The Daily Brief

1. Reporters Heated over DoD's Press Policy - Fox News

After signing a two page memo last week, entitled, "Interaction with the Media," Defense Secretary Robert Gates set off a firestorm of objections within the Pentagon press corps and pushed journalists to further question promises of increased transparency within the Obama administration.

Reporters argued with defense officials in an on the record gaggle on Wednesday morning that almost every story they write has "national or international implications" and questioned just how far the Pentagon plans to take this rule. At the very least, Pentagon reporters said they fear that already reluctant military officers or commanders will be less likely to speak to the press, and that it could send a "chilling effect" across the military leadership at a time when the country is engaged in two wars.

- Lord, as the inevitable fallout from General McChrystal's interview hits the press corps, we ask that both the media and the military will work together with wisdom. At a time when our Armed Forces are leery of the White House, and the White House not knowledgeable about military matters, we pray for truth and wisdom to come out of this difficult situation.

- "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

2. Oklahoma, South Carolina and Utah may follow Arizona's lead on immigration law - Washington Post

Attention is focused on Arizona and the federal government's challenge to the state's strict new immigration law, but three other states could adopt similar legislation next year.

- Lord, we pray that such pressure will come to bear on the Federal government, so they will begin to enforce the laws against illegal immigration. We pray, Father, that You will intervene to protect the borders against terrorists, and those who would seek to destroy this nation.

- "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." (2 Kings 6:16)

3. Gulf Oil Spill: Latest Plan Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal Supports Draws Criticism From Federal Gov - ABC News

Scientists and government officials fired back at Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal today, saying homegrown plans he is backing to protect the state's delicate coastline could actually do more harm than good.

- Father, as the Federal government has failed to move forward with any real assistance to the Gulf Coast, we pray that You will bring wisdom to Governor Jindal as he attempts to save his state from total disaster.

- "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)

4. BP Pushing to Stop Gulf Leak Weeks Early - Fox News

BP PLC is pushing to fix its runaway Gulf oil well by July 27, possibly weeks before the deadline the company is discussing publicly, in a bid to show investors it has capped its ballooning financial liabilities, according to company officials.

- Lord, we ask that BP will be able to stop the oil leak by the deadline given. We pray for a rapid reversal of damage, and restoration of the coastline and ocean.

- "You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth." (Psalm 104:30)

5. Convicted Russian Spy Sutyagin Reportedly Flown to Vienna - Fox News

Russian news agencies reported Thursday that Igor Sutyagin, a Russian convicted of spying for the United States, has been flown to Vienna in what appeared to be the first step of a Russia-U.S. spy swap.

- Father, as we appear to have returned to the practices of the Cold War, we pray that You will bring to light any other hidden secrets that may be lurking in our midst. You are the God of justice, so we place our nation in Your hands for protection.

- "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth go before Your face." (Psalm 89:14)

1. Netanyahu to CNN: I'm prepared to discuss future of settlements - Ynet News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday he was prepared to discuss "right away" the future of Jewish settlements if Palestinians entered direct peace talks with Israel.

2. McCain: Israel not considering strike against Iran right now - Ha'aretz

U.S. Senator John McCain said Wednesday that he does not believe Israel is currently considering military action against Iran over its contentious nuclear program, The Washington Post reported.

3. Netanyahu to U.S. Jews: Direct Mideast talks will begin very soon - Ha'aretz

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told U.S. Jewish leaders on Wednesday that direct Palestinian-Israeli talks would begin "very soon", but warned that they would be "very, very tough."

4. IDF Releases Proof of Hezbollah Arms Buildup - CBN News

The Israel Defense Forces released maps and other intelligence information on Wednesday confirming Hezbollah's stockpiling of weaponry in southern Lebanon.

Government sponsored tyranny, hate, and appeasement vs love for one another

I just watched the film clip of New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense member Samir Shabazz intimidating voters on November 4th, 2008 at the Fairmount Avenue polling location in Philadelphia. I watched further clips of Shabazz harassing people on South Street in Philadelphia. He said, "I hate white people. All of them. Every last iota of a cracker...You want freedom? You going to have to kill some crackers. You going to have to kill some of their babies." Shabazz's website hosted by BlackPlanet shows many pictures of him holding pistols and weapons, some in an apartment looking out a window as if defiantly waiting for an enemy. Throughout the site are slogans preaching revolution and hate against white people.

Shabazz, a militant Islamist, and his comrade Jerry Jackson, were charged with voter intimidation. After the White House appointment of Eric Holder as Attorney General, the Department of Justice dropped charges against Jackson, who identified himself as a member of the 14th Ward Democratic Committee. Upon winning the voter intimidation suit in court, Holder's Justice Department dismissed the case against the militant Shabazz. DOJ attorney J. Christian Adams resigned over the matter. Adams told Fox News, "I mean we were told, 'Drop the charges against the New Black Panther Party.'" He said political appointee Loretta King, acting head of the civil rights division, ordered the dismissal.

The Founding Fathers chose a Constitutional Republic form of government over democracy because they rightly believed that government must protect the rights of the people through the rule of law. Democracy abrogates rule of law to the rule of power. Unsustainable debt, miscarriage of justice, refusal to secure the borders, using strategic agencies such as NASA for Islamic appeasement are all indicators that by design or by ignorance, the tenets of the Declaration of Independence are being violated. The Declaration says, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

The Declaration continues, "That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness." Jesus said in John 15:17, "These things I command you, that ye love one another." Are we demonstrating true love for one another if we are allowing through apathy or selfishness the seed of tyranny to mature in our government?

1. US Commander Says Northern Iraq May Need UN Peacekeepers - VOA

The top U.S. military commander in Iraq says United Nations peacekeepers may be needed to protect disputed areas in the northern part of the country after U.S. troops leave in 2011.

- Father, give our officials a detailed plan of protecting and preserving these disputed areas. We pray that any progress gained during this time will stand firm. Surround this area with your shield of protection.

- Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. (Psalm 115:11)

2.UAE Diplomat Endorses U.S. Strike on Iran - Fox News

The United Arab Emirates ambassador to the United States said Tuesday that the benefits of bombing Iran's nuclear program outweigh the short-term costs such an attack would impose.

- Father, we pray you surround our government officials with wise counselors. We pray your plans prevail in this dangerous, but necessary decision. Let them inquire of you like David did at Ziklag, "Shall we pursue?"

- Many are the plans in a man's heart, but the counsel of the Lord, it will stand. (Proverbs 19:21-22)

3. Department of Justice Files Lawsuit Challenging Arizona Immigration Law - ABC News

The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit today challenging Arizona's new immigration law, which takes effect July 29.

- Lord God, have mercy on Arizona. Open the eyes of our government so they can see clearly. Instead of accusations and lawsuits, let there be a working together to solve this ongoing problem in our land.

- Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. (Isaiah 41:11)

4. Hawaii Gov. Vetoes Same-Sex Civil Unions Bill - Fox News

Hawaii's governor on Tuesday vetoed legislation that would have permitted same-sex civil unions, ending months of speculation on how she would weigh in on the contentious, emotional debate.

- Lord, thank you for this decision by Hawaii's governor. We pray more governors would follow in agreement for their respective states.

- If ye will fear the Lord, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the Lord your God: (1 Samuel 12:14)

The Palestinian Authority was following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's meeting with US President Barack Obama Tuesday, and officials expressed hope that the latter had pressed the Israeli leader on issues up for negotiation.

2.Hamas arrests alleged collaborators with Israel - Ynet News

A Hamas security official said Wednesday that security forces in Gaza are rounding up suspected collaborators with Israel.

3.'Up, Up and Away' for North American Jews - Israel National News

American and American Jews resumed their annual one-way trek to Israel Wednesday morning, with 232 new immigrants arriving on the first of nearly a dozen flights that will bring 2,500 Jews to their new home this summer.

The change in Obama's attitude stems from a combination of diplomatic and political elements. The strategy of exerting brutal pressure on the prime minister and creating a crisis in US-Israel relations did not produce the hoped-for results, did not improve America's status in the Arab and Muslim world, did not promote talks between Israel and the Palestinians, and did not prompt strategic shifts in Netanyahu's policy.

US President Barack Obama said Tuesday he hoped for direct Middle East peace talks to start before the end of September, as he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied reports of a rift.

4. Israel Offers Peace Steps, in U.S. and Mideast - Wall Street Journal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told President Barack Obama his government was prepared to take "concrete steps" to bring about direct Middle East peace talks, as the two leaders sought to heal ties that have frayed during the past year over the issue of Palestinian statehood and Israel's blockade of Gaza.

5. 'US agrees to nuclear cooperation' - Jerusalem Post

The US sent Israel a secret letter, in which it committed to nuclear cooperation between the two states, Army Radio reported on Wednesday. In the letter, the US reportedly promises to cell Israel materials used to produce electricity, as well as technology and other supplies, despite the fact that Israel did not sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty

6. NY: Guns missing from PM's bodyguards - (WNBC)

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's security detail lost four handguns in Washington, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) confirmed Wednesday morning. US television station WNBC first reported the incident, saying that the weapons were discovered missing at New York's JFK Airport. The glock-type pistols were packed in luggage belonging to Netanyahu's bodyguards.

- Pray much for the safety and protection of P.M. Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sarah, all during their stay in the United States.

ON DEFENSE, OBAMA TRIES TO IMPROVE U.S.-ISRAELI RELATIONS

CIA Director Panetta says sanctions won't stop Iran from getting the Bomb; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs agrees

(Washington, D.C., July 7, 2010) -- If this was the first meeting between President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu, it would have been great. The President was warm and friendly. He reaffirmed the "special relationship" and "unbreakable bond" between the U.S. and Israel. Netanyahu publicly invited Obama to come to Israel and meet there, and Obama smiled and said, "I'm ready."

The problem is that this wasn't their first meeting. It was their fifth, just the first to go well. President Obama wasted the past 14 months. He has treated Netanyahu like he was the head of BP oil rather than the leader of our most faithful friend and ally in the epicenter. Thus, President Obama came into the Oval Office meeting yesterday on defense. Jewish support for him in the U.S. has plummeted over the past year as the White House and State Department have treated Israel with unprecedented hostility. Fewer than 1-in-10 Israelis believe Obama is pro-Israel because of the administration's long string of deeply unfriendly statements and actions.

The real challenge: behind the smiles of the two leaders, nothing decisive was said about how to stop Iran from getting the Bomb. And time is running out. CIA Director Leon Panetta said on June 27 that it would take Iran a year to convert the uranium they currently have to weapons grade, and another year to produce a deliverable bomb. In remarks at the Aspen Institute last week, Admiral Michael Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, agreed with Panetta and said this was consistent with his own assessment.

During his Q&A session, Admiral Mullen indicated that the U.S. believes Iran has not yet made a final decision to build nuclear weapons, while the Israelis believe Iran has made that decision.

CIA Director Panetta says he believes the new round of economic sanctions imposed on Iran will cause pain, but will not force Iran to stop its development of nuclear weapons. "I would agree with that," said Mullen. This is important news that is getting overlooked by the mainstream media.
So the question remains: if sanctions aren't going to stop Iran from getting the Bomb, and Iran is dangerously close to building the Bomb, what is President Obama prepared to do next? Will he take military action. I don't believe he will. Will the President support the Israelis taking military action? That remains to be seen.

White House Refuses To Defend Border, but Sues Arizona for Enforcing Immigration Laws

On June 16, Fox News reported that the federal government, through its Fish and Wildlife Service closed off some 3,500 acres of Southern Arizona along its border with Mexico because it is unsafe for US citizens and it cannot be defended. Refuge manager Mitch Ellis told Fox, "The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent." Indeed, Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu told Fox News, "Its literally out of control...We need support from the federal government. Its their job to secure the border and they haven't done it." The Sheriff lamented that the man who occupies the Oval Office suspended construction of the border fence and has given up trying to enforce border security.

Other news reports indicate that the 80 mile section along the Mexican border has become a war zone where drug cartels daily fight one another and anyone who appears to be an outsider will be threatened at the very least or killed. It is this kind of lawlessness that prompted Arizona to pass an immigration law giving state enforcement officers the ability to do what federal law enforcement is supposed to do, but is not--secure the Arizona border against illegal activity. But now the federal government is suing Arizona for trying to do the job the feds refuse to do. The Justice Department has filed in Phoenix federal court to stop Arizona from enforcing SB 1070, an Arizona immigration law designed to send illegals back to Mexico.

Strangely enough, the White House believes it's being undermined by Arizona. The suit claims, "Arizona impermissibly seeks to regulate immigration by creating an Arizona-specific immigration policy that is expressly designed to rival or supplant that of the federal government. As such, Arizona's immigration policy exceeds a state's role with respect to aliens, interferes with the federal government's balanced administration of the immigration laws, and critically undermines U.S. foreign policy objectives. S.B. 1070 does not simply seek to provide legitimate support to the federal government's immigration policy, but instead creates an unprecedented independent immigration scheme that exceeds constitutional boundaries."

Attorney General Eric Holder said in the Justice Department statement that the feds can ill afford to defend the border with Mexico. He says ". . . diverting federal resources away from dangerous aliens such as terrorism suspects and aliens with criminal records will impact the entire country's safety . . . Seeking to address the issue through a patchwork of state laws will only create more problems than it solves." The Administration's logic is that it is too busy defending the nation against dangerous aliens that it cannot defend the nation against dangerous aliens. Romans 1:22 says, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." Its time to apply Godly wisdom lest our nation be overrun with lawlessness.

1. With the US Trapped in Depression, This Really is Starting to Feel Like 1932 - London Telegraph

The US workforce shrank by 652,000 in June, one of the sharpest contractions ever. The rate of hourly earnings fell 0.1pc. Wages are flirting with deflation. The average time needed to find a job has risen to a record 35.2 weeks. Nothing like this has been seen before in the post-war era. Jeff Weninger, of Harris Private Bank, said this compares with a peak of 21.2 weeks in the Volcker recession of the early 1980s.

• Heavenly Father, we pray provision for all individuals who cannot find jobs. We pray you surround them with encouragement. Give them creative ideas to earn income for their families.

• Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. (Psalms 42:11)

2. Tar Balls From Gulf Oil Spill Turn up in Texas - NewsMax

A Texas official said Monday that tar balls from the Gulf oil spill were found on a pair of state beaches, becoming the first known evidence that gushing crude from the Deepwater Horizon well has reached all the Gulf states. The distance between the western reach of the tar balls in Texas and the most eastern reports of oil in Florida is about 550 miles. Oil was first spotted on land near the mouth of the Mississippi River on April 29.

Skimming operations across the Gulf have scooped up about 23.5 million gallons of oil-fouled water so far, but officials say it's impossible to know how much crude could have been skimmed in good weather because of the fluctuating number of vessels, weather, storms, and other variables.

• Lord, we pray for an end to this leak. We pray that it will not take as long as predicted, and that our government will take responsibility for its lack of action so lessons may be learned from this crisis.

• And so it was . . . I said: "O Lord God, forgive, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, for he is small!" So the Lord relented concerning this. "It shall not be," said the Lord. (Amos 7:2, 3)

3. From War Woes to Gulf Disasters, Obama's Presidency Mirrors Bush's - Washington Times

A difficult war, runaway federal spending, a dilemma over illegal immigration and even the aftermath of an environmental disaster - President Obama's 2010 is looking a lot like President George W. Bush's 2006. By definition, they are the unfinished business of the Bush administration, and in some cases had been languishing for decades longer.

The official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, also expressed confidence that Mr. Obama would succeed where Mr. Bush failed.

• Lord, these are just excuses to shirk responsibility for the inaction of the president and this administration. We pray that people will see through the lies and the spin on this situation. Let people remember that former president Bush acted favorably on many issues.

• "For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble, and the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the Lord of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch. (Malachi 4:1)

4. Obama Decried, Then Used, Some Bush Drilling Policies - Wall Street Journal

Less than four months after President Barack Obama took office, his new administration received a forceful warning about the dangers of offshore oil drilling. Mr. Obama said his administration should have been more vigilant in handling the oil industry. "More needed to be done, and more needs to be done" to tighten oversight, he told reporters recently.

It pins blame on the Bush administration for pursuing a policy for deep-offshore drilling "that was driven by one principle: open everything," said White House spokesman Ben LaBolt.

• Lord, as this oil leak continues longer than expected, people are denying their lack of responsibility. Let the blame game stop, and let them give plans for fixing this dilemma instead. We need action not accusations!

• For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. (Romans 1:18)

5. Obama and Supreme Court May be on Collision Course - LA Times

The Supreme Court wrapped up its term last week after landmark decisions protecting the right to have a gun and the right of corporations to spend freely on elections. But the year's most important moment may have come on the January evening when the justices gathered at the Capitol for President Obama's State of the Union address.

The president and congressional Democrats have embarked on an ambitious drive to regulate corporations, banks, health insurers and the energy industry. But the high court, with Roberts increasingly in control, will have the final word on those regulatory laws.

• Lord, we thank you for giving us a branch of government that can still stand against this runaway administration. We pray you will appoint God-fearing men and women on the Supreme Court. Block these measures.

• A proud and haughty man - "Scoffer" is his name; he acts with arrogant pride . . . the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with wicked intent! (Proverbs 21:24, 27)

6. Mexico's Drug War Heats Up Near Arizona Border - MSNBC

Very few residents dare to drive on one of the roads out of this watering-hole for migrants, fearing they will be stopped at gunpoint. They worry they will be told to turn around after their gas tanks are drained or, worse, be kidnapped or killed. The carnage still pales compared to other Mexican border cities, most notably Ciudad Juarez, which lies across from El Paso, Texas, which had 2,600 murders last year.

"This began like a cancer in the finger and now it is spreading to other parts of the body," he said. "There comes a time when the government has absolutely no control."

• Lord, we pray this administration will make serious plans for protecting our citizens, and our borders from this violence and intrusion of illegals coming into our nation. Set people up who are wise and knowledgeable on how to secure our borders.

• A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength; 6) For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety. (Proverbs 24:5, 6)

Nearly four weeks ago, Alvin Greene, the 32-year-old unemployed military veteran turned South Carolina's political scene upside down when he won the Democratic nomination for a U.S. Senate seat. He says he campaigned across the state but doesn't remember where. He has no staff. He touts his service in the Army and Air Force, but won't specify what he did or why he was "involuntarily" discharged.

He says he decided two years ago to run for Senate against Republican Sen. Jim DeMint, but appears to have done little except pay the $10,440 filing fee with a hand-written, hand-delivered check to party headquarters.

• Lord, this story sounds very suspicious, and we pray this year's elections will not be filled with people who get in office by guile and deception. Reveal the truth about these candidates and let people soundly reject them!

• And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:11)

Syrian President Bashar Assad warned that the current rift in Israel-Turkey relations threatens the stability of the Middle East, and said "the chances of peace grow slim, and the prospect of war grows."

4. Turkey closes airspace to Israel, threatens to cut diplomatic ties over Gaza raid - Fox News

Turkey will sever diplomatic ties with Israel unless Jerusalem apologizes over the commando raid on an aid convoy to Gaza in which nine Turks -- one of them a joint Turkish-U.S. citizen -- died, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted as saying Monday.

5. Assad: US administration is weak - Jerusalem Post

The Obama administration's failure to facilitate change in the Middle East shows that it is weak, Syrian President Bashar Assad said Sunday during a visit to Latin America amid rising regional tensions over last month's Gaza flotilla incident and increasing efforts to defuse the Iranian threat.

Islamic Appeasement Deceptively Spreads to NASA

It wasn't that long ago that Americans were prohibited by law from interacting with terrorists, terrorist sponsors, and those who aid and abed terrorists and terrorism. Now, however, it seems that Americans are to understand that there is no war on terror; that terror is the result of isolated, random incidents that police are supposed to be able to handle; and that the nation is no longer fighting a war on terror but rather trying to assist the nations of Iraq and Afghanistan to establish and maintain some brand of democracy that is based on parliamentary approval of Sharia Law and "constitutions" whose only freedom of religion is Islam.

This has gotten so widespread that now even NASA--the National Aeronautic and Space Administration--is cowtailing to Islam. In a recent interview with worldwide terrorist propaganda network, al Jazeera, NASA's Administrator Charles Bolden said that his "foremost" mission with NASA is to reach out to the Muslim world and to make them feel better about their contribution to math and science. Bolden was in the Middle East last month affirming the one-year anniversary since the man who occupies the Oval Office delivered his landmark Islamic appeasement speech to Muslim nations in Cairo. Bolden described space travel as an international collaboration of which Muslim nations must be a part.

As reported by Fox News, Bolden told al Jazeera that the man who occupies the Oval Office had different plans for NASA. Bolden said, "When I became the NASA administrator -- or before I became the NASA administrator -- he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering."

NASA's website reveals its mission is "to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research." Keep in mind, however, that the White House slashed the NASA budget by over $600 million and for all practical purposes shut down any manned space exploration. NASA has been critical to America's defense development since its inception in 1958. Yet, according to the NASA Administrator, the organization's "foremost" mission is to reach out to Islam. How many other government agencies are charged with the same? Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." This is just one example of the deceptive misuse of your tax money.

Fears that the economic recovery is fizzling grew Thursday after the government and private sector issued weak reports on a number of fronts.

b.1.3 Million Unemployed Won't Get Benefits Restored - Fox News

The House voted 270-153 Thursday to extend jobless benefits for people who have been laid off for long stretches, but the gesture was made futile by the Senate's inability to pass the bill.

c. House Democrats pass 'budget enforcement resolution' by 215-210 - The Hill

House Democrats passed a budget document Thursday that sets discretionary spending at levels below those proposed by Obama but doesn't address how Congress should cut deficits.

- As the nation's economy continues to become more fragile over time, pray that the needs of our people would yet be met by the Hand of our God. Pray, too, that those in authority, who hold the purse strings for others, would be granted "wisdom from above," and would have the heart to obey divine counsel. Pray!

- (For leaders): The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases. (Proverbs 21:1)

- (For American workers): So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work. (Neh 4:6)

2. House Approves Afghanistan War Bill Loaded With Extras - Fox News

The House of Representatives OK'd a $60B bill Thursday to pay for wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and fund a variety of other programs like education, Pell Grants, natural disaster relief and relief efforts following the earthquake in Haiti. Many Democrats opposed the bill, concerned about the length of the conflict in Afghanistan. And President Obama even threatened to veto the package if House liberals tried to tie his hands with an amendment to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Congress needed to pass the bill by July 4. But the entire package isn't complete. The Senate approved its version of the bill in May. And the House legislation is different. That means the issue must return to the Senate. And the Senate isn't going to take up the bill any time soon.

- The Lord seems to have already slowed down progress on the passage of this bill, which was originally to have taken place this weekend. Offer praise that many are now looking carefully into the details of this omnibus legislation. Pray that any language in this bill that is not in the plan or will of God for our country, be stripped from the text before it goes to the White House for signature.

- For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing Whether good or evil. (Eccl. 12:14)

3. Nuke the Oil Spill? Could it Work? - CBN News

The BP oil spill plaguing the Gulf Coast has hit the 140 million gallon mark -- surpassing the record spill in 1979 by a Mexican company. Now, some experts are suggesting using explosives or nuclear weapons to stop the spewing oil. Former President Bill Clinton hinted that may become the only option.

"Unless we send the Navy down deep to blow up the well and cover the leak with piles and piles and piles of rock and debris, which may become necessary -- you don't have to use a nuclear weapon by the way, I've seen all that stuff, just blow it up -- unless we're going to do that, we are dependent on the technical expertise of these people from BP," he said.

- Lord we pray for Your Hand for wisdom to come upon those who are considering how to contain the spill. The impact of this decision could change the earth's foundation permanently; even impacting other fault lines in our land. 4. Venezuela govt to nationalize 11 US-owned oil rigs - AFP

Venezuela's legislature has voted to nationalize 11 oil rigs owned by the US firm Helmerich & Payne.

- Pray that all hidden things in this arrangement be revealed, and that anything detrimental to America's well being would collapse.

- Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us. (Isaiah 8:10)

5. UN Report:: Scrap dollar as sole reserve currency - Reuters

A new United Nations report released on Tuesday calls for abandoning the U.S. dollar as the main global reserve currency, saying it has been unable to safeguard value.

- This report is another sigh that America is now under judgment. Once again, let us turn from our wicked ways of sloth, greed and selfishness and turn to the Lord, obeying Him instead. As the church goes, so goes the nation. (2 Chron.7:14)

- Because you say, "I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing - and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. (Rev. 3:17)

6. Dubai: Iran smuggles nuclear equipment via UAE ports - Ynet News

United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Hamad al-Kaabi has confirmed reports that Iran is using Dubai ports to smuggle equipment needed for its nuclear program, but noted the steps his country had taken to clamp down on blacklisted companies.
- Offer praise for this report, for it shows that other nations in the Middle East are also dealing with the crisis in Iran. Ask that the hands of those who are confronting Ahmadinejad be strengthened for this task.

7. Obama to embrace Netanyahu but press for renewed building freeze - ICEJ News

Israeli PM must please close US ally without risking coalition

Several reports late this week indicate that Obama will extend a warm public welcome to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his visit to Washington next week, but will privately press Netanyahu to extend the ten-month building moratorium in the West Bank in exchange for the Palestinian Authority agreeing to enter direct talks with Israel.

A senior Israeli official's secret meeting with the Turkish foreign minister in Switzerland was apparently held due to pressure from the Obama administration, sources in Jerusalem said Thursday.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to meet him for direct, face-to-face peace talks during a speech Thursday at the American embassy.

The Defense Ministry has begun preparing for the possible transfer to the PA of responsibility for the crossings into the Gaza Strip, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

The internal military probe into the Israel Defense Forces raid on the Turkish aid flotilla to Gaza headed by Gen. (res. ) Giora Eiland is expected to request more time than it was originally allotted to reach its conclusions.

Now half-way through its 11-day trek to Jerusalem, the "Freedom March" for the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Schalit drew nearly 20,000 supporters on Friday as it nears Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's vacation home in Caesarea.

7. ALERT!! Obama signs tough new Iran sanctions bill - ICEJ News

After initially opposing some of its tougher provisions, Obama signed into law on Thursday a new set of sanctions against Iran recently passed by Congress which place tighter restrictions on trade with Iran's energy, financial, insurance and shipping sectors. The legislation also seeks to discourage international companies from doing any business with Iran that might assist its development of a nuclear weapons program.

"With these sanctions, along with others, we are striking at the heart of the Iranian government's ability to fund and develop its nuclear program," Obama said. "We're showing the Iranian government that its actions have consequences And if it persists, the pressure will continue to mount, and its isolation will continue to deepen."

In a related development, a group of Israeli businessmen has started a letter writing campaign to major companies recently denounced by Iran as "Zionist" or "Jewish-owned," urging them to pull out of Iran completely. Some of the companies include giants like Coca-Cola, IBM, Intel and Nestle. "Ahmadinejad is the Hitler of the 21st century and is the first dictator of the century to adopt such blatantly anti-Semitic policies," said Shai Baaton, an Israeli financial advisor who initiated the campaign.

A perfect storm brewing over our nation's independence

There could very well be a perfect storm brewing for the United States. There are three components to the storm: 1) the Middle East situation with Israel, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq; 2) the Gulf oil spill, which some believe could be more disastrous than the flood of Noah's time, and 3) the worsening economic climate that could be exacerbated by the fall out from the oil spill. I am not bringing these things to your attention to instill fear--no, far from it. These are times when we need to press in to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in prayer and supplication. We are a nation that appears to be under judgment for the wickedness that we have tolerated, and it is time to be true citizens and do something about it.

Consider that DEBKAfile is reporting that the United States has brought a third carrier into the Persian Gulf and the US now has some 10,000 combat personnel. The war in Afghanistan has seen increasing casualties during June. According to former National Security Council Middle East Affairs Senior Director Flynt Leverett, the Administration's policies there are setting the stage for a full scale civil war, which favors al Qaeda. Turkey, according to DEBKAfile, is moving toward establishing a new Middle East bloc by joining forces in the region that are dedicated to Israel's destruction. This may well complete the complement of nations in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy.

Market Oracle's Joshua Burnett believes the Gulf oil spill could be the worst disaster since the flood of Noah's time. He has written that hurricanes in the Gulf could pick up oil and deposit it 300 miles inland from the coast. This could poison the vegetation and freshwater sources, resulting in large scale evacuations and massive refugee needs. He says this is the best case scenario. Worse case, Burnett reports, is the methane bubble that caused the oil well to blow, could explode causing a tsunami that would wipe out 80% of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. The UK Telegraph reports that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke may print money to stop the deflationary trend of America's continued recession.

Economic, natural disaster, war time and man-made disasters are tenuously on the American horizon. Some of it is coming in the wake of pressure on Israel to give up its covenant land to terrorists. Some of it is the result of Americans relinquishing their duties of good citizenship by electing evil people. And some of it is due to the failure of technology and bureaucracy. We need a 2 Chronicles 7:14 edict to all in our nation: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Let us this weekend of our Independence celebration, stand in the gap in this way for our nation.

Prayer in America's History

Conceived, Birthed, Sustained by Prayer

The Second Continental Congress called for a day of public humiliation, fasting, and prayer throughout the Colonies on Thursday, July 20, 1775. From the time of the Pilgrims, colonial governors and legislatures issued hundreds of proclamations, calling upon Americans to repent, fast and pray. Now, the Colonies were at war. Fellow-Patriot James Warren wrote Samuel Adams:

Three millions of people on their knees at once, supplicating the aid of Heaven, is a striking circumstance, and a very singular one in America. May the blessings of Heaven follow in answer to our prayers.

Their prayers were heard. When the Declaration of Independence was signed in July, 1776, Samuel Adams exclaimed: "We have this day restored the Sovereign to Whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His kingdom come."

Ours was not a "revolution" like others. The Founders were motivated by faith and righteous principle. Our Republic, where God is acknowledged as the Supreme Author of our "unalienable rights," was not just the fruit of brilliant statesmanship or even the shed blood of patriots, but the grace of God. Our Forefathers were led by Providence. America was birthed by the agonizing prayers of men and women who longed for a land where a God-fearing people could enjoy freedom in their homes, churches, businesses, schools, and private and public associations, where private property and religious liberty would be protected by just laws, where political liberty would allow faith to flourish.

Today, all is in jeopardy. We must pray as never before. Please join us in Call2Falll this Sunday, Independence Day and may God hear our prayers. As you pray and as you celebrate the 4th of July I would encourage you to take just a few minutes as you gather with family and friends and read the Declaration of Independence and rediscover the ideals that make our nation so exceptional. In these uncertain times, it would be good for believers to publically commit to the Source of their real freedom, their real life and real happiness: faith in God through Jesus Christ!

That whenever any form of government, commerce, culture or public opinion becomes destructive to these God-given rights, it is our duty to throw off such beliefs and to trust in the Lord with all our hearts for our future security, believing that it is the right of all believers to cast their cares and needs upon the unbreakable promises of God Who cannot lie.

We, therefore, the congregation assembled here this Lord's Day, July 4, 2010, do solemnly publish and declare, that we are, and of right ought to be, spiritually free and God-dependent people. We chose to give up our rights to live in our own strength and chose, instead, to live by His strength and promises. We believe that he is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot earn.

And for the support of this declaration and with a firm reliance on the protection of God Our Father, Jesus our Lord and God's Holy Spirit, we pledge to depend on God and on each other for the rest of our days on earth.

The first settlement in North America was Fort Caroline at St. John's River in Florida, founded by French Christians known as Huguenots.

On JUNE 30, 1564, they set a day of Thanksgiving and offered the first Protestant prayer in North America:

"We sang a psalm of Thanksgiving unto God, beseeching Him that it would please Him to continue His accustomed goodness towards us."

Rep. Charles E. Bennett sponsored a bill, September 21, 1950, establishing the Fort Caroline National Memorial. In 1989, Rep. Bennett recited the history:

"The 425th anniversary of the beginning settlements by Europeans . . . renamed from Fort Caroline to San Mateo, to San Nicolas, to Cowford and finally to Jacksonville in 1822. . .

Three small ships carrying 300 Frenchmen led by Rene de Laudonniere anchored in the river known today as the St. Johns."

Charles Bennett continued:

"On June 30, 1564, construction of a triangular-shaped fort...was begun with the help of a local tribe of Timucuan Indians...Home for this hardy group of Huguenots...their strong religious . . ..motivations inspired them."

Rep. Bennett related the colony's end:

"Fort Caroline existed but for a short time . . . Spain . . . captured . . . the fort and . . . slaughtered most of its inhabitants in September of 1565."

"SON OF HAMAS" WINS COURT CASE

Calls to thank Christians who have been praying for him.

(Lancaster, PA, July 1, 2010) -- By God's grace and the prayers of evangelical Christians around the U.S. and around the world, Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the founders of Hamas, won his court case Wednesday after the U.S. government relented and decided to grant him political asylum.

Mosab called me yesterday to tell me the good news. He asked me to pass on his heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been praying faithfully for him, including those who participated in the 2010 Epicenter Conference over the weekend. At the conference, we showed an exclusive interview with Mosab on how he moved from jihad to Jesus. Tens of thousands of Christians prayed for the Lord to protect him, grant him favor with the U.S. authorities, and give him courage and boldness to continue being a witness for how the Lord Jesus Christ has completely changed his heart and given him a deep love for the U.S., Israel, as well as his fellow Palestinians.

BP's Deep Horizon oil rig blew up on April 20, this year's Israeli Independence Day. Coincidence? Or God-incidence? On the previous day FOXNews reported that Israel could no longer depend on US support at the UN.

This coming Tuesday, July 6th, a meeting is scheduled at the White House between Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu and U.S. President Barak Hussein Obama. Although it is being billed as a friendly visit to make up for the atrocious way Obama treated Bibi the last time they met, this meeting may be pivotal for the future of America.

God's judgments of nations can strike in the economic, political or social realm as well as in the realm of nature. Amazed, we have seen His judgments falling with every trespass made by US administrations against His plan for Israel. We wonder if we will ever see the land of our birth as a great nation again.

For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall return the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat [YHWH is Judge], and will judge them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land. (Joel 3:1-2)

Can Americans, especially those in the Body of Messiah, see the connections between America's 20+ year land for peace policy (actually for just a piece of paper) and the catastrophes that have come on them already?

Thank God for the US Congress and many Americans who are Israel's friends and want their President to stand strongly with Israel, but the Obama administration has shown time and again that they are not a friend of Israel. History shows that nations are either blessed or suffer according to what their leaders do. Since the US President sets foreign policy, the US is now in a confrontation with God Almighty.

Scripture says, LORD builds up Jerusalem: He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. (Psalms 147:2) Obama says Jews are not allowed to build in Jerusalem - specifically areas that are biblical Jerusalem. Obama says Israel must divide its land to create a Palestinian State. That land is where God says He will bring us so that He can save us. Jerusalem, Judah (Zechariah 12:2-3) and Samaria (Jeremiah 31:4-5) are what the world - including Obama, his administration and the State Department - call "occupied." Yet this is where God has promised to restore Israel, and He is doing this for His glory (Ezekiel 36:22b-24).

Those who believe in the God of the Bible should support what He is doing with all of His heart and soul before their eyes! Therefore we write to you, some of whom are elders in the Church in America, that you would understand the vital importance for the destiny of your nation of this meeting between Obama and Netanyahu. God is looking for the intercessor.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it. But I found none. Therefore I have poured out My indignation upon them. I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath. Their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, says the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 22:30-31)

Will you set the trumpet to your mouth this weekend and call the saints to prayer? Pray for God to hedge in Obama so that he cannot manipulate Israel's leader with his smooth words or intimidate Netanyahu to make commitments that are not in line with God's will. Pray for Netanyahu to be firm and courageous, influenced by God's Spirit.

1. Alex hits Mexico's Gulf coast as Category 2 hurricane - USA Today

Hurricane Alex made landfall on Mexico's Gulf coast as a powerful Category 2 storm Wednesday, spawning tornadoes in nearby Texas, forcing evacuations in both countries and whipping up high waves that frustrated oil-spill cleanup efforts and pushed crude onto beaches.

- Lord, we pray for Your comfort and help as the region cleans up after the hurricane, and that You will move to bring in souls for Your Kingdom.

2. Kagan Defends Revising Medical Group's Statement on Partial-Birth Abortion - Fox News

In a rare moment of drama in her confirmation hearings, Supreme Court Justice nominee Elena Kagan was forced to defend her revision of an obstetrician group's policy statement on partial-birth abortion while she was an adviser in the Clinton White House.

- Lord, with the fruit of lying and manipulation shown openly before this committee, we ask that this nomination be denied.

- "Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies." (Psalm 40:4)

3. National debt soars to highest level since WWII - USA Today

The federal debt will represent 62% of the nation's economy by the end of this year, the highest percentage since just after World War II, according to a long-term budget outlook released today by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

- Father, we pray that You will remove those leaders whose lust for power drives them to spend taxpayer money on unsustainable programs. We place our trust in You, for only You can reverse this economic disaster.

- "Is this not the fast I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?" (Isaiah 58:6)

4. House Approves Financial Overhaul; Senate Vote Awaits - Fox News

The House of Representatives passed a sweeping overhaul of the nation's financial system Wednesday setting the stage for a final vote in the Senate where votes for the far-reaching bill remained in flux.

- We pray, Lord, that the "flux" in these votes will turn towards rejection of this legislation. We pray for protection against the socialist agenda.

- "The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; let them be caught in the plots which they have devised." (Psalm 10:2)

5. Obama to Sign Iran Sanctions Bill on Thursday - Fox News

President Barack Obama will sign legislation Thursday imposing tough new sanctions against Iran as further punishment for the country's unwillingness to give up its ambitions of becoming a nuclear power.

- Lord, as we have seen no evidence that sanctions actually work with rogue nations, we ask for Your intervention against Iran's plans. Like Nebuchadnezzar went insane and ate grass, we pray that You would cause the leaders of Iran to bow their knee to Your sovereignty.

- "And at the end of the time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever." (Daniel 4:34)

6. Wisconsin Supreme Court upholds gay marriage ban - Washington Times

The Wisconsin Supreme Court upheld the state's constitutional ban on gay marriage and civil unions in a unanimous ruling Wednesday that is sure to disappoint gay rights activists.

- Thank You, Lord for this victory. We ask that it be protected against the inevitable challenges.

7. Jews are blacks' worst enemy - Jerusalem Post

Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan has written the leaders of more than a dozen major US Jewish groups and denominations seeking "repair of my people from the damage" he claims Jews have caused blacks for centuries.

- Father, we bind the spirit of murder, the Haman spirit that hates Your chosen. Let no man fall for this blatant scam against the Jewish people.

- "Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune which they have prescribed" (Isaiah 10:1)

2. UK Church to boycott Israeli goods - Jerusalem Post

The Methodist Church of Britain voted on Wednesday to boycott Israeli-produced goods and services from the West Bank because of Israel's "illegal occupation of Palestinian lands."

3. Direct talks if PM clarifies stand - Jerusalem Post

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, in an apparent charm offensive aimed at the Israeli public, has told reporters from the Hebrew media he is willing to enter direct negotiations with the Netanyahu government, as soon as he hears from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu regarding Israel's position on borders and security issues.

4. Kantor: Situation of European Jews worst 'since end of WWII' - Jerusalem Post

European Jewish Congress President Moshe Kantor believes that the situation of European Jewry "is at its worst since the end of World War II."

5. IDF strikes 3 targets in Gaza - Ynet News

Israel Air Force Jets struck three terror targets in the Gaza Strip Wednesday night. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said the targets hit include a weapons factory in the northern Strip and a terror tunnel in southern Gaza.

Something Supreme To Think About

The Second Amendment to the US Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." These are straightforward words--a well regulated Militia and the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. And the US Supreme Court ruled Monday that indeed the American people have the fundamental right to bear arms, and that right cannot be violated by state and local governments. The Supreme Court, however, was divided 5 to 4 on this very simple issue. It is simple because the Constitution directly grants "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms."

Writing for the majority opinion, Justice Samuel Alito said: "It is clear that the Framers . . . counted the right to keep and bear arms among those fundamental rights necessary to our system of ordered liberty." Yet the four that read the same words and disagreed about their meaning, did so as Justice Stephen Breyer wrote: "In a nation whose constitution foresees democratic decision-making, is it so fundamental a matter as to require taking that power from the people? What is it here that the people did not know? What is it that a judge knows better?" Breyer was referring to local gun control laws that he and the dissenters on the Court believe is the "democratic" will of the people that trumps the bill of rights.

The words in the Bill of Rights are very clear. And the intent is undeniable. Yet Justices on the Supreme Court read these words and twist their meaning to their political poles. They disregard the conscious of their confirmation to the High Court--to uphold the Constitution and weigh the issues according to the justice of the law rather than their personal politics. It is appalling that members of the Supreme Court, or of any court for that matter, would be prejudiced by political bias in their reading of the law. And it is amazing how they can twist the words of and apply their fancies to the Supreme Law of the Land to justify their lack of justice.

This, however, is not exclusive to the Supreme Court. Jesus Christ said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me." Every Christian should understand by this very verse that Christ is the only way to salvation. Yet we have had those who claim to be Christian--presidents, scholars, pastors--say that there is more than one way to heaven. You see, the words in the Constitution, and the Word of God, were written for a purpose. They mean exactly what is written. Trouble comes when humans interpret these words based on what they want them to mean instead of what they do mean. Life becomes abortion; Eternal life becomes hell. All with good intentions, of course.

The Kagan Nomination

JEWISH CLERGY GROUP: ELENA KAGAN ISN'T 'KOSHER' TO SERVE ON SUPREME COURT

Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan is "not kosher"--meaning she is not fit to serve on the court--according to more than 850 Orthodox members of the Rabbinical Alliance of America. ..."It is clear from Ms. Kagan's record on issues such as abortion-on-demand, partial-birth-abortion, the radical homosexual and lesbian agenda, the 'supremacy' of the anti-family panoply over religious liberties of biblical adherents, et. al., that she will function as a flame-throwing radical, hastening society's already steep decline into Sodom and Gomorrah," the rabbis said in the statement (CNSNews.com) Read more.

- Praise the Lord that these rabbis are expressing their views about Elena Kagan. Pray for the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee as they question Ms. Kagan for her fitness to serve. Pray that all Jews, Christians, and Roman Catholics throughout the USA will raise their voices to the Senate, clearly stating their opinions about Ms. Kagan. Pray for her that she can understand how she has moved from the Word of the Lord to politics.

- "But the Lord shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness." (Psalm 9: 7,8)

Israeli P.M. Warns Iran

ISRAELI VICE PM WARNS IRAN: CHOOSE "THE BOMB" OR "SURVIVAL"

In a blunt message at the 2010 Epicenter Conference that suggested a war between Israel and Iran may not be far off, Israeli Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon on Saturday warned Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to choose "the Bomb" or "survival."

Yaalon said he agreed with the U.S. assessment that Iran is between one and three years away from acquiring a nuclear weapon. He said there is still time to stop Iran, but time is running out. He warned that "any American hopes of attracting Syria, Lebanon, or Turkey away from Iran would effectively be dead" if Iran builds nuclear weapons. He also said Turkey is rapidly shifting from a moderate democracy to an Islamic republic and suggested this is of great concern to the Israeli government. Yaalon delivered a powerful and detailed 55 minute policy address, then did a 30 minute Q&A session with me that covered everything from the status of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit being held by Hamas, to Islamic eschatology and the Twelfth Imam, and Yaalon's fascinating personal history and where his family came to Israel from. Israeli Ambassador: No "Rift" with U.S.

Israeli Ambassador Oren denies statement of 'rift' with U.S., despite reports

Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren denied Sunday that he had told Israeli diplomats a "tectonic rift" was emerging between the U.S. and Israel. Oren said that he had spoken of a "tectonic shift in American foreign and domestic policies" under President Obama and that "Israel has to adjust to that." "I said 'shift,' not 'rift,'" he noted. The Good News is that there are still some who care, who stand, and who remember . . .
3000 vets on motorcycles from across the USA paraded in D.C. the Sunday before Memorial Day, while a solitary, saluting Marine greeted them out on Constitution Avenue . . . the Marine stood at salute for 3 straight hours, while the parade of roaring bikes kept on coming . . . it is held in remembrance of those who've fallen in the military . . . the event (or the group) is called Rolling Thunder . . . George Bush used to go out and meet with these bikers before they paraded . . . the camera is on the Marine a lot . . . watch his struggles with his emotions, and his struggles with holding that salute . . . the way he salutes is very touching . . . his head lowered, his eyes down, in reverence for the fallen . . . it got to be overwhelming for him . . . and the tears started flowing . . .
