The Daily Brief
1) Lara Logan of CBS News Was Attacked and Sexually Assaulted in Egypt - CBS News
Many of the scenes broadcast from Egpyt in recent days have been joyful, but events took a horrific turn for CBS News correspondent Lara Logan on Feb. 11, the day that former president Hosni Mubarak resigned. CBS News has issued a statement saying on that day, Logan was physically and sexually assaulted by members of the crowd when she was separated from her news crew. The photo here was taken moments before the attack began.
Logan "was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a '60 Minutes' story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration," according to the statement. "It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into a frenzy." "She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers," the statement continued. "She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering," according to CBS News.
- Pray, as this sampling of horrendous treatment plays out, that those in the "garden of grief" will recognize that this is where our Lord spent time first, before his ultimate sacrifice for us. Intercede that all will find themselves, across the way, meeting him at the cross of healing, victory, and triumph. Ask for mercy, deliverance, and healing for women, and men, caught in the Egyptian matrix, and especially for Lara and other Journalists today.
- "Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath." (Proverbs 29:8)

2. After Egypt, people power hits like a tsunami - CNN
Bolstered by the toppling of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt, popular uprising has now taken root in a part of the world where it has not been a part of the trajectory of change. On Tuesday, the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed, parts of the Muslim world were on fire, the people clamoring for change.
Fierce demonstrations erupted in Bahrain, where people have organized themselves through social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter, the same forums used by their Egyptian and Tunisian counterparts.
"This is a transformative event in Middle East politics," Miller said. Enough, perhaps, to change dark perceptions of a region mired in extremism and bloodshed.
Two powerful messages are echoing through the region, he said.
To al Qaeda, the protesters have said: Change does not have to occur through an adherence to radical ideology or violence.
And to autocrats and dictators: "You better start looking in the mirror and making changes or you're going to be looking in the rear view mirror," Miller said. Those "footsteps" you hear are "coming for you."
- Lord, we pray the Middle Eastern leaders would adopt policies that are in support of their citizens and not tyrannical. Our own First Amendment makes way for freedom of speech, or of the press so long as riots are not advocated by force and violence. We pray that positive changes come to these governments, which includes support of the U.S. and Israel.
- We pray that these rulers that are in authority in (Middle Eastern countries) be not a terror to good works, but to the evil; that these rulers be Your ministers and revengers to execute wrath upon them that do evil. (Romans 13:3)
3. FBI: 100 Percent Chance of WMD Attack - Newsmax
The probability that the U.S. will be hit with a weapons of mass destruction attack at some point is 100 percent, Dr. Vahid Majidi, the FBI's assistant director in charge of the FBI's Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate, tells Newsmax.Such an attack could be launched by foreign terrorists, lone wolves who are terrorists, or even by criminal elements, Majidi says. It would most likely employ chemical, biological, or radiological weapons rather than a nuclear device.
- Ask God to expose every aspect of such an attack and for those in intelligence to come even closer to God for knowledge and wisdom. Pray for the discerning tool between light and darkness to be used in this country and others to protect the people until the day of the Lord.
- The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD. (Proverbs 21:31)
4. GOP Presses Biggest-Ever Budget Cuts - Wall Street Journal
The Republican-controlled House on Tuesday took up legislation to make unprecedented cuts in federal spending this year, opening a freewheeling debate that will showcase the two parties' views on the size of government in an era of budget deficits.
- Father, give our leaders much wisdom in these budget cuts. We pray that democrats and republicans can agree on the necessary cuts, which would not put burdens on businesses and citizens.
- We ask that the Spirit of the Lord rest upon our leaders - the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might and strength, the spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. (Isaiah 11:2)
5. All children to be registered in national biometric records - WND
Identity-tracking scheme assembled under radar for 'border pass' program
Below the radar of public opinion, Mexico has started to assemble the type of biometric national identity database that could be used to document names for a North American Trusted Traveler border pass card, a plan already being developed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for Mexican citizens.
It apparently would be similar to the program that has become commonplace in the European Union to allow free transit for EU citizens to move, live and work wherever they choose within the EU, disregarding nation-of-origin and national border restrictions.
On Jan. 19, 2011, Mexico's President Felipe Calderon signed an executive order requiring within the next five years all Mexicans 17 years old and younger have a biometric national identity card that would include a facial photograph, all 10 fingerprints, and an iris scan.
- Intercede on behalf of and freedom as many have fallen into the trap of the N W O agenda. Pray that liberty will shine her light so strong as to blind the evil one until the Lord's work is accomplished. Ask for a continued "waking up" to repentance, to bring understanding to those duped by these measures . Decree that godly leaders will rise up and take their stand.
- For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. (Proverbs 28:2)
6. Food prices hit "dangerous levels": World Bank chief - Reuters
World Bank chief Robert Zoellick on Tuesday said global food prices have reached "dangerous levels," and warned that their impact could complicate fragile political and social conditions in the Middle East and Central Asia.
- Father, we ask Your protection over the global food prices. We plead the blood of Jesus over our economy, gas prices, and food prices. Guard us from the many challenges that are a result of these increases.
- Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. ( Matthew 6:34)

1. EU's Ashton targets Palestinian state by September - AFP
EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Tuesday said the international community still sought to achieve a peace deal and a Palestinian state by September, despite the region's political turmoil.
2. Egyptian officials promise to "honor international commitments" including Camp David - ICEJ News
Egypt's military took control of the country in a bloodless coup Friday evening, and Egypt's ambassador to the US, Sameh Shoukry, gave an interview with ABC's Christiane Amanpour on Sunday in which he gave his opinion that the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel will continue to be honored in the post Mubarak era.
3. Dutch Parliament affirms commitment to "democratic Jewish State" - ICEJ News
Earlier this month, the Dutch parliament issued a decision by a vote of 113 to 150 to refer to Israel as a "democratic Jewish state" and urging the EU not to recognize a unilaterally declared Palestinian state. "The unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state will not bring closer a lasting peace, and therefore the Dutch government asks to advance a European (EU) policy that rejects the unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state and means a European call to the Palestinian leaders to resume direct negotiations with Israel," the measure stated.
4. Hamas praises the Moslem Brotherhood - ICEJ News
On Sunday, senior Hamas official Mahmoud Zahar said that he believed that the Moslem Brotherhood was both more moderate and democratic than Western democracies. He continued by praising the Egyptian protests and said that the Moslem Brotherhood will seek progressive democratic gains in the Egyptian parliament.
The Daily Jot
Prophetic Times: White House using technology to bypass First Amendment
The First Amendment to the US Constitution reads: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." These words are often described as the central protection to a free republic. The combination of government policies, the advancement of technology, and the exploitation of technolgy is well on the way to undermining the guardian of truth and free expression as commanded by the First Amendment. An example is a curious attack on the First Amendment free speech clause from the White House.
The White House has exploited expertly the free speech indigenous to the internet. ABC News claims that the White House in doing so is limiting free speech. For example, ABC says the signing of the recent START treaty with Russia and the Post-State of the Union cabinet meeting were closed to the news media, instead posting them on the web. ABC says the White House, by utilizing its internet juggernaut to promote its views in a news format, bypassed the traditional filter of critical review and coverage by the news media. In essence, ABC says the White House is reporting its own political spin through its online assets while restricting the news media.
In this case, the policies of the White House are heading toward a state controlled media. White House spokesman Josh Earnest indicates this is definitely a White House strategy, but he couches it in words characterizing service to citizens: "We're striving to not just have a passive website where people can read about what's happening but create a method of interaction and feedback." This approach is in line with Bible prophecy. Daniel 12:4 says that in the end times, "many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall increase." 2 Timothy 3:7 says that men in the last days will be "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Knowledge, truth and freedom are inextricably tied together. Jesus said in John 8:31, 32, "If you continue in my word, then you are my disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." The Biblical principles of knowledge of God, His truth, and freedom are set forth in the First Amendment. But we know that in the end times, technology will advance so fast that truth will be hard to ascertain. Technology will be used to withhold the truth and cause deception. We must be ever vigilant to remain spiritually and physically free by discerning and demanding truth.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

New Middle East - Part One
The New Middle East at a Glance:
Country by Country (Part One)
Arab countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa are experiencing unrest. Israel National News brings you a brief review on what's happening with the Arabs - and the Jews - in the various states:
ALGERIA
Hundreds of protestors clashed with security forces in the capital city of Algiers over the past few days, demanding the ouster of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. About 100 have been arrested. Bouteflika has agreed to lift the nearly 20-year-old state of emergency with which the country has been ruled.
Algeria's Jewish population can be traced back about 2,600 years, to when the First Temple was destroyed. After Algeria achieved independence from France in 1962, most of the country's 130,000 Jews - who had long suffered from local anti-Semitism - emigrated to France. By the 1990's, most of the remaining Jews had emigrated. In 1994, the rebel Armed Islamic Group declared war on all non-Muslims in the country. The Algiers synagogue was abandoned that year and later became a mosque. Slightly more than 200 Jews remain today in Algeria, mostly in Algiers.
BAHRAIN
Thousands of people are marching in the streets today, demanding the regime's ousting. At least two protestors have been killed and three police officers hurt. The small island kingdom (population 1.25 million) has been ruled by the Al Khalifa royal family for nearly two centuries, since 1820.
After World War II, riots were focused against the middle-class Jewish community. By 1948, most of Bahrain Jewry abandoned its properties and evacuated to Bombay, India and later to Israel and the United Kingdom. As of 2008, 37 Jews remained in the country; the issue of compensation was never settled. In 2008, King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa called on the Jews who emigrated to return.
Note: The U.S. also has strategic interests in Bahrain.
EGYPT
Unrest continues despite the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak on Friday. Banks and the stock market remain closed, while the army attempts to take control until elections are able to be arranged.
In 1956, the Egyptian government issued a proclamation stating that "all Jews are Zionists and enemies of the state" and threatened them with expulsion. As a result, half of Egypt's 50,000 Jews left, and 1,000 were imprisoned. After the 1967 war, nearly all Egyptian Jewish men aged 17-60 were either thrown out of the country or incarcerated and tortured. Fewer than 100 Jews remain in Egypt today.
IRAN
Tens of thousands of anti-Ahmadinejad demonstrators marched in downtown Tehran on Monday. The Parliament Speaker blamed the United States and Israel for the protests. Opposition activists continue to call for more demonstrations, in which security forces have fired tear gas; dozens of people have been arrested, and two opposition leaders have been placed under house arrest.
"The parliament condemns the Zionist, American, anti-revolutionary and anti-national action of the misled seditionists," Speaker Ali Larijani said during a parliament session.
Jews in Iran, formerly known as Persia, date back 4,000 years. In 1948, the population numbered close to 150,000, and at the time of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the number was 80,000. From then on, Jewish emigration increased dramatically. Estimates of today's population range from 20,000 to 35,000. Iran's Jewish community, the largest among Moslem countries, is officially recognized as a religious minority group and as such is allocated one seat in the Iranian Parliament. Tehran has 11 functioning synagogues.
IRAQ
Though Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's regime does not appear to be in imminent danger, thousands of people have rallied in recent days and weeks across the country, protesting poverty, high unemployment, and shortages of food, electricity and water. Al-Maliki has announced a 50% cut in his $350,000 salary and that he would not run for a third term in 2014.
Iraqi Jewry dates back at least 2,600 years, and numbered around 120,000 in 1948. Nearly all the Jews left because of persecution following Israel's War of Independence, and today fewer than 100 Jews remain.
TUNISIA
The future of Tunisia is still in doubt, following the fleeing of longtime President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali as a result of the December unrest that sparked the protests across the Middle East. The EU's top foreign policy official, Catherine Ashton, met yesterday with various leaders in an attempt to shape a policy for governing the country.
In 1941, Tunisia was home to roughly 100,000 Jews, and a year later became the only Arab country to come under direct Nazi occupation during World War II. The Nazis forced Jews to wear the yellow Star of David, confiscated property, and sent some 5,700 Jews to forced labor camps, where 150 died in the camps or the bombings. In the 1950's, anti-Semitism and other forms of persecution led to the departure of tens of thousands of Jews; each person was allowed to leave with approximately $5 of their own money. As of now, 700 Jews live in the city of Tunis and 1,000 on the island of Djerba.
Amidst the Arab demands for the restitution of Arab refugees from the 1948 war, it is largely forgotten that around that time, more than 870,000 Jews lived in the various Arab countries. In many cases, they were persecuted politically and physically, and their property was confiscated; some 600,000 Jews found refuge in the State of Israel. Their material claims for their lost assets have never been seriously considered. (Source: Arutz News)

RED ALERT: ISRAEL
AN ALERT FROM RICK RIDINGS:
Iranian Warships Passing Through Suez Canal
Dear Friends,
Many of you will have watched the video prayer alert we sent out on Jan. 27th where I explained how important it was to pray protection over Israel concerning the Mediterranean coast. I mentioned that if Mubarak were no longer in power, Iran might try to send warships through the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean. That is exactly what is happening now, according to news reports such as the one pasted in below.
In the Jan 27th prayer alert, I shared a vision given on March 26, 2009 of sharks coming against the coast of Israel. If you would like to hear that vision, click here and start at about 5 minutes and 48 seconds into the video.
I will try to get out another video update soon on how we would encourage you to pray for the Middle East. However, I felt the need to mobilize prayer concerning the Iranian warship development. In the meantime, let us thank the Lord that the transition in Egypt happened without more bloodshed, and continue to pray that a Joseph be raised up there who is not stained from the corruption of the Mubarak government, yet understands the need to stand fast against radical Islamic agendas.
PLEASE PRAY: For great wisdom for the military and political leaders of Israel in how to deal with this provocation correctly. Pray that demonic schemes will be exposed and foiled. Pray that other nations would know how to respond. Proclaim over the Mediterranean coast that "Life and not Death shall come forth out of these waters." (see 2 Kings 2:19-22)
Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

Israel Warns It Might Act on Iranian Warships Passing Through Suez Canal
Published February 16, 2011 | FoxNews.com
Israel is monitoring two Iranian warships about to pass through the Suez Canal for Syria and warn they might act. The Israeli Navy will be tracking the two warships as they cross the Suez Canal for the Mediterranean Sea, according to defense officials. Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in a statement that it had alerted "friendly nations" about the warships, Reuters reports.
Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman says that "Israel cannot ignore these provocations," according to ynetnews.com. "Unfortunately, the international community is not ready to deal with Iran's repeated provocations," Lieberman said, according to the Jerusalem Post. Lieberman added that the warships were "a provocation that proves Iran's nerve and self-esteem is growing from day to day."
The Egyptian body that runs the Suez Canal denied the claim. Ahmed el-Manakhli, head of the canal operations room, said warships must get permission 48 hours before crossing, and "so far, we have not been notified."
Meanwhile, Iran has announced plans to deploy warships near Israel and dock at a Syrian port for a year, IsraelNationalNews.com reports.
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in an e-mailed statement that "Israel is closely following the movements of the Iranian ships and has updated friendly states on the issue. Israel will continue to follow the ships movements."
A senior Israeli official tells the site that "Israel will know how to deal with it."
Intelligence officials believe that the Iranian warships might be involved in supplying radical Islamic groups in Yemen with weapons, according to UPI.com.
In Washington, the Pentagon declined to comment. (Fox News) Read more
Rape of the West
CBS has confirmed that 60 Minutes correspondent Lara Logan was sexually assaulted over a protracted period of time by dozens of Egyptian men. The brutal attack took place during the raucous "celebrations" on Friday night Cairo's main square. The New York Post reports this morning that the mob of rapists was screaming "Jew," "Jew" as they repeatedly assaulted Mrs. Logan (who is not Jewish). Some reports indicate she is in serious condition and still in shock and unable to communicate.
It took over four days for CBS to confirm the attack, and they did so only after it was apparent other news outlets were prepared to break the story. Perhaps CBS was concerned about Mrs. Logan's privacy. But it is fair to ask whether this brutal attack took so long to be made public because it does not fit the media narrative about the Egyptian "revolution."

It was irresponsible for CBS to send an American woman into the anarchy in Cairo. As evil as the rapists were, their attack should not be a surprise. Everywhere radical Islamists are in control, "infidel" women are not safe. There are whole neighborhoods in Paris where a French woman can't walk down the street safely. Australian women who sunbathe on the beaches of their country are repeatedly harassed by young Moslem mobs who call them "whores" and "sluts." Rapes of Scandinavian women by Moslem immigrants are a growing problem in Europe. And, of course, in traditional Moslem societies, Muslim women are deprived the basic rights that American feminists take for granted.
Multiculturalism is "raping" the West. Our media and cultural elites are in denial about the values that dominate much of the Arab Islamic world. European and American textbooks exaggerate the mistakes and failures in the history of Judeo-Christian civilization and white-wash the pattern of conquest and persecution that marks the history of Islam. Lara Logan is one victim of our blindness, but sadly, she won't be the last. (Gary Bauer)
EMERGENCY NEED TO CALL!!
Support Congressman Mike Pence's bill, H.R. 217, the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act
Will defund Planned Parenthood
Dear Prayer Leaders and Friends,
I am hoping you will enlist your networks both to pray and take action on an important matter.
We just received a text message from a Congressman in the Northeast, saying that his office had received 100 calls from women requesting he vote against Rep. Mike Pence's (R-IN) bill, H.R. 217, the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, but no calls from our side! If this is happening in other states we could lose our historic opportunity.
Planned Parenthood has launched an emergency call-in campaign to prevent passage of Pence's bill, which will stop federal taxpayer funding of their obscene and barbaric $ billion sex and abortion business. After Lila Rose's undercover video exposes, Planned Parenthood is more vulnerable than at any time in memory.
Congress needs to hear from people of conscience who no longer want their tax dollars spent to support the nation's largest abortion provider.
Please pray that God will stir up pro-life Americans everywhere to call their Congressman!
Please call and urge your network to call their own Congressman. They can reach him or her via the U.S. Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121.
Thanks & God bless!

The Good News Corner: THE ONE-CENT SOLUTION
Solve the Debt Crisis!
Save America!
What is the One Cent Solution?
The One Cent Solution is simple: If the government cuts one cent out of every dollar of its total spending each year for five years, we can:
Balance the budget by 2018.
Reduce the debt by $2.6 trillion. That's $2,600,000,000,000.
Restore America's financial future.
The One Cent Solution envisions that while all areas of federal spending should be considered, some programs may be too critical to cut deeply. In that case, other programs must be reduced more so that the total amount cut is equal to one cent for every dollar each year for five years.
The One Cent Solution contains three key distinctive elements.
1. A Plan that Works
2. Proven Legislative Strategy
3. Public Support

- Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. ( Matthew 6:34)

Tomorrow: Part Two
RED ALERT: ISRAEL
