Focus on Israel

1. WATCH: 'Sweetheart, Don't Apologize,' Farrakhan Tells Omar; Gets Huge Applause - United With Israel

In an address to his movement's Saviours' Day conference in Chicago on Sunday, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan encouraged Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar to stand by her anti-Semitic comments and not to apologize. Farrakhan has a long history of anti-Semitism and incitement against Jews. Most recently, he referred to Jews as "termites."

Omar, an advocate for the BDS, has made several racist remarks over the years, mixing anti-Israel propaganda with anti-Semitic tropes. Last week, she explicitly stated that AIPAC, the largest pro-Israel lobby group in Washington, was paying off American politicians to support the Jewish State.

Omar is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a fundraiser in Los Angeles in March for the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), according to a report in the Daily Caller. Earlier this month, she called to completely defund the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, tweeting: "#Not1Dollar for DHS."

2. Netanyahu slams 'wild anti-Semites' in France - World Israel News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement released by his office on Tuesday, "Eighty Jewish graves were desecrated with Nazi symbols by wild anti-Semites."

Netanyahu called on the leaders of France and Europe to take a strong stand against anti-Semitism, which he called "a plague that endangers everyone, not just us." He continued, "[Anti-Semitism] must be condemned wherever and whenever it rears its head."

The hate crime in France occurred amid a disturbing spike in anti-Semitic incidents in Europe. According to France's Ministry of the Interior, the number of anti-Semitic acts in France rose by 74 percent last year, from 311 in 2017 to 541 in 2018.

3. SICK: 'My Son Was a Butcher Who Knew How to Slaughter,' Praises Terrorist 's Mother - United with Israel

Most mother's dream of their children growing to be kind, successful, and generous, but not the mother of 19-year-old Palestinian terrorist Muhammad Said Muhammad Ali.

He died in the process of trying to stab Israelis to death and his mother calls him the "pride of Islam." In truly disturbing fashion, Ali's mother affectionately remembers her son as a "butcher" and a "knife commando" who "knew how to slaughter."

4. Nineteen Palestinians arrested in fresh Temple Mount clashes
- Times of Israel

Palestinian worshipers clashed with Israeli police on Jerusalem's Temple Mount on Tuesday, trying to force their way into an area of the flash-point holy compound that has been closed for years. Police said 19 Palestinians were arrested.

The incident follows a similar confrontation on Monday in which Palestinians tried to break the gate that Israel placed on the closed area last week after the Muslim Waqf religious council broke into the area and held prayers there. Palestinian medics reported that several protesters were injured in the standoff.

5. PA deletes Jewish history from key sites in Judea and Samaria - Israel Hayom

The Palestinian Authority is violating its agreements with Israel by trying to redefine historic sites and nature reserves in Judea and Samaria, Israel Hayom has learned.

The Oslo II Accord, as well as subsequent agreements, grant the Palestinian Authority limited control over certain landmarks and nature reserves in Judea and Samaria at the discretion of Israeli authorities and only if the PA commits to coordinating the administration of the areas with Israeli forces.

The 1995 agreement, which has been only partially implemented, says that "the two sides shall each take appropriate measures in order to protect Nature Reserves, Protected Natural Assets and species of animals, plants and flowers of special breeds, as well as to implement rules of behavior in Nature Reserves." But recent steps taken by the Palestinians suggest that PA officials have been flouting those provisions.

As part of this rogue behavior, the PA has recently placed a sign at Arugot Stream, which runs from west to east in Judea, calling it Al-Kanub Reserve. The sign states that the EU and the U.N. help support the administration of the site.

The Daily Brief

1. Amen: Congress moves to keep 'God' in daily prayer, thwart atheist movement - Washington Examiner

The "Amen Chorus" in Congress has been around unofficially since the Continental Congress in 1774 and officially in the House and Senate since 1789, when both chambers named chaplains to open each session with a short prayer. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other House and Senate leaders want to keep it that way amid a drive to let atheists and agnostics get a toehold on the tradition of having guest chaplains give the daily prayer.

Congress and the military are pushing back on litigation to let atheists preach by making sure that when official and guest chaplains speak, "God" or prayer be mentioned. Washington Rabbi Arnold E. Resnicoff, who has guest prayed to the House and Senate 13 times - the most of any rabbi in history - explained the newly changed rules.

"Now, you submit your prayer in advance and if you don't mention 'God,' they encourage you to add it because there is a big movement by the atheists and the agnostics to have people to pray who are not ordained and the Senate and House are fighting it. So they want to make sure that this is religious prayer," said the retired Navy chaplain. (Read more)

- Father, we are grateful Speaker Pelosi has not bowed to pressure from atheist and secular groups to be included in the "Amen Chorus". Help those chosen to offer prayer and rededicate our nation to You each day.

- It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. (Deuteronomy 13:4)

2. Trump Says Venezuela Crisis Marks 'Twilight Hour of Socialism' - Daily Signal

The movement for freedom in Venezuela reveals that the "twilight hour of socialism has arrived in our hemisphere," President Donald Trump said Monday night in a speech in Miami. "They are turning the page on socialism, turning the page on dictatorship, and there will be no going back," the president said.

"All the nations in our hemisphere have the shared interest in preventing the spread of socialist tyranny," Trump said, adding "Socialism, by its very nature, does not respect borders. It does not respect boundaries or the sovereign rights of its citizens or its neighbors. It's always seeking to expand, to encroach, and to subjugate others to its will."

The president also talked about the coming decline of the Venezuela-Cuba axis. "For decades, the socialist dictatorships of Cuba and Venezuela have propped each other up in a very corrupt bargain. Venezuela gave Cuba oil," Trump said. "In return, Cuba gave Venezuela a police state run directly from Havana. The ugly alliance between the two dictatorships is coming to a rapid end. A new future is beginning." (Read more)

- Father, we pray President Trump's proclamation will encourage the people of Venezuela and be the catalyst to deliver the entire Western Hemisphere from socialism, communism, corruption and bondage.

- But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. (Exodus 9:16)

3. Bernie's Running Again: 'Our Campaign Is About Transforming Our Country' - CNS News

"I am running for president because now more than ever, we need leadership that brings us together, not divides us up," Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said Tuesday in a video announcement. Sanders said it's not just about winning: "Our campaign is about transforming our country and creating a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice."

Sanders said his 2020 presidential campaign will be a continuation of what we did in 2016. "You may recall that in 2016, many of the ideas that I talked about -- Medicare for all, raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, making public colleges and universities tuition-free -- all of those ideas and many more are part of the political mainstream." (Read more)

- Father, we know any concept of justice outside Your definition always leads to injustice, corruption and misery. We lift up the 2020 Presidential election to You and pray the American people will choose wisely.

- Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

4. Trump Administration Leads Effort To Decriminalize Homosexuality Around The World - Daily Caller

The Trump administration, led by U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, is reportedly launching an effort to decriminalize homosexuality in dozens of countries across the world. The administration is launching the campaign Tuesday evening in Berlin and will fly in a number of European LGBT activists to discuss how to end laws in countries that make it illegal to be gay, according to officials who spoke with NBC News. The campaign will focus its efforts on countries in the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean.

"It is concerning that, in the 21st century, some 70 countries continue to have laws that criminalize LGBTI status or conduct," a U.S. official said. "Politicians, the UN, democratic governments, diplomats, and good people everywhere should speak up - and loudly," Grenell wrote. "Barbaric public executions are all too common in a country where consensual homosexual relationships are criminalized and punishable by flogging and death."

In November, Grenell called out the United Nations General Assembly for overwhelmingly voting to accuse Israel of human rights violations, suggesting the assembly should instead vote on whether or not being gay is a crime. "It will out the human rights hypocrites," he tweeted. According to officials, the administration will likely be working with the United Nations, along with other international organizations, in its efforts to abolish the criminalization of homosexuality. (Read more)

- Father, though we can agree no one should be physically harmed for having same-sex attractions, we cannot come into agreement with pressuring other countries to accept homosexuality. We ask You, Lord, to bring moderation to the position of the United States.

- I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged. (2 Corinthians 12:21)

5. Richard Grenell Emerges As Favorite For UN Ambassador - ZeroHedge

Following the sudden withdrawal of Heather Nauert from consideration to replace Nikki Haley as America's ambassador to the United Nations, several names have been floated as contenders to fill the role. Among those, US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell has emerged as a clear favorite among President Trump's base. Other names under consideration include Jamie McCourt, the U.S. ambassador to France, Kelly Craft, the U.S. ambassador to Canada, and Kevin Moley, assistant secretary of state for International Organizations.

Having spent eight years serving as a U.S. spokesman and political appointee to the U.N. - the longest in U.N. history, Grenell has vast experience representing U.S. interests in controversial international matters; including the war on terror, the seemingly endless Middle Eastern conflicts and the U.N.'s oil-for-food corruption scandal.

Grenell has also garnered the support of former White House official and current adviser to Donald Trump Jr., Andrew Surabian, as well as former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Turning Point USA president and founder Charlie Kirk, and former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka - who told Breitbart News "Ric Grenell needs to be recalled and nominated forthwith for the U.N. post," adding "He has been the President's most effective ambassador bar none. The best thing about his nomination is that with his rock solid MAGA credentials the globalist America-haters at the U.N. will be put on notice." (Read more)

- Father, we pray You will intervene and not allow Richard Grenell to be nominated to the position of United States Ambassador to the United Nations. We ask You for a representative that has Your heart and Your Spirit for the people of this world.

- Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

6. Andrew McCabe: 'Gang of Eight' was informed of investigation into Trump, 'no one objected' - Washington Examiner

Andrew McCabe, the former deputy director of the FBI, said a bipartisan group of lawmakers was briefed on a counterintelligence investigation into President Trump and not one of them objected. "No one objected, not on legal grounds, not on constitutional grounds, and not based on the facts," McCabe told NBC's "Today" show Tuesday.

McCabe and other FBI officials informed the so-called "Gang of Eight" - leaders from both parties in the House and Senate, as well as the chairs and co-chairs of the House and Senate intelligence committees - that the bureau had opened a counterintelligence investigation into Trump after he fired FBI Director James Comey in May 2017.

Editor's note: these are the members of the "Gang of Eight" in the last Congress: Devin Nunes, Adam Schiff, Richard Burr, Mark Warner, Nancy Pelosi, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and Chuck Schumer. (Read more)

- Father, we pray the whole truth will come out regarding all actions taken to undermine candidate Trump and his campaign, President-Elect Trump and his transition, and President Trump and his administration.

- The judges must make a thorough investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against a fellow Israelite, then do to the false witness as that witness intended to do to the other party. You must purge the evil from among you. (Deuteronomy 19:18-19)

7. McCabe: 'I was fired because I opened a case against the president' - Politico

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said he was ousted from the bureau in March 2018 because he opened two investigations into President Donald Trump 10 months earlier. In a statement to CBS News, the White House accused McCabe of opening "a completely baseless investigation into the president," and said that he has "no credibility."

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions dismissed McCabe - a little more than a day before he was set to formally retire - at, Sessions said, the recommendation of the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility, which cited findings from a report by the Justice Department's inspector general.

The department watchdog concluded that McCabe inappropriately authorized the disclosure of information to a Wall Street Journal reporter about an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation, and lied about the leak to officials at DOJ. (Read more)

- Father, Mr. McCabe demonstrates a complete lack of repentance for the documented abuses of his power. We pray he will be held fully accountable for the harm he has done to our nation.

- But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. (Romans 2:5)

8. Former U.S. Prosecutor: Trump-Russia Collusion 'Made Up' - Breitbart

Former Federal Prosecutor Sidney Powell believes "the entire Russia collusion narrative was made up." Powell went on to say, "The FBI and the intelligence community and the Department of Justice began an investigation against four American citizens simply because they worked for the opposition political candidate, that being Donald Trump."

Powell sees corruption, certainly. But perhaps not where the mainstream media has been looking. Instead, she believes this process has indicted both the Justice Department and the U.S. intelligence community. Specifically, the seeming willful ignorance with which evidence in certain court documents has been dismissed.

She cited a blistering "99 page opinion" from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court "in which she is taking the FBI to task for having given unlimited, unsupervised access to raw intelligence." The FBI gave three private contractors unlimited, unsupervised access to that as far back as 2015. Judge Rosemary Collyer further criticized the National Security Administration (NSA) for "widespread" infringement of American citizens' Constitutional rights. (Read more)

- Father, we pray each individual involved in violating the Constitutional rights of citizens involved in the Trump campaign, transition and administration will be held fully accountable.

- Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. (Romans 3:19)

9. New Round of US-China Trade Talks to Begin in Washington - Epoch Times

A new round of talks between the United States and China to resolve their trade war will take place in Washington on Feb. 19, with follow-up sessions at a higher level later in the week, the White House said. The talks follow a round of negotiations that ended in Beijing last week without a deal but which officials said had generated progress on contentious issues between the world's two largest economies.

The talks are aimed at "achieving needed structural changes in China that affect trade between the United States and China. The two sides will also discuss China's pledge to purchase a substantial amount of goods and services from the United States," the White House said in a statement.

The higher-level talks will start on Thursday and be led by U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, a strong proponent of pressing China to end practices that the United States says include forced technology transfers from U.S. companies and intellectual property theft. "We are hopeful that the two sides will reach a comprehensive, bold and significant trade agreement that will be enduring and long-lasting. This is the challenge for both governments." (Read more)

- Father, we pray for an agreement with China that will fully address all the unfair trade practices and national security priorities of the United States.

- The king rejoices in your strength, Lord. How great is his joy in the victories you give! (Psalm 21:1)

10. North Korea Predicts 'Major Breakthrough' at Second Trump-Kim Summit - Breitbart

An article at a North Korean government propaganda site predicted a "major breakthrough" in upcoming talks between dictator Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday. Trump is scheduled to meet with Kim on February 27 in Vietnam. The media reports this weekend and on Monday are the first official North Korean government acknowledgment the talks are happening. The state newspaper Rodong Sinmun continued to insist on Monday that the communist regime seeks "independence, peace, and friendship."

American officials have not provided any details regarding the conversation planned between the two world leaders, though they are expected to discuss ending North Korea's illegal nuclear program. Trump announced the official date for the summit, expected to last into February 28, during his State of the Union Address this month.

"As part of a bold new diplomacy, we continue our historic push for peace on the Korean Peninsula," Trump told Congress. "Our hostages have come home, nuclear testing has stopped, and there has not been a missile launch in 15 months. If I had not been elected President of the United States, we would right now, in my opinion, be in a major war with North Korea." (Read more)

- Father, without Your overflowing grace, we can do nothing. We ask You to permeate this Summit between President Trump and Kim Jong Un with Your Presence and power. We pray the whole nation of North Korea will be saved.

- Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
(Luke 10:2)

The slow-motion coup and God's ordained purpose

Breitbart News calls it a "slow-motion coup against President Trump." President Trump tweeted out Monday that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe pursued an "illegal and treasonous" plot against him, after McCabe revealed private Department of Justice discussions aimed at secretly recording and potentially removing the president. The Daily Jot has been reporting for over two years that the deep state, the media, the Democratic National Committee and both Republican and Democratic lawmakers who are part of the "establishment" and "globalist" cabal in Congress have been attempting a coup against a legally elected president. What we are watching is historic.

As reported by many news organizations, FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Strzok both were working on ways to oust Trump if he was elected. The web of coup-making continued to develop as evidenced with McCabe telling CBS News "60 Minutes" that Rosenstein suggested recording Trump and eventually using the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to drive Trump out of office. McCabe said Rosenstein told him: "I never get searched when I go into the White House. I could easily wear a recording device. They wouldn't know it was there. He was absolutely serious. And in fact, he brought it up in the next meeting we had." Page followed up relaying the details of the conversation to the FBI's general counsel James A Baker.

As the coup-makers continue their conspiracy, government watchdog Judicial Watch Tuesday filed a Freedom of Information Act "lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for all records of communication of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, the Office of the Attorney General Jeff Sessions, or the Office of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein discussing the 25th Amendment or presidential fitness. Additionally, the lawsuit seeks all recordings made by any official in the Office of the Attorney General or Deputy Attorney General of meetings in the Executive Office of the President or Vice President." Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton explained: "It is no surprise that we are facing an immense cover-up of senior FBI and DOJ leadership discussions to pursue a seditious coup against President Trump. This effort to overthrow President Trump is a fundamental threat to our constitutional republic so Judicial Watch will do everything it can in the courts to expose everything possible about this lawlessness." Indeed, it is lawlessness. It is akin to the end-time warning by Christ found in Matthew 24:12, "And because lawlessness shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." President George Washington forewarned of this very thing some 223 years ago in his farewell speech, saying such obstructions to the execution of the laws designed to direct, control, counteract or awe the constituted authorizes are destructive.

He said, "They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests." America is undergoing a slow-motion coup attempt. We, as citizens of the Kingdom of God and of this Republic must understand what we are witnessing and stand for truth outside--not inside--the walls of our churches and our homes. Our God-ordained purpose as a people and a nation are threatened by principalities of darkness. Pray, watch, pray.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Where to get accurate news

CBS News Foreign Correspondent Lara Logan recently said she was committing professional suicide by calling out the mainstream media for its liberal bias. Logan said, among other things, that news reports based on single, anonymous government sources were an abandonment of journalistic standards. She said, "That's not journalism . . . Responsibility for fake news begins with us. We bear some responsibility for that, and we're not taking ownership of that and addressing it. We just want to blame it all on somebody else." She said that the media has abandoned its pretense or at least the effort to be objective. This is nothing that we didn't already know, but it raises the question of what many want answered.

Where do you go for accurate news? This question has been raised by many Daily Jot readers. The truth of the matter is, I don't know. Most news sources that I know of are biased in some way. Some would say that Fox News is a good place to get balanced news. I quit watching Fox News years ago because of the noise it generates in the name of fair and balanced. When we see that Fox reporters are no different than the mainstream, they have become the mainstream. Yes, they have conservative commentators that might get your blood boiling, but that is not news, it is commentary. Fox News programs appear to me to be slightly better than the mainstream, but still reflect bias.

Others say Breitbart is a great place to get unbiased news. But Breitbart is also biased toward a conservative slant. You have to take care to go to the source of their articles and check them out. For example, Breitbart reported continuously about how NFL stadiums were nearly empty during games, complete with pictures of empty seats. NFL official statistics (not cited in the story) on attendance, however, showed a slight increase. Those pictures may have been taken during halftime or pregame. Breitbart also headlined that the NFL paid Colin Kaepernick upwards of $80 million in a collusion settlement. There was absolutely no sourcing to this story. It was irresponsibly based on another reporter's anonymous conversation with a "league source." These are examples that I know first hand, but there are many others I have caught over the years.

I use several sources for news. Among the best, I find, is Drudge. Drudge essentially reposts stories from all media reports. Then you need to check the sources and find other stories that report on the same topic to compare. I do the same with Breitbart. The Middle East Media Research Institute, Capitol Hill Prayer Partners, Koenig's International News are very good. I generally do not use any news site exclusively without verifying the facts from other sources. Discerning the truth takes effort. Does the point of the story match up with Biblical principles? Does more than one credible source corroborate the story? Does the story meet the "straight face" test, i.e. is it believable? Does the reporter or the sources have an agenda? These are all questions that need to be answered to find balanced reporting. Bottom line is the warning Christ gave us in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you."

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Rep. Ilhan Omar Must Resign!

Demand The Immediate Resignation of Minnesota Congresswoman
Ilhan Omar

(Please see note from CHPP at the end of this alert.)

View this urgent message from the founder of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (PJTN), Laurie Cardoza-Moore:

Go here.

Today I am emphatically calling on all PJTN "Watchmen" and all concerned Americans to join "The Million Signature March," a national petition to demand the immediate resignation of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.

Time is urgent! When news broke last week of her shameful anti-Semitic messaging, President Trump called for her to resign from her Congressional seat. Even her own Democrat colleagues echoed Speaker Nancy Pelosi's tepid call for Omar to apologize.

Fast forward to today:

Where is the follow-up outrage to demand her resignation?

Where is the investigative reporting to demand answers to why an unrepentant anti-Semite and supporter of America's enemies has been given a seat on the Foreign Relations Committee?

AND Where is Omar today. . . Laughing in the face of her detractors-including President Trump-and
still privy to the classified information in the Foreign Relations Committee.

The media has buried the story and moved on, hoping we will follow their lead! We cannot be silent in the face of an elected official who poses a threat to our very national security!

Ilhan Omar must learn that concerned Americans such as you and me stand firmly with our Jewish brethren. We must stand in solidarity to affirm that she will not be allowed to use the heart of American democracy and freedom to defame God's chosen people and God's chosen land.

Do we have valid reasons to know that she is a threat to our national security?

YES - and let me outline why:

- Omar has ties to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist fundraising operation in the history of the U.S.
- Omar is due to speak this month at a fundraising event for Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA), an affiliate of Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), the largest international Islamic charity in the world. The connections between the IRUSA, the IRW and terrorism should raise a red flag. In 1999, the IRW accepted a $50,000 check from Osama Bin Laden. In 2006, Israel arrested its project coordinator in Gaza office for funneling money to Hamas. In June 2014, Israel officially declared the organization to be illegal and banned it from operating in Israel and the Palestinian territories. In November 2014, the United Arab Emirates declared the IRW to be a terrorist group.
To add more fuel to the fire of her IRUSA speaking engagement, she will be speaking alongside senior IRUSA official Yousef Abdallah, who was widely criticized in 2017 after the Middle East Forum found he had expressed violently anti-Semitic ideas on his social media accounts.
The indication of her true politics came when she lashed out against Israel by tweeting in 2012:

"Israel has hypnotized the world. May Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel."

Rep. Ilhan Omar's anti-Semitic messaging has also brought to light her ties to several Muslim Brotherhood front groups. We are now calling on the Justice Department to launch a full and thorough investigation into this matter of national security.

WE must take action today!

Sign the petition and share the petition link and my video message within your family, friends, and social media contacts.

Our goal of one million signatures is within our reach.

Let your voice be heard and sign the petition today!

> > > To sign this petition, go here.
> > > Important note from CHPP:

As we write this to you, Laurie's link is not working to be able to sign this petition. We are praying that this is fixed soon. In the meantime, this is such a critical issue, we have chosen to release this news to you, regardless.

Please join us in asking our Lord to cover this petition with the Blood of the Lamb; to bind all retaliation against Laurie Cardoza-Moore; and to send forth His angels to keep all of us safe who are working for this cause. We also speak forgiveness to our enemies, in His name, amen.Thank you.

Classic Hymns

O HOW I LOVE JESUS

"Because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

Lyrics

There is a name I love to hear, I love to speak its worth; It sounds like music in mine ear, The sweetest name on earth.

Refrain

O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!

It tells me of a Savior's love, Who died to set me free; It tells me of His precious blood, The sinner's perfect plea.

Refrain

It tells me of a Father's smile Beaming upon His child; It cheers me through this "little while," Through desert, waste, and wild.

Refrain

It tells me what my Father hath In store for every day, And though I tread a darksome path, Yields sunshine all the way.

Refrain

It tells of One whose loving heart Can feel my deepest woe; Who in my sorrow bears a part, That none can bear below.

Refrain

It bids my trembling heart rejoice; It dries each rising tear; It tells me, in a "still small voice," To trust and never fear.

Refrain

Jesus, the name I love so well, The name I love to hear! No saint on earth its worth can tell, No heart conceive how dear.

Refrain

This name shall shed its fragrance still Along this thorny road, Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill That leads me up to God.

Refrain

And there, with all the blood-bought throng, From sin and sorrow free, I'll sing the new eternal song Of Jesus' love to me.

Refrain

Signs and Wonders

Rare L.A. mega-storm could overwhelm dam and flood dozens of cities, experts say

Scientists call it California's "other big one," and they say it could cause three times as much damage as a major earthquake ripping along the San Andreas Fault.

Although it might sound absurd to those who still recall five years of withering drought and mandatory water restrictions, researchers and engineers warn that California may be due for rain of biblical proportions - or what experts call an ARkStorm.

This rare mega-storm - which some say is rendered all the more inevitable due to climate change - would last for weeks and send more than 1.5 million people fleeing as floodwaters inundated cities and formed lakes in the Central Valley and Mojave Desert, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Officials estimate the structural and economic damage from an ARkStorm (for Atmospheric River 1,000) would amount to more than $725 billion statewide.

In heavily populated areas of the Los Angeles Basin, epic runoff from the San Gabriel Mountains could rapidly overwhelm a flood control dam on the San Gabriel river and unleash floodwaters from Pico Rivera to Long Beach, says a recent analysis by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Shaunti Feldhahn received her research training at Harvard. She and her husband Jeff help people with their marriages and relationships through best-selling books like, For Women Only and For Men Only.

This Atlanta-based couple often quoted in their writings and at conferences what they thought was accurate research: that most marriages are unhappy and 50 percent of them end in divorce, even in the Church.

"I didn't know," Feldhahn told CBN News. "I've stood up on stage and said every one of these wrong statistics."

More than ten years ago, she asked assistant Tally Whitehead for specific research on divorce for an article she was writing. After much digging, neither of them could find any real numbers.

That kicked off a personal, years-long crusade to dig through the tremendously complicated, sometimes contradictory research to find the truth. The surprising revelations are revealed in her new book, The Good News About Marriage.

The Real Divorce Rate

"First-time marriages: probably 20 to 25 percent have ended in divorce on average," Feldhahn revealed. "Now, okay, that's still too high, but it's a whole lot better than what people think it is."

Shaunti and Jeff point out the 50 percent figure came from projections of what researchers thought the divorce rate would become as they watched the divorce numbers rising in the 1970s and early 1980s when states around the nation were passing no-fault divorce laws.

"But the divorce rate has been dropping," Feldhahn said. "We've never hit those numbers. We've never gotten close."

And it's even lower among churchgoers, where a couple's chance of divorcing is more likely in the single digits or teens.

Anthony Hamilton - National Anthem

Singer-songwriter Anthony Hamilton mesmerized the crowd Sunday night with a rendition of the national anthem before the NBA All-Star Game, a performance that had many drawing comparisons to last years' much-derided performance by Fergie.

Hamilton's performance immediately drew comparisons to what many - until now - regarded as the greatest rendition of the National Anthem: Marvin Gaye during the 1983 NBA All-Star Game.

The 48-year-old Charlotte, N.C. native is perhaps best known for his 2003 album "Comin' Where I'm From."

Hamilton's National Anthem was immediately praised on social media and evoked references to Fergie's performance last year - in which several NBA players were noticeably laughing.

"They went from Fergie's missed notes to Anthony Hamilton, who has never missed a note in his life," wrote one Twitter user. (Fox News)

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
