1. FBI, DHS WARN OF SMALL PLANE TERROR THREATS RE: 9/11 ANNIVERSARY
The FBI and Homeland Security have issued a nationwide warning about Al Qaeda threats to small airplanes, just days before the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks. Authorities say there is no specific or credible terrorist threat for the 10-year anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. But they have stepped up security across America as a precaution.
"Al Qaeda and its affiliates have maintained an interest in obtaining aviation training, particularly on small aircraft, and in recruiting Western individuals for training in Europe or the United States, although we do not have current, credible information or intelligence of an imminent attack being planned," according to the bulletin obtained by The Associated Press. 2. BIN LADEN PLOTTED NEW ATTACK ON 9/11
Osama bin Laden was working to assemble a team of militants to attack the U.S. on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, according to communications Navy SEALs seized from his Pakistani hideout when they killed the al Qaeda leader this spring.Bin Laden and his operations chief, Attiyah Abd al-Rahman, swapped views about the composition of the attack team, with bin Laden repeatedly rejecting names that Mr. Rahman suggested, according to U.S. officials familiar with the intelligence taken from the bin Laden compound.
The plans were only in the discussion phase, U.S. officials said. They haven't seen any signs the nascent plot ever went beyond the early planning, the officials said. Still, earlier this month in his first meeting with senior staff at the Central Intelligence Agency, acting Director Michael Morell told his staff that one of their top priorities would be to make sure that neither that plan nor any others were carried out. 3. SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS REMAIN INCOMPLETE STATES 9/11 COMMISSION
The U.S. is safer from terrorism than it was before Sept. 11, 2001, but gaps remain, particularly in aviation security, intelligence reform and congressional oversight, according to the 9/11 Commission. "There were major problems" in establishing a new director of national intelligence to lead U.S. spy agencies, and problems with congressional oversight are now worse than they were in 2001, commission member John F. Lehman told The Washington Times. As for aviation security, the "current system is not efficient, there is no cost-benefit analysis and the screening technology can be defeated" to get explosives and firearms onto planes, said Mr. Lehman, who served as Navy secretary under President Ronald Reagan. The 10-member commission, set up by President George W. Bush 15 months after the 9/11 attacks, was charged with finding out how al Qaeda's plot to crash hijacked airliners into the centers of U.S. economic, military and political power succeeded - and what changes were needed to protect the country against future attacks.
The director of national intelligence "has no authority ... he's just a cheerleader," Mr. Hamilton said, noting that there have been four people in the post in six years. Other areas where commissioners said their recommendations remained unfulfilled include the establishment of a biometric border for the United States, secure identity documents for U.S. citizens and a strong executive branch oversight committee to protect privacy and civil liberties. 4. WHITE HOUSE ISSUES 9/11 OBSERVANCE GUIDELINES
The White House has issued guidelines to government officials at home and abroad detailing how to commemorate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Muslim Cult Sept. 11 attacks and suggesting that references to the Moslem cult called Al Qaeda be minimized, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
The internal documents - provided to the paper by officials in various federal agencies - set up instructions on how to honor the memory of those who died on Sept. 11 and warn Americans of the possibility of another Muslim cult terrorist attack.
The document states that Osama bin Laden's death is a reason for officials to "minimize references to Al Qaeda." The guidelines tell officials to emphasize that "Al Qaeda and its adherents have become increasingly irrelevant," and to reference the lack of any major role Al Qaeda played in the Arab Spring. Al Qaeda "represents the past," the guidelines state, while peaceful protests in Arab countries "represent the future." (Politico) Read more.

5. NEW YORK MAYOR BLOOMBERG BANS RELIGION AT 9/11 CEREMONY
Christian groups were outraged Wednesday to learn that New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is excluding religion from the 10th anniversary ceremony commemorating the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center. "This is America, and to have a memorial service where there's no prayer, this appears to be insanity to me," former Deputy Mayor Rudy Washington told a reporter. "I feel like America has lost its way." (NewsMax)

Family Research Council (FRC) is gathering petitions that join New York City Councilman Fernando Cabrera's efforts to urge Mayor Michael Bloomberg to reverse his decision to prevent clergy and first responders from participating in the Ground Zero commemoration. 1. CONGRESS RETURNS, UNPOPULAR AS WELL AS DIVIDED
Congress returns to work this coming week, divided over measures to create jobs and scorned by the nation it was elected to help lead.
After a five-week break, Republican and Democratic leaders alike promise action to try and ease the country's 9.1 percent unemployment rate and boost an economy that is barely growing. President Barack Obama goes first on Thursday night with a speech to lawmakers and a prime-time national television audience.
A new committee, comprised of lawmakers in both parties from both houses and armed with extraordinary powers, is expected to hold its first meeting this week as it begins work on a plan to make long-term deficit cuts. The panel was created as part of last month's agreement to reduce red ink and avert a government default. It faces a Nov. 23 deadline for action. (Chrisitan Coalition of America; CBN News) Read more.
- As Congress returns this week, let us redouble our efforts in prayer by asking our Lord for the grace to do so. He has a plan, and as we continue to "pray through" from a Kingdom perspective, we will see His will prevail.
Lift up each member of Congress and the Senate, asking them for grace to help in time of need. Where repentance is necessary, ask our Lord to burden hearts, bringing them to Him, unto salvatiion. There IS hope for our future as a nation, for our hope rests in the Lord.

2. HOUSE GOP REVS UP AGENDA FOR THE FALL: REPEAL, REDUCE, REIN IN . . .
House Republicans are planning votes for almost every week this fall in an effort to repeal environmental and labor requirements on business that they say have hampered job growth.
With everyone from President Obama to his Republican challengers in the 2012 campaign focusing on ways to spur economic growth, House Republicans will roll out plans Monday to fight regulations from the National Labor Relations Board, pollution rules handed down by the Environmental Protection Agency and regulations that affect health plans for small businesses. In addition, the lawmakers plan to urge a 20 percent tax deduction for small businesses.
"It is essential that the House continue our focus on the jobs crisis," House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (Va.) wrote in a memo to be sent to GOP lawmakers Monday. (Washington Post) Read more.

3. WHITE HOUSE PREDICTS TRILLION-DOLLAR DEFICITS FOR THE NEXT DECADE
Obama Addresses Nation on Jobs This Week
Ahead of Obama's major economic speech next week, the White House on Thursday released a gloomy picture of the government's finances that shows that, even with the deficit supercommittee's action, the government will pile up nearly $10 trillion in deficits over the next decade.
The numbers were part of the administration's midsession budget review, a document the White House is required to produce - though in this case they were well more than a month past the deadline as they waited to see the results of August's debt deal negotiated by Mr. Obama with congressional Republicans.(Washington Post) Read more.
- As the president prepares to give his speech to Congress this week, pray for the protection of all members who will be seated that night for a joint session of Congress. As a nation, we are in desperate straits. Would this be caused, in part, by our incessant "hammering" of Israel to give up its land ot the Palestinians? Scripture promises that a curse will follow. (Gen. 12:3)
In the meantime, offer up a sacrifice of praise unto the Lord, from when cometh our help. Amen.

4. JOBS, JOBS, JOBS -- FOR SAUDI ARABIA
The very day Obama announced he would speak to the nation on job creation, his Administration announced regulations that would kill jobs and increase dependence on Islamic nations for energy. As a result of the regulations coal mines will close, older oil refineries will close, and an additional $7 billion a year will be spent by businesses on more regulation. Corporations must recover the money someplace, and that means fewer jobs, Meanwhile the Administration has shut down "until further notice" the North Anna Nuclear Power Plant in Virginia, which was not damaged during the earthquake in August. It will probably never reopen, causing even more oil to be imported. (Religious Freedom Coalition)
- Father, we come before You with the problem of the man in charge saying one thing and his people doing another. We ask You to change the plans of the administration, as they are destructive to Your People and to America. We bind the wicked intent of their actions. Lord, we ask that the American people as a whole will not be deceived into believing the lies that are put out there for our consumption.

5. EVIDENCE SUGGESTS COVER-UP IN ATF SCANDAL, AS MORE GUNS FOUND
Just hours after the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, federal officials tried to cover up evidence that the gun that killed Terry was one the government intentionally helped sell to the Mexican cartels in a weapons trafficking program known as Operation Fast and Furious.
The revelation comes just days after a huge shake-up of government officials who oversaw the failed anti-gun trafficking program and Congress renewed its demand for more answers. Also late Thursday, Sen. Charles Grassley's office revealed that 31 more Fast and Furious guns have been found at 12 violent crime scenes in Mexico.
In an internal email the day after Terry's murder, Assistant U.S. Attorneys Emory Hurley and then-U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke decided not to disclose the connection, saying "this way we do not divulge our current case (Fast and Furious) or the Border Patrol shooting case."
Grassley, R-Iowa, and Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., said Thursday they are expanding their investigation into the scandal. In a strongly worded letter to Anne Scheel, the new U.S. attorney for Arizona, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee requested interviews, emails, memos and even hand-written notes from members of the U.S. attorney's office that played key roles in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) program. "The level of involvement of the United States Attorney's Office . . . in the genesis and implementation of this case is striking," wrote Issa and Grassley. . . .
Not only do congressional investigators want to "make sense" of details of the operation that allowed more than 2,000 guns to "walk" and later turn up at crime scenes on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, but they want to known why Hurley -- who knew almost immediately the guns found at Terry's crime scene belonged to Fast and Furious -- tried to "prevent the connection from being disclosed." Pray that offenders of our laws and our Constitution be brought forward and to justice with no back door to retreat through. Pray for expedited victory and comfort for Terry and all victim's families. Ask that the door be shut on this evil, illegal plotting by those who know better than to allow this breach in our walls. Pray and believe for America to be who she truly is, a servant of the Most High God.

6. FIRST EVER GAO AUDIT OF FEDERAL RESERVE: REPORT MADE PUBLIC
The first ever GAO audit of the Federal Reserve was carried out in the past few months due to the Ron Paul, Alan Grayson Amendment to the Dodd-Frank bill, which passed last year. Jim DeMint, a Republican Senator, and Bernie Sanders, an independent Senator, led the charge for a Federal Reserve audit in the Senate, but watered down the original language of the house bill (HR1207), so that a complete audit would not be carried out. Ben Bernanke, Alan Greenspan, and various other bankers vehemently opposed the audit and lied to Congress about the effects an audit would have on markets. Nevertheless, the results of the first audit in the Federal Reserve's nearly 100 year history were posted on Senator Sander's webpage earlier last month.

What does it mean? [Analysis offered by Hebrew Nation Alerts] The Federal Reserve likes to refer to these secret bailouts as an all-inclusive loan program, but virtually none of the money has been returned and it was loaned out at 0% interest. Why the Federal Reserve had never been public about this or even informed the United States Congress about the $16 trillion dollar bailout is obvious the American public would have been outraged to find out that the Federal Reserve bailed out foreign banks while Americans were struggling to find jobs. To place $16 trillion into perspective, remember that GDP of the United States is only $14.12 trillion. The entire national debt of the United States government spanning its 200+ year history is only $14.5 trillion.
- Offer praise that this audit has finally been completed -- indeed, the FIRST audit of the Fed since it came into existence in 1913! Pray that Congress will impose appropriate measures to see that violations come under control, even though the Federal Reserve is an independent entity, operating outside of congressional authority. Pray!

7. THE ADMINISTRATION TAKES ON "ISLAMOPHOBIA"
An unprecedented collaboration between the Obama administration and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC, formerly called the Organization of the Islamic Conference) to combat "Islamophobia" may soon result in the delegitimization of freedom of expression as a human right.
The administration is taking the lead in an international effort to "implement" a U.N. resolution against religious "stereotyping," specifically as applied to Islam. To be sure, it argues that the effort should not result in free-speech curbs. However, its partners in the collaboration, the 56 member states of the OIC, have no such qualms. Many of them police private speech through Islamic blasphemy laws and the OIC has long worked to see such codes applied universally. Under Muslim pressure, Western Europe now has laws against religious hate speech that serve as proxies for Islamic blasphemy codes.
Last March, U.S. diplomats maneuvered the adoption of Resolution 16/18 within the U.N. Human Rights Council (HRC). Non-binding, this resolution, inter alia, expresses concern about religious "stereotyping" and "negative profiling" but does not limit free speech. It was intended to - and did - replace the OIC's decidedly dangerous resolution against "defamation of religions," which protected religious institutions instead of individual freedoms.
But thanks to a puzzling U.S. diplomatic initiative that was unveiled in July, Resolution 16/18 is poised to become a springboard for a greatly reinvigorated international effort to criminalize speech against Islam, the very thing it was designed to quash. (National Review Online) Read more.
- Please pray that freedom of speach will not go on trial in the name of any religion. America is and has been a light to the world to allow the voice of all people to be heard. Intercede that The United States will never embrace the radical rules of Islam or its extreme Sharia Law. Pray that those who will not obey the laws of this land will be found out and will certainly never get by with changing them. Ask that every official overstepping these boundries be found out and brought low and that this sham invasion on America's rights be stopped.

8. SENATOR LIEBERMAN: OBAMA TOO CONCERNED WITH OFFENDING MUSLIMS
"The administration still refuses to call our enemy in this war by its proper name: violent Islamist extremism," Lieberman said, speaking at a National Press Club event hosted by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START). "To call our enemy 'violent extremism' is so general and vague that it ultimately has no meaning. The other term used sometimes is Al Qaeda and its allies. Now that's better but it is still too narrow and focuses us on groups as opposed to what I would call an ideology, which is what we're really fighting."
Lieberman, who as chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has held numerous hearings on the issue of Islamic extremism, said that Obama needs to stop being afraid of offending the overwhelmingly large portion of law-abiding and well-intentioned Muslims with his rhetoric.
"I assume the refusal of the administration to speak honestly about the enemy is based on its desire not to do anything that might feed into al Qaeda's propaganda that we're engaged in a cold war against Islam," he said. "But that is so self-evidently a lie that we can and have refuted it and I think we've done so effectively." (Religious Freedom Coalition) Read the text.

Praise God and pull down strongholds of useless, pointless, and ineffective speech, interceding for America's right to tell the truth without the need for one ounce of sugar to coat it!

9. GAFFNEY WARNS ON MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD
Former Undersecretary of Defense, Frank Gaffney said, "In recent weeks, we have been put on notice repeatedly: Absent a fundamental course correction, America will go the way of Europe and others before it, succumbing to an insidious totalitarian doctrine known as Shariah whose purpose, in the words of its prime practitioners - the Muslim Brotherhood - is to "destroy Western civilization from within."
Hurricanes, earthquakes and fiscal crises are preoccupations of the moment. Unless we heed the warnings being issued by three of our most brilliant strategic thinkers, Mark Steyn, Bat Ye'or and Andrew C. McCarthy, however, we risk an irreversible national calamity. 10. DAY OF RAGE PLANNED FOR NEW YORK CITY ON SEPT. 17TH
The protest aims to take root nationwide In the wake of Britain's riots, a group of American radicals are planning a "Day of Rage" targeting Wall Street and U.S. capitalism. The upcoming protests, replete with a planned tent city in downtown Manhattan, is closely tied to the founders of ACORN and leaders of major U.S. unions, including the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU. There are indications the protesters are training to incite violence, resist arrest and disrupt the legal system.
Activists are advertising on social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter for a "Day of Rage" on Sept. 17 to begin with the "occupation" of Wall Street and continue with protests across the nation. To learn more about this planned protest, go here
What does it mean? (from HN News editor) We must not feed into the spirit of Korah rebellion that has been loosed upon the earth. Though protests and demonstrations in Arab nations started with legitimate issues (high food costs, high unemployment), the protests have been hijacked by wicked forces to unseat leaders, usurp their authority, and replace them with Muslim Brotherhood leadership. Except for Israel, the protests in all the other nations, (including London), have broken out into violence, looting, and mayhem. Truly, there is a "hidden agenda" behind these protests. 11. SPACE JUNK PROBLEM IS MORE THREATENING THAN EVER
There is so much junk in space that collisions could start to increase exponentially, leading to a continuously growing pile of rubble in orbit, a new report warns. The independent report, released today (Sept. 1), surveyed NASA's work to meet the threat of space debris. It was sponsored by NASA, and conducted by the National Research Council, a nonprofit science policy organization.
Space debris - an accumulation of broken satellites, spent rocket stages and other junk in orbit - is dangerous because it could hit and damage working satellites, as well as spacecraft like the International Space Station.
"Space is becoming essential to our current civilization," Donald Kessler, chairman of the report committee and retired head of NASA's Orbital Debris Program Office, told SPACE.com. "If for any reason we weren't able to use satellites as easily as we do today, there would be a reduction in the standard of living."
The situation we're in now is called the Kessler Syndrome, a term named after Kessler, in which the amount of debris has reached a critical threshold. There is now enough orbital debris that collisions will cause a continual cascade, with each adding to the total amount of debris and increasing the chances of further collisions, according to several studies, Kessler said.
"Even if we add nothing else to orbit, the amount of debris could continue to increase as a result of random collisions between fairly large objects," Kessler said. "You'd generate debris faster than the natural decay process could return it."(Fox News) Read more.

12. BETWEEN EARTHQUAKES AND HURRICANES: WILL AMERICA REPENT?
Within just one week, we have seen a record 5.8 earthquake in Virginia and now we have hurricane Irene barreling up the eastern seaboard about to make landfall. Irene could well be a 100 yr event affecting 80 million people. In the "city that never sleeps", the New York City subway system will be closing down this weekend to brace for hurricane Irene. Even President Obama has had to cut his vacation at Martha's Vineyard short and return to Washington to get out of the destructive path of hurricane Irene. What might Yahweh be saying in the message of nature with the recent 5.8 earthquake and the impending hurricane? Could it be that Yah is displeased, that His anger is being aroused, with some of the events that will be happening in September in New York and Washington DC?
What does it mean? Are the earthquake and hurricane a "wake up" call from the Creator of the Heavens and earth, from the King of Kings, warning us to repent and return before even greater judgments occur? This is a biblical principle; Yahweh would always send the prophets to wake up and warn the people to repent and return to His word PRIOR to a major judgment. Before being taken into captivity to Babylon, the people of the Southern kingdom, the house of Judah, were warned to repent. Before being taken into captivity to Assyria, the people of the Northern kingdom, the house of Israel, were also warned to repent.

As you will see below, these bills are generally separated into two groups: those we wish to support in prayer, and those we wish to see defeated.
Our plumbline is always the Word of God: those bills we wish to support are in alignment with the Word, and the will, of God; those to be defeated, are not.

1. H.R. 2583: Bringing Major Changes to the United Nations
House Republicans introduced legislation last Tuesday that will force major changes at the United Nations, an organization that the bill's author has called a "stew of corruption, mismanagement and negligence."
The bill by Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the Republican chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, would require the UN to adopt a voluntary budget model in which countries selectively fund UN agencies rather than according to a set formula. It would end funding for Palestinian refugees, limit use of U.S. funds to only purposes outlined by Congress and stop contributions to peacekeeping operations until management changes are made.
The legislation represents the leading edge of Republican moves against the world body at a time when the Obama administration is increasingly building its foreign policy around multilateral institutions, making the alliance-based approach central to its stance on Libya. The bill may advance in the Republican-controlled House, but is likely to hit opposition in the Senate and from Obama.
Also within this House appropriations bill is a provision of "$25,000,000 for fiscal year 2012 for resettlement of refugees in Israel." (Reported by: Intercessors for America)
2. H.R. 2829: To promote transparency, accountability, and reform within the United Nations
(WASHINGTON) - U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, today (August 30) introduced the United Nations Transparency, Accountability, and Reform Act (H.R. 2829), which places conditions on U.S. funding to the UN in order to achieve long awaited reform at that body.
"We need a UN which will advance the noble goals for which it was founded," Ros-Lehtinen said. "Unfortunately, the current UN continues to be plagued by scandal, mismanagement, and inaction, and its agenda is frequently hijacked by rogue regimes which protect each other while targeting free democracies like the U.S. and Israel. This bill is about making the UN work again."
The legislation also prohibits U.S. contributions to the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Goldstone Report, and the Durban process, and would cut off contributions to any UN entity which upgrades the status of the Palestinian mission to the UN.

3. HR 1683: State Flexibility Act (House Version)
Repeal ObamaCare's Medicaid Maintenance of Effort (MOE)
ObamaCare's Medicaid MOE requirements limit states' ability to investigate Medicaid fraud and abuse, and does not allow states to manage their enrollment to meet the needs of their residents and keep their budgets balanced. Conservative Action Alerts supports Phil Gingrey (R-GA) and Cathy McMorris Rodgers' (R-WA) efforts to limit ObamaCare by introducing HR 1683 to repeal Medicaid Maintenance of Effort regulations.
This bill is a companion to S. 868 in the Senate. (See Below)
4. S.868: State Flexibility Act (Senate Version)
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, has unveiled the 2011 State Flexibility Act, S.868 that will repeal ObamaCare's oppressive Medicaid Maintenance of Effort (MOE) requirements that force states to increase taxes on their residents or make drastic cuts to state services in order to cover the more than 20 million patients that will be added to Medicaid under ObamaCare.
ObamaCare's Medicaid MOE requirements limit states' ability to investigate Medicaid fraud and abuse, and does not allow states to manage their enrollment to meet the needs of their residents and keep their budgets balanced.

5. H.R. 973: Keeping Foreign Law Out of U.S. Courts
(A Bill to Prevent Sharia Law from Being Honored in American Courts)
What is H.R. 973? This is a simple, short bill designed to protect Americans from being forced under laws which we did not enact, but were enacted by foreign powers or foreign peoples.

6. HR 1098: Free Competition in Currency Act of 2011
Repeal Legal Tender Laws, Restore Sound Money
What we need is sound money and it looks like our dollar is qualifying less and less. Precious metals -- namely, gold and silver -- have historically been the commodities most capable of being sound money. This is why many governments have traditionally backed their currencies with such, including our own - in fact, the only legal tender authorized by the U.S. Constitution is gold and silver!

a) Amnesty by Executive Order
Hussein Obama just granted amnesty to MILLIONS of illegal aliens. Not only did he grant amnesty to millions who have broken the law, but he did it by executive order. In other words, he's ruling by decree. He thinks that he can do whatever he wants without going through Congress. It's just one more way he's trying to control the country.
He knows that his approval rating is dropping like a JET ENGINE EQUIPED STONE, he knows that he's lost the support of the Latino community, so now he's giving illegal aliens amnesty in the hopes that Hispanics will then vote for him. Giving something that he does NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO GIVE !
However, most legal immigrants don't believe that amnesty is the answer. They came to this country the lawful way, paid for an immigration lawyer, paid their immigration fees, spent months working hard to become a citizen, spent thousands of dollars trying to be granted citizenship. It's a slap in the face to them for Obama to just grant free amnesty for those who didn't come here the honest way.
The only Hispanics that will vote for him are the ones who came here illegally and have just been granted amnesty.
The Obama administration said that this executive order is intended to refocus deportation resources on "public safety threats," rather than on every individual who is in the country illegally. (Conservative Action Alerts)

b) Conservatives Raise Alarm About Fairness Doctrine in 'Different Garb'
The Federal Communications Commission may have killed off the controversial Fairness Doctrine this week, but conservatives -- offering faint praise for the move -- are sounding the alarm over what they see as backdoor attempts by the Obama administration to regulate political speech on the airwaves.
They point to ownership diversity and "localism" as other ways Democrats can try to keep the spirit of the Fairness Doctrine alive and silence conservatives and Christian broadcasters. "The path to censor radio airwaves is being paved through the back door," Media Research Center President Brent Bozell said.
But on Monday, the FCC put the final nail in the coffin by striking it from its books as part a larger mandate proposed by the Obama administration to ease regulatory burdens by getting rid of duplicative or outdated measures. "The FCC deserves a one-handed round of applause for this move," Bozell said.
"Years ago, striking the Censorship Doctrine - and that's exactly what the Fairness Doctrine was - would have actually meant something," he said. "But since the FCC started playing with policies of 'localism,' 'media diversity' and a nebulous requirement to 'serve the public interest,' with yet another unelected and unconfirmed 'Diversity Czar' to implement these proposed regulations, the spirit of the Censorship Doctrine has remained very much alive.
The National Religious Broadcasters Association also expressed caution about the end of the Fairness Doctrine. "On this day of genuine celebration, NRB will remain vigilant regarding the concepts embodied in the Fairness Doctrine," said Frank Wright, the association's president and chief executive. "While the letter of the law is now dead, we want to ensure that the spirit of this particular law also remains dead. There are many voices calling for increased scrutiny of broadcast programming under the guise of 'localism,' and we see such proposals as a Fairness Doctrine in different garb." c) New FCC Regulations Threaten Local Stations
On Monday, the FCC released a new carriage order that could give Obama control over what you see on TV! A new scheme by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) could sell-off broadband spectrum that only local stations currently use. The air space would be bought up by cellular cartels like Verizon and Google. That means - religious and political broadcasters would be axed! A total of at least 210 stations would be forced off the air.
Do you believe that the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects our right to free speech? Do you believe ANY attempt by Obama and his cronies to gag our religious and political voices is unconstitutional? If you answered "YES" will you stand with me and DEMAND that Congress STOP Obama's back-door attempt to choke all voices of dissent.

Yes, the spectrum grab plan is true. All low-power stations are first on the list. Then channels 50 thru 30. Then the other stations will be encouraged to voluntarily give up their spectrum or a part of it, and to share spectrum with other stations/ channels. If "enough" Spectrum is NOT voluntarily given up, the government will force the issue with the remaining channels.
The Senate Commerce sub-committee has already signed off on it as a way to obtain more broadband and more money for the gov to use and to sell. The House will probably address this when they return.
On the surface -- to lawmakers and others it sounds like a viable plan. However, the facts behind this push are very ominous. Broadcasters who have spent many many millions of dollars on their stations, digital conversion, etc., will be stripped of their livelihoods with no compensation. It will destroy the free over the air broadcast industry; freedom of speech for minorities, Christians, anyone the government wants to silence.
This will also restrict the flow of information and censor content across the USA. The plan puts more power into a very few select hands to control, monitor, and propagandize the population of the nation - and probably the world.
From a spiritual viewpoint this plan is completely diabolical. We urgently need informed prayer and a huge flood of emails, visits and calls to Congress, the FCC, and other government agencies that are involved.

1. Obamacare: Headed to Supreme Court
A three-judge panel of the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the key feature of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, better known by many as "Obamacare," is unconstitutional. The "individual mandate" portion of the legislation-a provision which requires all Americans to purchase health insurance or suffer a monetary penalty-was found by the panel in a 2-1 decision to be constitutionally infirm.
The two judges who wrote the opinion, one a George H. W. Bush appointee and the other a Clinton appointee, used 207 pages to analyze the legislative intent of the enactment, to explore the existing pertinent case law, and to carefully consider all the possible arguments for the individual mandate offered by both sides.
In the end, their conclusion was that the question before them was "whether the federal government can issue a mandate that Americans purchase and maintain health insurance from a private company for the entirety of their lives." The answer they gave was a resounding "no," to which every American should respond with an "amen." (Christian Coalition of America)

2. Obama Justice Sued for Picking Which Laws to Enforce
Hussein Obama's Department of Justice has been sued in federal court - again - for picking and choosing which of the nation's laws it wants to enforce.
The newest case is being brought by Judicial Watch on behalf of the Family Research Council. It focuses on the announcement last winter from Attorney General Eric Holder that his department - assigned the responsibility of defending the U.S. and its laws - simply won't do that when it comes to the congressionally approved and presidentially signed Defense of Marriage Act.
"When Obama [occupied the White House], he took an oath to uphold our laws - and not just the ones with which he personally agrees," said FRC President Tony Perkins. "If he'll undermine this law, which one is next? This isn't just a threat to marriage. It's a threat to the entire democratic process," he said.

Nourse advocates the same principles as Goodwin Liu and does so even more aggressively. Nourse presents her personal concept of a "self-transcending constitution" through the less-common label "New Legal Realism" rather than the widely known idea of judicial activism. Nonetheless, she supports the same radical ideas as Liu, and her terminology should not be allowed to confuse that her self-proclaimed "radical theory of judging" seeks to circumvent our governments' guiding document (The Constitution) and allow the Judiciary to claim for themselves powers expressly reserved to our elected representatives in Congress. 2. ISRAEL WARNS HAMAS: DON'T TEST OUR MIGHT
Late last week, Israel told Gaza that if they attack Israel again, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will strike very hard. Israel is now on edge for a major attack.
A joint Arab military strike would include:
1. The long-considered Turkish plan to send troops into northern Syria and carve out a military pocket from which Syria's rebels would be supplied with military, logistic and medical aid.
2. Ankara and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will provide the anti-Assad movements with large quantities of weapons and funds to be smuggled in from outside Syria.
3. The Turkish military incursion would be matched by Saudi troops entering southern Syria at the head of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) contingents. They would move in via Jordan, and establish a second military enclave under GCC auspices.
The third option involving Jordan, came up in Tehran last week, when Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad heard some straight talk from the visiting Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. Iranian sources reveal that the Qatari ruler slapped down a blunt warning: "Assad is finished, and Iran must face up to this." For the sake of even minimal relations with the Arab world, it appears that Iran must ditch the Assad regime in Damascus or face the real danger of the Syrian crisis deteriorating into a regional conflict. RUSSIA, EU, ARAB LEAGUE SAY TIME IS UP
PLAN MASSIVE STRATEGICAL ASSAULT ON SYRIA
Early last week, three international heavyweights - Russia, the European Union and key Muslim nations - gave Syrian President Bashar Assad tough ultimatums - One step away from all out war - -oil embargo coming any day.
Europe is the biggest buyer of Syrian oil, importing $4.5 billion worth a year. This provides Syria with its main source of foreign currency revenue and the primary funding for Assad's military operations against dissidents. Once this source dries up, the Syrian ruler will be forced to cut down on those operations unless Iran is willing to make up the difference.
Well-informed military sources warn that Assad will not be cowed by the international, military and economic noose tightening around his neck. He is far more likely to try and loosen it by lashing out against his enemies, starting with Israel. ** 4. EGYPTIAN FORCES RAID JIHAD CELLS IN SINAI
Large Egyptian army forces are fighting Jihad operatives in the Sinai Peninsula. Egyptian daily al-Masry al-Youm reported Tuesday [August 30]. According to the report, which quotes Egyptian security sources, forces continue to raid terrorist strongholds in Sinai as part of a special operation on the event of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. The operation includes some 1,500 soldiers as well as tanks and armored vehicles. The newspaper noted that Egyptian security forces have raised the level of alert for fear of acts of violence during the holiday. They are scanning the border area, Rafah, El-Arish, Sheikh Zweid and are working alongside Bedouin tribal leaders who are trying to convince the Jihad operatives to abandon violence.
Meanwhile, Home Front Defense Minister Matan Vilnai warned that terrorists might take the opportunity of Eid al-Fitr to carry out attacks on Israel. "The Defense establishment has received a warning that a terror cell in Sinai, comprised of more than 10 terrorists, is to attempt to carry out an attack," he said. "The Defense establishment is taking action to thwart this attempt." On Monday, it was reported that Egypt and Israel have agreed to increase the number of Egyptian soldiers in the peninsula's areas B and C. The report also suggested that the sides are negotiating additional deployment in the region.
Military sources say that Hamas is trying to avoid an open conflict with Israel and will likely not rush to carry out a second terrorist attack. Israel, on its part, is sending messages to all relevant parties that its policy of restraint will not go on forever and that additional terror attacks will be met with a harsh response. (YnetNews)

**5. PALESTINIAN TERRORIST "WAS TRYING TO GET TO THE KIDS"
Security guards working at the south Tel Aviv night club targeted by a terrorist Sunday [August 28] night recalled the moments of horror from their hospital beds, and said that the outcome could have been much worse had the attacker managed to enter the club. "I have no doubt that he was trying to get to the kids," one of Haoman 17's security guards, Aviv Krief, told Ynet. "I'm afraid to think what would have happened if he succeeded. There were thousands of kids there. It was a miracle they weren't hurt." Krief was hit by the terrorist's car in the first moments of the attack, and suffered broken bones.
Eight people were hospitalized when the terrorist, a 20-year-old Palestinian resident of Nablus, ran over people standing outside the club before proceeding to stab officers and security guards. Most of the wounded were Border Guards securing a nearby roadblock. The terrorist, who was lightly injured, was taken to the Wolfson Medical Center and was placed under heavy security. He admitted during questioning that he had been planning the attack for some time now, and had purchased a knife specifically for the purpose of carrying it out.
"I stood at the roadblock, and suddenly he came out of nowhere with the cab, driving fast towards us," Krief recalled. "He hit a police officer and then me, and then he stopped. I didn't think it was a terror attack, I thought it was an accident. He was driving 100km [62 miles] an hour. I didn't know it was intentional. I thought it might be a kid that we didn't allow in doing something stupid. There was screaming coming from all around us.
The next thing I know the terrorist is lying next to me [at the hospital], and I'm imagining what I would do to him if only I could," Krief added. "He knew there was a club there. It wasn't a coincidence." Another security guard who was sharing Kreif's hospital room said the attacker appeared deranged as he flung his knife around.
"We were securing the party when we heard a loud noise about 100 meters [328 feet] from the club's entrance," he recounted the sequence of events. "We ran to the crash site, where I saw an officer lying on the road in a puddle of blood. (By Yoav Zitun, Ynetnews, August 29, 2011)

**6. REPORT: IDF NABS RECENTLY RELEASED HAMAS LEADER
Palestinian sources reported Thursday [September 1] that the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] has arrested again one of Hamas' leaders in the West Bank [Judea and Samaria], Sheikh Hassan Yousef. According to the report, Sheikh Yousef was arrested while trying to cross the Zatara checkpoint south of Nablus, after returning from a family visit in Jenin. The sources noted that the Hamas leader was detained for several hours at the checkpoint together with his wife and children. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said it is checking the report. Hamas deputy parliamentary speaker, Ahmed Bahar addressed the report saying "the policy of arrests will not break our people and will not diminish their rights and national standing."
Yousef was released from an Israeli prison less than a month ago after six years. A senior Palestinian source said at the time that the sheikh's release would not affect Hamas' dwindling status in the West Bank. "Yousef has not had influence over people for some time now," the source said. Sheikh Yousef is considered one of Hamas' founders, and served as a leader in the West Bank during the al-Aqsa intifada [or Second Intifada, 2000-2006]. His son, Mosab Hassan Yousef, was a key Shin Bet agent during the intifada and wrote a book [Son of Hamas] about his experience as the informant son of a Hamas leader. Since his release, Sheikh Yousef spoke in favor of the Fatah-Hamas reconciliation agreement many times. He claimed that Israel negotiated with Hamas prisoners in order to bring about the release of captive soldier Gilad Shalit. Most recently, he slammed Israel's military policy in Gaza in the backdrop of the escalation in the South. (YnetNews)

**7. U.S. MUSLIMS URGE HAMAS TO RELEASE SHALIT
WASHINGTON - Prominent US Moslem figures, including two congressmen, have sent a letter to Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal calling him to release captive IDF [Israel Defense Forces] soldier Gilad Shalit. "We write to you during this holy month of Ramadan as Muslim-American leaders and scholars across the United States," the letter stated. "As Muslims around the world reflect upon their faith and strive for an elevated level of devotion during this blessed month, we urge you to act upon our higher calling to charity and compassion by releasing Israeli Corporal Gilad Shalit."
Among the signatories are Minnesota Representative Keith Ellison, Indiana Representative Andre Carson, former Pakistani Ambassador Akbar Ahmed and Imam Abdullah Antepli of Duke University. "We believe Hamas' harsh treatment and five-year detention of Shalit is wrong," the letter said. "On many occasions, Hamas has stated its opposition to unjust imprisonment. It has said that Israel's detention of thousands of Palestinians, including women and children who have been held for months or years, sometimes in harsh conditions or without access to genuine due process, is unjust."
However, the authors of the letter stressed that "As Muslims we are guided by the tradition of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He teaches us to follow a higher ethical and moral code, and to set an example of justice and mercy, even against enemies and prisoners of war. . . The struggle for Palestinian human rights and self-determination must be based on this ethical and moral code. "Hamas' inhumane detention of Shalit undermines the Palestinian people's legitimate aspirations for human rights and a state of their own, existing in peace and security beside Israel."
The authors of letter conclude by urging Mashaal "to recall that the Holy Koran teaches us that 'Whoever pardons and makes reconciliation will receive his reward from Allah.' We urge you to act upon these words by releasing Shalit immediately." (YnetNews)

8. COPTIC CHRISTIAN BILLIONAIRE SEEKS EGYPT'S PRESIDENCY
The Egyptian Revolution began on January 25th of this year, marked by President Hosni Mubarak stepping down on February 11th, and still continues as a new government is formed. One of those figures who has thrown his hat in the ring to be the new president is Naguib Sawiris, a "billionaire telecom scion and art patron" according to a Forbes report. Sawiris is also a Coptic Christian who has already founded a new political party known as the "Free Egyptian Party." His goal is to establish a secular democratic government in Egypt.
Money certainly won't be an issue in his run for office; Sawiris is number two on the billionaire list in Egypt-his father is at the top spot-and listed as #310 of Forbes Billionaires. Sawiris deeply appreciates cultural achievements and plans to build a national museum housing his own collection of contemporary and modern art.
Coptic Christians in Egypt have suffered much violence and persecution especially in the last year, but Sawiris seems to be unafraid of the risks involved in seeking to be head of his country. Sawiris stated in an article cited by Art Newspaper that he "decided to be more focused on social and political work, aiming to play a role in the transformation of a post-revolution Egypt into a civil democracy." **1. ABBAS: PALESTINIANS WILL NOT RECOGNIZE ISRAEL AS JEWISH STATE
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has said that the Palestinian Authority would not recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Adopting a belligerent tone ahead of his planned statehood bid in September, Abbas also criticized demands made by the International Quartet for the Middle East. The chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and president of the Palestinian Authority told a Jordanian newspaper: "Don't order us to recognize a Jewish state. We won't accept it."
In reaction to Abbas' comments, World Jewish Congress Secretary General Dan Diker said that "as a good Muslim", Abbas would never be able to accept Israel as a Jewish state in the Middle East because according to Sharia law lands once conquered by Islam could never be relinquished. In an interview on IBA News, Diker said there was "no possibility culturally" for Israel to be recognized "at any time as the nation state of the Jewish people."
Also reacting to Abbas, Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said the Palestinian leader's statement proved that "The real intention of the Palestinians is not to establish a state that will live in peace alongside Israel, but rather the establishment of a state free of Jews in [the West Bank] and the hostile takeover of Israel from within." Lieberman added: "Countries around the world must make it clear to Abbas that the only way the Palestinians will be able to have a state is by stopping their attempt to destroy the only Jewish state in the world."
Meanwhile, at a meeting in Ramallah, EU foreign affairs supremo Catherine Ashton reportedly told Abbas that while the European Union did not object to the Palestinian's UN bid per se, its final position in the matter would be determined according to the bid's content and phrasing. Israel's Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren said Tuesday [August 30] that if the Palestinians further their statehood bid at the United Nations in September, it might jeopardize all existing agreements between the Palestinian Authority and the United States and Israel. In an interview with Foreign Policy magazine, Oren said, "We have a lot of agreements with the Palestinian Authority; we have no agreements with a 'government of Palestine.' It's just a fact - we have no agreements with a 'government of Palestine.' It puts us in a different realm," said Oren, adding that the move would render invalid economic treaties, including export, import and water sharing, as well as security cooperation agreements. The Israeli ambassador stressed that Palestinian agreements with the United States are also at risk: "America is a cosignatory to the Oslo Accord and this would seriously undermine it . . . Unilateral steps would have legal, economic, and political ramifications for us and for America as a cosignatory."
Commenting on the Middle East Quartet's attempt to push the sides back to the negotiations table by issuing a statement that would affirm Israel as a Jewish state and determine a Palestinian state in 1967 borders with agreed land swaps, Oren said the effort won't solve the problem. "There is no guarantee that even if the Quartet members succeed in putting out a common position on negotiations that will in any way divert the Palestinians from their intention of declaring a Palestinian state unilaterally," he told the magazine, adding that Jerusalem and Washington are "working for similar goals and see very much eye to eye" on the issue.
According to Oren, the statehood declaration will provide the Palestinian Authority with "lawfare" against Israel in the international arena, which will further diminish the chances for reaching a negotiated agreement. "We want to be able to negotiate, but we won't be able to negotiate if they are attacking our legitimacy in every international court. We're not going to negotiate under fire, and it's a mistake for the Palestinians to think that we would," the ambassador said.Oren warned that in the absence of a negotiated solution, Israel's support for the creation of a Palestinian state might be jeopardized. 3. U.S. IS APPEALING TO PALESTINIANS TO STALL U.N. VOTE
The Obama administration has initiated a last-ditch diplomatic campaign to avert a confrontation this month over a plan by Palestinians to seek recognition as a state at the United Nations, but it may already be too late, according to senior American officials and foreign diplomats. The administration has circulated a proposal for renewed peace talks with the Israelis in the hopes of persuading the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, to abandon the bid for recognition at the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly beginning Sept. 20. The administration has made it clear to Mr. Abbas that it will veto any request presented to the United Nations Security Council to make a Palestinian state a new member outright.
But the United States does not have enough support to block a vote by the General Assembly to elevate the status of the Palestinians' nonvoting observer "entity" to that of a nonvoting observer state. The change would pave the way for the Palestinians to join dozens of United Nations bodies and conventions, and it could strengthen their ability to pursue cases against Israel at the International Criminal Court.
Senior officials said the administration wanted to avoid not only a veto but also the more symbolic and potent General Assembly vote that would leave the United States and only a handful of other nations in the opposition. The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss diplomatic maneuverings, said they feared that in either case a wave of anger could sweep the Palestinian territories and the wider Arab world at a time when the region is already in tumult. President Obama would be put in the position of threatening to veto recognition of the aspirations of most Palestinians or risk alienating Israel and its political supporters in the United States.

4. OBAMA TO ATTEND U.N. GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Hussein Obama will travel to the United Nations General Assembly in New York later this month for an annual meeting likely to be overshadowed by the Palestinian drive for statehood. Obama will be in New York between September 19 and 21, the White House said.
Palestinians, frustrated by the failure of the frozen US-sponsored peace process with Israel to deliver statehood, plan to propose to UN chief Ban Ki-moon on September 20 that they be granted full UN recognition.
The United States argues that the Palestinians will only achieve meaningful statehood through a revival of direct peace talks with Israel and has warned it will veto the bid in the Security Council. Washington had hoped to head off a vote and the prospect it would be forced to use its veto to shield Israel, in a move which could anger Arab publics at a time of intense political change sweeping the Middle East. . .
The Palestinian petition at the UN could be somewhat of a personal embarrassment for the president, as at last year's general assembly he issued a stirring call for a Palestinian state. Lashing out at "cynics" and "pessimists," Obama wagered substantial diplomatic capital and said the world should back his plan to forge a Palestinian state and a secure Israel by the UN General Assembly in 2011. 6. PALESTINIANS EXPECT 140 NATIONS TO BACK U.N. BID
About 140 countries are likely to support a Palestinian bid for statehood recognition at the United Nations General Assembly later this month, according to Palestinian negotiator Nabil Shaath.
"Many Palestinian leaders and officials went on separate tours and visits to convince the world's countries to recognize the Palestinian state in the territories occupied by Israel in 1967," said Shaath, a senior official in Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction. His remarks in Ramallah today were broadcast on Palestinian television.

7. ISRAELIS BRACE FOR POTENTIAL VIOLENCE WHEN PALESTINIANS MARCH FOR STATEHOOD
Israeli forces are seeking to prevent bloodshed when Palestinians march in support of a statehood drive this month, but they are preparing for worst-case scenarios, even authorizing West Bank settlers to shoot at Palestinians who approach their communities.
Palestinians say the rallies will be peaceful -- a view shared by Israel's own security assessments -- and will steer clear of any settlements. Yet, the combustible atmosphere and the long and deadly history of Israeli-Palestinian violence are raising the specter that events might spin out of control.

"O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle." (Psalm140:7)
O Lord, You give me strength to work out my own salvation, with fear and trembling. I look to You for help. Some days seem so hard, but all You ask me to do is to rest in You, for You are the strength of my salvation. Thank You for Your help, Your hand of deliverance. Amen.
