1. US Banks Submit Plans For Breaking Up In A Crisis - Business Insider
Nine of the largest U.S. banks have submitted plans offering roadmaps for how the government could break up and sell off their assets if they are in danger of failing.
- Unfortunately, these bank measures give regulators power to seize and dismantle banks that threaten the broader financial system. What is the fine line between bank's autonomy and regulators need to keep banks from drastically affecting the health of our economy? Pray that those who would take down our economy will be kept in check. The problem lies with the regulators. Pray for honesty to the American public.
- " The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of Hosts." (Haggai 2:8)
2. Three Central Banks Take Action In Sign Of Alarm - Reuters
China, the euro zone, and Britain loosened monetary policy in the space of less than an hour on Thursday, signaling a growing level of alarm about the world economy, although suggestions of coordinated action were played down.
- Except for intercessors, none of the financial wizards are seeing that the weakened economies are a sign of sin running rampant. Pray that the Holy Spirit will move upon nations to repent for their sins. Plead especially for the USA to be financially strong because of its repentance and our need to "love our neighbors as ourselves." God doesn't need our judgments against other nations, but we need to pray for strong economies.
- "With all prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints." (Ephesians 6: 18 NASB)
3. Obamacare: Seven New Taxes on Citizens Earning Less than $250,000 - Breitbart
While we were all debating the cost to our liberty due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), we were ignoring the cost to our pockets. If there ever was a reason for bipartisan rage about this law, it should be on the twenty - yes, twenty - hidden new taxes of this law. Making matters even more relevant is that seven of these taxes are levied on all citizens regardless of income. Hence, Mr. Obama's promise not to raise taxes on anyone earning less than $250,000 is just another falsehood associated with this legislation.
- Surprise! These hidden taxes will affect everyone: Individual Mandate Tax, Medicine Cabinet Tax, Flexible Spending Tax, Medical Supplies Deduction Hurdle, Health Savings Account Withdrawal Tax Hike, Tax on Medical Devices, Surtax Investment on Investment Income. Pray against the imposing of all these taxes on the American pocketbook. Ask the Lord to reveal the purposes of these various taxes and where they will be used. The Lord is a God of Truth.
- "For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, The Lord is our King: He will save us." (Isaiah 33: 22)
4. U.S. Firearms Community Raises Concerns about International Arms Trade Treaty - raptureready.com
As of Tuesday, final deliberations have begun on the fate of the world's first global and legally binding treaty to regulate the international conventional arms trade, and it has some firearms enthusiasts and advocacy groups in the United States raising alarms. The United Nations (U.N.) has been working on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) since 2006, and after positive feedback from member states' governments, including that of the United States, the group is looking to pass the measure following a four-week diplomatic conference to discuss the matter in New York from July 2-27
- Pray that none of the American delegates to the UN vote for the Arms Trade Treaty and , if necessary, walk out of the conference. Our Constitution /Bill of Rights guarantees to every citizen the right to bear arms. Some countries may sign the treaty with no intention of following its rules. Will Iran give up its arms? Will Syria? Will China? Pray that Americans will stand up and declare to the world: 'We are not giving up our arms!" Bind that spirit of betrayal that is trying to gain power in these United States.
- "The righteous is delivered from trouble; and it comes to the wicked instead." (Proverbs 11:8)
5. Obama Told to Back Off U.N. Gun Treaty - WorldNetDaily
Over 100 members of Congress appear to share the concerns of a former Army general who has sounded the alarm over efforts by the Obama Administration to push through the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, or ATT. ...retired Lt. Gen. William Boykin earlier this year, in a video in which he claimed Obama was leading America down the path of a quiet, Marxist revolution, blasted the ATT, also known as the small arms treaty, saying it would regulate private gun ownership.
- Pray that Americans hear 'loud and clear' the words of General Boykin and the more than 100 Congressmen also opposed to the ratifying of this treaty. Praise the Lord for the opposition to the treaty.
- "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed." (Proverbs 13:20)
6. Lawmaker: Model Public Schools After Moslem Ones - WorldNetDaily
A U.S. lawmaker - who prides himself on being only the second Muslim elected to Congress - has declared that America "needs Muslims" and U.S. public schools should be modeled after Islamic madrassas, "where the foundation is the Quran." In a dramatic video dated May 26, U.S. Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., addressed an Islamic Circle of North America convention, saying the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks was hard on Muslims and that Americans should look to Muslim schools for guidance.
- During this week of prayer, fasting and repentance, ask our Lord to move upon the hearts of the two Islamic members of Congress, Representatives Keith Ellison (MN) and Andre Carson (IN), with His saving grace. Only God can bring salvation to a man; our job is to thank Him for doing so. Pray, too, for the protection of the minds of our children in all public schools, for they are daily being fed information that contradicts the Word of God, and the lifestyle of true Christianity. In Jesus' Name, amen.
- "It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." (Luke 17:2)

1. Polonium found on Arafat's clothing was planted - Jerusalem Post
The high levels of the radioactive poison polonium reportedly found on the belongings of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat indicate that the toxin was planted on them long after his death, a senior counterterrorism analyst told The Jerusalem Post Thursday.
2. US Presbyterian Church rejects Israel divestment - Jerusalem Post
The largest Presbyterian church in the US narrowly voted against divesting its portfolio from three companies that have been accused of selling Israel products and providing services used to oppress Palestinians in the West Bank, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on Thursday.
3. Israel is an easy target for us, says Iranian general - Israel Hayom
On the last day of a military drill in Iran on Wednesday that included the launching of dozens of short and medium-rage missiles, Gen. Ami Ali Hajizadeh of the Revolutionary Guards threatened to strike U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf as well as Israeli targets if Iran was attacked by the West.

With America's help end time Islamic Caliphate forms
End time watchers should be keeping their eyes on the political positioning of the northern tier African nations after the Arab Spring, which was bolstered by the White House. Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt are a large part of the nations that figure into the end time schemes of the Beast government that seeks to destroy Israel. Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan are others that prominently fit into the end time picture in one way or another. The United States over the past 90 years has played a role in positioning these countries into an Arab-Islamic association that anchors the end time scenario written about by the prophets Daniel, Ezekiel, Joel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, John, and others.
The White House partnership with the Muslim Brotherhood has deep implications in this alignment. The Muslim Brotherhood not only has a plan to destroy the United States from within, but also is founded on the principle of reuniting the Islamic Caliphate of the Ottoman Empire. This Caliphate was ended in a single day on March 3, 1923 after 623 years of rule. Unlike the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire ruled over the majority nations mentioned in the Bible as those who would come against Israel in the end times, including parts of Persia (Iran) and Saudi Arabia. US assistance of the Muslim Brotherhood has brought the modern concept of a reunited Ottoman Empire into view.
Two recent events are notable. The White House assisted al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood in overthrowing terrorist sponsoring dictator Muammar Gaddafi to establish religious and economic freedom through democracy. The powers in Libya are holding parliamentary elections and the main objective now is to constitutionally preserve Sharia law, meaning no religious freedom. Libya was conquered by the Ottoman Turks in 1551. The other event is the invitation of Egypt's newly elected president, a Muslim Brotherhood candidate, to attend a meeting in Iran. White Iran is Shiite and Egypt is Sunni, end time prophecy suggests that these two sects will work together against Israel and also turn on each other.
As stated in Daniel 12:4, understanding will increase in the end times: "...seal up the book until the time of the end. Many will rush here and there as knowledge increases." Not all the countries mentioned in the end times prophecies were ruled by the Roman Empire, but they were ruled by the Ottoman Empire. The US not only participated diplomatically in ending the Ottoman Empire, but also is participating in reforming it through "democracy." As we look at the global landscape today, the former Roman Empire is in a shambles. The former Ottoman Empire is on the rise. Another factor: the Catholic Church is leading an ecumenical movement to find common ground with Islam--with the US State Department's help.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Obama "Recovery" Flatlining

Obama "Recovery" Flatlining
The June jobs report continued the trend of disappointing economic headlines. The nation's unemployment rate remains unchanged at 8.2%. Job creation in June was slightly better than May's revised figures, but 80,000 new jobs was still well below expectations, and below what is needed to lower the unemployment rate and sustain a growing economy.
According to the Associated Press, job creation in the second quarter of 2012 is just one-third of what it was in the first quarter of the year and "is also trailing last year's pace through the first six months of 2012."
Here's something else to consider. Investor's Business Daily reports that while the economy created 80,000 new jobs last month, "85,000 workers left the workforce entirely to enroll in the Social Security Disability Insurance program." The article goes on to note that this isn't just a one month aberration:
"The disability ranks have outpaced job growth throughout President Obama's economic recovery. While the economy has created 2.6 million jobs since June 2009, fully 3.1 million workers signed up for disability benefits. In other words, the number of new disability enrollees has climbed 19% faster than the number of new jobs created during the sluggish recovery."
Clearly, the Obama "recovery" is flatlining. And his only solutions -- higher taxes and bigger government -- won't help. This is a critical point, friends.
The Bush tax cuts are scheduled to expire at the end of this year just as more ObamaCare taxes kick in. The combined "double whammy" is a massive $500 billion tax increase. Some call it "Taxmageddon," while others refer to it as the "fiscal cliff."
Whatever you want to call it, it adds up to a devastating blow to an already weak economy . . . (Gary Bauer)

Speaking Of Hate . . .
Did you enjoy your Fourth of July holiday? If so, comedian Chris Rock thinks you are a racist.
While most Americans were spending the day with friends and family, appreciating our freedoms and reflecting on our nation's history, Rock tweeted this message to America: "Happy white peoples independence day the slaves weren't free but I'm sure they enjoyed fireworks."
Chris Rock enjoys an incredibly blessed life because of this country. Today we have a black president and a black Attorney General, and a black man sits on the Supreme Court. And the best thing Rock could come up with on America's birthday is a racial insult?
(By the way, do you know how George W. Bush spent July 4th? He and Laura Bush volunteered at an orphanage in Zambia.)
Rock's tweet is representative of the left, which finds little to appreciate in America. It is increasingly defined by its hatred of America and our Judeo-Christian values. Rather than admiring the courage, sacrifice and wisdom of our Founding Fathers, the left is bent on fundamentally transforming America into a European-style socialist welfare state, something distinctly un-American.
November 6th may be our last chance to stop them. (Gary Bauer)

Capital Prayer Alert (Part One)
A Commentary by Carol Bauer
Thoughts During the Week of Independence Day
Do you ever get the feeling that the country is coming apart at the seams? Do you feel the tension and anxiety in the air? Do you sometimes think that too many people are hanging on by their fingertips as they see career opportunities diminish or retirement plans vanish? Know many high school or college students who have summer jobs with which to build a work history for future employment?
Though it is hard to really quantify or define, it seems like there is a general malaise and uncertainty across the land that is clearly evident in our personal lives but also extends to the body politic. At best it is unsettling. It may be worse than that.
In the public sphere there are rising tensions, accusations and harsh words. The Supreme Court decision on ObamaCare seems to be a focus of all that emotion. Sometimes when I listen to the news or read the paper, I find it hard to believe that so many in the public domain can be so out-of-touch with how other people feel. Or, worse yet, they may hear our concerns but completely dismiss them as if we are overly worried about the future we are handing our children and grandchildren. Or maybe they think we are just plain wacky if we don't see the world through their lens. The tapestry of the body politic seems frayed around the edges and close to being outright torn.
Do you worry, like me, wondering if a democratic society can thrive or overcome the domestic and international challenges ahead under such conditions? Whether it is a long-past Supreme Court decision, such as Roe v. Wade, or recent landmark decisions on immigration and ObamaCare, everywhere we look there are stark divisions in our society that are made more prominent by elites who seem terribly out-of-touch.
This week, as we celebrate the anniversary of the country's founding, please turn to our Heavenly Father and ask Him to begin a healing process in this country. Pray that the personal views of elected leaders and media elites would take a secondary role to the will of the people they have sworn to represent and serve. Ask God to impress on those in authority a new appreciation for our founding principles. Remove from those in authority any sense that they know better than the rest of us. And pray that representative government would be more true to its name.
Finally, ask God to instill in each of us a deep sense of optimism in the future, and pray that the optimism would be well-founded. Without some sense of common purpose and shared values, the road ahead will be very rocky.
- We say "amen," Carol, and thank you!

Capital Prayer Alert (Part Two)
A Commentary by Carol Bauer
Storm Warning: Election Coming!
If you have watched or listened to the news this week you have no doubt heard about the terrible storm that hit Washington, D.C., last Friday night and left not only metropolitan Washington but a wide swath of states and large population centers without power. In the wake of 80 mph winds, trees were downed and so were power lines. Emergency call centers were without power. Hours turned into days with no phone or Internet service, no electricity, gas shortages and empty grocery store shelves. Very frankly, the situation brought out both the best and the worst in people.
For some, it was every man for himself. For many, it was all about helping others. For a while, access to and from our street was cut off by a huge downed tree. The storm hit at night and the next morning we saw that the huge tree had been cut so as to allow passage by a single car. Though we continued to be without power, we were initially impressed that local authorities had already been on the scene. Boy, were we wrong.
We later learned that the tree had been cut by a small group of neighbors with small handsaws who were doing the neighborly thing. They still had access out of the neighborhood but they were looking out for those neighbors and friends who had no way to get past the tree.
What a reminder that individual citizens can see a need and have the drive to meet it. Had we waited for government entities we might still be stuck in our home! It looked like a teachable moment to us. Government can be so big as to be completely ineffective at a broad range of responsibilities it has sought to control. When that happens, individual drive is suppressed or punished.
I pray we will not reach that point. The recent Supreme Court decision on ObamaCare should give a shot of adrenalin to those of us who take pride in individual liberties. We must speak out with one voice in November!
- Ask our Heavenly Father to open your eyes to the vision that prompted the founding of these United States. Pray that you would desire to see the unique role the United States has played on the world stage in acknowledging religious liberty, human rights and innovation. Finally, ask God for opportunities to share this vision in non-confrontational, conversational settings with those in your sphere of influence. Pray that your passion for an appreciation of this country's past would not be diminished, and that you would look to the November elections as a watershed moment to define our future.
- As you talk with friends and family, ask God to give you the words that would impress upon them just how much is at stake in this election. Don't assume they are registered to vote. Ask if they are registered. Millions of Americans who think they are registered in fact are not. If they are not sure, refer them to this website: AreYouRegistered.org.
--- Special Prayer Request from CHPP:
As of tonight, there are still 7,100 homes without power, mostly in suburban area. The temperature here may be as high as 105 degrees tomorrow, with a heat index of 110 to 115 degrees!
[We know that we are not alone in our suffering, and that many of you out there are in similar straits tonight.]
Now, forecasters are saying that another storm of equal intensity is heading our way on Sunday. Please join us in praying over this next storm:
"Father God, we know that it is You who directs the wind and the waves, so we ask that You would intervene by Your mighty hand, and cause this next storm system to dissipate, causing harm to no one. We ask for Your mercy to please rest upon us, in the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, amen."
- "Even the winds and the waves obey him!" (Matthew 8:27)

Anti-Semitism Surging in France
Three Jews were attacked Saturday night in Southeast France by 10 men wielding a hammer and an iron bar. Two of the victims, both wearing yarmulkes, were hospitalized in what the French Interior Ministry is calling an act of anti-Semitism.
This latest attack comes on the heels of a report released June 1 by the French Jewish community's protection service, known as the SPCJ, which documented a surge in anti-Semitic attacks throughout France in March and April. The impetus is believed to be the March 19 shooting at a Jewish day school in Toulouse, in which Muslim radical Mohamed Merah claimed the lives of three children and a rabbi.
The report states that the Toulouse shooting "triggered an explosion" in anti-Semitic attacks in France, with more than 90 incidents occurring in the ten days immediately following the shooting. In total, the Interior Ministry logged 148 anti-Semitic attacks in March and April, with 43 classified as violent. In the same months last year, only 14 violent attacks were recorded against Jews.
The last violent incident documented in the interim report occurred April 30 in Marseille, when self-identified Palestinians accosted a Jewish man and his girlfriend while promising to "exterminate" the Jews. The man sustained internal bleeding from the attack.
The report also noted 105 incidents of intimidation and threats against Jews in March and April, compared with 54 in the corresponding months in 2011.
SPCJ said the escalation in anti-Semitic action in France is "deeply worrisome" and that it demonstrates that some of the perpetrators feel "empathy" towards the Toulouse shooter, Merah. [IPT News] Read more.

Breakthrough Prenatal Surgery Saved Girl's Life
Jean McCarthy (July 4, 2012)
"This is what happens when we allow ourselves to focus on the unborn baby as a patient and person-extraordinary, life-saving medical procedures." -Monica Rafie
(Washington, DC)-Expectant parents have less to fear from birth defects, thanks to a recent breakthrough in prenatal surgery.
A Miami girl, Lyna Gonzalez, underwent a never-before-done surgery that saved her life-she was just seventeen weeks in the womb. Today, the only sign of the operation is a slight scar on her lip.
The May 2010 procedure removed an oral teratoma, a tennis ball-sized benign tumor that had formed on Lyna's mouth.
When Lyna's condition was first diagnosed doctors were sure the baby would be stillborn or would need life support and numerous surgeries after birth. The mother's gynecologist suggested aborting the little girl.
"It's the most horrible feeling you could ever imagine; physically, emotionally, mentally," Tammy, the baby's mother told CBS.
But the parents' research led them to Dr. Ruben Quintero, a University of Miami/Jackson Memorial fetal surgeon. With a record number of breakthroughs in prenatal procedures, Quintero-along with Dr. Eftichia Kontopoulos-led an ultrasound-guided surgery, using an endoscope to remove the tumor.
Quintero invented some of the instruments used in the operation.
Lyna was born completely healthy, weighing 8 pounds, 1 ounce. Today she is an energetic twenty-month-old.
