1. Paris Jews on highest alert after magazine attack -Times of Israel

Jewish institutions in the Paris region have upped their level of security to the maximum following the slaying of 12 people at the offices of a French satirical weekly.

The increase in security occurred hours after Wednesday's massacre of 12 people at the offices of the Charlie Hebdo weekly and it comprises an addition of uniformed and non-uniformed police officers outside Jewish institutions and in areas with large Jewish populations, according to Chlomik Zenouda of the National Bureau for Vigilance against anti-Semitism, or BNVCA.

In addition to the increase in police protection, volunteers from the Jewish community have been called upon to provide security inside the perimeters of synagogues and Jewish schools, Zenouda told JTA Thursday.

"We are past red alert at this stage, it's all hands on deck because, sadly, the question is not whether the French Jewish community will be targeted, but when," he said. "There are indications that this may happen in the near future." (Read more)

Israel on Wednesday denounced the deadly attack on a French satirical magazine, amid a wave of condemnations from world leaders and French Muslim organizations.

Earlier in the day three gunmen stormed the Paris offices of the Charlie Hebdo magazine, killing 12, including several prominent French satirical cartoonists, and injuring others.

"On behalf of the citizens of Israel, I offer condolences to the President of France, the bereaved families and the French people," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a press statement issued after the attack. (Read more)

Refresh his soul and renew his strength that he may continue to fight for Israel. We pray that the world will hear this message and stand with Israel to continue to fight against Islamic terrorists. In the name of Yeshuah, amen.

6. Border Guards, IDF Help Out Mugged Ukrainian Tourist - Israel National News

On patrol Wednesday afternoon along Road 443 as part of the preparations for the "big storm," Border Patrol officers noticed, through the snow-fogged windshields of their vehicle, a strange sight - with an individual bounding down the road without a jacket. It's rare for an individual to be walking on Road 443, a main artery that connects Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and it's even more rare - unheard of, in fact - to find such a person walking in the heavy snow that was falling Wednesday afternoon in the area. The officers stopped the individual to determine if he needed help - and discovered that he was a Ukranian Christian pilgrim who was visiting several Christian sites while on a visit to Israel. The tourist had been visiting such a site when he was "mugged" by an Arab, who absconded with all his money, as well as with his vehicle. (Read more)
- Father, we thank You for the IDF. We ask for Your protection over every member of Israel's Defense Forces. Guide each and every one of their steps, lead their eyes to see the things You want them to see, let them hear what You want them to hear, and guide their hands that everything they touch will be of Your Will and blessed by You. The stories of the good they do, especially for Arab people, often does not make it into the news. Bless them, Father, in the name of Yeshuah, amen.

Islam in France coming to America?

A law passed in 1872 prohibits the French Republic from taking a census of its citizens' race or beliefs. In 1922, the French government allowed the building of the Great Mosque of Paris. In the 1960s, France allowed the immigration of Muslim males for work-related purposes. In 1976, France passed a law allowing Muslim "immigrants" to settle in the country and bring their families from abroad. In 2002, the French Council of the Muslim Faith was established by the government, allowing extreme Islamists to anchor their power. By 2005, Islamists were rioting in the streets. The Islamic population in France is the largest in Europe, estimated by the CIA at 4.7 to 7.7 million, up to 10% of the population.

It should be no surprise that the new year starts with a terrorist act in France from the "religion of peace." This is what happens when Islam is accommodated and is allowed to grow in a Western nation. As in accordance with the Muslim Brotherhood plan for North America, France is finding first hand that Islam will destroy "your miserable house" from within. The Islamic model in France is the same colonization and settlement model that is currently being carried out in the United States. The lack of security on the borders and the support of Islam in the halls of government by the sympathetic Islamic Marxist in the White House has accelerated the Muslim Brotherhood plan in North America.

The cause and effect is not so subtle. America's leadership has quietly resettled Islamists through "political asylum" and "refugee" programs. Dearborn (Mi), Minneapolis (Mn), Houston (Tx), and many other cities are examples. Minneapolis Islamists were enough in majority to elect their very own congressman, Keith Ellison, a Sunni Muslim and disciple of Louis Farrakhan of the radical Nation of Islam. Over a decade of wars with Islamists produced hundreds of thousands of Islamic immigrants. The State Department has announced plans to resettle hundreds of thousands more in 2015. At the same time, the Islamic population in America is being recruited to fight against America by joining the Islamic State.

In practicality, the leadership in America has bowed far too often to Islam, saying that Islam is a religion of peace and that allah and YHVH are the same. This is spiritual adultery. The first commandment is: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. America, settled as predominantly a Christian nation has become a nation of many religions and beliefs. The consequences of such, especially when leaders are elected who allow the enemies of God and country to colonize, are similar to Jeremiah 51:14, "Surely, I will fill you with men, as with locusts: and they shall lift up a battle cry against you." Verse 51 says, "We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame has covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the Lord's house." Indeed, France, too, was once devoutly Christian.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Paris Under Siege

Paris Under Siege

by Gary Bauer

Posted on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2014

In the wake of this morning's terrorist attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, Paris looks like a city under siege. Soldiers armed with assault rifles are patrolling streets, subway stations, houses of worship and major tourist attractions like the Eiffel Tower. And with good reason: At the time of this writing, the gunmen still remain at large.

French authorities reportedly know who the attackers are. They are looking for three individuals between the ages of 34 and 18. Two are believed to be brothers who returned from Syria last year.

The jihadists who carried out this attack clearly had training and knew what they were doing. According to one report, "The attack took place during the publication's weekly editorial meeting, meaning all the journalists would have been present," and they moved with "military-style techniques." The attackers reportedly said they were from Al Qaeda. It has also been reported that they spoke perfect unaccented French.

France's socialist President Francois Hollande denounced the shootings as a "barbaric attack against France and against journalists." It is that and much more. These terrorists were there to fight, to wage jihad in the heart of France. As I noted yesterday, radical Islam is at war with the West. How will the West respond?

It's unlikely Hollande will take up the cause of preserving French culture as Nicolas Sarkozy did. In fact, Hollande likely owes his election to France's Muslim population. Various polls showed that French Muslims voted overwhelmingly -- as much as 93% -- for the left-wing Hollande.

Time and again we've seen this truly bizarre alliance between the radical left and radical Islam. Little unites them -- except their disdain for Judeo-Christian civilization.

A Message To The Media

A Message To The Media

We've written at length about how the left and our politically correct media often suffer crises of moral courage. When it comes to radical Islam, the left and its media allies frequently avoid saying who the enemy is and why it does what it does.

There is video of the gunmen saying, "We avenged the Prophet Muhammad! We killed Charlie Hebdo!" Yet Howard Dean refuses to call them Muslims.

Media commentator Howard Kurtz raises a real concern today, writing that the attack will undoubtedly do what it was partially intended to do -- even further intimidate the media from speaking the truth about radical Islam. That would be terrible if it actually happens.

My initial reaction was to hope that today's atrocity would wake up the media. But as Kurtz suggests it will likely subdue their journalistic impulses even more. In fact, it appears to be happening already.

In their coverage today, several media outlets have surrendered to the Islamists by blurring the very images that cost 10 French journalists their lives.

Meanwhile At The White House

Meanwhile At The White House

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest outlined for reporters what the U.S. must do to confront the growing Islamist threat. Earnest bemoaned that, "There are some individuals who are using a peaceful religion and grossly distorting it."

Then he gave the remedy, which was that the U.S. must "be clear about what the tenets of Islam actually are. And we are going to redouble those efforts. . ."

So as Islamists kill us, the Obama Administration feels it is essential for the United States to tell the world how peaceful Islam is. That should work.

By the way, if you need more evidence of the left's politically correct idiocy, check out this exchange on MSNBC comparing the Paris murders to the "extremism" of Jerry Falwell filing a lawsuit. (Gary Bauer)

VICTORY in North Dakota

North Dakota Supreme Court Upholds Pro-Life Legislation!!!!

The North Dakota Supreme Court declined to rehear arguments against their ruling that upheld a state law passed in 2011 that limits drug-induced abortions. HB 1297, offered by prime sponsor Bette Grande, was passed by the legislature, signed by the governor and then subsequently ruled unconstitutional by a district judge. The ND Supreme overturned the district court ruling and with this refusal to hear the case, the pro-life provisions of the measure will remain in effect--regulating drug-inducing abortions and providing greater safety for women.

This ruling was not only a victory for this particular needed provision but more generally responds to the pro-abortion activists bringing the lawsuit--by refuting their claim of a right to abortion in our ND Constitution. This is most definitely a victory for life, and should be celebrated!!

Over the years North Dakotans have elected leaders who have passed meaningful, common sense legislative regulating and limiting abortions--this ruling not only accurately interprets the constitution but reflects the will of the people.

The Courage of the French

In the Midst of Terror-NOT AFRAID

by Aimee Herd; Breaking Christian News

I was reminded of the Apostle Paul's encouragement to Timothy (and all Believers) that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind."

This week's terror attack in Paris was meant by the enemy to instill great fear. It's the M.O. of terrorists . . . and by their very definition, it's what they want.

But as I watched the various responses from around the world unfold on my computer screen, the one that struck me the most was the Wednesday night vigil in the Place de la Republique, Paris.

The entire square was filled with people; there to honor those slain in cold blood that day, and there to make a statement-a very important statement:

NOT AFRAID.
Those words were spelled out in lights and hung among the huge crowd.

News reports said the gathering there was very quiet considering the amount of people. However, the pens held high in the air-to signify a solidarity with those who value freedom of speech-and their signs that read, "Je Suis Charlie," (I Am Charlie)-again a statement of support for the magazine Charlie Hebdo; the target of the Jihadists-spoke loud and clear.

As did those words in lights: NOT AFRAID.

I was reminded of the Apostle Paul's encouragement to Timothy (and all Believers) that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Tim.1:7)

And ultimately I thought about what Jesus said that "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

Terrorism rightly makes us angry-it is a monstrous injustice. And the enemy would love to make each one of us paralyzingly fearful.

But the antidote to fear is God's perfect LOVE through Jesus. (See 1 John chapter 4)

As the enemy intensifies his attack, now is the time to be NOT AFRAID.

Remember what the Apostle Peter tells us in 1 Peter 5:6-10:

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you."

God is with us... be NOT AFRAID!

We agree!

The Site Where Jesus Stood Trial before Pontius Pilate is Found near Jerusalem's Tower of David Museum

"For those Christians who care about accuracy in regards to historical facts, this is very forceful." -Yisca Harani

(Israel)-Archaeologists believe they have uncovered the site of Jesus Christ's trial by King Herod before He was crucified in Jerusalem's Old City-the most famous trial in all of history.

According to the Washington Post, the discovery was made during an excavation that began 15 years ago beneath an abandoned building close to the Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem.

Amit Re'em, the Jerusalem district archaeologist who led the excavation, said that while the uncovered building had in past centuries been used as a prison by the Ottoman Empire, Christ was likely trialed there by the brutal ruler, Herod the Great, as found in the New Testament book of John.

"[This site] is a great part of the ancient puzzle of Jerusalem and shows the history of this city in a very unique and clear way," Re'em said.

The Independent reports that the remains are being opened to the public through tours organized by the Tower of David Museum, which hopes the site will become a standard attraction for Christians in the future.

"We will continue to develop the prison for visitors," said museum director Eilat Lieber, adding that the historical richness of the prison will give visitors a better understanding of the past.

"It's like a cake," she said. "Showing all the layers of Jerusalem."

Yisca Harani, an expert on Christianity and pilgrimage to the Holy Land, said, "For those Christians who care about accuracy in regards to historical facts, this is very forceful."
