1. A) NYPD Issues Threat Note After Va. Arrest - Fox News
The arrest Wednesday of a Virginia "Moslem" who thought he was aiding an Al Qaeda cult attack on the Washington, D.C., transit system is further proof that "radical jihadists" are inside the United States, and it's a reminder to cities around the country that ground transportation is still a "highly attractive" target for terrorists, according to a New York Police Department threat assessment obtained by Fox News.
B) Skywest Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Reported Bomb Threat - Fox News
Officials say a commuter jet from Montana is being searched in Salt Lake City after a telephone threat of an explosive on board.
Delta Airlines issued a statement saying Skywest flight 4654 landed just before 8 a.m. Thursday at Salt Lake City International Airport, and all passengers were safely taken off the aircraft.

2. A) Obama Restores the 'Creator' to His Recitation of the Declaration of Independence - CNSNews.com
On the campaign trail for Democrats in recent days, Obama said the word "Creator" when quoting the Declaration of Independence, although he omitted the word in several earlier speeches this year. The addition of "Creator" came after press reports noted the omission in Obama's earlier speeches.

B) Obama Suggests His Stance on Gay Marriage Could 'Evolve' - Fox News
Obama suggested Wednesday that his opposition to gay marriage is not set in stone, telling a group of bloggers he's thought a lot about the issue as more and more states expand the definition of marriage.
Obama stopped short of reversing his public stance, which so far has been in support of civil unions only. But he said pointedly that attitudes, including his, change.
- Father, we pray that truth prevail over everything Obama says, so that deception will not sway the American people. Let our nation not be deceived into thinking something is ok when it is not. We ask for a full revelation of Your truth to Obama so that he moves from a lack of understanding to the knowledge of Your Word in his heart.

3. Court Overturns AZ's Proof of Citizenship Requirement to Vote - AOL News
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned Arizona's requirement that people show proof of citizenship to register to vote. The split decision by a three-judge panel determined that the requirement to show proof of citizenship - passed by voters in 2004 - is not consistent with the National Voter Registration Act.

- Lord, we are dismayed at this latest turn of events in several states to allow non-citizens the right to vote. Why should a non-citizen vote in an American election except to skew the results? We pray that You will intervene with the courts to see an interpretation of the law that follows both legal and Biblical precepts.

- Lord, as Obama and Mrs. Clinton both will be gone at the same time, we wonder if there is a connection. We pray for Your power and protection over our nation from any plans of the enemy. If they are leaving town because they are afraid of the election results, then we ask for transformation of their hearts to know the fear of the Living God.

5. After Midterm Elections, Congress Faces Likely Legislative Gridlock - Fox News
No matter which party comes out on top in next week's midterm elections, getting legislation through the next Congress will be an uphill battle at best and virtually impossible at worst.
Regardless of who wins the majority next week, more pratfalls than policies may emerge out of the 112th Congress, observers warn.
"Both parties don't like to work with each other. We keep seeing that over and over," said Julian Zelizer, a Princeton University professor of history and congressional expert. "It's like Lucy and Charlie Brown with the football."

We pray for Your wisdom to begin to cause every legislator to seek Your Face for the issues they face.

6. Up to $1 Billion in U.S. Aid Winds Up In Taliban Coffers - Fox News
As much as $1 billion in U.S. aid has been diverted from programs meant to stabilize Afghanistan and has wound up in the hands of the Taliban and other insurgency groups, war analysts and government auditors say.
- Lord, this is an unacceptable situation! We pray that You will reveal how this happened and cut off the flow of funds to the enemy. Let every hidden secret be shown and all evil destroyed.

The Palestinian Authority said on Wednesday that it was worried about "attempts" by the US and EU to persuade Hamas to join the Middle East peace process.
2. Ban Ki-moon concerned over armed Hizbullah in Lebanon - Jerusalem Post
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in a report released Wednesday that he is concerned about Hizbullah in Lebanon having weapons and he believes the group should lay down its arms.
3. Israel's right wing starts its own Tea Party - UK Telegraph
Obama has become a target for the Israeli right following the creation of a pro-settler Tea Party who plan to hold a "Saying No to Obama" rally.
EMERGENCY PRAYER FOR INDONESIA
PRAY for Indonesia: Earthquake-Tsunami-Volcano
Indonesia was hit by three violent natural disasters in just two days - an earthquake on Monday (October 25, 2010), a tsunami generated by the quake, and on Tuesday, the eruption of a volcano. The death toll is currently in the hundreds and is expected to rise.
The nation of Indonesia - a chain of more than 17,000 islands - is considered a "geological restless" area because of its location along a deep trench in the ocean where two of the Earth's plates meet. "Friction between the plates heats rock to the melting point, supplying the magma that wells up to form the volcanoes that dot the islands - and triggering earthquakes."
That is what happened on Monday, October 25, 2010. As the plates shifted off the west coast of Sumatra, a 7.7 earthquake was generated. This, in turn, created a 10-foot tsunami (tidal wave) that killed more than 100 people. Hours later, Sumatra's Mt. Merapi erupted, killing at least 18 people. Experts say this may be followed by more small eruptions or even one violent eruption.
Some scientists believe Monday's quake may have helped to ease the strain that has been mounting between the two deep-ocean plates. Others, however, are convinced that another larger earthquake (8.5 or above) could occur sometime in the near future.

• Christian humanitarian agencies to provide food, clean water, shelter, medicine, and the Gospel to those who have been affected by the earthquake, tsunami and volcano. (The Bible, Proverbs 29:7)
• the light of Jesus Christ to shine brightly into this dark region. Pray for enemy strongholds to be toppled and for those in bondage to terrorism and false religions to be set free. (The Bible, Colossians 1:13)
• the Kingdom of God to come to Indonesia in not only word, but in great power. (The Bible, I Corinthians 4:20)

Terrorist Plot Thwarted
Four Convicted of Homegrown Terrorist Plot
Four men were convicted by a federal court jury in Manhattan on Monday for scheming to fire heat-seeking missiles at military transport planes and bomb a Bronx synagogue and Jewish community center. The verdict took eight days of deliberation, ending a case that defense lawyers said "crossed the line of entrapment." The defendants - Onta Williams, Laguerre Payen, James Cromitie and David Williams IV - were arrested in May 2009 after collaborating for 11 months with Shahed Hussain, an F.B.I. informer posing as a member of the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Court to Rule on Two First Amendment Cases
First, Schwarzenegger v. Entertainment will be heard on Tuesday (Nov. 2), concerning California's attempt to block the sale or rental of violent video games to minors. In 2005, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger imposed a fine of up to $1000 for violators who make graphic content such as Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Duke Nukem 3D (depicting characters being killed, maimed and dismembered) available to those under age 18, arguing that exposure can lead to aggressive behavior and psychological harm.
Second, Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization v. Winn will be heard next Wednesday (Nov. 3), over an Arizona law that allows residents to designate a portion of their taxes to non-profit school tuition programs, most of which is given to religious schools. Tens of millions of dollars in contributions have caused a group of taxpayers to question whether or not the Arizona tax system is indirectly engaging in religious discrimination and violating the First Amendment's Establishment Clause by permitting schools to select students for scholarships on the basis of religion.
- Pray for the youth of America, that they would grow up in a country where there would be protection from violence and not the celebration of it. Pray for an accurate interpretation of the First Amendment and the "establishment clause."

Midterm Elections Fast Approaching
Change is coming to Capitol Hill. The questions are how much change, and of what kind.
Republicans seem all but guaranteed to take control of the House of Representatives, but political analysts say it's much less likely that they will be able to gain control of the Senate also. If those predictions come true, it will be the first time since the 1930 election that the House has changed hands without the Senate following suit
At least 90 Democrat-controlled seats in the House are up for grabs in this election, with only nine GOP-controlled seats in a tossup. Republicans need to gain at least 39 seats to get a majority in the House. Only five Senate slots are considered a tossup, all of which the GOP would likely need to win in order to pick up the 10 seats necessary for a Senate majority.
Early voting has begun in many places, and reports from Nevada indicate that some voters found that Harry Reid's name was pre-selected on the electronic voting machines, raising concerns of glitches or fraud.
Candidates from both parties have shattered spending records in this year's campaigns, totaling nearly $2 billion-or about $4 million per congressional seat up for grabs.
Politics Daily has a breakdown of which races to watch in the next week.
- Pray for godly candidates to be granted favor, resources, campaign workers and objective media coverage. Pray for voting machines to tally votes correctly, and against any attempts to manipulate the elections through fraud or other schemes.
- Intercede for mercy and good government for this election season - that voters would take the time to examine candidates, positions and issues on the basis of truth, virtue, character and conscience.
- "The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight. For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure." (Proverbs 11:1, 14)

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance." (Ps. 33:12)
9. Pray that the candidates seek the Will and the Ways of God through prayer and Godly wisdom, knowledge, and understanding by adhering to the Word of God.
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Romans 12:2)
10. Pray that the Christian candidates not compromise themselves, their state or the nation with the world, but maintains their integrity as befits a believer in Jesus.
"Far be it from me that I should say you are right; Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go; My heart shall not reproach me as long as I live." (Job 27:5, 6 )
11. Pray for the candidate's families, their staffs, workers and all involved in their campaigns. Pray health, safety, and protection over them. Pray for their strength and good judgment.
"And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." (Acts 3:16)
