1. John Kerry tries to regroup after Israel suspends peace talks - Washington Examiner
A State Department spokeswoman acknowledged "some bumps in the road" but said the U.S. remains committed to peace talks led by Secretary of State John Kerry after Israelis pulled out of them indefinitely.
-Father, we thank You that Israel has withdrawn from "Peace Talks" with the Palestinians, who have welcomed the terrorist group, Hamas, into its government. Hamas has vowed to never accept Israel's right to her land, and has vowed to push them into the sea. We thank You for revealing the secret motives of the hearts of mankind. We ask that Secretary Kerry, and our administration will see that Israel has no peace partner, and will stop pressuring Israel to negotiate with those who wish to annihilate her. We praise You as the God of Israel, Who faithfully carries out Your Covenant with Your people and the land You gave them. In Your Name, amen.

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity, is proudly announcing that the U.S. military is again using their chaplains for active-duty service after a 15-year lull. (Read more)
- Abba, we are appalled that anyone with terror ties would be employed for active U.S. military service. This seems to either be very unwise, or very unamerican. Lord, we appeal to You, Lord of all the armies, to expose and silence those who would seek to mislead or endanger the lives of our military and our citizens. You are our Shield and our Defender, and we dwell under the protection of Your wings. Amen.

Religious freedom and the common good was among the topics discussed Wednesday during the annual three-day Q Conference which is built around the belief that "Christians are called to redeem entire cultures, not just individuals."
- Lord, we are aware of the erosion of our religious freedoms under this administration. We pray that we will stand for our rights, and will remain faithful to You, no matter what the cost. We ask You to take up our fight to worship You and follow You; and we pray for godly men and women to be elected this fall that will be true to You and Your purposes for this nation. 4. Senators: Obama threatening 'entire constitutional system' - World Net Daily
(Breitbart) On Thursday, 22 Republican senators, including even Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), denounced President Barack Obama in a scathing letter for threatening America's "entire constitutional system" with his immigration "enforcement review" that threatens to "nullify" the nation's immigration laws. "Your actions demonstrate an astonishing disregard for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the rights of American citizens and legal residents," the senators wrote in a letter to Obama. "Our entire constitutional system is threatened when the Executive Branch suspends the law at its whim and our nation's sovereignty is imperiled when the commander-in-chief refuses to defend the integrity of its borders." 5. 53% Think Neither Political Party Represents the American People - Rasmussen Reports
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 53% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is fair to say that neither party in Congress is the party of the American people.
- Lord, it is sad to see that most voters believe that neither political parties are really the party of the American people. It seems that power and corruption has taken center stage, and we weep for this nation. We pray for revival, Lord, for all our elected and appointed officials throughout our nation from the president all the way down through the states, and to we, the people. We cry out to You, Father, in repentance for our personal sins, and those of our government. We ask that the Gospel be presented clearly to all and that they would respond to You, as You woo them to Yourself. Reveal Yourself, we pray, and show us Your salvation. In Yeshua's dear Name, we pray, Amen.

6. Nevada rancher's racial remarks cost him range of support - Washington Times
Whatever good will Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy had built during his widely publicized standoff with the federal government evaporated Thursday after his comments that blacks might be "better off as slaves" went viral.
- Abba, we ask that You Who know the hearts of men, will bring the truth to light regarding Mr. Bundy's remarks, whether racist, or not. We know there are many who would like his comments to be misunderstood, and judged. We know You love the Truth, and, therefore, we ask for truth in this scenario. We pray You will bring clarity to this situation. If he did make comments, intending to be offensive, that You will show him his error, and that he would repent. If not, then we ask for his vindication. May all seek for a peaceful resolution we pray. Amen.

7. Muslims offended that 9/11 museum movie speaks of jihad - Washington Times
Muslims say that a documentary that's going to be shown at the National September 11 Memorial Museum called "The Rise of al Qaeda" is offensive and shouldn't be shown in its current form.
- Lord, we cannot change what happened and who the perpetrators were, even though it might be more "politically correct" to downplay or deny the facts. We ask that the facts not be misconstrued to "soft-pedal" the incident. May forgiveness on all sides flow freely. Amen.
- "Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunny and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ."

8. Cover Oregon officially calls it quits, state to use federal ObamaCare site - Fox News
Cover Oregon on Friday became the first casualty of the state-run ObamaCare exchanges, as officials formally gave up the fight to offer residents a state health care portal. Instead, Oregon, which has been hemorrhaging millions of dollars on a barely functioning website that has failed to sign up a single person, is turning to the federal government for an out.
Cover Oregon's full board approved the recommendations made Thursday by an advisory committee to fold its troubled portal and use the federal HealthCare.gov for private policies. (Read more)
- We reported on this development on yesterday's Brief, but lacked a clear understanding of the full meaning of this turn of events. As a result, our intercession was incorrect. Thank you for your forgiveness as we post this revised prayer.
- Lord God, we ask You to forgive the administration in the State of Oregon for steering its people back to the federal Affordable Care Health Act. This is a yoke of tyranny that must be broken. We ask You to please guide each citizen in this state to make health care decisions that will serve as a blessing, and not a curse. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, in Jesus' Name, amen.

9. BULLETIN! Forecasters Are Already Predicting a Massive Tornado Outbreak This Weekend - Yahoo News
Spring 2014 has been a quiet tornado season thus far, but that's about to change this weekend, if the predicted forecasts that meteorologists are looking at hold true. Weather experts say conditions are lining up for a series of powerful tornadoes to hit an area ranging between Tennessee and Texas from Saturday through Monday. The National Weather Service predicts a "significant multi-day severe event" in the South plains on Sunday, moving into the Mississippi Valley on Monday.
The extreme warnings stem from an interaction between an East-moving low-pressure system over the Rockies mixing with wetness from the Gulf of Mexico. That will cause the creation of supercell thunderstorms, Slate's Eric Holthaus explains, all kept in place in the South-Southwest by a high-pressure system in Canada. That makes the area ripe for a "big severe threat" this weekend, according to The Weather Channel, an extra level on top of today's "severe threat." (Read more)
- It is highly unusual for the National Weather Service to issue such a widespread alert, over almost 1/3 of the nation, and over a period of days. This allows God's intercessors and prayer warriors to "get ahead of the storm" and bring this system before our Lord, asking for divine intervention. Thank Him that He does move the winds wheresoever He desires, and that He is a God of mercy. We cry out tonight to out Abba Father God asking for mercy in time of need. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

10. BREAKING: Ukraine crisis: Pentagon says Russian jets violated airspace - BBC News
The US says Russian military aircraft have entered Ukrainian airspace several times in the past 24 hours, amid rising tension in the east of the country.
A Pentagon spokesman told the BBC late on Friday that the incidents had happened mainly near the border with Russia, but gave no further details.

BREAKING NEWS: News outlets are reporting that Russian jets today crossed into Ukrainian airspace. Also Washington is buzzing with reports that Vladimir Putin has broken off all talks with the White House and that Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel cannot get his phone calls to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu returned. Let's see what the weekend brings, but Obama's weakness may just push us into a war that nobody wants.
- Please pray in the spirit over all reports now coming out of Ukraine. This situation is such a flashpoint; only our Lord can move now to calm all frazzled nerves in this growing crisis. Pray!

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Thursday that a new agreement between rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah is "killing peace," even as U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry voiced hope that talks could be salvaged.

3. Israel can't accept the emerging US-Iran accord - Jerusalem Post
Ostensibly, official US policy on Iran's nuclear program is clear: The US will not allow Iran to produce a nuclear bomb. Moreover, US President Barack Obama has said that, for this purpose, "all options are on the table" -- implying a military option as well. In addition, according to many reports in American newspapers, Obama has ordered the development of diversified US military capabilities with which to attack Iranian nuclear facilities, far beyond what existed in the previous administration -- providing further evidence of the president's seriousness.

Illegals becoming citizens; vexing a stranger
There appears to be a parallel track of morality among Christians when it comes to illegal immigration. On one hand there are those who believe that these people have come to America for a better way of life and that they should be welcome. They often cite Exodus 22:21, "Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him." Others will welcome the immigrant if he comes legally, citing Numbers 9:14, "You shall have one ordinance (statute), both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land." While we seek to treat others as we would like to be treated, there is this matter of the law. If someone enters this country illegally, they are breaking the law. Their first act here is as a criminal, but it doesn't stop there.
The Washington Post reported in August 2013 that Justice Department statistics indicate the cost of incarceration in the US was $80 billion in 2010. The US population increased by about a third since 1980, but the federal prison population has grown by about 800 percent. Interesting that these statistics track with 2009 criminal illegal aliens in federal prisons increasing 7 percent since 2005 and a 35 percent increase in state and local jails since 2003. GAO estimates that illegal aliens had an average of 7 arrests, primarily for immigration and drug offenses, costing $1.6 billion a year from 2005 through 2009 (latest statistics available).
Thursday, House Speaker John Boehner, an Ohio Republican, mocked his fellow Republicans for not wanting to take up illegal immigration. In a speech before the Middletown Rotary Club in his district, he said, "I've had every brick and bat and arrow shot at me over this issue just because I wanted to deal with it. I didn't say it was going to be easy." It's not easy, Mr Boehner because you are going to side with the socialists to allow people to become citizens whose first act in coming to this country was to break the law. And the statistics are overwhelming that this people group continues to break the law with not only petty crimes, but with major crimes such as robbery, drug dealing and murder.
The question is why allow this? The politicians say American business needs the labor force. The total available labor force is 246.8 million. Only 155 million are participating. Over 91.8 million have given up on having a job. Some 10.2 million of the 155 million are unemployed. Total unemployment, therefore, is 43.7% or approximately 108 million people, roughly a third of the US population. We don't need more workers. We need jobs for the ones we have. The reason for not enforcing immigration laws and wanting to allow citizenship for illegal aliens is votes. Politicians like Boehner (closet socialist) and Harry Reid (communist) and the occupant of the Oval Office (Islamic Marxist) want to control you. The way they do that is by staying in office. By making law abiding citizens a minority, it's easier to do that. Forget vexing a stranger, they vex us.

Mississippi Governor Signs Historic Legislation
Limiting Abortion and Protecting Women
"This new law helps correct the shocking reality that as a result of Roe v. Wade, the United States is one of only four nations along with China, North Korea, and Canada that allows abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, for any reason whatsoever and sometimes with tax payer subsidies."
(Washington, DC)-Americans United for Life (AUL) President and CEO Dr. Charmaine Yoest commended Mississippi legislators and Governor Phil Bryant, who signed Mississippi HB 1400 into law, limiting abortions at 5 months of pregnancy when the procedure becomes extremely dangerous to the woman's life.
The law was substantially based on AUL model legislation, developed with a mother-child focus that addresses the health risks of abortion for women as well as the pain felt by the unborn child.
"We know that with each passing week of pregnancy, the health risks of abortion increase," said Dr. Yoest. "A woman seeking an abortion at 20 weeks is 35 times more likely to die from abortion than she was in the first trimester. At 21 weeks or more, she is 91 times more likely to die from abortion than she was in the first trimester. I commend the leadership in Mississippi who worked together to achieve commonsense limits on dangerous abortion procedures."
"And I particularly want to commend Representative Andy Gipson and Senator Joey Fillingane for their leadership, as the bill passed the House by 90 to 21, and the Senate by 41 to 10."
