UN Climate Change Conference in Paris Begins Today :
from Environmentalism to Totalitarianism?

World Leaders Convene from Nov. 30-Dec. 11

Dear Praying Friends,

Some of us who have looked into what is behind the current climate change movement and its link to the Agenda 21 effort of the United Nations are concerned that this is not about climatic developments, the evidence for which numerous scientists have challenged. Rather it is an effort by global elitists with Marxist and occultist connections who want to establish a new form of global tyranny. Inspiring them, of course, is the activity of the one Jesus referred to as "the prince of this world" who wants to establish greater domination and control, the hallmark of the demonic realm, to enslave humankind.

Please go here to view a brilliant video interview with Lord Christopher Monckton that is 50 minutes long but well worth listening to in order to understand what the climate change movement is really all about- the diminishing of national sovereignty and the gradual takeover by a global elite. I believe we need to pray authoritatively that this totalitarian agenda (Agenda 21) be exposed for what it really is and for it to be frustrated and stopped if possible. Maurice Strong and other powerful movers like him with a Marxist orientation are apparently behind this. There is an occult aspect to it to give it spiritual power as well. Behind them, of course, stands the "prince of this world" trying to increase his influence through the domination and destruction of humanity, his bottom line.

The UN Climate Change Conference begins in Paris, on Monday, November 30 and runs to December 11. It is crucial that we cover this event in prayer and that any effort to advance world government through diminishing national sovereignty with an appeal to "international law" and "sustainable development" be frustrated and even stopped.

Let's therefore pray in agreement for the following:

1. An unveiling of the global elites behind the nice-sounding, seemingly altruistic language about safeguarding the environment and "sustainable development". Some of these elitists are on record as wanting to greatly reduce the world population, eliminating up to 90% of humankind, and achieve world dominance for themselves through any means possible.

2. That scientists who oppose the so-called data on climate change and point out that it has often been manipulated by those trying to push this global control agenda will be received and heard, not threatened or silenced as "climate deniers" that are "committing a crime against humanity".

3. That the increasing use of such international conferences and agreements will not be successful in advancing the global domination agenda of these elitists and that national leaders will refuse to go along with the surrender of their national sovereignty to faceless, unelected bureaucrats.

4. That occult spiritual forces will be bound and unable to influence this process towards world government.

5. That the global Body of Christ will wake up and see what is going on and oppose this deceptive move towards world tyranny with both prayer and action. Pray for Lord Monckton and others like him to be bold, fearless and protected as they stand up against this endeavor.

New UN Agenda Threatens Our National Sovereignty

(Submitted by: Australian Indigenous Prayer Network)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I share with you for your urgent attention the email below titled New UN Agenda Threatens Our Sovereignty sent out by the Canberra Declaration team. Please read it carefully and understand what is at stake here. Note that out Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop, addressed the United Nations General Assembly on 29 September 2015 - 15 days after Malcolm Turnbull replaced Tony Abbott as our prime minister - and gave Australia's agreement with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals developed by the United Nations and those one-world-government people behind the UN, which are the basis of this "New Agenda", due to come into effect 1 January 2016.

Setting the stage for the new UN Agenda to transform our world is the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, commencing tomorrow 30 November and continuing till 11 December 2015. This conference supports Sustainable Development Goal 13 to "Take Urgent Action to Combat Climate Change and its Impacts'. Our Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and team will be attending and participating in decisions taken.
With love in Christ Jesus,

Kris Schlyder, Coordinator

[Note: Kris Schlyder and his ministry team is asking all to send an email to designated officials in the government of Australia, asking that they vote against this treaty. We ask YOU to do the same here in America, contacting your own elected officials to vote NO on this global climate treaty!]

Article Three:

The fiddling with temperature data is the biggest science scandal ever

When future generations look back on the global-warming scare of the past 30 years, nothing will shock them more than the extent to which the official temperature records - on which the entire panic ultimately rested - were systematically "adjusted" to show the Earth as having warmed much more than the actual data justified.

Two weeks ago, under the headline "How we are being tricked by flawed data on global warming", I wrote about Paul Homewood, who, on his Notalotofpeopleknowthat blog, had checked the published temperature graphs for three weather stations in Paraguay against the temperatures that had originally been recorded. In each instance, the actual trend of 60 years of data had been dramatically reversed, so that a cooling trend was changed to one that showed a marked warming. (The Telegraph UK) Read more here.

Article Four:

World headed toward 'suicide' if no climate agreement: pope

The U.N. climate conference in Paris is most likely humanity's last chance to thwart global environmental disaster, Pope Francis said on Monday, warning the world was "at the limits of suicide".

The pope, who wrote a major document on the environment last June, made the comment in an hour-long news conference aboard the plane returning him to Rome at the end of a six-day trip to Africa.

The freewheeling conversations have become a trademark of his papacy and the few times he takes direct questions from journalists. (Reuters) Read more here.

2. Erdogan praises terror wave as Palestinian 'noble fight' - Israel National News

Amid his diplomatic row with Russia this week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan found time to express support for the latest Palestinian Arab terror wave against Israel.

Speaking at a meeting on Wednesday of finance ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization, Erdogan expressed his full solidarity with the Palestinian Arab people in their struggle against Israel, including the current "Al-Quds Intifada", as Hamas calls it, and which has killed 22 Israelis since the beginning of October.

Erdogan described the terror wave as a Palestinian "noble fight" in defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy places. He blasted Israel for imposing a "siege" on Gaza, saying that "the Gaza Strip has become an open prison because of the continuing siege and this situation must not continue." (Read more)

3. Israeli Defense Minister: We Don't Know if This Terror Wave Will Stop Anytime Soon - Algemeiner

Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said on Friday that defense officials were unsure whether the current wave of Palestinian terrorist attacks convulsing Israel would end any time soon.

"We have a wave of terrorism that's going to be with us for the coming days and probably the coming weeks, and we don't know if it's going to end anytime soon, or when," Ya'alon told an audience at the annual Manufacturers Association of Israel conference in Eilat.

In addition to the indefinite timeline, Ya'alon warned against "taking shortcuts" to solve the spate in stabbings, car-rammings, and shootings of Israelis in cities around the country. (Read more)

4. Report: PLO considering voiding its recognition of Israel - Israel National News

As part of its ongoing diplomatic attack on Israel, Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas and the senior leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) are looking into the possibility of canceling the recognition of Israel by the PLO institutions, the Hebrew-language Walla! news website reported Friday.

According to the report, the move would be an expression of the PA's frustration over the lack of progress in the peace process with Israel. The possibility is set to be discussed at a meeting of the PLO National Council to take place in the coming weeks.

According to the plan, formulated by some senior members of the organization, the National Council will announce that due to the non-establishment of a Palestinian state and Israel's actions in Jerusalem, the PLO's recognition of Israel is null and void. (Read more)

6. Ariel tells Bennett to set red lines for staying in Netanyahu coalition - Jerusalem Post

The Bayit Yehudi party should issue clear red lines for remaining in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government, Bayit Yehudi Minister Uri Ariel wrote in a letter to party leader Naftali Bennett Saturday night.

Ariel wrote the letter following reports of gestures Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is willing to make to the Palestinians to ease tensions. The gestures reportedly include transferring a small portion of Israel-controlled land in Judea and Samaria that is close to Arab cities to the PA for economic development, strengthening the PA's security forces and increasing economic benefits.

"Such gestures would be an ethical crime and a prize for terror that would endanger Israeli lives," Ariel wrote Bennett. (Read more)

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday and the European Union said it would continue its role in Middle East peace diplomacy despite Israel saying it was suspending contact.

Asked about Israel's move on Sunday to suspend contact with the EU over the bloc's reinforcement of labeling rules on imports from Israeli settlements in the West Bank, a European Commission spokeswoman said Mogherini met Netanyahu in Paris on the sidelines of the global climate conference.

"EU-Israel relations are good, broad and deep and this will continue," the spokeswoman told a news briefing in Brussels, playing down the labeling decision as merely the implementation of an existing policy already being enforced by some EU states. (Read more)

The Daily Brief

1. 'Syria is dead, Israel must prepare,' top defense official warns - Times of Israel

The nation state of Syria has collapsed, a fact that Israel must internalize about its northern neighbor, a senior Israeli defense official said Saturday.

"Syria is a dead state, and Israel must understand this and prepare accordingly," Amos Gilad, the director of the political-security division in the Defense Ministry and a former senior Military Intelligence official, told a cultural event in Beersheba.

"[Syrian President Bashar] Assad's grip on the country is faltering, it is a land without rule," Gilad said, according to Army Radio. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we ask for Your wisdom for the Israeli Prime Minister and its other leaders as they work toward peaceful resolutions as war continues to be waged against their country. Let there be no confusion as they seek answers. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, in Your Name, amen. We continue to lift up Israel in prayer, praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

- "For God is not the God of disorder but of peace---as in all the congregations of the Lord's people." (I Corinthians 14:33)*

2. Russia sometimes breaches Israeli air space, top defense official reveals - Times of Israel

Russia has breached Israeli airspace more than once since it began intervening in Syria, a top Israeli defense official revealed Saturday. Because Jerusalem and Moscow maintain close security coordination, however, Amos Gilad added, these violations do not lead to crises such as the one now flaring between Moscow and Ankara after Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet that entered its air space last week.

"Russian air force pilots at times cross into Israeli air space. [But] thanks to the excellent security coordination [between Israel and Russia], which started right after the meeting between [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and [Russian President Vladimir] Putin [two months ago], and in which defined areas of operation were set, the Israel Defense Forces and the Russian military agreed on security agreements," Gilad, who is the director of the political-security division in the Defense Ministry, said at a public event in Beersheba.

"If there is a violation [of Israeli airspace], we know what to do and how to prevent an escalation," Gilad noted. (Read more)

- Lord we thank You for the coordination between Israel and Russia, which has provided successful and peaceful operations between these countries in the air and on the ground. Thank You for protecting the pilots and other military personnel. Thank You, too, for the wisdom You continue to grant to P.M. Netanyahu as he forges alliances, with discretion, to protect his nation. We ask this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

- "No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from Me, declares the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)

3. Putin 'fully mobilized' to tackle threat from Turkey, says Kremlin - Jerusalem Post

MOSCOW- President Vladimir Putin is fully mobilized to tackle what the Kremlin regards as an unprecedented threat from Turkey following the shooting down of one of its warplanes by a Turkish F-16, the Russian leader's spokesman said on Saturday.

In comments which underscore how angry the Kremlin still is over the incident, Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesman, called the behavior of the Turkish air force "absolute madness" and said Ankara's subsequent handling of the crisis had reminded him of the "theater of the absurd."

"Nobody has the right to traitorously shoot down a Russian plane from behind," Peskov told Russia's "News on Saturday" TV program, calling Turkish evidence purporting to show the Russian SU-24 jet had violated Turkish air space "cartoons". (Read more)

- Abba Father, we ask that all things hidden be revealed in the shooting down of the Russian plane as Turkey felt it was defending its air space. Let your hand hold back Turkey and Russia so that no war comes to the nations. We pray for the families of the pilots who lost their lives in the conflict. In the Precious and Holy name of Jesus we lift up this prayer. Amen.

- "A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish." (Proverbs 19:9)

4. At NATO, Turkey remains defiant over Russian jet - Reuters

Turkey's prime minister dismissed on Monday any suggestion Ankara should apologize for downing a Russian warplane in its airspace last week, after winning strong NATO support for the right to defend itself.

Six days after NATO member Turkey shot down the Russian bomber in the first known incident of its kind since the Cold War, calls for calm have gone largely unheeded as Ankara refuses to back down and Russia responds with sanctions."No country should ask us to apologize," Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told reporters following a meeting with NATO's secretary general at alliance headquarters in Brussels. "The protection of our land borders, our airspace, is not only a right, it is a duty," he said. "We apologize for committing mistakes, not for doing our duty." (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank You that You are a God of miracles, because we need a miracle in this situation. As we pray for "all in authority," we ask that You visit the hearts of the leaders of these two nations and help them to calm down and move in peace and not haste. We ask this in Your name, amen and amen.

- "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." (Jer. 32:17)

5. Germany to deploy 1,200 troops to help fight Islamic State - Times of Israel

Germany plans to deploy 1,200 soldiers to help in the fight against the Islamic State, the chief of staff said Sunday. The troops would not take part in combat operations and would only be involved in reconnaissance and support roles, and the move requires approval from parliament, according to a report in the Telegraph.

"From a military point of view, some 1,200 soldiers are expected to be needed to operate the planes and ships," Bundeswehr Chief of Staff Volker Wieker told the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag.

If approved, the soldiers could be dispatched before the end of the year, and would be Germany's largest current foreign military deployment. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, for this report! We ask Your Hand to protect these troops from Germany as they go forth to assist in the war against ISIS, and for success in all they do. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

AMMAN/BEIRUT Air strikes believed to have been carried out by Russian jets killed at least 30 people in the town of Ariha in northwestern Syria on Sunday, rescue workers in the rebel-held area said, part of an escalation of Russian strikes near the Turkish border.

In separate air strikes closer to the frontier with Turkey, jets believed to be Russian hit a truck depot that was also struck on Thursday, destroying 10 trailers and killing five people, a rebel in the area said. (Read more)

- Father, we continue to watch in amazement as You use one of our long-time enemies, the nation of Russia, to do battle against an even fiercer and more dangerous enemy: ISIS. Pope Francis has told worshippers in a mosque in the Central African Republic that "Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters". He was speaking to Muslims who had sought shelter in the capital Bangui after nearly three years of violence between Christians and Muslims. The mosque visit was seen as perhaps the most difficult part of his Africa tour, a BBC correspondent says. (Read more)

8. IMF Approves Reserve-Currency Status for China's Yuan - Bloomberg

The IMF will add the yuan to its basket of reserve currencies, an international stamp of approval of the strides China has made integrating into a global economic system dominated for decades by the U.S., Europe and Japan.

The question is whether China, which will host meetings of the Group of 20 economies next year, will try to leverage the IMF's support to pursue broader changes to the global monetary system. In his 2009 speech, Zhou suggested the IMF expand the use of the SDR to tap its potential as a "super-sovereign reserve currency." (Read more)

- Lord God Almighty, we thank You that You hold the nations, and their economic structures, in Your Hand. We ask that this adjustment made today by the IMF would be used for the blessing of our nation and not for any other purpose. We seek Your guidance, O Lord, in this and all other matters, in Your name, amen.

- "The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." (Psalm 24:1)

9. More than a dozen dead as wintry storm lingers over Southern Plains states - Fox News

A deadly storm that has caused flooding and coated parts of the southern Plains in ice during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend dumped more rain on already swollen rivers in parts of North Texas and Arkansas on Sunday and made driving dangerous in parts of Oklahoma. The band of storms that has been moving through parts of the Plains and the Midwest since Thursday has been blamed for at least 14 deaths, including eight in Texas and six in Kansas.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation said roads in the Panhandle remained slick after the slow-moving storm dropped ice and freezing rain in the region. Utilities in Oklahoma said the ice storms helped cut power to more than 71,000 as of Sunday afternoon. In parts of North Texas and Arkansas, the concern was flooding, with flood watches and warnings in effect through Sunday evening. (Read more)

- Our prayers are with the families of those who have lost loved ones in this storm. Let the roads be safe for travel and all utilities restored. Let them know that You, Lord, are their comforter, in Your name, we pray, amen.

"president's" Thanksgiving address is offensive

The occupant of the Oval Office compared the Syrian "refugees" to the Pilgrims on the Mayflower in his Thanksgiving address to America. This is offensive. The Pilgrims came to this land because they were being persecuted by the Church of England for their religious beliefs. The Syrians are being resettled in America because their native country is in a Muslim civil war between a secular Shiite regime and Sunni terrorists. Nearly half the Pilgrims died the first winter as they exercised freedom of religion on the North American continent. To the so-called "refugees," freedom of religion is Americans submitting to and welcoming their death cult, where members die trying to kill innocent civilians.

In a not-so-veiled attempt to use Thanksgiving as a way to advance his Islamic colonization program in America, the "president" said in his weekly address, "Nearly four centuries after the Mayflower set sail, the world is still full of pilgrims -- men and women who want nothing more than the chance for a safer, better future for themselves and their families." He said, "And I've been touched by the generosity of the Americans who've written me letters and emails in recent weeks, offering to open their homes to refugees fleeing the brutality of ISIL." The truth of the matter is that these "refugees" are not really refugees, they are being resettled. The true refugees are the Christians in Syria who have no place to go except to fight, submit or die. They are not being allowed entry into the US.
The NY Police Department employed state of the art security measures to protect Americans from these Islamists during the Thanksgiving Day parade. The Times reports that John J. Miller, NYPD's deputy commissioner for intelligence and counterterrorism says what the department has learned from attacks in Paris affirmed its approach to counterterrorism: "The first thing you see from Paris is these are people who included foreign fighters, who are hardened, trained and experienced. They weren't gathered up by Twitter chats, online, in Paris; they were sent there with a specific task and targets, likely from ISIS command and control, and it was a well-organized plot."
Alabama Republican Senator Jeff Sessions Tuesday released a list of 12 vetted "refugees" who were arrested this year because they promptly joined jihadi plots to attack the US. Yet the "president" lectures in his Thanksgiving address that: "Now, people should remember that no refugee can enter our borders until they undergo the highest security checks of anyone traveling to the United States." The "president's" Islamic colonization program for America is hand in glove with his foreign policy partner the Muslim Brotherhood's plan to take over North America. This alone is a threat to national security. To use the Mayflower Pilgrims to justify it is over the top offensive. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Deception is the "president's" stock and trade.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Revival in the Middle East (Part One)

God Will Not Be Stopped:

The Great Underground Revival in the Middle East

Dear Friends,

Breaking Christian News is reporting a move of revival that is now sweeping through the nations of the Middle East. Praise the Lord!

Based upon reports and research carried out by Joel Rosenberg, BCN has carefully sited how the Holy Spirit is now bringing multitudes to Christ in eight nations in the Middle East.

For the next eight days, we will report this news to you, one nation at a time, so that you can lift up the move of the Spirit in these nations, calling forth the Harvest Abba has set aside for His Kingdom.

Thank you, Breaking Christian News, and thank you, too, Joel Rosenberg! AMEN!

INTRODUCTION:

Rosenberg's Insights Into the Middle-Eastern Revival

Joel Rosenberg, an evangelical researcher, author and resident of Israel has documented the recent upsurge of Christianity in the Middle-East. Through first-hand reconnaissance, coupled with reports from Arabic nationals, Rosenberg demonstrates that Christianity is rising rapidly in the world of Islam.

Admittedly some of the following statistics have shifted in the aftermath of the ISIS and other violent demonstrations against Christians. Those who follow Jesus have been slaughtered and have experienced severe persecution in this region.

Nevertheless, Joel Rosenberg's observations provide a window into many amazing developments. Some of the particulars can certainly be debated, but in many of the Mediterranean nations, Christianity is making extraordinary inroads. Though the subsequent conversion figures are impossible to confirm, even in their imprecision, they provide a snapshot of what's transpiring in the Middle East.

SUDAN

A number of reports suggest that increasing numbers of Christ-followers are emerging in the brutal, war-torn nation of Sudan. Here, in the Nile River Valley-along the Islamic strongholds of Northern Africa-it is being noted that:

"One million Sudanese have turned to Christ since the year 2000-not in spite of persecution, war and genocide, but because of them ... the estimated total number of Believers in the country is more than 5.5 million."

Many are convinced that the great brutalities that this nation has encountered are becoming a catalyst for the expansion and growth of Christianity. Rather than inhibiting the Church, the war is actually propelling it.

Libya: Coptic Christian brothers 'targeted and killed' for their faith

Coptic Christians in Libya are afraid for their lives following the murder of two Egyptian brothers earlier this month.

The bodies of Wasfy Bakhit Gad Mikhail, 37, and his brother Fahmy, 27, were found on November 13 near Al Khums, western Libya. Medical professionals determined that they had been killed on November 12 by gunshots to the head.

According to their other brother, Sabry, who lived with the pair in Misrata, the trio had travelled to Libya to work as construction labourers and send money home to their families.

Wasfy and Fahmy had responded to a request about building a concrete roof on November 6. They were picked up by a man who was supposed to take them to the location, but did not return home.

Sabry identified the bodies on November 16, and told International Christian Concern (ICC) that according to the hospital, when the bodies arrived "there were black gloves in their hands with Islamic phrases on them".

ICC said that there are militants loyal to Islamic State operating in Libya, where the jihadist group is said to be tightening its grip. Earlier this year, 21 Coptic Christians were beheaded in Libya by ISIS, which led to Egypt conducting air strikes on its neighbouring country. Libya's proximity to Europe is believed to be one of its major attractions to militants.
A funeral service was held for the brothers in their home village of Awlad Ali in Egypt last Wednesday. Their church believes they were martyred for their faith.

"They were targeted and killed because they are Christians," Father Sulaiman Botros, who led the service, told ICC.

"They kept the faith and refused to deny the Lord Jesus Christ. They are our church's martyrs. We are proud of them. They aren't dead but have been saved by God in Heaven.

"They have entered into glory and there are in a better place than all of us. They've got their crown in heaven and they are with Jesus now, no more pain for them, only joy and peace." (Christian Today) Read more.

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

BE STILL, MY SOUL

"Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10)

Lyrics

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side. Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain. Leave to thy God to order and provide; In every change, He faithful will remain. Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake To guide the future, as He has the past. Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart, And all is darkened in the vale of tears, Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart, Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears. Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay From His own fullness all He takes away.

Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on When we shall be forever with the Lord. When disappointment, grief and fear are gone, Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored. Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.
Be still, my soul: begin the song of praise On earth, believing, to Thy Lord on high; Acknowledge Him in all thy words and ways, So shall He view thee with a well pleased eye. Be still, my soul: the Sun of life divine Through passing clouds shall but more brightly shine.

Ancient underground city in Cappadocia will 'rewrite history'

(Turkey)-The UNESCO world heritage city of Cappadocia, which in New Testament days was located next to Armenia and Galatia, has long been a pilgrim destination for Christians following the trail of Paul the Apostle.

It was in Cappadocia that Paul first established a Christian colony. There too, the Romans tortured the first Christians. Its "fairy like" landscape of natural caves offered many hiding places as a refuge for the persecuted Church, first from the Romans, and then later, Muslims.

An underground city found in Turkey's touristic Cappadocia will "rewrite the history of the city," according to the mayor in the Central Anatolian NevÅŸehir province, adding they had discovered people had permanently lived in the underground city, unlike other cities which were mostly carved into rocks for temporary protection.

Hasan Ãœnver, the mayor of NevÅŸehir, where Cappadocia is located, said the new findings at the ancient underground city in the province would rewrite history.

"When the works are finalized the history of Cappadocia will be rewritten," said Ãœnver, adding the findings found during the excavations dated back as the Hittite era.

"We have reached significant discoveries; new long tunnels and spaces where people lived all together. Places where linseed oil was produced, chapels and tunnels combining various living spaces in the underground city were found," said Ãœnver.

The underground city was discovered by a Turkish Housing Development Administration (TOKÄ°) urban transformation project. Some 1,500 buildings located in and around the NevÅŸehir fortress were demolished, and the underground city was discovered when the earthmoving to construct new buildings began.

Stating that the unearthed tunnels and spaces were different than other underground cities across the world, Ãœnver said ancient people had lived there permanently.

"This is a real underground city where they resided permanently and not like other underground cities where they had lived temporarily," said Ãœnver. "We are definite that we will also reach very important information and discoveries regarding world history." (The Daily News; Turkey) Read more here.
