The Daily Brief:

"Praying for All in Authority"

Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014

"Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations
And punishment on the peoples,
To bind their kings with chains
And their nobles with fetters of iron,
To execute on them the judgment written;
This is an honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the Lord!"
(Psalm 149:6-9)

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse . . ." (Rev. 19:1)

The Daily Brief

1. Huge spike in "terror chatter" as horrible anniversary of 9/11 approaches - Washington Times

The U.S. intelligence community has observed a "significant increase" in chatter among terrorist organizations as the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks nears.

"We've noticed a significant increase in chatter among Islamic terrorist organizations overseas both on the Internet and phone lines," a U.S. government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Blaze. (Read more)

2. White House Scrambles to Defend 'No Strategy' on IS Line - Israel National News

Washington rushed to defend President Barack Obama's comments Thursday night that the US has "no plan" to combat Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) in Syria, clarifying at a press conference that its options are "still under review." The key word missing is "yet." "The president hasn't yet laid out a specific plan for military action in Syria," said White House press secretary Josh Earnest. "And the reason for that is simply that the Pentagon is still developing that plan and he is still reviewing it." "The president was candid about the fact that the Pentagon is still reviewing options that may be available to him," he added. (Read more)

- Lord God in heaven, it is time for "yet" to become "now." In Jesus' name, amen.

- "Whatever He says to you, do it." (John 2:5)

- "For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth." (Isaiah 21:6 KJV)

4. Virginia Congressman introduces bill to ban Islamic State jihadis from returning to US - Washington Free Beacon

Americans who have travelled to foreign countries to train and fight with terror groups such as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS or ISIL) are not being barred from freely returning to America, where they post a substantial terror threat, according to a leading member of Congress.

U.S. intelligence agencies have been tracking Americans who travel abroad to join jihadist groups, but there is no law on the books restricting travel to countries posing a substantial terror threat, according to Rep. Frank Wolf (R., Va.). He is proposing a new law that would significantly restrict travel to Syria and other "nations of concern."

Wolf, who originally introduced the bill earlier this year, is leading a new push to pass legislation that would imprison for up to 20 years Americans who travel to these countries following the reported deaths of at least two Americans who had travelled to Syria to fight alongside ISIL. (Read more)

- Lord God, we ask for quick passage of this bill in both the House and the Senate when Congress returns next week. In Your Name, amen.

- "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22)

5. Feinstein Believes ISIS 'Will Try to Attack Our Embassy' in Baghdad - CNSNews.com

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D.-Calif.) the chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, said on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday that U.S. intelligence in Syria "has not been good" and that she now believes the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) terrorist group will "try to attack our embassy" in Baghdad.

"I think our intelligence in Syria has not been good for a number of reasons," Feinstein said at one point during the interview.

"I believe it is on its way to Baghdad, and I believe that they will try to attack our embassy from the West, which is a Sunni area, where I believe they are infiltrating now," she said of the ISIS terrorist group. (Read more)

- Lord God, we join our hearts and our voices today in crying out to You for the protection of all of our Embassy staff overseas, both in Baghdad and throughout the Middle East. As ISIS continues on its rampage across the nations, we ask Your divine protection over each American citizen now living in those lands. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Saudi Arabian media reported on Sunday that Jordan had handed secret intelligence over to the NATO with details about infiltrations of ISIS fighters into Jordanian territory through its borders with Syria and Iraq. The British ambassador to Jordan, Peter Millett, said the U.K. and NATO were prepared to assist Jordan in dealing with the dangers posed by ISIS. (Read more)

- Father God, we now add the nation of Jordan to our list of those that must defend itself against ISIS. Many in Jordan do not yet know You as Savior and Lord, but we know that You desire that "none would perish." We cry out tonight, too, for the innocent people of Jordan. May Your Hand rest firmly upon them. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

7. British PM Outlines Measures Seize Passports, Block Returning Jihadists - CNSNews.com

Weeks before President Obama hosts a special U.N. Security Council meeting on foreign fighters in Syria and Iraq, British Prime Minister David Cameron has announced new steps aimed at combating the threat they pose to countries of origin on their return from the region.

Proposed measures include the seizing of passports to prevent suspected extremists from leaving Britain in the first place, and powers to prevent those already fighting for jihadist groups like the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS/ISIL) from returning.

Foreign citizens will be kept out, dual nationals will be deprived of their citizenship to stop them returning, and naturalized Britons will risk having their citizenship revoked, he told the House of Commons on Monday. (Read more)

- Father God, we offer praise to You for the example now being set by the Prime Minister of England, as we attempt to deal with ISIS on our own shores. We ask that You release the same spirit of courage, boldness and fearlessness in the heart of Barack Hussein Obama and his advisers in this time of imminent danger. In Jesus' Name, amen.

North Korea gave foreign media access on Monday to three detained Americans who said they have been able to contact their families and - watched by officials as they spoke - called for Washington to send a high-ranking representative to negotiate for their freedom.

9. Expert: 'Imminent' ISIS threat to U.S. power grid - WND

ISIS terrorists pose an "imminent" threat to the U.S. electric grid with the capacity to coordinate a devastating assault on our nation's infrastructure, warned a leading homeland security and terrorism expert in a radio interview Sunday.

Outlining the threat, Dr. Peter Pry recalled a leaked U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission report divulged this past March that coordinated terrorist attacks on just nine of the nation's 55,000 electrical power substations could provoke coast-to-coast blackouts for up to 18 months. (Read more)

- Father God, by faith in the name of Jesus, we cover all of the power grids on the East Coast in the precious Blood of the Lamb. In Your name, amen.

- "And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death." (Rev. 12:11)

3. Abbas Once Again Threatens Israel with ICC Action - Israel National News

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday once again threatened to pursue Israel through the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague, Kol Yisrael radio reported.

Speaking at a meeting of his Fatah faction in Ramallah, Abbas reportedly said that unless Israel agrees to discuss a Palestinian state along the indefensible pre-1967 borders, he would work to have the PA hundreds of treaties and international bodies, including the ICC.

The PA has been trying to join international treaties, part of its unilateral push to gain statehood without negotiating with Israel, a direct violation of the Oslo Accords. (Read more)

4. Abbas blames Hamas for prolonged battle with Israel - The Times of Israel

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has accused Hamas of needlessly extending the fighting in the Gaza Strip over the past two months, causing a high death toll.

Abbas told Palestine TV in remarks broadcast Friday that 'it was possible for us to avoid all of that, 2,000 martyrs, 10,000 injured, 50,000 houses (damaged or destroyed).'

Israel and Hamas militants fought for 50 days before reaching a truce on Tuesday.

More than 2,100 Palestinians were killed, including hundreds of civilians, according to Hamas figures. Israel says 750-1,000 of the dead are Hamas and other gunmen. It also blames Hamas for all civilian fatalities, since Hamas set up its rocket-launchers, tunnel openings and other elements of its war machine in Gaza neighborhoods and uses Gazans as 'human shields.' 5. Security Services 'Foiled Massive Cyber-Attack on Israel' - Israel National News

The IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) prevented a major cyber-attack on Israel during Operation Protective Edge, military officials say.

According to the IDF's official blog, the unprecedented attack was carried out by anti-Israel hackers 'from all over the world', aided by the Iranian government. The coordinated attack was timed to coincide with Al Quds (Jerusalem) Day, the yearly anti-Israel event organised worldwide by the Iranian regime.

The IDF's cyber defense division was drafted in to mount a defense as hackers mounted a systematic attempt to take down Israeli websites. It was joined by the Shin Bet security services, which recently revealed it had set up an elite cyber-defense unit to defend against precisely such an eventuality.

The incident underscored how at the same time as Hamas and Islamic Jihad are improving their rocket and tunnel capabilities, Israeli cyberspace also faces a real threat from an increasingly innovative enemy. (Read more)

6. BREAKING - Israel claims nearly 1,000 acres of land near Bethlehem; US urges reversal of move - Israel Hayom

The Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories announced on Sunday that nearly 1,000 acres in the community of Gvaot in Judea would be declared state land. According to a statement issued by COGAT head Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, the move constituted a continuation of "instructions from the political echelon when Operation Brother's Keeper ended." The decision to declare the area state land came after the Civil Administration conducted a thorough check into the matter of the land's ownership. Before the Civil Administration began researching the ownership, a process that took a number of years, the land in question had not been declared the property of the state. However, the process was recently expedited after Israeli teens Naftali Frenkel, Eyal Yifrach, and Gil-ad Shaer were kidnapped and murdered by Hamas not far from the area in question. "This is an answer to terrorism," Economy and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett (Habayit Hayehudi) said during a visit to a yeshiva in Gush Etzion on Monday. "We will continue to build our land. The world has never loved this, but we will move ahead. Hamas murders and we build." (Read more)

Previous outbreaks had been limited to remote vil*lages, where containment was aided by geography. The thought of Ebola taking hold in a major city such as Freetown or Monrovia, Liberia's capital, is a virological nightmare. Last week, the World Health Organization warned that the number of cases could hit 20,000 in West Africa.

Imminent Attack on our Southern Border

Imminent Attack on our Southern Border

Father, we thank You that Cindy Jacobs and the Reformation Prayer Network is also broadcasting this alert that we posted on Friday. Lord, raise up Your army to take down this enemy at the gate, we ask in Jesus' Name, amen.

Dear USRPN,

Below is an article from WND (World Net Daily) regarding what could be an imminent attack on the United States. As our southern border remains open and insecure, it's been reported that terror groups such as ISIS have taken advantage of this and are mobilizing attacks from Mexico.

This is a very serious alert, and should warrant urgent prayer for the nation!

Please pray for our border and ports of entry to be secure, and for any attacks being planned to be exposed and brought down. Declare Psalm 91 over the nation, and ask for God's divine hand of protection to cover us. Additionally, please pray for the ISIS terror rampage in Iraq to end swiftly as possibly hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children have been slaughtered there.

Thank you for praying!

For the nation,

Mike and Cindy Jacobs

ALARMS SOUND OVER 'IMMINENT' ATTACKS ON U.S.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. government is warning a terrorist attack is imminent on the border between Texas and Mexico, according to the government watchdog group Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch said high-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border was issued. The organization said agents for the Departments of Defense, Justice and Homeland Security have been put on alert and told to aggressively work all sources and potential leads. The group said its sources say the Mideast terrorist army ISIS is now operating in the Mexican city of Juarez, the narcotics-trafficking center just across the border from El Paso, Texas. ISIS, the sources say, is planning to attack the U.S. with car bombs or improvised explosive devices carried by vehicles.

One source told Judicial Watch intelligence officials "picked up radio talk and chatter" pointing to an attack on the border.

The source said both ISIS and al-Qaida were planning plots and told Judicial Watch an attack "is coming very soon."

PRAYER REQUEST FROM CHPP:

Father God, as we plead Your precious Blood over our southern border today, we decree that Your Shed Blood will flow over all enemies who will come here, causing their plans to be thwarted and stopped in their tracks.

We call forth the new purpose You have planned for each member of al Qaeda and ISIS now, in Jesus' Name, and that as they see the wall of the Blood of the Lamb on our border, they will abandon their cause. We ask this and decree this in Jesus' Name, amen.

DECREES:

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Rev. 12:11)

Our God is the God of salvation; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death. (Psalm 68:20)

Break the arm of the wicked man; call the evildoer to account for his wickedness that would not otherwise be found out . . . so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror. (Psalm 10:15,18)

WND: Obama Switches Sides in War on Terror

Former CIA Official Says:

"Obama Switches Sides in War on Terror"

It's an explosive charge, one that puts the president's motives into question.

A former CIA agent bluntly told WND, America has switched sides in the war on terror under President Obama.

Clare Lopez was willing to say what a few members of Congress have confided to WND in private, but declined to say on-the-record.

She said the global war on terror had been an effort to "stay free of Shariah," or repressive Islamic law, until the Obama administration began siding with such jihadist groups as the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates.

Why the switch?

Lopez explained, when the so-called Arab Spring appeared in late 2010, "It was time to bring down the secular Muslim rulers who did not enforce Islamic law. And America helped."

And why would Obama want to do that?

As she told WND earlier this month, Lopez believed the Muslim Brotherhood has thoroughly infiltrated the Obama administration and other branches of the federal government. (Read more)

Indian Reservations and Islamization

Indian Reservations and Islamization

Indian Policy in the Americas has gone through several general phases:

1) Spanish Enslavement & French Evangelization
2) Treaties, Land Encroachment, & Wars
3) Indian Removal
4) Reservations
5) Assimilation
6) Islamization

. . . In recent years, Muslims have made inroads onto Indian Reservations.
In 2006, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan visited the Navajo Nation in Arizona. In 2012, U.S. Rep. Tom Cole R-Okla, introduced a bill to allow Muslims from Turkey special access to Indians, stating: "I was approached by the Turkish Coalition of America who have a deep interest in Turkey and American Indians... Turkey's continued interest in expanding business and cultural ties with the American Indian community...across the U.S."
John Berrey, chairman of the Quapaw Tribe (Oklahoma), claimed: "The Turkish and Native American peoples are beginning to come together under their own momentum to develop broader and deeper economic and cultural ties." Beginning in 2008, the Turkish Coalition of America has awarded scholarships for Native American students to study abroad in Turkey.
The Turkish Coalition of America spent millions flying Native American tribal leaders to Turkey, as reported on its 2010 IRS Form 990: "sponsorship of educational travel for congressional members and staff as well as Native American leaders."
The Indian Country Today Media Network reported: "The first Native American Business Cooperation Trip to Turkey, attracting 20 leaders from 17 Native American tribes...met with Turkish high officials, including Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu," as reported by the Associated Press.
. . . Turkey's advances into the Native American tribes are promoted by Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan and his Islamist Justice and Development party (AKP) who have been moving Turkey towards being an Islamic State. Erdogan is reportedly positioning himself to be considered as the caliph of the reemerging Islamic Caliphate.
Indian reservations along America's southern borders, such at the Tohono, are being overrun by illegals which include drug gangs infiltrated by Islamic groups, such as ISIS, Hamas, and Hezbollah.
The Arizona desert is littered with Islamic prayer rugs, Qur'ans, Spanish-Arabic dictionaries, Pakistani Urdu-English dictionaries, even an Iranian book celebrating suicide bombers.
Illegal OTM's (Other Than Mexicans) include Muslims from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Yemen, Qatar, Algeria, Somalia, Malaysia, Libya, Eritrea, Indonesia, Lebanon, and the Philippines.
Executive action is being considered to increase immigration. (Source: The American Minute)

The Stones Cry Out: Archaeology Bears Witness to the Gospels

. . . when archaeologists decided to dig where John [in his Gospel] said that the pool had been located, they found a five-sided pool... Apparently John didn't make up the pool after all.

A few years ago, people exploring caves outside Jerusalem came across the find of a lifetime: an ancient burial cave containing the remains of a crucified man.

This find is only one in a series of finds that overturns a century-old scholarly consensus. That consensus held that the Gospels are almost entirely proclamation and contain little, if any, real history.

The remains belonged to a man who had been executed in the first century AD, that is, from the time of Jesus. As Jeffrey Sheler writes in his book Is the Bible True? the skeleton confirms what the evangelists wrote about Jesus' death and burial in several important ways. Millions of Locusts 'Like the Plagues of Egypt' Swarm Madagascar's Capital

ANTANANARIVO, Madagascar - A swarm of locusts estimated at being in the millions invaded Madagascar's capital on Thursday, a sight that one missionary described as being reminiscent of the plagues of Egypt.

The skies were overtaken with the insects this week, slowing down traffic in the African nation. The invasion was captured on camera, showing the winged creatures covering the city like a cloud.

"It reminds us of the 10 plagues of Egypt," missionary Ronald Miller told ABC News.

. . . The Bible also references locusts in the book of Revelation surrounding the fifth trumpet of judgment unleashed upon the Earth.

"And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power," chapter nine states. "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."

"Going Home" by Libera

As we enter the fall season, it's time to visit our young friends, Libera, as we set our hearts upon our true destination.

Be blessed today as you meditate upon "going home," in loving memory of those who have gone ahead of us, by listening to this beautiful choir of young boys' voices. Amen.
