TIME TO BUILD THE WALL

TIME TO BUILD THE WALL

President Trump Asks our Help to Mobilize Support to Build the Wall!

Dear Friends,

During a nationwide conference call, held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., President Donald Trump spoke to a gathering of 300 local ministry leaders, law enforcement personnel, and activists with one goal in mind: to ask us to help him move Congress to support building the wall on our southern border.

At Capitol Hill Prayer Partners, we agree that this wall must be built, in order to put an end to the humanitarian and national security crises that our nation now faces on our southern border.

Below, please find two suggestions to help you contact your own Senators and Congressman in this effort.
1) Try calling your member directly in his office on Capitol Hill.

The US Capitol Switchboard number is (202) 224-3121. Ask for your State Senator or Representative.

2) Often, it is not possible to actually speak to a staffer in the member's offices on Capitol Hill. (You either are asked by an automatic answering machine to call back later, or the phone is not answered.)
In that case: PLEASE GO TO PLAN B -- Your own District office
Every member of Congress and the Senate also maintains (usually more than one) offices in your own district or state. These offices are fully staffed and available every day to help meet the needs of constituents. You can find the phone number of your own constituent office by looking for your member's name online, and go to his or her website, where the phone number is posted.
Suggested script:

(After staffer answers your call):

"Hello, my name is (xxx) and I am trying to get a message to Senator/Congressman (xxx). I am not able to get through to his/her office in Washington, so may I leave my message with you, instead?"

"Sure, we will be happy to help you. What is your message, please?"

> > > Simply state that you are calling to urge your member to vote to pass the bill that the President has endorsed, releasing the funds to build the wall and thereby to cancel the shutdown. Firmly emphasize that this wall must be built!

(We suggest we keep your message short and to the point, rather than going into any detail. Staffers are busy people, so the shorter -- and more polite -- you can keep your call, the better.)
As you finish your call, please say "thank you for your time," and hang up.
> > > Finally, we ask all of you to pass this rallying cry to all of your own friends or networks, so that we can rise up in UNITY to DEMAND THAT THIS WALL BE BUILT.
Thank you.

In His Grace,

Focus on Israel

1. Likud Central Committee approves Netanyahu's proposal - Israel National News

The Likud Central Committee on Tuesday evening approved Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's proposal regarding the make-up of the party's list for the 21st Knesset.

Netanyahu's proposal, which provoked unrest among some of the members, won the support of 63 percent of the participants in the vote.

The voter turnout in the secret ballot was 42.5 percent of the members of the Central Committee who had the right to vote. The polling stations closed at 10:00 p.m. Israel time.

According to the proposal, the Likud's current Knesset members will be able to compete for only 21 realistic spots on the party's list for the 21st Knesset.

2. Netanyahu: Get out Or Be Bombed - Jerusalem Online

Israel has broken with its previous policy of ambiguity, and is today saying forthrightly that it has attacked Iranian targets in Syria, and will do so again.

Just days after Israeli officials acknowledged bombing an Iranian weapons storage facility in Damascus, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Iranians to "get out of there quickly, because we will continue our offensive policy as we promised, and will do so without fear and without pause."

Netanyahu was speaking at the ceremony for the transfer of power from outgoing IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot to his successor, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi.

3. UN chief: Two-state solution is the 'only path to peace' - Israel Hayom

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and stressed again that a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the only path to peace, the U.N. reported Tuesday.

Guterres' strong backing for an independent Palestinian state came ahead of the release of a long-awaited U.S. plan for Israeli-Palestinian peace and the Israeli Knesset election on April 9.

U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric says Guterres also congratulated Abbas during Monday's meeting on the election of the Palestinians to preside over the Group of 77, a bloc of 134 mainly developing nations and China that promotes their collective interests at the United Nations. Abbas will take over the chairmanship from Egypt on Tuesday.

4. Changing of the Guard at the IDF: New Chief of Staff Kochavi Officially Assumes Role - Algemeiner

New IDF chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, officially entered the role on Tuesday at an installation ceremony at the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv. Kochavi was met by an honor guard and then taken to a welcoming event where he was toasted by the participants, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Afterward, he led his first General Staff meeting.

"The national home that was founded here is an unmatched marvel in the history of the nations," Kochavi said. "In order to protect this home, a clear vision is needed, an able military force, the willingness to use it, judgment and determination; in this spirit we shall act."

5. New threat from Gaza: Landfills and sewage build up along Israeli border - YNET News

Due to the dire economic situation in Gaza, the wastewater plant cannot undergo the needed treatments, prompting Palestinians living in the northern neighborhoods of the Strip-Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia-to drain sewage into Nahal Hanun, which crosses Israel and empties into the sea, polluting the groundwater in the process.

In order to stop wastewater flow and reduce the environmental damage, the Water Authority has recently set up a pumping station near the Erez border crossing, which effectively made Israel responsible for water purification of the northern Gaza Strip. Before the Israeli intervention, the moshavim and kibbutzim near the border-Netiv HaAsara, Erez, Yad Mordechai, and Zikim-suffered from a continuous onslaught of mosquitoes and flies.

"The dangerous thing is that the Palestinians in Gaza pump water from water wells in an uncontrolled manner, polluting the groundwater we use," said David Rosenberg, director of infrastructure and water in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. "They do not have the knowledge and the tools to pump groundwater . . . and any drilling only results in salinity of the water. The environmental damage that's being done is tremendous."

The Daily Brief

1. Trump Reaffirms Support For Wall In Conference Call: 'We're Going To Win'- Daily Caller

President Donald Trump reassured state and local leaders during a briefing call on border security Tuesday that he is not planning on backing down on his demands for border wall funding. A source on the phone call told The Daily Caller that the president came on the line after Department of Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to soothe participants' fears about the partial government shutdown.

"We're not going back until the Democrats do what they know they have to do," the president said on the Tuesday afternoon conference call. "Stay together - we're going to win."

The shutdown has now entered its fourth week as Trump is demanding $5.7 billion in border wall funding. Democrats have only offered $1.6 billion for border security and nothing for the wall. The president has repeatedly suggested that if Congress is unable to reach a deal, he will declare a national emergency on the southern border and have the military build the wall. (Read more)

- Father, we were blessed and honored to have been invited to participate in this nationwide conference call, from the Oval Office. We come into agreement with President Trump and declare victory for border wall funding. We pray he will no longer be hindered by Congress or the federal courts.

Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: "The Lord's right hand has done mighty things! (Psalm 118:15)

2. I'm A Senior Trump Official, And I Hope A Long Shutdown Smokes Out The Resistance - Daily Caller

As one of the senior officials working without a paycheck, a few words of advice for the president's next move at shuttered government agencies: lock the doors, sell the furniture, and cut them down.

On an average day, roughly 15 percent of the employees around me are exceptional patriots serving their country. I wish I could give competitive salaries to them and no one else. Most of my career colleagues actively work against the president's agenda. This means I typically spend about 15 percent of my time on the president's agenda and 85 percent of my time trying to stop sabotage, and we have no power to get rid of them. Until the shutdown.

The president's instincts are right. Most Americans will not miss non-essential government functions. A referendum to end government plunder must happen. Wasteful government agencies are fighting for relevance but they will lose. Now is the time to deliver historic change by cutting them down forever. (Read more)

- Father, we ask You to supernaturally move on behalf of our nation and pray each and every unnecessary or insurgent federal employee will be removed, in Jesus Name, Amen.

No longer will the fool be called noble nor the scoundrel be highly respected. (Isaiah 32:5)

3. Fed Union Sues U.S. Government Over Shutdown - Free Beacon

The National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), which represents workers in the IRS and Customs and Border Protection among others, is suing the federal government alleging that its members should not be forced to work without pay.

The labor group filed two suits alleging that the United States has violated both federal labor law and the Constitution by bringing the 800,000 federal employees deemed essential into work without their normal pay during the government shutdown, which is now entering its 23rd day as Democrats battle President Donald Trump over funding for a border wall with Mexico.

NTEU Attorney Gregory O'Duden said the lawsuits should send a signal to all politicians. Regardless of who is to blame for a shutdown, the liberal interpretations of "essential employees" are used as a smokescreen to cover up the harm that the stalemates cause for workers who show up at the office knowing that it could be weeks until they are paid for their labor. Private sector companies that engaged in such behavior would face stiff penalties from the very regulators who are working unpaid during the shutdown. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for Your will to be done in this case.

You shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly. (Leviticus 19:15)

4. Human Trafficking Reaches 'Horrific' New Heights, Declares U.N. Report - NPR

Human trafficking has taken on "horrific" dimensions, according to the 2018 Global Report on Trafficking in Persons released this month by the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Nearly 25,000 cases of human trafficking were reported to UNODC in 2016, up from approximately 20,000 in 2014 and 17,000 in 2013.

The report, which looked at data from 142 countries between 2014 and 2016, points to two particularly disturbing trends, says Angela Me, chief of the research and trend team at UNODC. The first is the increasing number of girls forced into trafficking, most frequently for sexual exploitation. The other is the growing prevalence of trafficking as a tool of war.

Sexual exploitation remains the most common form of human trafficking, at 59 percent of all victims, says Me. But there are many other types of exploitation. Forced labor is the second most prevalent form of trafficking, at 34 percent overall and 82 percent for men, with the greatest prevalence in southern, east and west Africa, and the countries of the Middle East. Between 5 and 10 percent of all kidney and liver donations worldwide [are] derived from trafficking. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for these captives to be set free, with both them and their captors coming to salvation through Your Son, Jesus.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18)

5. Pentagon extends mission to Mexico border through September - Reuters

The U.S. military will extend a mission to support security along the U.S. border with Mexico through Sept. 30, the Pentagon said on Monday. Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan approved the extension in response to a request from the Homeland Security Department, the Pentagon said in a statement. There are about 2,350 troops assigned to the border mission. The deployment had previously been authorized through Jan. 31 by former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis.

The Pentagon said it was "transitioning its support at the southwestern border from hardening ports of entry to mobile surveillance and detection, as well as concertina wire emplacement between ports of entry." It said it would continue to provide aviation support. (Read more)
- Father, we pray our troops will be effective in their mission to harden our border defenses and protect the American people.

Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your promise.(Psalm 119:154)

6. 'Gang of 20' emerges in Senate to push for a border wall deal - Washington Examiner

Senate lawmakers have formed a new bipartisan "gang" to try to resolve the impasse over border wall funding that has caused the longest government shutdown in history. The group includes 20 Senate lawmakers - 10 Republicans and 10 Democrats - according to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. Cornyn is not in the gang but is a member of the GOP leadership team and has been briefed on the discussions so far.

"My hypothesis is when federal employees start missing their paychecks, that changes the picture," Cornyn said. "A lot more Senate Democrats are under pressure. If people start breaking off, maybe there is a chance to end the impasse."

House Democrats on Tuesday will offer a bill to fund government operations until Feb. 1. On Thursday, they'll take up another measure that would fund the government until Feb. 28. But Republicans are expected to hold firm against these ideas because they don't address the border wall. (Read more)
- Father, we pray Your will to be done for our nation. We ask You to inspire a solution at the right time for our nation's safety and security that our leaders will agree upon.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:9b-10)

7. Hundreds of Hondurans Set Off Toward United States in New Caravan - Free Beacon

Hundreds of Honduran migrants began the long trek north on Monday, part of new U.S.-bound caravan that hopes to succeed even as a previous wave of Central Americans were unable to quickly enter the United States.

Television footage on Monday showed several hundred people in the violent city of San Pedro Sula huddled together and waving Honduran flags as they began a journey that will likely take weeks or even months to reach the U.S.- Mexico border.

Between 600 and 800 Hondurans have joined the caravan, according to an estimate provided by Miroslava Serpas, head of migrant affairs with the CIPRODEH human rights research center that is accompanying the group. Trump has repeatedly vowed to stop the Central American caravans, sending troops to reinforce the border and describing the migrants as an invading force. (Read more)
- Father, we lift up the people in Mexico, Central and South America and pray they will have safety, stability and opportunity within their own nations. We ask You to rebuke the enemy for their sake and give them Your Peace.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

8. AG Nominee William Barr: 'Vitally Important' for Mueller to Complete His Investigation - Free Beacon

William Barr, President Donald Trump's nominee for attorney general, said on Tuesday during his confirmation hearing that it is "vitally important" special counsel Robert Mueller be allowed to conclude his Russia probe. Barr said he will not interfere with the special counsel investigation and that the country needs a credible resolution to the issue.

If confirmed, Barr will have oversight over Mueller's investigation, a fact that has raised concerns among some Democrats because of a memo Barr wrote about the Mueller investigation. In a 19-page memo, Barr wrote that Trump's publicly reported interactions with former FBI Director James Comey do not constitute obstruction of justice. Barr, if confirmed, would replace former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

"I also believe it is very important that the public and Congress be informed of the results of the special counsel's work. My goal will be to provide as much transparency as I can, consistent with the law. I can assure you, that where judgements are to be made, I will make those judgments based solely on the law," Barr said. (Read more)
- Father, we ask for Your approval of this nominee, William Barr. Only You truly know his heart and if he intends to serve the American people with true justice and fairness. We ask for Your perfect will to be done regarding his nomination.

For God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)

9. British Prime Minister Theresa May suffers devastating defeat on key Brexit vote - Fox News

British Prime Minister Theresa May suffered a crushing defeat Tuesday as Parliament overwhelmingly rejected her Brexit deal with the European Union -- a defeat that places the future of Brexit in doubt and intensified calls for May's ouster via a general election. May's withdrawal agreement was voted down 432-202, the largest defeat for a prime minister in the history of the House of Commons.

Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the opposition Labour Party, immediately tabled a motion of no-confidence in the government, which is likely to be debated on Wednesday. Should that pass, it could eventually lead to a snap general election if another government is not formed within two weeks.

Those on the right of the Tory Party have downplayed the risks of no deal, noting that Britain would revert to normal World Trade Organization terms and the benefits of leaving the E.U. would outweigh any difficulties. "Cutting the costs of imports from outside the E.U., making our economy more competitive, is going to be extremely beneficial," Jacob Rees Mogg told the BBC. "All the gloomsters, the prophets of doom, are the people who prophesied doom before and they've been wrong in all their earlier forecasts." (Read more)
- Father, the people of Britain have cried out for freedom and we know You have heard them. For the sake of Your faithful ones, we ask You to deliver them from those who would keep them in bondage.

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. (Malachi 3:16)

10. One American among at least 15 dead in Kenya hotel terror attack - Fox News

An American citizen was one of at least 15 people killed Tuesday when militants from the Somalia-based extremist group al-Shabab attacked an upscale hotel in Kenya's capital city, a State Department official told The Associated Press. The official said the department was offering condolences to the American's family and friends, but declined to identify the individual publicly.

Al-Shabab -- which carried out the 2013 attack at the nearby Westgate Mall in Nairobi that left 67 people dead -- claimed responsibility for the carnage at the DusitD2 hotel complex, which includes bars, restaurants, offices and banks and is in a well-to-do neighborhood with many American, European and Indian expatriates.

"We regret to confirm that at approximately 3 p.m. today [Tuesday], a group of armed assailants attacked the Dusit Complex in a suspected terror attack. Security and emergency teams immediately responded to the incident and have cordoned off the area. The situation is being managed and residents are being screened and evacuated from the area," police said in a statement. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask Your hand of comfort to rest upon all who lost loved ones in today's attack. We lift up all the security personnel in the nation of Kenya who even now are seeking to find and neutralize the attackers, in Your name, amen.

Hatred covered by deceit

Have you noticed that the national media narrative against President Donald Trump has shifted in the past few days from collusion with Russians to actually being an agent of the Russians? On Monday's broadcast of MSNBC's "Hardball," host Chris Matthews stated that he sometimes thinks we're near a point where President Trump is "going to just start talking to us in Russian," like the Russian agent in the film "No Way Out." CNN is reporting that following the firing of FBI Director James Comey, the FBI's holdovers from the previous Administration actually considered investigating Trump for essentially being an agent of Russia and acting on its behalf. This, quite frankly, shows how out of control the deep state has become.

CNN reported Monday, "The congressional transcripts obtained by CNN reveal new details into how the FBI launched the investigation into Trump . . . the bureau had previously contemplated such a step, according to testimony from former FBI lawyer Lisa Page. Peter Strzok, the former FBI agent . . . texted Page in the hours after Comey's firing and said: "We need to open the case we've been waiting on now while Andy is acting," a reference to then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. Page was pressed on the meaning of the message in her interview with congressional investigators, and she confirmed that the text was related to the Russia investigation into potential collusion."

Now the entire media narrative has morphed into Trump being some sort of special agent on behalf of Putin. Let's think about this a bit. Those accusing others of doing something they never considered are often the ones who are doing what they accused. Does anyone remember a whispering conversation between the immediate past "president" and Russian President Dmitri Medvedev regarding missile defense systems, "This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility." Or how about Hillary and Bill Clinton's foundation's $145 million haul from the Russians over the uranium deal she made as Secretary of State? Or her campaign manager John Podesta doing a $35 million Russian energy deal? Where are these narratives and investigations?

The narrative, however, is that Trump is the Russian agent. And it started with the past "president" telling a Clinton campaign rally in October 2016 that he was concerned about Trump's, "continued flattery of Mr. Putin and the degree to which he appears to model many of his policies and approaches" after him. Then comes the fabricated "pee-dossier" paid for by Clinton and the Democratic National Committee with an assist from Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. This has all the makings of a set up to topple a duly elected president and to cover up very cozy relationships that endanger Americans. Proverbs 26:26 says, "[He] Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shown before the whole congregation." The media is complicit in this cover up and We The People need to demand the truth from those we elect.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

MY SAVIOR FIRST OF ALL

"When I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing Your likeness." (Psalm 17:15)

Lyrics

When my life work is ended, And I cross the swelling tide, When the bright and glorious morning I shall see; I shall know my Redeemer When I reach the other side, And His smile will be the first to welcome me.

Refrain:

I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
And redeemed by His side I shall stand,
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
By the print of the nails in His hand.

Oh, the soul thrilling rapture When I view His blessèd face, And the luster of His kindly beaming eye; How my full heart will praise Him For the mercy, love and grace, That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.

Refrain
Oh, the dear ones in glory, How they beckon me to come, And our parting at the river I recall; To the sweet vales of Eden They will sing my welcome home; But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

Refrain

Through the gates to the city In a robe of spotless white, He will lead me where no tears will ever fall; In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight; But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

Signs and Wonders

The Grand Mosque in Mecca, the holiest site in Islam, is under attack by a swarm of locusts

The holiest site in Islam, the Grand Mosque in Saudia Arabia's sacred city of Mecca, has been bombarded by a swarm of insects, and local authorities are struggling to clean up the mess.

Droves of insects identified as black grasshoppers descended on Mecca earlier this week, bugging worshippers at the Grand Mosque. Images of the locusts buzzing around light fixtures, clinging to marble surfaces and even blanketing praying pilgrims spread throughout social media, prompting the city to take action.
The Holy Mecca Municipality issued a statement Monday responding to the swarm of so-called "night cockroaches," saying it had dispatched "22 teams consisting of 138 individuals and 111 devices" to combat the pests.

The teams specifically targeted "breeding and gathering sites" such as sanitation areas and water drains. The municipality said it was "harnessing all the efforts, capabilities and possibilities available to the eliminate these insects in the interest of the safety of guests of the sacred house of God." "It's just a Miracle":

Jayme Closs' Church Praises God for 'Answered Prayers' after Kidnapped Girl Found Safe

[Faithwire.com] Members of a northwestern Wisconsin church have been praising God for the safe return of a young girl from their faith community. St. Peter's Catholic Church promptly changed their sign out front to "Welcome Home, Jayme," after 13-year-old Jayme Closs bravely escaped her kidnapper following three months in squalid captivity.

"God was listening to everybody's begging, multiple times we just said 'please,'" said Patty Gerber, St. Peter's parish director and family friend, told KSTP. "I believe in miracles, too. Whether you call this a miracle or not, I think the prayers of her family especially were answered."

Despite the wonderful news that Jayme is safe and well, a deep pang of sadness and tragedy has shrouded her return-Jayme's parents were both shot dead by the evil assailant, with her mother being gunned down right in front of the teenager . . .

Closs was discovered after she broke out of the small space she was being held in under the man's bed... (Breaking Christian News) Read more.
