"Praying for All in Authority"
Friday, January 22, 2016

"The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, And the Lord sits as King forever. The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace."
(Psalm 29:10,11)

Important Notice:

We are trusting God that our power will not fail this weekend, but if it does, it may be awhile before we can publish a Brief again. If so, we will resume publication as soon as possible.

Thank you all for agreeing with us in prayer for a MIRACLE this weekend so that God will loose His angels and NO ONE will lose power in this historic storm.

The Middle East in Focus

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10)

GOD SENDS A SIGN OF LIFE IN THE SKIES OVER ISRAEL

Amazing. Above Israel, "Chai" shines -- the Hebrew symbol of life!

Please note:

Even though some of the headlines we bring you are naming "Palestine" as a state, in the Word of God there is no "Palestine." Rather, the correct terminology is "the West Bank" or "Judea and Samaria." The only state is the state of Israel.

Due to legal constraints, we are not allowed to change text we are forwarding to you. Thank you for hearing our heart in this critical matter.

The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday announced the conclusion of a major two-week drill on the northern border, which for the first time simulated concurrent wars on the Lebanese and Syrian fronts.

The drill was designed to prepare troops for a long-term conflict, the IDF said, and came amid heightened tensions with Lebanese terror group Hezbollah, following the alleged Israeli assassination of notorious terrorist Samir Kuntar, a major figure in the organization.

GOC Northern Command Aviv Kochavi said in a statement that the exercise was designed to simulate a fight against Hezbollah and the Islamic Jihad terror group on the two fronts. (Read more)

Washington on Wednesday condemned a planned Israeli move to appropriate West Bank land near Jericho, saying the action called into question Jerusalem's commitment to a two-state solution with the Palestinians.

The Defense Ministry said earlier in the day that officials approved the expropriation of some 370 acres West Bank agricultural land near the Palestinian city of Jericho, the largest such move since August 2014.

"We strongly oppose any steps that could accelerate settlement expansion and we believe they're fundamentally incompatible with a two-state solution and call into question frankly the Israeli government's commitment to a two-state solution," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said. (Read more)

And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. Another 21 million people are under National Weather Service watches and advisories for winter weather in anticipation of Jonas' impacts.

Jonas had already dumped as much as 18 inches of snow in western North Carolina and up to 16 inches in eastern Kentucky as of late Friday afternoon. Up to a foot of snow has fallen in southwest Virginia, and a half foot or more of snow has blanketed parts of Tennessee, upstate South Carolina, northeast Georgia, western Virginia, West Virginia and Arkansas.

Thundersnow was reported in the Nashville area Friday morning with snowfall rates of an inch per hour. Even heavier snowfall rates of 2 inches per hour were observed in Jackson, Kentucky, and Roanoke, Virginia, Friday morning.

Prayers for Winter Storm Jonas

Prayers for Winter Storm Jonas

"The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)

We offer each prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

1. Pray for NO POWER OUTAGES, whether we are impacted by either snow or ice or both . . .

Decree: It is written: "Nothing is too difficult for Thee!" (Jer. 32:17)

2. Pray, asking our Lord to grant His SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH to all who will be plowing the snow this weekend, and all EMT's and National Guard who will be on the job, too. Most of these men and women will be asked to work 12-16 hour shifts, providing service to our communities nonstop through the duration of this storm, and afterwards.

Decree: It is written: "I can do all things through Christ who strengths me." (Philippians 4:13)

3. Pray that ALL will find shelter from this storm.

Decree: It is written: "My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

4. Pray that there will be NO FATALITIES related to this storm.

Decree: It is written: "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (Matthew 21:22)

5. Pray for SUCCESS in battling this storm. Pray that all who are enlisted to deal with this storm will be able to function effectively, and that there will be excellent communication between all agencies (public and private) that are involved.

Decree: It is written: "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

6. Pray for the MEDIA. Pray that they will release solid information about the path and the impact of this storm, and that all communication be clear. Pray that each reporter will refrain from creating hysteria among the population.

Decree: It is written: "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14:14)

7. Pray for the HOMEOWNERS who will be impacted by this storm. Pray they use wisdom in caring for their property and, if they are unable to cope with this task, that they will be quick to ask for assistance from the many resources now being offered to them by city services.

Decree: It is written: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

8. Pray for the CHILDREN - that they will be happily occupied while they are "stuck inside their homes" during this blizzard. Ask for wisdom for the parents who are caring for each one. Ask for the SHALOM of God's presence to rest upon each household.

Decree: It is written: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)

9. Finally, pray for God's peace to rest upon all our people in this storm. Bind spirits of fear, anxiety, and claustrophobia; loose spirits of grace, mercy and strength. May many be drawn to open up the pages of that dusty Bible that has been lying on their bookshelves, and that its words would "jump off the pages" in the anointing!

Decree: It is written: "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)

Update from David's Tent

An Update from David's Tent:

David's Tent is Taking to the Hill . . .

Though Not Exactly by Choice!

Winter Storm Jonas is moving David's Tent indoors. Tomorrow at 2pm, the watch will transfer from the Washington Monument Grounds to a condo right behind the Supreme Court on Capitol Hill. The song will go on, but like Hurricane Sandy during David's Tent in 2012, we are being forced to move inside.

We hope by Monday to be moving back out to the tent, but stay tuned on details through Twitter and Facebook.

Starting at 2pm on Friday, the Song will be at 117 2nd street NE Washington DC, 20002.
This address has a rich history of prayer and is currently the home to Men for Nations prayer ministry and the American Center for Prayer and Revival (ACPR) that is being pioneered by Every Home for Christ. We are grateful to have this place to retreat to!

Many Blessings,

Jason Hershey

Honoring the Marchers

Snow v. Wade: Marchers Take the Town by Storm

While the rest of the capital braces for a whiteout, thousands of pro-lifers spilled into the D.C. streets convinced that the real state of emergency is our culture. While the federal government, local schools, and area businesses hurried home to beat the blizzard, a generation undeterred by ice or snow continued their pilgrimage to the Supreme Court -- determined to stir the conscience of America and end 43 years of government-sanctioned bloodshed.

In bundled-up babies to busloads of students, this year's March for Life was a powerful reminder that Americans will do whatever it takes to protest the ugly legacy of Roe. "We are very concerned for people's safety and want everyone to be cautious," said a March spokesman. "However, the pro-life community is also concerned for the safety and well-being of the innocent, unborn in the womb." And the U.S. Park Police wasn't going to stand in the way. "This is a First Amendment event," an official told the Washington Post, "and if people want to come and demonstrate, we want them to be able to come say what they have to say."

. . . Fifty-eight million children have been caught in the nets of "choice," an injustice that's only deepened under the avalanche of the president's radical abortion policy. Now, as the nation starts to pushback against those laws with a wave of their own, pro-lifers are starting to see a light at the end of this eight-year tunnel. Abortions have been on a steep decline (12 percent) in the last half-decade, thanks to the strong effort on the local level. With record wins for states' pro-life laws (288 in five years!), the sea of faces at today's March hopes to build on the progress with a commander-in-chief who makes the unborn a priority -- not a target. Based on the energy in today's crowd, we all look forward to a time when those grave errors are corrected -- and a culture where all human life is welcomed and protected. Obama and Roe v. Wade

58,586,256 Abortions Later--Obama Celebrates Roe v. Wade: It Affirmed Freedom

President Barack Obama issued a statement today, celebrating the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that declared abortion a constitutionally protected right.

"Today, we mark the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade, which affirmed a woman's freedom to make her own choices about her body and her health," said Obama.

In a report issued last week, the National Right to Life Committee estimated that there have been 58,586,256 abortions in the United States since Roe v. Wade. The NRLC's estimate is based on data published by the Guttmacher Institute and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here is President Obama's full statement on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade: (Go here)

- Holy God, our Father, we come before Your Throne of Grace this evening, in tears of repentance. We ask You to forgive this man, for he knows not what he does. We decree that the blood of the innocent is covered by Your Blood, and made clean by the work of the Cross. Hear our cries, O Lord, as we stand in the gap for our nation . . . in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous . ."

If it be sin that a government own a people
Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." Yes, the yoke of bondage is broken by what our Savior did on the cross. Sin and death were defeated. If it be sin that a man own another, let him be set free. Likewise, if it be sin that a government own a people, let the people be set free. As you read this, the national debt will increase by $4 million, bringing you, your family, and your children's family in further bondage to the government--a government, mind you, that is Constitutionally limited, that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator certain inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Many Christians say that it is of no consequence what the government does and that we should not concern ourselves with it. Many other Christians say that in order for Christ to return, we must rule the seven mounts of influence, government being one of them. Both are wrong. As Christians, we are called by Jesus in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:" This charge is repeated by Christ in Mark 16:15 and Acts 1:8. This means making disciples--not running from governments or taking them over.

If we as Christians were truly becoming and making disciples, the nature of the leaders we choose would be changed to know, understand, and embrace the precepts of God. They would, therefore, have the wisdom of the scriptures. Our nation, in particular, would not be facing a "fiscal cliff" that politicians are going to shove us over. We would have a nation of leaders who understood Biblical virtues of fiscal responsibility and accountability. The church has withdrawn from society and has largely embraced self indulgent, extra biblical doctrines that would be unrecognizable by the Church in Acts. Therefore, Christians are largely unrecognizable in our society and the ones who are, are hated by it.

Of all the talk by those people we elected about fiscal responsibility, there is virtually no talk about scaling down government to live within its means. There is only talk of raising taxes and government expansion. Americans are becoming vested slaves of the government. If we as Christians, who are commanded to stand fast in Christ's liberty, do not do so, we will suffer bondage like we have never seen. Our country was made for us to be a free people in Christ. We must rise up and demand accountability--not through organizations, as they just take your money and play the game. It is time to rise up!

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Must See: Heartwarming Video of Preemie Twins Holding Hands
Reveals Sibling Bond of Love

Glen and Anthea Jackson-Rushford's twin babies were born premature, on January 4th-11 weeks premature to be exact-weighing in at just over 2 lbs.

As the tiny brother and sister grow stronger, a widely-used technique for improving the health of preemies and to aid the bonding between them and their parents is being used, known as Kangaroo Care. Also appropriate since this family is Australian!

As the babies were placed on their Daddy's chest, Mom began filming, and the result is sweet evidence of that sibling bond-the two began holding each other's tiny hands.

According to an update, little Kristian Ian and Kristiana Micaela were still holding hands days later.

Such an adorable video is destine to go viral, and it did with over 10 million views. Watch it here.
