The Daily Brief
1. Obama Declares 'Reckless' BP Will Pay Gulf Cleanup - ABC News
Vowing to "make BP pay," President Barack Obama accused the oil giant of "recklessness" in his first address to the nation from the Oval Office Tuesday night, eight weeks to the day after the catastrophic oil spill began destroying waterways, wildlife and a prized Gulf Coast way of life.
- Father, reveal the root cause behind this oil spill. Reveal the hidden opportunistic "changes" to how we produce and use energy, and who will benefit from these changes. Uncover and lift the cloak that hides the truth. Lord, we call forth divine intervention from our holy God who has all knowledge and wisdom to override and overrule all insidious plans to use this incident to destroy our future. Set a heavenly host of angels to encircle everything about this oil spill and bring it into perfect alignment with God's will. In Jesus Name.
- "Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me." (Micah 7:7)
2. Full oil spill compensation looks increasingly unlikely - Deutche Welle
In combating the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, BP has resorted to controversial methods of distancing itself from negative publicity. Critics fear full compensation for environmental and economic damage is unlikely.
- God, we ask that You protect this oil company from extinction and provide the needed compensation that comes with a national disaster. Hold back the forces of darkness by the blood of Jesus, and extend Your hand to supply what is needed. In Jesus Name.
- "I will sing unto the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider has He thrown into the sea. The Lord is a man of war, the Lord is His Name." (Exodus 15:1,3)
3. Gulf oil leak estimates dramatically rise again - Washington Post
The official estimate of the flow rate from the leaking gulf oil well has surged again, with government officials announcing Tuesday that 35,000 barrels (1.47 million gallons) to 60,000 barrels (2.52 million gallons) of oil a day are now gushing from the reservoir deep beneath the gulf.
- We declare God's will to take over all the circumstances of this destructive oil leak, and bring everything under Your intended purpose. In Jesus Name.
- "And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was accomplished of our God." (Nehemiah 6:16)
4. Residents Get 6 Votes Each in Suburban NY Election - ABC News
Arthur Furano voted early -- five days before Election Day. And he voted often, flipping the lever six times for his favorite candidate. Furano cast multiple votes on the instructions of a federal judge and the U.S. Department of Justice as part of a new election system crafted to help boost Hispanic representation.
- Father, destroy the works of deceit and wickedness, dishonesty and unfairness. Pull down those who work their way up by evil means by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus Name.
- "Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test every man's work of what sort it is." (1 Corinthians 3:13)
5. 2 strong quakes hit off Indonesia's Papua: USGS+ - AP
Two strong earthquakes struck near the coast of Indonesia's Papua early Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the magnitude 6.4 and 7.0 quakes.
- God, You are shaking the earth to awake out of a sleep. Reveal the magnificence of Your holiness by dreams and visions to all the world; that they come into the knowledge of Jesus as their Savior. We are nearing the end-times and all need to know Jesus. In Jesus Name.
- "Then shall the Lord return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves Him not." (Malachi 3:18)

This week, for all the headlines cited below, please join us in proclaiming THIS DECREE:
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills-from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth." ( Psalm 121:1,2 )
1. 'Gov't failed Gaza evacuees' - Jerusalem Post
The State of Israel failed completely in its resettlement of the Gaza and Samaria evacuees, according to the definitive report released Tuesday by the State Commission of Inquiry into the Handling by the Authorized Authorities of the Evacuees from Gush Katif and Northern Samaria. Close to five years since they were forcibly removed from their homes in August 2005, the report showed that more than 70 percent of them lack permanent housing and are living in temporary dwellings.
2. PA alarmed over Hamas's legitimacy - Jerusalem Post
As Hamas prepares to mark the third anniversary of its violent takeover of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Authority officials in the West Bank voiced deep concern over what they described as attempts to "legitimize" the Islamist movement's "coup."
3. Israel to unveil measures to ease Gaza blockade - Ha'aretz
Israel is expected to approve measures on Wednesday that will ease the blockade on the Gaza Strip and allow more aid into the territory.
4. Abbas calls for Hamas reconciliation - Jerusalem Post
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has urged Hamas to endorse a reconciliation pact drawn up with Egyptian mediation, AFP reported on Tuesday, citing the Egyptian news agency.
5. Lebanon, Turkey oppose Israeli raid probe - Ynet News
While the United Nations secretary-general continues to support the establishment of an international commission of inquiry into the deadly Israeli raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla, Lebanon and Turkey are the only Security Council members to object to the committee appointed by Israel, a diplomatic source told Ynet on Tuesday following a Security Council discussion.

Connecting the Dots between Headlines and Prophecies
The headlines around the world are spinning fast with prophetic significance. Iran is sending so-called "humanitarian relief" ships to Gaza. While the government there says it is not intending to pick a fight with Israel, actions speak louder than words. Saudi Arabia, according to US Defense Department officials, has given Israel clearance to Saudi airspace in the event Israel wants to bomb Iran. It is reported that the United States, at the directive of the White House, is going to support a United Nations investigation of Israel over the terrorist blockade incident outside Gaza. There are even several reports circulating that the American president admitted he is a Muslim to the Egyptian Foreign minister.
The Lord says in Ezekiel 38 that there will be a colossal battle in the latter days where Magog (considered modern day Russia with perhaps extensions into China and Turkey), Persia (modern day Iran), Ethiopia (Northeastern Africa) and Libya (Northwestern Africa) will come against Israel. Ezekiel 39:9 says that they that dwell in the cities "shall set on fire and burn the weapons" from that battle, "and they shall burn them with fire seven years." Isaiah 17:1 says that "Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." One can see the city of Damascus, Syria from Israel's land in the Golan Heights.
The Lord says in Zechariah 12:3, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." Verse 9 says, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." In decades past, the United States has been a strong supporter of Israel. Many prophetic writers have wondered how will the US ever be a part of this prophecy, yet in one ballot, one election, we have seen the foreign policy of America take a nearly 180 degree turn in support of Islamic states over Israel--to the point of allowing Iranian nuclear proliferation at Israel's expense.
The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:1, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." But he exhorts believers in verses 14-15, "But continue thou in the things which thou has learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." And Jesus said in Matthew 24:32-33, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." These are days where we must prepare our hearts.

A BROTHER IN NEED OF OUR SUPPORT
MOSAB HASAN YOUSEF: NOW!
Mosab Hasan Yousef, author of the New York Times best-selling non-fiction book, Son of Hamas, needs our prayers.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security may soon deport Mosab back to the West Bank where he very well could be assassinated. He is scheduled for a DHS hearing on June 30th that could decide his fate. U.S. officials believe his previous leadership role in Hamas is too great a risk to give him political asylum here in the States. But they are not properly assessing the totality of his story and the situation.
Here are the facts. Yes, Mosab is the son of one of the founders of Hamas and was a rising leader in the terrorist organization - he described his role in detail in his book. That said, Mosab renounced Hamas and risked his life to become a double agent working for the Israeli secret service (Shin Bet) against Hamas. In so doing, Mosab helped to stop scores of terrorist attacks and helping Israel arrest scores of jihadists. Then, Mosab renounced Islam and became a follower of Jesus Christ.
His story was first revealed through the Haaretz, one of Israel's leading and most credible newspapers. The Haaretz team carefully vetted his story and have done numerous follow up stories. The Israeli government has not denounced him as a liar - to the contrary, Mosab's Shin Bet handlers affirm his story and say that he is telling the truth.
Mosab has lived in the U.S. for the two years and is actively speaking out here and around the world through the media and in speeches against Hamas, against Radical Islam, and in favor of the U.S., Israel and most importantly his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
The U.S. has given political asylum to people who have done far less for the U.S. and the cause of freedom than Mosab - he deserves and should receive the right to stay in this country and become an American citizen.
Please pray for the following:
- Pray for Mosab to have Jeshua's peace and joy during such turmoil and stress
Pray for Judge Rico J. Bartolomei on June 30th to truly hear and understand all the facts and come to the proper conclusion that Mosab has truly renounced Islam and Hamas, that he is not a threat to U.S. national security in any way, shape, or form, that he should stay in the U.S., and that he would be in grave danger if he were sent back to the West Bank.
Pray for Members of Congress to take up Mosab's case and intervene on his behalf with the Department of Homeland Security (my colleagues and I are currently working on this, as are other friends and allies of Mosab)
- Pray, too, that the media will raise the profile of Mosab's case so still more people can learn about it and begin to pray (Source: Joel Rosenberg)
* * * Additional Prayer from CHPP * * * PLEASE GIVE THIS YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IN PRAYER AND ACTION!!! TO DEPORT THIS PRECIOUS, COURAGEOUS, MAN OF GOD WOULD BE A CRIME MOST HEINOUS! WE MUST PUT A FIREWALL AROUND HIM, AND PRAY THE FEAR OF THE LORD INTO THOSE WHO HAVE MADE DEALS TO BETRAY HIM TO DEATH.

A Note of Correction: H.R. 5111 - The Protect Life Act
Dear Friends,
Yesterday we mistakenly reported that Congressman Randy Forbes had introduced the "Protect Life Act" (H.R. 5111).
The actual sponsor of this bill is, instead, Congressman Joe Pitts (R-PA). Congressman Forbes has signed onto this bill as one of its cosponsors.
This legislation would amend the new healthcare law to include the original Stupak language as modeled after the Hyde Amendment to close any loopholes or ambiguities that could lead to tax-payer funds being used for abortions. It is my hope that this will be one of many steps toward correcting the flawed healthcare bill that was signed into law by the President.

"Ginni Thomas: Democrats Imposing Tyranny"
The Democrats' control of the White House and Capitol Hill has resulted in tyranny, says Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, founder of LibertyCentral.org.
Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has harsh words for President Obama and the Democrat-controlled Congress.
"I've never seen in my 30 years in Washington an agenda that's so far left," Thomas tells Newsmax.TV. "It grabs a lot of power so that Washington elites can pick winners and losers."
Washington has turned away from our Founding Fathers, says Thomas, a former consultant to The Heritage Foundation.
They gave us a government that's supposed to make us "citizens, not subjects; to be self-governed, not to be ruled by a tyranny in Washington," Thomas says.
"Whether it's a soft tyranny or a hard tyranny, it's time to put our foot down. If we don't stop this train that's headed for a cliff right now, we won't have the country we grew up in." (NewsMax) Read more
