A Rainbow over the Supreme Court

This photo of the front of the Supreme Court was taken the night before the hearings on gay marriage: Monday, April 27, at sunset. Please remain with us in prayer over the pending decision on traditional marriage until the verdict has been rendered.

" . . . from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. . . What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Mark 10: 6,9)

Thank You, Lord, for watching over this Court. In Jesus' name, amen.

The Middle East in Focus

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10)

1. Russian Missile Sale to Iran Involves Unseen Deals With Israel -Bloomberg

Last month, when President Vladimir Putin of Russia announced plans to sell a powerful anti-missile system to Iran before the lifting of international sanctions, Israel was quick to join the U.S. in expressing shock and anger.

But behind the public announcements is a little-known web of arms negotiations and secret diplomacy. In recent years, Israel and Russia have engaged in a complex dance, with Israel selling drones to Russia while remaining conspicuously neutral toward Ukraine and hoping to stave off Iranian military development. The dance may not be over.

2. Palestinian human rights activist calls for Gazan spring -Jerusalem Online

Speaking at the Shurat HaDin Towards a New Law of War Conference in Jerusalem, Palestinian human rights activist Bassem Eid declared that the reason why the international community is less concerned about the plight of the Palestinian refugees living in the Yarmouk Refugee Camp in Syria than it is about Israel is because "if there are no Jews, there is no news." Eid clarified that despite the international perception to the contrary, the Palestinians suffer mainly because of their leadership: "The civilians must wake up to the fact that rights were never given by the leaders or a government. They must be taken. I want to see a Gazan spring against Hamas that is ruining daily lives in the coastal strip. The people of Gaza are dying several times a day. They are living in hell."

3. Lecturer refuses to apologize for racial remarks - Jerusalem Online

Only 24 hours after the protest of Israeli citizens of Ethiopian descent took place in Tel-Aviv, Channel 2 News revealed a recording from the Pe'er College in Holon, in which a lecturer is heard verbally attacking an Israeli-Ethiopian student. In an interview, the student, Osnat Turnech, talks about the incident, "I felt humiliated, I was profoundly offended."

"It just doesn't make sense that someone whose job is to teach me, to educate me, says things like that," Osnat said. "She truly believes in what she said. She insisted that we needed to keep our heads down, to be thankful. It is humiliating, I myself never addressed anyone in such a manner. I was taught to respect people just for being people."

4. UN's Syria Envoy Opens Talks in Geneva - Israel National News

The UN's peace envoy for Syria on Tuesday launched wide-ranging consultations in Geneva with regional and domestic players, including Iran, in a bid to revive stalled talks to end the conflict.

Staffan de Mistura said talks with the Syrian government and some 40 groups, including "political, military actors, women, civil society, victims, the diaspora", would also rope in some 20 regional and international players, according to the AFP news agency.

Iran, a key player in the conflict, had been excluded from the stalled Geneva I and Geneva II peace deals. The current dialogue will also include the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.

5. IDF Begins its Move to the South - Israel National News

The IDF's military police school is moving to the IDF's long-delayed new training base compound in the Negev this week, and will be the first group to take residency at the compound which contains eight bases.

Already last week the force began settling into the training base, and this week the staff and students are expected to arrive.

"We view the transition as a huge opportunity," said the military police base's commander, Lt. Col. Avichai Mibar. "We were chosen to serve as pioneers in the transition, and that comes after the extensive preparations we did in the past two years. This is a great historical merit, and we feel with honor the responsibility placed on us as pioneers."

6. Bennett said to demand Foreign Ministry after Liberman exit -Times of Israel

Jewish Home leader Naftali Bennett was expected to demand the foreign portfolio after incumbent Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman announced on Monday that he was resigning and would not join a new governing coalition with the ruling Likud party.

Jewish Home held an emergency meeting Monday night, hours after the Likud signed a deal with the ultra-Orthodox party Shas and following Liberman's dramatic announcement, which threw a wrench in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's attempts to form a government before a looming deadline Thursday.

7. Time running out for Netanyahu as coalition talks stall again - Jerusalem Online

With less than 48 hours to present his new government to President Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again ran into difficulties Tuesday as negotiations with key coalition partner Bayit Yehudi stalled over the allocation of portfolios. Bayit Yehudi is fuming over the Likud coalition agreement with Shas, which gives the Sephardi Orthodox party control over the Ministry of Religious Services. Reports say that one the habayit hayehudi demands is to appoint Ayelet Shaked as Justice Minster. The departure of Avigdor Leiberman and his six-seat Yisrael Beytenu party on Monday has left Netanyahu with what looks likely to be a narrow 61-member government, if he can in fact put a coalition together. If Netanyahu fails to present his government, the president then repeats the process - either by extending the mandate to Netanyahu again or giving it to someone else. If another 100 days pass without a coalition being formed, new elections are called and the entire process begins anew. Shas leader Arie Deri upon signing the deal with Netanyahu urged the Zionist camp leader Isaak Hertzog to join a unity government despite the fact the Hertzog announced he would not join Netnayhu's new government.

8. Ultra-Orthodox parties aim to roll back religious reform - Times of Israel

JTA - Israel's last governing coalition - divided on war, peace and economics - did agree on one thing: Israel's religious policies needed to change.

Now it appears that the incoming coalition will be organized around the opposite principle: Those changes must end.

A coalition agreement signed last week between the Likud party led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the ultra-Orthodox United Torah Judaism faction promises to dismantle a raft of legislation enacted in the last two years that chipped away at several longstanding entitlements enjoyed by the ultra-Orthodox community, also known as Haredi. Shas, the Sephardic ultra-Orthodox party, signed its own coalition agreement with Likud this week that will cement the power of religious parties in the next government.

1. Nasrallah: If Assad falls, Hezbollah falls - Ynet News

Syrian President Bashar Assad and his regime cannot fall, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has said, as it would also mean the fall of Hezbollah and the so-called axis of resistance, Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar, a Hezbollah mouthpiece, reported Tuesday. Nasrallah's Lebanon-based organization has strong ties to the Syrian regime, and has dispatched its own fighters to join Assad's battle against Syrian opposition forces seeking to oust him.

2. Liquidity drought could spark market bloodbath, warns IIF - Telegraph

Investors face a "painful" adjustment in a world of evaporating liquidity and higher US interest rates that will trigger huge market swings with potentially catastrophic consequences... Timothy Adams, the chief executive of the IIF, which represents the world's biggest banks, described liquidity as the "top issue" at high level meetings of central bankers, chief executives and other financial institutions.

4. Fears over black helicopters go mainstream - WND

U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, released a public statement Tuesday responding to constituents' worries about Jade Helm 15, a previously announced military exercise that is to have thousands of military personnel training on public - and even private - property outside of military bases. Across a half a dozen states.

"Over the past few weeks, my office has been inundated with calls referring to the Jade Helm 15 military exercise scheduled to take place between July 15 and September 15, 2015. This military practice has some concerned that the U.S. Army is preparing for modern-day martial law," Gohmert said. "Certainly, I can understand these concerns. When leaders within the current administration believe that major threats to the country include those who support the Constitution, are military veterans, or even 'cling to guns or religion,' patriotic Americans have reason to be concerned.

We encourage readers to click on the following link to read more about Jade Helm 15.

- Father, we agree with Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas when he states; the map of the exercise needs to change, the names on the map need to change, and the tone of the exercise needs to be completely revamped so the federal government is not intentionally practicing war against its own states."Father, we pray that enough pressure is placed on this exercise that the government will withdraw its plans.

- He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. (Psalm 62:6)

An undersea volcano situated 300 miles (480 km) off the coast of Oregon is thought to be erupting after signs of magma were spotted near its deep sea vent. Geologists predicted the volcano, called Axial Seamount, would erupt this year during a public lecture in September.

- Abba Father, We praise You for the wonders of Your science are truly amazing. You are our Creator and You have shared with man the ability to track these underwater volcanic eruptions. We thank You and we praise You. In His Name we pray, Amen.

-"How great are His signs And how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom And His dominion is from generation to generation. (Daniel 4:3)

The Daily Jot

Jade Helm: Training or prophetic demise?

The Jade Helm 15 special forces "training" is scheduled to take place between July 15 and September 15 spanning across Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Texas and Utah. It is considered among the largest peacetime domestic military exercises in sixty years. Conspiracy theorists are predicting the exercise is a possible preparation for martial law. The liberal news media ridicules their worries, reporting that it is a training exercise merely to give military special operations an edge in the Middle East theater where civilian infiltration is necessary. The debate was elevated this week when the Pentagon denied conspiracy claims, and when a Congressman issued a statement.

The Defense Department pulled a Wizard of Oz move, telling Americans to not pay attention to the operations behind the curtain; there is nothing to see. Pentagon Spokesman Army Col. Steve Warren told reporters Monday, "Operation Jade Helm poses no threat to any American's civil liberties. Operation Jade Helm is being conducted by Americans--by, specifically, American special forces personnel. In every case, extensive coordination has been completed with whoever's responsible for that land. In the case of private land, we've spoken and made detailed coordination with the patriotic Americans who have volunteered their land for the use of this important training."

Citing a 2009 White House directed Pentagon report depicting conservatives and Christians as "extremists" and a map of the Jade Helm operation that looks amazingly similar to the red state-blue state final of the 2012 presidential election, Texas Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert said in a statement: "Once I observed the map depicting 'hostile,' 'permissive,' and 'uncertain' states and locations, I was rather appalled that the hostile areas amazingly have a Republican majority, 'cling to their guns and religion,' and believe in the sanctity of the United States Constitution. When the federal government begins, even in practice, games or exercises, to consider any US city or state in 'hostile' control and trying to retake it, the message becomes extremely calloused and suspicious."

2 Timothy prophesies of the latter days. Verse 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Throughout history, totalitarian regimes have used military exercises to demonstrate strength. Ruthless communists have used infiltration of citizens to identify potential opposition and silence them. When a Pentagon spokesman says the exercise is being conducted by Americans and the military has coordinated with private citizens in conjunction with a map labeling states that didn't vote for the current "president" as hostile, alarm bells should be sounding. Is this a deceptive template for a future action? Suspend your disbelief. Take heed and be prepared to follow God not man.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Update: National Day of Prayer

For Such A Time As This

The 64th annual National Day of Prayer is tomorrow, Thursday, May 7. Join the prayer movement at www.nationaldayofprayer.org

Prayer has always been used in this country for guidance, protection, and strength, even before we were a nation or a handful of colonies. The Pilgrims at Plymouth relied on prayer during their first and darkest winter. Our Founding Fathers also called for prayer during the Constitutional Congress. In their eyes, our recently created nation and freedoms were a direct gift from God. And being a gift from God, there was only one way to ensure protection - through prayer.
May 1, 2015 National Day of Prayer Task Force Articles Leave a comment Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish. Esther 4:16 At the height of the glory of the Persian Empire, among the Jewish families who did not return to Jerusalem after being taken into captivity by the Babylonians was a man named Mordecai and his orphan cousin, Esther. The story of her rise from total obscurity to become the queen of the world's most powerful monarch of that time, King Xerxes, illustrates how God uses events and people as instruments to fulfill His plans in the world. Xerxes elevated his most trusted advisor Haman, who ordered everyone to kneel before him whenever in his company. When Mordecai repeatedly refused to kneel, the enraged and egotistical Haman discovered that Mordecai was Jewish. In a villainous moment, perhaps rivaled in history only by the Holocaust, Haman convinced Xerxes to sign a law to have all the Jews exterminated and to seize their property. Hearing of the new law, Mordecai pleaded with Esther, urging her to go to the king and beg for mercy and plead for her people. "And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14). After calling upon the Jews in the capital city to fast and pray, Esther risked her own life, exposed Haman's plot and true character, and saved the entire nation. Even today, Jews celebrate their deliverance through the Feast of Purim. Similarly, as American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, President Franklin Roosevelt called for our nation to unite in prayer. He also offered a prayer to prepare each citizen for the road ahead. "Let our hearts be stout, to wait out the long travail, to bear sorrows that may come, to impart our courage unto our sons wheresoever they may be. And, O Lord, give us faith. Give us faith in Thee." The victory that followed on June 6, 1944, also known as D-day, began the march to Berlin. Eighteen months later, WWII was over, and one of the world's greatest evils had been defeated. The prayers of a nation had been a powerful force. President Abraham Lincoln knew this well. It was his belief that, "It is the duty of nations as well as men, to owe their dependence upon the overruling power of God." When it came to the fate of the nation, he practiced what he preached. Before the battle of Gettysburg, he turned to God in prayer. "I went to my room one day, and I locked the door and got down on my knees before Almighty God and prayed to Him mightily for victory at Gettysburg." Won by the Union, Gettysburg was one of the turning points in the war that ended slavery and kept the states united.
Today, the need for prayer is as great as ever. Our nation again faces battlefields, along with an epidemic of broken homes, violence, sexual immorality, and social strife. As the heroes of our nation did in the past, we must again bow our heads in prayer. We must ask the Lord to bless our leaders with wisdom and protection, and that we will have the fortitude to overcome the challenges at hand. If Esther, Mordecai, Roosevelt, the Pilgrims, and Lincoln never underestimated the power of prayer, neither should we.

Today's NDR Prayer Points

Suggested Repentance Prayer Points:

Wednesday, May 6

Personal repentance

Lord I repent that I'm not awake spiritually as were Your believers at Pentecost. Give me Your courage to come out from the apostasy all around me. In these globally tumultuous times I need Your Divine assistance. I need to hear Your voice. Forgive me for not listening to You. I know You are standing at the door of my heart to mentor me to clean up my soul to be more like You. Forgive me for not letting You in. Make me part of a new Pentecost so that I can be fully filled with Your Holy Spirit to advance Your Kingdom.

National repentance

Lord I repent that we believers in You in the USA have often chosen legalism over the Spirit of Jesus. We have placed creeds over Christ. We have been divided as Your body. We are too often offended with each other and have too often avoided leadership positions in the nation where we could preach You to our people and produce Godly policies. In a dying culture we have rarely been the salt and light You called us to be. Lord, in this place of desperation as a nation, seeing Your Light dim rapidly, we cry out for You to awaken us, to make in us a new Pentecost. I know there can't be revival without repentance, Lord. Restore our Divine destiny. May there now be an avalanche of repentance among believers in this nation, starting with me.

A Warning from Anne Graham Lotz

A Warning from Anne Graham Lotz:

MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

"For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now . . ." - (Matthew 24:21)

Dear Friends,

MAYDAY! MAYDAY! is an international distress call that signals a life-threatening emergency. And it's the call to cry out that I am issuing May 15-May 23. These are the nine days between the Day of the Ascension of Jesus and the Day of Pentecost that have Biblically and traditionally been days of prayer and fasting for an outpouring of God's Spirit.

. . . I'm asking you to please partner with me, and invite everyone on your email address list, or who follows you on facebook or twitter, to join us. I will be posting a blog this Thursday, April 30, at http://www.annegrahamlotz.org/mayday/ that will include specific information on how to participate. Please feel free to forward this letter to your constituents or use it in any way that would be helpful.
I will provide a prayer I have written for each of the 9 days to help unite us in one spirit and one voice as we cry out to God. Those who receive the eBlast are invited to sign up for the daily email prayers. Please be assured there is no other agenda to this initiative. This is not about promoting anything or anyone. This is all about calling God's people together to pray, before it's too late, and judgment falls on our nation. Please let me hear back from you as soon as possible. Time is short.

Urgently,

Anne Graham Lotz

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. (Psalm 107:19)
