Lord, each guest represents a life that has been brought renewed hope and help due to the efforts of this administration. We ask that each one be given the honor due to him or to her by our nation. 2. Stacey Abrams to give Democratic response of the State of the Union - CNN

Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said Tuesday she has accepted an invitation to give the Democratic response to the State of the Union address.

Abrams has been talked about as a rising star in the Democratic Party. She gained a national following during her unsuccessful bid to become governor of Georgia last fall. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Tuesday that he called Abrams three weeks ago to discuss the idea and that she has since accepted.

Abrams said on Tuesday that she is "honored" to give the Democratic response. Abrams' spokesperson said Abrams would be the first black woman to give the Democratic response to the State of the Union. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that her words not be imbued with a distorted message, in Your name, amen.

"But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37)

3. Here are the guests that members of Congress are bringing to the State of the Union - WTOPNews.com; Washington, D.C.

As members of Congress prepare for the rescheduled State of the Union on Tuesday, several have selected guests primed for politics for an evening in the shadow of the recent and possibly looming government shutdowns.

Each member of Congress may bring a guest to the address, and many representatives choose guests who highlight key policy issues or stances that they support.

Here's who different members of Congress will bring as their guests to the State of the Union (Senate and House) - Read the list here.

- Father God, we call forth Your destiny and Your purpose in the lives of all whose names are on this long list. Lord God, may each one fulfill Your will, and not that of any political agenda. In Your Name, amen.

"Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)

4. Road closures for the 2019 State of the Union address - WTOP

Tuesday's State of the Union address will lead to a host of road closures and other restrictions in the area around the U.S. Capitol, where President Donald Trump will address a joint session of Congress at 9 p.m.

The Capitol Police have released their list, and a map, of the closures, which begin at 7 p.m. (Go Here)

5. Ocasio-Cortez invites activist who confronted Jeff Flake over Kavanaugh nomination as State of the Union guest - CNN

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York has invited Ana Maria Archila to be her guest at President Donald Trump's State of the Union address. Archila, the co-executive director at the Center for Popular Democracy, is the activist who confronted Jeff Flake, who was then serving as a GOP senator, in an elevator on Capitol Hill in a viral moment over the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

The Center for Popular Democracy announced the news on Monday with a video featuring Ocasio-Cortez, and Archila and the congresswoman's office confirmed the invitation to CNN. It was first reported by The Intercept.

In the video, Ocasio-Cortez tells Archila that she bought them matching pins with the message "well-behaved women rarely make history." The congresswoman tells Archila "we can wear them on Tuesday," the day of the President's address to Congress.

The now famous confrontation, which was broadcast on CNN, took place after Flake had said he planned to support the nomination despite the fact that Kavanaugh had been accused by Christine Blasey Ford of a past sexual assault. Kavanaugh vehemently denied the allegations.

"He needed to understand that women feel incredibly enraged about the thought of our stories, of our experiences of surviving sexual violence being dismissed, laughed at, disbelieved, and I think I just felt a great sense of urgency and I think I saw in his face that he could not escape the emotion," Archila later told CNN's Anderson Cooper.

Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Monday that she is "proud to announce" that Archila will be her guest, saying that her action helped "elevate the stories of survivors everywhere."

Archila responded by saying in a tweet that she is "filled with hope" by Ocasio-Coretz's "fierce spirit & her relentless belief that we all deserve to live with dignity & share in the abundance of our country." (Read more)

- Lord God, we bind and we cast down any spirit that would cause a disturbance anywhere in the House chamber during the State of the Union Address, in Your Name, and we loose peace and order. Amen.

"Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 18:18)

Focus on Israel

1. In West Bank, Ya'alon plugs 'right to settle every part of the Land of Israel'- Times of Israel

Days after joining political forces with Israel Resilience chair Benny Gantz, former defense minister Moshe Ya'alon outlined on Sunday his ideological opposition to a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, praising the settlement project in the West Bank and saying that the Jewish state "has a right to every part of the Land of Israel."

Following a parlor meeting held by the Telem party chairman in the West Bank settlement of Leshem, Ya'alon said in a video posted to social media that as both IDF commander of the Central Region and as defense minister he had been instrumental in the community's establishment and was "delighted to see its expansion and growth."

Looking out from the settlement located some 40 kilometers northwest of Jerusalem and 10 kilometers east of the security fence, Ya'alon said, "When you look westward and see the lights of the Tel Aviv region you can understand the strategic security importance of the settlement here in particular and of the settlements in Judea and Samaria in general, beyond exercising our right to settle every part of the Land of Israel."

2. Iran says it has put 'guided warheads' on missiles that can reach Israel - Times of Israel

Iran has equipped its most advanced, longest-range missiles, which can hit Israel and US bases in the Gulf, with new precision guided warheads, state media reported Sunday.

According to the unsourced report in the Fars news agency, the new home-made guided warheads have now been attached to the Khoramshahr, a missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles.)

"The new generation of missiles with guided warheads has been named Khoramshahr 2 and they can be controlled until hitting the target and are able to carry warheads weighing nearly 2 tons," the report said.

It said that the new warheads had previously been mounted on the shorter range Emad, Qadr and Qiam missiles.

3. 'If Netanyahu doesn't win this election, he'll go to jail' - Israel National News

Former Finance Minister and Yesh Atid party chairman Yair Lapid blasted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Monday evening, accusing the premier of using the upcoming elections to shield himself from a series of criminal investigations.

Speaking at a conference of hosted by the Movement for Quality Government in Israel (MQG) in Modi'in Monday evening, Lapid claimed that Netanyahu has framed the upcoming general election - slated for Apri1 9th - as a referendum on three investigations against him, hoping to use a victory at the ballot box to justify axing the probes after the election.

"He wants elections to be [focused] on the investigations because if he wins he believes he'll have a mandate to shut down the probes," Lapid said.

5. On Historic Trip, Pope Meets UAE Leaders, Gets Royal Welcome - Algemeiner

Pope Francis, the first pontiff to set foot on the peninsula where Islam was born, met United Arab Emirates leaders in Abu Dhabi on Monday in a historic trip he hopes will foster peace through religious dialogue.

Arriving at the sprawling presidential palace with its many domes of gold and glass, Francis was greeted with a flyover by UAE air force jets spewing out plumes of smoke in yellow and white - the colors of the Vatican flag.

He rode to the main courtyard in a small car escorted by a dozen flag-bearing Emirati guards on horseback. He shunned bulletproof cars or limousines since the start of his papacy.

Once inside the palace, a 370-acre (150-hectare) maze of buildings, gardens and fountains, Francis held private talks with Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan and other UAE leaders.

1. Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax denies sexual assault claim, amid political storm - Fox News

Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax issued a forceful pre-dawn denial on Monday to an allegation of sexual assault that surfaced after 15 years, in the latest political bombshell to rock Richmond where Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam is battling resignation calls over a racist photo from his medical school yearbook.

Fairfax, who would be next in line for governor should Northam bow to pressure and resign, called the allegation "defamatory" and "false." "Lt. Governor Fairfax has an outstanding and well-earned reputation for treating people with dignity and respect," the statement from his office read. "He has never assaulted anyone-ever-in any way, shape, or form." (Read more)

- Lord, the state of Virginia is in deep trouble, with their governor under pressure to resign, and their Lt Governor being accused of sexual assault. We pray for repentance, for truth, and a righteous path forward for the people of Virginia.

"Evil pursues sinners, but to the righteous, good shall be repaid." (Proverbs 13:21)

2. Trump's late-term abortion warning in 2016 debate against Clinton goes viral - FoxNews

A prescient exchange from a 2016 debate between now-President Trump and Hillary Clinton has gone viral and gained new traction amid the newly stoked abortion debate over state bills aimed at loosening restrictions on third-trimester terminations.

"With what Hillary is saying, in the ninth month, you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb of the mother just prior to the birth of the baby," Trump said. "Now you can say that that's okay, and Hillary can say that that's okay, but it's not okay with me." He continued: "Because based on what she's saying, and based on where she's going and where she's been, you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month, on the final day. And that's not acceptable."

Trump was criticized at the time for allegedly mischaracterizing the issue, with The Washington Post fact-checking the GOP presidential candidate after the debate. Most abortions in the U.S. indeed are performed in the first trimester of pregnancy, and third-trimester abortions remain rare. But the exchange has taken on new significance as states move to roll back restrictions for third-trimester abortions. (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You that our president was aware of the problem of third trimester abortion during the campaign. We pray that You will stop the shedding of innocent blood within our borders.

"They band themselves together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death." (Psalm 94:21)

3. 'Whistleblower' in White House security clearance office gets suspended - NBC

A White House security specialist has been suspended without pay for defying her supervisor Carl Kline, less than a week after NBC News reported Kline approved Jared Kushner for top secret clearance over the objections of career staff. The specialist, Tricia Newbold, had filed a discrimination complaint against Kline three months ago.

. . . Newbold's lawyer, Ed Passman, considers her a whistleblower and said he believes the administrative charges were brought as payback for her decision to file the complaint against Kline. "It's clearly reprisal for her whistleblowing," Passman said. "[It] has no basis in merit whatsoever." Newbold told NBC News, "I confidently feel that this is completely unwarranted and I am also confident that I have done nothing wrong, every decision I and my team have made have always been in the best interest of the United States," she said. "There is no compromise of personal identifiable information or sensitive information."

Asked about Newbold's suspension, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said, "We don't comment on personnel issues." (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You will preserve the ability of the Trump administration to complete the tasks that You have given them.

"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6)

4. Democrats Offer Plan to Release All Child Traffickers at Border into U.S.- Breitbart

The House Democrats' first offer to President Trump in negotiations to fund his proposed United States-Mexico border wall includes a provision that would end all immigration enforcement for migrants trafficking children across the southern border.

The draft budget provides the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency with $7.4 billion, nearly $850 million less than requested by the Trump administration, and funds only 1,250 beds for adults and migrant children coming across the border this year, a decrease in detention space.

Attached to that funding, though, is an immigration enforcement ban first introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and supported by every Senate Democrat. The Democrats' offer demands that all immigration enforcement end for any adult crossing the border with a child by the end of Fiscal Year 2019.

Rather than being held in detention for a period of time, those adults and the migrant children they trafficked across the U.S.-Mexico border would be released immediately into the interior of the country. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) previously called the plan the "Child Trafficking Encouragement Act" as it ensures that adults bringing children to the southern border would gain immediate access into the U.S. without fear of being deported or turned away. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that ONLY that plan which You have decided for the border be agreed upon. This plan to release child traffickers into the United States is egregious and harmful.

-"For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children."(Psalm 49:25c,d)

5. Senate Republicans reintroduce bill to repeal the estate tax - The Hill

Senate Republicans on Monday announced that they are reintroducing legislation to repeal the federal estate tax. The bill comes after the GOP tax law reduced the number of estates that would be subject to the tax but did not completely eliminate it.

The legislation was offered by Sen. John Thune (R-SD), the number two Senate Republican, and is co-sponsored by more than two dozen others in the caucus, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The bill is unlikely to become law in the next two years, since it would need 60 votes to pass the Senate and would be unable to pass the Democratic-controlled House. But by introducing the bill, Senate Republicans are able to highlight one of their longstanding tax priorities. (Read more)

- Father, we have been tracking legislation to repeal this estate tax for several years. We say that NOW is the "set time" for this to pass, despite the odds against it doing so. We trust You for this miracle, dear Lord. Amen and amen.

"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)

6. Wilford: Bernie Sanders Just Dropped Another Confiscatory Tax Proposal - Daily Caller

The 2020 Democratic primary field is getting crowded, and contenders are busy trying to outbid each other with new anti-wealth policies. In the wake of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-N.Y.) proposal to raise the top marginal tax rate to 70 percent, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) came out with a wealth tax that would confiscate two percent of one's assets every year. Not willing to cede the mantle of most anti-wealth Democrat so easily, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders followed these proposals up with one of his own - an estate tax with a top rate of 77 percent.

Under Sanders's plan, estate tax rates would jump to 45 percent on estate value between $3.5-10 million, 50 percent between $10-50 million, 55 percent between $50 million and $1 billion, and then a staggering 77 percent above $1 billion. Under current law, thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, estates valued up to $11.2 million are exempted and the top tax rate is 40 percent. However, even before the passage of the TCJA, the top rate was the same, and estates up to $5.5 million were exempted. (Read more)

- Lord, these ideas for heavy taxation on Americans are horrifying. We pray that no plan except Your perfect will can be allowed to pass the legislature, regardless of which party is in control.

"And ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding." (Colossians 1:9)

7. The Democrats Have A Serious Radicalism Problem, And Kamala Harris Just Proved It- Daily Wire

On Monday evening, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) jumped into the presidential race with both feet in a townhall in Iowa, broadcast by CNN. There, Harris embraced every radical position available to her - presumably in an attempt to crowd out candidates to her Left, including Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

With that strategy in mind, she embraced Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's so-called Green New Deal, which would cost an estimated $49 trillion over the next ten years, as well as slashing the military in half, eliminating natural gas and coal within 11 years, and banning gasoline-powered vehicles.

She also embraced nationalized health care insurance to the extent that she gladly stated that she would "eliminate" private insurance - you know, the insurance upon which the vast majority of Americans rely. A Medicare-for-All plan would cost some $32 trillion over ten years - and that's a low-end estimate, considering that Bernie Sanders' plan assumes a 40 percent reduction in provider payments, and no private health care spending outside the system.

And Harris embraced a full-scale ban on semi-automatic weapons. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You will prevent these radical agendas from being adopted by our leaders. Let wisdom be utilized in place of foolish thoughts.

"Words of the wise, spoken quietly, should be heard rather than the shout of a ruler of fools." (Proverbs 9:17)

8. WaPo fact-checker fires back at Ocasio-Cortez criticism over rating: 'She's wrong' - The Hill

An article by Kessler published on Thursday had assigned three "Pinocchios" to Ocasio-Cortez over a comment made by the freshman congresswoman saying that "a vast majority of the country doesn't make a living wage" during an interview with Ta-Nehisi Coates. Ocasio-Cortez also said that "it's wrong that corporations like Walmart and Amazon can get paid by the government, essentially experience a wealth transfer from the public, for paying people less than a minimum wage."

Kessler in his article disputed that "a vast majority of the country" was not making a living wage, while also noting that Walmart and Amazon pay more than the minimum wage.

Ocasio-Cortez took issue with Kessler's rating, questioning whether he should use a "Walmart-funded think tank as reference material for wage fairness." "That's like citing the foxes to fact-check the hens. Here's 4 Geppettos for your contested Pinocchios," Ocasio-Cortez said on Twitter on Thursday. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You that You have used the Washington Post, normally a source of fake news, to bring a rod of correction to Ms. Ocasio--Cortez. We pray she will take heed to their warning, and that all reporting be done in truth, in Your name, amen.

"If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14:14)

9. Schultz says Dems pushing 'false narrative' with big-spending promises, 'overreacting' to 2020 talk - Fox News

Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, in an interview Wednesday with Fox News, accused Democrats of pushing a "false narrative" with unrealistic promises of free college, government health care and more -- while firing back at critics who say his possible independent presidential run would boost President Trump.

Schultz explained why he would not consider running as a Democrat, given their platform. "If I ran as a Democrat, which I would not do, I would have to be disingenuous given the platform. It's just not realistic. Schultz added: "I have serious profound concerns about the country. I want to do everything I can to restore faith in our government and to give the American people a real chance an opportunity at the American dream. That's why I'm here."

The former Starbucks chief is also a longtime Democratic donor, contributing to the campaigns of former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, and Washington Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, among others.(Read more)
- Father, grant us all wisdom and discernment as we go through the constant barrage of politics of the people who want to be President. Let us see truth in all things.

"His truth shall be your shield and buckler." (Psalm 91:4c)

10. Pentagon sending 3,750 more troops to Mexico border- Fox News

The Pentagon announced Sunday the deployment of 3,750 more active-duty troops to the U.S. border with Mexico.

The deployment will raise the total active duty forces to approximately 4,350. "Additional units are being deployed for 90 days, and we will continue to evaluate the force composition required to meet the mission to protect and secure the southern border," the Pentagon said.

Roughly 2,400 active duty forces are currently at the border. A large number are going home and being replaced by the new deployment.

The announcement comes as a congressional committee seeks to reach a deal on border security funding to avert another partial government shutdown. President Trump has hinted at declaring a national emergency if the deal doesn't include funds for a border wall. The lack of an agreement on funding for a border wall closed portions of the government for 35 days. (Read more)
- Lord, we thank You that these troops will be assisting the CBP at the border. We pray for their safety, as well as a solid answer for the barrier that our President has requested. But above all, we trust in You to preserve us!

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7)

11. Lawyers for Catholic Student Nick Sandmann Prepare to Sue Media, Celebrities for Libel- Breitbart

Lawyers representing Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann have announced the preparation of letters to be sent to various celebrities, media outlets, and individual journalists who immediately and falsely slandered Sandmann and his classmates for "taunting" a Native American during a trip to Washington D.C. The student's lawyers are preparing letters for possible libel and defamation lawsuits, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

The list of recipients of the warning letters includes actress Alyssa Milano and Senator Elizabeth Warren. Targeted journalists include Maggie Haberman, David Brooks, and media outlets will include TMZ, CNN, and the New York Times. The attorneys have also identified the dioceses of Covington, Lexington, Louisville, and Baltimore as potential recipients of the letter. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that this action will slow down the unwarranted, wrongful claims of the left. We ask for Your Spirit to move over the news media, the celebrities, and the Catholic leaders in order to bring about true change and understanding.

"The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart. An evildoer gives heed to false lips; a liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue."(Proverbs 17: 3,4)

12. DC school won't play sports at Christian school where Karen Pence teaches: 'They feel unsafe'- Fox

A progressive school in the nation's capital said its students will not be playing sports at the school where Second Lady Karen Pence teaches part-time because of safety concerns.

Jessica Donovan, headmaster of Sheridan School, a K-8 institution located in northwest D.C. that has a tuition of more than $36,000 a year, sent a letter to parents saying Immanuel Christian School's policies were an "obvious challenge" given the school's "fundamental belief in diversity and inclusion."

The initial plan was to make the kids go to the school during away games wearing rainbow socks or warm-up jerseys as a show of LGBTQ support. But instead, Donovan banned the students from playing sports at the Virginia elementary school because some expressed "they feel unsafe" in such an environment.

"As we talked more, we understood that some students did not feel safe entering a school that bans LGBTQ parents, students or even families that support LGBTQ rights," she wrote. (Read more)

- Father, we ask that You touch the hearts of the Pence family, and guard them against these foolish actions. We ask that common sense be restored in our education system, and the lies of the enemy be obliterated.

- "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." (Psalm 34:17)

13. Hurricane Florence Was a 'Gut Punch' to Readiness, Marine General Says - Military Times

Three Marine Corps installations in North Carolina suffered catastrophic damage during Hurricane Florence, requiring billions of dollars in repairs so forces there can remain ready to respond to the nation's crises. Last year's late-summer hurricane hovered over the East Coast for days, dumping up to three feet of rain in some areas. It left in its wake $3.8 billion in damages to facilities and housing at Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Stations New River and Cherry Point, Brig. Gen. Benjamin Watson, head of Marine Corps Installations East, said Friday.

Between the three bases, 800 buildings and 4,000 houses were damaged by the deadly storm. Watson called the destruction a "gut punch" for the service and said it could have serious implications for national security.

The bases are host to II Marine Expeditionary Force, which makes up a third of the Corps. Having installations from which Marines are called on to deploy in disrepair could leave the country vulnerable, Watson said.

"We just can't afford to be inoperable or unable to accomplish our mission as America's 911 force," he told local leaders and community members during a forum about the storm's aftermath. https://www.military.com/daily-news/2019/02/03/hurricane-florence-was-gut-punch-readiness-marine-general-says.html?ESRC=eb_190204.nl

___Father, we ask for Your solution to this damage. We believe that the US Marine Corps is capable of moving ahead in spite of the circumstances, so we ask for Your grace and power to do what they must do for readiness.

-"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

Obstructionism is the new normal

The socialist revolution that began with the election of the immediate past president in 2008 was scheduled to go uninterrupted with the election of Hillary Clinton. The American people, however, said "No," disrupting the revolutionary remake of the United States. What followed in its wake has been a three-year temper tantrum by radical leftists with their hearts' set on overturning the current government. They call it the "resistance movement" and those who lost the last election foment it. Clinton and the past president called for it. Congress and the media are following suit. It is the largest obstruction of governance in American history. This is the visceral new normal. Your very freedoms are threatened.

Article I Section 8.15 of the Constitution says Congress shall have the power "To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions." Article 3 Section 1.1 defines treason as, "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." Section 4 states: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

In his 1796 farewell speech, George Washington warned that parties and factions were a danger to Liberty, "They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests." This is exactly what is happening today-an artful minority attempting to impose its will against the people. We see it in the media's narrative, the obstruction toward governing, and in the deep-rooted shadows of the deep state.
So when does it go too far? I would suggest that the answer is found in the very mission statements of the groups instigating this nationwide rebellion. Communist Party USA, Islamic Society of North America, Council on American Islamic Relations, Moveon.org, Human Rights Campaign, Planned Parenthood, National Education Association, and the factions and people-elected or otherwise--that work with them-all contain language, subtle or direct, that is against the Constitutional Republic form of government. Just as they spew the very hate they accuse others of doing, their brand of "patriotism" is of a similar nature against our guarantees of liberty. It has already gone too far. As Jesus said in Matthew 7:16, "You shall know them by their fruits."

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Stop Infanticide!

Stop Infanticide!

Urge Your Senators to Support the "Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act" (S. 311)

Dear Sara,

Today Senate Democrats blocked Senator Ben Sasse's (R-Nebr.) "unanimous consent" request to pass his Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S. 311). This is shocking! Urge your senators to support this bill to stop infanticide of babies born alive after failed abortions.

On the 46th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) began a radical abortion trend across the states by signing into law the Reproductive Health Act which allows abortion through all stages of pregnancy and removes explicit protections for babies born alive following a failed abortion. Last week, in defending a Virginia Democrat bill that allows abortion up through birth, Governor Ralph Northam (D-Va.) stated what appeared to be an endorsement of letting born alive babes die when he said: "If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother." This is unacceptable.
As a response, Sasse introduced the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S. 311). Congress must pass this bill to stop abortionists from killing, harvesting organs, or denying medical care to infants born alive who survive an attempted abortion. The brutal killing of these children is something our government should not tolerate.

Despite the horrors of Dr. Kermit Gosnell in 2013, who killed at least 3 babies born alive, and the 2015 Center for Medical Progress's videos of Planned Parenthood workers dissecting precious infants for body parts -- some of whom were possibly born alive - our federal laws in this country still lack any teeth to hold abortionists accountable.
It is essential that we enforce and strengthen former President George W. Bush's 2002 Born-Alive Infants Protection Act that recognized and defined in federal law the idea that a child surviving a botched abortion as a full person. This law, however, did not create enforcement tools.

Sasse's Born-Alive bill would provide the necessary enforcement tools by requiring health care practitioners to treat babies born alive after failed abortion attempts with the same care they would provide a baby born at the same gestational age. Additionally, the bill creates penalties for the intentional killing of infants born alive. The bill also gives the mother of a child born-alive a private right of action to seek relief in case an abortionist was to kill her born-alive infant.

Your two U.S. senators need to hear from you! Please email them and urge them to stop infanticide by supporting Senator Ben Sasse's Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S. 311).

Whether by neglect or intentional means, the killing of a baby who has been born alive is abhorrent. Sasse's bill provides the needed accountability to fully protect babies born alive.
Thank you for your vital work in defense of innocent human life.

A Message from Dr. Alveda King

A Message from Dr. Alveda King:

Northam Should Stay, Rescind Abortion Laws

While calls are growing for Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam to resign over a racist 1984 photograph from his medical school yearbook, Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said Monday she'd rather he stay and work to stop legislation he's approved supporting abortion.

"I would say stay there, reverse all those actions, stop agreeing to kill little human beings in the womb," King told Fox News' "Fox and Friends." "You are a pediatrician. You know those are human beings right there in the womb. So I believe he could do a really good deed if he is very serious, especially about that apology."

She also called on him to "stop doing Ku Klux Klanish things and reverse and rescind all of those ugly laws he is still supporting today."

Northam early last week came under fire for his words supporting a state late-term abortion bill. Later in the week, a photograph in a yearbook entry with his name showed two people, with one wearing a KKK robe and the other with blackface. Northam initially apologized, and then denied either of the men in the photograph was him.

King said Democrats are unwilling to talk about abortion, instead focusing on "skin color racism, not realizing it's the human blood that makes us human beings."

"He needs to apologize for agreeing to kill little babies, little human beings in the womb, in his own state," said King of Northam. "Those little human Americans, he needs to apologize to them."

BLESSED ASSURANCE

"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith."(Hebrews 10:21-22)
[Editor's comment:

OK, I know that I am repeating this hymn quite often, but I just can't get it out of my own heart. I trust this hymn blesses you as much as it does me. Sara Ballenger]

Lyrics

Blessèd assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Refrain

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Refrain
Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Refrain

About the Hymn:

"During the recent war in the Transvaal," said a gentleman at my meeting in Exeter Hall, London, in 1900, "when the soldiers going to the front were passing another body of soldiers whom they recognized, their greetings used to be, "Four-nine-four, boys; four-nine-four;" and the salute would invariably be answered with "Six further on, "" "boys; six further on." The significance of this was that, in 'Sacred Songs and Solos,' a number of copies of the small edition of which had been sent to the front, number 494 was, 'God be with you till we meet again;' and six further on than 494, or number 500, was 'Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine.'"

NASA: Fireball over Cuba exploded with more energy than a ton of TNT

A bright fireball blazed a smoky, steamy trail across the Florida sky Friday afternoon as it rushed to its final fate over Vinales, Cuba. Moments later, a loud sonic boom preceded the meteor breaking up and raining fragments down on the western end of the island nation.
Newly posted data from NASA and US government sensors say the bolide's collision with our atmosphere released as much energy as 1,400 tons of TNT.

Such powerful meteoroid events actually aren't all that rare, but they usually happen over the ocean or unpopulated areas with few potential witnesses. A more powerful blast was actually recorded when a meteor entered the atmosphere off the coast of Madagascar on Sept. 25.
The International Meteor Organization reports that hundreds of people witnessed the rare daytime fireball and 13 filed eyewitness reports from Fort Myers to the Florida Keys and off the coast of Cuba.

National Weather Service radar in Key West also picked up the space rock succumbing to its collision with our atmosphere. The agency reported that "a signature was detected near Viñales, Cuba, at a height of over 26,000 feet above ground level."

The fireball was caught as a bright, smoky flash in this webcam footage from Fort Meyers, Florida:
Almost immediately after the spectacle in the sky, reports began to surface that meteorite fragments had been found on the ground in western Cuba. (CNET) Read more
