"Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love." (I Corinthians 16:13,14)
The Daily Brief
1. Obama on 9/11 anniversary: Americans will never be at war with Islam - Ha'aretz
A day of mourning for nearly 3,000 Sept. 11 victims began with moments of silence and tears near ground zero, as observers braced for protests over a mosque planned blocks away on what is usually an anniversary free of politics.
- It seems that this president has not yet studied Scripture, because it is written that, in the latter days, nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom (Matthew 24:7,8). Islam is a "kingdom" on earth, serving the false god, allah.
On this ninth anniversary of 9/11, we pray that there would be clarity in the public discourse about the true nature and agenda of Islam: to force all others to "submit." If this cannot be accomplished by peaceful means then, according to the Koran, it shall be done by the sword. Islam never backs down, but continues to progress by a system called "dhimmitude" -- forcing all others to submit to its shariah law.
Pray there be a true awakening on the part of our citizens to the danger that lies at our door. PRAY!
- "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine on you." (Eph. 5:14)
2. Feds Begin Probe of Deadly Gas Explosion Near San Francisco - Fox News
Federal officials say working groups are being formed in an effort to find out why a gas line exploded in the San Francisco suburb of San Bruno.
- Pray that federal officials can find the cause of this disaster; and pray by faith over the thousands of miles of other gas lines in America, asking our Lord's protection over each one. May a disaster of this type never happen in our land again.
- " . . . if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)
3. Fla. Pastor Will 'Not Today, Not Ever' Burn Quran - CBN News
A Florida pastor says his church will "not today, not ever" burn a Quran, even if a mosque is built near ground zero.
- OFFER A GREAT CHORUS OF PRAISE FOR THIS TREMENDOUS ANSWER TO PRAYER. PRAISE GOD!
- "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." (Psalm 150:6)
4. States Go to Court Hoping to Strike Down Health Care Law - Fox News
Twenty states prepare to take on the White House in legal fight over whether the new health care law is constitutional, as the federal government seeks to have lawsuit nixed.
- Offer praise tonight that this legal action is being pursued by the states, and pray for those who will argue against the new health care plan in various courts of law, asking that each one be granted "wisdom from above" as he or she pursues this action.
- "Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey." (Is. 59:14,15 )
5. Doomsday Warnings of US Economic Apocalypse Gain Ground - AFP
Economists peddling dire warnings that the world's number one economy is on the brink of collapse, amid high rates of unemployment and a spiraling public deficit, are flourishing here.
a. Outlook Gloomy at Secret Billionaire Meeting - CNBC
For 25 years, legendary Wall Street strategist Byron Wien, now with The Blackstone Group, has held summer meetings with high net worth individuals to get their outlook on the global economy and investing. This year's group, totaling fifty individuals and including more than 10 billionaires, was decidedly pessimistic on the U.S. economy, investment opportunities and the Obama administration.
b. US Loses Ground in Competitiveness Report - ABC News
The U.S. has slipped down the ranks of competitive economies, falling behind Sweden and Singapore due to huge deficits and pessimism about government, a global economic group said Thursday.
c. Treasurys Tumble Following Weak 30-Year Sale - CNBC
This week's government debt sale ended on a sour note, with investors unfriendly toward a sale of long bonds.
- Clearly, the economy is an ongoing prayer need, and here are four examples of "why." We are not experts in the economy, but we are watchmen on the wall, who see the "doomsday warnings" in front of us. Ask our Lord to teach us how to pray; and thank Him that He will "make a way where there seemeth to be no way" for each of His children to survive in these harsh economic times. Repent for our sins of greed and idolatry, and pray.
- "And you saw their abominations and their idols which were among them - wood and stone and silver and gold: so that there may not be among you man or woman or family or tribe whom heart turns away today from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; and that there may not be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood." (Dt. 29: 17, 18)
6. Islamic Charity Co-founder Convicted on Tax Charge - NewsMax
A federal jury has convicted the co-founder of an Islamic charity chapter in Oregon on charges he helped smuggle $150,000 to Muslim fighters in Chechnya.
- Rejoice that hidden things have been revealed and pray that justice is served accordingly.
- "The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor, Let them be caught in the plots which the have devised." (Psalm 10:2)
7. NY Mosque Investor Declines Trump's Buyout Offer - ABC News
Donald Trump offered Thursday to buy out a major investor in the real estate partnership that controls the site near ground zero where a Muslim group wants to build a 13-story Islamic center and mosque.
- Everything related to this mosque is becoming more and more complicated over time, because Satan is the author of all confusion. Pray for clarity, for the real question at hand is: "Have you received Christ as Your Savior?" Then ask our God to intervene so that this mosque is never built.
- Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offerings You did not desire, But a body you have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings for sin. You had no pleasure. Then I said, "Behold I have come - In the volume of the book it is written of Me - To do your will, O God." (Heb. 10: 5 - 7)
8. Iran to Release Jailed American on $500G Bail - Fox News
After a power struggle within Iran's conservative leadership put her freedom in doubt, an American woman arrested more than a year ago along the Iraq border is on the verge of heading home. Her two companions, however, could be on their way to spy trials.
a Iran to release 1 of 3 jailed American hikers - AP One of the three American hikers jailed in Iran on spying allegations will be released on Saturday, at the end of the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan, Iranian culture ministry authorities said Thursday. The hikers' lawyer, Massoud Shaffie, said it is widely expected that Sarah Shourd, the only female among the three, will be released. The hikers have been held for more than a year.
- Scripture tells us to let our "yes" be "yes," and our "no" be "no." Given that foundation, it becomes very challenging to enter into diplomatic negotiations with an Islamic regime that is led by the principle that it is acceptable to lie to the "infidel" if it advances your cause. Cast down all lies and manipulations coming from Iran regarding these precious three hostages and pray that they will ALL be released, and quickly. Decree . . . decree . .. decree their release!!
- "Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to releasing to the multitude one prisoner whom they wished." (Matthew. 27:15)
9. Karzai to limit role of U.S. corruption investigators - Washington Post
Afghan President Hamid Karzai intends to impose rules restricting international involvement in anti-corruption investigations, a move that U.S. officials fear will hobble efforts to address the endemic graft that threatens support for his administration in Afghanistan and the United States. Karzai wants to circumscribe the role of American and other foreign law-enforcement specialists in two key anti-corruption organizations that have been set up in the Interior Ministry by preventing them from direct involvement in investigations.
"The management will be Afghan, and the decision-makers will be Afghan, and the investigators will be Afghans," Mohammed Umer Daudzai, Karzai's chief of staff, said in a telephone interview Wednesday.
- Again, the Lord is able to solve this problem. Apparently Karzai fears the loss of power if he yields to American investigation of corruption in his country. But how can we support war in his country if Karzai is allowing corruption to defeat the strategies of our military? And who is Karzai to turn down those who want to clean up his government? Does Karzai display arrogance? Pray that our Congress receives incredible strategies from the Lord to set Afghanistan aright as is possible at this time.
- "O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for Thou shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon the earth." (Psalm 67: 4)

- Pray for the soul of George Soros, for he clearly has no knowledge of our Savior; and pray that this scheme will come to nought.

When h He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it." The prophetic snare of Islam in America
Headlines over this solemn weekend of observing the 911 Islamic terrorist attacks on innocent Americans were filled with Islamists protesting the world over because of a threat by a Florida pastor to burn Korans. Indeed, tempers raged as news traveled of Christians ripping pages from the Koran in front of the White House and protests continued of the proposed mosque at Ground Zero. But no better celebration in the Islamic world could be given as Obama commemorated the Saudi-born attack on America nine years ago by announcing the largest US arms deal in history, $60 billion, to Saudi Arabia.
Ever since the 911 attacks, then President George W. Bush mounted a massive public relations campaign to assure Americans that Islam was a peaceful religion and that there are more ways to heaven than just one. Tolerance has been preached to the detriment of sound reason. A 1991 Muslim Brotherhood plan to create a "Civilization Jihad" in the United States was uncovered in the Holy Land terrorist funding trial in Texas. This plan states that Islam is to colonize America through a comprehensive media plan and the establishment of Islamic Centers and mosques in every city. These centers are for, among other things, establishing "battalion", "domestic political resolution" (Sharia Law), and media operations.
Today's [occupier of the White House] was born a Muslim and claims to have converted to Christianity. Yet Islam has received great favor in policy, political appointments, and in taxpayer funding of Islamic projects. The burning of Korans, the ripping pages out of Korans, the protests about the mosque at Ground Zero are all indicators that Americans are getting fed up with the constant attempt by the White House and the news media to force acceptance of this enemy of America disguised as a religion. Everyone with any sense knows that the Ground Zero mosque is a victory symbol to claim Islam's dominance over America. It is Islam's historic act in conquests repeated over hundreds of years.
America is a distinctly Christian nation, founded on Judeo-Christian values and laws. If you don't believe me, read the Bible and compare the Laws of God with the laws of our nation. There is only one God and his name is not allah. In fact, as Christians we are not to tolerate false religions. Romans says that we are "grafted in" as God's people. In Exodus 23:32, God instructs his people about the tribes with false gods: "Thou shalt make no covenant with them or with their gods. They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee." There should be no mosque at ground zero, nor in America. Otherwise there is a snare unto us.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
