2. UNRWA discovers Hamas tunnel under Gaza schools - Jerusalem Post
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency announced on Friday that they discovered on June 1 a tunnel under two of its schools in the Gaza Strip: The Maghazi Elementary Boys A&B School and the Maghazi Prepatory Boys School, which are located on the same premises.
In a statement, UNRWA spokesperson Christopher Gunness said that the tunnels were discovered during construction of an extension of one of the buildings during summer vacation, when the schools were empty. The tunnel had no entry or exit points within the school.
"UNRWA condemns the existence of such tunnels in the strongest possible terms," the statement read. "It is unacceptable that students and staff are placed at risk in such a way. The construction and presence of tunnels under UN premises are incompatible with the respect of privileges and immunities owed to the United Nations under applicable international law, which provides that UN premises shall be inviolable. The sanctity and neutrality of UN premises must be preserved at all times." (Read more)
3. Israel demands UN response following Gaza tunnel discovery - Jerusalem Post
Israel on Friday called on the UN to "strongly and unequivocally condemn Hamas" and formally classify the group a "terrorist organization" following the discovery of a tunnel that runs beneath two UN Relief and Works Agency schools in the Gaza Strip.
In a letter to the president of the Security Council, Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon demanded that "this time, the international community must not turn a blind eye toward such cynical exploitation" of civilian infrastructure in Gaza by Hamas.
UN Middle East envoy Nickolay Mladenov posted the following message on Twitter on Saturday: "Despicable to risk the lives of children! Hamas must end illicit arms buildup and militant activity in Gaza." (Read more)
4. Journalist ordered to pay Netanyahu damages for libel - World Israel News
A Tel Aviv court has ordered a journalist to pay more than NIS 100,000 ($25,000) in damages to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara for libeling them.
The magistrate court in Tel Aviv ruled Sunday that Yigal Sarna libeled the couple for writing a Facebook post claiming the prime minister's wife had kicked Netanyahu out of their car during a fight.
According to Netanyahu, the entire story was a lie; it did not and could not have happened. Anyone who knows anything at all about motorcade security would understand that such a situation could not have occurred, he said. (Read more)
5. Israeli cabinet decides to heed PA request to cut Gaza electricity - Times of Israel
Israel has reportedly decided to heed a Palestinian Authority request to cut electricity supply to the Hamas-run Gaza Strip after the PA announced it would not continue to pay the bill as it stepped up pressure on its main rival.
An Israeli official told the daily Haaretz newspaper on Sunday that the security cabinet earlier in the day had accepted the recommendation of the Israeli military to cut the supply at the request of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas whose confrontation with Hamas has escalated in recent months. 6. Nikki Haley at Yad Vashem: 'We must always choose a side' - Jerusalem Post
US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley visited Yad Vashem on Friday, during the third and final day of her Israel visit.
Haley toured the vast Holocaust museum in Jerusalem, accompanied by Dr Robert Rozett, Director of Yad Vashem Libraries, and participated in a memorial ceremony in the museum's Hall of Remembrance. Haley laid a wreath in memory of those killed during the Holocaust.
Signing the Yad Vashem guest book, Haley wrote that "we must always honor and remember the lives lost during one of the most horrible times in history. There is a lesson here. Leadership is not about power. Leadership is the acknowledgment and value of human dignity. We must always choose a side." (Read more)

1. Top criminal law expert joins special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe - MSNBC.com
One of the federal government's top criminal law specialists is joining the investigation by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III centered on possible coordination between President Trump's associates and Russian officials.
Justice Department deputy solicitor general Michael Dreeben, who has argued more than 100 cases before the Supreme Court, is the department's go-to lawyer on criminal justice cases and is highly respected by Democrats and Republicans because of his encyclopedic knowledge of criminal law. Dreeben will work part time for Mueller, according to Justice officials, while he continues to oversee the department's criminal appellate cases.
Former and current Justice Department officials say that Mueller's recruitment of Dreeben shows how serious he is about the investigation and signals complexities in the probe. "Michael is the most brilliant and most knowledgeable federal criminal lawyer in America - period," said Walter Dellinger, a law professor at Duke University School of Law and acting solicitor general for the 1996-1997 term of the Supreme Court.
"I learned early on in my time as acting [solicitor general] that there was no point of ever thinking of second-guessing Michael on a matter of federal criminal law, because he just knew more than I did or could ever know," Dellinger said. "He's a straight shooter, and is held in the greatest esteem by the FBI and lawyers in U.S. attorneys offices all over the country."
Mueller, working out of the Patrick Henry Building on D Street NW, was appointed special counsel by Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein on May 17 and has been building a team of top criminal-law experts for his high-profile investigation. Dreeben's move to the team was first reported by the National Law Journal. 2. House, Senate committees want Trump tapes, Comey memos - Fox News
House and Senate lawmakers leading the Russia investigation have asked the White House to produce tapes President Trump hinted might exist of a conversation between him and ousted FBI Director James Comey. They also made a formal request to the Comey camp for copies of the memos he testified he made to document the meetings.
The requests come on the heels of explosive allegations by Comey and a string of strong denials by Trump over the abrupt dismissal of the FBI director and the circumstances surrounding it.
Comey testified Thursday before the Senate Intelligence Committee that he'd given a memo that detailed a conversation with Trump to his friend, Daniel Richman, a law professor at Columbia University. On Friday, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, reached out to Comey's confidant and the committee confirmed Saturday that they had been in touch with Richman about the memo. "Mr. Richman has had direct contact with the Committee about the request for the memos.," the committee told Fox News. "Staff for Special Counsel Mueller and the Committee are also in discussions about that request and others, in preparation for a meeting between Mueller and Committee leadership."
Separately, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence announced they had made two requests for evidence themselves - one to Comey and another to White House counsel Don McGahn.Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Michael Conaway, R-Texas, said they wrote to Comey asking for any notes or memos he took.They also asked McGahn to tell the committee whether the White House has or has ever had recordings of Comey's conversation with Trump - and put a June 23 deadline on the information. 3. Trump's pick for FBI director tied to Shariah-compliant deals - WND
Shariah law is like a mysterious "other" for most Westerners, who may know of its intolerance of other religions and its criminal codes that call for stoning adulterers and the cutting off of limbs for petty thieves.
But few know there is a portion of Shariah that includes a thriving area of finance - deals for real estate and business transactions taking place all over the world with Arab money. President Donald Trump's pick to head the FBI, Christopher Wray, surely knows something about this segment of Shariah.

4. Sessions says he will discuss Comey with Senate panel - Reuters
Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a letter on Saturday that he will appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday to address matters former FBI Director James Comey brought up this week in testimony to the same panel.
In a letter seen by Reuters, Sessions told Senator Richard Shelby, chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies, that the intelligence committee is the "most appropriate" place to address matters that came up during Comey's hearing on Thursday.
The letter did not say whether Sessions planned to give public testimony or to appear before the panel behind closed doors.
"In light of reports regarding Mr. Comey's recent testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, it is important that I have an opportunity to address these matters in the appropriate forum," Sessions said in the letter.
The committee "is the most appropriate forum for such matters, as it has been conducting an investigation and has access to relevant, classified information," he added. The Senate panel is investigating allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. (Read more)

5. Dem congressmen's guide explains how to leak secrets - WND
More than three months before the Justice Department announced a 25-year-old National Security Agency contractor had been arrested for leaking top-secret information to a news outlet, two Democratic members of Congress launched a taxpayer-funded, official government website to show federal employees how to leak government information to the media.
In an article headlined "Federal Employees Guide To Sharing Key Information With The Public," Reps. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., and Don Beyer, D-Va., are encouraging whistleblowers, specifically within President Trump's administration, to continue leaking to the media.
"Now more than ever we need whistleblowers to come forward. I created an official website on how to leak to the press," Lieu tweeted with a link to his official congressional website. (Read more)

6. Alleged NSA Leaker Once Said 'Being White Is Terrorism' - Breitbart
Reality Winner, who is white, tweeted to rapper Kanye West in February that he should make a shirt saying whiteness is a form of terrorism.
"@kanyewest you should make a shirt that says, 'being white is terrorism,'" Winner wrote on Twitter.
A search of Winner's Twitter account shows multiple left-wing messages disparaging President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, ranging from calling the president an "orange fascist" to calling Sessions a "Confederate general" who encourages racism: Winner's Facebook page also shows posts "resisting" Trump with the hashtags #NeverMyPresident and #resist, but one such post is no longer available.
Winner worked as a government contractor with Pluribus International Corporation in Georgia and was charged Monday with allegedly leaking NSA documents on Russian election hacking to The Intercept. (Read more)

7. Devin Nunes on Unmasking: 'Oh, This Is Only the Beginning' - The Daily Beast
Colleague Mary Kissel of The Wall Street Journal editorial board and I discussed recently with Chairman Devin Nunes of the House Select Intelligence Committee the thinking behind the committee's issuing subpoenas seeking details about unmaskings of American citizens that were requested by three senior Obama administration officials, former CIA director John Brennan, former national security adviser Susan Rice, and former UN ambassador Samantha Power.
"The subpoenas," Nunes explained, "actually went to the NSA, the CIA, and the FBI, requesting specifically, of those three individuals that were named, the unmaskings they have done, that they did, from the time period of 2016, the entire year, leading up to Jan. 20 of this year."
Quickly Nunes focused on the politics of the unmaskings.

8. After sowing doubts, Trump backs NATO mutual defense under charter - Reuters
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that he backs the NATO charter's demand that all members be prepared to defend each other, weeks after jarring allies by not restating U.S. support for the agreement.
At a joint news conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, Trump said he supports the NATO charter's Article 5, the requirement that each member of the alliance defend each other if they come under attack.
During a visit to NATO headquarters last month in Brussels, Trump had pointedly not mentioned U.S. support for the critical portion of the NATO charter. He used his speech there to demand that members pay more for the alliance's defense. (Read more)

9. Hawaii ignores Trump, is first state to pass law committing to Paris Climate Accord - Fox News
The governor of Hawaii on Tuesday signed a bill that aligns the state's carbon emissions with the Paris climate accord. Gov. David Ige signed the bill that calls on documenting sea level rise and set strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
"Many of the greatest challenges of our day hit us first, and that means that we also need to be first when it comes to creating solutions," Mr. Ige, a Democrat, said, according to The New York Times. "We are the testing grounds - as an island state, we are especially aware of the limits of our natural environment. Climate change is real, regardless of what others may say," he said. President Trump withdrew the U.S. from that agreement last week.
Ige says Hawaii is the first state to enact legislation implementing parts of the Paris climate agreement. Ige says the islands are seeing the impacts of climate change first-hand. He says tides are getting higher, biodiversity is shrinking, coral is bleaching and coastlines are eroding.
At least a dozen states including Hawaii have signed pledges to continue reducing fossil-fuel emissions despite Trump's decision. (Read more)

10. Bernie Sanders attacks Trump nominee for following teachings of Christ - Fox News
On Wednesday, Russell Vought, President Trump's nominee to be deputy director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, was viciously attacked by Sen. Bernie Sanders over his Christian faith. The controversy stems from an article Vought wrote in 2016 defending his alma mater, Wheaton College. In that article, he described Islam as a "deficient theology." Sen. Sanders deemed Vought unsuitable for office because he believes that salvation is found alone through Jesus Christ. He said someone with that kind of a religious belief system is "really not someone who this country is supposed to be about." Sen. James Lankford warned that Sander's comments were "dangerously close to crossing a clear constitutional line for how we evaluate qualifications for public service." (Read more)

11. U.S. downs pro-Syrian drone that fired at coalition forces: spokesman - Reuters
The United States shot down a pro-Syrian government drone that fired toward U.S.-led coalition forces in Syria on Thursday, a U.S. military spokesman said, in a major escalation of tensions between Washington and troops supporting Damascus.
The armed drone "hit dirt" and there were no injuries or damage done to the coalition patrol in southern Syria. But U.S. Army Colonel Ryan Dillon, a spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition fighting Islamic State, told reporters the drone meant to attack them and dismissed the possibility it had fired a warning shot. "This clearly showed a threat even if it were a warning shot; it was something that showed a hostile intent, a hostile action and posed a threat to our forces because this drone still had munitions that were still on it," Dillon said. He added that it was the first known time that pro-Syrian government forces had fired at coalition forces in the area.
A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the munition landed a few hundred yards from coalition forces and failed to explode. The official added that a U.S. F-15 fighter jet was used to strike the drone, which was likely Iranian-made but that further analysis was being carried out. (Read more)

1. Michigan Preacher Helped 'Radicalize' London Attacker - Daily Caller
A Michigan-based Islamic preacher's YouTube account may have helped radicalize one of Saturday's London attackers, a friend of the attacker told BBCNews Asia.
The preacher, Ahmad Musa Jibril, is well known on youtube for preaching sermons that appear to lionize Islamic terrorists fighting in Syria. The friend of the attacker was so concerned by his obsession with the preacher's sermons, it prompted him to notify the anti-terror police. The attacker and two accomplices killed seven and injured dozens more after plowing a car into a crowd and stabbing passersby before police could gun them down.
"He used to listen to a lot of Musa Jibril. I have heard some of this stuff and its very radical. I am surprised this stuff is still on YouTube and is easily accessible. I phoned the anti-terror hotline. I spoke to the gentleman. I told him about our conversation and why I think he was radicalised," the friend told BBCNews. (Read more)

2. Pakistan Home of London Terrorist Who Came to UK as Child Refugee Raided, Had Access to Tunnels Under Parliament - Breitbart
Sky News reports that Butt, who they say came to Britain with his parents from Pakistan as asylum seekers, worked for Transport for London. Further reports indicate Butt's work gave him access to tunnels under the Houses of Parliament from the Westminster Underground Station - despite the fact he had been investigated for terror links by MI5 and even been featured on a Channel 4 documentary about British-based Islamists titled 'The Jihadis Next Door'.
Pakistani security officials told The Telegraph newspaper that raids on homes and businesses connected to the Butt family were being carried out as a precaution, but that the terrorist was likely radicalised in Britain and trained in Syria.
"Our British counterparts told us they don't think he was radicalised here, and we think it is probably more likely that he was trained in Syria," one said. "But we are searching the homes of any relatives connected to him and we are tracing all telephone calls made by family members." (Read more)

3. London Bridge terror attack identity - ISIS attacker was filmed on Channel 4 before attack - Telegraph UK
Anti-terror bosses today face tough questions over how the ex-London Underground, KFC and Topshop worker managed to slip through the net before carrying out Saturday night's atrocity, killing seven people and injuring dozens others.
The 27-year-old manic was pictured lying dead wearing an Arsenal shirt after armed police gunned down him and two other terror thugs.
It is has now been revealed the home-grown jihadi was twice reported to anti-terror authorities after he was apparently brainwashed by watching extremist YouTube videos. He even appeared in a Channel 4 documentary last year about British jihadis where he was filmed alongside two notorious preachers.
At one point the Muslim terrorist is filmed involved in an altercation with police after an ISIS flag was unfurled in a park. It is also claimed police were warned about the Muslim terrorist, understood to be one of three men behind the stabbing rampage, radicalising children in a local park two years ago. (Read more)

4. [A Story of Heroism] Kirsty Boden: Nurse killed in London Bridge attack as she 'ran towards danger' to help people - The Independent UK
The third victim of the London Bridge terror attack has been named as Kirsty Boden, an Australian nurse who "ran towards danger" to help people during the deadly onslaught. The 28-year-old is among the seven people who were killed when three terrorists rammed a white van into people in the London Bridge area, before exiting the vehicle and stabbing people at random in Borough market.
Ms Boden worked at Guy's Hospital in London Bridge. Her family have asked for privacy, and paid tribute to her in a statement, calling her "the most outgoing, kind and generous person" who loved to help others. When the projections first came out showing Conservative Prime Minister Theresa May losing control of Parliament on Thursday night, the surprise at the watch party I attended in central London was palpable. The full results on Friday morning show that the shock was entirely warranted.

Comey, C'mon man!
Comey this, Comey that, Comey, Comey, Comey-the news reports on the James Comey testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee are beginning to sound like some sort of rock and roll song. I wasn't going to write any more on this, but there is no choice. This whole thing with Comey and his testimony is a dog and pony show on the biggest stage in the world showing how hypocritical and petty the Washington, D.C. political machine has become. It never was wonderfully honorable, but the hype aimed at destroying reputations and providing high-drama for political gain is held at the public expense of taxpayers over the insinuation and innuendo of political hack James Comey. It's embarrassing.
The one new revelation that came from the testimony of this Democratic Party operative and 5th Estate power monger is that Comey revealed just how underhanded the political tactics become when someone feels their power is threatened. He gave America insight into the shenanigans by admitting that he used a close friend of his-Columbia law professor Daniel Richman-to leak the content of his memos to himself to the New York Times in hope of triggering the appointment of a special counsel. What he did was write up his own (hear biased or politically motivated opinion) account of his private meetings with President Donald Trump and leaked them through a second party to the New York Times with hopes of undermining Trump's presidency.
That's the motive. It is not what the leftist news media will report, but it is-take it from a former political operative-how hardball is played. At the same time Comey is admitting to this underhanded chicanery, he also testified that he couldn't say whether Trump's request to shut down the investigation of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was an obstruction of justice. He said this issue was for a special counsel to determine. This is another political tactic to undermine Trump's presidency-answer a leading question without saying a law was broken, but imply that it was. The news picks up on it, and the reputation of the target suffers in the public irrespective of whether it is true or false.
So far, the Democrats are winning in their media war against Trump. They have a special counsel appointed. An investigation is underway even though top Democrats say there is no evidence of wrong doing. The witch hunt is aired in the public daily, undermining the public confidence in the presidency. And that is the goal-to make it so Trump cannot implement his agenda. It's a strategy of the coup. As long as the notion of wrongdoing is pounded into the public's minds, the strategy of this revolution is succeeding. As Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Don't forget it. This spiritual wickedness is very persuasive and can cause even the elect to misstep.

Sign this petition to the U.S. Senate to Reject Senator Bernie Sanders' demand that Bible-believing Christians be excluded from presidential appointments.
Wednesday night, U.S. senators witnessed one of the most stunning outbursts of religious bigotry and hostility in recent memory. U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) responded in anger after Russell Vought, President Trump's nominee to be Deputy Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, answered a question about his belief that salvation is found alone through Jesus Christ. Sanders declared Mr. Vought is "really not someone who this country is supposed to be about."
Senator Sanders made this blatantly unconstitutional endorsement of a religious litmus test following this exchange:
Sanders: Let me get to this issue that has bothered me and bothered many other people. And that is in the piece that I referred to that you wrote for the publication called Resurgent. You wrote, "Muslims do not simply have a deficient theology. They do not know God because they have rejected Jesus Christ, His Son, and they stand condemned." Do you believe that that statement is Islamophobic?
Vought: Absolutely not, senator. I'm a Christian, and I believe in a Christian set of principles based on my faith. That post, as I stated in the questionnaire to this committee, was to defend my alma mater, Wheaton College, a Christian school that has a statement of faith that includes the centrality of Jesus Christ for salvation. . .
This is a core biblical tenet held by Christians - Protestant and Catholic - throughout the world for millennia.
The Bible says in John 3:18 that "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
Yet Senator Sanders is making it clear that he believes the U.S. Senate should disqualify nominees who expresses this most basic biblical belief. Senator Sanders is taking the Obama era's religious hostility and putting it on steroids.
Please sign this petition and we will deliver it to every U.S. Senator -- reminding him or her that our Constitution guarantees there will be no religious litmus test. Americans should never be forced to choose between their faith and public service. Nor should the U.S. Senate try to impose a stealth litmus test that says "you can be religious as long as you don't actually believe or talk about what the Bible teaches." By signing this petition, you are asking Senator Sanders to apologize for his bigotry and asking his Senate colleagues to immediately pledge that they will not oppose nominees on the basis of their religious views.
Demanding a loyalty oath to the government's (or Senator Sanders') determination of what beliefs are acceptable isn't what this country is about; indeed, it's what we fought for independence from! We should celebrate that we are a nation that not only allows but encourages every American to hold and express their religious beliefs without fear of retribution by the government. This is the essence of America and the Constitution.

Abortionists Can No Longer Mutilate Babies in Abortion or Sell Their Body Parts in This State
Senate Bill 8, the Texas Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act, also makes partial-birth abortion illegal. A federal law already bans partial-birth abortion. The procedure involves delivering all of a live baby except her head and then stabbing scissors into the base of her skull, sucking her brains out, and then removing her head after it's been destroyed. It's a form of late-term abortion that is illegal under federal law; other methods of late-term abortion are legal even hours before a baby is to be born.
The undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress showed how profitable the sale of aborted baby body parts is for the abortion industry. The most recently released video, which Vimeo and YouTube are censoring, shows Planned Parenthood abortionist Dr. Ann Schutt-Aine describe how she avoids committing an illegal partial-birth abortion.
