Focus on Israel

1. Top Syrian Official Threatens Israel With Retaliation for Air Strikes - Algemeiner

Following a series of air strikes on Syrian targets, which have been attributed to Israel, the Assad regime' deputy foreign minister has threatened the Jewish state with retaliation.

According to Hebrew daily Yediot Ahronot, Faisal Mekdad warned Israel on Tuesday, "Don't be relaxed. Syria will change its method of retaliation in the future." The air strikes carried out early Monday targeted sites in the Damascus and Homs areas. Official Syrian media outlets claimed 15 people were killed, including a woman and three children.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, however, reported that among the dead were members of a pro-Assad militia. It is also believed that Iranian and Hezbollah fighters were killed.

What appeared to be a Syrian anti-aircraft missile fired at the attacking planes came down in Cyprus. No one was injured.

2. Dozens of police hurt, 60 arrested as Ethiopian Israeli protests turn violent - Times Of Israel

Police said some 47 officers were injured on Tuesday in nationwide protests by Israel's Ethiopian community, as a show of anger over the fatal shooting of an unarmed teenager by an off-duty cop earlier this week took an increasingly violent turn.

The Israel Police said 60 demonstrators were arrested across the country over the disturbances. It did not offer a tally on protester injuries. One demonstrator was moderately injured in a hit-and-run on Tuesday evening, medics said.

The rallies devolved into riots in some areas, leaving dozens hurt and at least four cars damaged, as some 50,000 commuters remained stuck in traffic for hours in the turmoil gripping the country. In Tel Aviv, a car was set on fire.

3. Iran: Israel will be destroyed in 30 minutes if we are attacked - Israel Hayom

Israel will be destroyed in half an hour if the United States attacks Iran, a senior Iranian parliamentarian said on Monday, according to the semiofficial Mehr news agency. Weeks of tensions culminated last month when US President Donald Trump's last-minute decision to call off planned strikes on Iran after Tehran downed a US drone. Washington also accused Iran of being behind the attacks on ships in the Gulf, which Tehran denies. "If the US attacks us, only half an hour will remain of Israel's lifespan," Mojtaba Zolnour, the chairman of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said on Monday, according to Mehr.

4. Barak promises: 'We won't sit with Netanyahu; we'll end Israbluff draft' - Israel National News

Former Prime Minister Ehud Barak convened a press conference this afternoon as part of his new party campaign. "I'd like to send my heartfelt condolences, on behalf of my friends and family, to Solomon's family for the painful loss of his son Solomon Takka," he said.

"The Israelis of Ethiopian origin have often experienced discrimination and over-enforcement, and a speedy, fearless, and impartial investigation is required here. I won't go into the details of the incident itself, but Solomon's death was difficult, outrageous, and unnecessary. As a society, we must do everything so that such difficult and heartrending cases don't repeat themselves.

"True, Israeli society as a whole must uproot any manifestation of racism or labeling by race, gender, or color," Barak stressed. "My position is that the relationship between Judaism and Israel's heritage to the State of Israel is deep and complex - these are our roots, the reason we came here, and the source of the human connection between us all," Barak said.

"But I stand for an open, respectful, tolerant, and enlightened society, in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence and the vision of the Prophets. We're against the invasion of the individual's private space. We're against dictating what is permitted and what's forbidden to do on Shabbat. We're against pushing women back. Against preventing their singing. Against separation in the public sphere. We're against separatism and condescension of any kind," Barak said.

5. Netanyahu, Rivlin Mark America's 243rd Independence Day in Jerusalem at Event Hosted by US Ambassador Friedman - Jewish Press

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his wife Sara, and President Reuven Rivlin joined hundreds of other guests Tuesday night at an event held at the Jerusalem International Convention Center, hosted by U.S. Ambassador David Friedman and his wife Tammy marking America's 243rd Independence Day.

As he arrived at the event, held for the first time in Jerusalem, the president raised a glass with the ambassador and his aides in honor of the United States, President Trump and the American people. The president and the ambassador discussed the importance of the relations between the two countries and the deep friendship between the peoples, based on broad bi-partisan support and shared values.

The prime minister pointed out during remarks he delivered at the event that it is a pleasure to have the "greatest power on earth" standing on the same side as Israel, rather than opposing our ideals.

6. Breaking! Trump Doubles Down: Flight of F-22 Raptors Now Positioned Over Persian Gulf - Western Journal

This gives the mullahs something to think about.

As tensions continue to rise between the United States and the "Death to America" rulers of Tehran, the Trump administration has positioned some of the U.S. military's most advanced fighter planes in the region.

And Iran should be getting the message.

The Daily Brief

1. Pence Recalled To White House As Putin Pulls Out Of Scheduled Event; Officials Say "No Cause For Alarm" - ZeroHedge

Roughly six hours have passed since the first reports emerged that Vice President Mike Pence was forced to cancel an event in New Hampshire on Tuesday to attend to an unspecified emergency "situation" in Washington. At first, officials said Pence had landed in New Hampshire, then that Air Force 2 was forced to turn around mid-flight. Then, it finally emerged that he had never actually left Washington. Naked speculation about the circumstances surrounding the cancellation has flourished in the absence of any kind of explanation from the White House. Was it a presidential health-related emergency? Did Iran carry out an underground nuclear test? Whatever the reason, it could be [weeks] before the public receives an explanation, according to Marc Short, Pence's chief of staff. (Read more)

- Father God, these events are another reminder to fervently pray for the health and safety of President Trump, Vice-President Pence, cabinet members and all our elected leaders. We lift them up and pray Your Spirit will cover and protect them each and every day.

- Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:16)

2. Vladimir Putin calls urgent meeting with defense chiefs after 14 Russian sailors die in submarine fire - The Sun

The Russian leader cancelled his schedule for a meeting with his defense minister Sergei Shoigu. It came as US Vice President Mike Pence was called back to Washington for an "undisclosed emergency". The announcements came at exactly the same time but it is not clear if the two are linked. The White House and the Kremlin would not say the reason for the change of plans. The news comes hours after the fire on board a Russian submarine left 14 dead after they were poisoned by fumes. An investigation is underway into the incident on board the vessel, which was based out of the Northern Fleet main port of Severomorsk in Murmansk. Mr Putin added: "I offer my sincerest condolences to the families of those killed. Everything possible must be done to help and support them." The deep-sea research vessel was carrying out a military survey in Russian territorial waters. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask You to assist the Russian government in their investigation of this tragedy and help them determine exactly what happened. We also pray for the injured and families of the dead, that Your comfort will be close to them.

- Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

3. Trump's July 4th 'Salute to America' Will Feature 'Supercharged' Fireworks Show, Tanks, Flyovers - Breitbart

President Trump is helping plan what will be the nation's biggest Fourth of July celebration in years, if not ever. There will be a new event at the Lincoln Memorial that is specifically dedicated to honoring the United States armed forces called "Salute to America." The one-hour "Salute to America" program from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. ET will feature an address by Trump, military aircraft flyovers, and performances by each branch of the military. Trump will be the first president to celebrate July Fourth from the Lincoln Memorial, Block said. Previous presidents have addressed the nation from the Jefferson Memorial and Constitution Hall, but not the Lincoln, she said. The fireworks show, however, will be "supercharged" this year, according to Block. It will run 35 minutes - twice as long as the normal annual show. It will begin at 9:07 p.m. ET and feature two shows - one by the normal contractor and another one by two private firework firms, who are donating more than $750,000 worth of fireworks and equipment. The two firms are Phantom Fireworks and Grucci Fireworks. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray our citizens will renew their love for our country this Independence Day.

- It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. (Galatians 5:1)

4. House Democrats File Lawsuit in Attempt to Get Trump's Tax Returns - Epoch Times

A House of Representatives committee under Democrat control has filed a lawsuit in a fresh attempt to gain access to President Donald Trump's tax returns. The House Ways and Means Committee filed the lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Treasury, secretary of the department Steven Mnuchin, the Internal Revenue Service, and commissioner of the service Charles Rettig in the U.S. District Court in Washington on July 2.

The committee said that it filed the suit "to seek relief" from Mnuchin's and Rettig's "refusal to produce tax return information concerning President Donald J. Trump in response to the committee's valid oversight requests."

"The Committee is investigating the IRS's administration of various tax laws and policies relating to Presidential tax returns and tax law compliance by President Trump, including whether the IRS's self-imposed policy of annually auditing the returns of sitting presidents is working properly, even though it has not been updated in decades," the suit states. (Read more)

- Father, we pray President Trump's privacy will be protected through justice.

- For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. (Psalm 11:7)

5. Trump Signs Law Making It Harder for IRS to Seize Money From Americans - Daily Signal

President Donald Trump signed a bipartisan bill Monday to force greater accountability on the IRS in the property seizures, as well as protect taxpayers from identity theft, boost whistleblower protections, and modernize the tax agency.

Legal source structuring laws kick in when large financial transactions are broken up into smaller transactions, which sparks suspicion from the IRS. If dividing up transactions is done with the intent to evade bank reporting requirements, it's illegal, and the IRS can seize assets. The new law, the Taxpayer First Act, requires the IRS to show probable cause that transactions were made in order to evade financial reporting requirements.

A 2017 audit by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration found no evidence of underlying crimes in 91% of the structuring cases examined in a sampling. The inspector general's report further noted that the IRS frequently ignored reasonable explanations business owners have for deposits. The IRS used the power in 2,500 cases between 2005 and 2012, gobbling up $242 million in assets, according to the Institute for Justice, a public interest legal group. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for this bipartisan correction to our tax code and pray all who were wrongly targeted will receive full restitution.

- They must return what they have stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to them, or the lost property they found, or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution in full. (Leviticus 6:4-5a)

6. Dems Enlist Anti-Trump Pastor To Recruit Evangelicals - Daily Wire

Democrats are recruiting figureheads among the religious Left in the hope that they may persuade Christians away from Trump's corner in the 2020 election. "Political pundits said Democrats have a God problem and their latest move shows they are taking steps to solve it," reports Fox News. "The Democratic National Committee recruited a far-left religious outreach director and is launching a round of listening sessions with faith leaders leading up to the 2020 election.

The DNC hired former Washington, D.C. anti-Trump pastor, Rev. Derrick Harkins, who held a similar position in 2012 and has been the senior vice president of Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Speaking with Religious News Service, Harkins said that the Democratic Party takes its relationship with faith communities "seriously" while promising to make faith "a priority going into 2020, but even more importantly, beyond 2020."

The enlistment of Harkins comes less than a week after The Hill reported that evangelical voters do not have buyer's remorse for supporting Trump in 2016 and largely believe he has kept his promise to defend their religious liberty and protect unborn life. Faith leaders and anti-abortion groups are ramping up their efforts to reelect President Trump, rewarding a president who has become an unlikely hero of the Christian right because of his commitment to socially conservative causes. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray this plan to deceive Christians with the gospel of secular humanism will fail and come to nothing. We pray those who have Your light and life will gain more and more ground this election season.

- I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. (John 12:46)

7. Hispanic pastors tour border facility lambasted by AOC and say they are 'shocked by misinformation' - FoxNews

Rev. Samuel Rodriguez was "full of indignation" when he saw the reports and heard from politicians about the deplorable and inhumane conditions for illegal immigrants at an El Paso County, Texas migrant detention center. But what he saw at the same facility toured by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. with a group of pastors was "drastically different."

The president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the world's largest Hispanic Christian organization, and senior pastor of New Seasons Christian Worship Center in Sacramento shared his firsthand experience touring a migrant detention center during a press briefing Monday. "We found no soiled diapers, no deplorable conditions and no lack of basic necessities," Rodriguez remarked.

The pastors left encouraged by the commitment and dedication of America's Border Patrol and immigration officers, "many of which are Latinos, by the way." He said one emotional Border Patrol agent turned to him and said, referring to the vilification: "Pastor Sam, what they're saying about us is completely false. We care about these kids and have a passion for our calling." (Read more)

- Father, we ask You to amplify the voices of these Hispanic Pastors, who just want to communicate the truth about the care of individuals in these detention centers.

- Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)

8. Big Tech's big secret - WND

Last week's Democratic presidential primary debates highlighted one of the great paradoxes of our time: The Democratic Party, to all appearances, has gone completely mad, embracing wildly radical policies from mass gun confiscation to socialism to late-term abortion to allowing convicted, incarcerated terrorists to vote. Yet the party could well see its candidate elected president in 2020.

As the June issue of Whistleblower magazine documents, citing hard evidence including multiple peer-reviewed studies, Google is already determining the results of elections around the world. And, contends Google researcher Robert Epstein, Ph.D., former editor-in-chief of Psychology Today (and a Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016), Google likely swung as many as 3 million votes toward Hillary in the 2016 presidential contest.

"I'm guessing that these companies held back in 2016, because they were overconfident," Epstein said later. Recently, Epstein predicted, based on his half-decade of peer-reviewed research, that Big Tech could swing 15 million votes toward the Democrat presidential candidate in 2020, without leaving any paper trail and without those so influenced realizing it. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray for a transparent, free and fair election. We pray every voter will truly know where each candidate stands on important issues and make an informed choice.

- Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold. (Proverbs 8:10)

9. Ohio votes for a resolution labeling cartels as foreign terrorist organizations - Independent Sentinel

Ohio's state House overwhelmingly voted to approve a resolution calling on the federal government to label all drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. It could allow the federal government to seize cartels' financial assets and increase their intelligence gathering capabilities. Taking this action could open up resources for the state and jurisdictions across Ohio to fight the opioid epidemic.

Experts believe Ohio is a vital distribution point for drug cartels because of its central location in the country. In testifying before the House Criminal Justice Committee earlier this month, Derek Maltz, who worked for 28 years as a special agent in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), said cartels operate like international businesses, but their tactics are similar to terrorist organizations.

"We must never lose sight of the fact that the United States is the marketplace for the bulk of transnational criminal businesses engaged in human trafficking and the smuggling, distribution, and sale of illegal drugs," the letter, signed by former agents for the U.S., Canada, Southwest, and U.S./Mexico border chapters, stated. "Organized crime on this scale we are speaking about cannot exist without political protection. (Read more)

- Father, we pray the Federal government will respond to this resolution and give the state of Ohio the resources it needs to protect its citizens and fight the cartels.

- He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor. (Psalm 72:4)

10. Judge Keeps California Gun Fight Alive - WND

A federal judge has rejected the state of California's request to dismiss a lawsuit by gun owners against an online firearms-registration program that did not function. WND reported last year the state created website but didn't ensure it was operational. At the time, lawyers for the Second Amendment Foundation and three other advocacy groups filed an amended complaint against state Attorney General Xavier Becerra asking a judge to halt California's enforcement of a new law restricting possession of so-called "bullet button assault weapons" because the registration system did not function.

Calguns Foundation, Firearms Policy Coalition, Firearms Policy Foundation and seven individuals joined SAF in the suit. The complaint said "many users who were able to initially log in and begin the process could not finish because the system crashed, obliterating all of their work." The problems are traceable to the state's decision to underfund and understaff the program. (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You for the ruling of this judge and ask that You hold the state of California accountable for their actions that harm law abiding citizens.

- "The evil will bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous." (Proverbs 14:19)

The prophecy clock moving forward

The deal struck with Iran by the previous US president has contributed to Iran defiantly enriching more nuclear grade uranium. Even more, the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency, which has been an abject failure in keeping Iran's nuclear program in check, admitted through a spokesman that it is aware of media reports related to Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium. The Jerusalem Post reports that Iran's foreign ministry refused to take responsibility: "We told the Europeans that if more practical, more thorough and complete steps were taken, the measures taken to reduce Iran's commitments could be reversed, otherwise we will continue." The prophecy clock may be moving forward.

According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Iran has made incredible advances toward controlling the Middle East in Syria, Iraq, Kurdistan, and Lebanon. In Daniel 8:19, Gabriel says, "Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia." Strong's Concordance interprets the word "Grecia" in Hebrew as "Yavan, a son of Japheth (the third son of Noah), his descendants and their land." The Genesis 10 table of nations indicates this area was not only Greece (as Bible interpretations imply), but also the Eastern Mediterranean, including parts of modern Turkey (Magog, Tubal, Meshech). The ram would correspond with modern Iran.
Turkey, led by dictator-"president" Recep Tayyip Erdogan also has been making moves to cement power over the Middle East. In January, after the US announced it was pulling out of Syria, Erdogan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Russia supports Iran. Syria is a vassal state of Iran. A 1998 agreement between Russia and Turkey, according to Bloomberg, "states that Syria won't permit any activity on its territory that would jeopardize Turkey's security." Turkey wants to attack the Kurds in Syria, which Erdogan believes pose a threat to Turkey's national security. Iran also seeks to control the Kurds. Putin was leveraging the 1998 agreement to say that Syria will take care of the Kurds in Syrian territory, hoping that Turkey will restore ties with Syria. Prophecy will eventually bring clarity to this complex situation.
Ezekiel 38 says that in the end of days, Gog of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (all in Turkey), leads a coalition of Persia (Iran), Libya; and Ethiopia (Sudan) against Israel. When we see Iran being brought into such a coalition with Turkey and these prophetic nations aligning against Israel, we know this time is near. Iran is currently making a play to control the region and positioning to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth (Iran's stated intentions). We know through prophecy, however, that Iran must come into league with Turkey for the end time battle led by Gog. Ezekiel 38:23 says, "Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord." The recent posturing of Turkey and Iran likely accelerates the prophecy clock. Watch and pray.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

The "Do No Harm Act" Threatens our Religious Freedom

RED ALERT!

The "Do No Harm Act" is Hostile to Christians and Other Faiths

It's hard to deny that religion has shaped America. And we are better off for it. Thousands of faith-based organizations in America serve their communities by offering food, clothing, shelter, counseling, and other social services; they provide jobs for thousands of Americans; and they produce goods and services that drive our economy. In a recent study, Brian J. Grim and Melissa E. Grim estimated that religious organizations contribute approximately $1.2 trillion annually to the U.S. economy.

These good works are possible, in part, because for over 25 years the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) has protected believers against laws and regulations that would force them to stop serving the general public and retreat within their walls.

But now RFRA is being threatened.

Congress has proposed the "Do No Harm Act", which would strip the protections that RFRA provides for people of faith.

The "Do No Harm Act" hand-picks certain religious beliefs and practices - specifically those related to abortion, sterilization, marriage, and human sexuality - and strips protection under the federal law from those of faith who hold disfavored viewpoints on these issues. ["Do No Harm" evidently means Do No Harm against the positions, ideologies, and actions that liberals like.]

Simply put, the "Do No Harm Act" demonstrates outright hostility and intolerance for certain people of faith.

Ultimately, the "Do No Harm Act" sends an unmistakable message to the American people: If the government tramples on people of faith and forbids them from living consistently with their beliefs, they have no recourse. The legal system will not even permit them to plead their case.

(Source: Intercessors for America) Read more.
- Lord, we come to you and ask for believers to step out and make their position known. May your church take action to protect religious freedom!

A Musical 'Prophecy Fulfilled':

8 Years Ago This Worship Leader Penned These Lyrics for North Korea
In the Exact Spot Where Trump Walked On Sunday

-'Oh my God Nothing is too hard for You'

"Oftentimes we have no idea how God can use our simple songs and prayers to change history. Long ways to go still but celebrating small steps (or giant leaps) today!" -Sean Feucht
[FoxNews.com] A worship leader celebrated President Trump's historic meeting with Kim Jong Un Sunday as a "prophecy fulfilled" in the country that he described as the "darkest, hardest" place in the world for Christians.

Sean Feucht, penned lyrics for his song "Finish What You Started (Song for North Korea)," which was released in 2012 as part of an album called 'Songs For Nations," in the exact spot on the Korean Demilitarized Zone where Trump and Kim embraced before their 50-minute meeting-their third-in pursuit of peace. The song calls for peace and hope.

Through his non-profit, Light A Candle Project, the Bethel Music singer/songwriter goes into some of the most heavily persecuted areas for Christians worldwide and has seen incredible things happen. But he told Fox News he "never imagined that the song would come true."
