Under the Cross of Christ"

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

The Middle East in Focus

1. Israel collaborating with regional Arab powers, official says - Israel Hayom

Foreign Ministry Director General Dore Gold said in an interview in the Financial Times on Monday that Israel is cooperating with regional Arab powers in an effort to deal with common security threats.

Gold said that without this sort of cooperation, local terrorist groups, including the Islamic State group, could expand their foothold in the area.

"The Sunni Arab states increasingly see the Middle East through the same prism as Israel," Gold told the British newspaper. Like Israel, Sunni states in the Middle East are growing more concerned about Iran's influence in the region as well as the expanding terrorist activity. (Read more)

2. 'Turkey-Israel rapprochement did not affect Israeli- Russian relations' - Jerusalem Post

The mending of relations between Turkey and Israel did not harm the Jewish state's relations with Russia as the current rapprochement between Turkey and Russia demonstrates, Pini Avivi, former Israeli ambassador to Turkey between 2003-2007, told The Jerusalem Post on Monday.

Avivi, who also served as the senior deputy general of the Foreign Ministry from 2011-2014, said it is important to note that Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Bashar Assad had friendly relations 10 years ago, before the outbreak of the civil war. Their families had even mingled, he said.

He added that Turkish relations with Russia also are key because of energy cooperation. Last month, Russia and Turkey revived plans for the TurkStream natural gas pipeline.(Read more)

3. Gaza portrayed as idyllic paradise in new Hamas propaganda video - Times of Israel

With an eye on October's municipal elections in the Palestinian territories, the Hamas terror group has produced a slick video showing a supposedly prosperous Gaza Strip under its rule, featuring smiling people holding up signs with the hashtag "Thank you Hamas."

Included in the video is an image of a metallic fist statue perched atop what appears to be an IDF armored vehicle. The fist clutches a replica of fallen soldier Oron Shaul's dog tags. The tags bear Shaul's army number - 6092065.

Shaul was killed in action during the 2014 Gaza war, and Hamas initially claimed it had captured him alive. He was subsequently pronounced dead by the IDF and Hamas has refused to return his body.(Read more)

4. Israel to crack down further on foreign pro-Palestinian activists - The Guardian

Israel is intensifying its campaign against foreign pro-Palestinian activists, announcing that it will establish a taskforce to identify and deport or deny entry to individuals who support the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting the Israeli occupation.

The country's interior minister, Aryeh Deri, and the public security minister, Gilad Erdan, announced the move on Sunday.

The taskforce will attempt to locate hundreds of activists already in Israel and deny entry to others trying get in.

Israel has a long history of denying entry to those it says are damaging to its interests, but the latest proposal marks a new escalation against the BDS movement and activists.(Read more)

5. Palestinian Authority mulls establishing own Jerusalem municipal council -Jerusalem Post

The Palestinian Authority is considering a proposal to create a municipal council in east Jerusalem.

If established, the council would be the first major official Palestinian presence in the capital since 2001, when Israel removed the PLO from the Orient House, its former Jerusalem headquarters.

Mohammed Shtayyeh, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, told the al-Quds daily Palestinian newspaper on Sunday that the Palestinian leadership is currently reviewing the proposal because Israel rejected the PA's request to hold elections in Jerusalem.(Read more)

Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. U.S. says 300 Islamic State fighters killed in Afghan operation - YNET News

Afghan forces, backed by the United States, have killed an estimated 300 Islamic State fighters in an operation mounted two weeks ago, the top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan said on Wednesday, calling it a severe blow to the group.(Read more)

~Lord, we are glad to hear of the severe blow to the Islamic State fighters movement, although sad to hear they died, not knowing You. We do ask, Lord, that You would separate those willing to know the truth of You, the true God, and that in future operations, they would be open to knowing You and serving You with all their hearts. We ask for the resounding defeat of those who oppose You and Your people. In Your Name we pray, Amen.

"Because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face." (Deuteronomy 7:8-10)

2. Parents of Benghazi suing Hillary Clinton - The Washington Times

The parents of two of the Americans killed in the Benghazi terrorist attacks sued Hillary Clinton in federal court Monday, saying the former secretary of state is liable for their deaths.

The lawsuit, filed by Patricia Smith and Charles Woods, blames the attacks in part on the current Democratic presidential nominee's use of a private email server when she was secretary of state.

The server, which was the object of foreign government hack attempts, enabled the Islamic State allied terrorists to "obtain the whereabouts of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and thus the U.S. State Department and covert and other government operations in Benghazi, Libya and subsequently orchestrate, plan, and execute the now infamous September 11, 2012 attack," the suit claims.

The lawsuit also accuses Mrs. Clinton of defamation and the infliction of distress, and seeks damages from her on that score too. It claims that "During her campaign for President, Defendant Clinton has negligently, recklessly, and/or maliciously defamed Plaintiffs by either directly calling them liars, or by strongly implying that they are liars."

There was no immediate public response from the Clinton campaign.

Mr. Woods is the father of Tyrone Woods, a former Navy SEAL working as a CIA security contractor at the time of the Islamist attack, which Mrs. Clinton and other U.S. officials blamed on an anti-Islam video.(Read more)

~Abba, we stand in agreement for justice to be served in holding Mrs. Clinton accountable for her actions. We ask that no one be able to avoid the consequences of their actions.

So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12)

3. Churches take new security measures in face of terror threats - Fox News

As Father Josiah Trenham prepared to read the Gospel, several parishioners discreetly scooped up their babies, retreated up the aisles of St. Andrew Orthodox Church and out into the spring air, so as not to allow the crying of little ones to disturb the divine liturgy.

The time-honored tradition was shattered when a car passed by the Riverside, Calif., church, slowing down as the front passenger leaned out of his window and bellowed menacingly through a bullhorn, according to witnesses.

"Allahu Akbar!" the unidentified man repeated several times as the unnerved parents drew their infants close and exchanged worried glances.

Witnesses were able to give Riverside police a description of the green Honda Civic, but not of the three occupants. Some told police they believed one or more of the men may have been taking photographs, according to Officer Ryan Railsback. Although Trenham insisted multiple congregants heard the Arabic phrase, Railsback noted no mention of it was in the police report.

Whatever the case, no law was broken - even if an unmistakable message was sent and received.

"Be calm and to keep a special vigilance over the property and our children while we are at church," Trenham wrote in an email to parishioners in which he recounted the disturbing event. "Pray that these provocative young men might repent of their intimidation and be saved."

Trenham told FoxNews.com last week the situation remains "tense and tenuous," and said the church now has security officers on hand for all regular services.

"It is a deep sorrow to live this way in the 'new America,'" he said.(Read more)

~Abba, we ask for Your divine protection over your people, and bind up spirits of intimidation, hatred, and murder. We ask for a divine revelation of Yourself as the One and only true God and Father, Who walks in covenant with His people and shows Himself strong on their behalf! May these young men give their hearts to You, and serve You with their whole hearts and lives, we pray, Amen.

"You gave the Son power over all people so that the Son could give eternal life to all those You gave Him. And this is eternal life: that people know You, the only true God, and that they know Jesus Christ, the One You sent." (John 17:2,3)

4. Public water supply is unsafe for millions of Americans - CNN

Millions of Americans may be drinking water with unsafe levels of industrial chemicals, according to a study published Tuesday in the journal Environmental Science & Technology Letters. These chemicals, known as polyfluoroalkyl and perfluoroalkyl substances or PFASs, have been linked to high cholesterol, obesity, hormone suppression -- and even cancer.

Introduced more than 60 years ago, PFASs are a category of man-made chemicals that degrade very slowly, if at all, in the environment.

"I do think that Americans should be concerned about these chemicals," said Susan M. Pinney, a professor in the department of environmental health at University of Cincinnati. Pinney, who did not participate in the new research, explained that not enough time has elapsed to understand all the long-term health effects of these toxins.(Read more)

~Father, we bring this very serious situation to You, and ask that You would intercede in these circumstances, and heal our waters, bringing life to our people. We ask for the proper people, who are able to intervene in these conditions, and bring them knowledge and ability to right this situation. May many people avoid illnesses as a result of this knowledge and understanding, and bring life to Your people, we pray, Amen.

"He said, 'Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it. So they brought it to him. The Elisha went to the spring of water and threw the salt in it and said,"Thus says the Lord: I [not the salt] have purified and healed these waters; there shall no longer be death or barrenness because of it. So the waters have been purified to this day, in accordance with the word spoken by Elisha." (2 Kings 2:20-22)

5. Out-of-control California wildfire grows, forces schools to close - Reuters

A wildfire burning out of control in mountains and foothills east of Los Angeles mushroomed more than 50 percent overnight, forcing authorities to order three school districts to cancel classes due to heavy smoke and dangerous conditions.(Read more)

~Father, we bring this very serious situation to You, asking for Your intervention, and protection for Your people. Please protect the people, animals, and property in the path of these fires. You are the God of the wind and the weather, and we ask for You to control these elements, to serve Your purposes in the earth. In Your Name we pray, Amen.

"The Lord wraps Himself in light as with a garment; He stretches out the heavenslike a tent 3) and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds His chariot and rides on the wings of the wind. He makes winds His messengers, flames of fire His servants. He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains." (Psalm 104:1-6)

Judicial Watch exposes more Clinton corruption

As a Washington correspondent for a major Christian radio news program, I got to know Tom Fitton and his investigative organization Judicial Watch. Judicial Watch is a non-partisan foundation that promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law. Judicial Watch seeks to ensure that political and judicial officials do not abuse the powers entrusted to them by the American people. If not for Judicial Watch, Hillary Clinton's email scandal would have been totally swept under the rug. And it's not over. Judicial Watch has released another 296 pages of State Department documents it obtained through a court battle, and those pages reveal even more corruption and negligence by Clinton.

Judicial Watch reports: "The new documents reveal that in April 2009 controversial Clinton Foundation official Doug Band pushed for a job for an associate. In the email Band tells Hillary Clinton's former aides at the State Department Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin that it is "important to take care of [Name Redacted]. Band is reassured by Abedin that "Personnel has been sending him options." Band was co-founder of Teno Strategy with Bill Clinton and a top official of the Clinton Foundation, including its Clinton Global Initiative..." Band also "directs Abedin and Mills to put Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire and Clinton Foundation donor Gilbert Chagoury in touch with the State Department's "substance person" on Lebanon."

Many may recall that Chagoury was convicted in 2000 in Switzerland for laundering money from Nigeria, but agreed to a plea deal and repaid some $66 million to the Nigerian government. Well, Chagoury, according to Judicial Watch, "is a close friend of former President Bill Clinton and a top donor to the Clinton Foundation. He has appeared near the top of the Foundation's donor list as a $1 million to $5 million contributor, according to foundation documents. He also pledged $1 billion to the Clinton Global Initiative." These favors and interactions with the Clinton Foundation appear to be in violation of the ethics agreements that Hillary Clinton agreed to in order to be appointed and confirmed as Secretary of State.

On January 5, 2009 Secretary of State-designate Hillary Clinton sent a letter to State Department Designated Agency Ethics Official James H. Thessin, saying: "For the duration of my appointment as Secretary if I am confirmed, I will not participate personally and substantially in any particular matter involving specific parties in which The William J. Clinton Foundation (or the Clinton Global Initiative) is a party or represents a party. . ." Hillary Clinton's lack of morals and ethics are beyond description. It's not enough to dismiss this because "all" politicians are alike. No one is quite like her. Exodus 23:1 says, "Do not join your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness." We know the truth about Clinton, let us not join hands with her and confirm her unrighteousness.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
