> > > Please read I Corinthians 15: 11- 21

As we gaze on a confused and frustrated world, this Scripture comes to mind: "For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe" (1 Corinthians 1:21).

The idea of our world being saved by Christ on the cross was foolishness to the proud and boastful Corinthians of the Apostle Paul's time, who thought that the wisdom of the world was vested in them. And there are many people like them today. But how different it is for those of us who in simple faith know Christ and Him crucified. For us, as the apostle wrote, the cross of Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
We have been saved by His grace and mercy. We do not deserve it, we did not pay for it, we did not work for it. It has been given to us as a gift. It is by the work of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross-and by His resurrection-that we can claim any right to the great Kingdom that is yet to come.

When others look at you, do they see the hope that you have in Christ, both for this life and for eternity?

Focus on Israel

1. IAF attacks Hamas target in southern Gaza - Israel National News

The Israel Air Force (IAF) on Saturday night targeted a terror objective in a military compound in Rafah in southern Gaza, belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said the airstrike was in retaliation for the incident in which the security fence between Israel and Gaza was damaged and there was an attempt to set fire to an engineering vehicle.

"The IDF will continue to thwart all attempts to harm the State of Israel and will respond severely against those who wish to harm Israeli civilians. Hamas is held responsible for all aggression coming from the Gaza Strip," said the statement.

2. Understanding Netanyahu's savvy: How early elections were averted - The Jerusalem Post

Netanyahu reaches an 11th hour deal with the Haredi parties to stave off a coalition crisis over draft legislation

THE KNESSET ended its winter session in the middle of March after passing the 2019 state budget by a large majority, ending two weeks of political uncertainty when the future of the coalition hung in the balance.

The coalition crisis was sparked when the Ashkenazi ultra-Orthodox party, United Torah Judaism, threatened to delay passage of the budget unless its amendment to the IDF conscription legislation was passed. The amendment aimed to legally anchor exemptions from military service for Haredi yeshiva students.

3. Israeli ministers praise appointment of John Bolton - Times of Israel

Two ministers from the right-wing Jewish Home party and another from the ruling Likud party congratulated former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton on Friday for his appointment as US President Donald Trump's new national security adviser.

Education Minister Naftali Bennett tweeted that it was a "great appointment" and that Bolton, considered a foreign policy hawk who is opposed to the Iran nuclear deal, was a "stalwart friend of Israel."

Environment Minister Ze'ev Elkin of Likud said Bolton was "not unknown to Israel. "He has been, unquestionably, a friend of Israel for many years, including in his position as US ambassador to the UN," Elkin told Tel Aviv radio station 102 FM. "I have no doubt it will be comfortable for us to work with him."

4. Jerusalem on high alert ahead of holidays - Israel National News

Two terror attacks in past 7 days, claiming lives of 3 Israelis in total, coupled with expected heightened tensions during the holidays period, lead security forces to raise level of alert in the capital; senior police official: 'There is fear of copycats. Gaza also impacts Jerusalem events.'

The two terror attacks in the past seven days in Mevo Dotan and Jerusalem's Old City, which claimed the lives of three Israelis in total, naturally put defense forces across the country on high alert ahead of the coming Passover holiday, but doubly so in the capital.

In Jerusalem, this heightened level of alert is manifested in the increased deployment of Border Police and police forces in the Old City, where many Israelis as well as tourists will spend some of the upcoming Passover holiday.

"The defense establishment realizes that the cluster of events we are facing may be highly combustible. We're on the precipice of Passover, two memorial days and Independence Day, but before we even get there we're facing Land Day at the end of this month," said a senior police source.

5. Ballistic missile intercepted over the Saudi capital- BNO News

A ballistic missile fired from Yemen has been intercepted over the Saudi capital of Riyadh, officials say, causing a loud explosion to be heard. One interceptor failed and fell in the capital.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. local time on Sunday when multiple large explosions were heard across the capital city. Residents said doors and windows in their apartment were shaking.

State television reported that a ballistic missile from Yemen had been intercepted over northeast Riyadh before it was able to reach its target. Other details were not provided.

The Daily Brief

1. Omnibusiness as Usual - Family Research Council

A chamber of groggy senators finally called it a night a little after 12 a.m., as overwhelmed by exhaustion as they probably are with the 2,232-page bill they just sent down Pennsylvania Avenue. With 994 more pages than the Gutenberg Bible, the omnibus wasn't exactly light reading -- and unfortunately for the taxpayers, hardly light spending either.

In a city that's numb to price tags, even $1.3 trillion ones, this spending package is par for the modern course. And according to the House Freedom Caucus, that's exactly the problem. Although most Americans are thrilled that our military won't have to scrounge around museums for plane parts anymore, the $654 billion for the Pentagon was never the difficult part of the omnibus to swallow. Our troops deserve a pay raise, new equipment, and better health care. As Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) and President Trump reminded everyone, Congress is "delivering the biggest increase in defense funding in 15 years. Reports of training accidents and incidents point to a readiness crisis, and this bill fulfills our pledge to rebuild the nation's military."

But voters deserve something too, Caucus Chair Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) points out. And that "something" is the fulfillment of eight years of GOP promises. In a letter to the White House, urging President Trump to veto the bill, the House's conservatives stand united in their frustration with the process.

As you know, the American people sent a loud and clear message in the 2016 election -- they are tired of business as usual in Washington, D.C... They voted to stop sending taxpayer funds to abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. They voted to reduce the unsustainable, record levels of wasteful spending that occurred during the Obama administration. They voted to fix our health care system...The funding proposal drafted by the House and Senate not only forgets the promises we made to voters -- it outright rejects them. (Read more)

- Father God, in obedience to Your Word, we continue to pray for our leaders. Lord, there are features of this bill that we simply cannot agree with (the funding of Planned Parenthood, for example), so we must enter into the "sacrifice of praise" - praising you when we don't feel like it. God, would you PLEASE fix this, we pray, amen.

- "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that openly profess his name." (Hebrews 13:15)

2. Goodlatte Subpoenas Justice for Documents Related to Clinton Probes - Free Beacon

The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday subpoenaed the Justice Department for documents related to internal DOJ and FBI decisions in the investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email server, as well as potential abuses of laws governing the surveillance of members of Trump presidential campaign. Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R., Va.), who chairs the panel, said he has grown increasingly frustrated by the DOJ's unresponsiveness to his requests for more than 1.2 million documents related to the FBI investigation into Clinton's email. So far the department has only produced "a fraction" of the documents both he and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.) have requested, he said.

Goodlatte said he was following up on requests from his committee and the House Oversight and Government Reform panel, which requested the documents as part of a joint investigation into allegations of liberal bias within the DOJ and FBI that impacted their internal investigation into Clinton's activities. Goodlatte said made the initial request for the documents four months ago, then again in February. "Given the ongoing delays in producing these documents, I am left with no choice but to issue the enclosed subpoena to compel production of these documents," Goodlatte wrote to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. (Read more)

- Almighty God, reveal to the proper authorities where these documents are with compelling force and unearth all the criminal activities that were committed by Hillary Clinton during her long-standing active presence in politics. God, hinder every activity that she is involved in that she may not succeed or prosper in her deceitfulness any more. May the power of the Blood of Jesus hinder her continuing in her wickedness, Lord God, from this day forward. We pray in the Name of Jesus, whose Name is above all names.

- "Let her prosperity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. Let them be before the Lord continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth." (Psalm 109:13, 15)

3. McCabe's Bogus Witch Hunt Of Jeff Sessions Confirms Worst Fears About FBI/DOJ Politicization - The Federalist

Thousands upon thousands of media reports over the last year and a half have intimated, suggested, or flat-out asserted that President Donald Trump is a traitor who colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton. What this widely held theory lacks in evidence, its diehard supporters in the media and other anti-Trump bastions make up for with their faith-filled conviction of its truth. An alternate storyline has been unfolding over that same time. The basic contour is that claims Trump stole the election by treasonously colluding with Russia are the result of a coordinated campaign that was bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee, weaponized by the federal government, and promulgated by a completely compliant media.

This week ABC News reported that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe personally authorized a criminal investigation into Attorney General Jeff Sessions over his alleged ties to Russians. Sessions fired McCabe last week after the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Office of Inspector General (IG) reported his misconduct to the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility. These internal overseers determined McCabe had made unauthorized disclosures to the news media and not been truthful when asked about it on multiple occasions, including when he was under oath.

McCabe was long considered one of the bureau leadership's many leakers while still employed. Note ABC News' manner of breaking the news that McCabe was so completely out of control that he launched a criminal investigation into the attorney general. It includes a bit of a tell: Nearly a year before Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe for what Sessions called a 'lack of candor,' McCabe oversaw a federal criminal investigation into whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News. The second mention of "candor" is the tell that suggests Team McCabe leaked this to undermine Sessions and hint that his firing of McCabe was compromised. That suggestion is undermined by the later claim that Sessions didn't even know McCabe had done this at the time of his firing, as well as the career staff recommendation of the firing. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we ask that You take this entire situation and go down to the root of the problem and observe from heaven all the outgrowth that grew out of the root. Evil was present, Lord, and we ask that You cut off the twists and turns involved in this entire scenario and put the Blood of Jesus on the root that will kill it and all the outgrowth will be exposed for what it really is. Lay Your hand upon the shadow government that is in control of the FBI/DOJ, the media, Hillary Clinton, and break its power off of McCabe, Sessions and bring law and order to this issue. We ask in the Name of Jesus and for Your glory.

- "Therefore God delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto God, You heard them from heaven: and according to Your manifold mercies You gave them saviors, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies." (Nehemiah 9:27)

4. Mick Mulvaney on Omnibus Bill: Good Time To Reconsider Senate Rules "That Drive Us To This Type Of End Result" - RealClearPolitics

White House budget director Mick Mulvaney and legislative director Marc Short take questions on the $1.3 trillion omnibus appropriations bill under consideration in Congress. Mick Mulvaney "cuts right to the chase," saying the president will sign the spending bill if it passes. "Why? Because it funds his priorities. We've talked for the last... six months about trying to get the president's priorities funded, and this omnibus bill does that." If it fails to pass by the end of Friday night, the government will enter a third shutdown in two months. The House Freedom Caucus and Sen. Rand Paul, who forced the last shutdown, says they will oppose this bill too.

Mulvaney lists the reasons to support it: "It actually starts taking a look at funding infrastructure and does... a lot of what we wanted on immigration. When appropriations bills have to have 60 votes in the Senate, as they do, you're going to have to rely on government votes," Mulvaney said, adding that a "line-item veto" would be really nice right about now. "It would be a good time to look at the rules of the Senate that drive us to this type of end result." (Read more)

- Father, we ask that the leadership of the Senate take heed to the wise words of Mick Mulvaney on this critical issue for our national well-being. In Your Name, amen. - "Oh how great is God's goodness, which He has laid up for them that fear Him; which God has wrought for them that trust in Him, before the sons of men! God shall hide them in the secret of Your presence from the pride of man: You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues." (Psalm 31:19-20)

5. Trump Replaces National Security Adviser H. R. McMaster with John Bolton - National Review

Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster will resign his post as national security adviser and be replaced by John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, White House officials announced Thursday. McMaster, who has been plagued by rampant speculation regarding his diminishing status within the administration, has discussed his retirement for weeks with President Donald Trump. The timing of his departure was reportedly prompted by Trump's desire to solidify his national security team in advance of a meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Bolton, who has advised Trump informally since the beginning of his tenure, will officially assume his responsibilities on April 9.

"H.R. McMaster has served his country with distinction for more than 30 years. He has won many battles and his bravery and toughness are legendary," Trump said in a statement. "General McMaster's leadership of the National Security Council staff has helped my administration accomplish great things to bolster America's national security." McMaster replaced former national security adviser Michael Flynn in February of last year and has since publicly clashed with Trump on a number of occasions. Long the target of administration hardliners, McMaster disagreed with Trump's desire to abolish the Iran nuclear agreement and disapproved of his strategy in Afghanistan. Bolton, who has established a reputation as a hawk on Middle East and Asian foreign policy, made the case for launching a pre-emptive strike against North Korea in an op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal last month. (Read more)

- Righteous Father, we put our trust in our God to lead and direct the mind, soul and spirit of Mr. Bolton in this new assignment. Give great wisdom to President Trump in his dealings with the Koreans. Give him an extra anointing from the Holy Spirit to discern any deception, lies, and flagrant assumptions by the Koreans. Overshadow our leaders during this time of great need to hear the Lord. In Jesus' Name we pray.

- "For God has girded me with strength unto the battle: God has subdued under me those that rose up against me." (Psalm 18:39)

6. 10 Big Changes To Expect With Pompeo At State - Clarion Project

By replacing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with CIA Director Mike Pompeo, President Trump has hit the "restart" button on his foreign policy a little over a year into his term. Expect a "shadow war" against our enemies that will likely out-do the Obama Administration's strong covert attacks on the Iranian-North Korean nuclear and missile programs. Pompeo's position on the nuclear deal with Iran is quite clear: "roll it back." That's almost the opposite of Tillerson (and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster), who criticized the deal but fought to preserve it. As a congressman, Pompeo was one of the earliest and staunchest supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act, knowing full well that put him in the crosshairs of the Islamist lobby backed by Qatar and Turkey. When it comes to the Muslim Brotherhood, Pompeo gets it.

If you thought the Trump Administration was favorable towards Israel now, just wait to see what happens with Pompeo in charge of foreign policy. Pompeo sees Israel as a beachhead of secular democracy stemming the wave of Islamism headed towards the West. A review of his statements and actions have a common denominator: He knows how to wage ideological warfare against America's adversaries. Expect Pompeo to hold Putin accountable as much as President Trump will let him. Pompeo also sounds like he advocates a tougher line on the Venezuelan dictatorship that is allied with Iran and expressed concern about Cuban intelligence operations against the U.S. Pompeo is greatly concerned with how anti-American actors, including Islamists and obviously Russia, can use "non-state hostile intelligence services" like Wikileaks to wreak havoc on the West's intelligence operations, military operations and international partnerships, as well as dominate media cycles to their preferred narrative. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray for a double portion of the spirit of the Lord to come upon Mike Pompeo and to guide him every step of the way as he deals with the tremendous challenges of this new assignment. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he set a tabernacle for the sun." (Psalm 19:4)

7. Trump's tariffs on China will benefit America and are long overdue - Fox News

President Trump signed an executive memorandum Thursday slapping $50 billion in annual tariffs and other penalties on a broad range of imported Chinese products, fulling his campaign promise to challenge a rising and increasingly rogue China. The move is justified and long overdue. The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative will publish a list of targeted products in 15 days. That will be followed by a 30-day period for public comment. Tariffs will not be imposed for 60 days, to allow time for comment. Nervous traders on Wall Street initially sent stock prices tumbling in reaction to reports that the president would impose the tariffs. But in the long run, the president's action will be a plus for the U.S. economy and preserve American jobs.

By acting decisively, the president has once again proven that he will take on the toughest of foreign policy challenges, knowing there could be major political repercussions. President Trump framed Thursday's actions as a response to blatantly unfair and improper Chinese rules that force U.S. firms seeking to access the Chinese market to form joint ventures with Chinese companies. The rules enable the Chinese firms to routinely steal the intellectual property of the U.S. companies. This gives the Chinese the ability to use American-developed advanced technology to strengthen their own industries to better compete with American firms in China and around the world. President Trump is saying, in effect, that he will not allow China to steal our trade secrets and then use those secrets to compete against us. (Read more)

- The U.S. has been sold out to foreign countries by a past president. President Trump is "cleaning up" the theft of China for using unfair and improper Chinese rules against the U.S company trades. Praise You, Lord, for a leader taking the stand against the wrongs of China and other nations. May he be strengthened by our prayers. Bring our nation to be an example to others that the U.S. is, "One nation under God." Our God reigns! Praise and glory are Yours.

- "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16b)

8. China responds to Trump tariffs with proposed list of 128 US products to target - CNBC

The world's second-largest economy has responded to President Donald Trump's controversial trade tariffs. China's commerce ministry proposed a list of 128 U.S. products as potential retaliation targets, according to a statement on its website posted Friday morning. The U.S. goods, which had an import value of $3 billion in 2017, include wine, fresh fruit, dried fruit and nuts, steel pipes, modified ethanol, and ginseng, the ministry said. Those products could see a 15 percent duty, while a 25 percent tariff could be imposed on U.S. pork and recycled aluminium goods, according to the statement.

Beijing will take measures against the 128 U.S. goods in two stages if it cannot reach an agreement with Washington, the ministry said, adding that it could take legal action under World Trade Organization rules. Asian stock markets took a dive on the news, with Japan's Nikkei index sliding as much as 4 percent. The Friday response from Beijing is relatively measured, experts told CNBC. The decision to target $3 billion in U.S. imports is significant, "but it's not a lot in terms of the total U.S.-China relationship," said economist Tony Nash, who is CEO and founder of data analytics firm Complete Intelligence. Chinese imports from the U.S. are expected to hit $172 billion this year, he pointed out. (Read more)

- Holy Father, as You lead President Trump in his decisions to improve the U.S. economy, let the controversial trade tariffs on products from China be the beginning of the improvements. By bringing production of goods back to the U.S. we will see both job growth as well as economic growth. Take man's hands off of all China's charges against our nation. Guide those in charge of the Chinese accusations to be lead by the Holy Spirit to do Your will. Let Your light shine from our nation so all can see You and come to You for eternal life. We love You, Lord. Amen.

- "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds . . ." (2 Corinthians 10:4 )

9. The Disengaged Are Destroying America - Culture of Faith

There is no shortage of emotion on the part of the two-thirds of American adults who harbor strong feelings about the condition and direction of the country. During the past decade, in particular, activist conservatives and liberals have been feverishly pushing their ideals and desires for the nation in full view of the public. The clash of worldviews represented by those two factions has created something that feels like an angry stalemate in which America is not making any progress. Some have called it a (mostly) non-violent civil war.

So if we are in a democratic republic, why aren't things changing for the better? One reason is that we lack leadership that is coalescing the people around a positive, shared vision of America. But another crucial component of our national stalemate is the large share of the voting-age population that is disengaged from the multifaceted battle of worldviews. These people are the tiebreakers. But they refuse to show up. These are the people who don't know and don't care. Their failure to participate in the battle for the nation's future is paralyzing us all. (Read more)

- Precious Lord, we know the plans for our country laid out by the Founding Fathers after much prayer and deliberation. We pray that more and more people would come to understand the active role you played in establishing our country and that they would become engaged in influencing our culture in a truly Judeo-Christian direction. We pray that Your strong influence would come to the rescue of the United States to guide it back to true freedom from tyranny and away from the influences of intolerance and bondage. Raise up leaders who inspire Your values in our population.

- "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1)

10. 'No more' or we vote you out: students lead huge U.S. anti-gun rallies - Reuters

Chanting "never again," hundreds of thousands of young Americans and their supporters answered a call to action from survivors of last month's Florida high school massacre and rallied across the United States on Saturday to demand tighter gun laws.

In some of the biggest U.S. youth demonstrations for decades, protesters called on lawmakers and President Donald Trump to confront the issue. Voter registration activists fanned out in the crowds, signing up thousands of the nation's newest voters.

. . . Youthful marchers filled streets in cities including Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, San Diego and St. Louis. 11. Pro-Second Amendment student Kashuv calls for debate with March for Our Lives organizer Kasky - Fox News

Kyle Kashuv, a Second Amendment-supporting student at the Parkland, Fla., high school that was the site of the shooting massacre last month, on Sunday called out a classmate who helped organize the pro-gun control March for Our Lives, based on a quote made to Fox News.

"Happy to debate you live tomorrow so we can dissect each other's arguments. Interested? No personal insults allowed here," Kashuv tweeted to Kasky. He responded that he'd be interested in organizing a debate "in the near future." (Read more) See also: Watch boy, 15, destroy gun-grabbing snowflake mobs - WND Go here.

We ask that a consensus emerge with this volatile issue, so that our nation may be in unity and in peace. Amen.

- "These are the things that you shall do; Speak you every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates." (Zechariah 8:16)

12. US charges 9 Iranians in massive hacking scheme - Israel National News

The Trump administration announced criminal charges and sanctions Friday against Iranians accused in a government-sponsored hacking scheme to pilfer sensitive information from hundreds of universities, private companies and American.

The nine defendants, accused of working at the behest of the Iranian government-tied Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, hacked the computer systems of about 320 universities in the United States and abroad to steal expensive science and engineering research that was then used or sold for profit, prosecutors said.

The hackers also are accused of breaking into the networks of dozens of government organizations, such as the Department of Labor, the United Nations and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and companies including law firms and biotechnology corporations. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, that these men have been caught. We ask that each be found guilty under the full weight of the law of the land, in Your Name, amen.

Spend, spend, spend

Congress averted another shutdown of the government by passing a $1.3 TRILLION resolution that funds the government until the mid-term elections, according to Associated Press. This whole idea of having to fund the government to avoid a shutdown to avoid backlash from taxpayers who don't want the government shut down is fiscally irresponsible and a Biblical example of a lack of good stewardship. If the government wasn't the largest employer in America, maybe there would be more sanity to the process, more accountability. The government is too big, too overreaching and too irresponsible, but Congress is at fault-it doesn't operate as the Constitution prescribes by establishing a yearly budget.

It's the Continuing Resolution trap. These smart people we voted into office have figured out a way to operate lawfully while at the same time get all the tax-funded projects they want by passing Continuing Resolutions. Continuing Resolutions are based off of an original budget bill and modify that bill often based on a formula. They are passed when the President and Congress cannot agree to a fiscal budget. According to the Congressional Research Service between fiscal year 1977 and fiscal year 2015, Congress only passed all twelve regular appropriations bills on time in four years - fiscal years 1977, 1989, 1995, and 1997. So you can see Congress has operated without a budget a lot.

Article 1, Section 9, Clause 7 of the Constitution "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time." The Constitution also requires the House of Representatives to originate the budget. Usually, the President sends his budget to the House, which then crafts an appropriations bill for consideration and voting. The Statement of Accounts clause has been interpreted that there must be an annual budget. In recent years, neither the President nor the House has originated a budget so we have had these candy stores of pet projects loading up Continuing Resolutions that perpetuate the reelection of Congressmen with favors using your hard-earned tax dollars.

The stick in this bait and switch game is that if Congress doesn't pass a Continuing Resolution, the government shuts down and we can't have that because the largest voting block in America would be upset. So it is better to be fiscally irresponsible with everybody's money, secure reelection with endless projects and favors, and kick the can down the road. This has resulted in a Federal debt of $21 TRILLION. Your share as a taxpayer is $173,549. Yet we keep reelecting these bums who keep spending your money on their projects. There were 90 House and 24 Senate Republicans who voted against this last bill. All others should be booted. It's bad business. Psalm 37:21 says, "The wicked borrow and pay not again: but the righteous show mercy and give." And that is where this is all headed unless We The People do something about it.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Taylor Force Act IS Law!

Taylor Force Act IS Law!

The Taylor Force Act (TFA) became law today with the signature of President Donald Trump. The TFA will defund the Palestinian Authority (PA) until they cease and denounce funding and support for terrorists and their families for acts against Israel and the United States.

The PA spent seven percent, or $358 million, of its total 2017 budget on payments to terrorists and their families. In 2016, it spent $322 million on terrorists' stipends. Much of that aid comes from the United States - an average of $335 million annually over the last five years.

Each terrorist serving a three- to five-year sentence in an Israeli prison receives a monthly stipend equivalent to $580, the same as the average monthly salaries of Palestinians in the West Bank. Terrorists serving a life sentence receive a monthly stipend amounting to $2,900. Married terrorists receive an additional $87 a month, and those who are married with children receive an additional $14 per child a month. Terrorists who have Israeli citizenship receive an additional $144 a month. (Read more)

Classic Hymns

Oh How I Love The Saviour's Name

"Because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

Lyrics

There is a name I love to hear, I love to speak its worth; It sounds like music in mine ear, The sweetest name on earth.

It tells me of a Savior's love, Who died to set me free; It tells me of His precious blood, The sinner's perfect plea.

t tells me of a Father's smile Beaming upon His child; It cheers me through this "little while," Through desert, waste, and wild.

It tells me what my Father hath In store for every day, And though I tread a darksome path, Yields sunshine all the way.

It tells of One whose loving heart Can feel my deepest woe; Who in my sorrow bears a part, That none can bear below.

It bids my trembling heart rejoice; It dries each rising tear; It tells me, in a "still small voice," To trust and never fear.

Jesus, the name I love so well, The name I love to hear! No saint on earth its worth can tell, No heart conceive how dear.

This name shall shed its fragrance still Along this thorny road, Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill That leads me up to God.

And there, with all the blood-bought throng, From sin and sorrow free, I'll sing the new eternal song Of Jesus' love to me.

Signs and Wonders

Mount Etna in Sicily is sliding into Mediterranean Sea, scientists say

Mount Etna - Europe's tallest active volcano - is sliding toward the sea which could have "devastating consequences", scientists have warned.

A team of British experts has discovered the giant volcano on the east coast of the island Sicily, Italy, is edging closer to the Mediterranean Sea by 0.6 inches every year which could result in collapse.

Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is in an almost constant state of activity with a history of violent eruptions.

Writing in the report Dr Murray and his team said this "strong geological evidence" of sliding have a natural tendency to result in "large catastrophic sector collapse" and "devastating consequences" such as landslides.

Dr Murray told the BBC: "I would say there is currently no cause for alarm, but it is something we need to keep an eye on, especially to see if there is an acceleration in this motion."

The data suggests the mountain is moving in an east-south-east direction, down a gentle slope of 1-3 degrees towards the coastal town of Giarre, which is about 9.3 miles away. (Read more)

The Good News Corner

79,000 Child Trafficking Victims in Texas Alone:
Refuge Ranch Comes to the Rescue

(Austin, TX)-[CBN News] For children who escape the horror of human trafficking there are no easy answers. Only a handful of centers exist that can treat their complex trauma. But in central Texas, a new facility is opening that hopes to combine comprehensive care with financial sustainability.

Brooke Crowder is the "mind" behind the Refuge. After working with survivors internationally, she came to Austin in 2010 and was amazed to find no organization that was focused on child survivors. "I kept saying, 'why are we not doing this?'" she told CBN News, "and then it became 'why am I not doing this?'"

Crowder says there's many reasons that more places of care don't exist. "It's just an issue we don't really want to talk about," she said, "It's dark. It's hard to hear about." (Read more)

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
Friends may participate by receiving our daily prayer alerts. You may contact us at chpp1994@gmail.com for more information. CHPP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry. Thank you and God bless you!
