Russia, in what appears to be a strongman move in retaliation for the United States placing sanctions on Russia’s largest arms exporter, has told Iran it will deliver by March nuclear fuel that could double for the manufacture of nuclear weapons. According to the security report DEBKAfile, Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to go ahead with completing the Iranian nuclear plant by September and deliver the fuel by March—both of which had been hanging in the balance until the U.S. sanctions. The sanctions seemed to be linked to the sale of sophisticated Russian anti-missile systems to Iran.
The announcement by Russian Security Chief Igor Ivanov made in Tehran comes in the wake of yet another provocation of Russia and Iran toward the United States. DEBKAfile reports that Tehran put the new Russian Tor-M1 systems through their paces for the first time in a missile exercise that took place in central Iran last week. Iranian-made missiles were used to simulate American or Israeli missiles coming in for attacks on nuclear sites and Revolutionary Guard bases. Present at the exercise were missile experts of the sanctioned Russian arms dealer Rosoboronexport, there to advise Iran on how to integrate the new Tor-M1 systems into its air defenses.
This, combined with news that North Korea has agreed to share its nuclear weapons technology and engineering know-how with Iran in an effort to complete an underground nuclear test within the year, spells trouble for the United States and Israel. Analysts believe that a nuclear Iran could change the entire balance of power in the Middle East. Already, Iran is waging a clandestine war against the U.S. in Iraq. Iran has made its rounds to the Western Hemisphere as its President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited Central and South American countries in early January, announcing a new multi-billion dollar fund to assist these nations in counterbalancing the economic and military power of the U.S. in the region.
Iran is the spear point of the new Russian revolution. Not motivated by zealous religious causes, Russia is intent on strategically positioning other willing nations to do its dirty work in an effort to regain an even stronger grip on the world economic and political power grid than that of the former Soviet Union. Iran is an all too willing accomplice, wanting to spread the “Peace of Islam” to the world and motivated by its desire to destroy Israel and the United States. These are the ingredients of the end time battle of Russia and Iran against Israel as prophesied in Ezekiel 39:9 that of the weapons “they shall burn them with fire seven years.” It is time for all to make right their relationship with their Creator.
