"Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and forsake wrath . . . those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land." (Psalm 37: 7-9)
The Daily Brief
1. With Obama's blessings, LGBT month kicks off - One News Now
The day after the House and a Senate committee voted to repeal the U.S. military's ban on homosexuals serving openly in the military, President Barack Obama ushered in another month-long celebration of the homosexual lifestyle.
- Our Father, this celebration is an abomination before the mighty God of the universe. We cry out for mercy. We bow before our holy God and plead for the souls of those who are caught up in this rebellion; who have turned their faces away from Your righteousness. Open their blinded eyes and save them by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus Name.
- "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:1-2)
2. BP to Use Giant Shears to Cut Leaking Pipe - Fox News
The BP oil slick drifted perilously close to the Florida Panhandle's famous sugar-white beaches Wednesday as a risky gambit to contain the leak by shearing off the well pipe ran into trouble a mile under the sea when the diamond-tipped saw became stuck.
- God, we plead for divine intervention. Reach out Your hand and push back the waves that would carry this oil to shore. We declare that we are protected by Jehovah-Nissi. We ask that you build walls of fire around our coastline. May the prayers of the saints become hedges of protection. We cry out that the blood of Jesus, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit, stand against this destruction, and bring safety to our harbors. In Jesus Name.
- "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears; and delivers them out of all their troubles." (Psalm 34:17)
3. Justice Department lacks WMD planning, report says - LA Times
The Justice Department is not prepared to ensure public safety in the aftermath of an attack using weapons of mass destruction, the agency's inspector general said Tuesday in the latest warning about U.S. government readiness for a catastrophic terrorist event.
- God, we ask that you raise up a mighty warring army of angels to fight this battle. Where evil abounds, grace does much more abound. We lean on the mightiness of our God to step into the path of our enemies and block their way. Redeem those who will turn to God and cleanse them of their wickedness and save their souls. In Jesus Name.
- "And they that know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken them that seek You." ( Psalm 9:10)
4. Spill Draws Criminal Probe Wall Street Journal
The U.S. has launched criminal and civil investigations into the Gulf of Mexico oil spill --the latest move by the Obama administration to show it is taking aggressive action amid bipartisan criticism of its response to the disaster.
- O Lord, bring to the surface all the hidden evil behind this oil spill. Reveal and expose to the uttermost all things and people responsible for this catastrophe. You have seen from heaven what took place and we call for Your mercy in this time of need. In Jesus Name.
- "Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; seek out his wickedness till you find none. The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land." (Psalm 10:15-16)
5. Euro slides to four-year low versus dollar - Reuters
The euro fell to a fresh four-year low against the dollar on Tuesday, on signs the euro zone's debt crisis is spreading to its banking system.
- Father, all signs point to the prophetic warnings of the end-time. When money fails and banking systems fail, the government takes over our livelihood. Catch us up to be in the safety of the Lord God Almighty and hold us steady and unmovable in Your grace and mercy. Provide by unlimited miraculous provision for all those who put their trust in You. In Jesus Name.
- "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. God is ever merciful, and lends; and His seed is blessed." (Psalm 37:25-26)
6. EU jobless hits record 10.1 per cent - Sydney Morning Herald
Debt-laden Europe posted a record unemployment rate on Tuesday and its core currency and shares plummeted amid a worrying industrial slowdown.
- God, may all of Europe repent of their sins and turn to a merciful God in heaven who redeems their souls and gives them new life in Christ. All He asks is that they depart from evil, and do good; and dwell forevermore. Meet them at their time of dire need, O God, and draw them into the safety net of Your eternal love. In Jesus Name.
- "Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace and well being. But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: He is their strength in the time of trouble." (Psalm 37:37, 39)
7. Will Governments' Debt Jeopardize Global Economy? - CBN News
The financial crisis across Europe is so bad, the European Union Central Bank has put eurozone banks on notice, advising them that another $236 billion in toxic loan losses may be in store over the next year and a half.
- Father, break the power of the unseen rulers of the world financial market who are setting up their takeover giving all power to the government, which they control. Pull out the props that hold their position, for we call out to a holy God for an extended time so that there will be world revival where men will turn their attention toward God and they be saved from an eternity with satan. In Jesus Name.

8. UN Says Iran Can Fuel Two Nukes - NewsMax
In their last report before the United Nations Security Council votes on sanctions against Iran, international nuclear inspectors declared that Iran has now produced a stockpile of nuclear fuel that experts say would be enough, with further enrichment, to make two nuclear weapons.
- Father, enforce these sanctions against Iran speedily and hinder their power to move forward with nuclear weapons. Dilute the nuclear fuel that it will be inferior for what is needed. Expose their tactics and strategies regarding a possible attack against Israel. Bind deception and lies under the blood of Jesus and break up their strength. Protect the Iranians who are believers and may angels stand guard over their households, wives and children that no harm come upon them. In Jesus Name.
- "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour." ( I Peter 5:8)
9. Turkey's Minister Criticizes U.S. - Wall Street Journal
Turkey's foreign minister ratcheted up the pressure on the Obama administration to take a tougher stand against Israel Tuesday, saying he was disappointed by what Ankara regards as a slow and tepid response by the international community to the raid by Israeli forces on a flotilla of Turkish aid ships.
- Father God, the actions of the Turkish people aboard this ship who disobeyed orders to retreat to another Israeli port should be called to bear upon their blatant intentions to be armed and ready to fire upon Israel. They were illegally entering this area. Lord, we stand in the authority of the name of Jesus, and take dominion over the strongman exhibited through this encounter with the Turks. Bind all compromise under the blood of Jesus and bring divine justice and the perfect will of God. In Jesus Name.
- "You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you: and the light shall shine upon your ways." (Job 22:28)

Islamist blockade runners exemplify how quickly end time prophecy can advance
The Lord God says in Leviticus 24:22, "Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country." This means that strangers, visitors, outsiders, whatever you want to call them must obey the laws of the nation that they enter. Israel and Egypt set up a naval blockade of Gaza to prevent the Palestinian terrorists from rearming and causing more Israeli deaths. The Turkish blockade runners, who by the way have ties to al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations, could follow the Israeli procedure and allow inspection of their humanitarian aid which Israel promises it will pass through to Gaza. But this is nothing about humanitarian aid.
This is about Islamists creating an international incident and moving strategically against Israel. Now there are worries that others are going to run the blockade. There are concerns that even the Turkish Navy will escort the blockade runners. They would not be so bold if the world would not have reacted so viciously against Israel. Many nations are condemning Israel's use of force to stop the terrorist's flotilla. Associated Press stepped outside its bounds as a news organization and editorialized that Israel "botched" and "bungled" the boarding of the terrorist-manned ships. The United Nations has the audacity to call for a full investigation of Israel. By what authority?
The European Union, Russia, China, Iran, Libya, Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon all condemned the Israeli action. It is no coincidence. Ezekiel 38 prophesies that these countries along with Ethiopia will come against Israel in a colossal end times battle "to take a spoil, and to take a prey." Israel is the prey as these nations seek its destruction. In Zechariah 12:3 the Lord says, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people; all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." These prophecies are very specific to the consequences of coming against Israel in the latter days.
This incident is instigated by terrorist planners in Turkey with connections to Iran and other terrorist organizations through the IHH Humanitarian and Relief Organization, which is the main sponsor of the blockade runners. Richard Spencer of The Daily Telegraph described the IHH as "a radical Islamist group masquerading as a humanitarian agency." That the world, including the current Administration in the White House, refuses to recognize this charade as it truly is, serves as a remarkable contemporary example of just how quickly nations can become entangled in the prophetic end times. If Turkey provides a naval escort to run the blockade, look for the prophecy clock to move exponentially forward.

Obama's Flotilla
The flotilla of boats intercepted by Israel this week flew the Turkish flag and was paid for by a "charity" deeply implicated in Islamic terrorism. But the "Captain" of the fleet was none other than Hussein Obama.
From the day he took the oath of office, eighteen long socialist saturated months ago, Obama has intentionally followed a Middle East foreign policy that's been hostile toward Israel and friendly toward the Islamist world. Over those months, he has seldom showed anger toward Iran's nuclear obfuscation and deception. But he was described as "seething" with anger over a routine decision by Jerusalem's municipal government to authorize housing units in a well-established Jewish neighborhood.
He has repeatedly said America has no right to interfere in other nations' affairs and has bowed repeatedly to foreign leaders. At the same time his administration has repeatedly tried to dictate to Israel, and he intentionally treated Israel's prime minister with disrespect.
From Tehran to Ankara, from Damascus to Beirut, Islamofacists have read the signals as well. They see Obama as weak, and they know he feels no bond with Israel. They sense opportunity. That is why missiles are being launched from Gaza again. That is why Hezbollah says they are yearning for war. That is why Ahmadinejad threatens a second Holocaust. That is why Syria has rejected every U.S. overture.
And it is also why Turkey, a U.S. ally and NATO member, allowed a flotilla to be launched flying the Turkish flag in a provocative attempt to cause the confrontation that took place. Did Obama even try to convince Turkey to stop the ships? Did he object when Turkey signed a nuclear deal with Iran two weeks ago?
The enemies of Israel and the U.S. are emboldened. They have taken the measurement of the man in the White House and have found him soft. That is why war looms on the horizon eighteen months into "hope and change." And that is why the war's outcome is very much in doubt. (Gary Bauer, End-of-Day,6/2/10)
Update: DADT
Military Abortions May Tank Troop Bill
Obama didn't end up speaking to the military on Memorial Day, but he made his voice loud and clear in Congress the week before. Hours after the House and Senate voted to tack the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) repeal onto the Defense Authorization bill, questions started flying about how the decision would affect our troops -- questions that the Pentagon's formal review was meant to answer. Now that Congress has torpedoed the process, even liberal reporters are wondering what changes await our soldiers. In a piece on Friday, the New York Times tried to chip away at issue after thorny issue. "Will openly gay service members be placed in separate housing, as the commandant of the Marine Corps has advocated? What benefits, if any, will partners or spouses of homosexual service members be accorded? Will all military units be required to treat homosexuals the same? And what re-education will heterosexual officers and enlisted troops receive to prepare them to serve with openly gay soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines?"
To 250 members of the House and Senate who presume to know better than our military, those concerns are secondary to ensuring that U.S. forces are equipped to handle the threats -- to political correctness. Now that the DADT repeal is part of the overall bill, you'd think that Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) would be racing to pass it. But according to our sources on the Hill, he seems reluctant to even bring it up. Last Thursday, Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.) complicated matters for Democrats by offering language that would draft the military into the war on the unborn. By a 15-12 vote, the Senate Armed Forces Committee agreed to an amendment that would lift the ban on abortions in all military facilities. As it stands, the Department of Defense is forbidden from performing abortions -- with exceptions for rape, incest, or the health of the mother. If the Burris language survives, some of military's biggest civilian casualties will be the unborn. Medical facilities would turn into abortion clinics funded entirely by U.S. taxpayers. When President Clinton allowed military abortions back in 1993, doctors refused to perform them. Ultimately, the administration had to hire civilians to do the job.
With Americans more pro-life than ever, it will be difficult to find men and women willing to destroy the next generation of U.S. soldiers. The military was meant to combat terrorism -- not perpetrate it against the unborn. Contact your Senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them to stop passing the Obama's liberal social agenda on the backs of American troops. (Family Research Council)

Israeli Arab minister tries to calm Turkish anger
While several Israeli-Arab Knesset members publicly supported the terror-backed Gaza "aid" flotilla that was seized by Israel, and one MK was even a passenger on one of the ships, at least one Israeli-Arab government official did his best to support his country and calm the rising hatred in Turkey.
In a telephone call to his long-time acquaintance the Grand Mufti of Turkey on Tuesday, Deputy Minister of Development of the Negev and Galilee Ayoob Kara, a member of Israel's minority Arab Druze community, urged the preaching of calm to mobs of angry Turks.
Many of the so-called "peace" activists killed after attacking the Israeli boarding party on the main aid ship were Turkish nationals, members of a terrorist-supporting organization known as the IHH. Ankara has used that fact as an excuse to lead the international charge against Israel, and the Turkish public has responded by taking to the streets in mass protest, some even calling for the destruction of Israel.
Kara reminded the Mufti that "Israel is the most humanitarian country in the Middle East." He said Israel had never objected to the transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and clarified the details of the violent confrontation on the high seas, which was clearly premeditated by the IHH and Hamas.
Kara said that the current atmosphere in Turkey is only going to lead to strained relations and perhaps even armed conflict in the future, prospects that won't benefit either country.
The Turkish mufti, who is described as a leading moderate force in his country, reportedly thanked Kara for the call and promised to take the message of calm and consideration to anyone who would listen. (Israel Today Magazine)
