Special Alert

The graduation of Eliyahu Ben Haim, IFI's Chairman

June 23rd, 2019

Late yesterday, our brother and friend Eliyahu Ben Haim finished his race and was taken to his heavenly home by God his Father. While we are relieved that Eliyahu's pain and suffering have ended, we grieve with his family and friends who remain behind.

Please pray for:

- His wife Hannah, and his children and grandchildren, to sense the supernatural comfort from God as they go through the grieving process (2 Cor. 1:3-4).

- For grace and divine guidance for all of those involved with what must be dealt with as a result of Eliyahu's passing.

- For the IFI leadership to hear when the Lord Yeshua speaks to us and to continue in His grace and strength in this - His ministry (John 10:27).

- That the ultimate results of all of the above will be that our God is glorified
(John 12:26-28).

Personal note from Chuck Cohen:

It has been my privilege and joy to co-labor with Eliyahu here in Israel and in many other nations as well. In God's grace we have been friends through the good times and the rough times. He will be missed by many, yet his leadership and his tenacity to stand with God's will for this nation will continue as we stand in the gap for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done here in Israel - and globally - for the sanctification of His Holy Name.

Blessings from Zion

Chuck Cohen

A final thought. Billy Graham apparently had said that when we read the report of his death, we were not to believe it - because he would be more alive then than at any other time in his life! Amen.

A note from CHPP:

We join with our brothers and sisters in Yeshua today as they mourn the passing of their precious leader. If you would like to know how to send an offering to IFI at this time, please go here. Thank you.

Focus on Israel

1. US unveils $50 billion Palestinian economic plan ahead of Bahrain conference - World Israel News

The economic portion of the Trump administration's long-awaited "deal of the century" Mideast peace plan was unveiled on Saturday, which calls for a mix of public and private financing and intends to create at least a million new jobs for Palestinians.

The $50 billion initiative was posted to the White House website ahead of a two-day conference in Bahrain that is being held amid outright opposition from the Palestinians.

The Bahrain conference, dubbed the "Peace to Prosperity" workshop, will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday amid heightened regional tensions over Iran that threaten to overshadow its goals.

With no official participation from the two main actors, Israel and the Palestinians, and the distraction of potential U.S.-Iran conflict, expectations are decidedly low. President Donald Trump's senior adviser Jared Kushner faces high hurdles in building support for the initiative.

2. PA Calling Trump's Peace Deal a Bribe While Entire Region Plans to Attend Bahrain Conference - Jewish Press

Senior Palestinian Authority officials dismissed the economic plan published Saturday night by the Trump administration, suggesting the "deal of the century" constitutes nothing more than a financial bribe without real cover by its intended backers, and an imaginary scheme that exists only in Jared Kushner's head.

According to these officials, who spoke to Kan News Sunday morning, "No Arab country, not even in the Persian Gulf, will give money to the projects that appear in the plan, and we are not interested in them either, without a political solution. We do need financial support, but not this way. This plan will be buried very quickly under the elections in Israel and in the United States."

They could be right, but judging by the positive reaction to the Trump plan across the Western-affiliated Middle East, everybody who is anybody has already jumped on the American bandwagon.

3. Hamas leader details terms for calm with Israel - Israel Hayom

Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said on Thursday that two industrial zones, a new power line and a hospital would be built for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as part of truce understandings between his Islamist terrorist group and Israel.

The deal, brokered by Egypt, Qatar and the United Nations, has not been publicly acknowledged by Israel. In a briefing to foreign media, Haniyeh accused Israel of dragging its feet in carrying out its obligations under an indirect cease-fire for the Gaza Strip, saying the fragile deal was "in danger" of collapsing.

4. Gantz supports economic deal, clarifies: Gaza Strip must be demilitarized - Jerusalem Post

Israeli politicians from all across the political spectrum reacted on Saturday night to the Trump administration's unveiling of the economic portion of its Mideast peace plan.

Blue and White leader Benny Gantz wrote on his Facebook page that he is "in favor of promotion and economic development for the Palestinians in Gaza and Judea and Samaria."

However, Gantz clarified that "any such initiative... must be part of the effort to demilitarize the Gaza Strip, return prisoners and missing persons, and prevent terrorist activity in Judea and Samaria, and work together with the world to establish the understanding that security calm will also lead to prosperity and prosperity in the entire region."

Blue and White second-in-command Yair Lapid pointed out that the plan is an effective attempt to "make the Palestinian public understand that if they say no, each of them will lose a lot of money and opportunities," according to a post uploaded to his Facebook page.

5. Likud court approves alliance with Kulanu - Israel National News

The Likud Court, headed by attorney Michael Kleiner, rejected a series of petitions against the decisions of the Likud secretariat regarding the formation of the Likud list for the 22nd Knesset.

In a narrow majority of three judges against two, the court rejected the petition against the agreement with the Kulanu party, which included four seats for party representatives.

In addition, the court rejected petitions filed against the cancellation of the primaries, while stating that the Likud Constitution did not foresee a situation of two election campaigns so close together.

Likewise, the court rejected Pinhas Idan's petition, which sought to place him back in the 19th place on the Likud list for the 22nd Knesset and the petition of Yaakov Ben Saadon, who claimed that he should be 19th on the list.

The Daily Brief

1. 'America First' allies say Trump saved presidency from John Bolton by scrapping Iran strike - Washington Examiner

Non-interventionist Trump allies are cheering President Trump's Thursday night decision to buck his most senior advisers and abandon an airstrike on Iran, saying the decision could help him win reelection while preventing a major regional war. Trump canceled the bombing of Iran after authorizing it, saying via Twitter he learned 150 Iranians might die, and that it would not be proportional to the loss of one U.S. drone. National security adviser John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly favored the attack, after issuing aggressive recent statements on Iran. Fernando Cutz, a former White House National Security Council official who worked under both Trump and Obama, said Trump proved himself to be a counterweight to hawks, as advisers pulled for conflict. "The president is rightfully not wanting to get us into an unnecessary war. There needs to be an effort by both sides to deescalate the rapidly rising tensions, including a good-faith effort by those working for the president."

- Father God, we lift up our voice praying against the movement of nations against one another with such conflict that they cause a war to erupt. There is an enemy that we ask God to keep in check until God's timing is ready to unfold. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

-"And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6)

2. E. Jean Carroll Accuses Trump Of Sexual Assault, President Says He Never Met Her - SaraACarter

E. Jean Carroll has accused President Trump of sexually assaulting her in a New York City dressing room two decades ago. New York magazine on Friday published the allegations by columnist E. Jean Carroll, as part of an excerpt from her forthcoming book in which she accuses Trump of sexual assault.

On Friday the President issued a statement on this matter. "Regarding the "story" by E. Jean Carroll, claiming she once encountered me at Bergdorf Goodman 23 years ago. I've never met this person in my life."

"Shame on those who make up false stories of assault to try to get publicity for themselves, or sell a book, or carry out a political agenda. False accusations diminish the severity of real assault. All should condemn false accusations and any actual assault in the strongest possible terms."

- Father in heaven, we put the powerful Blood of Jesus upon President Trump to protect him from the rantings of the group of witches whose satanic assignment is to come against our President. We pray this story be reversed and all the criminality of it fall on the one who originated this slander. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

-"They that hate you shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nothing." (Job 8:22)

3. Trump Delays ICE's 10-City Immigration Raids for Two Weeks - Breitbart

President Donald Trump on Saturday said he will delay for two weeks raids of illegal immigrants scheduled to start in 10 cities in an effort to work out a solution in Congress. The president's decision came one day after the plans, including targeted cities, were revealed, drawing outrage from mayors in the affected locations.

The upcoming raids, based on cases filed in 10 immigration court locations - Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York and San Francisco - were to target approximately 2,000 people, according to a senior immigration official.

"The people that Ice will apprehend have already been ordered to be deported," Trump tweeted . "This means that they have run from the law and run from the courts. These are people that are supposed to go back to their home country. They broke the law by coming into the country, and now by staying."

-Lord God, we pray that the process of deportation of immigrants will be quick and orderly and without any warfare. We pray now that the Lord will stop them from coming over to this country in the future. Keep the enemy in check and this we pray in the Name of Jesus.

"The nations shall rush like the rush of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind." (Isaiah 17:13)

4. Supreme Court Upholds WWI 'Peace Cross' on Public Land in Maryland - CBN News

The US Supreme Court delivered a major ruling allowing the use of religious symbols in American life Thursday. The court ruled that a World War I memorial in the shape of a 40-foot cross doesn't violate the First Amendment's establishment clause and can remain on public land in Bladensburg, Maryland.

The justices ruled seven to two in favor of the supporters of the Bladensburg cross, which has also been referred to as "the Peace Cross". The majority said preserving a long-standing religious monument is in stark contrast with the idea of permitting the building of a new one.

Mike Moore of the Maryland Veterans Commission said it's very gratifying to know that "the Supreme Court has sided with reality and sensibility." Kelly Shackelford, chief counsel at First Liberty Institute said, "There's going to be a presumptive constitutionality for these religious symbols and monuments and memorials across our country, that is huge - that's a sea change."

-Father God, we consider this as seeing the hand of God in operation to save this 40-foot Peace Cross. Thank You, Lord, for keeping the Supreme Court focused on preserving this long-standing religious monument. In the Name of Jesus.

-"That the generation to come might know them, even the children that should be born; who should arise and declare this to the next generation." (Psalm 78:6)

5. A Surprising Unanimous Pro-Life Ruling from America's Most Liberal Appeals Court - CBN News

The most liberal federal appeals court in the country has unanimously delivered a surprising ruling in favor of a Trump administration pro-life policy. The Protect Life Rule stops clinics from receiving federal funding if they share office space with abortion providers. It also prevents taxpayer-funded clinics from making abortion referrals. The move is expected to reduce Planned Parenthood's federal subsidies by $60 million.

Several lower courts had ruled the policy can't take effect while it's being disputed in court. But a three-judge panel on the liberal Ninth Circuit Federal Appeals Court overturned those rulings, saying the Trump administration rules will be implemented while multiple lawsuits against the policy go forward.

Although the Ninth Circuit's decision could be a temporary victory, pro-life groups say it's still a win. "This commonsense ruling simply allows HHS to ensure greater compliance with current federal and state laws, safeguard vulnerable and abused women and children, and help protect freedom of conscience for health care workers."

- Praise the Name of God for this surprising ruling in favor of a Trump administration pro-life policy. And abortion referrals are prevented. Lord God, we pray that You will also pull the plug out from Planned Parenthood's $60 million. God, we pray that the current federal and state laws will be solid, and protect the poor abused women and children, and also protect freedom of conscience of health care workers. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"Give ear, O my people, to God's law; incline your ears to the words of God's mouth." (Isaiah 78:1)

6. Trump's Department of Interior Gives Americans Access to Federal Land - Breitbart

Secretary David Bernhardt announced a plan to open up more than 1.4 million acres of federal land through the elimination of some 7,500 regulations. The land, under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, includes 74 national wildlife refuges and 15 national fish hatcheries.

President Trump is committed to expanding public access on public lands, and this proposal is executing on that directive by opening and increasing more access to hunting and fishing by the Fish and Wildlife Service at more stations and across more acres than ever before. Hunting and fishing are more than just traditional pastimes as they are also vital to the conservation of our lands and waters, our outdoor recreation economy, and our American way of life.

The proposal also outlines a comprehensive revision and simplification of all refuge-specific hunting and fishing regulations in all 50 states to more closely match state regulations while continuing to ensure safe and compatible opportunities. The Service worked closely with the states in preparing the proposed rule. "The Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation applauds Secretary Bernhardt for his efforts to expand hunting and fishing opportunities within the National Wildlife Refuge System," Jeff Crane, president of the foundation said.

- Father God, we are so thankful for the release of the 1.4 million acres of federal land to expand public access for fishing and hunting. For this we praise the Lord for guiding our President. In the Name of Jesus.

-"And He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise for our God: man shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord." ( Psalm 40:3)

7. Trump EPA rolls back Obama's coal crackdown - FoxNews

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Andrew Wheeler on Wednesday finalized the agency's plan for replacing Obama-era regulations on emissions from coal-fired power plants, part of a long-running effort by the Trump administration to roll back environmental rules.

The ACE rule, once fully implemented, allows states to select their own energy plans. "The contrast between our approach and the Green New Deal, or plans like it, couldn't be clearer," Wheeler said. "Rather than Washington telling Americans what type of energy they can use, or how they can travel, or even what they can eat, we are working cooperatively with the states to provide affordable, dependable, and diverse supply of energy that continues to get cleaner and more efficient."

New York Attorney General Letitia James said Tuesday she plans to sue the EPA over the rule. "This is yet another prime example of this administration's attempt to rollback critical regulations that will have devastating impacts on both the safety & health of our nation," the Democrat tweeted.

-Holy God, we are so thankful that Mr. Wheeler finalized the Environmental Protection Agency's plan to replace Obama-era regulations and roll back environmental rules, giving states freedom to select their energy plans. God, block Ms. James attempt to sue the EPA by Your mighty power, and bring all her attempts to cause warfare to be defeated and fall. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

-"Blessed is the man that makes the Lord his trust, an respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies." (Psalm 40:4)

8. Podesta's Center for American Progress Fuels Dark Money Group Hitting Trump with Lawsuits - FreeBeacon

A "nonpartisan" dark money group that regularly files litigation against President Donald Trump's administration is powered by money from the Center for American Progress (CAP), the liberal think tank founded by former Clinton campaign manager John Podesta.

The Democracy Forward Foundation, a D.C.-based 501(c)3 nonprofit, has filed suit against numerous government agencies, such as the Department of Justice, Department of Treasury, and the Office of Management and Budget, and has aided other entities with similar litigation, including Baltimore's lawsuit against the Trump administration over immigration policy. The group also has a 501(c)4 "social welfare" arm that goes by Democracy Forward.

Updated records provide a fuller list of the group's governors: Marc Elias, an attorney at Perkins Coie who was the top lawyer for Hillary Clinton's campaign, and now holds the same position in Sen. Kamala Harris's (D-CA) campaign; Maya Harris, also a Democratic operative and the sister of Sen. Harris; and Podesta.

-Almighty God, we go against this beast by the powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit to defeat all the deeds of this organization. Pull them down, Lord, that their lawsuits will be stopped and defeated against President Trump. We pray in Jesus' Name.

-"The Lord has mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused the Center for American Progress to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit." (Isaiah19:14)

9. Pompeo Condemns Atrocities in China, Vows to Safeguard International Religious Rights - Epoch Times

U.S. State Secretary Michael Pompeo sternly reprimanded China for "staggering religious abuses" committed in the country during his unveiling of the State Department's annual report on global religious freedom on June 21. Pompeo added that the U.S. administration will make promoting religious freedom a "top foreign policy agenda" and continue to be the vanguard for international religious rights.

His comments were also a rare instance of a top U.S. official publicly calling out China for its ongoing persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline for mind and body improvement based on moral teachings of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. It has been severely persecuted since 1999, with hundreds of thousands of adherents being thrown into prison, brainwashing centers, labor camps, and other detention facilities where they are often tortured.

Sam Brownback, the U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, also specifically condemned the atrocity of forced organ harvesting, a state-sanctioned practice whereby hospitals amass profits by killing prisoners of conscience and selling fresh organs for transplant surgery. A recent ruling by an independent people's tribunal in London found substantial evidence that forced organ harvesting has taken place in China for years "on a significant scale," and that Falun Gong practitioners were likely the principal source of organs.

- Heavenly Father, may You step into this situation in China which is hell on earth, and bind all the forces of evil under the mighty power of God so that religious rights will be implemented in China. Break the invisible demonic forces controlling that country and deliver the people out of systematic torture. Close down hospitals that kill prisoners and harvest their organs. Lord God, we cry out to you to send these evil forces back to hell from whence they came. In the powerful Name of Jesus we pray.

"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just." (Matthew 13:49)

10. Cotton, Schumer Tackle Fentanyl Legislation To Target Chinese Manufacturers - SaraACarter

The highly-potent synthetic opioid fentanyl is garnering bipartisan attention from Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who are now, together, spearheading a push for legislation targeting communist China.

The illicit narcotic was responsible for 28,400 of nearly 70,000 opioid overdose deaths in 2017 alone, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. China is the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of fentanyl. From China, its sent through the international mail system to the Western hemisphere. It makes its way to the U.S. via the Mexican drug cartels. Partisan politics aside, Cotton and Schumer are targeting the traffickers in an effort to save American lives.

The two lawmakers introduced the Fentanyl Sanctions Act this week. The bill seeks to better equip U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies with the resources needed to combat the illicit trafficking of fentanyl, while also directly targeting China.

- Almighty God, we cry out to You to bring China to its knees. Cut off the supply of Fentanyl coming into the United States and being the cause of multiple thousands of deaths in our country. Block the mail system by high-powered technological means. Stop the traffic of Fentanyl getting out of China. Oh Lord God, move mightily against this wickedness and cause China to fall. We pray in the powerful Name of Jesus.

"And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." (Matthew 25:46)

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
