Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell, a perennial candidate with no government experience, soundly defeated veteran politician Mike Castle for the Republican Senate nomination in Delaware Tuesday -- posing a major upset to the political establishment on the last big day of primaries.

- Lord, thank you for this victory! We pray for more victories across the states, as we seek to turn our nation back to morality.

- Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; And let those who hate Him flee before Him. But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; (Psalm 68: 1, 3)

5. Christian voters losing faith in Obama - Politico

Obama has long sought to open a dialogue between his administration and evangelical religious leaders, and he has even found common ground on some issues with conservative groups like the Southern Baptist Convention and the National Association of Evangelicals.

- Lord, we obey your word in 1Timothy to pray for all who are in positions of authority. We are also reminded in Matthew 7, that we will know them by their fruits. We lift up this administration to you. Give them knowledge of Your way of judging, and give the Spirit of Your righteousness to them to control all their actions.

- " . . . so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)

A Post-Primary analysis from a Christian perspective

The aftermath of the Tuesday primaries across the country is being discussed and analyzed by all the pundits. Headlines say that TEA Party supported candidates scored big in New York and Delaware with New Hampshire still in the balance and added to victories in Utah, Nevada, Kentucky, Colorado and Alaska. Establishment Republicans--translated moderates and liberals--are beside themselves as they are seeing their grip on the party slip away to the unrefined, unsophisticated TEA Party neophytes. Democrats see their only hope in November of maintaining the socialist status quo being hoisted upon the dividing block between stubborn Republicans who will never support one another.

Bill Clinton said it best, as reported by Associated Press, that the Republican Party is pushing out pragmatic voices in favor of candidates that make former Honorable President George W. Bush "look like a liberal." This is a very astute observation by the former philanderer of state. By George W. Bush's record, he is a liberal--compassionate conservatism is liberalism in disguise with a very few conservative trimmings to keep conservatives in the big tent. But Clinton's remarks show just how far left the debate has shifted on contemporary politics in America--when a true conservative candidate cannot win an election without being chastised as a non-pragmatic radical.

TEA Party candidates are relying on the common sense and decency that is part of being called an American to propel them to victory in November. The TEA Party is about as close to anarchism this country has seen since the volatile 1960s. Only these are not radical communists, but rather peaceful Americans trying to take their country back. They are attacking the Republican Party because it is a party fractured by establishment liberals and grass roots conservatives. The Democratic Party is a party united in liberalism. To turn the country away from humanist socialist policies, the only political hope is found in pounding the stake of debate in the political ground far right and making others shift the debate toward it.

But there is another hope. That in this national debate of whether socialism is the new America, citizens might repent from from believing the lie that humanism can replace God. Jesus told us in Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters...Ye cannot serve God and mammon." The TEA Party wants to keep the debate on Constitutional and economic issues. All well and good. But let us not forget the wisdom of George Washington who said, "Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens."

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

URGENT SENATE NEWS!!!!

CRUCIAL SENATE VOTE ON "DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL" IS IMMINENT!

[Please note: this alert has come to us from Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman, Liberty Counsel. Please read and take action, as our Lord would direct . . . our prayer point follows this alert.]

Just one day back in session and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is already forcing an unpopular vote down America's throat! Reid and pro-homosexual activists have intensified the pressure to ram through the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT).

Reid just announced the key Senate cloture vote - possibly this week - and the floor vote next week. Of course, this is well in advance of the Pentagon's completion of the year-long review of the effects a repeal would have on our military forces. Apparently, the review was just a smokescreen to keep the pro-homosexual agenda moving!

The repeal of DADT and a provision ALLOWING ABORTIONS to be performed in military hospitals (so long as they are not paid for with federal money - for the time being, anyway) is now piggybacked on the 2011 Defense Authorization Bill.

If you recall, just before the 2010 Memorial Day Weekend, Nancy Pelosi's House of Representatives utilized a favorite tactic from their ObamaCare playbook: They passed this ill-advised, unwanted legislation without anyone fully realizing its potential negative consequences and then . . . they got out of town!

This is our BEST OPPORTUNITY to stop the repeal of DADT. If the bill passes the Senate (it has already passed the House), Obama has promised to sign it. There may be a brief skirmish during the Conference Committee meeting to reconcile the House and Senate versions of the bill, but NOW is the time to act!

We have set up our fax service to deliver your message directly to key members of the Senate. Please go here right now to schedule your faxes for immediate delivery to your two Senators, and other key Senate leaders:

. . . We are at a crossroads regarding our U.S. military's effectiveness in this time of war. To disrupt their mission with a major policy change on such a sensitive issue for political purposes would be absolutely wrong on many levels.

Plus, we cannot allow the Obama/Reid/Pelosi machine to use the military as just another tool for SOCIAL ENGINEERING! What the ultraliberal 111th Congress does this week could have profoundly negative ramifications for our entire culture. That's why we must take action. . . .
Our men and women in uniform are counting on us to take the time to support them - as they do every day for us. Thank you in advance for your support!

God bless you,

Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman
Liberty Counsel

- Lord, we ask for a mighty outpouring of protests regarding this Don't Ask, Don't Tell bill. We pray for a strong military that consists of order, discipline and high morale. We ask You to place many stumbling blocks around this bill, and as a result it will fail. Lord, stop those who devise wicked plans. In Jesus Name.

- "There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers." (Proverbs 6:16-19)

Tea Party Asserts Its Power

Tea Party Asserts Power in Primary Victories

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

In the last major day of primaries before the November elections, conservative voters on Tuesday displayed dissatisfaction with the Republican establishment by favoring "Tea Party" candidates in Delaware and New York.

Underdog candidate Christine O'Donnell, who won the support of the Tea Party Express and of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, handily defeated nine-time Rep. Mike Castle in the Delaware Senate primary. O'Donnell won 53 percent of the vote in the primary to defeat Castle, who had the support of Republican Party leadership.

Castle is one of the most liberal Republicans in the House of Representatives, but Republican leaders thought his positions-such as supporting abortion, "cap-and-trade" energy control, and other stances-gave him a good chance of winning in the liberal state of Delaware. O'Donnell is pro-life and advocates lowering taxes and reducing federal spending. Party leadership worries that she will have a difficult time winning the general election. (Intercessors for America)

The Results

The primary season came to a dramatic close last night as Tea Party-backed conservatives upset establishment candidates in major races in Delaware and New York.

In Delaware, the GOP establishment insisted that in order to win a majority in the Senate, Republicans had to support Mike Castle in spite of his liberal record on abortion, cap and trade and other issues. Delaware Republicans obviously disagreed. Last night they retired Mike Castle, ending his 44-year career in public service, and nominated conservative Christine O'Donnell for the United States Senate.

Inexplicably, Karl Rove attacked O'Donnell on Fox News last night once it was clear she would be the Republican nominee and wrote off the Delaware Senate contest. How can it be important to back the left-leaning Republican (Castle) in the primary, but not important to back the conservative Republican (O'Donnell) in the general election?

To make matters worse, staff at the National Republican Senatorial Committee last night childishly suggested that they would not lift a finger to help O'Donnell. The blowback must have been intense.

This morning, NRSC Chairman John Cornyn said that his committee would "strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine O'Donnell," and that it was sending the maximum contribution to her campaign.

In the New York primary for governor, the establishment favorite was Rick Lazio, a former congressman who ten years ago ran against Hillary Clinton for the U.S. Senate. While Lazio was not as liberal as Castle, he ran a lackluster campaign and reluctantly engaged on the Ground Zero mosque controversy. In contrast, his opponent, businessman Carl Paladino, seized on the issue with passion, and the voters responded.

Thankfully, the primaries are over. I say "thankfully" because many D.C. insiders were starting to lose perspective, growing fearful of the Tea Party and scornful of its candidates. This is a mistake. Millions of conservative activists are getting involved in politics, and the GOP should be applauding them! (Gary Bauer)

A Taxing Debate

Today's Wall Street Journal reports that all Senate Republicans are standing firm - so far - in seeking an extension of all the Bush tax cuts. They are joined by five Democrats, meaning that at least 46 senators want to prevent Obama, Pelosi and Reid from enacting major tax hikes on January 1, 2011.

There are nine senators up for re-election this year who have previously expressed support for letting the Bush tax cuts expire. They are: Bennet (D-CO), Boxer (D-CA), Feingold (D-WI), Gillibrand (D-NY), Lincoln (D-AR), Murray (D-WA), Reid (D-NV), Schumer (D-NY) and Wyden (D-OR). If these senators get their way, many small business owners will be sending more money to Washington next year, rather than creating new jobs.

If you live in one of these nine states, please call your senators today at 202-224-3121. Urge them to make job creation their number one priority by opposing tax increases on the entrepreneurs who create jobs. (Gary Bauer)

Democracy Under Attack:

Coalition Polls Candidates on Shariah Law vs Constitution

[To see this press release, go here.]

Choosing between democracy and Shariah Law is a choice between civilization and barbarism. Loss of Constitutional rights by any one group of Americans for any reason can never be allowed. This week, prior to Constitution Day, Friday, September 17, 2010, the Democracy Under Attack Coalition has polled Congress with the hope that they will take a stand for the Constitution and against the introduction of Shariah Law - which is in direct conflict with the Constitution.
If we permit this kind of special legal exception, then we step into the disaster of the current European situation in which there are enclaves of Islamic militancy where non-Muslims never dare tread.

Weeks ahead of mid-term elections on November 2nd, Democracy Under Attack Coalition has been blanketing Capitol Hill with a letter stating the dangers of Shariah Law in the United States and challenging our elected officials to openly oppose it. Their assessment of the dangers of Shariah Law and its incremental infiltration into our society should be a matter of major concern for voting Americans. It should receive special attention and awareness on Constitution Day.

The Coalition is making every effort to assess the possibility of holding congressional hearings leading to legislation opposing Shariah Law. The letter, addressed to 535 Senators and Congressmen, is accompanied by a list answering most frequently asked questions. Ultimately they would like for each candidate to produce a position paper to inform voters of their stand prior to the mid-term elections.

Two states, Tennessee and North Carolina, have already passed legislation outlawing Shariah law and the Oklahoma legislature will vote on a similar bill in November.

The DUA letter asks Congressmen and Senators these three questions:

1) "Will we compromise the Constitution to accommodate Shariah law or will we take action now to protect our Constitution?

2) Does Congress fully understand the incremental inroads Shariah law has made in our society?

3) And will Congress take steps to prohibit Shariah Law?"

"Time is of the essence. We are calling on legislators to make their positions known now. We feel that immediate action is necessary to preserve democracy and guarantee constitutional freedom for all Americans."

The Good News Corner

"In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and you shall not do any work ... For on that day he shall provide atonement for you to cleanse you from all your sins before the L-RD."(Leviticus 16:29-30)

Honoring Yom Kippur - The Day of Atonement
Saturday, September 18th

1:PM EDT, 10:AM PDT

916-233-2999 Access code:789992

SPONSORED BY THE GOVERNORS' PRAYER TEAM

Yom Kippur is probably the most important holiday of the Jewish year. Many Jews who do not observe any other Jewish custom will refrain from work, fast and/or attend synagogue services on this day. Yom Kippur occurs on the 10th day of Tishri. The holiday is instituted at Leviticus 23:26 et seq.

The name "Yom Kippur" means "Day of Atonement," and that pretty much explains what the holiday is. It is a day set aside to "afflict the soul," to atone for the sins of the past year. In Days of Awe, I mentioned the "books" in which G-d inscribes all of our names. On Yom Kippur, the judgment entered in these books is sealed. This day is, essentially, your last appeal, your last chance to change the judgment, to demonstrate your repentance and make amends.

As I noted in Days of Awe, Yom Kippur atones only for sins between man and G-d, not for sins against another person. To atone for sins against another person, you must first seek reconciliation with that person, righting the wrongs you committed against them if possible. That must all be done before Yom Kippur.

Yom Kippur will occur on the following days of the Gregorian calendar: Jewish Year 5771: sunset September 17, 2010 - nightfall September 18, 2010

On Yom Kippur - The Day of Atonement - we will corporately renounce the anti-semitic parts of the Constantine creed of 325AD and the resulting replacement theology,

When the vows were made to reject "everything Jewish" in the creed, there was a breach created between the church of Jesus Christ and God, Himself; as well as between Christians and Jews. We honor the work of reconciliation that has been done between Christians and our Jewish brothers and sisters. This is about repairing the breach created with God, which is what the day of atonement is about. God has revealed that as this breach is repaired on the day He called for it, we will be restoring an ancient path that needs to be restored to stop the anti-semitic leanings that are bearing fruit in the current administrations attempts to divide the land of Israel that God has not ordained to be divided.

As a leader in the body of Christ in America, we would ask you to take your important place in this national repentance on the Biblical Day of Atonement. We are doing it corporately on behalf of our nation. We are believing God to have every state represented. Please assist in getting the word out through your ministry.

God richly bless you and those you love and reward your faithfulness!
