The government says water tests have confirmed underwater oil plumes from the BP oil spill, but that concentrations are "very low."

- Father, we boldly come before You asking that Your knowledge and wisdom be given to those who are dealing with this issue. Your power is over the waters and the earth; we thank you for a quick solution to this crisis. In Jesus Name.

- "For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did He in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places." (Psalm 135:5-6)

2. U.S. Debt to Rise to $19.6 Trillion by 2015 - ABC News

B. U.S.'s $13 Trillion Debt Poised to Overtake GDP - Bloomberg

Obama is poised to increase the U.S. debt to a level that exceeds the value of the nation's annual economic output, a step toward what Bill Gross called a "debt super cycle."

- Almighty God, stand against any and all measures that would increase the debt level in the United States. We ask that Your all-sufficient power will overrule all earthly power that continues to drive this debt upward. Strip and pull down these intents of destroying our country by excessive debt. We humble ourselves before our mighty God, who is God over all. In Jesus Name.

- "Now therefore, what have I here, says the Lord, that My people is taken away for naught? they that rule over them make them to howl, says the Lord; and my Name continually every day is blasphemed. Therefore My people shall know My Name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am He that does speak: behold, it is I." (Isaiah 52:5-6)

3. Earthquake swarms continue in Southern California - LA Times

A swarm of small earthquakes continued to occur overnight in the Big Bear Lake area.

- Father, this shaking in the earth is a sign from heaven that You want to get the attention of those who are watching. God desires to be known as God Almighty over all the earth. Lord, get the attention of all those who are called to repentance. In Jesus Name.

- "I will shake the heavens and the earth; and I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen." (Haggai 2:21-22)

4. Military abortion issue returns - Washington Times

Three months after abortion nearly derailed President Obama's health care bill, the hot-button issue is back before Congress with an amendment to the Senate's defense policy bill that would end the military's long-established ban on allowing abortions in its overseas hospitals.

- God, we cry out to You that this ban not be lifted nor changed. We call forth holy angels of God to hold this moral ban intact and protect it with a lock down that will soundly close the gate to abortions. In Jesus Name.

- "Now is the end come upon you, and I will send mine anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense upon you all your abominations. And my eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense your ways upon you, and your abominations shall be in the midst of you: and you shall know that I am the Lord. Thus says the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold is come." (Ezekiel 7:3-5)

5. Big States Dilute Tea-Party Strength - Wall Street Journal

The raucous and costly Republican primary races in California and Nevada, like those in other states, attest to the tea-party movement's rising influence. But Tuesday's votes in the two states will be the first big test of the movement's promise and limits -- and offer clues to its nationwide strength this fall.

- God, we pray that righteousness will cover our nation. Our hearts cry out for godly leadership in our states, so that the darkness is lifted, and we have a major breakthrough that will open the portals in heaven, and the light of God shine through. In Jesus Name.

- "In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you." (Isaiah 54:14)

6. US charges six in Iran satellite conspiracy - ABC News

A Maryland man and five Iranian citizens are accused of violating the trade embargo against Iran by conspiring to sell technology used to launch a telecommunications satellite.

- Father God, reveal all hidden plans of our enemies. Uncover all that is done in darkness and expose it, that none escape. Let no transaction be completed or used against us. Block the schemes of the enemy. Draw out all those who are conspirators and bring them to justice. In Jesus Name.

- "God rules by His power forever; His eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah." (Psalm 66:7)

7. Clinton: Iran sanctions will be toughest ever - Ynet News

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Tuesday called the proposed new UN sanctions against Iran's suspect nuclear program the toughest ever, a day before the UN Security Council was expected to vote on the measure.

- Father, guide the votes on this measure and bring down the nuclear program in Iran. Lord, enforce these new UN sanctions in the Name of Jesus. The land in Iran will be desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor and because of his fierce anger should they not be curtailed. Rise up, Lord, and take control of this situation. In Jesus Name.

- "He that diligently seeks good procures favor: but he that seeks mischief, it shall come unto him." (Proverbs 11:27)

8. Ahmadinejad Stresses Need for New World Order - Fars News Agency

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday called for cooperation among world states to forge a new world order.

- Father God, restrain this action until Your set time has come. Hold back all forces that would jump ahead and preempt what God's prophetic Word says. Render them powerless who move in the timing of man and forsake God's timing. In Jesus Name.

- "Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come." (Matthew 24:42)

White House Appeasement Policy Emboldens Terrorism

The appeasement policies of the man who occupies the Oval Office could lead to a world war. The events of the past two weeks regarding the so-called "humanitarian flotilla" that was raided by the Israeli military was a long-planned event designed to provoke a fight. In reality, the flotilla was sponsored by a front organization with deep ties to terrorist groups in Turkey and Iran. These terrorists were trying to run a blockade established by Egypt and Israel to prevent the aiding and abetting of the terrorist group Hamas rearming with help from Syria and Iran. But the appeasement policy of the US Administration has so emboldened the terrorists that they are making a play to pick a fight with Israel.

Case in point is the president's infamous Cairo address that set the tone for America's new foreign policy with Islam. In this, he credited Islam with developing algebra, the compass and printing--all fabrications ignoring the contributions of Christians, Jews and Greeks long before Islam was founded. He also said that "throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality." The Koran instructs its followers to kill Jews and Christians. Islamic nations rank at the top of the State Department's most egregious violators of human rights irrespective of race or gender.

In the wake of that address and a deadly attack by an anti-Semite at the Washington, DC Holocaust Museum, Rabbi Dr. Morton Pomerantz, a member of the Reform movement of Judaism, wrote in a June 2009 column for Newsmax, "Our new president...is most certainly creating a climate of hate against us...It is no coincidence that we are witnessing this level of hatred toward Jews as [sic the President] positions America against the Jewish state. . .And if his views are not vigorously opposed they will help create a danger as great as that posed by the Nazis to the Jewish people." A year later, Iran is so emboldened that it planned a direct provocation of Israel using a NATO ally, Turkey, as the surprise vassal.

Citing the Obama's Turkey speech on April 6, 2009 where he claimed that the United States is no longer a Christian nation, and the Cairo speech, former Israeli Ambassador Yorum Ettinger says in a May 28th editorial, "Islamic terrorism constitutes a real and present danger to the US in spite of - and inflamed by - [sic] Obama's appeasement of Islam." This appeasement policy by the US toward Islam has emboldened the terrorists to provoke Israel into defending itself. The Lord says in Ezekiel 22:30, "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it." This White House creates the gap rather than standing in it.

DADT: A Letter from Tony Perkins

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" -- A Letter from Tony Perkins

Dear Sara,

Two weeks ago, the House of Representatives voted to tack the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) revocation onto the Defense Authorization bill--a legislative trick designed to give protective cover to Members of Congress who don't wish to go on record as voting for open homosexuality in the military. The Senate Armed Services Committee did the same.

Now, many members of the U.S. Senate who have not decided how they will vote will be placed under immense political pressure to vote for sending vital supplies and armaments to our troops while downplaying the fact that the needs of our brave men and women in uniform are being used as a pretext to advance a radical social-political agenda.

[sic] Obama and the Congressional leadership have chosen to ignore the planned year-long study of the policy by the military, along with grave concerns from all four of the military service chiefs, about the ramifications of overturning the law. They have, in effect, told our qualified military leaders to shut up and conform.

This is not over in the Senate. The bill--which also includes a provision that would turn our domestic and foreign military bases into taxpayer-subsidized abortion clinics - still awaits a vote by the full Senate.

We need your help in telling Congress and Obama that our troops should not be used to advance the Left's radical agenda. Please sign our petition which we will present to the Senate this month as they take up debate on this issue. We already have 70,000 signatures and hope to have 100,000 by the time we present it to the Senate.

If you've already signed, please share this with as many friends as possible, so it can have maximum effect.

Join thousands of other Americans in signing the petition to protect our troops by preserving the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in the military.

Sincerely,

Tony Perkins
President

P.S. Please forward this email to as many friends as possible.

Correction from CHPP:

On Monday's edition of the OCAP, we reported that the Senate would delay the vote on this policy reversal until next December.

After additional research on this key prayer point, we now know that the vote to reverse this policy may come up as soon as this summer in the U.S. Senate.

THE TIME TO ACT TO PROTECT OUR MILITARY IS NOW!

We encourage all of our prayer partners and friends to please sign Tony's petition, above, and to pass this word along to your own friends, as well.

Thank you and God bless you.

Key vote on EPA Carbon Tax Thursday

As you may know, Obama's EPA has already announced that it will use its regulatory authority to impose the Carbon Tax without one vote in Congress or citizens having any voice in the matter.

Even if Obama fails to pass the Carbon Tax through Congress next month, he will still get the Carbon Scheme imposed through the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).

The only thing standing in his way is a resolution by Sen. Murkowski's (R-Alaska). This resolution is an amendment (S. J. Res.26) that, if passed, would stop the EPA's global regulatory agenda dead in its tracks.

S. J. Res. 26 reads: "A joint resolution disapproving a rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to the endangerment finding and the cause or contribute findings for greenhouse gases under section 202(a) of the Clean Air Act."

A vote has been set on the Murkowski Amendment by the full Senate for THIS THURSDAY. That leaves us just a few short but crucial hours for citizens to let their Senators know what they think about Murkowski's bill (SJ Res. 26). It already has 41 senators as co-sponsors and needs just 51 votes to pass.

The vote on this bill is scheduled for Thursday in the full Senate, so your senators must hear from you today! Tell them to vote "Yes" on S.J.Res 26.

Many Senators are sitting on the fence regarding which way they'll vote. Now is the time to tell your Senators to support Sen. Murkowski's resolution and remove the power from the EPA, an unelected Washington Bureaucratic agency.

The EPA's policy, if not stopped by S.J.Res. 26, will do the following:

• Give the EPA regulatory authority over every vehicle in America.

• Give the EPA regulatory control over millions of "stationary sources" of CO2, including power plants, factories, farms, offices and apartment buildings, hospitals, schools and churches. (Yes, churches!) The cost of applying for a permit (to emit plant food!) could run as high as $100,000.

• Cause, as Obama promised, the cost of electricity for American families to "necessarily skyrocket."

• Hit the poor the hardest. Households with annual incomes of less than $50,000 already have an energy cost burden of 19% of their income. (The average household energy cost burden is between 5% and 10%.) Two-thirds of black families and 60% of Hispanic families make less than $50,000 per year. As Dr. E. Calvin Beisner of the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation says, "Since the poor will be hurt more than others by rising energy costs, the astronomical increases that would follow . .. .amount to a regressive tax -- hurting most of all the people who can least afford it."

Call your two Senators TOMORROW and let them know what you think about the EPA imposing a carbon tax on the nation without a vote in Congress. Call the Capitol Hill Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to the senators from your state.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Ask the LORD to grant favor to this amendment, so that it PASSES in the Senate tomorrow, and our separation of powers will be sustained.

- "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (Matthew 21:22)

Obama Gets Crass

When it comes to the public perceptions of Obama, a few narratives are starting to take root. One is that he's a committed ideologue whose socialism has become more evident. Another narrative is that he is a detached and dispassionate deep thinker. Put it together and you get a strange combination of an "unemotional bully." There are elements of truth to all of it. What do you get when you mix an ACORN organizer with an Ivy League law professor? You get Obama.

The Obama White House spends an unbelievable amount of resources on daily polling, and the buzz in Washington in recent days has been about the growing concerns among Democrats over what they are finding in these polls - especially regarding the president's perceived passivity and lack of emotion.

So the wordsmiths at the White House, the folks who are credited with making Obama one of the greatest orators of our time, came up with the crass A word for Obama to use on the Today Show to make him look tough. In an interview that aired this morning, Obama told Matt Lauer, "I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose a-- to kick." I think it will take more than a few crass words to remake our community organizing president into a tough guy.

But let's look at the bright side. If Obama is going to kick the president of British Petroleum's a--, maybe that means he will have to temporarily stop kicking the a-- of the American taxpayer. (Gary Bauer)

The Widows Speak

Democrats looking for a November sound bite at Monday's congressional hearing on the Gulf spill likely left disappointed. Two widows of men killed on the Deepwater Horizon rig spoke at the hearing. While they called for better safety enforcement, they also defended offshore drilling.

Natalie Roshto said, "I fully support offshore drilling and I always will." God bless Mrs. Roshto. It was undoubtedly difficult for her talk about the disaster, but hers was the voice of reason and commonsense that is so often lacking in Washington today.

In response to the spill, the Obama White House shut down deepwater drilling and there have been conflicting reports on the status of shallow water operations. But here are the facts: Each deepwater rig employs roughly 225 men, and each rig job supports four land-based jobs. All told, some 40,000 jobs are at immediate risk by the continued ban on drilling.

Here's your trick question of the day: If Obama's knee-jerk reactions put BP into bankruptcy, will Obama then bail BP out because it is "too big to fail"?

News from Syria

Syrian envoy's attack on Israel threatens to foil U.S. diplomatic drive

Syria on Tuesday accused Israel of indoctrinating its children with hatred towards Arabs, telling the United Nations Human Rights Council that Israeli youngsters sing about sucking Arab blood, and learn how to sign missiles destined for military activity against Arabs. The tirade, delivered by Syrian diplomat Rania Al Rifaiy, was part of a Syrian appeal at the world body for countries to unite behind a campaign to "put an end to Israeli brutality."

The tirade came as Turkey sought a fresh condemnation of Israel over its deadly raid on Gaza-bound aid ships last week and hosted Syria and other regional leaders in Istanbul to discuss security in the region. Presidents Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, Bashar al-Assad of Syria and Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan, as well as Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas attended the gathering, which ended with a call on Israel to end its "inhuman" blockade of the Palestinian territory.

The emerging ties among the regional powers in opposition to Israel pose a new problem for the United States - even as Washington and other UN Security Council powers said Tuesday they were set to vote on a resolution that would impose a fourth round of UN sanctions on Iran because of its nuclear program. Southern Baptist Program Helps Kids in Foster Care

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and Bethany Christian Services are teaming up to help SBC pastors adopt kids.

Corey Abney, a teaching pastor at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., said they'll do that with a series of grants.

"We are launching a matching adoption fund for ministers and missionaries," he said, "who are looking to adopt, but don't have the financial resources to pay for it out-of-pocket."

The SBC will match up to $2,000 and Bethany Christian Services will pitch in $1,000.

Abney said it's a response to an increasing emphasis on adoption across the country.

"It's an opportunity for us to seize the moment and bring more attention to adoption," he said, "which not only helps us to better proclaim the Gospel, but also helps us to reach orphans." (CitizenLink)

Praise the Lord Today!

Praise the Lord Today . . . for this Great Nation Which HE Has Founded!

Tea Party Member Stuns Crowd!

In this video, the former Marine sings this verse in great voice with great emotion. Then quickly, one by one, everyone begins to stand up.

Thanks to the singer, the former Marine, and thanks to the Lord of the Universe, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, for giving us life and liberty.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
