"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
(Ephesians 3:14-21)

Focus on Israel

1. Pompeo accepted almost all Netanyahu's requests, senior Israeli official says - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had almost all of his requests accepted during his meeting in Brazil with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a senior Israeli diplomatic official said Wednesday.

Netanyahu met Pompeo in the capital Brasilia, where the Israeli premier was on an official visit, and both men later attended the inauguration of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

Pompeo assured Netanyahu during the meeting that the planned withdrawal of US ground forces from Syria will not alter Washington's commitment to countering Iranian aggression and maintaining Israel's security.

2. Ya'alon's new party - Telem - Israel National News

Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon on Wednesday submitted a request to register a new party with the party registrar. The party will be called Telem, an acronym in Hebrew for "National Statesmanlike Movement".

After submitting the request, Ya'alon said, "This is a festive day, an exciting day for the citizens of Israel, a day of hope mixed with tremendous responsibility for me and my supporters."

"I have devoted my entire life to ensuring the existence and security of the State of Israel. I served the State of Israel in an IDF uniform and in civilian life at anytime, anywhere and on any mission, along the country's borders and even beyond them, always at the head of the force, from soldier to Chief of Staff, in combat command roles always at the forefront of the IDF's operational activity, and later as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Strategic Affairs, as Minister of Defense and as a member of the Political Security Cabinet," Ya'alon said.

3. Kissing UNESCO Goodbye - Jerusalem Online

"UNESCO is an organization that continually rewrites history by erasing the Jewish connection with Jerusalem," said Israeli ambassador to the UN Danny Danon. "It is corrupt and manipulated by Israel's enemies and continuously separates the only Jewish state to condemn it. We are not going to be members of an organization that deliberately acts against us," he said.

Israel announced its withdrawal from UNESCO in October 2017, a few days after the US Administration did so.

On October 2017, the US Administration said it was withdrawing from UNESCO, among other things because of its "anti-Israeli bias". A few hours later, Netanyahu also announced the departure of Israel and described the Trump Administration's measure as "courageous and moral because UNESCO has become a theater of the absurd and because instead of preserving history, it distorts it" and both countries demand reforms in the agency.

4. Hamas, Fatah Tensions Rise; Accuse Each Other of Collaborating With Israel - Jerusalem Post

Tensions between Hamas and Fatah have intensified in the past few days as the two Palestinian rival parties continue to exchange allegations and insults.

Now, Hamas and Fatah are accusing each other of being "spies" for Israel.

The tensions reached their peak earlier this week, when Fatah accused Hamas of detaining 500 of its men in the Gaza Strip. The detentions, according to Fatah, were aimed at thwarting plans to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the launching of Fatah's first attacks against Israel. Fatah was planning to mark the occasion by holding several rallies throughout the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

According to Fatah, dozens of the men who were detained by Hamas were subjected to various forms of physical torture. Hamas security officers also raided the homes of scores of Fatah officials and activists, confiscating material and equipment that was supposed to be used during the Fatah rallies.

5. Honduras signals readiness to move embassy to Jerusalem - World Israel News

Israel and Honduras have agreed to proceed with a plan to open embassies in Jerusalem and Tegucigalpa. The commitment is made in a joint statement on behalf of the two countries and the U.S.

Issued by the U.S. State Department, the announcement says that the three countries have "agreed to pursue a plan of action, which includes meetings in their three respective capitals to advance the process of the decision to open embassies in both Tegucigalpa and Jerusalem."

The three-way agreement was announced as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. All three were in Brasilia for the inauguration of President Jair Bolsonaro on Tuesday.

The Daily Brief

1. 11 Incoming Democrats Who 'Cannot Wait to Kick Some Trump **'- Breitbart

When the 116th Congress convenes on Thursday, many of the newly elected members are bringing an anti-Trump agenda and the goal of fundamentally transforming America even farther to the left than Barack Obama tried to accomplish in his eight years in office.

Here are 11 Democrats who were elected in the 2018 midterm elections on promises to resist President Donald Trump's efforts to keep his campaign promises, from replacing Obamacare to building a wall on the United States border with Mexico to extracting the country from harmful trade and climate change agreements.

- Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) is one of two Muslim women who will be serving in the House for the next two years. "This is the time that we get to vote out hate, and the way we do it is by electing people like us into places where we make decisions right now, to push back," then-candidate Rashida Tlaib, said in a Detroit News article published ahead of the midterms. "I cannot wait to kick some Trump *** when I get to Congress," said Tlaib, who is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), also a Democratic Socialist, has been in the headlines since she won a seat in the House because of her sometimes outlandish remarks and leftist agenda. The Atlantic reported on Ocasio-Cortez' speech in December at a Sen. Bernie Sanders' town hall about her Green New Deal to fight climate change. (Read more)

- Lord, this is egregious that all of these people were elected not for the American people, but for their own agenda against the President. Your Word promises that every knee shall bow, so we ask for Your power to move over the Congress, bringing truth and repentance to all.

- "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled." (Titus 1 :15)

2. The man who could impeach Trump: Nancy Pelosi hires new top lawyer - Washington Examiner

Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has picked a new guiding force for Democrats investigating and potentially impeaching President Trump when they take control of the House next year. Douglas Letter, a 40-year veteran of the Justice Department and former associate counsel in President Bill Clinton's White House, will be appointed to the role of House general counsel, Pelosi said in a statement.

"Douglas Letter has an outstanding and highly decorated record of achievement in service of America," Pelosi said. "He will bring deep experience and legal expertise to the House, as he counsels and represents our institution, Members and staff as House General Counsel."

Letter, 65, served as director of the Justice Department's Civil Division appellate staff up until February - a departure that was facilitated, sources told NPR, because of Trump's constant criticisms of the DOJ.

He wrote in September it was "worrying" that Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani had suggested the use of executive privilege to bury Mueller's report at the conclusion of his investigation. He said this assertion seemed "premature and misplaced."

Letter's long career for the DOJ included roles such as deputy associate attorney general under former Attorney General Janet Reno, and senior counselor to former Attorney General Eric Holder. His decades of service, which included working on cases such as Obergefell v. Hodges, the 2015 landmark case which legalized gay marriage, was praised by the likes of Holder and Benjamin Wittes, editor-in-chief of Lawfare and friend to ex-FBI Director James Comey. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You will surround the President with Your protection and mercy. Let nothing outside of Your perfect will be accomplished.

"He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." (Psalm 91:15)

3. Former NY Times editor rips Trump coverage as biased - Fox News

A former executive editor of the New York Times says the paper's news pages, the home of its straight-news coverage, have become "unmistakably anti-Trump." Jill Abramson, the veteran journalist who led the newspaper from 2011 to 2014, says the Times has a financial incentive to bash the president and that the imbalance is helping to erode its credibility.

In a soon-to-be published book, "Merchants of Truth," that casts a skeptical eye on the news business, Abramson defends the Times in some ways but offers some harsh words for her successor, Dean Baquet. And Abramson, who was the paper's only female executive editor until her firing, invoked Steve Bannon's slam that in the Trump era the mainstream media have become the "opposition party."(Read more)

- Father, thank You for this truth revealed. We pray that the entire news media would be brought to their knees in repentance.

- "For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." (2 Corinthians 7:10)

4. Dossier fails the test of time; Trump-Russia collusion claims now called 'likely false' - Washington Times

Yahoo News' Michael Isikoff, an early public conduit for Christopher Steele's anti-Trump dossier, now says the former British spy's sensational Russia collusion charges lack apparent evidence and are "likely false." As Election Day loomed in September 2016, Mr. Isikoff was the first Washington journalist to write about Mr. Steele's memos. He focused on Mr. Steele's contention that Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page met with nefarious operatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin during a publicly announced trip to Moscow in July 2016.

As reported by the Daily Caller, Mr. Isikoff this month told Mediaite columnist John Ziegler: "When you actually get into the details of the Steele dossier, the specific allegations, we have not seen the evidence to support them, and in fact, there is good grounds to think that some of the more sensational allegations will never be proven and are likely false."

Mr. Isikoff is best friends with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, who hired Mr. Steele in May and June 2016 with money funneled through a law firm from the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Mr. Isikoff was one of a handful of mainstream journalists who met with Mr. Steele in Washington as arranged by Mr. Simpson.(Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You will fully and completely obliterate this collusion lie.

- "Therefore I hate every false way." (Psalm 119:104b)

5. The federal courts have shut down our ENTIRE government - Conservative Review

Amid the imbroglio over a partial furloughing of nonessential workers in a handful of federal departments, the political class has ignored that the government has already been shut down - in full and permanently. Individual district judges now control our national sovereignty, border policy, and every other political question. And now Chief Justice John Roberts has essentially barred the doors of the Supreme Court shut to any judicial redress of this judicial crisis.

Just as reporters were going offline last Friday for the Christmas holiday, the Supreme Court announced that it had denied the government's request to overturn a universal injunction on Trump's commonsense asylum policy directing the flow of "asylum requests" to our points of entry. Northern California District Judge Jon Tigar and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals violated all rules of standing, 200 years of precedent, and John Roberts' own recent opinion on presidential power to regulate or exclude entry into the country, yet Roberts refused to join the four conservatives in summarily staying the injunction.

In once again allowing the lower courts to reign freely, Roberts is not only perpetuating the shutdown of our border but the shutdown of the Supreme Court itself. What is the purpose of the Supreme Court if it only encroaches on the powers of the other branches but won't police its own inferior courts when they violate all legal norms? Let's review the unprecedented insanity of this case: (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for a breakthrough in the courts to protect Americans. We rebuke the spirit of division in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

- "Then the Lord raised up judges who delivered them out of the hand of those who plundered them." (Judges 2:16)

6. Cuomo grants clemency to 29 convicts, including murderers - New York Post

Gov. Cuomo granted clemency to 29 convicts Monday - including four serving lengthy sentences for murder. Twenty-two of the inmates won pardons, including several immigrants convicted of drug crimes who were facing possible deportation. Nine others had their sentences commuted, four for murder and three for armed robbery.

"These actions will help keep immigrant families together and take a critical step toward a more just, more fair and more compassionate New York," the governor said in a statement.

The convicted murderers had all served between 20 and 33 years and had committed the crimes in their teens. Alphonso Riley-James and Roy Bolus, both 49, were were part of a group involved in a drug deal in Albany that went bad and left two men dead. But neither inmate was accused of causing the deaths, Cuomo said, and both have served 30 years of a potential life sentences. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for the safety of all in New York after this action. We ask that You touch these men with Your Spirit and convert their hearts.

- "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes."
(Ezekiel 36:27a)

7. Cleveland Clinic fires resident after online threat to give Jews 'wrong meds' surfaces - Fox News

A Cleveland hospital has fired a resident after anti-Semitic comments and threats to give the Jewish people "the wrong meds" surfaced on social media. Lara Kollab was identified as the fired employee behind the comments. She worked as a supervised resident at the Cleveland Clinic from July to September, Cleveland.com reported.

"She is no longer working at Cleveland Clinic. In no way do these beliefs reflect those of our organization. We fully embrace diversity, inclusion and a culture of safety and respect across our entire health system," the Cleveland Clinic said in a statement posted online.

Kollab's anti-Semitic comments were first documented by Canary Mission, a group that examines social media accounts to find anti-Semitic and anti-Israel remarks. Among the comments were threats to mistreat Jewish patients. "Hahha ewww.. I'll purposely give all the [Jews] the wrong meds," she wrote in a 2012 tweet. In multiple other posts on Twitter, she called for violence against the Jewish people, called them "dogs," compared them to the Nazis, and minimized the Holocaust.

"Look, Haifa is sweet (nice), but it's full of Jewish dogs, and it looks like America, meaning, it wasn't that special to me," Kollab once wrote, according to the website's translation. (Read more)

- Father, we take authority over this hatred of Your people and bind it in the Name of Jesus. We pray that You will change this woman's heart.

- "I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you." (Genesis 1:3)

8. 2018 Saw a Global Revolt Against Climate Change Policies - Daily Caller

Despite increasingly apocalyptic warnings from U.N. officials, 2018 has seen a number of high-profile defeats for policies aimed at fighting global warming. Politicians and voters pushed back at attempts to raise energy prices as part of the climate crusade.

It started in June with election of Ontario Premier Doug Ford. Ontario residents overwhelmingly voted Ford's conservative coalition into power on a platform that included axing the Canadian province's cap-and-trade program.

Ford said his first priority upon taking office would be to "cancel the Liberal cap-and-trade carbon tax." Ford then joined a legal challenge led by Saskatchewan against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's policy of a central government-imposed carbon tax on provinces that don't have their own.

Carbon tax opponents called Trudeau's plan an attempt to "use the new tax to further redistribute income, which will increase the costs of this tax to the economy." Roughly ten thousand miles away in Australia another revolt was brewing. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull saw his power base crumble within days of failing to pass a bill aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions. (Read more)

- Lord, the "climate change" agenda was to control the people and governments, and is ruthlessly expensive. We pray for Your protection for America against these plans.

- "A false witness shall perish." (Proverbs 21:28a)

9. U.S. and Israel officially quit UN cultural agency - YNET

The United States and Israel officially quit the UN's educational, scientific and cultural agency at the stroke of midnight, the culmination of a process triggered more than a year ago amid concerns that the organization fosters anti-Israel bias.

The withdrawal is mainly procedural yet serves a new blow to UNESCO, co-founded by the U.S. after World War II to foster peace.

The Trump administration filed its notice to withdraw in October 2017 and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu followed suit.

The Paris-based organization has been denounced by its critics as a crucible for anti-Israel bias: blasted for criticizing Israel's capture of East Jerusalem in the 1967 Six-Day War, naming ancient Jewish sites as Palestinian heritage sites and granting full membership to the Palestinians in 2011.

The U.S. has demanded "fundamental reform" in the agency that is best known for its World Heritage program to protect cultural sites and traditions. UNESCO also works to improve education for girls, promote understanding of the Holocaust's horrors, and to defend media freedom. (Read more)

- Lord, Thank You for this withdrawal. We pray that You will reveal truth to the UN and block every action against Your people.

- "And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him."
(Malachi 3:17b)

10. China's Xi Threatens Taiwan With Force But Also Seeks Peaceful 'Reunification' - OANN

China reserves the right to use force to bring Taiwan under its control but will strive to achieve peaceful "reunification" with the self-ruled island that has a bright future under any future Chinese rule, President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday.

Taiwan is China's most sensitive issue and is claimed by Beijing as its sacred territory. Xi has stepped up pressure on the democratic island since Tsai Ing-wen from the pro-independence Democratic Progressive Party became president in 2016. (Read more)

- Lord, the US has stood with Taiwan for decades, so this is a dangerous situation. We ask that You prevent China from any action that would harm the Taiwanese people.

- "You are my hiding place, You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with sons of deliverance." (Psalm 32:7)

2019: Disruption Ahead

All indicators point to 2019 being a year of political, social and economic disruption in America. The coup of the Republic that began with the 2010 elections will continue to become more hostile in 2019, dividing Americans and causing uncertainty in the country. The game plan of the coup-makers is evident: they will attempt to disrupt government and society with brash accusations, labeling, propaganda posing as news, calls for impeachment, and ongoing "investigations" where every little detail will be broadcast as if it were the last nail in the political coffin. The landscape for Christians and Jews in America will become more perilous as freedom of religion and of speech will face ongoing challenges.

Take, for instance, a Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released "exclusively to The Hill" that indicated some 60% of US voters surveyed say that President Trump should be either impeached and removed from office or formally censured. The poll has many flaws, yet it was promoted by the coup-makers as larger than life. First, only 39% of the respondents said Trump should be impeached or removed from office. Those saying Trump should be censured were "between 14 and 22 percentage" as reported by The Hill. Adding the two results together brings the number to "nearly 60%." These are the same pollsters who predicted Hillary Clinton to win the presidency. They skew their sampling toward left-leaning voters.

Elizabeth Drew, "a political journalist who for many years covered Washington for The New Yorker," wrote a column for The New York Times in which she cited more criminal investigations of Trump colleagues and increasing pressure by the public, making impeachment of Trump "inescapable." Of course, she didn't mention that the criminal charges against Trump's associates had nothing to do with the Russians influencing the 2016 election, or that polls show far less than a plurality that the public believes Trump should be impeached. See how these stories get twisted? NBC News produced the headline "Democrats quest to topple Trump gets real in January, here's why."

The Hill carried an article by former moderate New York Republican Congressman John Le Boutillier predicting 30 items of political disruption in 2019, the first being Trump's presidency will not survive. The stories will keep coming until either the American public rejects or gives in to the coup mantra. Meantime, every social and political concept of what is good and right will come under constant attack. You will need to be discerning, wise and courageous to withstand this onslaught. Ephesians 6 tells us we fight against the principalities of the rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. Verse 11 exhorts: "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." It says to stand with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and prayer, speaking boldly as you ought to speak. May we do so.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

House to Vote on 3 Pro-Death Bills

House to Vote Today on 3 Pro-Death Bills

Vote to be Taken Today, on the first day of the new session.

On December 31, 2018, House Appropriations Chairman-designate Nita Lowey (D-NY) released appropriations legislation entitled, "Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019." The bill includes funding for six appropriations bills: Agriculture; Commerce, Justice, Science; Financial Services; Interior; State, Foreign Operations; and Transportation. It also includes a Continuing Resolution that funds the Department of Homeland Security through February 8, 2019.

According to an Appropriations Committee press release, the legislation is expected to be considered in the House on January 3, 2019.

1. Section 7071(a): The bill repeals Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance (PLGHA) (expanded Mexico City Policy) (pg. 1021-1022)

- PLGHA requires foreign nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to agree, as a condition of their receipt of global health assistance grant money, not to perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning.

- Reinstated and modernized by President Trump, the policy now applies to all global health programs (nearly $9 billion). If NGOs choose to stop doing abortions, they can remain eligible for federal grant money. The choice has been up to the NGO - either change business practices or forego funding from the United States.

2. Section 7071(b): The bill appropriates not less than $37.5 million for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) (pg. 1022-1023)

- This represents a $5 million funding increase for UNFPA (from $32.5 million in current law to a minimum of $37.5 million). - Members have opposed funding UNFPA because of its involvement in China's birth limitation policy, which relies on forced or coerced abortion.

3. Section 7058(a): the bill appropriates not less than $595 million for family planning/reproductive health programs (pg. 986)

- This represents an increase of $20 million (from $575 million in current law to a minimum of $595 million)

- Even if the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance remains in place, this funding stream can support domestically-based NGOs that support the global abortion industry. By setting a minimum funding level of $595 million, the bill would effectively allow unlimited spending in this area.

- Father God, we are grieved to learn that one of the first acts of this new session of Congress will be to vote on these three bills: legislation that reverses the work of President Trump, who supports life, and which will place the lives of the unborn in danger. Father, forgive them. Have mercy, O Lord, we pray, amen.

- "If you do not listen, I will weep in secret because of your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly, overflowing with tears, because the LORD's flock will be taken captive." (Jeremiah 13:17)

Our Mandate

Our Mandate

The Lord Himself directs us how -- and why -- to pray FOR ALL those in authority:
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
(I Timothy 2:1-4)

Hence, we welcome all members to the Hill today, knowing that it is our mighty and wonderful God who has brought them to us, so that . . . in the case of those whose actions and beliefs clearly demonstrate that they do not yet know Him as Savior, we might partner with our Lord in prayer, beseeching Him to do so. Thank you.

Guidelines for Spiritual Warfare from the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Network

Unless the Lord builds the house,They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. (Psalm 127:1)

INTRODUCTION:

As we contemplate the scripture above, we acknowledge that what man builds without God's blessing eventually fails, and that without Him, we have no power to guard or protect ourselves or our nation! As intercessors, we seek God's heart for what He desires, for and from the United States, and then we pray into what we have heard! We do not let our guard down. We remain on the wall, WATCHING and PRAYING . . . continually seeking the deliverance and destiny of our nation and her people!

We have set aside these first three days of January to fast and pray for our US Congress. We now go before the Lord together to intercede for the members of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

"Our Father in heaven, we come before You today and hallow your name. We long to see Your Kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth, here in the United States, as it is in heaven. We humbly confess and acknowledge that we have sinned against You, Lord, in thought, word and deed, and ask for Your forgiveness, for all of our individual sins and for the sins of our nation against You. Through Your great compassion, will You grant the grace necessary for our nation at this critical hour? Set our legislators free from the bonds of evil. Allow them to serve You and rule with justice and righteousness that will bring healing to our land. Let us fulfill our destiny in You, and let us bring GLORY to Your Name once again! Amen! "

We pray:
- That God will intervene in each of their lives, free them from the oppression holding them captive and bring them into alignment with Him.

- For the day that we will once again see our Congress become a house of prayer, as it was during the time of our Founding Fathers!

- That all evil spirits being brought in through the individual legislators, and those who serve on their staffs, will be bound and rendered powerless to operate on Capitol Hill!

- That a spirit of grace will be loosed that will enable the individual legislators to identify the demonic forces who are trying to infiltrate and control our government and then refuse to cooperate with them.

- As the House leadership passes from Republicans to Democrats today, we look for the grip of darkness on the lives of our Representatives to be bound and broken, so that they will no longer RESIST God or righteousness. We bless our Congressmen and women to be free to move courageously, by the power of the Spirit, and to move responsibly to enact laws that will bless and benefit our nation!

> > > Please note: the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Network will host one more conference call tonight, with a focus on intercession for the new Congress that has been sworn into office today.

Our Closing Prayer . . . for You!
