Franklin Graham Asks for Prayer

Franklin Graham Urges Prayer:

Turkish Invasion of Syria Begins,

'Humanitarian Catastrophe' Feared as Kurdish Civilians Rush to Protect Border

Earlier, Turkish media reports said Turkish jets had bombed Syrian Kurdish positions across the border from Turkey.

Warning of a possible "humanitarian catastrophe", US-allied Kurdish forces in northeast Syria are flocking to the Turkish border to face the onslaught from Ankara.

The Kurdish-led civilian administration, known as the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, says: "We call upon our people, of all ethnic groups, to move toward areas close to the border with Turkey to carry out acts of resistance during this sensitive historical time."

It also urged the international community to not stand by as "a humanitarian catastrophe might befall our people" in northeastern Syria.

Turkey has been amassing troops on the border for weeks. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says his forces will invade Syria to wipe out the Kurds and establish a "safe zone" where it will relocate 2 million Syrian refugees.

Turkey considers the Kurdish forces who operate inside northeast Syria to be terrorists due to their ties with Kurdish separatists who challenge Erdogan's power in his country.

However, the Syrian Kurds are US allies who fought alongside American soldiers in the years-long fight against ISIS.

The invasion comes after President Donald Trump said on Sunday that US troops will step aside and not intervene to save its Kurdish allies, a major shift in US policy that drew bipartisan backlash.

Trump defended his decision to pull US troops out of northeast Syria on Twitter Wednesday, saying it was time for the US to disengage from the Middle East's "stupid endless wars."

"Fighting between various groups that has been going on for hundreds of years," he said. "USA should never have been in (the) Middle East. Moved our 50 soldiers out. Turkey MUST take over captured ISIS fighters that Europe refused to have returned. The stupid endless wars, for us, are ending!" he said.

But Trump also has threatened to "totally destroy and obliterate" Turkey's economy if the Turkish invasion into Syria went too far.

. . . While Trump shows no signs of coming to the defense of US-allies in northeast Syria, evangelist Franklin Graham is urging Believers to pray.
"TODAY I ask that you join me in praying for the lives affected by the White House decision to pull US troops out of northern Syria. Both Democrat & Republican leaders are deeply concerned because this would be, in essence, abandoning our closest allies there-the Kurdish people," he wrote on Twitter.

"The Kurds are the ones who have been leading the fight against ISIS in Syria. Also pray for the Christians who the Kurds have been protecting. They could be annihilated. Would you pray w/me that Pres. Trump will reconsider? Thousands of lives hang in the balance."

1. Arab League to hold emergency meeting over Turkish offensive into Syria - Reuters

CAIRO (Reuters) - The Arab League will hold an emergency meeting on Saturday, it said in a statement, following a call by Egypt for the body to meet over Turkey's offensive into Syria.

Egypt's foreign ministry, in a statement on Wednesday, "condemned in the strongest terms the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory," saying the offensive "represents a blatant and unacceptable attack on the sovereignty of a brotherly Arab state."

Turkey launched a military operation against Kurdish fighters in northeast Syria on Wednesday just days after U.S. troops pulled back from the area.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said the aim was to eliminate what he called a "terror corridor" on Turkey's southern border, but European countries called on Ankara to halt the operation.

2. Shaked: Kurdish state is in Israel's interests - Israel National News

A short time ago, Yom Kippur ended, a day of introspection. 46 years ago, today, a war broke out in which we were able to defeat an enemy who sought to destroy us, thanks to the great valor and dedication of our IDF soldiers.

Our national memory requires us to revolt against violence directed against another nation. Such is the Turkish violence directed against the Kurdish people in northern Syria.

I have said this in the past: It is in the interest of both Israel and the United States, for the security and stability of the region, that a Kurdish state be established.

The Kurds are the world's largest nation without a country, with a population of about 35 million people. They are an ancient people that share a special historical connection to the Jewish people.

The Kurds in general, and especially those who live in Turkey and northern Syria, are the most progressive and Western in that region. They are the main force that fought against ISIS and endured thousands of deaths, under a special joint leadership of men and women.

3. UN Security Council to Meet in Closed-Door Emergency Session on Syria - Jewish Press

The 15-member United Nations Security Council is scheduled to meet Thursday on Syria in an emergency session behind closed doors in response to a request by its five European members: Britain, Germany, France, Belgium and Poland.

The move comes in response to the start of a military invasion of northern Syria launched by Turkey with the announced intention to prevent what Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called in a tweet, a "terror corridor across our southern border," and, he claimed, "to bring peace to the area."

France, Britain and Germany were "finalizing a joint statement that will be extremely clear on the fact that we condemn very strongly and firmly what has been reported," French European Affairs Minister Amélie de Montchalin told Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday.

Montchalin added that a separate statement from the 28 state-European Union has yet to be formulated because some countries have not agreed to sign on, Reuters reported.

4. 'Only Likud, Blue and White, and Yisrael Beyteinu in government' - Israel National News

Yisrael Beyteinu leader Avigdor Liberman has presented his outline for a unity government.

The outline would feature a rotation in which Binyamin Netanyahu would be prime minister first and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz wiould be prime minister second.

Initially, only Likud, Blue and White, and Yisrael Beyteinu would be allowed in the coalition. Additional parties would be allowed to join the government only after basic issues and budgets have been settled.

Liberman's plan includes four steps. In the first phase, a joint team will be set up for the three parties to formulate the basic lines of the unity government. In the second stage, if agreement is reached on the basic lines, Liberman demands that the president's outline for the prime minister's rotation be adopted.

5. 2 killed in Anti-Semitic Yom Kippur shooting at German synagogue - World Israel News

As Jews around the world observed Yom Kippur on Wednesday, German police announced that two people were killed in a shooting at a synagogue in the city of Halle.

An attacker tried to force his way into the synagogue in Halle but did not get inside. The head of Halle's Jewish community, Max Privorozki, told German news magazine Der Spiegel that a camera at the entrance of the synagogue showed a person trying to break into the building. "The assailant shot several times at the door and also threw several Molotov cocktails, firecrackers or grenades to force his way in," he said. "But the door remained closed - God protected us. The whole thing lasted perhaps five to 10 minutes."

Privorozki said there were 70 or 80 people inside the synagogue when the shooting occurred. Dpa quoted unidentified security sources as saying that an assailant laid home-made explosives outside.

Police said in a tweet that the suspects fled in a car, and soon after reported that one person had been arrested. They gave no information about that person, or the suspected target or targets, or why they thought the attack may have been carried out by multiple assailants.

1. Turkey begins assault on Kurdish fighters in Syria, after US forces step aside - The Times of Israel

Turkey launched a military operation Wednesday against Kurdish fighters in northeastern Syria after US forces withdrew from the area, with activists reporting airstrikes on a town on Syria's northern border. There were no independent reports, however, on what was being struck in the initial hours of the operation.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of the campaign, which followed an announcement Sunday by US President Donald Trump that American troops would step aside in a shift in US policy that essentially abandoned the Syrian Kurds. They were longtime US allies in the fight against the Islamic State group.

"Our mission is to prevent the creation of a terror corridor across our southern border, and to bring peace to the area," Erdogan said in a tweet. TV reports in Turkey said its warplanes had bombed Syrian Kurdish positions across the border. (Read more)

2. US imposes visa restrictions on Chinese officials over 'brutal suppression' of Uygurs and other Muslims in Xinjiang, citing 'internment camps' - South China Morning Post

The US government on Tuesday placed visa restrictions on Chinese government officials suspected of repressing Uygurs and other ethnic minorities in China. The sanctions target government officials and members of the ruling Communist Party of China "who are believed to be responsible for, or complicit in, the detention or abuse of Uygurs, Kazakhs or other members of Muslim minority groups in Xinjiang, China", US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo announced, less than two days before planned high-level trade talks resume in Washington with a team led by Chinese Vice-Premier Liu He.

The new sanctions follow the US Commerce Department's decision on Monday to restrict the export of US products to 28 Chinese government and business entities identified as playing a role in the "brutal suppression" of Muslims in China. The "blacklist" of 20 local public security bureaus in Xinjiang and eight technology giants includes Hikvision and Zhejiang Dahua Technology, two of the world's largest manufacturers of video surveillance products. - Let those who are adversaries of my soul be ashamed and consumed; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor, who seek to injure me. (Psalm 71:13)

3. Trump Rids Major U.S. Container Port of Chinese Communist Control - Judicial Watch

In an unreported Trump administration victory, the Communists are out after a drawn-out national security review forced a unit of China-based COSCO Shipping Holdings Co. (Orient Overseas Container Line-OOCL) to sell the cherished container terminal business, which handles among the largest freight of imports into the U.S.

It all started with a 40-year container terminal lease between the Port of Long Beach in southern California and Hong Kong. The Obama administration proudly signed the agreement in 2012 giving China control of America's second-largest container port behind the nearby Port of Los Angeles.

After a national security review and federal intervention, the Long Beach terminal business, which handles millions of containers annually, is finally being sold to an Australian company called Macquarie Infrastructure Partners. (Read more)

- Father, thank You for Your help in securing this important port of entry, and we pray the Chinese will be removed from all situations that impact our national security.

4. Durham investigation into origins of 2016 Trump campaign surveillance expands its scope - Fox News

John Durham, the U.S. attorney reviewing the origins of the 2016 counterintelligence investigation into Russia and the Trump campaign, has expanded his investigation adding agents and resources. The timeline has grown from the beginning of the probe through the election and now has included a post-election timeline through the spring of 2017, up to when Robert Mueller was named special counsel.

Barr assigned Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, back in May to conduct the inquiry into alleged misconduct and improper surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016, as well as whether Democrats were the ones who'd improperly colluded with foreign actors. The attorney "is gathering information from numerous sources, including a number of foreign countries. At Attorney General Barr's request, the president has contacted other countries to ask them to introduce the attorney general and Mr. Durham to appropriate officials," Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said last month. (Read more)

- Father, we pray U.S. Attorney Durham's investigation will rid our nation of systemic corruption.

- I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. (Isaiah 1:26)

5. Trey Gowdy Joins Trump's Legal Team to Fight Impeachment - Breitbart

Former Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has reportedly signed on to serve as outside counsel to President Donald Trump as part of his efforts to fight the House Democrats' impeachment inquiry.

The former lawmaker served as House Oversight Committee chairman and oversaw the investigation into former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and the events surrounding the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya. The development came after the White House sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi confirming it will not cooperate with the impeachment probe, branding it "illegitimate" and "unconstitutional." (Read more)

- Father, we pray Trey Gowdy will have Your wisdom and discernment as he serves President Trump.

- Since a king's word is supreme, who can say to him, "What are you doing?" Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure. (Ecclesiastes 8:4-5)

6. Whistleblower Had Working Relationship With Current 2020 Democratic Candidate - Epoch Times

Michael Atkinson, the inspector general of the intelligence community, told lawmakers in a closed session last week that the whistleblower had a working relationship with one of the people running to get the nomination to oppose Trump in 2020, three sources told the Washington Examiner.

Atkinson didn't say which Democratic candidate the whistleblower was linked to nor did he detail the working relationship. It wasn't clear whether the link was in government service or of another nature.

Atkinson wrote in a letter to Joseph Maguire, acting director of national intelligence, that a preliminary review of the whistleblower's complaint found "some indicia of an arguable political bias on the part of the Complainant in favor of a rival political candidate." (Read more)

- Father God, we ask You to fully expose this plot to malign President Trump and have him removed.

- May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay. (Psalm 35:4)

7. 'Grabbed and pulled behind a tapestry': 43 more women come forward with new allegations against Trump - Washington Examiner

An upcoming book has promised to reveal 43 new allegations of inappropriate behavior against President Trump, including 26 instances of unwanted sexual contact.

A sneak preview of the bombshell book titled All the President's Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator and provided by Esquire explains that "journalists Barry Levine and Monique El-Faizy draw on over 100 interviews, many of them exclusive, to craft a detailed history of Trump's relationships with women, stretching back to his childhood and education as well as his rise through real estate, entertainment, and politics."

The exclusive excerpt from the book alleges that the early days of Trump's courtship of first lady Melania Trump were marred by instances of infidelity and unwelcome advances by Trump on multiple women. Trump has consistently denied all allegations of sexual misconduct against him. Prior to All the President's Women, Trump had been accused of sexual impropriety by at least two dozen women. - Father, we pray those who spread gossip will not be able to manipulate the people into rejecting men and women You have anointed for the work of governance.

- Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. (Psalm 51:1-2)

8. Planned Parenthood announces $45M campaign to defeat Trump, flip Senate - The Hill

Planned Parenthood's super PAC announced a $45 million electoral campaign on Wednesday to defeat President Trump and Republicans in key Senate races. The investment will fund a "large-scale" grassroots organization and canvass, digital, television, radio and mail programs.

"The stakes are higher than ever, and we're coming out more powerfully than ever with the largest investment we've ever made," said Kelley Robinson, executive director of Planned Parenthood Votes, in an interview with The Hill.

The campaign will focus on Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Those states are must-wins for Trump. But Republican senators are also fighting to keep their seats in Arizona, Colorado and North Carolina in races that will determine which party controls the Senate after 2020. (Read more)

- Father, we declare and decree - the voters of the United States will no longer be fooled into voting for pro-abortion candidates no matter how much money is spent.

9. PG&E: Massive power shut-off to hit 800,000 customers, could extend nearly a week - San Francisco Chronicle

California's wildfire crisis will enter an unprecedented new stage Wednesday as PG&E plans to begin cutting power to about 800,000 customers, shutting down the electric lines that have sparked many of the state's worst blazes and setting off a chaotic scramble of people preparing for an outage that could last a week in some places.

As word spread Tuesday of the preemptive shut-off - which is set to hit the Bay Area at noon - those in the locations expected to go dark stockpiled water and canned food and emptied store shelves of batteries for flashlights and cell phones. They made a run on gas pumps, causing lines that sometimes extended for blocks. And they hurried to help loved ones whose medical needs require electricity.

The outages could last until next Tuesday, and perhaps even longer, for some customers. The company will have to inspect all of the power lines it turns off, while fixing any damage it finds, and that can't happen until the weather calms in most places on Thursday, according to PG&E. Officials said the job would require an "army" of workers in trucks, in helicopters and on foot. (Read more)

- Father God, we lift up those in California without power and ask You to protect their health and safety.

- No one is like you, Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power. (Jeremiah 10:6)

10. Devin Nunes' Lawsuit Against Twitter Could Turn Into The Company's Worst Nightmare - The Federalist

When Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., sued Twitter in Virginia court in March for negligence over multiple cases of defamation and impersonation by the social media giant's users, he was mocked and laughed at for thinking his case would accomplish anything. But following a Virginia judge's ruling last week that Nunes' suit could proceed to trial in the Old Dominion, it may be Nunes who gets the last laugh.

In many ways, Twitter has already lost a big battle with significant implications for the company's future. Being forced to go through discovery in what it clearly considers to be a hostile venue is not a costless exercise for the tech giant. Twitter now has a choice to make: will it quietly concede Nunes' claims, promise to eliminate political bias in its operations, and stave off a potential legal disaster, or will it continue to thumb its nose at court orders in the hope that some federal court might save it from itself?

Twitter's response will have ramifications far beyond its own business. How this case shakes out could shape the legal environment for social media companies for years or decades to come. (Read more)

- Father, we pray Twitter and all social media companies will be held accountable for the censorship of conservative ideas while also allowing conservatives to be bullied, defamed, and slandered on their platforms.

- I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me. Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues. (Psalm 120:1-2)

Why the White House will not cooperate with impeachment

The White House answered House of Representatives calls for impeachment with a stunning and historic eight-page letter calling House leadership's approach toward impeachment unlawful and unconstitutional. While all you will hear in the news media and from the Democratic leadership is refusal by the president to cooperate with the House investigation, you will not likely hear why the refusal by the White House. The news media and Democrats will do all they can to convince the American people that the president is obstructing their impeachment, and therefore, should be impeached. The White House response as to why it will not cooperate, however, is worth considering. Here is the "why" you won't hear.

The White House letter pointed to certain legal and political facts that call into question the actions of the House leadership that all Americans should consider before jumping on the impeachment bandwagon. The letter states, "You have conducted your proceedings in secret. You have violated civil liberties and the separation of powers by threatening Executive Branch officials, claiming that you will seek to punish those who exercise fundamental constitutional rights and prerogatives. All of this violates the Constitution, the rule of law, and every past precedent. Never before in our history has the House of Representatives-under the control of either political party-taken the American people down the dangerous path you seem determined to pursue."

The letter outlines three points suggesting the "impeachment inquiry" is illegal in its current form. The letter states: "Your "Inquiry" Is Constitutionally Invalid and Violates Basic Due Process Rights and Separation of Powers," explaining that never before in history has the House attempted an impeachment inquiry without a vote. It also has not established due process, and has not provided equal subpoena power to Minority leadership, ensuring a one-sided outcome. Point 2 states "The Invalid "Impeachment Inquiry" Plainly Seeks To Reverse the Election of 2016 and To influence the Election of 2020," calling the impeachment attempt without evidence "a naked political strategy." Point III states, "There Is No Legitimate Basis for Your "Impeachment Inquiry": Instead, the Committee's Actions Raise Serious Questions."

The third point reaches deep beyond the media hype and the Democratic Party accusations. It points to the impeachment narrative lacking substance of an impeachable offense. The letter calls into question the actions of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) reading an inaccurate version of the president's call transcript with the president of Ukraine, and Schiff lying about having contact with the whistleblower prior to his complaint. For all these reasons, the letter states that the Executive Branch refuses to participate with the inquiry. Now you know the entire story about the letter, not an interpretive opinion passed off as unbiased news. As Ephesians 5:6 says, "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." Pay close attention so that you are not deceived.

Gov. Perry Calls for Day of Prayer, Fasting

"Bold Prayers Honor God;
God Honors Bold Prayers!"

In the 9th month of Tennessee Governor Bill Lee's first term, he proclaimed this Thursday, 10.10 as a Day of Prayer, Humility, and Fasting.

In the history of the United States there's only been a few times where Government officials called the people to a time of prayer, humility and fasting. In those times, God heard and answered.

The constant need in our modern-day culture has created gross deficiencies leading to spiritual barrenness. Our lives have become cluttered, complicated and compromised. We are in need of God's help.

Would you consider spending time this Thursday in worship, prayer and fasting? God will honor your commitment for our state and our nation!
If you live in the greater Nashville region, join us for a public gathering to pray with thousands of other believers at the Municipal Arena, across from the state capitol, at 7:00 p.m. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

Forever His,

Bob Perry

Please Note:

P.S. If you are receiving this email and live outside of the state of Tennessee we would greatly appreciate your prayer coverage. We are believing for this to be the beginning of many other states to follow.

Congressman Moves to Expel Pelosi

Resolution To Expel Nancy Pelosi from Congress Introduced Pursuant to Article 1, Section 5 of the US Constitution

. . . perhaps GOP Rep. Ralph Abraham of Louisiana will manage to win some votes with his attempt to get a political luminary removed from the position they hold in the Washington firmament.
His resolution consists of one sentence: "Resolved, That pursuant to Article 1, Section 5, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, Representative Nancy Pelosi be, and she hereby is, expelled from the House of Representatives and the Office of the Speaker is declared to be vacant."
That section of the Constitution states that "[e]ach House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member."

According to Fox News, Abraham's attempt to get Pelosi removed, introduced on Tuesday, unsurprisingly has no chance of passing the House.
The network reported it was "told that the resolution has been closely held, and hasn't secured many Republican cosponsors - but that Abraham's office expects it to gain traction."
"Nancy Pelosi's vicious crusade against our lawfully-elected President is nothing more than a politically-motivated witch hunt and it must be stopped," a statement from Abraham read. "She has disgraced the people's House and weaponized the Speaker's gavel for her party's political gain."
"I have introduced a resolution calling for her to be expelled from the House and for the Speaker's Office to be vacated." (WND) Read more.
- Father, we thank You that at least one member of Congress is publicly standing up to the pressure that Nancy Pelosi is placing on the members of the House of Representatives, in a move to impeach President Trump. We ask that, by the move of the Spirit, this proposed bill would gain traction and pass in the House, in Your Name, amen.
- "Then he said to me, "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the Lord of hosts." (Zechariah 4:6)

BE STILL, MY SOUL!

"Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20)

Lyrics

Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side; Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain; Leave to thy God to order and provide; In every change He faithful will remain. Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, Friend Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertake To guide the future as He has the past. Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.
Be still, my soul, though dearest friends depart And all is darkened in the vale of tears; Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart, Who comes to soothe thy sorrows and thy fears. Be still, my soul; thy Jesus can repay From His own fulness all He takes away.
Be still, my soul; the hour is hastening on When we shall be forever with the Lord, When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored. Be still, my soul; when change and tears are past, All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

Signs and Wonders

THE 2019 TRANSIT OF MERCURY

Mark your calendar: On Monday, Nov 11th, Mercury will pass directly in front the sun. The rare transit begins at 12:35 UT (7:35 am EST) and lasts for almost six hours. Mercury's tiny form-jet black and perfectly round-will glide slowly across the solar disk, as shown in this movie created by science-artist Larry Koehn of ShadowandSubstance.com.
People in every continent except Australia can see at least a portion of the crossing. In the USA, the best place to be is on the Atlantic coast, where the entire transit is visible. On the Pacific coast the transit will already be in progress at sunrise.
Warning! Do not stare at the sun during the transit. Mercury covers a tiny, tiny fraction of the solar disk, so the sun remains as bright as ever. Eye damage can occur.

"I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke." (Acts 2:19)

'I Know We Have Political Warfare . . .
I Strongly Believe It's Spiritual As Well'

Young Ethiopian Immigrant, Adopted by Christian Family, Prays for President Trump and America

After President Trump finished his speech to the Young Black Leadership Summit at the White House, a young woman in attendance yelled something that stopped the president in his tracks.

"Let me pray for you," Mahalet, an Ethiopian immigrant adopted by a Christian family in Indiana, said. Trump stopped the music and brought her up on stage to the presidential podium, according to Justin Wilson, who attended the Turning Point USA event.

"I'm not really good with prayers or anything like that but I just want to say thank you, Mr. President," she said, "and I know we have a political warfare right now, but I strongly believe that it is a spiritual one as well."
"And I want to make sure that, I mean, I know that Americans are gonna wake up and we're gonna get back to looking to God instead of social media and we're gonna look back to Jesus because Jesus saves and this country was founded upon the Constitution, was built on godly principles and we're gonna fight for that," she added. "And I just want to encourage you guys to pray every day for this nation."

Then she began her prayer, saying "I love God and I want to pray real quick."
