSC post in mid-2017 amid accusations of "working against Trump and leaking against Trump," according to a former NSC official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that You will reveal the whistleblower's identity as well as his false reports that were made against President Trump. Judge this from heaven, O Lord. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is His Name: He shall thoroughly plead their cause, that He may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of the enemies." (Jeremiah 50:34)

5. Halperin book: Never Trumpers plot with Democrats to doom Trump 2020 reelection - Washington Examiner

Never Trump Republicans are secretly plotting with Democrats to foist a moderate Republican onto the 2020 ticket as an independent with hopes the third-party candidate would pull enough votes away from President Trump to guarantee the election to the Democratic nominee, according to a new book by political journalist Mark Halperin.

The "moonshot project," which would begin next spring, would have a goal of pulling at least 3 points away from Trump's reelection, enough to rob him of reelection in a close election.

He listed several names in the mix besides Romney, who has been in a tiff with Trump. They include Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson, and former Rep. David Jolly of Florida. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, this one thing is true: If God is for you, who can be against you, and win. Lord, we call upon You as being the highest power in the world, to defend Donald Trump to be re-elected to serve as President in 2020. Strengthen his position daily. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "Now therefore go, and God will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say." (Exodus 4:12)

6. Paula White Cain Officially Joins President Trump's White House Staff - Charisma

Paula White Cain is reportedly joining White House staff, according to The New York Times. Cain has served as President Donald Trump's spiritual adviser, and their relationship reaches back years before he ran for president.

Cain will now officially work as adviser to the Trump administration's Faith and Opportunity Initiative, which works to give a voice to faith communities in government programs, reports say. Trump established the initiative last year by executive order with the goal of furthering causes important to religious communities, such as religious freedom and helping the poor. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we pray the power of our God be upon Pastor Cain and all the intercessors who have joined together to pray for President Trump. May their prayers be so anointed that they will route out all the demonic forces working against our President. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

- "I exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (I Timothy 2:1-2)

7. FREE SPEECH VICTORY: Kentucky Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Christian Print Shop Owner - CBN

The court found that the Gay and Lesbian Services Organization (GLSO) did not have a legal right to sue Adamson or his business for declining to print a message that violates his religious beliefs. For more than seven years, Adamson has been battling in court for the right to run his business consistently with his faith.

Justice David Buckingham said that "Hands On was in good faith objecting to the message it was being asked to disseminate." He also explained, quoting what the US Supreme Court wrote last year in Janus v. AFSCME, that "When speech is compelled, individuals are coerced into betraying their convictions. Forcing free and independent individuals to endorse ideas they find objectionable is always demeaning . . ."

No member of the court disagreed with what Buckingham wrote. (Read more)

8. Beto O'Rourke drops out of 2020 presidential race - Washington Examiner

Beto O'Rourke has ended his bid for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

The former Texas congressman made the announcement on Friday in a series of tweets, saying, "I am announcing that my service to the country will not be as a candidate or as the nominee."

Despite several campaign resets and an impressive fundraising haul of $6.1 million in the first 24 hours following announcing his White House run, the former Texas congressman failed to capture the excitement that surrounded his 2018 Senate race.

While that effort to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz failed, O'Rourke, 46, became a media darling and set the record for receiving the most votes by a Democrat in state history. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we praise Your Name for keeping a clear ledger of who is Your will to be on the ballot. We pray always for Your guidance. In the Name of Jesus.

- "With the Lord is wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding."

9. Feds Bust Mexican Cartel-Linked Fentanyl Dealer in Indiana - Breitbart

McALLEN, Texas - Federal authorities arrested an Indiana-based drug dealer whose organization is linked to the distribution of large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

This week, the U.S. Marshal's Service arrested in the Rio Grande Valley Ramon Solis on an outstanding warrant from the Southern District of Indiana, court records revealed. Solis went before a U.S. Magistrate Judge who ordered he be held without bond, pending further hearings and eventual extradition to Indiana.

According to the criminal indictment, Solis is described as working for Hugo Hernandez who in turn "coordinated with individuals in Mexico to distribute drugs in Indianapolis." A complaint filed after Hernandez's September arrest revealed the criminal organization not only distributed large quantities of methamphetamines in Indiana, but also in Chicago and other parts of Illinois. Available court documents do not reveal which cartel supplied Hernandez with the narcotics, however, Chicago and Indiana have historically been supplied by the Sinaloa Cartel. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we thank You for coming against the Mexican Cartel-Linked Fentanyl Dealer in Indiana and pulling down those evil forces. We pray You will shine a holy Light over all of America and draw out this wickedness so our land can be cleansed. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"Keep us as the apple of the eye, hide us under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked that oppress us, from our deadly enemies who compass us about."

10. Overdose Deaths Drop Sharply in States Hard Hit by Opioid Crisis - Bloomberg Law

The nation's deadly opioid epidemic shows signs of ebbing as the Trump administration Oct. 30 reported a 5.1% drop in overdose deaths, with sharper declines in some of the most hard-hit states.

The administration saw a 5.1% decrease in overdose deaths in 2018, including a 24% reduction in Ohio, 17% in Kentucky, and 9% in West Virginia, White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway said in a call with reporters.

Over 72,000 people died of a drug overdose in 2017, and 40,000 of those were caused by opioid overdoses, according to preliminary data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Curbing the deadly epidemic has been a top priority for President Donald Trump.

Administration officials also reported declines in overdose deaths in Pennsylvania (23%), Iowa (19%), and New Hampshire (11%). (Read more)

- Father God, once again we praise You for the amazing blessings our nation is enjoying under the leadership of Donald John Trump. We pray that these blessings will, indeed, continue as President Trump serves two full terms in office. In Your name, amen.
- "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6)

11. Thousands of migrants sent back to Mexico under Trump policy have given up their asylum claims: DHS - Fox News

Thousands of migrants returned to Mexico under the Trump administration's "Remain in Mexico" policy have given up their asylum claims, with many of them returning home, according to statistics included in a new assessment of the policy released this week by the Department of Homeland Security.

The policy, known formally as the Migrant Protection Protocols, sends migrants seeking asylum at the southern border back to Mexico for the duration of immigration proceedings. It is a cornerstone of the administration's efforts to end "catch and release," by which migrants are released into the U.S. while their cases are heard.

So far, the administration has returned more than 55,000 migrants to Mexico. The assessment describes the policy as an "indispensable tool in addressing the ongoing crisis at the southern border and restoring integrity to the immigration system." It says that it has completed almost 13,000 cases as of Oct. 21.

The new assessment, significantly, cites estimates from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that approximately 20,000 migrants are currently being sheltered in Mexico near the U.S. border as they still seek entry to the U.S. The assessment says that number, though, suggests "a significant proportion of the 55,000+ MPP returnees have chosen to abandon their claims." (Read more)

- Father, we praise You for the success of this new policy, and we ask for its continued success in the future.

- "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." (Psalm 150:6)

12. Trump Approves Plan to Cap Refugees at 18,000 in 2020 - Newsmax

President Donald Trump has signed off on a plan that continues a dramatic drop in the number of refugees taken in by the U.S. to no more than 18,000 in fiscal year 2020.

In the last full year of the Obama administration, the refugee ceiling was 85,000. This year, the Trump administration set the limit at 30,000. That number was the lowest since the modern resettlement program's creation in 1980. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for the courage shown by our President in implementing this policy, so that our country is able to "take care of our own" first. We pray for those who must be turned away, commending them to You as they seek safe shelter elsewhere. In Your Name, amen.

- "For You have been a refuge for the poor, a stronghold for the needy in distress . . . " (Isaiah 25:4)

13. Pompeo: 'We're Finally Realizing' How 'Truly Hostile' China's Communist Party is to the US - CNSNews.com

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday the United States needs to confront rather than accommodate China's communist government, saying administrations going back decades had encouraged China's rise, "even when that rise was at the expense of American values, Western democracy and security, and good common sense."

"Today, we're finally realizing the degree to which the Chinese Communist Party is truly hostile to the United States," he told an audience at the Hudson Institute in New York, delivering an opening salvo in what he said would be several upcoming speeches on the topic.

Pompeo drew a distinction between the people of China and the government, describing the ruling party as "a Marxist-Leninist party focused on a struggle and international domination - we need only listen to the words of their leaders. The communist government in China today is not the same as the people of China. They're reaching for and using methods that create challenges for the United States and for the world," he said. "And we collectively, all of us, need to confront these challenges from the [People's Republic of China] head-on."

. . . "Today, we're finally realizing the degree to which the Chinese Communist Party is truly hostile to the United States and our values, and its worst deeds and words, and how they impact us." (Read more)

- Father, we pray for China to be at peace with its own people and its neighbors. We pray the United States will hold China accountable for its actions, and U.S. Businesses will break free from China's control.

- Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)

14. North Korea tests 'super-large rocket launchers' - Israel National News

North Korea conducted another test of "super-large multiple rocket launchers" successfully on Thursday afternoon, the state news agency KCNA reported. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un "expressed satisfaction" and congratulated the scientists who had developed the weapon, according to the report.

Thursday's test verified that the "continuous fire system" of the multiple rocket launchers is able to "totally destroy" a group target of the enemy by a surprise strike, said KCNA.

Trump has said he's "not happy" about North Korea's persistent testing of short-range missiles but denied the launches violate any agreement.

Earlier this week, a senior North Korean official warned that his country is "running out of patience" with the United States.

The official warned that a close personal relationship between Trump and the North Korean leader alone would not be enough to prevent nuclear diplomacy from derailing. He further stated that there has been no substantial progress in relations despite the warm ties between the two leaders. The persisting hostility means "there can be the exchange of fire at any moment", he added. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that You will stretch out Your Holy Spirit over America to protect it from the North Korean rocket launchers. Send Your mighty warrior angels to fight the evil acts of enemy countries and keep America safe. Defeat North Korea in their efforts to spread death over the earth by their ungodly maneuvers. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "Yea, all kings shall fall down before God: all nations shall serve Him." (Psalm 72:11)

The Deep State assault on YOU

There was a vote Thursday by the House of Representatives to formalize the impeachment process and rules and go public with it. All but two Democrats voted for the resolution. No Republicans voted for it. The Democrats are going to make this vote seem like they are finally opening up the process for public scrutiny. But they are not. Don't be fooled by the media narrative. The Democratic Leadership set the rules and voted down all Republican suggestions. They are controlling the witnesses, the information, even down to the editing of the transcripts-think about that-editing what people testified, even controlling who gets to ask the questions. This is by no means a fair and transparent proceeding.

To give you a real indicator of this impeachment process, look at the "deep state," the unelected keepers of the one world order buried deep in the gut of American government. CSPAN covered former CIA Acting Director John McLaughlin praising the "deep state' for its role in impeaching the president. McLaughlin said, "Thank god for the Deep State. Everyone here has seen this progression of diplomats and intelligence officers and White House people trooping up to Capitol Hill right now and these are people doing their duty and responding to a higher call. With all of the people who knew what was going on here, it took an intelligence officer to step forward and say something about it, which was the trigger that unleashed everything else." Special attention should be noted to, "which was the trigger that unleashed everything else."

McLaughlin continued, "This is the institution in the U.S. government with all of its flaws, and it makes mistakes, is institutionally committed to objectivity and to telling the truth. It is one of the few institutions in Washington that is not in a chain of command that makes or implements policy. Its whole job is to speak the truth. Is engraved in marble in the lobby." The truth, however, is however the "deep state" decides to spin it. The intelligence community believes it, not the voters, are the keepers of the Republic. "Assault on Intelligence" is a book written by Michael V. Hayden, former director of the CIA. The book spreads half-truths, leaves out important details, and cites second-and-third-hand information to advance the opinion that Trump is undercutting the intelligence community, and by doing so, he is undermining American democracy.

It is no coincidence that the impeachment juggernaut emanates from the House Intelligence Committee chaired by Adam Schiff (D-CA), who is using the "deep state" as its source. The only version of truth America will hear from this charade is the "deep state's" and leftist Democrat's carefully propagandized narrative, even to the point of editing transcripts. While the Democrats accuse Trump of editing the Ukraine transcript, they are openly passing rules that allow the edit of transcripts. See how they accuse others of exactly what they are doing? It is if our nation is pleading Psalm 94:16 to each of us: "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?" Don't be asking, "What should I do?" DO SOMETHING. Get with others. Talk about it. Speak boldly. Call. Be vocal and active.

Five Things You Should Know About The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)

"Five Things You Should Know About The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)" looks at one of the most deceptive radical Islamist groups, which masquerades as a "civil rights" group, and breaks down key takeaways we believe the public should know about it.

From its terrorist roots in Hamas to its current apologia of Islamist terrorist groups to its ubiquitous current of anti-Semitism, CAIR is a group that has become legitimized in many circles by a compliant mainstream media, from The New York Times to The Washington Post to PBS. Moreover, CAIR has increasingly enjoyed the support of many local and federal politicians, as well as government agencies.

In this new nine-minute video, the IPT presents five documented, undisputed facts about CAIR. Please share it with as many people as you can.

Classic Hymns

HIGHER GROUND "Let us go up to the mountain of the Lord." (Micah 4:2)

Lyrics

1 I'm pressing on the upward way,
New heights I'm gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
"Lord, plant my feet on higher ground."

Refrain:

Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Canaan's tableland;
A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2 My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

3 I want to live above the world,
Though Satan's darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

4 I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I'll pray till rest I've found,
"Lord, lead me on to higher ground."

Threat of flooding lingers after storm kills one person, triggers power outages in New York

Heavy rainfall led to massive flooding in Herkimer County, New York, on Nov. 1, which caused road closures, collapsed a bridge and left one person dead.

Herkimer County, New York, remains under a flash flood warning until Monday afternoon as flooding from a possible dam failure continues to flood the southern portion of the county.

Around noon on Saturday, Nov. 2, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch through Monday afternoon for southern Herkimer County, southern Fulton County and Montgomery County due to a potential dam failure condition on the West Canada Creek below the Brookfield Trenton Falls Dam.

The NWS Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service recorded water levels of West Canada Creek at Kast Bridge at 10.94 feet on Thursday, surpassing the record of 10.5 feet.

In the town of Norway, in Herkimer County, New York, 82-year-old Father John Connery had been driving through the floodwaters of the overflowed Factory Brook on Thursday night, Syracuse News said. Troopers told the news station that the shoulder of the road had collapsed, trapping the car on its side and the passenger side in the new chasm.

Connery had exited his car, a witness told the news station, and had attempted to walk across the floodwaters when he fell and was unable to fight against the strong current. The New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team recovered his body on Friday morning. Herkimer County was among the 12 counties that declared a state of emergency. - Father God, we lift up those who today are grieving the death of Father John Connery. May each one be comforted, in Jesus' name, amen.

25 spiritual advisers pray over Trump's 'unjust' impeachment hearings

A group of 25 pastors and faith leaders reportedly were asked by United States President Donald Trump to lay their hands on him and pray during a meeting with him at the White House on Tuesday, according to Charisma News.

Among the faith leaders was Paula White, Trump's spiritual adviser and a new adviser to the Office of Public Liaison's Faith and Opportunity Initiative.

Other pastors and faith leaders included Jentezen Franklin, Dr. James Dobson, Greg Laurie, Ralph Reed Jr., Jack Graham, Robert Jeffress, Samuel Rodriguez, Tony Perkins and Guillermo Maldonado.

Some of the leaders praised the president's "pro-family" and "pro-biblical" values, while others prayed against what they considered "unjust" impeachment hearings.

White wrote on Instagram that it was "an honor to be @whitehouse on Tuesday to pray for @realdonaldtrump and our nation!"

She mentioned that they were able to discuss the "many great accomplishments" of Trump's leadership.

"He continues to work tirelessly on behalf of the American people," wrote White. "I call all believers to pray as the Word tells us .. 'if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land' 2 Chronicles 7:14...#prayer #potus #nation #blessed #God #USA #WH."

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
