Rocket Sirens Blare: Israel under Attack after IDF Targets and Kills Major Terror Leader in Gaza Strip

Today, as we write this to you, Israel is under attack by missiles launched from Gaza. sending Israelis to their bomb shelters, seeking safety; and causing the IDF to retaliate, in kind.

Below please find a series of articles, bringing news of these rapidly changing events in Israel. We invite our readers to pray in the Spirit over each headline, and to claim Psalm 122:6 for Jerusalem. It is written:

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you. Let us pray, too, for the safety of all civilians on the land, as these bombings continue.Thank you!

1. Rocket Sirens Blare: Israel under Attack after IDF Targets and Kills Major Terror Leader in Gaza Strip - Breaking Christian News

The military says Gaza terrorists have fired at least 50 rockets at Israel since the early morning hours.

The rockets are in retaliation for the IDF assassinating senior Islamic Jihad terrorist Baha Abu Al-Ata in a precision airstrike in Gaza early Tuesday morning.

Israeli media reports at least one other person was killed and two others were wounded in the attack. Syrian sources also report that an Israeli airstrike targeted Islamic Jihad senior leader Akram Ajuri at his home in Damascus. Reports say the leader survived the airstrike. The attack in Damascus came just minutes after the airstrike that killed Al-Ata in Gaza. (Read more)

2. Islamic Jihad declares 'We're going to war,' after IDF kills its strongman - Times of Israel

Palestinian Islamic Jihad declared Tuesday that it was preparing for war with Israel after the IDF carried out a dawn assassination of one of the terror group's senior leaders in the northern Gaza Strip.

"These terrorist crimes are aggression and a declaration of war on the Palestinian people, and the enemy bears responsibility for them," PIJ said in a statement following Israel's targeted killing of Baha Abu al-Ata.

"The Al-Quds Brigades [PIJ's military wing] and the valiant resistance, which announced a mobilization [of its fighters] and started to hit back against this aggression and terrorism, will continue to forcefully and courageously defend the dignity of the Palestinian people," it said. (Read more)

3. Rocket barrages fired at central, south Israel after IDF kills Gaza terror chief - Times of Israel

The Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday ordered schools closed in southern and central Israel, including the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, as terror groups in the Gaza Strip began firing dozens of rockets at cities and towns throughout the country in retaliation for the assassination of Palestinian Islamic Jihad senior commander Baha Abu al-Ata.

"We are prepared for several days of battle with an aerial defense shield, including in the center of the country," IDF spokesperson Hidai Zilberman told reporters Tuesday morning.

Approximately 150 rockets and mortar shells were fired from the Gaza Strip at central and southern Israel on Tuesday as of 1 p.m., according to unofficial tallies. Soldiers operating the Iron Dome missile defense system shot down some 60 of those incoming projectiles. (Read more)

4. Israel braces for violent night after over 200 rockets pound Jewish state - Jerusalem Post

Israel is bracing for continued violence as it carried out three waves of retaliatory strikes after the country was pounded by close to 200 rockets on Tuesday morning following the predawn targeted killing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Leader Bahaa Abu Al-Ata the Gaza Strip.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Kochavi said that while the military was not interested in a conflict in the coastal enclave, the IDF was preparing for an escalation of violence and that it would return to a policy of targeted killings if necessary.

"We are not interested in an escalation but we are ready - on the ground, in the air and at sea," Kochavi said. (Read more)

5. PM sought Abu al-Ata's killing after rocket forced him offstage before election - Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought to kill Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror chief Baha Abu al-Ata after a rocket attack orchestrated by al-Ata forced the premier off stage at an election rally a week before the September 17 Knesset vote, multiple Hebrew-language media outlets reported Tuesday.

Two rockets were fired at Ashdod and nearby Ashkelon from Gaza on September 10, triggering sirens that forced Netanyahu to abort a campaign speech that was being broadcast live. He told attendees to calmly leave the hall, and he was rushed off the stage to take cover, returning later to deliver the address.

The rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, but the dramatic scenes of the premier being whisked to safety were considered a significant achievement for the Gaza terror group. (Read more)

6. Russian submarine found near Israeli coast - Jerusalem Post

Three months ago, the Israeli Navy identified a Russian submarine about eight miles away from the Dan coastal area in central Israel, reported Ynet news.

After IDF naval officers consulted with their Russian counterparts, the Russian submarine left the area and sailed west to the Mediterranean.

The IDF did not confirm whether Israel's security was damaged and how long the Russian submarine stayed there.

In the past, such incidents took place between Israeli and Russian vessels in international waters in the Mediterranean routes, and the tension ended with coordination between the crews. In one case, an Israeli Navy missile ship approached the Russian aircraft carrier "Kuznitsov" just a few hundred meters away. (Read more)

7. Top US general in the Middle East visits Israel to meet with IDF - Times of Israel

The commander of American military forces in the Middle East arrived in Israel on Saturday for meetings with the Israel Defense Forces' top brass, amid ongoing turmoil in the region after the US withdrew many of its forces from northern Syria last month.

Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr. touched down on Saturday for his first visit in Israel since becoming head of US military's Central Command, or CENTCOM, in March.

McKenzie's trip was the second-ever visit by a commander of US CENTCOM to the Jewish state.

Though Israel is in the Middle East, it does not often work directly with CENTCOM, and instead cooperates with the US military's European Command, or EUCOM. This is widely seen as an attempt by the US military to avoid conflict with other countries in the Middle East whose populations generally have a negative opinion of Israel. (Read more)

8. Israel Under Attack! Rockets Being Fired from Gaza!- Bridges for Peace

Tuesday, 12 November 2019 | Right now, one million people in southern and central Israel are taking cover and huddling in bomb shelters as terrorists in the Gaza Strip are firing rockets indiscriminately into Israel. More than 100 rockets have been fired so far this morning, and the barrage continues.

Rocket alert sirens are sounding constantly-including in Tel Aviv. People there reported hearing an explosion as the Iron Dome intercepted a rocket over the city. Roads, offices and schools are closed. The Israeli Home Front Command issued an order just before 8 a.m. that no nonessential businesses are to remain open.

Early this morning, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck a building in which the commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Gaza was staying. An "imminent threat" and a "ticking bomb," Abu Al Ata was responsible for a majority of the attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers last year-and was planning more violence against the Jewish state, the Israeli military reported. The barrage began a few hours after the operation.

One rocket struck a house in Sderot, which lies just above the northeast corner of the terror enclave. No injuries were reported from that hit, but three light injuries have been reported so far in Ashkelon-two people treated for anxiety attacks and a teenager injured while falling on her way to the shelter.

Rockets are still falling. Join us in prayer as we ask the Lord for divine protection over Israel. Lift up the leaders of this nation and the Israeli military, that the Lord will bless them with wisdom and discernment as they have a difficult day ahead of them.

9. Israel's remarkable precision missile shot Islamic Jihad leader through window - World Israel News

According to reports, the IDF missile that killed Islamic Jihad leader Baha Abu Al Ata and his wife entered through the window of the small room where he was hiding. Even the neighbors weren't hurt. That accuracy is thanks to Israel's advanced missile technology. (Read more)

A FINAL THOUGHT

In reviewing this news, it is clear that we are now witnessing a significant shift in the history of Israel as she fights for her life tonight. We also pause and take note of two other items which may also be "signals" that portend a great shift soon to take place among us.

These two signals are:
1. THE DATE WHEN THE MISSILES BEGAN FALLING ON THE LAND: NOVEMBER 11, 2019.

This numerical sequence -- 11/11 -- has caught the attention of many saints over the years, with a sense that someday, on "11/11", a great event would occur.

2. THE TRANSIT OF MERCURY ON 11/11 AS IT CROSSED OUR SUN. Some who "study the stars" (NOT astrologers!) have had their eye on this transit for some time now, wondering if this celestial event might portend an occurrence of significance on earth. To learn more about Mercury's path on 11/11, go here.
(Note: this link includes a stunning video of this event!
So, in summary, putting these two "signals" together this week -- the date of 11/11 and the transit of Mercury across the sun -- one might wonder if, in time, we will all mark this date as another sign of the soon coming of our Lord? . . . just for thought. Amen.

"I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke." (Acts 2:19)

Focus on Israel

1. Egypt, UN push for ceasefire as Gaza terror groups warn of imminent escalation - Times Of Israel

Egyptian and UN officials on Tuesday night were pushing for a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza terrorist groups, as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad vowed to step up attacks against the Jewish state in retaliation for the targeted killing of a PIJ terror chief.

Israel killed senior Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Ata in Gaza in a dawn strike on Tuesday. The Gaza terror organizations subsequently fired large salvos of rockets at cities and towns in the Jewish state, prompting ongoing retaliatory Israeli strikes in the Palestinian enclave. Egyptian officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Cairo was attempting to de-escalate tensions between Israel and the terror groups. The officials added the Egyptian General Intelligence Service stepped up communications and "opened channels" with the US and the European Union.

2. IDF forces mobilize around Gaza - Israel National News

Hundreds of IDF reservists have been called up in response to the rocket fire from Gaza Tuesday.

Convoys of tanks have made their way to the Gaza Brigade.

IAF fighters and Israeli tanks have attacked numerous targets belonging to Islamic Jihad in response to the terrorist organization's firing over over 190 rockets at Israel.

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett has declared a special emergency situation in the home front in localities within the range of 0-80 km (0-50 miles) from the Gaza Strip.

3. Hypocrisy with a stench of anti-Semitism - Israel National News

The Supreme Court of Justice of the European Union (whose relationship with justice in our case does not exist) this morning ruled that all EU member states are obliged to clearly mark products manufactured in Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.

What hypocrisy. Such a determination exists only against the State of Israel. An anti-Semitic stench wafts from it.

There is no similar marking directive on other conflict zones like the Crimea, Tibet, Cyprus, Western Sahara - and the list goes on.

Still, what stupidity. The original EU directive discriminated against Israeli exports, but it was not mandatory. Therefore, the Foreign Ministry fought a strong and successful fight to stop implementation of the directive in most of the Union countries.

4. Emergency-response units near Gaza receive hundreds of protective vests from International Fellowship - JNS

(November 12, 2019 / JNS) Amid more than 150 rockets being fired from Gaza into Israel on Tuesday, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews has launched an operation to distribute hundreds of protective vests to emergency-response units operating in Gaza, in addition to rescue and civilian-assistance agencies in the southern region.

The undertaking on the part of the Fellowship was prepared in accordance with a program that was arranged in advance and in coordination with Israel's Home Front Command and the heads of authorities in relevant areas. It was tailored to meet the specific needs that were defined by the respective security officer in each locality. During the first phase of the operation, the Fellowship will provide 500 protective vests to be distributed in the cities of Sderot, Ashkelon, Beersheva, Netivot, Ofakim, Ashdod and Bnei Ayish, as well as in the regional councils of Eshkol, Hof Ashkelon, Sdot Negev and Sha'ar HaNegev.

5. Jordan Refuses Israel's Invitation to 25th Anniversary Celebration of Peace Agreement - Christian Headlines

When Israel announced it would be holding a commemorative event to mark the 25th anniversary of its peace agreement with Jordan, they were optimistic that their neighbor would attend. Unfortunately, Jordan refused, marking a fresh set of diplomatic problems between the two nations.

The 1994 peace agreement, which allowed Israel access to the area of Naharayim, a strip of land just below the Sea of Galilee, has been undermined in recent years. In 2018, Jordan informed Israel that it would not be renewing the leasing of land under Annex 1 of the agreement, which refers to the agreed Jordanian sovereignty over Naharayim. Now, that threat has come to fruition.

Speaking of the diplomatic snub, Israeli foreign minister Yisrael Katz said the breakdown in relations is due to "the complicated reality within Jordan."

"With all due diplomatic sensitivity, I have to say that Israel did want to have a ceremony [together with Jordan]," he explained, according to the Times of Israel. "They said that the [Israeli] government forgot and did not ask to have an event. The government did not forget; it asked [the Jordanian authorities], but it did not happen," he added.

1. Turkey's Erdogan warns that it can release ISIS prisoners back to Europe - Fox News

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday issued a chilling threat to Europe over looming sanctions over Ankara's unauthorized drilling in the Mediterranean: penalize us and we'll release ISIS prisoners back to European countries. "You should revise your stance toward Turkey, which holds so many IS members in prison and controls them in Syria," he told reporters.

The Associated Press reported that his comments were in response to the European Union's unveiling of a system for imposing sanctions on Turkey over drilling off Cyprus. He made the comments while speaking to reporters prior to a trip to the U.S. to meet with President Trump.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., took to Twitter last week to criticize Trump for rolling out the welcome mat for Erdogan, "an autocrat whose actions threaten our allies and partners." (Read more)

2. Trump Follows in Reagan's Footsteps in Confronting Communism - Epoch Times

On the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, President Donald Trump showed that he's keeping President Ronald Reagan's fight against communism alive. In 2017, the Trump administration declared Nov. 7 a National Day for the Victims of Communism on the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution. This year, Nov. 9 marked the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The president's message recognized "communism as a current challenge, not just a historical fact," said Marion Smith, executive director of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. According to Smith, both Reagan and Trump "made a connection between the ideology of Marxism and communism and systematic human rights abuses."

"President Trump has been very clear on identifying this ideology-Marxism, communism, socialism-as the thing we must name and try to prevent from spreading. And he did that including at the United Nations," he said. At the U.N. General Assembly in September, Trump warned world leaders about the "specter of socialism," calling it one of the most serious challenges facing the nations. (Read more)

- We thank You, Father, for a President who is willing to take a strong stand for freedom from tyranny in any form, especially in the form of socialism and communism. We pray You will bless the efforts of President Trump, just as You blessed the efforts of the late President Reagan. Lord, may the United States never be lured into bondage as some in our country are attempting to do.

- "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1)

3. Nikki Haley: Kelly, Tillerson Tried to Undermine Trump, Because They Disagreed with Him on Policy - CNSNews.com

"Let's talk about another explosive story you have in your book where you talk about how then Chief of Staff John Kelly and Rex Tillerson, then the secretary of state it came to a you at one point and pulled you aside and said they were trying to 'save the country and actively working to resist the president.' Can you tell us what happened in that moment?" Guthrie asked. "We were having a meeting within the Oval Office. Rex and I disagreed on an issue. I play it all out in the book, but basically, we went to John Kelly's office, and it was a long two-hour meeting where they basically said they were not trying to undermine the president, they were trying to save this country, but this was the issue is this wasn't that they thought this was a rogue president in the White House," Haley said. "This was the fact that they disagreed with him on policy. They didn't think they needed to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. They didn't think we needed to get out of the Iran deal," she said. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You for the courage and the tenacity that Nikki Haley (serving as Governor at that time) demonstrated in calling these two men to account. If one is serving our President, he either needs to agree with his policy, or resign. Thank you for her wisdom, in Jesus name.

- (For Kelly and Tillerson) "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)

4. Daughter of Ex-FBI Agent Missing for 12 Years Thanks Trump for 'Clear Message' to Iran - Epoch Times

The daughter of Robert Levinson, a retired FBI agent who vanished from an island in Iran in 2007, said that President Donald Trump is working to get her father out of the country.

Trump and his national security adviser, Robert O'Brien, have been working hard to figure out Levinson's condition, Sarah Moriarty said. "We believe that President Trump, with this new $25 million reward and a tweet yesterday, has sent a clear message that this is a top priority for the U.S. administration, and we're so thankful to him," she said.

Iranian officials should tell the truth about what's happened since Levinson went missing, she added, before saying, "My message to my dad is that we are working tirelessly every day and we are working hard to bring him home." (Read more)

- We praise and thank you, Father, that this administration desires to "leave no man behind", just as You go after the lost sheep. Impart Your wisdom and strategy to President Trump and staff as they move forward to rescue Robert Levinson and other American captives. May Your shalom be upon Robert and his daughter Sarah; may all who are unjustly detained in Iran soon see Your victory.

- "Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord; I flee to You for refuge." (Psalm 143:9)

5. Congress Seeks to Sanction Officials From Countries Holding Americans Hostage - Free Beacon

Congress is considering new legislation that would require President Donald Trump to sanction any foreign government official involved in holding Americans hostage, a move that would prevent these foreigners and their family members from obtaining U.S. visas, according to congressional sources working on the bill.

Sens. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) and Ted Cruz (R., Tex.) are spearheading the new legislation, which they say will apply needed pressure on any foreign government complicit in the taking of American hostages. A key mechanism in the legislation would ensure that foreign officials involved in hostage taking and their families do not enter the United States.

Many foreign officials and their family members from Iran, China, and other rogue nations routinely travel to the United States for lavish holidays and education at U.S. colleges. The lawmakers are seeking to crack down on this behavior. (Read more)

- Lord, we praise You for this legislation and ask that You would provide a way for it to become law to set the US in a more pro-active position against the taking of hostages by countries that don't like us. Thank You for Senators who have a vision of what the US should be doing to combat this evil.

- "Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow." (Isaiah 1:17)

6. DHS Chief Chad Wolf Is '100 Percent in Line' with Donald Trump's Agenda - Breitbart

Administration officials are backing Chad Wolf as a safe choice for the job of acting secretary at the Department of Homeland Defense.

You want someone who is an operator like Chad, who knows how to get stuff done in the deep state, in the bureaucracy that has held up a lot of good things. A lot of strong people have been held up by the deep state and were not able to be as effective as they wanted. Chad's been able to navigate it, and you want someone like him, pushing for the President's agenda.

In February, Wolf was nominated to run the department's Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans, the official said, adding "the President trusts him enough not only to have nominated him for a very senior role within the agency but even to give him that that promotion [to acting secretary]." (Read more)

- We pray that the leadership of Chad Wolf as acting secretary for Dept of Homeland Security will be guided by Your light and wisdom. This is an enormous responsibility for our nation Lord, so we ask that you will bring him a multitude of Godly counselors who can help show the way in which to lead this department to protect our nation in every area.

- " . . . pray for all in authority . . ." (I Tim. 2:1)

7. Recession Fears Evaporate: Small Business Optimism Rises in October - Breitbart

Optimism among U.S. small-business owners moved higher than expected as concerns over a possible recession faded.

In a hopeful sign for business investment, lately one of the weakest parts of the economy, reports of actual capital spending increased and inventory investment improved from a modest negative level in September. The measure of planned capital expenditures climbed 2 percentage points to a five-month high of 29 percent. Reports of rising labor compensation, a key to sustained consumer spending, also increased.

"Small business owners are continuing to create jobs, raise wages, and grow their businesses, thanks to tax cuts and deregulation, and nothing is stopping them except for finding qualified workers," Duggan said. (Read more)

- Father, thank you that small businesses in the U.S. are prospering and that the economy, as a whole, is on the upswing. We know this means help and hope for households that have been struggling. Send laborers to the small businesses who are worthy of their hire. Above all, may we be a blessing to others as we are blessed!

- "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." (Psalm 32:12a)

8. Education Unions Report Sharp Declines in Membership, Revenue - Free Beacon

Teachers' unions are experiencing sharp declines in membership and revenue in former union strongholds Oregon and Washington, according to new annual reports.

A major turning point came in 2018 when the Supreme Court declared forced dues schemes for government workers unconstitutional in Janus v. American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.

Aaron Withe, national director of the pro-free market Freedom Foundation, said the effects of the ruling have been especially pronounced in traditional union strongholds Oregon and Washington because of outreach efforts. "We've spoken to tens of thousands of public employees at their homes and offices, and what we've found is that when they learn their rights under Janus, they opt out in droves."

Withe said the Freedom Foundation plans on expanding its operations to other states, including those in the Rust Belt, to bring its education campaigns in Oregon and Washington to larger audiences. "We expect to see these results continue in the larger states that we operate in as we continue and expand this campaign," Withe said. (Read more)

- Father God, we offer praise today for the work of the Freedom Foundation, for they are truly setting educational professionals free from the bondage of union demands. (We noted last week that these same teachers' unions were forcing their members to promote the LGBT agenda, to the chagrin of many.) We ask that Your Hand of protection would rest upon all who are working with the Freedom Foundation, as they move their message forward to other states in the nation. In Your name, amen.

- "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)

9. Ex-Clinton strategist: Don't rule out Hillary run, amidst news of Bloomberg's entrance - Fox News

There is still time for Hillary Clinton and Michael Bloomberg to enter the 2020 presidential race, as a field of weak candidates continues to fuel speculation of a dark horse savior, said former Clinton strategist Mark Penn on Sunday.

"There's still a couple of days here," he said on "Sunday Morning Futures." I don't know whether [Clinton will] look at the Michael Bloomberg thing and say, 'the field's too crowded now. I missed my opportunity,' or the opposite.

"'Wow the field's weak, I could come in. I could get 165,000 donors, I'm tied with [Joe] Biden in some of these early states . . .' There's still a political logic there for her," Penn continued. He also commented on Biden's tenuous position as the party's frontrunner and said other candidates have shifted too far to the left to be seen as viable options to defeat President Trump. (Read more)

- Lord, we see confusion in the camp of the Democrats and we hope in that confusion to bring about only Your perfect will regarding their eventual candidate.

10. Kentucky Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Christian T-Shirt Shop, Rejects LGBT Claim - CNSNews.com

On Nov. 1, the Kentucky Supreme Court ruled in favor of Christian print-shop owner Blaine Adamson, who was sued for refusing to print "gay-pride" T-shirts for the Lexington Pride Festival.

According to the opinion of the court, written by Justice Laurance B. VanMeter, "[T]his matter must be dismissed because the Gay and Lesbian Services Organization (GLSO,) the original party to bring this action before the Lexington Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission, lacked statutory standing to assert a claim against Hands On Originals under the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government."

The court ruled (6-0) that GLSO had no standing because under discrimination law in Kentucky, such claims can only be filed by individuals and not organizations. GLSO lost at the initial trial, the appeals court and now at the supreme court. (Read more)

- Father God, we praise You for this good report. We pray that more and more judges across the nation will rule in favor of Biblical morality, in Your name, amen.

- "The Lord is our judge . . . and He will save us." (Isaiah 33:22)

11. Violence brings Hong Kong to 'brink of total breakdown' - Reuters

Police fired tear gas at pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong's Central financial district and at demonstrators on the other side of the harbour on Tuesday as a senior officer said the unrest had brought the city to "the brink of total breakdown". The clashes took place a day after police shot a protester at close range and a man was doused with petrol and set on fire in some of the worst violence in the Chinese-ruled city in decades. The United States on Monday condemned "unjustified use of deadly force" in Hong Kong and urged police and civilians alike to de-escalate the situation.

In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang urged Britain and the United States not to intrude, saying: "Hong Kong affairs are purely China's internal affairs that allow no foreign interference." China has a garrison of up to 12,000 troops in Hong Kong who have kept to barracks since 1997 [and] it has said it will crush any attempts at independence. (Read more)

- Oh dear Lord, be that ever-present help for the students and citizens of Hong Kong. The communist wing is seeking to shut down the internet service of the nation, so the world will no longer be able to hear and pray. Please provide divine intervention and warrior angels to protect and grant authority in the natural realm to bring an end to the takeover of a free people. Let us be very mindful of what is happening there and PRAY!

- "And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it . . " (I Corinthians 12:26)

Daily Jot Guide to Impeachment

As I peruse through the headlines each day, it is somewhat overwhelming what the news media is writing about the impeachment inquiry and the subsequent hearings. One would think that President Donald Trump was the worst criminal that occupied the White House. Part of the problem with the coverage is that all the accusations are so sensationalized that it appears of wrongdoing, when in reality, nothing may have been done illegally. In addition, the Democratic leadership has stacked the deck. Transcripts are edited to reflect a guilty narrative. Witnesses are controlled-even to the point of being coached on what points to emphasize. Only the sensational claims are being released and reported. What to believe?

There is a simple guide to this entire process. One first must understand that the deep state and the Democratic Party wants Trump out of office. They were working on making sure he is removed since before he was elected. In fact, what these hearings are revealing is a concentrated effort during the previous president's two terms and Hillary Clinton's tenure at the State Department to "deep root" a Marxist cohort to facilitate a long-term socialist running of the US government. This legion is as what George Washington warned of in his 1796 Farewell speech: "potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."

With the warnings of George Washington some 223 years ago in mind, the entire impeachment proceedings currently taking place reflect the foundation of usurpation previously built that is now coming to fruition. Breitbart News reported Monday, "Representative Devin Nunes (R-CA), the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, urged folks to take a wait-and-see approach to the proceedings. He explained how Democrats and the media will attempt to frame the storylines but added that the recently released transcripts from the closed House Intelligence Committee impeachment hearings last week show the testimony given was "devastating to the Democrats."

Strong advice from my heart comes from Ephesians 5:6, "Let no man deceive you with vain words." While The Daily Jot and myself personally find the headlines and the misinformation repugnant and unworthy of reporting, it is also imperative that you be well informed about the ongoing machinations of these cunning and ambitious Marxist minions. Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Isaiah 5:13 says, "Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst." This impeachment isn't as much about Donald Trump as it is about allowing the weed of tyranny to choke out the tree of liberty. And in that liberty is your freedom of speech and of religion. Speak boldly to preserve it.

Classic Hymns

GOD BE WITH YOU TILL WE MEET AGAIN

"I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20)

Lyrics

God be with you till we meet again;
By His counsels guide, uphold you,
With His sheep securely fold you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Refrain

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus' feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Neath His wings protecting hide you;
Daily manna still provide you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Snow cancels over 1,500 flights, plane slides off runway at Chicago airport

A plane slid off a runway as it was landing at O'Hare Airport as snow fell on the Chicago area Monday morning. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

Steadily falling snow in the Midwest has caused significant travel delays for thousands of passengers. For the dozens of people on American Eagle flight 4125 landing at O'Hare from Greensboro, North Carolina, it was especially terrifying.

More than 41 men and women emerged uninjured from a plane that skidded off of a snowy runway at Chicago's O'Hare International airport after the aircraft slid off a snowy runway upon landing Monday morning.

Video of the incident was captured on cellphone video by a passenger aboard the flight. According to Andrea Blanford, a reporter for ABC 11 in Raleigh, N.C., Joseph Lian is the passenger who shot the footage. At one point, after the plane comes to a stop, its wing stuck into the snow-covered grass, a woman can be heard saying, "I think we landed!"

"After landing, American Eagle flight 4125, operated by Envoy Air, slid off the runway due to icy conditions at Chicago O'Hare," American Airlines said in a statement, according to ABC 7 in Chicago. "No injuries were reported. All 38 passengers and three crew members were deplaned from the aircraft and are now safely back in the terminal.
By 1 p.m. local time, 3.4 inches of snow had fallen and the National Weather Service (NWS) reported winds were gusting from 25 to 30 mph on Monday. The average high and low in Chicago for this time of year is 51 F and 37 F. Monday's forecast high for O'Hare was 33 F with AccuWeather RealFeel Temperatures in the teens and dropping below zero overnight.

According to ABC News, snow canceled roughly 1,200 flights in Chicago Monday and more than 1,500 nationwide as millions brace for a major temperature plunge. (Accuweather.com) Read more

Pastors Join Together to Launch '52 Tuesdays' Prayer Initiative to Prepare for 2020 Election

"Most Christians know that prayer is important, and some pray faithfully for our nation and themselves, yet we see few visible answers. If we are to assemble and pray for our nation, we must know what God requires when we pray. This is just one concept about prayer we will explore during this yearlong prayer initiative, and we hope millions of Christians will join us, because prayer does change things." -APN President Sam Rohrer

[CharismaNews.com] The American Pastors Network (APN) is kicking off an inspirational, exciting and very necessary prayer initiative leading up to the 2020 presidential election.

Called "52 Tuesdays," the yearlong prayer focus will call on Christians to pray for America as never before. The initiative will officially begin tomorrow, Nov. 12, which is 52 Tuesdays from the important election set for Nov. 3, 2020.

During this crucial season of prayer, APN President Sam Rohrer says prayer is the only solution to the nation's problems.

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
